Brewery
Hemingway's Brewery FNQ is a popular waterfront establishment located at the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina in Port Douglas. It offers a relaxed atmosphere where visitors can savor hand-crafted beers and fresh local produce. The brewery is known for its wide range of on-site brewed beers, including a unique rum made in an agricole style using cane juice from the nearby Mossman Sugar Mill.
Hemingway Brewery may have a small food menu, but when you do everything this well, you don’t need a massive selection! Every dish we tried was excellent. The fish tacos were substantial, the croquettes were big, tasty, and bursting with flavor, and the flash-fried squid was unbelievably fresh—can’t stop raving about it! The coconut prawns were also delicious, and even the margarita pizza was sizable and satisfying. To top it all off, we really enjoyed the Mr Wong beer. The staff was super helpful and accommodating, making the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a visit!

Popped in for a bite to eat, wasn't very busy but beautiful atmosphere. Staff were super polite. Had a beer burger and some prawns Prawns were delicious. Burger was amazing and juicy Surprised that it didn't come with chips it seemed like prawn crackers but still nice Absolutely amaaaazing!!! Recommend to anyone!
Jordan M — Google review
$22 for a 'Smoke Stack' burger which, when read on the menu, sounded waaaay too big for my tummy. Instead, we received what looked like a child size slider. I ran out of meat halfway into my bun. I'd love to say it was packed with flavour instead, but it wasn't. It was a terribly average, unsatisfying burger who's size to price ratio angered me. 100% will NOT be going back.
Kerbi G — Google review
Another visit and a great lunch experience. Staff are the stars, thank you for your smile and hospitality. Can't be better! Starting with so friendly and happy staff to your choice of lovnice beers and good choice of food overlooking inlet. We shall be back.
Nina M — Google review
Lovely spot right on the marina with beautiful water views. The Smoke Stack was one of the best burgers I’ve had—absolutely delicious. It would have been even better with fries instead of pretzels, but still a solid 5 stars. Service was good overall, though the staff seemed to have limited knowledge of the menu and beer options, likely due to the high turnover common in tourist areas.
Apollo G — Google review
Great spot to have a beer and a feed. Lots of space for a seat in the sun or shade. The October fest beers and food were great.
Scott H — Google review
Location was spot on, Chicken was cooked perfectly however the sauce was very ordinary. Partner had the Calamari which was solid.
Andrew D — Google review
Great simple pub food, but with a fantastic range of local beer on tap! Only suggestion, its dark around the tables and had to use a torch to read the small writing on the menus.. Great location

Salsa Bar and Grill in Port Douglas offers a delightful dining experience with its international cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's airy blue and white space, along with outdoor seating, provides a charming ambiance for patrons. Additionally, the establishment is conveniently located at the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina waterfront, offering picturesque views of luxury yachts and tropical palm trees. With almost 25 years of history, Salsa Bar and Grill has become a renowned destination for both locals and tourists.
Salsa is exceptional! We had a group of 22 for a wedding dinner and the whole evening was fantastic. Meeting Paul confirmed our decision to have our wedding dinner there, coordinating with Rhys was relaxed and easy, Adrian looked after us all on the night and was brilliant! The food was not only outstanding but plentiful and our group loved the cocktails, attentiveness of refilling drinks and ensuring everyone happy with their meals. The dessert platters were a resounding hit and everyone is still talking about their experience at Salsa! Thankyou for making our special day extra special!!

Salsa comes through yet again! We have been dining at Salsa almost every year since 2011 and no other restaurant compares. Service - excellent. They are not only efficient and attentive but funny as well. Food - unbelievably good. Thank you again for a great meal!

Would have to be one of my favourite places I dined in Port Douglas. The food was exceptionally delicious. The king fish was absolutely beautiful. And the eye filled hands down, the best eye fillet I’ve ever had as far as flavour in the meal as a whole. 100% recommend Salsa for lunch or dinner and bookings is a must so your not left disappointed
Abby C — Google review
When researching places to eat in PD, this place was recommended. So glad we tried here. We dined here for lunch, and can see why this place is so highly rated. The restaurant was packed and managed to get a spot along the front with a nice view. The calamari was delicious and the glazed pork belly was amazing with so much flavour. Would highly recommend here and will definitely visit again if visiting.
Kate — Google review
Great restaurant. I went with my partner and didn’t book in advance, but we were lucky enough to secure a spot. The service was great and the food was very good too. We got a chance to taste some local fish.
Margot E — Google review
Call in for a beer and entrees but stayed for a full meal. The calamari was highly recommended, it was good but the mains were great. Realy good service from the moment we walked in till we left. Thanks to the team as they really made a difference.
Warick B — Google review
Love the food at Salsa, the pasta tasted incredible beautifully seasoned with fresh seafood! The cocktails were fruity and tropical just what you need! Highly recommend.

Casual place with unique, gorgeous and mostly delicious dishes. Their gnocchi is their specialty and a must. It's big so share. Desserts are amazing as well.

IronBar is a warm and rustic steakhouse located on Wharf Street in Port Douglas, Queensland. It is known for its focus on grilled and smoked meats, as well as offering oyster and cocktail hours. The venue has three floors dedicated to evening enjoyment, an air-conditioned gaming lounge, nightly DJs, and hosts cane toad racing seven nights a week. IronBar is famous for its ribs and lively atmosphere, with the option to enjoy oyster happy hour during specific times.
Our first time here- the oyster happy hour caught our attention. Delicious good in a rustic decor. We had the tasting plate too with the best beef brisket. Next time we'll choose one of the aged steaks which looked fabulous.
Christine D — Google review
Fun and lively atmosphere and staff were nice. The ribs and steak (no pic) were good. Would’ve preferred the sides to not be coated in extra cheese and butter but it is to be expected! A little hard to fit all the dishes for two people on the bar tables for dinner as the plates/bowls are large but manageable. Overall a pleasant dinner out!
Denise N — Google review
We stopped in for a quick drink and a snack and ended up staying for a few drinks and extra food after getting a taste of what IornBar offered. I had a spicy cocktail that was delicious and interesting (and more than some paint-by-numbers mix drink). We kept ordering more food because the bread and first snack we ordered were so tasty. If/when I am back in Port Douglas, I will go out of my way to go back.
Nicholas — Google review
you know how it is after a while you just want a steak. which is why we went to ironbar. Had the 200G 'Coorong Black' Eye Fillet medium rare. Should have asked rare , my fault. tender as, super taste. only regret is not asking if I could have plain mashed potato rather than the truffled. Other than that this was the best feed in FNQ for the week
Wayne — Google review
If you're a carnivore, you need to try this place! The steaks were mouth watering. It was pricey but worth every mouthful. And the wine list, service and desserts ain't half bad either(see photo)
Chris O — Google review
Loved the share plate and the oysters, had a small mistake made with our oyster variety that we ordered but got what we asked for and was given the wrong ones to us for free and a free beer. Wait staff brilliant and the manager was great with everything. When in Port Douglas your loss if you miss out on an experience in the iron Bar.
Dennis G — Google review
Happy hour with a dozen of amazing oysters from Coffin Bay for 30 AUD together with an excellent chardonnay from Margaret River producer Vasse Felix 🥂 I am in food heaven 🙏 service excellent

We walked in 4pm and were lucky to get a seat outside, this place is extremely popular and you should book a table especially in the holiday season. Started off with a few cocktails that were all fabulous and then entrees and dinner, everything was perfect from the steak to the prawn linguine. What really topped it off was the service, Sara looked after us and was never far away when we needed another drink or ready to order food. This is a must do when you visit Port Douglas.

Barbados Port Douglas is a vibrant destination for cruise ship visitors, especially on Wednesdays when the Marina hosts a bustling market. With nearly 25 years of history, the market offers an array of local products and services, from fresh produce like sugar cane juice and coconuts to fashion, jewelry, art, and entertainment. The Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina provides a picturesque backdrop for this lively event.
We loved both times we visited. Once for lunch and once for dinner. It was a beautiful experience. We loved the atmosphere and food. The staff went out of there way to tend to our needs and engaged in conversations with my party on both occasions. We went for lunch and fell in love with the relaxing seating options and the view was fantastic. It was a no brainer t return for dinner and see how the atmosphere changed. It did not disappoint. No annoying insects. Just great food. Amazing drinks. And a memorable meal.

sweltering arvo, sun beating down like a blacksmith's hammer. Stumbled upon this place, and it was like finding an oasis in a desert. Shade? Check. Mist fans? Double check. Basically, a godsend. They kept the heat at bay while we chilled out and watched the world go by. Decent snacks and drinks, too. Nothing fancy, but perfect for a late arvo pick-me-up. Spent a good hour or so there, just soaking up the atmosphere and avoiding heatstroke. Perfect spot for a pit stop before exploring the rest of Port Douglas. Good vibes, good drinks, and a much-needed reprieve from the heat.

We had the most incredible experience at Barbados! From start to finish, the service was absolutely phenomenal. One gentleman went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. The vibe was unmatched – relaxed, stylish, and full of good energy. It was the perfect spot to celebrate and unwind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining or drinks experience!

Best rum cocktails I’ve had and the springrolls were excellent. A nice place to kickback, chat and watch the boats come and go. The daybeds have a nice view and are cool for couples, or for a fun date. Need better signage to direct in the wharf carpark tho. Great service from upbeat & friendly young staff.
En W — Google review
The best spot for a cocktail or drink in Port Douglas. Grab a table to watch the sun set and the boats. The best aperol spritz I’ve had in a long time. Good beer, wine and cocktail selection and the food menu looked good.
Jane L — Google review
My favorite bar. I recommend booking in advance to get a day bed to watch the sunset. Their cocktails are delicious.
Belle F — Google review
Our first day in Port Douglas, we came across this cute little shop called Martinque Island Style and we met Wendy the owner, She was so lovely and she told us about her restaurant called Barbados. Went down that arvo.. what can I say.. amazing vibes, super chilled and relaxed. The food was so delicious.. we had the spring rolls and the katsu pork sando. We had a couple of drinks, I had the Lychee rush which was great. Everything was so filling, tasty and great for sharing. Have to say that Peter who is the manager there was fantastic, he was helpful and always checking in to make sure that we were okay and enjoying all the food even though they were quite busy. Appreciate all of that. Definitely a great place to check out when you are down in Port Douglas and it is on the water so watching the sunset was just beautiful.

Lovely spot to spend the afternoon with nibbles and cocktails. The chili coconut margarita is one of the best I’ve ever had and the salmon cones were unique and had a big burst of flavours.

Jimmy Rum's Mixing Lounge, located on Macrossan Street in Port Douglas, is a unique cocktail lounge with a Hollywood twist. Founded by former Hollywood movie producer Jim Gorman, this establishment offers a cool and vibrant atmosphere. The interior features custom leather furniture, mahogany accents, and art deco wall tiles created by Jimmy and his wife Danielle Piat. The lounge prides itself on serving delicious drinks at reasonable prices in a setting filled with exotic tunes and luxurious seating.
As a fellow bartender travelling from Melbourne, this place is top notch and felt like home. Atmosphere was perfect, tunes were fantastic and the male bartender with the dark hair was so lovely and accommodating! Boulvadier, perfect Manhattan and paper plane were made to perfection and I couldn't fault it. Will return when I'm up here again 💓

Walked in on a whim. And struck gold! Took our entire experience of wining and dining on Macrossan Street - Port Douglas to another level. The ambience was classy and colouring on the walls great. Quirky too -:) Our drinks were amazing. Most of all it was delightful to see the barmen mixing drinks. V v cool. Check out what we ordered - Zombie All around us, there were great drinks getting served, aflame, smoky, sizzling…. Loved our evening there. Great place.
Harlina S — Google review
A beautiful deco bar with absolutely delicious cocktails and a full whisky menu! No food but there is a happy hour with a discount for the whole bill at 5 - 6 pm. We went there a couple times to get some drinks before dinner and we loved it! The staff were super friendly and knew how to make perfect drinks! The only downside for me is that they have a sofa seats but only for a group of 5 or more people 😞 even if they are completely empty everytime we went, they wouldn't let us sit there.
Penny G — Google review
Not at all the sort of bar I was expecting to find in the tropics, but I’m so glad I did, because this is exactly my sort of thing! A dark room with leather couches and red velvet curtains, and great classic rock music. The signature cocktail list is lengthy and creative (plus all the classics are available too) and every cocktail we tried across a couple of visits was incredible. Fantastic service, too, attentive and friendly. Absolutely the place to go if you need to relax after a day in the sun.
David C — Google review
Unfortunately they do not cater to families or parents with young children. Totally understand why for a venue of this stature and wanting to cater to the adults without children and wanting that atmosphere also, but would have been nice if they offered an outdoor area specifically for people with kids as Douglas is a family hot spot, subject to liquor licensing of course. Low rating due to joint being empty at happy hour and the staff that turned us away was a little blunt. No issue we were happy to spend our money elsewhere at many of the top rated venues in Douglas.
Nato — Google review
This is the coolest bar! Love the atmosphere; but mostly love the amazing bartenders. They are truly mixologists and boy do they know their craft! (especially Alex the bar manager)! Ask Alex to make you a drink using your favorite liquor and i promise you will never want to drink anything else again! We went there every night while in Port Douglas and you will too!
Sheree H — Google review
It's a big mood shift walking in to this great dim lit bar from busy main drag. Easily the best cocktails in Port Douglas. I could have settled in for the night but had dinner booking.
Paul S — Google review
Had a great time at this venue. Classy and elegant, great for romantic couples or a chill drink. Nice quality cocktails and happy hour discount 5-6pm. Much better than most of the bars in PD. NB: They don't serve food.

Tin Shed - Douglas Community & Sports Club Inc. is a long-standing social club located on Dicksons Inlet, offering scenic waterfront views and a range of tap beers and bar bites. Established in 1877, it is a favorite spot for locals to enjoy prawns and sundowners while watching reef goers return from their adventures. The club provides honest drink prices, live music, raffles, and community activities.
One of the best places to eat in Port Douglas, and one of only a handful that have a water view. Only tables of 6+ are accepted for a reservation. Dinner is done in 2 sittings. The menu offers a good choice, and don't forget to check out the daily specials. The food is always faultless, as is the service from the staff.
Graham R — Google review
Excellent food at reasonable prices, with a view that can’t be beat. I wouldn’t say it’s cheap, but the food felt worth the price. We booked a 5:30 table on a Tuesday and the place was very busy. Be prepared to line up to order for about 10-15 minutes when it’s busy. Go upstairs to the bar if you want a fancy cocktail. Despite a long line to order the food came out pretty quick. I got a bucket of prawns brought out almost immediately after ordering. The seafood was very fresh and was cooked well. The kids burger was an adult size, and the parmas were also a good size. We got a main calamari and chips for the table to share as well as we all wanted to try. The Thai salad with beef was a pleasant surprise - very tasty. Be aware that the menu contains member and regular pricing, and the burgers are only for lunch. Membership takes 5 days to process, so you can’t expect to sign up right away (not that we confirmed this TBH). The tables and chairs are fairly simple, with plastic chairs, but they’re fairly new and comfortable.
Andrew G — Google review
The food was excellent, though the wait time was considerably longer than expected. Upon arrival, we were advised of a 45-minute wait and given a buzzer so we could enjoy a drink upstairs while waiting. After an hour and a half, we checked back in and were seated within about 10 minutes. Once at the table, service was efficient – our meals arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. The food itself was outstanding. We ordered the daily special, chicken korma, along with the salt and pepper calamari. Both dishes were generous in portion and exceptional in flavour. Despite the extended wait, the quality of the meal made the experience worthwhile.
Tracy M — Google review
Eaten here plenty of times consistently good, what i would call pub grub, but some dishes, especially the specials better than that. Good prices and good service. Gets busy at the weekend especially, so get there early of be prepared for a wait for a table, you cant booked unless for 6 or more people. But grab a drink, pop upstairs and relax until the buzzer goes off to tell you that a table is free. Great sunset views across the estuary too. Get a membership, and save on every beverage and meal.
Andy C — Google review
Waterfront outdoor seating with easy parking despite going on a Sunday market day. Good aircon! Great meals that were well priced, cheaper if you are a member.
Irene K — Google review
Stunning view and pretty good food. We went on 5.30 on Friday night but clearly everyone was there for the sunset and I spent at least 20 minutes waiting to order food. The food was reasonable- I had a Caesar salad after making a random choice when I discovered that burgers aren’t available to order at night (which seems a bit weird), my husband had a steak which was done well and my kids had pasta and calamari and chips which were a good size. Service was good and the food came up pretty quickly for how many people were there.
Jane L — Google review
The food was delicious and we were impressed with the efficiency of meals coming out considering how busy it was. We had the garlic prawns and fisherman’s plate and would happily order them both again. Cheapest drinks we bought whilst in Port Douglas.
Amy M — Google review
Came here for dinner and it was a bit rough around the edges. Self serve drinks and counter order food. Would be great for a drink or two at sunset. Food was a okay but nothing special. Very relaxed atmosphere. Pokies etc on entrance kinda gross.

Seabean Tapas Bar Restaurant, located on Wharf Street, offers a Euro trip experience with its modern and airy surroundings. Inspired by Spanish bodegas, it serves a variety of dishes including paella, tapas, meat-based options like sherry-infused chorizo and seafood like grilled octopus. The restaurant also provides a good range of vegetarian options.
We had an absolutely sensational meal. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was great also. My wife and I both said it was one of the best meals we've ever had. Thank you so much Seabean, you are awesome. I really cannot recommend highly enough.

I have been living here for months and was the first time that I came to this place. Well located, close to the Main Street but far enough from the crowd. Food delicious, congratulations to Flavia that made us a nice paella and the dessert was amazing!! Omg you must try crème brûlée with the coconut, I wanted to order more hahaha
Camila M — Google review
We enjoyed dinner here as walk ins, they were really busy but the lovely man found us a table. We ordered the calamari, the seafood paella and two desserts which were all delicious and the service was excellent. The cocktails were lovely too. Highly recommend this restaurant.
A B — Google review
This was by far the best meal we had in Port Douglas! And one of the best meals we have had anywhere in recent memory. The Tapas specials were ALL phenomenal. We also had fried polenta, olives, and calamari as entrees, and shared the seafood paella for our main. Every bite was a pure delight! For dessert we indulged in the creme Catalan and the almond cake with a delicious vanilla ice cream. Entire staff was warm and inviting. The owner works alongside his fantastic crew of servers and chefs from Spain. Do yourself favor and head over to Seabean for a memorable meal!!!
Sabrina D — Google review
My sister and I really enjoyed our meal, we didn’t book and were lucky to jag seats at the bar. We were in prime position at the bar to enjoy great cocktails and our meal was so tasty- the seafood paella and all of the pintxos choices from the specials board were fabulous. The staff were professionals. Oh and definitely save room for the crème brûlée in the coconut shell.
Sharnie N — Google review
Seafood paella and the crème brûlée were phenomenal. The service was also great, albeit being busy on a Saturday night! The only let down for us were the tapas but it may just be the ones we chose.
Annie P — Google review
I really enjoyed my evening here. We ate entirely from the specials board. Some tapas to start: a spicy slice of Cape Grim steak, tuna tostados and beef cheek empanadas. They were all delicious and beautifully presented. For mains, we shared the Moreton bay bugs in a bath of orange curry sauce, potatas bravas and bread. The curry sauce was delicious, delicately flavoured and delightful when using bread to mop it up. The bugs themselves were a disappointment. Their consistency was soft and floury. Dessert was Crema catalana served in a coconut shell. It was nice.

The pub needs a deep cleaning or a renovation. Furniture was dusty and covered with something sticky and oily. It was a 25 min waiting for the food, even though it was empty. Burgers were dry, chips too salty. I think they might have a potential, but need to improve lots of things.

Nice Irish pub in the heart of Pt Douglas. We visited mid week in late arvo. We only had a couple beers and hot chips for the kids which were standard pub chips, not bad but not amazing, service was nice, prices were as you’d expect for a tourist pub, atmosphere was nice with a few locals and a few tourists. Have seen the place busy most days. We only stopped for a Guinness, which was nice and cold.

Pub was a nice place to have dinner, portions were good but more than I could handle these days...pricing was reasonable given comparison to other venues and I would eat here again.......staff were lovely to deal with

Irish pubs have never failed me. Great service and hearty food! Cold Guiness was so good especially when the weather was hot and humid. Live music in the front outdoor area. BTW the chips were one of the best 👌

Disgraceful Experience – Avoid at All Costs We came to Paddy’s during our visit to Port Douglas and had one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. The oysters were absolutely revolting, clearly not fresh and when we politely brought this to the attention of the waitress, she condescendingly asked if we had ever even had oysters before. Rather than addressing our concern professionally, she continued to treat us with attitude and disregard for the rest of our time there. We left feeling disrespected and extremely disappointed. The service was rude, the food subpar, and the overall experience unacceptable. There are so many better places to eat in Port Douglas do yourself a favor and give this one a miss. A complete disgrace.
Zoe C — Google review
Where to start? We had a table reserved for 9 people and it was set and ready. So far so good. Service is by ordering at the bar and give them your table number. Again pretty simple. Then came an unending stream of the wrong items brought to our table and our items being delivered elsewhere and the server accusing us of moving tables and or providing the wrong table number. We never moved but other diners did. I can deal with the mix up to a degree as it’s a poor system in a pub but the angry attitude from the servers was unacceptable. Oh and…. The food was generally bad. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Nautilus Restaurant, established in 1954, is a renowned dining spot in Port Douglas. The restaurant offers an upmarket Modern Australian cuisine with both à la carte and tasting menus. Set in a tropical outdoor space under palm trees and the night sky, it provides a unique and unforgettable dining experience. Over the years, it has hosted notable personalities like David Bowie and Bill Clinton. The menu features dishes such as green ant cured kingfish, grilled Moreton Bay bugs, and duck three ways.
Dining at Nautilus was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning. Sitting outside among the trees as the sun set and the stars came out created the most magical atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive. Even though it was busy, they checked in with us regularly without ever feeling intrusive and made sure we were well looked after the entire evening. We had the classic five course degustation menu and every single dish was phenomenal. It was easily the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Everything was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly portioned. We left feeling full, happy, and completely satisfied. If we ever find ourselves in Port Douglas again, we will definitely be coming back. This place is a must-visit.

10/10 dining experience! Beautiful location, so unique. Food was exceptional and the wine pairings were amazing. Waiters were knowledgeable, talkative and professional. Myself and my boyfriend had a great time. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I travelled to Port Douglas for our baby moon over the weekend. We had wanted to go to Nautilus a few years ago but ran out of time so made sure we didn’t miss out this trip. What an absolutely incredible dining experience we had! The ambiance of the restaurant is unmatched. The food was so fresh and the flavours were amazing couldn’t fault any of the dishes! The staff were all wonderful and a special shout out to Matilde she was outstanding! If you’re in Port Douglas and want an extra special dining experience this is definitely the place to visit!
Melanie S — Google review
Overrated. Food was nice but not worth the cost. We did matching wines, which were ok but nothing to rave about. The music REALLY killed the vibe - cheesy covers that did not at all suit the vibe or match the supposed elegance of the set menu and setting. A novelty dining experience amongst the rainforest - but note that when it was a rainy night like it was for us, you’re under cover (appreciated) anyway, and just in giant chairs on a deck. We had far better meals elsewhere in Port Douglas (Sassi, Seashells and others).
Jazmin P — Google review
The experience at Nautilus was an absolute 10/10. From the moment we arrived and enjoyed a drink in the lounge area to the very end of the dinner, everything was perfect. Being able to experience the sunset and the evening surrounded by palm trees was truly unforgettable. We chose the vegetarian menu, and it was incredible, every dish was a delight. The combination of flavors was excellent, and we left completely satisfied! The service was also flawless; at no point did we feel like we were missing anything. The staff were attentive and professional, anticipating every detail. Having worked in the hospitality industry for more than seven years, I can honestly say this experience was a 10/10. Without a doubt, the best restaurant in Port Douglas. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately they don’t offer à la carte menu so it was a bit hard for my daughter n my husband who don’t like raw fish , they had wagyu for main . It’s a 5 course menu . The staff were very flexible to please us and the venue is amazing . You need to expect small portions as it is fine dining . Recommend booking

We always pop in here for a beer when we visit Pt Douglas. Next time we will stay for a meal, that's why I can't rate the meal, as we haven't eaten here. The atmosphere is great, with many places to sit and enjoy. I would say you should book, if going there at night for a meal. The tables are always clean and staff friendly. The prices are reasonable, under $20 for 2 drinks. If you like my reviews please follow us around Australia 🇦🇺.

Very busy right on midday, scored a high table out the front. We ordered the calamari with chips and the fish tacos which came out fairly quickly. The calamari was very tender and the chips cooked perfectly. The barramundi in the tacos was the standout! Absolutely delicious. This together with a glass of Shaw and Smith Sauv Blanc made lunch very enjoyable. Highly Recommend.

It’s a beautiful location with views across the beach. Live (and loud!) music adds to the atmosphere. Grabbing a table can be tricky on busy nights. We both ordered the steak. I had the scotch fillet which was cooked well. The chips were cooked well but no seasoning. The salad was drowned in dressing but I thought both the chips and salad could have been a bit bigger. A good option.
Jane L — Google review
Loved the booze and juice drink, steak was sublime and perfectly cooked, chips were great too. Only qualm is that I asked to swap the chips with another side item on the menu but my request couldn't be fulfilled - was looking for a healthier alternative. If this is in fact possible please make it clear to staff for future orders.

A great hotel with a terrific atmosphere. The Court House Hotel is a relaxing place to have a drink, some food and watch the world go by. You can't beat having a drink in the outdoor dining area or deck on a beautiful sunny day. There are indoor dining options too. There is also an area upstairs that is often used for functions. Regular live music is played here on some nights. 'The Courty' is probably the best pub in Port Douglas for food, drink and overall atmosphere. They run an efficient kitchen and we have never had a bad meal here over the years - around three decades of visiting Port Douglas. On our most recent visits, we had a couple of great discussions with the wonderful manager Nikola! We also enjoyed our conversation with one of the very pleasant staff members, Erwan (there's a photo of him below). An always reliable hotel with excellent food and efficient friendly service. Keep up the great work team! :-)

The Central Hotel Port Douglas, established in 1878, is the oldest pub in the area and a beloved spot for locals and families. Great food! We had fish n chips and crispy chicken burger and garlic bread everything came out hot!

Great pub if you love watching your footy on the big screen. Food was good. The kids loved their meals (calamari and spaghetti) and they were a good size. My husband and I had the pulled pork tacos which were a good serve (three tacos) with good pork and coleslaw but too much chipotle sauce for my liking. The meals were served quickly and the boys could watch the footy. I like the atmosphere of this pub and it has a nice outdoor area.

Welcoming service and nice atmosphere. Absolutely amazing cheese garlic bread. Crispy chips and fresh salad but lukewarm ribs and chicken wings. Reasonably priced

Fun atmosphere and social feeling. The food is terrible, absolutely pathetic parmigiana, the crib was thicker than the chicken. They must order their food in and not prepare in the kitchen.

$30 Seafood basket is unbeatable value and delicious. We attended on a Trivia Night, which was heaps of fun and well run, even if the guy running it was a tad cranky and impatient. Awesome open air and indoor dining options, actual clean bathrooms (why is this so hard for hospitality venues?) and a good vibe. Lots of big screens for sport as well.

The best prawn linguine by a country mile. The sauce actually tasted like seafood not just a red sauce. Generous serving of prawns cooked perfectly!!! Well worth going out of your way! Service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. Scallops were also cooked to perfection.

Best meal I’ve had in Port Douglas. Amazing setting to watch the sun down and the food is exceptional. We shared the beef cheeks and seafood fricassee and both were stunning. Followed it up with a perfect 10 banana fritters. Our only regret was finding this place on the last night instead of the first. This place is a must visit!

The Yachty is a great little hidden gem. It has great views of the estuary and marina and is in a quiet location with plenty of parking. The tables are well set-out with stunning views and the atmosphere friendly and inviting. The food is great bang-for-buck, with a diverse seafood menu. The crocodile fritters were very tasty and worth a try. I can also recommend the soft-shell crab sliders. Delicious 😋! Always a good feed, arrived in Port around 4pm, headed straight here for our first (and only) meal for the day. Burgers tasty, hot chippies (one of the 3 of us rated them a 10/10 🍟), and the best thick shakes 👌

DO NOT waste your money in this sleazy badly run greasy burger joint. What a dump, overpriced food, staff more interested in looking cool than actually servicing the customers. Burger very average and overpriced. The only place I have EVER had to pay for fries with a burger. As for the fries, mostly fried bits of batter with no potatoes in the chips (see pic) and you have to pay $6 for a small plate. They were tasteless & inedible. The fact you would not only charge for them but actually put them out is an indication of a very poor eatery. Do NOT waste your money, there are a couple of really good places on the street where they know how to cook & present food.

It's been forever since I received a small (very generous) bowl of crispy sweet potato fries. There's an incredible range of burgers to cover every conceivable desire and if they don't have it you can make your own. The gluten free menu is amazing. The presence of a vegan lentil patty excellent, and it tasted good too. The vibe was great, even at a midweek lunch, the service friendly and fantastic. Craft beers were great. Really theres not a lot of negatives. Maybe a bit more seasoning in the burger patty and on the fries but it was nearly there. I'd go back and work out just what was going to be my new favourite burger, and have more of those crispy crunchy sweet potato fries.

The Beach Shack La Cucina + Bar is a casual dining spot located at the southern end of Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas. It offers a mix of Australian and Italian cuisine, with popular items including fish and chips, steak, chicken parmigiana, and especially their delicious pizzas. Visitors have raved about the quality of food here, particularly praising dishes like the garlic prawn pizza, caprese salad with fresh mozzarella, and tiramisu.
I was a bit hesitant to go because there were many mixed reviews, but my husband and I decided to try it anyway. This is not in the main area of Port Douglas but a little bit further out and as we had a car for the day decided it would be worth giving it a go. I am so glad we did. It is set in a lovely atmosphere, eating out in the open although under a covered canopy and there were plenty of customers. We started with the Grilled Prawns which were delicious. I then had the mussels, and my husband had a pizza (which we can’t remember which one but was fairly plain as he wanted to add the Italian sausage and spicy salami). Both meals were wonderful. We also had the Ciabatta which came with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic butter. It was good to be able to have all three. Service was great, the food was great, and the atmosphere was great. We will be going back when we are in Port Douglas again.

They have a great deal on panini for $18, where you can choose your own ingredients. the bread quality was excellent and the size was just right I also went for happy hour, where Peroni beers were only $10. I tried the oysters and a piña colada too, and both were delicious. Overall, a really great experience!

Ordered the Maialino pizza - the best pizza I have ever had 🙌🏼. Solid pan depth, fluffy dough, crunchy crust, the Italian sausage had so much flavour! The salami had good amount of spice. The garlic focaccia had great flavour of garlic, rosemary and oregano! The lamb pappardelle also had great flavours. The restaurant was away from the town but worth the 7 minute drive out. Fast service and food came quickly.

We had a great experience overall. The calamari was very tender, and the ciabatta was fresh and delicious. The pizza was large and full of flavour. Service was friendly and quick, and the venue itself looked really nice and inviting. Only downside was the music—it was a bit too loud at times, which made conversation a little difficult. Otherwise, definitely worth a visit!

Currently taking my parents from overseas on a little holiday in QLD and came across this place while staying in Port Douglas. Neither my dad nor me are big eaters, but OMG he loved his pizza so much he ate the whole thing while constantly nodding and saying how good it is. I have to say the same about the food I ordered with a special shout for the fresh Ciabatta. I was expecting a few slices but got a full loaf, steaming hot and this incredible olive oil... Needless to say that we all were very happy with our meals and the service we received and can only recommend going there. Portions were very well sized, too. Thanks for having us!

It’s a shame we discovered this place just as our holidays were ending! The pizza was so good, and my husband loved the seafood pasta. We also enjoyed some nice coffee before heading back to the airport today, the perfect end to a lovely time in Port. We’ll definitely be back next time!

Dined here several times during our stay in Port Douglas. Food and service was excellent, family friendly restaurant - 10/10
Joel — Google review
Beautiful place but very average tasting meals, especially for the price. The lasagna was cold in the middle and piping hot on the edges, indicating it was frozen and then microwaved. Prawn pasta lacked flavour, so salt and pepper were needed and although al dente was attempted for the actual pasta, it was a little undercooked still. Some staff were extremely friendly and helpful, but others were not. For example we asked for the bill and were just given it and then left to our own devices for quite some time before we needed to ask another waiter if they bring the eftpos machine or if we have to go up. Very expensive for average meals

Watergate Port Douglas is a sophisticated open-air restaurant and bar that offers modern Australian cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. It's a great spot for enjoying alfresco cocktails on the deck or in the leafy courtyard, with a good wine selection and some of the best cocktails in town. The restaurant overlooks lush tropical gardens and is adorned with flaming lanterns, creating a serene ambiance.
Had an amazing dinner here tonight — definitely a five-star experience. The Tuna Tartare and Duck Pancakes were delicious starters. For mains, we had the poached market fish and the kangaroo — both cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The Geisha Girl cocktail was a standout too — fresh, smooth, and really well balanced. Service was excellent. The staff were not only friendly and attentive but also really knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer great suggestions. You can tell they love what they do. Highly recommend!

We arrived for our reservation at 6:30, and didn’t get our first round of drinks until 7:01 and didn’t get our mains until 7:57 - so nearly an hour and a half wait; and we didn’t have starters, just one serve of bread for the table. I have no idea what went so wrong with the wait time. However it was a beautiful venue, gorgeous natural tree lined deck.. and the waitress we had was lovely. We then ordered dessert and a coffee was forgotten, or didn’t come with the desserts, as it was intended.. not sure! It showed up once we’d all long finished when it wasn’t really wanted anymore. If this venue could get drinks and food coming out in reasonable time frames it would be much better!

4 to 4.5 stars I walked past the entrance twice the same day without realising Watergate existed. It's a green Oasys hidden down a lane way thats been providing fine dining pleasure in Port Douglass for over 20 years. Its a really interesting space that I suspect vopes well with the summer heat. The food is very good without being cutting edge. It undoubtedly straddles the difficult divide between bistro and fine dining that's so hard to navigate. I expect we might have been more excited by choosing other items on the menu. Crispy Vegetable Spring Rolls (GF) (DF) with a green pawpaw salad, crispy shallots and a lemon grass & palm sugar sticky glaze. Well balanced and enjoyable. Eggplant Nasu Dengaku (GF) V Miso glazed eggplant with a coconut & sweet potato puree, pickled red radish and a watercress salad with mustard dressing, sesame & parsley. The presentation needed work although the dish itself worked well. Pork Belly★ (DF) Crispy pork belly with a five spice, soy & garlic glaze, kimchi salad with gochujang dressing and toasted peanuts. This was very good. I was hesitant the kitchen salad would overwhelmed my palate but it was delightfully balanced and the por belly was well cooked and flavoursome. Lamb Ribs (GF) (DF) Twice cooked lamb ribs with a green papaya salad, crispy shallots and a lemongrass & palm sugar sticky glaze. There just wasn't enough balance. The Lamb ribs were very very fatty and the lamb flavour too strong with not nearly enough input from the glaze. The salad was again perfectly balanced. I regretted choosing this dish. Tableland Roasted Potatoes (GF) (DF) V with confit garlic & rosemary. It's difficult to deliver crunchy potatoes but these had obviously waited a long time before serving. No crispness and under seasoned, really disappointing as I went with two entrees to be able to fit in the potatoes. I might go back in the future but not this trip.

Outstanding food & unforgettable service! My partner and I had an amazing dinner at Watergate in Port Douglas, but the real highlight was Julia, our lovely French waitress. She was warm, attentive, and made the whole night feel special with her charm and genuine care. Fantastic food, stunning setting, and service that makes you want to come back. Ask for Julia

I just had dinner here this evening and it was delicious. Great service, loved the ambience of the dining space, gorgeous lighting and lots of greenery. Food was reasonably priced, portion size was great, lovely plated presentation and most importantly very very delicious. Would definitely come back again.

The first restaurant that we really enjoyed in this town. Our previous experiences were qiute mediocre..this place has a creative menu and morden approach to food presentations. Had a kangaroo and beef as main. Both - fantastic! Italian Pinot Grigio was nice, dry and fruity. Service was very good!

We have walked past this place numerous times so decided to try it. Unfortunately didn't live up to our expectations. Beautiful setting not matched to beautiful food. My eye fillet was not on par with any other restaurants in PD, my wife's pasta was tasteless and the entree tart base seemed to be bought from a supermarket. The brussel sprouts side was also disappointing. No love given to anything put on the table. May have been a bad night for the chef or the chef had a night off, I'm not sure, however I'd struggle to go back even after 2 bottles of French wine at $126 a pop that helped me get through the experience. Very disappointed.

We rushed in at 9 PM without having read any reviews, and I’m so glad we did! We enjoyed an absolutely beautiful meal, along with awesome service. The atmosphere was lovely, and I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Rattle n Hum Port Douglas is a classic Australian pub located on Macrossan Street, offering a cozy and family-friendly atmosphere. It's known for serving wood-fired pizza and hearty steak with a relaxed feel. The pub is popular among sports enthusiasts as it broadcasts live AFL, NRL, EPL, A-League, Rugby matches and big events like State of Origin and UFC.
We tried out Rattle n Hum and ended up going back multiple times — it was that good! The music and atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are really friendly. The food is absolutely delicious, with a special shout-out to the Good Ol’ fish and chips. Prices are reasonable, and there’s a great selection of beers on tap. Definitely a spot we’d recommend and will return to.

Sorry guys, we are disappointed. We come for good wood oven pizza How much it takes to make nice garlic pizza? Please do not put so nuch oil on it, please. And fresh garlic would be nice. Otherwise good place to be and service was good.
Nina M — Google review
Sad sad pizzas, and the vegan pizza is ever sadder. Place has no service — you order food at the kitchen counter, and then you order drinks at the bar. Very inconvenient. The pizzas are wood fired aka burnt at the ends. The inferno pizza was unevenly covered with pizza and red sauce. The pizza chef definitely doesn’t know what they are doing.

This is a great place for wine and Aussie beer. Service is impeccable and the light bites we had , Shell on local prawns, bang bang chicken proved delicious. Add our type of music. - country, Hootie, Fleetwood Mac etc and it’s a winner.

This is a fun and casual place to get a delicious thin crust pizza, which we thoroughly enjoyed. All pizzas here are 12 inches, so if you’re really hungry order two. Salads are massive. You order and pay for food at one counter and do the same for drinks at another counter. The food comes out quickly and is nice and hot. The restaurant is quite large but typically also very busy so be prepared for a short wait that is well worth it!

By far my favourite place to dine in Port Douglas. Tonight we had steak sandwich with chips, and chicken schnitzel with mash, veg & diane sauce. Fast, quality food. Atmosphere in here is great, we love sitting in the booths. Reasonable prices too. Right in the centre of main Macrossan street.

Great place where we felt very much welcome on a special day (Christmas Eve). The food was great, young staff were very friendly and always with a smile. We felt a little familiar atmosphere. All was perfect for us on that day. Cost aligned with local market costs. It's totally recommended.

Staff friendly, quick service on the meals. The men had the ribs which were tasty, but overkill on the BBQ sauce. Pizza and pork buns were OK. Cocktails pleasant. Good value for money, good vibe. Would recommend.

Choo Choos at the Marina is a unique and charming café located in Port Douglas, offering a delightful experience for visitors of all ages. Housed in a restored train platform, this iconic café provides sweeping views of the marina and mountains. While kids are enchanted by the whimsical atmosphere, adults can indulge in specialty frozen cocktails that capture the tropical essence of Far North Queensland. For those seeking a leisurely morning, Choo Choos at St.
Great atmosphere here at Choo Choo’s and very friendly staff that come and engage to check on the needs and satisfaction of the patrons. Really enjoyed the chicken satay salad that’s light and nice. The fish and chips come in generous portion and the chips are one of the best I had since I arrive in Cairns, well done in crisps! The pull pork tacos is also one that you must order as the pork is tender and with the right balance of meat, vegetables, salsa and guacamole.

Nice place on the marina. Ordered banana bread - would have been nice if it came heated up, was a tad bland (in my opinion). Was definitely a good serving size for $13 👌 Scrambled eggs on toast - very nice, and cooked well Pakoras - ok, for something different, a bit greasy Cappuccino & iced latte were rated high by the coffee drinkers

The food was delicious! We were seated promptly and the service was amazing. It’s beautiful sitting along the marina especially if you were planning to go on a tour after. Highly recommend.

I spent a few days in Port Douglas and had breakfast at Choo Choos. It was an amazing experience—the place is really nice, clean, and welcoming. I ordered the eggs benedict, and they were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had! The portion was generous and the hollandaise sauce was served in just the right amount (plenty, which I love). I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting Port Douglas!

Very tasteful place for breakfast, food was great and so was the service and location, will come back again when in Port Douglas
Dennis G — Google review
This is a charming coffee shop, good to visit. The staff are very friendly, nice, but not really helpful or obliging for customers. Very basic approach to food service, can not alter off the menu. For example we had to order a side of sour dough bread, as we wanted a B.L.A.T, but no turkish bread. Good reason given that cook was on their own , and couldn't change. But lost us as we had to pay an extra $8 for the extra bread. Again good spot, great coffee, but not a place for food, when 3 doors up you can choose what you want and build your breakfast. And a subtle suggestion, remember small road blocks like food options just mean customers may not return... also notice the knife and fork dump today compared to yesterday, because we "complained "

Oak and Vine Restaurant is a perfect option if you want to enjoy a relaxing dinner under the stars. The menu features local ingredients and classic burgers, but it is the pizzas that really stand out. You can enjoy them either as a starter or as part of your main course. Although it can get busy, the staff are always willing to help out and make sure that you have an enjoyable dining experience.
We are staying at Oaks for the long weekend and booked a table at Oak & Vine for Anzac Day for dinner. Mattias served us & he was fabulous. My kids were chatting to him & he interacted with them as if they were his best customers. My 8 year old son said that he was the “nicest restaurant worker that I’ve ever met” so kudos to him. The food was delicious, even the kids meals. Service was second to none and it was a lovely atmosphere with very attentive staff. 10/10 for us. Thank you ☺️

I will say this is a bit of mixed review. The buffet breakfast was good… quite a few options but the same items each day. Will say the kitchen team were attentive, friendly and kind. They often restock the food e.g hash browns, eggs, bacon ect. Had gluten free bread upon asking but was expected to toast in shared toaster… not safe for ceoliacs. Some items were labelled gluten free but same utensils were used. The gluten free pizza ordered from the bar was in my top 3 best pizzas ever eaten. Do be mindful of the Sunday surcharge as well. The dinner menu was quite a disappointment. Very limited options (5-6) with only 1 labelled gluten free. Extremely overpriced. Not many people sat at the restaurant for dinner, was not impressed therefore ate dinner elsewhere.

We had a fantastic family dinner. The food is delicious, we had entrees and mains including: cob bread with spiced butter (order this!) and pizza, beef cheeks, gnocchi and the fried cauliflower mains. So delicious, and good sized meals. If you have some entrees shared, you'll be full after mains. Cocktails were good and the bar staff were happy to accommodate modifications to the drink for me. Atmosphere was awesome. Open air dining looking out over the resort. And they had a live artist on guitar, creating a relaxed vibes. He was awesome and the songs were familiar and chill. Thanks for a great night ! Definately recommend to locals and tourists alike. Even if you're not staying at the Oaks, go for dinner!

Waited 20mins to get served. Worth the wait because strawberry Dakari was Amazing= 2 cocktails each. Footy was on so ordered take away- BUT had to wait 50mins for a Pizza for them to realise it had not been passed on to kitchen. When we had to buy 2minute noodles from kiosk, explained this to front desk. They just laughed it off. Whole experience was testing.

I will start with the booking I made for Saturday 5th for 7.30pm for x2. We arrived roughly 7.40pmish, we waited at the service entrance for 10 mins to be seen, we asked then to be seated outside if possible, then were shown where to be seated as the service lady ran off talking towards the bar. We sat down and there was food all over the table and the seats were wet in some places. We waited till to see if we needed to order at the table or go the bar. We pulled up another staff lady and she took our drink and entree order as she was walking past with hand full of plates and we didn't mind ordering up the bar but just wanted to know, but we got our drinks and entree within 5 - 10 mins, which was good. Then we had another staff member come to do our full order and we only needed to order main meal. We choose couple things and there was no chicken dishes to order so we ordered pork belly and beef cheeks for main meals and this was roughly 8.05pm and the staff member was stressing the point that kitchen shuts 8.30pm but if you have booking of table 7.30pm you'd be expected to have a meal cooked within that time. It was 9.05pm and we still didn't get our meals. We had no one checking on us, or to even prompt us on the waiting time, ordering another drink etc... So we checked out to pay the drinks and entree at bar and we made it known of this and no one had acknowledged the issue and they said we don't know. During this time we had noticed the chef come into the bar area yelling at the bar staff and they didn't even advise us of why we never got our order. They were silent and kept their heads down. We weren't rude we were genuinely asking what had happened and why there was an issue. Port douglas shuts everything for kitchen roughly 9pm so we then had to go source somewhere else in town for something to eat which was only a burger place opened till 2am, not ideal when we wanted a restaurant dinner. I booked this for us as I've been to Port Douglas Oaks several times for business and personal so was expecting the same result of a 10/10, but had received nothing but a bad experience. Very upsetting and disappointing. I live roughly 1 hour away so the travel to take time to be at a beautiful resort for dinner was definitely on the highlight of the evening and I am sorry but I do believe there needs to be some changes or training, coaching or mentoring on the below; 1. Don't have bookings available 7.30pm if customers are going to be told kitchen shuts at 8.30pm 2. Clean the tables regularly and especially if having someone to sit down, look prior to seat your customers. 3. Menu advice at arrival should be known to what is available, possibly would help be aware of options - understanding that this probably wasn't communicated at arrival but perhaps when we were getting our orders taken. 4. Staff need a brush up of customer service skills to be polite and acknowledging of a situation whether it be good or bad. 5. Staff interaction infront of customers is definitely something that needs to raised, very poor team environment and doesn't help the scenario of customers watching and hearing it. I could continue to go on but thought this feedback is important and should be passed onto to management / owner. Thank you, but can sauce entree was delicious and the drinks were also great.
Angela W — Google review
The restaurant is beautiful, the menu is poor, the schnitzel deal really should also have a vegetarian or a gluten free option if it’s your main event for a Wednesday. The manager is really intense.
Mitchell E — Google review
The actual Oak & Vine Restaurant is closed You order at the bar, you either order take away back to your room or you eat at a table in the bar area. There is no sitting in the restaurant. It was very disappointing, especially after I had booked online and got an email confirmation only 3 hours prior. There was no mention at all that the Oak & Vine was closed. It has been closed for about 4 years.. My wife and I had the same disappointment back then. Pathetic, really. Also, the bar tables are very sticky due to the humidity.
Dennis K — Google review
The food here was so lackluster based on the price. Calamari was soggy and oily, both mains were okay but needed a bit more seasoning and flavour. They were pretty basic and had minimal extras or love given to them, and they weren't cheap. We ordered the potatoes as a side and they were not smashed, just whole potatoes that were a little smushed. Some of them were burnt too. We also had the cheesecake for dessert and while I enjoyed that, the added pineapple that seemed like it was from a tin was so random and added nothing. Also the staff were super friendly, so nice, but they kept engaging in conversation where we were trying to have a nice intimate dinner. I added this into the note on the booking so I was a little disappointed we weren't left to ourselves more. However I would never complain about friendly service and they basically saved the night for us.

Great food. We just had brunch. Service is amazing. So quick and very pleasant attitude. When coffee arrived after the meal we got an apology (no necessary). Lovely spot on the main strip in Port Douglas to have a bite to eat. We had the Bircher muesli and Chilli scrambled eggs which were both fresh and yummy. Verdict: 10/10.

The food is absolutely gorgeous! We had crab omelette and porridge for our breakfast. The fresh squeezed juice is perfect too and the coffees were delicious. However, being one of a great brunch place, there is quite a bit of a wait time to wait to get a table. The staff were working as fast and best to clear and get the table ready at all time. The best breakfast we had in Port Douglas!

We found that if you’re after breakfast, get here early otherwise your going to be waiting for a seat. Once you get your coffee and food, you understand what all of the fuss is about. Friendly service and homemade hollandaise sauce is always a winner in my eyes - it means the kitchen really cares for you - all the feels

We came across this place just walking down the main shopping strip on our first day and what can I say... we were there every day for breakfast after that. The food is fantastic (the breakfast pulled pork tacos and mushroom plate are AMAZING) and the coffee is even better, but the highlight for us was the warm friendly staff that not only welcomed us but also Elvis, our 90kgs St Bernard providing him with lots of room and plenty of fresh water (and pats). We loved the vibe, the decor, the staff and everyone we met there, we are looking forward to coming back in September.

We do not make a reservation before but you better did because always busy hours. We ordered quick lunches actually for the long day we have been thru. So welcome with the interior in a beautiful sunshine corner.

What an amazing find! We googled "bakery" but somehow ended up here. Weren't we lucky. Amazing service by the French gentleman, very attentive and friendly. Absolutely delicious food! Potato Rossti and the pancakes were amazing! Best food of our Cairns/Port Douglas trip. Lovely views of a golf course and a little body of water underneath. Would recommend this to anyone in the area.

Right, so, if you're after a decent caffeine fix and a bit of greenery, this place ticks all the boxes. Great coffee, the kind that kicks you into gear without tasting like burnt rubber. They've got some thirst quenchers too, perfect for a hot arvo. The food? Solid. Nothing fancy, but tasty and filling. Perfect for a casual bite while you soak up the view. And that view? Overlooking the golf course, which is surprisingly relaxing, even if you don't know your birdies from your bogies. It's a laid-back spot, ideal for a lazy morning or afternoon. Good coffee, good vibes, and a decent view

St. Crispins cafe is a great little spot for breakfast, lunch or brunch! The cafe offers an impressive view of the nearby mountains beyond the golf course, which makes for the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal. We were given menus and a rundown of the day’s specials as soon as we sat down, and we were able to order at the bar whenever we pleased. Overall, I would recommend the buttermilk pancakes, smashed avo on toast, poached eggs on toast and the crepe with smoked salmon.

One of the best breakfasts we've had anywhere. Coffee was excellent. Very very tasty. The view was great over the water and over to the nearby golf course. Hearing some noise, we noticed other diners pointing out the crocodile in the water, who was watching the golf course ( for golf balls or actual golfers?) I would highly recommend this venue.

We only stopped in here for a morning coffee and cake but what I can you is that this place is VERY EXPENSIVE. I paid $7 for a small pot of tea where anywhere else is charging maybe $5.50. Also ordered a kids milkshake which came in a plastic ikea cup and was also $7. They also charge hefty surcharges (15% on weekends and 20% on public holidays). But seeing as though it’s the only cafe around they can do what they like.

Four Mile Beach is a picturesque stretch of coastline in Port Douglas, known for its connection to the development of the Mirage resort by Christopher Skase in the 1980s. The beach offers a serene setting for families and friends, with easy access to modern amenities and attractions like the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks or bike rides along the expansive shoreline, finding private spots to relax or embarking on scenic hikes up Flagstaff Hill for stunning panoramic views.
Lovely beach to spend the afternoon. The beach it self is really long, as you can tell from the name, however there is only 1 netted swimming area with life guard. Parking is just across the road, which is slight inconvenient as the you do have to cross the burning asphalt to get to the beach. A few bars near by for a drink and a bite.

I used to come up here every second week when I lived at Trinity Beach. Despite having a beach on my door step, this place was magical and worth the drive. I’d often walk along the beach with my eyes closed for several minutes at a time, navigating my the feel of the water on my feet. A great spot.

Four Mile Beach has it all! As a popular advertising jingle about a luxury resort down the road once claimed, this place is "too good to be true"! :-) Soak up the sun, enjoy a book or just watch people making the most of this tranquil and very special location. Part of the beach is patrolled so you are in safe hands if you swim between the flags. You could easily spend quite a few hours here. There is a nearby lookout to take in the spectacular scenery from a higher vantage point. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Port Douglas! Here are some photos from our most recent visit.

One of the nicest beaches of the region were you’re allowed to swim! Water is warm even during “winter” and even though it can get crowded between the flags you have life savers and shades! You can also find nice naturally shaded spots if you walk a bit further.. you have 4miles! 🤩

Lovely warm summer waters with a view of the majestic mountains. We visited in January. There is a water/swim area that is roped off to keep out the “stingers” as they’re known here in Australia. Back home we call them jellyfish but they may be related in some way. Also, there are lifeguards which is great for children and all of us. Beach chairs/umbrellas to rent. A lovely place.

Last night in Australia dinner and we definitely picked the right place. Excellent fresh fish dishes, generous portions, great service nice surroundings. We'd tried to eat here before but couldn't get in, this time we booked.
Richard L — Google review
Food is ok (nothing special) but service is miserable. All our orders (4 dishes for 2 persons) were brought at the same time, so that no room was left on the table and we had to eat some of the warm dishes already cold. Waitress "trying to figure out" where spoons are. Empty plates were left on our table, despite several waiters passed by and looked at them. Amateurs.
Juan O — Google review
Seriously good seafood. Staff friendly and attentive, making good recommendations (and good general conversation!) I had the chill calamari which was wonderfully soft and very, but the real star of the show was the mud crab. This does NOT come cheap but honestly, it's worth every cent. There is no dignified way to eat crab like this, but forget keeping up appearances and enjoy it - you can afford it!! A visceral experience, messy but intensely satisfying. A genuinely great dining experience. Would thoroughly recommend.

This place is pretty popular. We had the seafood platter for two and it was plenty for two. We had the crab with the Singapore chili sauce and the sauce is more tomatoey than chili spice. Service was great. If you want to just taste seafood, it's pretty good.

On a daily basis at 5pm there is a session where the staff try and lure George the giant Groper towards the restaurant. It's quite a show, but sometimes George doesn't cooperate so don't be surprised if he doesn't show up! Rather than carry on singing the praises of this place I will waste no time in suggesting that OTI is THE best restaurant in Port Douglas and suggesting that you pay it a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Conference center
Nestled in the heart of Port Douglas on Mowbray Street, The Clink Theatre is a charming venue that has been a cornerstone of local culture for over twenty-five years. Operated by the Douglas Theater Arts Group, this intimate space accommodates up to 120 guests and features an inviting in-house bar perfect for enjoying drinks before or during intermissions. The Clink Theatre showcases a diverse array of performances, from amateur productions to professional acts, drawing talent from both Australia and beyond.
What a wee little theatre. It has a bar there, toilets and the cinema. We went to see the Addam's family musical. It was so good, the actors did a really good job, would love to see another production there.

Great show and performance of Mamma Mia, we will look out for future productions.

We saw Mamma Mia and the production, acting, dancing, singing, stage sets, the whole theatre ambience was absolutely perfect! A great afternoon out. Well done to all involved 👏 🌟✨️

Nice vintage theatre. You won't find the most comfortable seats here but if you like cinema you will appreciate the classic setting.

Loved this place, took me back to the old days

Was excited to discover the historic and quaint Clink Theatre. Enjoyed a sensational classical treat by the famed Alteouise de Vaughan and the Trio Paradiso, along with some great house wines! Made our holiday far more memorable.

Awesome theatre, saw Sailors of the South Pacific and The Addams Family. Wonderful actors/resses, scripts, dancing, singing, props and scenery. Looking forward to going again ❤️

A fabulous venue for live entertainment. Very intimate. I was there to see the local production of 'Pricilla Queen of the Desert'. It was sensational. The acting, the sets, the script. Brilliant. And the best little bar in town.

26Daintree Bar and Lounge

The Daintree Bar & Lounge offers a unique experience that delves into the history of sugar cane farming in Tropical North Queensland. Visitors can participate in masterclasses to learn about rum distilling from local sugar cane. The venue's ambiance pays homage to Australia's prohibition era, providing an undercover speakeasy vibe for guests to enjoy live music and a selection of cocktails.
Sublime. Atmospheric. Seductive. Date night in Port Douglas? Take a ride out to the Sheraton and sip cocktails in the Daintree Bar. From 5 til 6pm you'll get an Aperol Spritz, Espresso Martini among others from $12. Professional and attentive international wait staff and lovely seating options for couples. Enjoy a slice of expensive accommodation even without a room here.

My wife and I participated in the tequila cocktail masterclass with Franco and Nicole and it was exceptional! They both were very informative and excellent instructors. We had so much fun and got to make some amazing cocktails. This bar is very nice even outside of the class--definitely worth a visit!

Absolute class prohibition bar with top notch service by patrico and Jada. Coming every day from now on. Their liquor selection is unique

Average bar and average hotel bar. Basic drinks are fine, but anything special is not an option. Even asking for a spirit "neat" is confusing to some. The staff attempt to be helpful and and generally friendly, but seem to pick which customers they want to help. The menu online and in the bar is completely misleading - there are numerous items that are unavailable. You only find this out when you ask more than one staff member for a certain drink, and get blank looks until someone that knows walks over and sets you straight. Don't rely on the online and in store menus.

Franco is king! Super nice taught me about bar tending. 10/10 recommend the bar tending class.

What happened to the atmosphere at the Daintree bar. Staff are exceptional as ever but the music is a New York bar feel. Bring back the classics from last year please!!!
Amanda B — Google review
OMG guys what is going on !! Daintree bar, excellent continues service especially from the older Gentleman with the colorful shirt. But please upper management or who ever believes they control the music change it !!!
Glenn T — Google review
Good location and nice looking bar. Horribly let down with appalling service. So slow and just plain incompetent organisation. Waiting more than 10-30 minutes to get a drink AFTER ordering is woeful for a bar at a five star resort.
