Nature & Parks
Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure, located along the Moskva River, is a popular destination in Moscow. This expansive park features 18th-century gardens, an open-air theater, and various dining options. Visitors can explore cultural institutions such as the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art and enjoy pop-up exhibitions and festivals. The park offers leisure activities for all seasons, attracting both locals and tourists who come to relax, participate in sports, and attend cultural events.
Vast, amusing and refreshing city park along the Moscova with plenty of attractions for everybody, from sport courts to long leisure walks to gardens with odd statues and anything in-between. Widely popular with local and rather crowded over weekends with festivals and gatherings of any kind.

“Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure is a vast and beautiful park, perfect for walking and enjoying the outdoors. If you’re visiting the area, this park is a must-see, offering a perfect blend of culture, leisure, and natural beauty.”

One of my favorites in Moscow. First the entrance is so grand and you feel you might be entering a palace. The park is so huge that’s it’s hard to cover all of it. There are walking areas, cycling areas, small stores for food, a fountain and we were fortunate to see a small musical show of it (see video), playing areas and more. One can totally spend a full day here.
Tushar S — Google review
Central Park is not close to what this amazing green park has to offer - most importantly SAFE and full of nature. Amazing highly recommended to visit when in Moscow
Alex J — Google review
I recently visited this park along the Moscow River in Russia, and it proved to be a delightful experience. While the park was undergoing renovations, limiting my exploration within, the stroll along the Moscow River more than made up for it. The serene ambiance and scenic views provided a soothing escape. I can only imagine how wonderful it will be once the renovations are complete. Definitely worth a visit, especially for the picturesque river walk!

Thanks to THE Scorpions song, I already knew its existence before that thought of visiting Russia back before 2016 It is a really big park with lots of gardens, activities, food stalls, concert areas, long lines of benches by the canal, jogging tracks, various plants trees and flowers and many more in store I was walking with my friend towards the sunset in spring and summer season and loving each and every step. Out of awareness, I walked from one Metro Station to the other, and the next one!! Well I wish it has more portable toilets but I think this park is a MUST visit for everyone I really want to come back here next year! See you real soon Gorky!
Samuel H — Google review
What a nice leisurely park. It is massive in size and clean. What makes it safer is it attracts a lot of tourists and localities. You may see military events happening there on special occasions. The park is popular among localities and tourists. You can spot bars and cafes. Floral beautification is incredible. You can find playing courts, lakes and enjoy boating there. The end of the Gorky park touches banks the Moskva river. The place is ideal for capturing some stunning views of Moscow city. I took a taxi from Christ the Saviour church to Gorky Park. It is a highly recommended place to visit.

Great place to spend a day. Lots of sport activities and charming places to rest. Full of history from Imperial and Soviet Era. Radisson river cruises are the great addition to excursion. 1000 rubles (about $15) will get get 2 and half hours of amazing river trip.

Visiting Red Square was an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere is truly special — full of history, beauty, and culture. The architecture is absolutely stunning, especially the iconic Saint Basil’s Cathedral and the Kremlin walls. The square is very well maintained, and despite the number of visitors, everything felt organized and peaceful. It’s a must-see spot in Moscow, both during the day and at night when everything is beautifully lit. I really enjoyed my time there and would love to visit again. Highly recommended!

It is a very big place and the church is very beautiful. I am very impressed to have visited Russia. 👍🏻
Wanta C — Google review
It was 10 years ago. I was like any working-class repeating the same boring days as usual. Then the bloody church just kept occupying my mind. I decided to go there on Christmas in 2014. I really loved my decision. Russia is a must-visit country. The economy was bad in 2014, but that is good for tourist. I had few days meeting my Turkish lover in Santa Petersburg. I almost lost in the morning when I was looking for our rented apartment. Just a glance, he showed again in my vision again with a naughty smile that seems like laughing “Silly, I am hiding here .” I had great time. Russia is so beautiful at night, people like singing, and dancing. Beautiful women were wearing stockings in winter. Red Square, Moscow: A Timeless Icon Red Square in Moscow is one of the most iconic and historically significant landmarks in the world. It serves as the beating heart of Russia, steeped in a rich tapestry of political, cultural, and architectural history. Whether you’re a history buff, a lover of grand architecture, or just a curious traveler, Red Square offers an unforgettable experience. Architecture and Landmarks The square is surrounded by some of the most stunning structures in Russia: • St. Basil’s Cathedral: With its vibrant, candy-colored domes, the cathedral is a masterpiece of Russian architecture. Its whimsical design and historical significance make it the star attraction. • The Kremlin: Serving as the seat of Russian power, this fortified complex looms majestically over the square. The red-brick walls and intricate towers are a sight to behold. • Lenin’s Mausoleum: This somber yet fascinating structure houses the embalmed body of Vladimir Lenin, drawing visitors intrigued by its historical relevance. • GUM Department Store: Contrasting the austere Soviet history, this luxurious shopping arcade is a paradise for high-end retail therapy and culinary delights. Atmosphere The square is as awe-inspiring at dawn as it is illuminated at night. Its vastness, combined with the surrounding architectural grandeur, evokes a sense of both wonder and reflection. Whether bustling with tourists or hosting grand celebrations like Victory Day, Red Square never feels short of life. Cultural and Historical Significance Red Square is not just a place to see; it’s a place to feel. From its role in Tsarist ceremonies to Soviet parades and modern-day events, it has witnessed the evolution of Russia.

The Red Square is located in the heart of Moscow. It is one of the most important historical and cultural sites in Russia. Built in the 15th century. This square is one of the grandest in the world. I came here a few times and I am always really impressed by the grandeur and the architecture. You can see St. Basil's Cathedral with its fabulous domes, Lenin's Mausoleum, and the Kremlin, the seat of the Russian government. I love this place it is beautiful!

The Bolshoi Theatre is a lavish neoclassical repertory theater in Moscow, Russia, renowned for hosting the world-famous Bolshoi Ballet and Bolshoi Opera. While visiting Moscow, it's essential to explore iconic landmarks like the Kremlin and St. Basil's Cathedral. The area around Red Square offers significant points of interest, including the grand GUM department store and panoramic views from the Children's World department store rooftop.
I had the chance to attend a theatrical play at the Bolshoi Theatre, and it was an unforgettable experience. The venue itself is majestic, full of history and elegance. The atmosphere, the staging, the actors’ performances—everything was of exceptional quality. It was truly a privilege to witness such a moment in such an iconic theatre.
Fayçal S — Google review
I’ve just been there to watch Marco Spada ballet. Everything was fine, I could easily buy a ticket on spot a day before the show and the woman could speak English very well so it was convenient. The theater itself is very unique and beautiful, the show was very good. Staff were friendly and tried to help me which I appreciate. The only problem I had and that’s why I’m not giving it a 5 star was the uncomfortable chair. For a 3 hour show and for about 10000 RUB money I paid for the ticket, I expect to sit on a comfortable chair, the back was solid wood and it was really irritating. I hope they do something about these chairs.
Faranak G — Google review
Visited more than 200 times but I prefer new stage next to historical stage. Very easy to enjoy the ballet more! You can buy ticket one or two months in advance online woth Russian credit cards since 2022.
Miki T — Google review
They rent binoculars for the performance, but I recommend bringing your own if you can. Tickets are on the pricier side for Russia, you're partly paying for the prestige of the theater. In other cities, you can often see great ballet for much less.
Guillermo — Google review
Did not get the opportunity to watch theatre here but just saw the theatre and that itself was surreal. The theatre is simply magnificent - a truly majestic masterpiece and a must see when in Moscow.
Natalie P — Google review
Infront of these theatre has a lovely park to see and visit, sadly it was summer season when i visited and no events available to see.
Joferd P — Google review
I only gave it two starts because the play was absolutely phenomenal. Art deserved to be appreciated. However, I was cheated on the amount I have paid when I have received a ticket that states an amount of 20k rubel (which I have paid 29k rubel). When I have asked for a partial refund since this is not the deserved amount, they simply decided to blame the service fee (almost 155%). Beats me, can’t do anything since I’m only a tourist right? Beware when purchasing tickets.
F - — Google review
A masterpiece of opulence and history, but also a test of patience. The Bolshoi Theatre is breathtaking—ornate interiors, world-class performances, and that undeniable grandeur of Russian ballet and opera. But be prepared: the ticketing process can be a maze, staff aren’t exactly overflowing with warmth, and if you’re in the cheaper seats, expect some “creative” sightlines. Still, once the curtain rises, all is forgiven. An absolute must-visit, even if just to say you’ve been.

St. Basil's Cathedral, also known as Pokrovsky Cathedral or The Cathedral of Intercession of the Virgin by the Moat, is a 16th-century former cathedral located in Red Square, Moscow. It now houses a museum of the church and is recognized for its multicolored domes that create a unique and vibrant appearance.
Visited St Basils Cathedral in March. It was our first visit to Russia, very much loved the country and the citizens. They were warm and helpful. Our first day was to Saint Basils Cathedral. Felt surreal by the very first look. The climate was good hence we were able to take a walk around as well. This place is a must visit

Located at Red Square Moscow, St. Basils Cathedral is a not to be missed place in Moscow. I would say that this place has an iconic value in Moscow. The beautiful architecture and colorful combination of the exterior of the building has no match.
Zafar K — Google review
How can one skip visiting one of Moscow’s most iconic landmarks? Before learning its true name, I used to think of it as the “Tetris building.” The kaleidoscopic exterior, crowned with its whimsical onion domes of irregular shapes, is truly mesmerizing. Inside, the chambers are adorned with centuries-old church icons. An absolute must-visit.

St. Basil's Cathedral, located in Red Square, Moscow, Russia, built in 1555 to 1561 is an architectural marvel that embodies the country's rich history and cultural heritage. This iconic cathedral, built in the 16th century, boasts a stunning array of colorful onion domes, intricate stone carvings, and vibrant frescoes. As you step inside, you'll be struck by the ornate interiors, which feature beautiful icons, murals, and ornate detailing. The cathedral's unique design, a blend of Russian and Byzantine styles, is a testament to the country's diverse cultural influences. Visitors can explore the various chapels, admire the stunning architecture, and learn about the cathedral's fascinating history. Whether you're a photographer, historian, or simply a curious traveler, this iconic landmark is sure to leave a lasting impression. The cathedral's beauty and significance make it an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend visiting this Moscow treasure.

Located at the Red Square. St. Basil's Cathedral was built in 1555-1561 by the order of tsar Ivan the Terrible in honor of the victory of the Russian army over the Kazan Khanate. Its 16th-20th centuries interiors kept preserved. The vaults and walls of the cathedral was are richly decorated with murals, precious gifts of the royal family members are kept in the former sacristy. Wall paintings and church icons tells about the wonderful miracles of the Saint.

This place is iconic. You can't come to Moscow without seeing it. It's located right next to the red Square and during different times of the day, it takes on a different look with the sky behind it
Natalie D — Google review
One of nice things to see, dont miss it if you are there and not coming back to Mosco. Entrance is 2000 rubles, bit expensive for a foreigner compared to locals. Worth to see. If you have any an elderly person, be careful as there is a very narrow and high steeped stair to go to second floor.
Bo B — Google review
Almost unreal place, recalling a cartoon with its wild and brilliant colora and its bulbous and round shapes. Crazily decorated outside and even more on the inside, it strangely balance its festival of colors and ostentatious richness, offering an enjoyable (and unforgettable) overall experience. Mesmerizing !!!

The State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. Established in 1856 by Pavel Tretyakov, it started as a private collection and has now grown to over 180,000 pieces of Russian art. The gallery showcases the evolution of Russian art from medieval religious icons to contemporary works. It houses iconic pieces by renowned Russian artists such as Ivan Aivazovsky, Ilya Repin, and Viktor Vasnetsov.
Rainy day is a perfect day for art. This gallery is a place for inspiration for all art lovers. It’s vast and better plan spending 4-5 hours there. I took audio guide and was lost in time. Love it.
Nevena R — Google review
The Tretyakov Gallery is a true cultural treasure — a place where you can walk through centuries of Russian art under one roof. From iconic works by Repin and Vasnetsov to ancient icons and bold modernism, it’s a journey through the soul of the country. Well-organized, with calm halls and powerful energy. ➕ Unmatched collection of Russian art Beautiful building and well-curated exhibitions Easy to navigate and not overly crowded on weekdays Audio guides and descriptions in English available
Kristina T — Google review
Kramskoy, Vasnetsov, Serov, Repin, Savitsky—to name only a few—are represented in the Tretyakov Gallery, which offers an overwhelming feast for the eyes of art lovers. The museum displays countless masterpieces I had only read about: The Unknown Woman (often called the Russian Mona Lisa), Morning in a Pine Forest (Alenka chocolate wrappers), Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan, and a striking portrait of Pushkin, among others. After just 40 minutes, my mind was flooded with a surge of impressions and information. With 62 rooms to explore, this is clearly not a one-day museum. The entrance fee of 700 rubles is a bargain.
Kye — Google review
Very disappointing experience at the Tretyakov Gallery I visited the Tretyakov Gallery on September 25 and had a very disappointing experience. The website, the online tickets, and even the entrance signs all clearly stated that the museum would close at 9 PM. However, at 7:30 PM everyone was suddenly told to leave because of a private event — something that had never been announced anywhere. No one, not even the security staff, seemed to know about this early closure. The situation was handled poorly, and some staff were rude and unhelpful. It was also surprising that no one at the information desk spoke English in such a major international museum. Because of this, I had to completely change my travel plans and return the next day, buying new tickets and audioguides. Unfortunately, one of the main reasons for my visit — the famous Girl with Peaches — was not on display that day. Although I later received a refund for the first day’s tickets, the gallery’s response ignored the other issues I raised and fell far below my expectations.
Marco A — Google review
Art museums can sometimes feel overwhelming, filled with endless hallways and masterpieces you're not sure how to appreciate. But the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow was different. Stepping inside felt like stepping into a warm embrace of Russian art history. Maybe it was the way the chronological layout unfolded Russia's artistic journey, or perhaps the sheer passion for Russian culture that resonated from every canvas. One of the things that surprised me most was the sheer diversity of styles on display. From the deeply religious icon paintings of the early days to the bold strokes of the avant-garde, the Tretyakov Gallery showcased the evolution of Russian art in a way I hadn't seen before. But it wasn't just about the artistic movements. Certain paintings jumped out at me, leaving a lasting impression. The Appearance of Christ by Alexander Ivanov was the one of the iconic piece of the museum. The Tretyakov Gallery wasn't just a museum; it felt like a conversation with the soul of Russia. It allowed me to understand the country's history, culture, and emotions through the eyes of its greatest artists.

A very big gallery with great artwork (if you're a fan of it). You need at least a couple of hours to see all of it. The ticket is 500 rubbles for adults. But I'd recommend the Shimov gallery. Much more impressive.
Vasilis K — Google review
The State Tretyakov Gallery is a remarkable art museum that boasts an impressive collection of over 180,000 Russian works spanning multiple centuries. My first visit to this iconic institution was nothing short of inspiring. As a philatelist, I was already familiar with many of the paintings displayed here, having collected numerous stamps featuring artworks from the gallery. This connection made my experience even more special, as I was able to see these masterpieces in person for the first time. The gallery's layout is thoughtfully designed, allowing visitors to journey through the evolution of Russian art. From the early icons to the bold works of the 20th century, each piece tells a story and reflects the rich cultural heritage of Russia. I found myself captivated by the detailed brushwork and the emotions captured in each painting. The names of the artists, such as Ilya Repin and Ivan Shishkin, were not just words to me; they represented a deep-seated appreciation cultivated during my studies in art history at a young age. Moreover, the atmosphere of the gallery is steeped in history, which adds to its charm. Walking through the halls, I felt a profound connection to the past, as if the spirits of the artists lingered in the air. This gallery is not merely a collection of paintings; it is a testament to the creativity and resilience of the Russian people. In conclusion, my visit to The State Tretyakov Gallery was a deeply enriching experience that inspired me both as an art enthusiast and a collector. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to understand the essence of Russian art and culture.

The Museum of Cosmonautics, situated on Mira prospect, 111, is a captivating space museum housed within a titanium monument commemorating the launch of Sputnik 1 and the dawn of the space age. Easily accessible from the VDNKh metro station, this museum offers an immersive experience into the world of space exploration.
This museum is very big and attractive specially for me that most of the time track the space station and astronomical events, beside that, this museum is not ancient and historical, it's high tech and modern comparing to other museum in the city. I watched very interesting objects, vehicles and instruments that before that I watched them in just photos and videos, some places in the museum takes human to the space and you think about living there as a scientist.

Very interesting museum on the history of Russian space exploration from Yuri Gagarin to the present (our visit was in 2018). Fascinating structure with a future-oriented needle piercing the sky, very comprehensive material display and cringeworthy propagandistic poster of the Soviet era to provide a “flavor” of the space race political and historical framework.
Tony B — Google review
A fascinating and well-curated museum with many original artefacts from the history of space exploration. There’s so much to see and learn — from early spacecraft to personal items of cosmonauts. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in science, technology, or history. I do wish there were more English descriptions for international visitors and a better selection of souvenirs, as the current shop feels limited compared to the richness of the exhibits.
Karn A — Google review
Learning and seeing the items on display was enough, but actual items belonging to Yuri Gagarian was another level. The museum privide extensive display of Russia space program. I leaned a lot from each of cosmonaughts' sacrifice throughout history. It's not a DC's air and space e museum but a charming space to visit to understand the struggle and heroes of making the program work.

The monument is great and accessiblevia the stairs by the side of the museum for free. There are statues of cosmonauts a bit furtherat the park.

Beautiful and modern museum. If you have any interest in anything space related, this place has it all. Most things have English explanations as well but some are Russian only

Kolomenskoye is a former royal estate turned open-air museum, showcasing architecture from various historical periods. Located just outside Moscow's city center, this captivating site offers a glimpse into Russia's past, with well-preserved buildings and extensive gardens overlooking the Moskva River. Visitors can explore ancient churches, the former village of Kolomenskoye, and the impressive Palace of Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich.
A very creative and beautiful palace from the old tsar days before the palaces. I love how creative the ceiling and the walls are 💕. It’s not a huge palace can we finished in 35 mins with listing to the translation that can be rented up front for explanation . Entrance fee 500 rubles and we rented I think for 250 . We had soup after we finished the tour the gardens are beautiful for a walk

Very nice park with the World Heritage UNESCO quite near the city center and famous for honey market!

A breathtaking place with amazing views. The Czar's palace is pretty good but there's a lot more to see. There's a small ski slope which can be used during the winter. A walk deeper into the park will let one see the Moskva river in all its icy beauty. No better place to go for a run or just relax during the summers. Massive area which can be a huge stress buster for people living in the city.

Fantastic park to visit whenever you are in Moscow! Great scenic paths and historic buildings and museums. There is an apple orchard. Classic Russian shops decorate the main roads selling classic summer goodies. (In the warmer months obviously) Walk along the beautiful Moscow river. There are many picture worthy spots here. The flowers are bright and colorful in Spring. Definitely plan to come here for at least a couple of hours. There are bathrooms here and pleanty of food options for lunch dinner and snacks.

Fantastic! Exactly this flourishing time all those threes and bushes and flowers and scapes and old construction cultural relics as churches and others of almost around 5 centuries old, plus sunset in mid-may at +24 on a flourishing hill.. was absolutely wonderful walk and amazing experience! No photo from my phone cam may reexpress but still a couple can't stand sharing

Located in a classical building, The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow is a treasure trove of art and history. Established in 1912 and later named after renowned poet Alexander Pushkin, the museum boasts an extensive collection spanning from ancient to modern times. Visitors can explore artifacts from Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome as well as European paintings ranging from the 7th to 18th century.
Great collection in one place, well technically two buildings next door to each other. Great sculpture collection...and they all clearly say they're plaster casts, so the museum isn't trying to trick anyone. Make sure you get a ticket for both buildings, the European artist collection in the gallery next to the main building is one if the best I've seen. Oh and dont forget to get a ticket for any travelling exhibits, there was a Picasso one when u visited, I couldn't believe my luck. Also dont miss out on the Cathedral of Christ the saviour, directly across the road.
Emily N — Google review
To visit the museum you have to buy tickets in advance on the museum's website. There are available time slots with steps of 15 min between them. The main building contents a large collection of copies of the famous sculptures by their epochs. There in museum it is allowed to make the pictures and to sketch with a charcoal on a paper sized no more than A4. If you choose not crowded day, it is a calm place to explore and sketch the items.
Yuri N — Google review
Painting exposition in the main building is quite boring. There are no any special art examples. Nice Egypt and Mesopotamia halls. Beautiful sculpture hall. Sometimes there can be good temporary exhibitions, like Bill Viola in the first half of 2021.

It was a nice to go here even though I got rejected with my EU Vaccination certificate at the first time. They don’t accept European vaccines. Please bring a PCR test with you to enjoy this museum. It’s a great place to go to when visiting Moscow during pandemic.

This museum is rich in art and the architecture of the building. It's not gigantic, but you will get to travel through ancient greece and 15th - 16th century art. Many of which are reproductions (statues) molden on the originals. If you forget about the facy they are reproductions and you spend some time looking at the art and the yeats when they were actually made, you will be pleasantly surprised to find out that the srill date multiple centuries ago and deserve just as much respect. Got the chance to view original study drawings that inspired bigger pieces and it's very inspiring. Seeing the process and the approach of these masters of art when they were in search of perfection is truly worth your time. I enjoyed analyzing these different drawings, the strokes and the details which came to eventually create some of the world renowed pieces we came to all know.
Dragos C — Google review
The museum is quite compact and takes 2-3 hours to see. But not be tricked by its modest size, the collection is really gorgeous, especially Schukin exhibition. I was so amazed how the man managed to collect so many masterpieces in his lifetime In my opinion the place is must to visit in Moscow
Andrei S — Google review
The London School Exhibit was amazing. I have no words to describe the level of excitement of seeing the work of Lucius Freud and Francis Bacon. The museum in general has a interesting selection of works from bizantine art, Italian and Germanic Renaissance. It also has a display of egipcian and Greek artifacts. What is special about this museum is that some of the rooms have thematic decors related to the exhibit.
Valentina A — Google review
Nice art collection though not for art connoisseurs. Time has to be invested for a good visit of this museum, since it holds a lot of art pieces that deserve such time. Sculptures, ceramics, and paintings make up the main part of the exhibition. A great fine arts museum, since Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece and Rome art to Botticelli’s paintings. Some masterpieces: Rembrandt, Veronese, Botticelli, Rubens, Degas, Matisse, Miró, and many others are found here. Imagine seeing Impressionists one-on-one: almost private setting without selfie-making tourist crowds. In modern times you have to go to Moscow to experience that. Beautiful collection, well laid out, well explained (great curator work). Russian Impressionists were a revelation. Very enjoyable visit.

Park
Located in Moscow, the Moscow Zoo is a conservation and educational institute that houses over 8,000 animals from around the world. Initially established as a small park with only 286 mammal species in the mid-19th century, it has since grown into one of Europe's most visited zoos and Russia's top zoo destination. The diverse collection includes gorillas, polar bears, elephants, white whales, pandas, Siberian tigers, and giraffes among others.
Amazing well-planned out zoo. A great variety of animals, there were playgrounds for the children, and numerous food stalls. There’s a map of the zoo at the entrance displaying the Old and New Territories of the zoo. If you want to see everything, plan 2.5-3hrs without rushing.

My favorite lovely zoo in Moscow. I like the branding of it and of course it has a lot of things to see. I really like the pandas there and I make sure to buy a souvenir panda everytime I'm there. I recommend you to buy tickets online if possible!
IoannisV — Google review
A wonderful zoo. It is simply huge. Plan what you want to see right away, because it is not possible to see everything in one day. I strongly recommend coming as early as possible, because closer to the middle of the day a huge crowd of visitors appears in the park and it becomes really difficult. In general, the park is simply wonderful, large. There are many animals, they are well-groomed and cool. The enclosures are spacious and comfortable for animals. One of the best places to visit in Moscow.

We recently visited the Moscow Zoo, and while it was a pleasant experience, it felt quite basic, similar to the Old Zoo Park in Dubai. Here are a few things to keep in mind: - Timing Matters: It's better to visit on a weekday. We went on a weekend, and it was extremely busy and crowded. We had to wait in line for tickets and at the entrance for 45 minutes. The crowd inside made it difficult for the kids to see many animals. - Language Barrier: The staff do not speak English, so it's helpful to have a translation app ready. - Ticket Requirements: Every person, including children under two, must have a ticket. We had to go back and get two more tickets because the staff didn't understand us, even with the help of Google Translate. Make sure everyone, including babies, has a ticket. - Play ground: at the end of the zoo, they have a kids play area which is less busy and the kids enjoyed playing there. Personally, I wouldn't visit this zoo again, but if you have kids, it's worth going at least once for them to enjoy the weather. Just avoid weekends if possible.
Na3meh - — Google review
My visit was on the weekdays at I had to wait for 30 minutes just to get the tickets and another 20 minutes to enter the zoo. It was crowded, and for a tourist like me, there were no English signs, only Russian signs. They will not consider 3 years old child or below for a ticket. So we bought 3 tickets which cost around 2700 ruble. Not expensive. I wish if it was a little bit organised.

Moscow Zoo, largest zoo in Russia, exhibiting an outstanding collection of northern animals and many exotic species. Founded by a public society in 1864, the zoo later was privately owned. Since 2015, the museum has been open to the public and everyone. In the central and side halls there is an exposition devoted to the history of the Moscow Zoo and a natural science permanent exposition. The collection of the museum includes more than 10,000 zoo coat of arms from all over the world, hundreds of paintings, sculptures and drawings by the masters of Russian animalistics, such as Vasily Vatagin, Alexei Komarov, Vadim Trofimov, Andrei Marts and Alexei Tsvetkov.

Located in North Moscow, between the city center and Sheremetyevo Airport, Ostankino Television Tower is a rocket-like structure with 45 levels. It was built in 1967 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Soviet Revolution and stands at an impressive height of 540 meters. This makes it Europe's tallest free-standing structure. The tower serves as Moscow's primary communications hub, housing equipment for emergency services, television and radio broadcasts, law enforcement agencies, and news services.
It was amazing experience. To be honest after several attempts i reached there . Due to fog and unstable weather conditions it is not easy to get good view. The view is perfect. I liked and it is enough high. There are restaurants. Gold one was closed. Silver restaurant was not bad . Service was good I didn’t like food. But it worth to go there at least to drink 🍵 there is screen at the entrance before you enter tower you may check what is view then you can book. If you find available ticket of course Ticket to tower is 1200ruble

I had been to many tv towers around the world and this had to the most difficult tower to get in. With high security checks just like in a airport. You couldn’t bring bottle water in and you need a passport to go through. The view up there is beautiful. And once you reached the top level. There is another level to go up and also there is revolving restaurant below. Very unfortunate that the gold lounge is not open. Only managed to sit at the silver lounge to enjoy the view and food

Hello my dear friends, recently I just visited Russia, and I took over to this tourist attraction. I just want to say, it was one of the best experienced I've had. I don't normally give 4 stars, but this 100% deserve it. I were up in the tower, and the view was just spectacular. It was a one in a lifetime experience, and I would do it again next time I visit Russia. But let's talk about why it doesn't deserve "The Last Star". The main reason were, because it was hard to get into. There were many people in line, and I understand that since everyone wanted to see the spectular view, but it just destroy the little moment, that you need to waste a whole day. Here is my guide to tell you how to spend the day best, when visiting the Television Tower. Firstly, get yourself some food. You don't want to spend in a line, with a hungry stomach. And secondly, remember to take a friend with you. That is the worst thing to ever do! I don't think I would have done it, without someone to talk with or just someone to enjoy the view with. It makes it 100, even 1000x better. But to clear it up. Have some food & have some good company that you can waste time with. - And this is my suggestions to how to make it a greater place for tourists like me. Build some more fastfood stands, like I mentioned before. FOOD is the key. This was my experience, and my guides to how to make the day a five star day. - Einar. Love from Denmark.

A tour to the top is worth taking. It costs about 1200 ₽ but there is also a student discount. There is an interesting interactive gallery inside. A lift to the top is every few minutes. Time you spend on the top is not limited. There is also a cafe and a restaurant on the viewpoint. Viewpoint itself has two levels - one internal and one external on the fresh air. There is a glass floor with breathtaking perspective. The view is magnificent. Don’t forget your passport otherwise you won’t be allowed to enter
Jakub — Google review
Nice place to spend some time in peace and to have a view of the Moscow city. They have a cafe where you can have some snacks and beer. Smoking is not allowed once you enter the building. They also have a restaurant where prior booking is required. Entry ticket was 1100 Rubel in July 18
Sumant S — Google review
It's one of those places you have to visit. The view from the top is wonderful, especially at sunset. There is also a part of glass floor for a minimum of thrill. It's very scratchy so it doesn't give you the feeling of beig over almost 400mt of void. Going in is difficult, prepare your passport and prepare to be checked multiple times. The ticket is somewhat expensive, but all in all I feel like suggesting the visit
Marco A — Google review
Worth visiting when in Moscow. The tallest building in Europe. You can actually see all Moscow from a height of 340 m. It also has some glass pieces of floor, where you can step on (if you dare!) and take some nice photos! The ticket is quite expensive, but I think it's worth giving the money to enjoy it once. There are some really strict security measures, so don't forget to have your passports with you.
Vasilis K — Google review
This is an interesting place to visit. Lots of panoramic views to behold. I suggest going while the sunset is happening. Just remember this place is in a different part of the world so the sun might set earlier than you think. Security is superior to any other place so bring very few items and it will help make your life easier. Had the chance to see a lightning bolt strike in a few different places during a storm. Moscow is kind of plain to look at from high above at night. The price is not the best but if you have time in your trip, watch a sunset from here and take some photos.

The Moscow Kremlin, also known as The Kremlin, is a massive fortified complex located in the heart of Moscow. Originally built as the tsar's residence, it now serves as the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation. This historic site houses ancient churches used for royal ceremonies and various museums showcasing Russian state regalia and art. Visiting requires careful planning due to ticket logistics and entry requirements, but exploring over five centuries of history within its walls makes it all worthwhile.
A must visit place in Moscow having rich history and architectural value. It was great from outside as well but we took an inside tour as well. Inside there very many beautiful churches even dating back to 13th century. The churches have beautiful hand painted art on its walls and roof.
Zafar K — Google review
Beautiful place with a rich history, energized atmosphere, and incredible architecture. Highly recommend the tour of the inside of the Kremlin, where you can visit cathedrals dating back to the 13th century. Great place to be anytime during the day, but especially at night! (I would also advise making a stop at the eternal flame, which honors the loss of soldiers' lives in WWII).

Novodevichy Convent is a 1520s monastery located by the riverside in Moscow. It is famous for its fresco-lined 5-domed cathedral and ornate soaring bell tower. The convent offers free admission regardless of the day of the week, making it a must-visit attraction in Moscow.
A metric ton (if not more) of highly educational artifacts in the recently open exhibit "The Great Russian Northern Route". Just one example: a fascinating mock up of the historic Alexander Oshevensky Monastery wooden complex; the winter church's dome/cupola appears as tall as the bell tower. One would normally expect the winter church to be much smaller.

Novodevichy Convent, also known as Bogoroditse-Smolensky Monastery , is probably the best-known cloister of Moscow. Its name, sometimes translated as the New Maidens' Monastery, was devised to differ from the Old Maidens' Monastery within the Moscow Kremlin. Unlike other Moscow cloisters, it has remained virtually intact since the 17th century. In 2004, it was proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I think it’s one of the most important place that you have to visit it in Moscow after the red square . Do not miss to walk around and enjoy the park behind .

Novodevichy (New Maiden's) Convent. It was founded in 1524 by Grand Duke of Moscow Vasily III (1479-1533) in typically Italian style. Convent was built according to vow of Grand Duke Vasily III he gave in 1514 when he succeeded to liberate Smolensk. Convent was closed by communists in 1922. Museum instead of the convent was organized. First nuns returned to the convent in 1994. Convent was proclaimed monument of the world heritage by UNESCO in 2004. Convent was returned to Russian Orthodox Church in 2010.I

Sokolniki Park, named after the royal falconry that once took place in its dense forest, was established by Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. Over the years, it has been transformed with updated lawns, landscaped ponds, picnic areas, a summer cinema and theater, a rose garden, sports grounds, and bicycle paths. The park features 8 alleys forming 9 sectors with trees of the same breed in each sector.
The place is magically beautiful and huge, if you are looking for a long walk and want to clear your mind, you must visit it, unfortunately i didn't discover it until the very last days of my trip. If you want a quiet place, avoid going on the weekend. it has different activities like play area, roses park...

I have a deja-vu feeling that I was already prompted to share my opinion of Sokolniki park. Oh well, I can write like like Tolstoy, quantity wise at least ) The park is very old, I looked up old maps and general shape and main roads, cutting through it, were formed around the time of Peter the Great. Recently it was modernised with hip summer benches and nice walkways. Rosarium is a great garden within a garden. Chekhov used to party and drink here with his friends. Visitors can explore exhibits dating back to ancient times and the middle ages while immersing themselves in the cultural heritage of Russia.
Not to be missed by visitors to Moscow Kremlin! Originally established as a royal workshop and armory, it has evolved into a museum of immense historical and artistic significance. The museum’s collection spans centuries and includes a dazzling array of items!

What an amazing collection this is. Rich and varied with things to interest all. The collection of gold and silver objects and the weapons are amazing. The horse carriage collection is astounding. Aim to spend about 3-4 hours here and use the supplied audio guide. Enough seating to relax. The collection may seem to be in a compact place as they have a lot to show...they could use a space 5 times bigger to display in a better way but would be less secure and more tiresome too . Very much recommend. Book online if possible and get there for the allocated time, no time limit to leave once inside . Keep a snack and water with you.

Considering the ticket fare, I found the exhibition to be a bit small. Nice collection of treasuries though. Free audio guide is a plus. Negative point is that you are not allowed to take pictures inside. The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour stands as a stunning testament to Russian architecture and spirituality, with its gleaming domes and intricately frescoed interiors. Rebuilt in the 1990s after its original construction was completed in the 19th century, this magnificent structure serves not only as a place of worship but also as a historic landmark commemorating Russia's victory over Napoleon in 1812.
The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is a magnificent testament to Russia's history and faith. Its golden domes pierce the Moscow skyline, a symbol of resilience and spiritual strength. Built to commemorate Russia's victory over Napoleon, the cathedral was tragically demolished during the Soviet era. However, it was later rebuilt, standing as a beacon of hope and a reminder of the country's rich heritage. Stepping inside, visitors are awed by the cathedral's grandeur and intricate details. The soaring ceilings, ornate frescoes, and peaceful atmosphere create a truly spiritual experience. Whether you're seeking a moment of quiet reflection or simply admiring the stunning architecture, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is a must-visit destination in Moscow.

I have visited mung churches and Cathedrals in many cities in Russia but i feel by far the church with the most spectacular interior is Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The paintings inside are mind blowing. It's absolutely beautiful. The architecture is magnificent. This is one of the Must-visit cathedrals if you are ever in Russia.

A beautiful architectural work in the Orthodox capital of Moscow, with a remarkable history. The Cathedral of Christ the Savior is the most important church in Moscow, even more important than St. Basil's Cathedral. The church has a unique and strange history that spans from the 19th century to the present day. In addition, it is also the tallest Orthodox temple in the world. The location of the church is near the Kremlin and next to the Moskva River. A must-visit place when visiting Moscow.

The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow, built between 1839 and 1883, is a stunning masterpiece of architecture. Its grandeur and intricacy leave visitors in awe, while its rich history adds depth to the experience. The interior, adorned with stunning mosaics and artwork, creates a sense of reverence and wonder. Whether you're drawn to its spiritual significance or simply appreciate its beauty, a visit to this iconic cathedral is truly unforgettable.

An absolutely beautiful Russian Orthodox cathedral with a rich history and stunning architecture. It is located on the northern bank of the Moskva River and very close to the Kremlin. it is the tallest Orthodox Christian church in the world and was built in the 19th century to commemorate Russia’s victory over Napoleon. Unfortunately it was destroyed in 1931 by the Soviet government to make way for the Palace of the Soviets. it was rebuilt between 1995 and 2000 following the dissolution of the Soviet Union

A cathedral with religious relics and artifacts on display. It's free but it has tight security in the entrance. No video or mobile use is allowed inside. You can appreciate Moscow’s landscape when you buy a ticket and go to the highest floor. It was amazing.

Nestled alongside the Kremlin's western wall, Alexander Garden is a delightful oasis in the heart of Moscow. This expansive park comprises three distinct gardens adorned with vibrant summer blooms and meticulously arranged flower beds that shift colors with the seasons. Visitors can marvel at several monuments, including a tribute to Marshal Georgy Zhukov and the poignant Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where an eternal flame burns and a ceremonial changing of the guard occurs every hour.
This is a beautiful place for a long walk which takes you through the gardens with the Kremlin wall on one side and bridges and statues along the way. We did this a couple of times as a nice way to enter the Kremlin.

Alexander Garden in Moscow is a peaceful park in the middle of the city. It's full of green plants and pretty flowers. You can walk around, relax near fountains, and enjoy nature. It's a great place to take a break, especially because it's close to famous places like the Kremlin and Red Square. Whether you're from Moscow or visiting, Alexander Garden is a lovely spot to unwind and explore.
ABJ — Google review
Established in 1821 by architect Osip Bove, the garden was created to commemorate Russia's victory over Napoleon in 1812. It features well-manicured lawns, colorful flower beds, and monuments, including the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, an eternal flame dedicated to Soviet soldiers who died in World War II.
Vagabond C — Google review
Alexander Garden is a hidden gem right next to the Kremlin and Red Square — a perfect place to unwind while still surrounded by history. The park is beautifully landscaped, with flower beds, walking paths, fountains, and plenty of benches to relax and take in the scenery. One of the most moving sights here is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with the Eternal Flame, guarded by an honor guard and accompanied by an hourly changing of the guards — a must-see moment of respect and tradition. The garden also features lovely monuments, including ones dedicated to famous Russian figures and war heroes. The blend of nature and history makes it a calm and reflective space in the heart of bustling Moscow. Whether you're taking a quiet stroll, snapping photos, or learning about Russia’s past, Alexander Garden is a wonderful stop. It's clean, well-kept, and easily accessible — perfect for a short break during your exploration of the Kremlin and Red Square area.

If you're looking for a unique and nostalgic experience in Moscow, the Museum of Soviet Arcade Games is an absolute must-visit. Established in 2007, this interactive museum showcases a fascinating collection of over 80 arcade machines from the Soviet era, primarily from the 1970s and 1980s.
I spent a very interesting and fun hour at this place. A very well maintained collection , although with some repeated machines, (and the only pinball machine was not working, unfortunately). I liked that every machine has a very detailed description of its origin and playing instructions (and in english too.) A small cove meant for kids holds a treasure of old books and magazines. There is also a small collection of soviet calculators. The museum includes a small cafe and burger shop. The lady at the ticket desk was very helpful and spoke very good English.
Adolfo C — Google review
This place is great. It’s 450 for adults and you get 15 tokens, which go a long way. Some of the games are very difficult to control but those were the arcade games of the time. Personally really loved the shotgun games, especially the bell that rings when you hit a target.
Tom B — Google review
Perfect place for fans of old, slot machine games. The museum reminded me of my childhood when I could hardly wait to buy some tokens to play one of the games. This place has about 50 different games, and I'm sure you'll find at least one you once played. Perfect, I recommend you visit this museum. Good luck!
Studio L — Google review
Awesome little museum filled with old arcade games that visitors get to try out! Very nice setup, and they even have a cool little screening room playing old Soviet cartoons, and where you can (if you read Russian) also read old Soviet magazines or simply sit (one person was in there working on a laptop even. Great little study space!) and relax. The games are harder than they look, and overall were a lot of fun to play around with!
Katherine D — Google review
An amazing experience! The people who run this museum keep the games in great condition. Felt like a kid again playing games that were more machinery than circuits. The English guide is great - it tells you how to play every game in the museum.
Thomas B — Google review
Great place for some fun from the old days. Cool that you can still play the games, you get a set of coins with your ticket (200rub I believe). As a (non Rus speaking) foreigner you cant read the explanations but that's not really a problem.
Ngr193 — Google review
What an awesome place! Well set up for English only speakers. Never seen any of these games so great to look into Soviet arcade history. Stretched it to use the 15 tokens but a good way to spend 30-40 minutes.
JED — Google review
It's not really a museum but a kind of amusement place with old arcade machines mostly from the late 70s, 80s and early 90s, so most of the from the pre-Perestroika era.

The State Historical Museum, an imposing neo-Russian building constructed in 1881, is a must-visit attraction next to Red Square in Moscow. It offers a deep dive into the country's significant history through various galleries showcasing prehistoric relics, Romanov dynasty art, war and maritime history artifacts, traditional wear and handicraft works, as well as intriguing art pieces. The museum also houses exhibits from ancient history, the middle ages, BC era and prehistoric times.
Another must-go in Moscow, you won't bother with little issues of language or admission as they are trivial matters. This is a good starting point to understand historical background of this nation and it's people. Exhibits inside were well kept and you could find this is a warm-up if you are going to visit the Hermitage Museum afterwards. hah

Situated at the heart of the Red Square, the main entrance is at the left side of the building. Entrance fee cost 2000 rubles. It is a 2 floor National Museum housing great and iconic artifacts. However, all or i mean everything is in Russian and as a tourist youll not enjoy it as much as you can since part of visiting museums is reading the historical value of pieces. That made my visit unsatisfactory which lead to finishing the trip in just an hour.
Joferd P — Google review
The museum is located opposite St. Basil’s Cathedral across Red Square. It is one of the largest museums in the world, housing many beautiful historical items. Additionally, the architecture of the building is remarkable. The museum stays open until 9:00 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Close on Tuesday.

Standing majestically on Red Square in Moscow, the State Historical Museum is a treasure trove of Russian history and culture, a captivating journey through the nation's rich and diverse heritage. Its vast collection, encompassing millions of artifacts, spans the ages, from the earliest settlements of prehistoric tribes to the grandeur of the Romanov dynasty. Within its imposing red brick walls, the State Historical Museum unveils Russia's story in a tapestry of exhibits, each one a portal into a different era. Visitors wander through halls filled with archaeological treasures, marveling at ancient tools, weapons, and ornaments that whisper tales of civilizations long past.
Barış K — Google review
Very cool museum! Certainly get the audio guide if you aren’t fluent in Russian. The rooms all have themes and it would have been better knowing that early on. Some of the doors you go through are not well marked that they are indeed okay to go through. And only about half of the descriptors are written in English and Russian. The displays are beautiful. And well planned out. Wonderful museum! I went in the morning and besides a few other guests was mostly alone. Although, on the weekends there seems to be a line down the block! So be early as to skip any lines.
Jack L — Google review
The museum gives 100 percent great experience to every visitor. Your age, gender, social group, educational level are not significant in that everyone receives unique and peculiar emotions inside, so you just should buy the ticket and enjoy history itself. There are always several independent exhibitions; therefore, the choice is huge.
Alexander P — Google review
The State Historical Museum is the beautiful red-brick building facing St. Basil's Cathedral from the northeast end of the Red Square in Moscow. Opening Hours 10-6pm daily with extended hours to 9pm (Friday and Saturday). Constructed in 1883 in Russian Revival Style, this is one of the most attractive buildings on the Red Square. The deep red colour of the building complements the nearby Kremlin and helps give support to the name of this square. You can enjoy building architecture from all sides. It is impressive from within the Red Square and on the opposite Manezhnaya Square as well. In addition to simply viewing this attractive historical building, a visit inside to the see the History Museum (400 RUB) is worth a couple hours of time as well. Here you will see several floors of halls and gallery rooms displaying historical items and artefacts from prehistoric to present times. There is greater emphasis on recent centuries and the expansion of the Russian State. Rooms are cover three floors and museum items are spaced out and well presented in a chronological manner, making it easy to make your way through the collection. Unfortunately, most item displays are in Russian only so it is challenging to know exactly what you are looking at much of the time. Perhaps in time they will update information displays to include English. Overall, we enjoyed our time at the State Historical Museum and considered it worth the two hours we spent here. There are some interesting items on display and even with many displays being Russian only, you can get a decent feel for early and recent Russian history during your visit. Obviously, viewing the exterior architecture of the building is something everyone will enjoy, regardless if you intend to spend time within the museum or not.
Brad — Google review
If you are history lover, specially European history...You should visit this museum. Location is perfect, building structure is marvelous, collection of historical things is superb. The Moscow Museum of Modern Art, established in 1999, is housed in a Neoclassical mansion and features a permanent collection of 20th and 21st century art from around the world. It offers insight into international modern and contemporary artists as well as Russian avant-garde and non-conformist art movements. The museum also houses The School of Modern Art, an artistic education center, a research and art conservation center, and publishes an important magazine.
The Moscow Museum of Modern Art is a museum of modern and contemporary art located in Moscow, Russia. It was opened to public in December 1999. The project of the Museum was initiated and executed by Zurab Tsereteli, president of the Russian Academy of Arts. In 2018, The Vadim Sidur Museum and Museum-Studio of Dmitry Nalbandyan merged into the Moscow Museum of Modern Arts. The core of the Museum's assemblage was constituted from the private collection of Zurab Tsereteli, its founder and director. Artworks of many renowned international artists are exhibited in the Museum's permanent collection halls like Marcus Jansen. The highlights include objects and sculpture by Armand, the “Sun Disk” by the famous Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro, the installation “CIS Ant Farm” by the Japanese conceptualist Yukinori Yanagi, as well as other works of contemporary art based on contemporary technologies. The masters of European and American art, such as Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró and Rufino Tamayo, are represented by their lithographs. A special emphasis has been given to the collection of Russian avant-garde art. The museum spotlights works of world-famous artists of the turn of the 20th century: Kazimir Malevich, Alexandra Exter, Natalia Goncharova, Robert Falk, Ivan Pouni, Vladimir Baranov-Rossine and David Burlyuk (30 pieces). Visitors can also become acquainted with two compositions by Kandinsky’s friend Vladimir Izdebski, who is known for his “Salons de Paris” series after the revolution of 1917, and also a unique collection by the famous Georgian artist Niko Pirosmani. The Museum displays the interesting exposition dedicated to the art of non-conformists of the 1950–70s, whose creative activity was in the opposition to the Soviet ideology. Among them are V. Nemukhin, E. Steinberg, V. Komar, A. Melamid, A. Ney, O. Rabin, A. Zverev, D. Krasnopevtsev, and more. Contemporaries are represented by Boris Orlov, Dmitry Prigov, Francisco Infante, Oleg Kulik, A. Brodski, Aidan Salakhov, Lena Hades, Valery Koshlyakov, Igor Novikov and Serguei Shutov. They are mostly focused on forms of the so-called “actual” art. The Moscow Museum of Modern Art contains works of art from the first decades of the 20th century; the exposition is based on contrasts and correlations of artistic trends and events in Russia and abroad, and is also aimed at showing the integrity of the development of world culture, while specifying the role of the Russian art in it. To celebrate its 20th birthday, the institution invited 20 celebrities from all walks of life to curate its anniversary exhibition. The guest curators include Russian football star Fedor Smolov, designer Andrei Artemov, writer Vladimir Sorokin, TV showman and art collector Andrey Malakhov, theatre director Kirill Serebrennikov and even Marusya (Mail.ru's voice-controlled personal assistant).

Moscow Museum of Modern Art allows you to see the works of modern Russian artists. There is also a bar near the museum where you can buy drinks and some food. In the museum you can buy souvenirs like in any other museum store. Overall, I'd say that you should definitely visit it. There is a lot of interaction and original works of art that you can't find in traditional galleries. Interior looks great and has really modern feeling about it. So you will feel like you are visiting one of the modern galleries in Europe. The price is not very high - about $10. The museum is located in the city center on the Petrovka street. So if you are in that location I'd definitely recommend visiting it.

Poklonnaya Hill, one of Moscow's highest points, holds historical significance as a place where Westerners used to pay homage before entering the city. It has withstood invasions by Napoleon and Hitler and now stands as a symbol of Russia's military strength. At the top lies Victory Park, featuring World War II displays, a war museum, and memorials for war victims. The park also offers scenic walks and houses a memorial mosque and synagogue.
A beautiful monument with several War monuments. Spectacular place, looks even more amazing during the night. Must visit!

Super tall monuments next to the war museum.

Epic and historic park! Make sure you visit here when you are in Moscow! The monuments are large and meaningful. The park celebrates various victories throughout history. There is a chilling Holocaust Memorial Sculpture here that you should definitely visit. There are restrooms all over the place, as well as a large play area for kids. Once you pass the main museum there are many scenic paths to walk on to reach other areas of the park. In springtime there are lots of colorful flowers and the trees are big and green. Come here with the whole family for the whole day. There are lots of food spots serving many classic Russian foods. Coffee shops and ice cream spots are also here. Being one of the highest points in Moscow the views are fantastic.

The Russian memorial park is a unique place. There is a beautiful museum inside which is a MUST SEE. Don't forget to get inside the main hall with the great statue as once in a few minutes it becomes a magnificent theatre presenting you a very impressive show about the 2ww. Also I recommend buying the 400 rural ticket and not the 300. As it gives you enter the authentic planes and arms area.

Impressive park with several war monuments as well as a beautiful tower and a surrounding building housing a museum. The museum was relatively cheap and worth the visit with many related items and reconstruction of pivotal scenes of the war. It's pretty close to a metro station and other interesting sites as well... there's a nice view overlooking the city too!

If you're interested in WWII, then this is a must-see. Great exhibitions, not all items have English texts, but a seriously impressive museum dedicated mostly to the Soviet participation but also detailing parts of the Allies' efforts.
Steinar H — Google review
It was pretty amazing to see such a remarkable site dedicated to the struggle, suffering and tremendous victory of Soviet People and allies!!! Although we have learned a lot about it and my country has suffered a great in the WW II one tend to forget some hard facts! Hopefully never again!!! Museum has two parts, museum building which leads you through the most important battles which are depicted with marveles diorems, from Stalingrad to Berlin. Exhibits from civilian life to soliders equipment, allies and enemies, life before and after the war. Second part is museum in open consistent of war mashinery on ground, sea and air, Soviet, allies and enemy. It is pretty huge so if going with children would recommend two days for the outdoor part is perfect as a playground. For sure something worth visiting regardless of political views! Most of descriptions are on English as well, but could be bit better and this is my only remark!

Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve is a grand 18th-century royal palace with formal gardens, housing a museum of fine arts and antiquities. The vast park features a magnificent palace complex, flower greenhouses, ponds, and dancing fountains. Originally built for Catherine the Great, the park became popular among Muscovites in the 19th century. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks along its many paths and encounter friendly squirrels that are unreserved in asking for nuts.
I really enjoyed the park, very large area to walk around. There was a lot of food and drink stalls to have a break. Good place to relax and read a book or sketch nature. The Cafes on the premises have high prices and the portions are not worth it. There were a lot of weddings going on while I was there and sometimes it felt uncomfortable to walk past them because large groups are trying to take photos so you try to not disturb or not end up in their photos. But it is understandable why people come there during their wedding because the park has a very nice scenery.

Nice place. Lots of beautiful trees with incredible leaves colors during autumn! The Grand Palace is great! The rest is not really worth it! The green gardens... are too basic... just South American ordinary plants nothing impressive.

Absolutely amazing and beautiful place. If you’re a fan of long quite walks in the nature this place is perfect for you. There are so many picturesque places in the park. Also there are many birds and squirrels who are totally tamed and come to ask for food from the visitors. Don’t forget to bring some snacks for them!

Nice place definitely worth visiting. But please do not buy a complex ticket, just buy a ticket to the main palace. There are not much to see in other places. Even they sold the ticket when the exhibition was closed for renewal in the bread house, greenhouses were closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The best time to visit this palace would be during the evenings. The lighting of the palace along with the other structures makes the whole place look like something from a dream. The lighting brings out the features of the structures especially in the night. The gardens surrounding the palace are well maintained. The area isn't crowded as one would expect it to be. Its good place to relax and walk about.

A very beautiful collection of natural and artificial elements that all together have formed a unique colony. The park dates back to the 18th century and forms a series of monuments in Moscow Also, this park has excellent circulation and unique harmony of colors.

It’s beautiful and relatively newly restored. It’s such a pleasant oasis in the suburbs of Moscow and well worth a visit. Bazhenov the architect had an amazing vision that took some time to see finished. Your visit will be well worth your time if you have an extra day in Moscow.

Entering the park is free and in winter people bring their tubes and sleighs for some fun. There are people ice fishing and also feeding ducks. 3rd sunday of the month, every museum is free! Go to the counters to collect tickets to enter. There is cloak room and bag storage as well as lockers. Herb garden is nice if you like plants and greenery. Architecture is beautiful and overall a pleasant visit. There is a cafe at the basement of the museum. Opera house was displaying sculptures, didnt expect that. Theres small children's discovery here and there but mainly russian. Prepare at least 4 hours to visit all areas and musuems, i spent almost a day there!

This expansive aquarium offers an enchanting experience as you wander through its various zones filled with mesmerizing marine life. The best of all the aquariums I have visited. An excellent place to visit with friends and family. Very welcoming, good service, everything super clean, a lot of security on the site, well organized and you can also find a wide variety of marine species. Highly recommended to everyone, you won't regret going. I loved it!!!

It is not very interesting part of the complex the orca was in a very small aquarium, anyway there are some interesting colors and creatures for children and also there are a food court, and many other recreational facilities for kids and families, many coffee restaurants are available around it.

The dolphin show is mostly childish acts with very little time featuring the actual dolphins and orca. When booking, they push you to buy aquarium tickets too. My aquarium ticket said 19:00 entry, but the show ends at 19:45—and I was denied entry after. Lost the tickets completely. Poor organization, not worth the price.

It was magical! I felt like a child filled with excitement, all the fishes and sea creatures are so beautiful, colorful and the aquarium had a very big range of them. the staff is very friendly, the path is built easy to follow and the prices are great for what they are offering I think.

I went there 2 times. One to see the aquarium. It was very nice and beautiful. 2nd time I want to see the lost world show. The lost world show features play of seals , dolphins and whales along with a stage drama in Russian language and live music. It was an amazing experience watching the beautiful dolphins and whales playing around doing amazing stunts. You will see the: 1. Seals 2. Dolphins 3. Seals again but bigger ones 4. Sperm whale (the white one) 5. Finally orca (killer whale) As a non Russian speaking, I didn't understand most of the drama. And the drama took a long portion of the time. I was happy.

Nestled in the northeastern part of Moscow, the Izmailovo Kremlin is a vibrant and enchanting complex that offers a unique glimpse into traditional Russian architecture and folklore. This cultural center and marketplace, constructed in the early 2000s, boasts a kaleidoscope of colorful towers reminiscent of Old Russia's fairy-tale depictions. A fairytale-like cultural wonderland in Moscow's Izmailovo District. It is set up as a cultural center and marketplace loosely modeled after traditional Russian architecture and fairytale depictions of Old Russia. The colorful and bustling complex hosts several museums such as one for Russian folk art, another for bread, and yet another for vodka.

Nestled within the historic Kremlin complex, the Cathedral of the Archangel stands as a stunning testament to early 1500s Russian Orthodox architecture. This magnificent church not only serves as a necropolis for some of Russia's most revered rulers, including Ivan the Terrible, but it also showcases an exquisite blend of Italian Renaissance influences. Visitors are often captivated by its richly painted interiors adorned with vibrant frescoes and intricate decorations that reflect its unique style.
Tons of history, rich of architecture. Worth it to explore by yourself when you visit Moscow.
Phoemsakul K — Google review
One of the interesting churches you can visit at the Kremlin is the Cathedral of the Archangel situated next to the Ivan the Great Bell Tower. Entrance included with the general 'Cathedral Square' ticket for the Kremlin. This is a traditional Russian Orthodox church constructed between 1505-1508 by Italian architect Aloisio the New and dedicated to the Archangel Michael. From the outside, the Cathedral of the Archangel resembles other churches on Cathedral Square within the Kremlin. You will see a heavily frescoed portal at the church entrance and five domes with crossed atop the church. The interior is beautiful with frescoed walls and pillars. There are shrines, icon paintings and an attractive 13 metre all iconostasis as well. However, what makes this cathedral unique is the presence of Royal tombs including Tsarevich Demetrius (son of Ivan the Terrible) as well as other Russian tsars and princes. In the the end, this is one of the more interesting cathedrals to visit at the Kremlin, mainly because of the Royal tombs. Give the Cathedral of the Archangel at least 15-20 minutes to browse and view inside. Note: There are information sheets in multiple languages that you can use while visiting the cathedral. This helps greatly in identifying highlights and important tombs.

Ivan the Great Bell Tower is a striking structure with gleaming onion domes, making it the tallest building within the Kremlin. The tower's history is intertwined with various events, including being situated on the site of the Palace of Congresses and its construction during Nikita Khrushchev's leadership. Despite its historical significance, rapid construction for political reasons led to limited archaeological exploration in its vicinity. This iconic landmark offers visitors a glimpse into Russia's rich history and architectural grandeur.
The must-see tallest structure in the Kremlin! For a while, it was the tallest structure in Moscow. The Ivan the Great Bell Tower holds deep religious and cultural significance in Russia. It is located in Cathedral Square, surrounded by other important religious buildings, such as the Dormition Cathedral, Annunciation Cathedral, and Cathedral of the Archangel, forming the spiritual heart of Moscow. Its bells were rung to mark key religious events and royal ceremonies, connecting the people of Moscow to the spiritual and political life of the nation. In addition to its religious role, the bell tower became a symbol of Moscow's growth and power. For centuries, its height made it a literal and symbolic centerpiece of the city, reflecting the ambitions of the Russian state to become a powerful empire. Visitors can still explore the tower and climb to the viewing platform for breathtaking views of the Kremlin and the city of Moscow. The bells are still present, though they are no longer rung regularly, preserving the historical ambiance of the structure.

This is the church tower inside the Moscow Kremlin complex. It is the home to art exhibits from the Kremlin and other museums. The Ivan the Great Bell Tower hosts an exhibition about the Moscow Kremlin history, about its evolution since the 12th century.
CK C — Google review
Ivan the Great's Bell Tower is a feature attraction within the Kremlin in Moscow. Entrance requires a separate ticket (250 RUB) to the rest of the cathedrals on Cathedral Square (500 RUB). The belfry was constructed in 1508 for the three main Russian Orthodox cathedrals (Assumption, Annunciation and Archangel) which don't have their own bell towers. It is 81 metres in height and topped with a golden doom with cross. Ivan the Great's Bell Tower is an important landmark and beautiful building to see and photograph even if you don't have time or intent to visit the inside. You can see the tower clearly from from pretty much everywhere within the Kremlin given its height over the churchs at Cathedral Square. In addition to the tower, you will also find Tsar's Bell and Tsar's Cannon situated just outside Ivan the Great's Tower. These are both enormous in size and fun minor attractions to view and take pictures of when visiting the Kremlin as well.

With works of Soviet era to contemporary artists placed at different spots in the park, people can enjoy art while taking a stroll through the park. One can see Peter the Great statue on Moscow River up close from this park, while opposite of Moscow River visible, is the cathedral of Christ the saviour. Across the entrance of the Muzeon park is situated the central cultural park of Moscow. Overall the park is worth a visit. I would call this place an insider tip besides all the more obvious sights within Moscow. The free of charge park offers a lot of dismantled monuments from different time periods. Not only it is interesting to stroll around and have a look on the likes of Lenin and others, beyond that it gives some insights in the Russian history. One can easily get lost within all the monuments and spend a few hours there. In my opinion, totally recommendable.

Neskuchny Garden, nestled within the vibrant Gorky Park in Moscow, is a charming wooded retreat that once served as an aristocratic estate. This picturesque park boasts delightful features such as a 1950s rotunda, enchanting stone bridges, and an outdoor theater that adds to its allure. The garden's name translates to 'not boring,' reflecting its rich history of entertainment hosted by Prince Nikita Trubetskoy in the 18th century.
Well. Living next to it makes it a great place to visit otherwise it is a bit far off the city centre where the tourists usually tend to stay. But if you can be bothered with getting to it you will be amazed as to how clean and tidy it is. The scenery and the water channels are very calming and relaxing. But that's not all. As there in the middle of the forest there are special places set for barbeques where you can enjoy the oldest way of cooking meat, unless you are a vegan in which case you can barbeque potatoes the old Russian way. With the help of walking a little, one can also find some small football fields set with goal posts and all located in the middle of the woods. When you think you have seen it all go look for the nicely kept and groomed flower garden where in the middle of it there is a cage with some rare birds being kept there...

A lovely park in the heart of Moscow! There are a lot of playgrounds and little cafes where one can chill out in the shades of the tree crowns. The ideal place to hide from the summer heat in the megapolis such as Moscow. There are also a lot of friendly red squirrels which beg for food. Recommend!!

This is the historical part of Gorky Park. A favorite place among vacationers is the Moskva River embankment, which acts as the border of the garden. Walking in Neskuchny Garden, you can see many sights. Some of the buildings have been preserved since the times of the Trubetskoys, Orlovs and Golitsyns. Bicycle rentals are now in great demand here. You can also play table tennis, go to a large tennis court, various sports fields, or just sit in a cafe and restaurant. There is a coworking space and a mini-hotel where you can stay overnight. There were many playgrounds for children in the park. In summer, open-air music festivals are held. On such days, the sound of instruments and singing do not stop until dawn.

The Darwin Museum in Moscow is a natural history and evolution museum dedicated to Charles Darwin. It features animatronic dinosaurs, high-tech displays, and nearly half a million stuffed animals illustrating the process of evolution. Despite its name, the museum offers interactive displays and microscopes for children to engage with. Visitors find it especially interesting for schoolchildren as it provides an immersive experience showcasing the development of life on Earth through films projected on the walls.
A huge museum, I recommend you visit it early in the morning as it takes 3 hours to enjoy every bit of it. There are some explanations in English but most were just in Russian, therefore, I recommend having a guide with you. The museum closes at 18.00 so keep in mind to come early. There are toilets on the ground floor and a small ice cream shop.

Really well done, great for kids, interesting for adults. Buying tickets online ahead of time is really convenient. It's best to get there before noon - it's always busy, but not bad in the morning. We spent about 1.5 hours, which was just enough to pretty quickly see everything. Our youngest (3 years old) couldn't do muchore than that, but older kids and adults can easily spend 2 or 3 hours taking in all the details. Would have been 5 stars, but there's an absurd section on race justifying long debunked ideas of differences in humans based on skull shape, nose width, skin color, etc. Of course, white people are at the top of the chart in the display, not so subtlety reinforcing white supremacy. I know it's a typically Californian thing to complain about, but it is really sad to see such outdated, racist ideas presented as fact a quarter of the way through the 21st century in an otherwise exceptional museum. I still highly recommend visiting this museum; everything else in the 3 floors of exhibits is great!

Fantastic museum, we visit it every time we are in Moscow, our kids love it! One drawback: I could wish for more texts translated into English!

Not at all what I was expecting from a State museum. It's certainly not the Natural History Museum of London, it's not comparable, not even close, as it should be, considering it's in the nation's capital and it carries Darwins' name, shame. The layout is completely confusing with many hidden extra costs and the staff are a long way from being true Docents or Curators. Where these people are is yet to be determined. It really only served as an escape from the cold outside. Another issue is there is little English text, what there is is random. In one part of the museum you need to put stupid plastic bags on your shoes. It was all a bit strange.

This is not a museum, it is a laboratory for children and adolescents. Everything inside is designed meticulously to research and experiment; thus, I dare say that the idea is great. Anyway, the lab does need to be done up. Some equipment has been used heavily, so it looks like repairing is imperative. Similarly, the color of the walls is not bright. Guys, if the facility is designed for kids, you need more light bulbs and happier colors! To sum up, I reckon that your child spends 2,5 hours inside. P.S. The cost of two tickets us 1200 rubles, so enjoy)

Great place to go to with kids or without them :) I went there with my husband and we had a nice time trying everything out. It's great to be able to experience various physical properties and read about them, learning something new or recalling school. We didn't go to the top floor, it was too much for us for one day, so will probably go there next time. We also went to the cinema "Three cosmic stories", it was totally not worth it. The program was not interesting nor educating, so I do not recommend it.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Red Square is a memorial to all Soviet soldiers who died during World War II. The fire that burns constantly at the monument is a reminder of the sacrifices made by these men. The tomb is always guarded by Russian military personnel, and you can visit it every day.
Nice place and almost minimal design, I was just worried about the standing soldier, how he get rest if he became tired, because he had no move and even a blink of eye, but it was very good style and symbolic ambient and shapes. I liked it and the fire in the place, they use the art to describing the subject as well as possible. No waiting and ticket is needed, you just pass from here while you are visiting the area.

This is a monument for the Russian soldiers who left us during the WW II. There is an eternal flame glowing. There are two Russian guards, properly attired and "change of guard" happens every hour. One of the interesting things to see at the Alexandrovsky Garden is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier memorial located against the Kremlin Wall near the entrance to Manezhnaya Square. This memorial was unveiled here in 1966. At that time the remains of unknown soldiers killed in the Battle of Moscow in 1941 were moved to this location as part of the 25th anniversary remembrance of the battle. Here you see an eternal flame originating from a bronze star elevating from the ground. Behind the flame is a bronze helmet and banner draped over a porphyry block. Flanked by to manned guard stations, it is a touching and solemn tribute. We found an information plaque near the memorial but it is in Russian language only so best to use your guidebook for information about the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier if you are interested in seeing this attraction during your sightseeing in Moscow.

Located in Victory Park, the Victory Museum is a massive tribute to Russia's involvement in WWII. Since its opening in 1995, it has housed the world's largest permanent collection dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, spanning over 14,143 square meters of exhibition space. The museum features an extensive array of wartime artifacts such as weaponry, vehicles, photographs and newsreels. Visitors can also explore temporary exhibitions that provide further insight into this historical period.
Very good museum for history and ww2 enthusiasts. The museum tells the story of ww2 from the aspect of Russia. I was shocked to see there was no English descriptions anywhere. We used some google translate to be able to understand but it was very exhausthing overall. Hope they add English translation too, because one day I would love to go there again and read everything in there. Very cheap entrance fee. Can go check definitely. In the upper floors, floor 2 and 3 there were more things to check but unfortunately the lady refused us and said only tour groups can enter those parts of the museum. If you are travelling alone or with a friend its very sad to only can see the half of the museum. :(

London was awesome this is the best. The best museum I have ever visited and it has a lot of staff about WW2. It's not about all the way to the victory of the red army. It also has a number of tremendous items staff German American and of course Soviet. It recreates in a room perfectly the Reich stag as it was when it fell. It has a lot of souvenirs that the Germans left to the Soviet when they lost the war. And the think that I will not forget was the exhibition is the memorial room which is worthy watching it.

The Dormition Cathedral, located in the Moscow Kremlin, is a significant Russian Orthodox cathedral dating back to the 14th century. Despite its relatively small size, it holds immense historical value and is one of the oldest and most revered structures in Moscow. Archaeological findings suggest that a wooden church existed on the site in the 12th or 13th centuries before construction on the current cathedral began in the 15th century.
This was the main cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church for centuries. A must-see for those visiting Moscow Kremlin and Cathedral Square! The church is the coronation site for Russian monarchs from Ivan the Terrible to the last tsar, Nicholas II. The cathedral witnessed numerous state ceremonies that shaped Russian history!
Vagabond C — Google review
A fulll day in the Moscow Kremlin and that is not enough as it has so many iconic sights including this the Dormition Cathedral, also known as the Assumption Cathedral. It was built between 1475 and 1479 by the Italian architect Aristotele Fioravanti and served as the main church of the Russian state as the site of coronations, weddings, and funerals of Russian tsars. As can be seeniIt features extensive use of limestone masonry and an interior is adorned with beautiful frescoes and icons, including the famous iconostasis, which dates back to the 15th century.
Ross D — Google review
Majestic and imposing six-pillared building with five apses and five domes. It was modeled after the Assumption Cathedral in Vladimir. Inside the cathedral, there are colourful and historic fresco paintings on the walls and ceiling. Stunning and impressive, definitely worth a visit
CK C — Google review
The Cathedral of the Assumption (Dormition Cathedral) is the crown jewel of the collection of churches at Cathedral Square in the Kremlin. This is a beautiful building that is considered the mother of all churches in Moscow. Originally constructed in the early 14th century, the church you see today was built near the end of the 15th century by Ivan the Great, who fancied a more imposing and decorative church to demonstrate the growing power of the nation. The church features five large golden domes topped with crosses and typical exterior architecture to what you will see of the other church buildings within the Kremlin. What you see within Dormition Cathedral is quite impressive. The large interior features columns, walls and high ceiling adorned with decorative frescos. There are historic chandeliers, paintings of icons, thrones and other interesting things to see. The interior is completely covered with seemingly not an inch of empty space, giving your eyes plenty to enjoy. Note: There are information sheets in multiple languages that you can use during your visit to the church. This is very useful for identifying the highlights and many interesting things to see in the Cathedral of the Assumption. Overall, we found the Cathedral of the Assumption to be the most interesting attraction of the Kremlin. Queues can be a bit long to enter and it can be crowded inside, but all for good reason. If your time is limited for the Kremlin, do prioritise your visit to include time here.
Brad — Google review
The Assumption Cathedral is the oldest of the three cathedrals that make up the Cathedral Square. It was built between 1475-1479 by the Italian architect Aristotle Fioravandi. Prior to moving the capital to St. Petersburg, it was the personal church of the Grand Dukes and the Tsars. Then it remained as the place of refuge for kings and emperors. The temple suffered many disasters from fires and invasions between the 16th and 19th centuries, but they were always corrected. Today the cathedral is one of the most popular sights in the Kremlin. Of particular interest are the frescoes, the iconostasis, with images from the 12th century and the "Throne of the Gladiator", which was elaborately carved in 1551 for Tsar Ivan II. In the Cathedral of the Assumption, there are tombs of almost all patriarchs until the early 18th century.

There is a guided tour for 300 rub or you can go in own your own for free, it's basically a flat in the same building Bulgakov used to live, the tour goes through 3 rooms and there is a display of his life events and related history, the tour is in Russian only, however there is a some literature in English available but the most interesting facts were told in Russian by the tour guide, there is a small coffee shop and a gift shop in the apartment, you can also write a note with a wish and they will put it in a balloon and send it to the sky at the last week of August. All in all, it's a nice place, would recommend that you bring a Russian friend

2 museums, same address! The 1st entrance is the Bulgakov Theatre Museum, more an ode to "The Master & Margarita" book. It's very simple, signs only in Russian with Russian language tours. Walk a bit further into the courtyard to reach the actual Bulgakov House Museum (200 rubles for adults) where you walk up a graffiti coloured stairwell to visit the famous apartment #50 which inspired the same location (along with crazy characters!) in the book. I preferred the actual Bulgakov House which had personal items, family history, etc with English information.

If you're a Master and Margarita fan, you can't skip on visiting "that damn building". The apartment has a few rooms decorated like they would be in Bulgakov's house, art installations and temporary exhibits. The stairs leading there became a place of pilgrimage during the USSR. People would flock there to write their favourite quotes and make drawings, and there are several layers of paint visible. I visited the apartment museum on the 4th floor, not the state museum on ground level.

Very nice aquarium, with a big variety of fish, but to be honest not as big and having the variety of Moskvarium. The ticket is 900 rubbles during the weekdays and 1000 during the weekends. BUT, it's the only one in Moscow where you can actually dive in! Fantastic experience! If you're a scuba diver, do not miss that chance to live a unique diving experience, with lots of great fish (groupers, small sharks, turtles, barracudas, rays etc) so curious and used to human presence!

Wow! What an aquarium! Not only does it have marine life but it also has freshwater animals, jungle animals, and an Ice Age exhibit! A great experience overall, would definitely recommend taking the children out on an educational adventure filled with fun. PROS: Plenty of places to visit, has a cafe, and food that would interest the children (popcorn, lollipops, etc) CONS: Very nit-picky problems but I'll mention them nonetheless. To take photos a photo pass is required. In some areas, specifically between the freshwater area and the marine area, birds are flying freely (potential cause for concern as bird poop may get on clothing). However, that could be taken as an experience for children to enjoy watching exotic birds fly within an arms reach.

This is a wonderful museum to visit for those interested in Russian history, history of firearms, development of armored vehicles, and heavy weapons. The museum will offer exhaustive information about uniforms, flags, medals, ranks, etc. for periods starting with 14-15 centuries to the post-Soviet time. As other reviewers noticed, the information sheets are only in Russian. The most valuable treasure in this museum is the 'Flag of victory'. As a Chinese I always hear my gov says China is a world's top strong country. But our weapons were all from Russia, or imitated form Russian like these.

Fanatstic museum for those who are interested in history and/or military. There are a lot of impressive original exhibits. For example the remains of the SR-71 spy plane piloted by Garry Powers that was shot down over the soviet union in 1960. Furthermore they have the original flag of the red army that was raised on the Reichstag in Berlin in 1945. Outside of the museum you can find various planes, tanks and more. The only drawback of the museum is that most descriptions are only in russian.

A comprehensive museum covering Russian military history from the days of the Tsar to the modern day. No English captions, but much of it is self-explanatory. Standard adult ticket was RUB300.

The Kazan Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox church that was rebuilt after it was destroyed in 1936. The original church was built in 1633 to celebrate the liberation of Russia from Polish invaders. Today, the cathedral still houses an icon of Lady of Kazan which is said to have helped Prince Dmitry Pozharsky remove Polish occupiers.
The Kazan Cathedral in Moscow is a magnificent example of Russian Orthodox architecture, dating back to the early 17th century. With its iconic dome and serene atmosphere, it's a must-visit for anyone exploring the city's religious heritage and cultural landmarks.

One of the interesting attractions to visit at the Red Square is the small and quaint Kazan Cathedral, situated in the northeast corner of the square near the Resurrection Gate. Opening Hours are 8am to 8pm daily. This is a reconstruction of an earlier cathedral that was consecrated in 1637 and then demolished in 1936. The cathedral was rebuilt between 1990-1993 based on historical records. The design resembles other historical Russian Orthodox churches in colour and design scheme with a single dome above the main church and a single tower building. Inside, you will find a small but highly decorative interior with iconic images and other items associated with the Russian Orthodox faith. Worth finding is the replica of the Icon of the Kazan Virgin, the original having long been relocated to St. Petersburg. In the end, the Kazan Cathedral is an attractive and interesting cathedral to see during time at the Red Square. You can comfortably visit in 10-15 minutes before making way to other intended sightseeing endeavours.

The cathedral has a very fascinating and unusual facade. Previously known as the "Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan". A Russian Orthodox church. The present building is rebuilt as the original church was destroyed instructed by Joseph Stalin in 1936.

Every time I visit Moscow I try to visit this place for a bit, if possible. I'm a Baptist, but I do know how to appreciate some good Orthodox culture. The small church, the peaceful atmosphere and the amazing choir stand in defiant contrast with the institutionalized, soviet relics outside combined with the industrialized & commercial GUM.
Dorin C — Google review
This small church is tucked away in the corner of Red Square between the State Historical Museum and GUM. It was founded in 1636, but the original was demolished during the Soviet era. Today’s church was built in 1993. The cathedral may be small, but that just lends more to the atmospheric peace and stillness. It’s free to visit.

Nestled within the historic Kremlin, the Annunciation Cathedral stands as a testament to Russia's royal heritage. Originally constructed for the Moscow Great Princes and later czars, this stunning church served as a venue for significant ceremonies and housed treasures of great importance. Its interior boasts magnificent murals that tell stories from Ivan the Terrible's reign, alongside an ancient iconostasis that captivates visitors with its beauty.
A must-see for visitors to Moscow Kremlin! As the private chapel of the tsars, the Annunciation Cathedral was central to the personal spiritual lives of Russia's rulers. It was where they prepared themselves for major decisions, sought divine guidance, and underwent confessions before momentous occasions.
Vagabond C — Google review
The Cathedral of the Annunciation is one of the impressive churches that can be visited at the Kremlin in Moscow. Commissioned by Ivan III in 1484 as a Royal Chapel, this is a beautiful church to see. Entrance is included with the general 'Cathedral Square' ticket for the Kremlin. This church is located on the southern side of Cathedral Square in the Kremlin. The entrance is across from the Cathedral of the Archangel. The exterior is similar to that of other churches on the square, highlighted by golden domes topped with crosses. The interior of the Cathedral of the Annunciation is smaller than others on the square but it remains impressive with heavily frescos walls and pillars as well as an decorative iconostasis that is worth some time to view. A handful of historic icon paintings and other religious items worth spending a few minutes to enjoy are on display as well. Note: There are information sheets in multiple languages that you can use during your visit to the church. This can be useful for identifying the many highlighted items of interest within the Cathedral of the Annunciation. Overall, we found the Cathedral of the Annunciation to be a nice inclusion to the group of cathedral visits at the Kremlin. While not our favourite the attractions visited here, we did enjoy our 15 minutes viewing the inside of the cathedral. It is worth making time for.

Attractive eye-catching facade of the Annunciation Cathedral in Moscow. Russian Orthodox church dedicated to the Annunciation of the Theotokos. Renowned depository of many Orthodox shrines including the image of the Annunciation, the image of Merciful Savior with burning lamps, the icon of the Blessed Virgin of the Don, the icon of Blessed Virgin Mary Unexpected Joy

This kind of domes are very interesting in shape and design, this one in golden color and numerous of small and big domes on the columns / minarets, inside these churches in this area are some museums that should be paid for. In the entry of the area you decide if you want to visit which one and provide the ticket of that.

Trip A — Google review
The Cathedral of the Annunciation is a truly beautiful Russian Orthodox church dedicated to the Annunciation of the Theotokos (a title of Mary, mother of Jesus, used especially in Eastern Christianity). The stunning Cathedral is located on the southwest side of Cathedral Square inside the Kremlin in Russia, where it directly connects to the main buildings of the Grand Kremlin Palace, adjacent to the Palace of Facets. It was originally the personal chapel for Moscows tsars, The abbot from the Cathedral remained a personal confessor of the Russian royal family until 1917. The opportunity to have visited this exquisite Cathedral was terrific! The Boyars Memorial Estate, Chambers of the Romanov Boyars, is a Russian palace and museum complex that was used by the aristocratic Romanov family from the 15th to 17th centuries. The estate consists of several palaces and chambers that were used by the boyars (nobles) during that time period. The complex is located in Saint Petersburg without any signs at all, but was well worth the search.
Very well maintained museum, walking distance from the Kremlin. Shows how the noblemen or boyars lived during the 16th and 17th centuries. They take your coat and give you shoe covers. As you enter each room, the covers on the furniture are removed to give you a clearer look.

I was told to leave my hand bag at the cloak room that didn’t seem to have a safe. The reason given was that it is too large, though it is an average sized hand bag that I carry with me everyday and never was called too big in any other occasion including air travel. Then I was given two plastic bags to put my valuable belongings and carry with me in the museum. I found this not normal at all. So I left and heard the museum paid my ticket price back to the group.

A decent collection of traditional Russian handicrafts. I met a very helpful attendant who briefly explained to me about the ceramic exhibits and then a rude one. Well, the latter blocked my way to the exhibition hall at basement and asked for my ticket but not from the Russian who arrived almost the same time as me There were only 3 of us in the hall and I was piqued by it. A good museum to visit if you are interested in Russian folk art. The layout of the museum is slightly confusing: there is one exhibit up the stairs right at the entrance, but to get to most of the collections you need to turn right and walk until you reach the turnstiles. There you will find three stories of various exhibits. Most are okay, but the highlight of the museum is its exhibit of Russian miniature lacquer paintings from Palekh and Fedoskino. The collection has hundreds of lacquer objects spanning the entire history of the art form and they are absolutely beautiful. The gift shop has a book in Russian and English about the exhibit. I recommend everyone in Moscow to see it.

It's a lovely building, but the people who run it are extremely inhospitable. After they gave a guard with an AK 47 see if your name is on the list, they can't even provide chairs to sit on in the dressing room and instead require people who are performing for free to stand for hours. My own experience? I've been exploring this national Park since the end of 60's. Since my childhood in other words. Saw it change in all kinds of ways. Starting with amount and characteristic features of people who visit the place and ending with changes in ecosystem of the forest itself. I walk my dog there every day, have been doing it for the last 13 years in fact. I can write a mini book on the subject of logging of the forest, for instance. Or the link between the amount of ticks(insects) and the presence of absence of elks in the area. In other words, the place feels like home.

(Translated by Google) The Church of the Life-Giving Trinity on Gryazekh at the Pokrovsky Gate is located in the administrative district of Bely Gorod, Moscow, and belongs to the Epiphany Deanery of the Moscow Diocese. The temple was built in 1861, according to the design of the Moscow architect M. Bykovsky. Funds for construction were allocated by Councilor E. Molchanov. In Soviet times, the temple was closed and used as a granary. The bell tower and dome of the temple were demolished. Later it housed a cultural center and a cinema. In 1990, a leisure and recreation center was located in the temple building. The temple was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church in 1992. Only in 2009 was the restoration of the facades of the temple completed, but in the future it is necessary to restore the central dome and bell tower. The temple was built using examples of Renaissance architecture. The facade of the building is rectangular, 4 pillars, with lowered corner cells and a portico. A domed drum and a multi-tiered bell tower were placed on the roof. After the finishing the park it self before the exit there is a kids corner they loved it even spend 3 hours . Honestly it’s kids dream world indeed. After that we had dinner at the exit corner very nice family restaurant and it has its own playing space as well. Everything we ordered we reordered again. Prices are very much reasonable . The mall is nice and cute not very huge but it has all the shops u need .

Had a great time with our three kids (oldest is 140+ cm the youngest is below 120 cm) and they all enjoyed. Lots of fun rides- after reading the reviews we opted for the fast track tickets (expensive!) but totally worth it as there was almost no wait time and we managed to play some games twice.
Nuha A — Google review
The park is nice and has a lot of games but the waiting line on the games is a joke no one respects the line and it’s too long you take more than an hour to ride the games with no monitoring the line and any one could just skip it and enter wherever they want. It was a very bad experience that I’m not willing to take again, because the only way to avoid it is to purchase a fast pass ticket which is even more expensive than the normal ticket costing triple the normal ticket price. I would not recommend coming to this park during the summer or any holiday

Bunker-42 on Taganka, also known as the Cold War Museum, is a former Soviet anti-nuclear bunker turned into a museum, laser tag arena, and conference center. This underground labyrinth was constructed in the 1950s during the Cold War era to protect against nuclear bombing. As you descend through its depths, you'll immerse yourself in the Soviet era and gain insight into how the USSR prepared for a potential nuclear conflict.
This is as frigtening as it is fascinating and a reminder of what is possible if things go wrong. It is known as the Tagansky Protected Command Point and is now a fascinating Cold War museum. The Bunker was built in the 1950s, to be a secret military complex designed to serve as a command post in the event of a nuclear attack. The information says that it was fully equipped with everything needed to sustain life underground for several months. There is a stack of history and exhibitions and it will please folk to know that while I took control of the nuclear buttons I decided against pressing them.

It was amazing experiencing what goes on inside a real life bunker and command center for nuclear attacks. My only criticism is that most guides and cash desk officers do not speak English/Arabic which is very hard for tourists to understand anything. We mostly took pictures and translated later (no service underground) or tried to read some translated plates on some devices/uniforms etc. Generally, a worthwhile experience!

It was an amazing experience having the opportunity to visit a former real-life nuclear command center. When you enter there are quite a few steps you have to walk down as the museum is 65m underground. There are props from the original center and you get to watch a movie about the history of the Cold War.The guided tour is ONLY in Russian, though. I think it'll be much better if non-Russian speaking visitors have recorders with earphones that have different languages on it.

DON’T VISIT HERE IF YOU DON’T SPEAK RUSSIAN Everything here is in Russian, the guide will explain in English for less than a minute and then he speaks 10 minutes in Russian (we don’t blame him because he did his best to explain to us). They gave us an audio that also has a 2 minutes max explanation, with a strong Russian accent. The ticket is 4000 ruble per person, it’s NOT WORTH it. We complained to the manager which was very rude, she accepted to refund us 1,000 ruble per person.

Only able to see 1/4 of the entire bunker, wish more was open. I recommend to get the translator if you don’t speak Russian. Almost 20 flights of stairs (workout). They do hourly tours.

My experience was fantastic, thanks to our creative guide Alexander. He provided clear explanations without any language barriers. I highly recommend visiting the bunker with him, as there's an intriguing surprise that you'll have to discover for yourself!

- The place isn't that special. - The ticket price is expensive (2200 rubles) per persone - Russian Language only, if don't know Russian it will be hard to understand. - I don't really recommend to visit this place unless you visited all the main attractions in Moscow.
Hamed I — Google review
It has been quite an unpleasant experience honestly. The lady at ticket office is astonishingly rude and impatient - really uncomfortable experience. Price for foreigner is obviously inconsistent - 3700 rubles, different from the numbers that I have seen here so wondering what is the magic.
