Local history museum
Château Perrier is a historical gem located in the Champagne wine growing region, offering visitors an immersive experience into the origins and evolution of the area. The chateau has been transformed into a modern museum dedicated to champagne and regional archaeology, with three floors showcasing the rich history and unique soil formations that contribute to producing some of the world's finest effervescent wines.
Initially I was going to give the museum a "4" because the one area I started in was all in French. The english audio guide they provided gave limited info. A gentleman overhead a comment I made and explained in english the room I was in was for the local growers who may not have experienced some of the major calamities of the past, for example, the 1890's big infestation that wiped out crops and to recognize past challenges have been overcome and to be resilient. As for the other rooms and floors, excellent. A person can also take a break and visit the gardens at the back for free. The only negative I have is they do have places to lock up your back packs but were not pointed out when I purchased my ticket so I had to walk around with my back pack strapped in front of me.

Nice museum in a beautifully restored house. We really enjoyed learning in detail about the champagne making process. It would be great to have the old wine making equipment set up in the cellar as it would have been used so the visitor can get more of an immersive experience. Overall it is worth the visit.
Staci W — Google review
An elegant museum with rich collection, and it organized so good that the kids can totally enjoy themselves even they can’t understand France. We spent a great afternoon here and learned a lot.

Champagne Palace with an interesting museum covering archeology, geography, and history. We'll worth a visit and price is reasonable.
Beth — Google review
Absolutely massive and really interesting exhibits! Really enjoyed the archaeology section and the champagne section was brilliant too. A good English audio guide was provided free of charge too. Well worth a visit but allow plenty of time so you get to see it all 🙂
J S — Google review
If you’re in Epernay, this museum is a must. The curation and restoration of this old building is a credit to the community.
James J — Google review
If you're a history buff or like to know more about the how of champagne making then this is a great place to visit. The added audio guide is free, easy to use and informative. Was personally interested in the Champagne making the most and history but this is not the only historical heritage kept here. Loved the 'hands on' smelling of the different ingredients that go into the Champagne with the different grapes. Relaxing way to fill in a few hours between Champagne house tours. It was advertised that there was a cafe here, but that didn't eventuate. Shame they haven't changed the signage.
Helen H — Google review
Really fantastic museum - the archaeology section was particularly well done and interactive. Highly recommend (yes only complaint that most signs were only in French - but English audio was very good in general)

The theme was focused on tolerance, accepting differences, choices while respecting others and then there was the main idea which spoke of our beautiful planet, the lack of respect of human beings towards animals, life, yes really! Atelier 1834 - Champagne Boizel is a historic champagne house located in Epernay, the capital of Champagne. Established in 1834, it has been thriving under the leadership of two brothers, Florent and Lionel, who represent the sixth generation of the family. The cellars have recently undergone extensive renovations and offer magnificent private tours and tastings hosted by CEO Florent Roques-Boizel.
A Must-Visit Champagne House in Épernay! My recent visit to Champagne Boizel in Épernay was truly an unforgettable experience. The warm hospitality and passion of the team stood out, making the visit special. Exploring the historic cellars, surrounded by aging bottles, was a remarkable highlight, and the tasting session was exceptional. Each champagne showcased Boizel’s elegance, finesse, and signature style. If you're in Épernay, this is an absolute must-visit for any champagne enthusiast. Highly recommended for an authentic and memorable champagne experience!

This was a lovely set up. The wine cards placed in front of each tasting is nice for reference. Sitting around the bar while tasting champagne was nice and we could chat with other visitors too.

Beautiful location in the heart of Epernay. A lady called Margaret guided us. She was very informative, and the tour was not too long. We tasted 2 different champagne after the guided tour. Highly recommended!!
Fumiko R — Google review
We visited some champagne houses but our visit to Boizel was the best we had. We did an English tour with Thaya and she was super funny, knowledgeable, spoke super English and the tasting was really well done. We can definitely recommend it!
Annette M — Google review
Stunning building and history. The tour was really informative but not too overwhelming. The building and tasting rooms are gorgeous and all the staff we encountered were super friendly and welcoming, especially the guide. There are so many options in Epernay but def recommend this one for our tours and tastings!
Zoë C — Google review
We did a tour with Louanna today and were lucky enough to be the only 2 people on the tour! Louanna was very knowledge and it was great to see ‘behind the scenes’, especially in the beautiful cellars. The tasting was one of the best we’ve done in this region - the information cards are so helpful and the champagnes on offer are varied and delicious. Would highly recommend stopping by and enjoying this wonderful place!
Abbey G — Google review
Very nice family-run Champagne Boizel. A quick visit to drink champagne in the sunshine and a lovely setting with very nice and informative staff.
Joe M — Google review
A fantastic tour and wonderful champagne! The tour was the perfect length and the volume of information ideal - not too much, but enough (and you are encouraged to ask anything else you want to know). You explore part of the production areas and wonderful caves, before enjoying your selected tasting. Our host was exceptional. Happy to recommend this any day!

Champagne LECLERC BRIANT is a pioneering champagne house that has been certified biodynamic since the 1980s. They blend organic production with innovative techniques, such as aging in metal barrels and storing bottles in the sea covered in barnacles for a unique flavor. Visitors can enjoy modern tasting rooms and admire the stunning view of Epernay, at the heart of the region.
Booked this tour on the advice of some reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Emma was lovely and made us feel really welcome and special. Her tour was very informative and gave us insight into the workings of a real Champagne winery (as opposed to some of the other more superficial ‘mass’ tours). The Champagne was lovely, well made, and the rose very special (my favourite). Would definitely recommend that you add this to your list of places to visit (as a minimum, one large house and one smaller house such as Leclerc).
Philip M — Google review
We had a fantastic tour of a this house which has both a very interesting history and and an admirable present philosophy. Highly recommend to book a tour if you are visiting the champagne region. Opting for the medium level, the so called immersive tour, gave the chance to try something truly unique, a champagne matured on the bottom of the ocean.
Konstantin S — Google review
We had the best time! Our host was great, fun and so very knowledgeable. We learned so much, enjoyed tasting & smelling the differences of the different champagne and vintages! Our group, although none of us knew each other starting the day, all from different countries USA, Netherlands, and Italy, after our tour and our " test" felt like friends. AMAZING lunch! Discussing what we had learned, talking laughing and just having a great time. We can't say enough good about this tour and our host, five star for sure! Book it now, so worth it! Awesome tour. So much more personal and up close than the big houses. Learnt much more and had fun. Tasted 6 awesome champagnes! Cheers.

Make sure you go to the right place for your tour! It’s not the one on Avenue de Champagne- it’s about a 20 minute walk, so you’re likely to miss some of the tour, which is what we did. The address is on your email confirmation. Tour was pretty good. I’m not sure if we missed it, but I would have appreciated more basic information about how champagne is made. We saw the stainless steel tanks & learned how they are cleaned. We learned something about biodynamics & fermentation in glass. We saw into some cellars and learned about how the Abyss range is matured. And we had a tasting of 2 champagnes, which was interesting .
Annie P — Google review
Regret booking this. The experience was disappointing from start to finish. They have two locations(with the exact same names) and we accidentally arrived at the wrong one. Instead of handling the situation with some flexibility, the staff immediately blamed us and told us to ‘check our tickets.’ The two locations are only a six-minute drive apart, so we wouldn’t have been significantly late if they had simply let us join the tour. We actually booked our uber on the spot to make our way there asap but they told us to cancel that. When we asked if we could join any of the later tours, we were told it was fully booked – though honestly, would two extra people have made such a difference? This lack of hospitality set the tone. Reluctantly, they offered us a tasting at the location we had come to, despite the fact we had paid €90 for a tour. What we got were four of the tiniest pours we experienced anywhere in Champagne, and worse, the wines were flat and stale (as you can see in the video). It was especially noticeable that many bottles were left uncorked on the counters without stoppers, which likely explained the poor quality of what we were served. To top it off, the waiter who served us made a point of repeating that the ‘correct address was on the tickets.’ The service throughout was curt, unkind, and at times just plain rude. Overall, this was the lowest point of our trip. With so many warm, authentic, and generous champagne houses in the region, I would strongly recommend skipping this one.
Esmée — Google review
The excursion was great, and the guide was passionate and energetic. However, the champagne served was disappointing—stale, flat, and at the wrong temperature. For the price of the tasting, this was a very strange and underwhelming experience. If the wine can’t even be served properly, it raises serious doubts about the rest of the winemaking process. Probably the first time I’ve ever rated a champagne tasting 1 star.
Eugene M — Google review
I visited Champagne Leclerc Briant this past December, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. The entire experience was exceptional, and a big part of that was thanks to Antonella, our guide. She was incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and passionate, and she really made the visit unforgettable. She explained everything in such an engaging and approachable way- from the biodynamic methods they use to the history of the house and the winemaking process. I learned so much, and it made me appreciate the Champagne even more. The tasting itself was a highlight. Each glass had its own character, and you could really taste the care and philosophy behind the wines. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, and I left feeling inspired and grateful for the experience. If you're anywhere near Champagne, make sure to stop by. It’s truly something special.

Le Ballon d'Epernay offers a unique way to experience the beauty of Epernay and its surrounding vineyards from a bird's eye view. This aerostat balloon, located just minutes away from Avenue de Champagne, gently ascends 150 meters above the city, providing breathtaking panoramic views. Visitors can savor this experience with a glass of champagne in hand. On days when weather conditions don't permit ascents, a virtual reality alternative is available.
Didn't make reservations, just walked up and after bit of wait was able to have a glass of champagne in souvenir glass and ride up in balloon. Beautiful view of the area.

Nice experience. Good aerial views of town and surrounding vineyards; a bit restricted by the safety netting though.

for $48 two people can go up in this balloon with a glass of champagne. the whole experience maybe last 5 minutes but it’s fun! you see the city and nearby geography, it’s informative!

Very nice experience. Totally recommended. For about 10 minutes balloon goes up to 150 metres and offers stunning views on town and countryside. Very kind staff.

€12 for about 15mins 150meters up. Goes up gently - only takes 2 mins. Elevated for about 10mins. Great 360 views of Epernay. Comes down gently you hardly notice it. It was safe and secure. Gift shop is available with lots of champagne accessories. Note it closes at 1pm for 1 hour for lunch. Staff pleasent and polite.
Leena G — Google review
A truly enjoyable activity priced at 14 euros per person (champagne not included), taking you up approximately 150 meters for a duration of around 15 minutes. The guide is friendly and provides instructions in both English and French.

Great views, very smooth. 18 euros each with a glass of champagne (and you take the avenue de champagne (acrylic) glass home). They also run in the evening. Get to see the avenue, town and the champagne hills from a different view.

Église Notre-Dame, a stunning gothic cathedral located in the heart of Reims, is a must-visit for history and architecture enthusiasts. Constructed over two centuries, it holds great historical significance as the site of coronation for 26 French kings and was famously taken by Joan of Arc during the Hundred Years War. The late-19th-century church features a fairy-tale silver spire and combines Romanesque and Gothic influences, with beautiful rose windows illuminating its interior.
Nice place to visit! Definitely to recommend!

It’s an amazing and beautiful church ⛪ outside. My boyfriend and I went there but it was closed. I was standing outside the church and wishing I could be with my man forever and have a beautiful child together one day. I hope our child has a good heart ❤️ beautiful and smart like their father. She or he one day could use their knowledge to contribute to our beloved world 🌍. I was really blessed to have my wishes. My boyfriend, who is now my fiancé, kneeled and proposed to me with his tears and was full of my surprise. Thank God for giving me the best man and moments in my life. One day we will come back with our child together ❤️❤️❤️

Museum
Pressoria - Voyage sensoriel au coeur du Champagne is a unique museum located just outside Epernay in Ay-Champagne. It offers visitors a sensory journey through the heart of Champagne, providing an in-depth understanding of the region's history and the process of champagne production. The museum features interactive exhibits that engage all the senses, from learning about the development of the earth and soil to experiencing the aroma and taste of local champagne.
We absolutely loved it, my sister thought it was the best museum she’s ever been to (and she’s been to a lot!). I initially searched for things around champagne for kids, and this place hit it absolutely right for all ages! Our little boy has not got the greatest attention span (at nearly 3) but it was perfect - there were dinosaurs (!), lots of interactive things, visuals, and for me just enough reading (but not too much!). Would highly recommend to everyone visiting the champagne region to learn about champagne!

(Translated by Google) Friendly atmosphere on the other hand we ordered a drink and we were charged a 25 cl jupiler instead of a special 50cl beer at 8.80 eur after complaint we were refunded 2.80 eur which amounts to a first price beer at 6 eur y not like a problem? In addition to your answer and if you had read my first comment correctly I had paid 8.80 eur for a 25cl jupiler beer I went to claim and I was refunded 2.8o eur which after claim amounts to a 25cl jupiler beer for 6 eur !! She kept my ticket and I didn't dare ask again. Your colleagues don't know how to count a priori!... well, I'm still disappointed... Thoma's Champagne Tastings offer a delightful experience filled with humor, juicy anecdotes about the region and champagne. Visitors are in for a treat as they enjoy a perfect blend of fun, knowledge, and delicious champagne tastings. It's an amazing opportunity to have an enjoyable time while learning about the world of champagne.
Tom has grown up in Champagne and it shows. His extensive knowledge of smaller independent producers as well as the larger maisons really impressed me, and he constructed a thoughtful and enriching itinerary for our group (3 couples). Tom is a natural host and made every effort to ensure our long weekend in Champagne was one to remember.

I celebrated my birthday in style staying at Thomas’ place. He took us round the vineyards in the morning, we then had fun guessing flavours and aromas tasting different champagne in the afternoon at his place with great views overlooking the vineyards and the tower of Castellane. What a treat ! All very central, near the town center, the train station and the famous Avenue de Champagne!🍇🍾🥂

Toma was a great host and guide for me and my family. He gave great insights into local champagne production and made it lots of fun. Highly recommend!
Christopher M — Google review
Tom is a fantastic host. He should be your first stop in Epernay as hes inly a stroll from the train station. He taught us useful information about the different types of champagne that came in handy for the rest our trip. He also doubled as a chauffeur for us ferrying us around the region in his van. To top it off he did me a favour and purchased and shipped some items to Australia for me after we had left. Look up Tom and he will help you have an incredible trip in the champange region.

Tom has provided an excellent experience touring the beautiful Champagne region! He is very knowledgeable about the whole process of making champagne, he was super helpful and friendly with my little boy making our experience even better, and the wine houses we visited were great! Small, charming, and the customer service was amazing! We will come back to see other house wines in the future for sure!

An amazing experience for our group. We came with friends from Mexico and it was laughs, learning, great champagne and good vibes. Recommend to anyone that wants a high end experience away from the crowds at Moet and Chandon.

Piscine Bulléo is an aquatic and sports center that offers a variety of treatments in its newly redesigned wellness area, including duo massages. Visitors can also enjoy access to the aquatic area and fitness center before or after their treatments. The family pool is well-heated and there's a fantastic wave ball feature. The facility is known for its cleanliness, attentive lifeguards, and warm welcome. It's described as clean, warm, not too crowded, and overall superb by visitors.
Super 👍
Alina P — Google review
I was quite shocked at the lack of cleanliness of this facility. The young life guards seem to be more interested in chatting with each other than watching people in the pool. I don’t like that there are no designated swim only lanes but there is a sign up for kick only? Kids were running around the pool deck and diving into ‘swim’ lanes and the whole experience was off-putting and seemingly dangerous. There was mold inside the pool in various spots and the entire facility needs a very good clean... Disappointing.
Christine G — Google review
Discriminating overweight and oversize people! After paying 18€ for entrance, staff asked us about having swimmingtrunks because bermuda shorts, swimmshorts etc are not allowed. We had not. So we had to buy some trunks from a vending machine. The largest size was xl. It was small like an EU L and was not elastic. It was not fitting for me. They argumented the vending machine was from another vendor and not their problem. I should call the vendor machine service and create a ticket or wear the not fitting trunk or go home. Money back was not possible. And some staff smirked all the time about my situation. No professional service staff in this place.

(Translated by Google) It's a real shame because there are always problems in this establishment and it's been for a long time! The wellness area, let's not even talk about it, is NOT always broken: there are leaks, another time the steam production is out of order, another time the sauna is out of order (I don't understand, it was replaced in mid-2024!) Sometimes a pool is closed for some health reason. Of course, there's a pool at the end of the pool for very young children, and you see parents coming with their little ones to the large pools, little ones who can't hold on (normal at their age), and no one intervenes to rein in these parents! So don't be surprised when pools close! No one supervises the exit from the changing rooms; many people enter the pools without having showered; you only have to look to see it! Anyway, apart from that, everything's fine. Luckily, there are the neighboring pools!!!

(Translated by Google) Surprised by the various comments, we are always greeted with a smile and kindness. When I'm alone with two young children, the staff kindly watches over my child who isn't going up the slide so I can take turns going down. It's a beautiful, clean complex, ideal for the whole family!

La Briqueterie POINCY is a spacious entertainment venue offering activities like karting, bowling, and laser games. While the bowling stage may be smaller than others, it still provides a good experience despite occasional technical issues. The karting area stands out for its size and fun factor. However, some visitors find the place to be crowded at times. Additionally, there are limited ball pool tables available.
Went karting with my brother. Staff doesnt speak very good english but try everything to help you! Karts where good, track amazing had a fun time!

Good bowling but smaller than most. Kept having "hanging" faults on our line. Drinks like cocktails are on the higher side (9euros)
Lyn L — Google review
Really enjoyed the experience. The carts go fast enough to be able to enjoy it. He was pretty liberal and letting us ride like we wanted without too much chaos. Fun day out.
