Historical & Legendary Cathedral This is one of the oldest Cathedrals in the world. It witnessed the crowning of Kings in the Middle Ages and was always an amazing beacon of faith for the Catholic Church. It is currently ongoing a bit of renovation but still looks fabulous. If you come to Reims you will see the Cathedral it is the absolute one and only building you need to see visit. We were also very impressed by the inside the ceilings are so high that they give you this feeling of Grandness- ABSOLUTE must see !

Extremely beautiful church! Huge and with nice information inside! They have a shop as well as some brochures for more information. It is a must for people interested in French history and Gothic architecture. You cannot miss the Marc Chagall's piece of art!

Although there is still tons of scaffolding in the back outside the church, the inside is mostly all gleaming and magnificent! Lines move fast but recommend getting advance tickets. There is a handicap fast lane. Despite efforts to keep voices down, it is not conducive for a quiet prayer. Small gift shop inside sells metals and stained glass window replicas. A lovely, gorgeous church. Panels outside show some of the construction processes.

We did the roof tour. Nine euro each and very easy to book on their website. 249 steps with no stopping places so be prepared for a hike. Our tour was in French but he did a little bit in English for us. Some surprises up there which I won't spoil

Impressive cathedral that has a rich history and an important place in French history. In fact, it’s were most the country’s king got crowned as a result of king Clovis vow. It’s definitely worth the visit. The town has made a lot of effort to conserve it and renovate its treasures. It’s free and has many visual to guide your visit

We did a walk through this beautiful basilica in the afternoon, and then returned for the Luminescence show in the evening. The basilica itself is beautiful and enormous. Was apparently started hundreds of years ago in the Roman style and then as it was damaged in the wars and added to the style of the additions was Gothic. The Luminescence show was absolutely incredible. About 45 minutes of history of the basilica, all in French, with an incredible immersive light show that highlighted and the architecture of the church itself. Highly, highly recommend.

The Basilica of Saint Remi stands tall in the city of cathedrals. The sheer size of the structure is overwhelming. Interiors arts have a great story to tell. Wander through to enjoy this marvel.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend the immersive experiences they do here, unless you're with children and it's for them. As an adult it's nice but it's not great, especially for the price. The photos and videos make it look better than it is. I can see that it would be great to entertain children quietly for an hour and would recommend it for that. Other than that, it's a beautiful building that's worth checking out.

After kicking off our day trip to the Champagne region, we started our tour at the magnificent Basilica of Saint-Remi. Stepping inside felt like a real-life time machine, transporting us to a peaceful, ancient world. The atmosphere was so calm and serene, it was the perfect place to start our day and escape the hustle and bustle. An impressive fact about this place is that it's the final resting place of Saint Remi, the guy who baptized the very first King of the Franks! Talk about a pivotal moment in French history! The basilica isn't just a building; it's a super cool piece of the past that sets the stage for a day of amazing discoveries.

This is a place where Kings have been crowned. It is stunning and mystical at the same time. Situated next to the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Reims, it is a place to see if you are fan of history and royalty. The display is amazing and takes you on a journey across the lives of Kings. We were alone in the museum early morning so that could be the best part of the day for a visit. Zero queueing and the whole place just for us, the stroll became almost a VIP one. It will not take more than 1 hour unless you really want to spend 5mins contemplating every display, carpet or statues. Equipped with the Education pass and a kid of 11, the entry was free on top of that. Plan your visit and buy your tickets in advance to go quicker otherwise wake up early and enjoy the museum at your own pace freely.

Great artifact collection. Worth getting the audio guide because all the exhibit descriptions are in French. I would recommend getting a combined ticket because entry price is 8 Euros.

This is a must in order to get a full understanding of the cathedral. Definitely worth the entrance fee.

Beautiful museum, although none of the explanations were in English it was still worth a visit.

Good museum featuring an explanation of the coronation ceremony, regalia, and treasures, along with a history of the cathedral structure and many sculptures saved from the facade.

I have been trying to experience the museum of my adopted country while covid has kept most tourists away. I have seen a lot of museums that have done a good job balancing the safety of visitors with the ability to still see and understand the exhibit. This was not one of them. The gestures taken for covid seem haphazard at best and nonsensical at worst. Also, as a warning, all explanation plaques are in French which is fine. More worryingly, signs indicating directions and important information are inconsistently translated into English and German (sometimes one, sometimes both, sometimes neither) and the translations (in English anyway) are mostly terrible.

I'd say it's a must for anyone in Reims or stopping by in the city. The coolest part for me was to see some of the old statues that fell off the cathedral which are now on display inside the palais. Really makes you appreciate the craftsmanship and the detail that went into buildings back then.

What a fine little museum this is! If you are looking for a history break while going to Reims, between 2 champagne houses, that is the perfect place. It tells the story of the 7th of May 1945, where the first ceasefire was signed between the allies and the axe, this is the first treaty by because Joseph Staline wasn’t happy about the way it was organized . A second one was signed the 8th in Berlin. I love to remember that once Russian and Europe were allies. I’m grateful that now Germany and France are sibling nations. What a nice place to visit, you will see the table the first reddition was signed and the war maps.

A must-visit in Reims. A well-preserved moment of history. Allow 45-60 minutes. It begins with a very informative film which provides to background about how the signing occurred in Reims. The room in which the unconditional surrender was signed looks exactly like the photographs from May 7, 1945. You will be impressed by how small the space is, as well as how little pretense there was surrounding the event. We visited 2 days before the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. It was a Monday, and the high school next door was in session. Teenagers were everywhere outside, but don't let that fool you. Very few people were in the museum the day we went, and most were an elementary school class on a field trip, and they were incredibly quiet and attentive.

Fantastic little museum. €5.50 well spent to understand the historical significance of this city 80 years ago. Excellent 5 min film in English to set the scene. Walked through a number of small rooms of photos, documents and period uniforms before reaching the room in which the surrender was signed. Very moving, left as it was with maps and weather reports and daily operation plans on the walls.

A wonderful and humbling experience at the Musee de la Reddition. We explored the museum that features the War Room where Germany signed the act to unconditionally surrender and end WW2. We spent 90 minutes at the museum (which was sufficient) on our way to the Gare de Reims.

I love museums like this. A unique feeling to be in the same place, the same room where Germany surrendered at the end of the WWII. A real foray into history. The exhibition of models wearing the uniforms of those times fascinated me. Everything looks impeccable, the employees are very kind and the price of a ticket is 5 €. Worth a visit without any hesitation if you are in Reims.

Saradha villers was a great guide. We showed up at 5:32 and the museum usually stops entry at 5:30 as they close at 6. Saradha took pity and let us in (for free) and showed us and explained the war room and the surrender. She was clearly passionate and knowledgeable. I recommend the museum.

Nice market with lots of local produce and of course with a champagne and oyster bar to enjoy after shopping. A delightful weekend experience.

Range of vendors inside and out on the day we visited. Lots of local and artisan products including pastries, cheeses, wine, champagne, veg, olives, meat and fresh fish.

No doubt a good market with lots of other shops and restos nearby but beware the hours of operation. We arrived at 13:00 on Saturday when the market closed at 14:00 and all the vendors were packing up and would not sell. Go earlier to be sure not to be disappointed.

Very fun market to walk through with a variety of vendors. Every stall had fresh looking produce. We ended up getting some olives from one of the sellers and they were delicious! He encouraged us sample so many things and was so welcoming and friendly!

Fabulous covered market. We visited on a Saturday and picked up some lovely radishes, cherries, saucisson, and cheese for a little planche at home. Friendly vendors and lots of free samples 🥰

Amazing! Just what you expect of a French market in the Champagne area. Fresh products, ambitious salesmen and people enjoying the proces of picking out there own food from the land. Even an elderly Frenchmen that helped us with a recipe for the 'cèpes'. It was a great omelet.

Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetable stalls. Fish, meat and cheese stalls were also there. May not have been operating at full capacity, lots of empty spaces.

Place Drouet d'Erlon is the vibrant heart of Reims, offering a fantastic mix of cafés, bars, restaurants, and shops. Charming main street in Reims with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Blend of medieval elements with Art Deco style makes for a pleasant stroll. Technically, this street is the longest square in France.

A nice area to walk through and enjoy the fountain, statue, shops and cafes. It’s quieter in the morning and evenings, but still enjoyable during midday with more people walking around.

Fascinating architecture, worth a walk to find with your camera

A beautiful building but we should have read the opening hours information as it was closed on a Monday. We were here beginning of spring (March) so check if you are traveling other seasons.

The museum has some big spaces and the Abbey courtyard inside is lovely. The tapestry exhibition worth it. The general theme is very much circling around the Holy Remi person.

Excellent museum with a variety of collections from neolithic, gallo-roman architecture etc, through to 18th and 19th century French army uniforms helmets etc. The Tapestries are worth seeing if nothing else. They have been repaired beautifully and presented in a very tasteful way in their own hall. They invite contemplation along with appreciation. Do not be put off if the museum looks closed - it does - but check the times and see if the front door is open. Entry fees are very low. Max €5,50. Don't miss it

The museum is located in the ancient Abbey of Saint-Remi, near the basilica of the same name. I recommend visiting it before visiting the church. It contains mainly Gothic-era sculptures and also features a collection of Roman artifacts and beautiful tapestries depicting the life of Saint-Remi

Beautiful! Charming and you can visit it all! I guess if you are passionate a lot about history it would be suitable for you. It is also child-friendly with many brochures for them. Moreover, they have a nice yard with benches. The building seems to be nice as well as the personnel.

It is a good museum, but not the best in comparison with some similar. Roman mosaics and medieval tapiseries are highlights. The entrance was 5.50€.

It's the biggest church i have ever seen. Must visit places. A good atmosphere and free to visit in Reims,France. You can see wonderful architecture inside. You can also get a souvenir coin of saint Remi for 2 euro from here.

very interesting combination of the founder of the house 15th century who built it and 200 years later, the person who reconstructed it after warfare damaged it and collected an impressive private collection of interior objects. it’s a one hour explanatory tour and the person was very educated.

Amazing experience! I highly recommend it, there is approximately 1 hours guided tour included in the ticket with a person well-educated to tell you numerous facts about the building! I was impressed by the preservation as well as the museum's pieces! I loved it!

Great tour! Available in English if you ask beforehand. Very interesting house, with rooms containing furniture from all over the world, and a garden full of doorways and doors. Very unique.

Excellent museum filled with eclectic exhibits from Hugues Krafft's travels. We were guided through the museum by a very knowledgeable and engaging English speaking staff member. Well worth the visit

This is one of the city's hidden treasures. It can only be accessed with a guide, and what a guide we had! Theo is a true expert; he knows an incredible amount about the place and speaks excellent English. I hope you're lucky enough to have him as your guide, too I also want to say how unforgettable it was to be in that room with genuine Dürer prints. Nothing compares to that experience!! Thank you for those unforgettable 10 minutes we were allowed to spend there

Interesting to see the old style cars and motorbikes. If you visit on a hot day be aware that it gets very hot inside the museum. Our visit was quicker due to this. Cold drinks, postcards etc are available to purchase.

Wonderful assortment of makes of cars and trucks from early 1900's (maybe earlier...I'm not a car buff) in amazing condition , and motorcycles and a couple of old bicycles. A room full of toy and model cars in cabinets, and a small area selling cards, and metal wall hangings to do with the car industry. You can walk through the large rooms at your leisure. Not a lot of information about each car/truck.

Huge collection of automobiles, from the very first cars to experimental cars, racing cars, rally cars, vintage fire engines American cars. So many vehicles allow half a day to view them all. Descriptions of each vehicle is displayed in French.

A hidden gem! But lovely cars to “inspect” - there is a beautiful aura inside the walls, we had a very fun time going back in time with this collection and a very friendly staff. This is an amazing collection of classic cars, from way back to current times, and curated by people who are really into cars. Housed in a massive warehouse, the collection of cars and motorbikes was well worth the walk from Old Town for anybody who loves classic cars like myself. So glad I made the effort.

I’m genuinely surprised that it rates so high in reviews, as it’s really bad! There are a few interesting cars but there is no logic to the displays and the cars are generally in quite poor condition. The displays are very unprofessional and there appears to be very little or no ongoing maintenance. Best avoided in my book, as I have no idea why you would go there, and I am a serious car head. Also, way overpriced for what you get.

We entered with a friendly welcome from the staff. After that there is a lot of reading about the history (predominantly world war 1), mixed with a lot of displays of helmets, weaponry, and accessories of soldiers during that time. Definitely a recommendation if you are interested in armies. The fort on itself was not too interesting.

You can come visit even if the museum is closed. You will obviously not have access inside to see the story, but you can still walk all around the fort. The information and the artifacts are top notch. It is recommended to have around 1 hour to fully complete it and read everything. Parking is avaible for free.

This is one of the places I've enjoyed the most while visiting Champagne. The display in the main corridor outlines the history of the fort and the progress of World War I in general. The smaller rooms along it are filled with either collections of weapons, uniforms and other objects or dioramas, all of this well made. The outside portion of the fort has plaques describing what-is-what as well. There are a few interactive bits and some footage from the time period, and a lot of objects such as postcards, novelty items, posters, everyday items etc. So it gives you a lot of perspective both on WWI as a whole and in a more "close" or "human" sense. My one complaint is something that I've noticed in some other museums in France. The displays in the main corridor are in French, English, German and even Braille (French, I assume). Alas, everything else is in French only. This isn't much of a problem if a plaque just says "French cavalry helmet", but there were some items that had additional explanations given and I feel like I could have learned a lot more. Google won't let me take half a star away, though, and other than this I think this is a great place to visit, so I'm giving it a five. Some two-three hours seems like a good estimate for how long a visit takes. Well, maybe four if you are very thorough.

Wonderful WW1 museum integrated in the old Fort, plenty of good descriptions, awesome artifacts, with tons of unique pieces you probably won't find anywhere else in western europe. The Italian WW1 mannequin is... improvable, but since it's not the main focus of the museum we justify the oversights ;)

Good museum, doable in about 2 to 3 hours time depending on whether you read all exhibits, which are, by the way, available in 3 languages, french, English and German. They also have audio guides in Spanish and Italian. What you'll learn by visiting this place is the daily life and routine of a soldier of WW1. Lots of equipment on display, some weapons, and the biggest collection of German WW1 helmets in the world. Definitely worth a visit.

Museum with full of world war memories, maintained very well by the government of france , youngsters and children's must visit this place to know the pain of wars.

Interesting view into the history of the region dating back to the Roman era. Free entry and just a short visit right in the middle of the Forum plaza.

Pretty small, I was expecting something big, 10 min max for the visit but ofc it is nice to learn more about the french history.

It was supposed to be open but we couldn't get in so could only look from the top. Unfortunately, large trees block much of the view.

It was closed. But people were still gathering, having picnic or discussions. In addition, there were playgrounds recalling games and school time. I enjoyed myself playing and as well taking to people.

Don't expect this to be a museum. It is a wonderfully excavated Roman ruin and definitely worth the free visit. Make 10 minutes during your trip to Reims to come here.

Mr Fujita, known as a École de Paris’s painter was baptised at Cathédrale Notre Dame de Reims. His artworks are unique, sophisticated and somewhat lovely. Quite interesting to see since its atmosphere is kind of religious and french-Japanese mixed, plus full of hope.

Although it is truly beautiful, one should check the time of opening before visiting👍

I loved the exterior of the church, but unfortunately I did not get to see the interior because it was closed despite the fact that it said on the gate it was supposed to be open from 2 to 6. I went there at 2:15 and then later again at 4:30 but it was not open. I recommend that you plan other activities alongside this if you are planning on visiting because it probably will not be open.

€5 to enter a tiny church is extortionate. With two employees sat there doing nothing It includes a visit to another church that is out the way with no opening times on the internet

Super interesting tour and champagne tasting at Vraken, Villa Demoiselle. A nice leisurely tour and time to relax afterwards with a glass of delicious champagne!

I love art deco houses and furniture but I don't drink alcohol. Why is the focus so much on the champagne? You have to buy a ticket with a glass of champagne. The ticket is too expensive this way and also your ticket is only for one hour. Feels like a tourist trap, this house deserves so much better! A lot of pictures of this review for the Villa are from the wine cellar across the road, you can buy a combination ticket.

A beautiful villa and tasting. I really had a wonderful time here. The hosts were welcoming and answered questions about the villa. I loved all the rooms, beautifully decorated. Very much recommend a visit here.

Beautiful place, had champagne and dessert at the pavilion. You can also purchase champagne bottles from the shop inside. Service was excellent.

Self guided tour hence could be boring. Not a lavish tasting like the other champagne house but maybe I chose the wrong ticket. Travelling with a stroller is possible as there are elevators.

We visited the beautiful Villa Demoiselle. It was a self-guided visit with a paper / audio guide but we didn't feel like we got a lot of information out of it and felt a bit 'lost' during the visit. The guide is mainly focused on the history of the building, rather than on the champagne itself. We recommend to get a guided visit.

Beautiful Arc build a few years ago back in 300 AD, I know, it’s a while back, but it was reasonably renovated and stands crisp and clean. There’s a small cafe and free training facility for a quick pull up session. 👌☀️🍾🇫🇷

A single monument surrounded by a park and lot of greenery. Such a wonderful place to sit and embrace the beauty of this monument.

I think it’s a pretty space. They set up hammocks in addition to the seating and eating areas, and it can be a nice little place to relax and chill, especially when the weather is nice. It’s also right next to the city Centre, train station, and is surrounded by lots of bus and tram stops. If you’re a more private person who likes very quiet and covered areas, it might not suit you that much though.

Porte de Mars is absolutely fascinating! This ancient Roman triumphal arch is remarkably well-preserved, and walking around it really gives you a sense of history. The intricate carvings and massive structure are stunning up close. It’s easy to access and a great spot for photos or a quiet moment appreciating Roman architecture. A true hidden gem for history lovers and anyone curious about the past. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

It stands proud in the middle of the city and close to the rail station. One could enjoy the fresh air and the outdoor activities such walking or skating. I loved it thanks Reims, the very green and clean city.

Beautifully restored Roman arch on one of the main squares. Its very nicely done. Supposedly the widest Roman arch remaining. Definitely worth seeing.

It’s really nice place for kids!! They have athletics for small children(0-3) on the photo and +3 years old children. Also they have tranig machines for adults. It’s huge park so if you drop your car at the parking lot, go left at the first fork and walking for 3-5 minutes, you will find the park on your left (We went right at the fork and it takes more than 20 minutes to get there😇).

Very nice park with several big kids playgrounds. It also has a “beach” area with a beach volleyball field. Toilets are available on site and they were clean.

Very beautiful park. Complete and very nice playground. The downside is that it closes. Even worse: it closes very early during winter. It has a climbing area for kids, a huge playground and a beach beachvolley field. I love this place. Do look for major events as the park might close.

Impressive mountain in city center symbolizing 4 major rivers of the region was built in 1906 by Andre Narjoux.

Sube Fountain is a landmark in central Reims. Erected in 1906 it celebrates the 4 rivers of the area. While it was damaged, it did survive WWI. Most of Reims wasn't so fortunate.

Nice pretty fountain with nice flowers and fountain. Well sculpted and cherub is quite nice. Lots of shopping and restaurants all around.

A plaza in the french style where you can sit and admire the building surrounding but it’s mostly administrative. It’s not as lively as other plazas in the city

From 1757 with King Louis 15 "the beloved" dressed as a roman. Last Place Royale installed in France. Celebrates soft approach to good government with the Lady of France leading a lion by his mane. Lamb sleeping in the wolfs paws demonstrates expectations of a better world.

Upstairs, a really lovely digestible collection of European art from the middle ages to the beginning of the 20th century. Check out the Renoir to remind yourself that even geniuses have off days.

Note : this museum closed for major renovation in September 2019 .It be will closed for at least three years. It is hoped some of the collection will be put in display elsewhere in Reims over this period.

The main halls were closed, because of the heat. It will close in October 2019 for extensive refurbishments. It will reopen in 2023.

It's an ok collection in a gorgeous building that is quite run down and needs some TLC.

The statue is easily accessible and makes for a perfect stop while visiting the cathedral. Created by Paul Dubois in 1896, the statue depicts Joan in full armor and mounted on horseback. It's not lit at night, which is kind of a bummer, but she's still easy to see and photograph! The statue is also steeped in historical symbolism. Reims holds a special place in Joan's story, as it was here that she witnessed the coronation of Charles VII in 1429, fulfilling her divine mission to restore a rightful king to the throne of France. This is just a cool stop for history (and art) buffs, and it's a free attraction which makes it worthy of a five star rating.

Veuve Clicquot cafe and tour were unforgettable. We arrived early so that we could enjoy a bottle and some lunch before our tour of the cavern. Lunch was very tasty. I would suggest that more time is left between tours so that this does not happen in future and customers do not feel they are on a conveyor belt
