Nestled in a charming 1934 building, the Phuket Thai Hua Museum offers an intriguing glimpse into the rich history of Chinese immigrants in Phuket. As you wander through its thoughtfully curated galleries, you'll uncover stories that shaped the island's cultural landscape. The museum also features a cozy coffee shop where visitors can relax and reflect on their experience.
I’m really feel touching and grateful that I’ve been this incredibly museum as a Taiwanese who speak Hokkein language, here presents a lot of information about China migrant how to flee geopolitics and escape to here to try to survive, it’s totally tough and hard working which it’s very thankful for Thai people’s support. They build good relationships until now that Thai-Chinese could donate back to society. This is peaceful society circle looks like.

Very fascinated to understand the cultural and economic significance of the Chinese influence within in Phuket. The museum was quite clean and quiet which pales in comparison to the busy streets of old town nearby. At the time of my visit there were some works happening in the building so I guess it affected som exhibitions which I was not able to see properly. But other than that, definitely recommend this place for a nice visit when in town.
Godwin M — Google review
Pretty cool house but the price is a bit much. If you’re into the Chinese history of Thailand and industrial development in the late 18th century, then god bless your heart and soul. It was a nice place to escape the rain for us and a good visit before we had an amazing lunch at a Michelin star restaurant down the street. Not bad just not super exciting to be honest.
Anthony L — Google review
I believe it's not worth the 200 bath entry but it was interesting. It's about how the Chinese made Phuket great as they came over during the tin mining times, earning political influence and creating their own communities and schools. In the mid 19th-20th century the population was really 60-80% of Chinese origins, so it's understandable to give a museum to commemorate their influence. Big roof ventilators try to cool down the place, it's still quite warm in there. If you want to learn about Phuket history, you should rather visit the Phuket Museum 8 minutes walk from here.
Andrea D — Google review
The museum is small, but it’s interesting to learn how Chinese immigrants made effort to bing in Chinese culture and keep the heritage. Short intro from Perplexity: Phuket Thai Hua Museum is housed in a beautifully preserved Sino-Portuguese building on Krabi Road in Phuket Old Town, originally built in 1934 as a Chinese-language school for local Thai-Chinese families. The museum showcases Phuket's history, especially the story of Chinese immigrants who came to work in the tin mining industry, and offers exhibits on local culture, architecture, traditions, and cuisine. Visitors can explore interactive displays, historical artifacts, and short films, making it an engaging cultural and educational experience. The museum also features a charming open-air courtyard and garden with old mining tools, reflecting the island's heritage.

The Blue Elephant Cooking School & Restaurant in Phuket is located in a beautifully restored Sino-Portuguese mansion that was once the residence of a prominent Chinese merchant. The restaurant offers signature dishes found at all Blue Elephant locations, as well as an impressive selection of Peranakan cuisine, thanks to a collaboration with a Peranakan association and Rajabhat Phuket University.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Blue Elephant Restaurant. The ambience was elegant yet welcoming, and the food was simply outstanding—flavors that truly stood out and made the evening special. A special mention to our host, Pathomrat, who made our visit exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Pathomrat greeted us with warmth and ensured we felt comfortable throughout our meal. Their attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and genuine hospitality added so much to the overall experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing food, beautiful surroundings, and service that makes you feel truly valued.

From the moment we arrived, everything at Blue Elephant Phuket was absolutely perfect. We were warmly welcomed with a beautifully presented welcome soup and cocktail, which set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Our host Erwin was simply amazing attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Thai cuisine and hospitality. He made us feel right at home and guided us through each course with enthusiasm and grace. The presentation of every dish was stunning (the welcome plate was almost too beautiful to eat!), and the flavors were a perfect balance of tradition and creativity. The attention to detail from the elegant table settings to the fresh ingredients truly elevated the dining experience. If you’re visiting Phuket and want to experience authentic Thai fine dining with world-class service, Blue Elephant is an absolute must. Thank you to Erwin and the entire team for making our evening so memorable!

Absolutely love the food, the atmosphere and the people working here. Had the best time here with the best food. I got the Moo Hong and some beef satay skewers and a coconut flan dessert and each one was just incredible. I think the Moo Hong was the best braised pork that I've ever had. They also had these special rice burger bread that was just out of this world. I also had a couple people, Erwin and Jane, that were amazing and made my experience here extra memorable. I originally made a reservation at this restaurant with my husband as I wanted to surprise him with a special honeymoon lunch. But he got sick the day of and so I went to the restaurant myself to try their food as I'm a big foodie and heard great things about this restaurant. They helped me feel comfortable eating alone and even made me a special dessert that I could send pictures to my husband so that he can feel like he was here. I was very touched by their efforts. I would definitely come back to this location or their other location in Bangkok whenever I come visit Thailand from the U.S. again.

Delightful and charming staff who were entertaining and kind. Thoroughly enjoyed talking with them and the environment they created - Namcha and Star were really stood out. The food served was delicious and the portion size was hUGE - taste was flavourful and well balanced. Drinks were unique and tasty also :) The atmosphere was brilliant, we went at night and the outdoor premises were breathtaking. Went for a short stroll around after our meal. Thank you to all the lovely staff who made our 4.5 year anniversary memorable haha.

I wasn’t even sure I enjoyed Thai food until I visited this restaurant. The immaculately kept gardens and the stunning old colonial building that houses the restaurant are most definitely worth visiting. However it was the food that impressed me the most! Expecting to be singed by the spices (despite my request to the contrary) I was surprised to find none of the food overly spicy and absolutely delicious! The Som Tum was like nothing I’ve ever tasted before and an absolute taste sensation! For mains I enjoyed a lime and garlic sea bream which was cooked to perfection. Their pina colada was delightful and big enough to last me the evening. Don’t forget to pick up some take-home treats from the shop before leaving!
Don R — Google review
The amazing food and the superior service demonstrates why the Blue Elephant Restaurant is a Michelin Star and has received numerous awards. I had the sea bass and it was excellent. Compliments to the chef! Jane and her staff provided fantastic service to include recommendations. I encourage Jane and her staff to open a Blue Elephant Restaurant in California while bringing the same quality and service found in Thailand. Thank you to the Blue Elephant Restaurant for a memorable experience.

Oh my goodness. If you’re in Phuket you have to go to the Blue Elephant Restaurant! They also have a fantastic cooking school you can buy ingredients and take home with a kit! Star was our waitress and her knowledge and experience was amazing. She was beautiful and very easy to talk with and give suggestions. Pam’s was also delightful to serve us. I’d give 6 stars if possible ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Phuket Old Town Sunday Night Market Walking Street is a vibrant and diverse market located in the heart of Phuket's historic Old Town. This bustling market, which opened in 2013, showcases the rich cultural tapestry of the Sino-Portuguese community along with Indian, Chinese, and Muslim influences.
According to me the Old Town was the best attraction of Phuket. We came here on a Sunday evening which happens to their market day. The buildings here were inspired by Sino Portugal architecture. Very attractive. Many buildings have converted into hotels, museums, cafes and restaurants cum bars. It was very very crowded even though many streets were only for pedestrians. One could find stalls of paintings, artwork, souvenirs and different type of food, fruits and exotic juices. At some place music bands were going on. In one of the lane there were about 30 chairs for foot massage. The entire area was lighted with colorful lights. It looked very pretty in the night. The ambiance was rocking. If you want to enjoy Indian cuisine then visit Amritsar restaurant.

The Phuket Night Market is a vibrant showcase of Thailand’s heart and soul—where sizzling street food meets the charm of handcrafted souvenirs. As the sun sets, the streets come alive with color, aroma, and sound. The air is rich with the scent of grilled seafood, skewered meats, spicy papaya salad, mango sticky rice, and crispy Thai pancakes made right before your eyes. Every bite tells a story—authentic, bold, unforgettable. Wander further and you’ll find rows of stalls lined with artisan crafts: handwoven bags, coconut-shell jewelry, carved soaps, and quirky artwork by local creators. These aren’t tourist trinkets—they’re pieces of culture, made with skill and care. The market isn’t just a place to shop or eat—it’s an experience. It captures the spirit of Phuket: warm, creative, and buzzing with life. Whether you’re hunting for unique keepsakes or just want to eat like a local, this night market is a must-visit.

It was a great experience while roaming around old Phuket town as its beautiful yet crowdy at times but its a must visit if you love food and shopping unique Thailand products. Pretty cheap for shopping and have a good variety and also has the best food!! We went there at the festival time so it was quite fun around the place!!

Phuket Town Night Market is a must-visit spot for anyone coming to Phuket! The atmosphere is lively and full of energy, with so many things to see, taste, and buy. You can find everything here—from delicious local street food and refreshing drinks to handmade souvenirs, trendy clothes, and unique accessories. The food section is definitely the highlight — grilled seafood, mango sticky rice, Thai pancakes, and local snacks are all freshly made and super affordable. The vendors are friendly and helpful, and the whole market feels very safe and welcoming. It’s also a great place to experience local culture and see how people from all walks of life come together to enjoy the evening. Whether you’re there to shop, eat, or just stroll around, this market is a perfect way to spend your weekend night in Phuket. Highly recommended for couples, families, and anyone who loves exploring local vibes! 🌙✨

A must-visit if you’re in Phuket on a Sunday! The night market in Old Town is vibrant, lively, and full of character. From local street food and handmade crafts to live music and boutique stalls, there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is festive and family-friendly, with plenty of halal options and unique souvenirs. It’s a great place to soak in the local culture, try new dishes, and enjoy a relaxed evening stroll. Just be prepared for crowds — it gets busy, but that’s part of the charm. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic Phuket experience.

Must visit place, free of charge.. This museum is a place where you can learn about the history of the BaBa( Chinese,), how they came to Phuket, Thailand, and why they came. When Chinese people were in an unstable situation due to famine and changing dynasties in China, they came to Phuket by boat to make money in the Tin mine. The Saturday night market on Soi Romanee offers an active atmosphere where visitors can enjoy local street cuisine and mingle with both residents and tourists.
Soi Romanee is in Old Phuket Town where the Sino Portuguese architecture is very well preserved. Not a very long alley so you can explore in a very short time. Used to be a red light area and now it has been preserved as a touristy alley.

What a place to be. Amazingly beautiful, houses and shops are beautifully maintained. A lot of shopping options, food outlets and so much more. Soi Romanee can be termed as heart of Phuket Old Town. Soi Romanee was once a red-light district for the many Chinese laborers who came to work the tin mines. The name of this soi is intriguing as rommani is an old-fashioned Thai word that has several meanings such as 'beautiful', 'adorable' and 'favorite'.

Jui Tui Shrine, a vibrant Chinese shrine in Phuket, is known for its annual Vegetarian Festival. After undergoing renovations, the shrine now houses three large statues of different Chinese gods, with Tean Hu Huan Soy being the most prominent. The shrine's location was moved following a fire that nearly destroyed it years ago. Visitors can also see a firecracker house next to the shrine where people often throw burning firecrackers during celebrations.
At a walking distance from old town, I visited in the evening. It closes at 8. Very beautiful decorated Chinese temple witnessing history of Phuket. There are statues of lions at the entrance of the main temple. These statues have rolling stone balls in their mouth. I wonder, how these balls are carved out inside the mouth. There is a huge long trunk of a tree kept horizontally with a garland on it. I could not get the significance of it.

Inside, you wander through several colourful halls with an array of deities, paintings and flags. It's beautiful and I felt so ignorant not knowing more about these religions, when I watched the devotees streaming in and out, shaking the "fortune sticks" and lighting incence sticks. The place is so rich in colour and symbolism. Amazing.

When visiting Phuket, a must-see is the Sino-Portuguese Architecture in the old town. These colorful three-storey narrow shop-houses are a blend of Chinese and European influences from the early 20th century. Similar architecture can be found in Penang, Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia. The buildings are adorned with vibrant colors and house numerous gift shops, cafes, and restaurants offering local delicacies.

The Phuket Philatelic Museum, located in a former post office building with Chinese and Portuguese architectural styles, offers a glimpse into Thailand's postal history. Divided into three areas, the museum features displays of vintage stamps, telegraph machines, old postal equipment, and antique office appliances. Visitors can learn about the development of the post office under King Rama V and purchase souvenir stamps from Thailand. This nostalgic journey through communication evolution is a must-visit for stamp enthusiasts and history buffs alike.
Stamp collectors, you need to stop in to the Post Office. The old Post Office next door is now a philatelic museum with some nice displays and a stamp collector library and a nice lady that will pull out a book of current issues. And sell you commemorative stamps
Steve J — Google review
Presented various stamps in Thailand and places of attractions. No one manning the location when I visited.
Vincent T — Google review
As a stamp collector it was a must visit for me. Interesting exhibits spoilt by the uncomfortable conditions. A working fan would have been appreciated. The building needs urgent repairs. Many containers on the floor to catch water from leaking roof. Very sad to see in such a bad state. It was free to visit but I would have gladly left a donation if it had been possible.
George H — Google review
Had some fun history of the postal service in Thailand. But the building itself is in need of repairs. Watch your footing as there are several places where the floor is giving in or tile is broken up. Unless you're really a postal service enthusiast I'm not sure it's worth your time. Also, know they close for lunch from 12-1pm.
Tiffany C — Google review
Beautifully restored old Phuket post office building and now converted into a philatelic museum. The front area is a parking lot so it ruins the view of this historic structure so wish they can create an alternative parking space to keep the facade and area more pristine. The new post office is just right beside the building so pop by the museum if you’re doing any mailing or business with the post office in the island.
Loven R — Google review
I had a disappointing experience visiting this museum. The museum is quite small, and you can easily see everything inside in just 5 minutes. But the lack of proper cooling made it unbelievably hot inside. All I could think about was how to leave there faster. Also the staff didn't seem friendly and showed no interest.
Julia S — Google review
It is right next to the postal office. Entrance is free. You can buy some nice collector's stamps here, there is no line. There are a bunch of exhibits here but no real stamps on display. Come here to buy local stamps instead of waiting on queue at the postal office.

The area boasts Sino-Portuguese mansions, Chinese shrines, and shophouses that have been refurbished into charming cafes, restaurants, and museums. The town is adorned with impressive mural paintings created by local and Thai artists.
If your into art and want to see other peoples talent this is the place to go and be swept off your feet by pure talent!!! Did get harassed by a man claiming to have come to Penang and did not have any money for him and his family and tried the water works. So be careful but enjoy yourself too.

If you had more than 24 Hours at Phuket this old town is a must visit place for you. You will remember the colours, street food and souvenirs and a lot of photos for your Instagram. Try to visit at times of low traffic and better take the trip on scooty with some local friends. I had a chance to visit the place soon after COVID-19 restrictions were lifted and had experienced the beauty to the core as tourists were not much and the area was clean and at pure form. Highly recommended in afternoon and evening time. The beauty can't be explained in words

(Translated by Google) This is a Romanesque building. It used to be the Standard Chartered Bank building. Now, it and the police station with a clock tower next to it have become landmark buildings in Phuket. The yellow facade of the building is very eye-catching. It is only two stories high, but the ceiling is very high and the sense of space is very strong. The light green stairs and blue doors and windows in the room are very high-end and not outdated today. The safe and safe that used to be a bank are still preserved inside. Now it is the Phuket Nyonya Cultural Museum and is open to tourists for free. Just report your nationality when you enter the door. The museum introduces the origin of Nyonya culture with pictures and texts. Although there are not many exhibits, it is highly interactive. There is a film machine for you to view old photos by yourself, there are picture cards that can be placed in the projector to understand Nyonya culture, and there are free costumes for taking photos.

I loved the place. We are two pensioners but our inner child came to life. It was so nice to take pictures. The lady came to assist us and she took the pictures. We really appreciated it. She even made some suggestions. Thanks for their kindness. The entrance fee for adults was 500 Baht.
Elna L — Google review
It's way cheaper if you buy your ticket on Agoda- we got 50% off for a non refundable ticket. We spend a good 3 hours taking photos. Took 1 stars off because my mom slipped as the floor was too slippery and hurt her back. Floor is too slippery, and wearing no socks doesn't help. Bring non-slip socks to wear as wearing shoes were not allowed. Another star off because there weren't any seating areas. Staff don't speak English, making communication difficult. It's fun to do with family & kids. I don't recommend elderlies unless they are fit. No elevators, you must be able to stand & walk.
Shubha B — Google review
We ended up going during a quiet time of the day and so we didn’t have any interference from other people at the museum which was good. We had our own personal guide throughout our journey in the museum, she showed us how to pose and where to stand, she took a picture of us at each artwork! The artworks are funny and great, and it’s a nice place for kids and adults. One downside is that there is not aircon inside, only fans, so you can get very hot very fast. Other than that, I think the entrance price of $15 is excellent, as we had our own guide who literally took all our pictures and I thought it was very worth it. I highly recommend to all travellers!
Johna M — Google review
Great for $15 per person 1500 THB per person. There were a alot of awesome things on display here. The artwork is really cool and interesting/ interactive. If you get a chance you should visit. You can also pay by card and they have free parking right out front of the Museum. Definitely worth stopping by and a great great place for kids. I can't stress that enough. Had fun today! Thanks!

We arrived in Phuket early evening, staying at the Royal City Phuket hotel and went out for a wander looking for some good Thai food. We were led to this place because of good reviews. We arrived about 7:30 pm - they close at 8:00 pm. It was completely dead in there, but they warmly welcomed us and we had lovely pad Thai, curry and Tom kha gai. This small park was created in honor of the 72nd birthday of Queen Sirikit. It is not as green as we would like, but on the green lawn, there are some beautiful trees and palms. There is a good playground for children and a clock tower. On major Chinese holidays, colorful fairs are held here. The pearl of this place is the statue of a golden dragon, which was also installed in honor of the queen. There is no special point in coming here to walk in the park, but coming here at the same time to take beautiful photos with the dragon is a good idea! In the evening, the backlight is turned on, the statue is greatly transformed and becomes more beautiful and majestic. Full information with video and easy navigation - in the 👉 PHUKETON application

The Thavorn Phuket Museum, located within a hotel undergoing renovations, offers a nostalgic journey into the 1960s with its collection of artifacts and furnishings. For an entrance fee of 50 baht, visitors can explore numerous rooms showcasing the history of the hotel, industry, mining, and an eclectic toy collection. Despite being dusty and featuring scattered English explanations, it provides insight into Phuket's tourism origins.
Very cool local history museum opened by a wealthy local family in the building of their centrally located hotel, first in Phuket town, that unfortunately did not survive Covid. Very extensive collection of local history artifacts and other exhibits carefully collected with love by few family generations.

Ticket fee was 120 per person. The museum isn’t that big, one section was still closed off. I feel like the 120 is a bit much, the inside was interesting tho sure, but it would have been nicer if we can at least exchange the ticket for a drink, like a bottle of water or a juice. The museum is connected to the cafe, Id recommend staying at the cafe instead.

The coffee shop is also the entrance to the Thavorn Museum, which is worth a quick visit if you're interested in history, 1960's decor, memorabilia, architectural details & curios. THB 120 entrance fee. There's an extensive display of artifacts covering everything from the hotel's history, tin mining, farming and lifestyle. We really enjoyed it.

Based in a rather delapidated hotel which is currently undergoing renovations, this museum costs 50 baht to enter and is spread over many rooms. It's easy to call this many small museums together. It tells the story of the hotel, industry, mining and has an ecclectic toy collection as well. Is probably the best value museum in Phuket and it's rather large in size from what you see outside. Note that it is dusty and there are some old English explanations scattered through the museum

One of Phuket landmarks. I took a video of traffic around the roundabout. It was almost 6pm on a weekday. The traffic was not too bad at all. All cars shared the way in a quite neat order. It was peaceful to stand by and observed the town.

Nice spot. Loud music, nice lights at night. Lovely old buildings. The clock tower itself is nice but the star of the show seems to be the junction. Reminded me of the Beatles one in Liverpool with everyone trying to time the traffic to get photos. You’re probably going to end up walking around here anyway when visiting old town so check it out. One star off because there’s too many cars. This whole old town but would be much nicer if it was restricted to deliveries or something and embraced the whole walking street. Walking in Thailand is unpleasant with sketchy pavements and no official right of way for pedestrians. I’m rambling.

Part of the old town is the Surin Clock Tower, a Sino-Portuguese style building erected here in 2003. Before that, there was a radio mast, which was dismantled for lack of use. Around the clock tower there are artificial ponds with fish, there are benches, and the area is landscaped. You should not come here on purpose, but walking around the old town and being here you can make beautiful photos and sit on a bench, watching what is happening around you. Just stumbled upon this amazing clock tower in Phuket Old Town, it's really charming! The architecture around it is so beautiful, with all those colorful Sino-Portuguese buildings. I spent a couple of hours just wandering around, soaking it all in, there are plenty of great cafes and shops nearby too. Definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the area, it's a lovely spot/area.

An unmissable landmark of old Phuket town. Everyone comes here love taking pictures with it. There's two of these in town one at a busy roundabout, and this one is near the Sunday walking street. You're sure to see it if you're on your way to the Sunday walking street.

Nestled on a spacious plot across from a school on Satun Road, the House of Tin Baron has transformed from an unsold property into a delightful Thai restaurant. This charming eatery boasts stunning decor and offers an impressive menu that features both traditional favorites and unique dishes. Guests rave about the exceptional food, particularly Chef Okan's Kiwami Wagyu beef tenderloin, which is truly a standout.
An exceptional dining experience! The ambiance is stunning, the service flawless, and the food a true work of art. Every dish was perfectly executed with fresh, high-quality ingredients. A must-visit for a special occasion or a luxurious night out. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended! Ambience 💯 food 💯 service 💯 It was a super elegantly and tasty restaurant! I can say it was probably the best restaurant we tried in Phuket! The restaurant set in the colonial style building and food was southern Thai style cuisine with bold and spicy taste. We couldn’t try few dishes as it was sold out but staffs accommodated our requests. It could be a great to place hold even private party as the restaurant was big and beautiful.
YJ K — Google review
It’s okay-ish. The vibe is super cool though, the building is very pretty and so is the territory, the only thing they could use is better indoor lighting. This is where the positive stuff stops. The food did not impress. It looks good but don’t expect anything spectacular, you can find better taste elsewhere. Plus, the portions are pretty small overall, especially for these prices. The service, however, is what led me to leave this below average rating - this part we didn’t like at all, it’s pretty bad. The waitress made multiple mistakes in our order (we asked for not spicy and she brought spicy, I ordered sausage and she brought fried rice and refused to believe that that’s not what I ordered - really, arguing with a client?), the steak was cold, the curry portion which the waitress told us would be enough for two people was tiny (this made us pretty angry), the food was not taken away promptly after being eaten, the waitress was just looking at her phone instead of attending to us. I put some of the stuff back myself to free the table. We had to call the manager (who was much more professional) to address the multiple issues we had. So, this restaurant does have potential, but the service is pretty horrible and the food is just average for the price. I definitely won’t come back and I can’t recommend this place at all.
Martyn S — Google review
Very tasty high level Thai cuisine at a good price. 👍 I ordered a spicy pamelo salad with salmon - it was an amazingly tasty dish and I was delighted with the taste😋 The style of the restaurant is impressive, beautiful design. The staff is very friendly and attentive to detail. I recommend ❤️

Food was very good but nothing special. Nothing special meaning the items on the menu can be found at other restaurants around town. Atmosphere excellent. Beautiful building. Service totally sucked. Receptionist greeted us with a frown, without a wai (Thai greeting) or a smile. Maybe she forgot that her job is not security but a receptionist.😄 Service at the table was no better than any other road side restaurant. We came for lunch on a weekday with one table of 3 people before us. Glasses were left dry. No ice offered. No asking if we would like to order drinks. Dirty plates/ cutlery weren’t offered to be change during the meal… ok, the cashier was the only one happy with her job. Luckily there’s no service charge, but the food wasn’t exactly cheap. So overall… OK! Ample parking under the sun.🥵🔥🌞

If you want to taste delicious Thai cuisine, it's the place for you! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is superfriendly. We enjoyed our meal -Squid in black ink herbal soup -Stir-fried Malindjo Leaves with Egg / Dried Shrimp -Southern Style Grilled Ribeye Steak -Signature Grilled Squid -Southern Curry with river snail -Deep Fried Pacific Mole Crab with Garlic -Crab and Corn Fritter All meals were presented beautifully and tasted delicious. The staff were great and warm smile is infectious making our dinning experience a memorable one. We worth the visit.

Please ask the staff for recommendations. They gave us a lot of suggestions and we tried everything which was excellent!!!! The signature dishes are to die for. But keep in mind they don’t serve alcohol between 2-5pm. Must visit when in old town!

Havnt been there since they renovated the place and had a big price raise. But in the past, it was an ok environment for the practice. The teacher I had (the only one who could speak English) didn’t have any enthusiasm for teaching. Every time she was with me, she seemed to be restless. Always came up with excuses to shorten the time she spent with me. So instead of getting 20 mins per class (1 hour shared between 3 students), I usually received about 12-15 mins. If you don’t speak Thai, I wouldn’t recommend you to go to this place for the lessons.
DOL A — Google review
In August 2024, my family was on vacation in Phuket. In this store, we decided to buy a new Yamaha snare drum for a child who is studying music. We brought it home and when the teacher began to tune the drum, it turned out that all the screws and lags were rusty from the inside. The drum cannot be used without replacing all the screws and lags. In Russia, I could not find such parts. I contacted this store with a letter so that they could at least find such parts for me, but no one has responded to it for a week.
Александр — Google review
Great facilities, great musical gear but the first lesson was met with an empty reception area, what looked like a customer answering the school phone and sundry staff walking around looking for someone to except us for my daughters first lesson. Not impressed. 10 minutes into our first lesson and I'm still sitting here. Oh wait the janitor is pointing me to someone. Update! The teacher is not even here!! He is at the Yamaha studio at Big C. Typical Phuket service, quick to grab your money but not to provide the service. Don't think we will be continuing this much beyond our paid lessons.

It's a nice museum and made better by the tour. I learned a lot of history. It's a good place to visit in combination with some of the other museums in the area. The first time I came, I thought it was closed because the door was shut. So I just went home. The second time I came I saw there was a doorbell. But nobody answered when I rang it. I had to call them in order for someone to show up. They also were only doing the tour before 11am. So I would recommend calling them in advance. It seems that they just take visitors once in a while and not every day.
