Beach is accessible through various town roads and an elevated highway will passing by the beach as part of Alappuzha bypass in order to preserve the beauty of the area.

So beautiful place to visit. The views are breathtaking. The beach as a whole is a calm and serene experience though tides can be huge during full moon. The beach is clean, though better efforts could be done to keep it clean. The place to change clothes and washrooms are okaish. They take 20 rupees just for changing and are not super well maintained. Food is nice here. Variety of veg as well as non veg dishes available. Recommended👍🏻

Comparitively the beach is less crowded during evening time but will be filled up quickly by 6pm. Easily accessible but i think there is no dedicated parking area. There are gaming area near to food street. Overall its a good spot to spend your evening.

The water is beautiful to look at, but not always ideal for swimming due to strong currents and the lack of lifeguard visibility at certain hours. Still, if you’re in Alleppey and want a peaceful walk, a breezy evening with chai, or a spot to watch a stunning sunset, the beach does deliver. Not extraordinary, but definitely pleasant enough for a relaxed few hours.

Visited Alappuzha Beach in the evening. It was a very active and lively beach. The weather was beautiful and pleasant when we visited. There are many coffee shops, cake shops,and restaurants located below the pine trees, creating a great vibe. You’ll need to park along the roadside under the N.H. overbridge.It’s a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends. oilet facilities are available, but they are not very clean. 🏖️ A truly beautiful beach with a refreshing atmosphere.

This is one of the most beautiful, serene and less crowded beach I have ever visited. The water is usually quite and it might surprise you with prettiest rainbow in the middle of nowhere as well. We also did a lot of shell hunting and found beautiful sea shells. There are beautiful cafes, small food joints along with the beach. You can visit with your family, friends and your partner and can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere around the beach. Make sure to not litter and be respectful and responsible towards the beach.

The view from the platform was amazing and they have maintained the place well but the fact that they only take cash is the downside. So we had to run around to find an atm and ultimately borrowed from another person who had come to visit. That made the experience not so pleasant. So would love to see upi options next time. Otherwise loved the place.

A unique experience. Climbing up the curved staircase of this light house is nothing short of an adventure. The feeling, when you reach the top, is amazing. The views from the top and the cool breeze make the the difficult climb totally worth the effort. Don't miss the tiny museum which is right next to the ticket counter.

We visited the Alappuzha Lighthouse on a rainy weekday, and despite the weather, it turned out to be a memorable experience. The climb to the top is via a narrow spiral staircase, which can be a bit challenging—especially for elderly visitors or those wearing sarees or skirts. So do keep that in mind while planning your visit. Entry is quite affordable: ₹20 for adults, ₹10 for senior citizens, and an additional ₹10 if you plan to take photos using your phone (which they’ll ask at the ticket counter). Once you reach the top, the panoramic view is absolutely worth the effort. From the lighthouse, you can spot the vast Arabian Sea, the elevated coastal highway, the tetra bridge, and the surrounding greenery of Alappuzha. The combination of misty rain and the scenic landscape made the view even more stunning. Overall, a must-visit spot in Alappuzha for history lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. Just be prepared for the stairs!

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Ravi Karunakaran Memorial Museum in Alappuzha, and it was truly a memorable experience. The museum showcases an extraordinary private collection that includes stunning Swarovski paintings, intricate ivory sculptures, and numerous exquisite works of art and craftsmanship. It’s fascinating to see such a vast and diverse collection — all curated by the late Ravi Karunakaran, a visionary industrialist and art enthusiast. The museum spans over 24,000 square feet across two floors, and each section is thoughtfully arranged. The staff members are knowledgeable and take the time to explain the details and history behind each artifact, which adds great value to the visit. The entire museum is, in fact, a love monument built by Betty, Ravi’s wife, which makes it even more special and heartfelt. However, a few aspects could be improved. The entry fee of ₹200 feels a bit high considering it’s a private collection, and it might make the experience less accessible for many visitors. Moreover, switching off the air conditioning and lights when the crowd is low can be disappointing and diminishes the comfort level of the visit. If such a charge is being maintained, allowing photography inside could make the experience more worthwhile and memorable. Overall, the Ravi Karunakaran Museum is a beautiful and culturally rich space that reflects a life devoted to art and elegance. I was doubtful after hearing the entry ticket of 200rs. But it was worthwhile. The collections in the museum spoke for themselves. The collection of Ivory items they had in this museum is astonishing. Must visit!

The place is an upper class like set up showcasing a wide variety of items from across the globe. The items are mostly the collection from one esteemed family based on Alappuzha. It is worth a visit once but don't necessarily have a rewatch scope. People with taste in history and art do have a scope of exploration in the place. The place has a good number of footfalls but the ticket rates are bit costly.

Revi Karunakaran Museum is a privately owned museum with an impressive collection of ivory works, paintings, coins, and various luxury artifacts. The exhibits are well displayed and offer a glimpse into art, culture, and heritage. However, I felt the entry fee was a bit on the higher side. Also, photography is not allowed inside. Overall, it is worth a visit if you appreciate detailed craftsmanship and historical collections.

Absolutely breathtaking! There are no words to describe the ivory artisan's skill on display. There were many other collections as well. We were a bit skeptical when we found out that the entry ticket cost ₹200, but after finishing the tour, we were awe-struck by the collection and understood that the higher entry price might have been set as a measure of crowd control. There are many fragile valuables inside.

We had booked a 2 bedroom private house boat for overnight stay with Waves & Dales. All throughout the process, Sachin was super helpful and patiently answered all our queries. The booking was seamless and the evening before they take driver contact details and co-ordinate for drop off location, which was very nice. On the day of the stay, Sachin greeted us and gave us a walkthrough of the house boat and introduced the staff members as well. The houseboat was beautiful and exactly as the pictures sent to us prior to booking. Both the rooms were spacious with huge beds and attached private bathroom. The dining space was huge and the rooftop was phenomenal where we spent most of our time lounging. The food on board was delicious kerala food. I made a special request for Karimeen Polichattu and Chicken Mappas and they accomodated that for a tiny additional charge. The staff is very polite and take thorough care of all our needs while on board. Food was served timely and was super tasty. All in all I highly recommend Waves & Dales to have a lovely houseboat stay in Allepey.

If you're looking for authentic houseboat experience, I highly recommend Waves and Dales. The experience throughout, from booking to checkout was top notch. Libin was very helpful in giving details of boat (exact images), cost, food, and the boat movement time. He also helped with nearby parking spot, and the boat was ready before scheduled checkin time. The staff on board was introduced. They were very courteous and friendly. After sunset ride we halted near a village, and did a small walk which was great. We were happy to have authentic Kerala food on board and it was delicious, both veg and non veg preparations. The vegetarian spread was very wide with 4 local vegetables, rotis, along with matta rice and dal. Non vegetarian had both chicken and fish. You can opt for regular food too. Dinner was typical 'Netflix and Chill', utilising the TV onboard. :) While returning in the morning we took a different route and it was very scenic with bigger canal. Breakfast was also served with Puttu and Kadala curry, along with a delicious omlette. Thank you for great hospitality and we look forward to visiting again!

Advice:- DONT BOOK WITH THEM. AC DOESN'T WORK AT NIGHT for customer room only works for staff 🙏 So I booked a private boat and the trip started well we were enjoying in the day time. The staff forgot some activities in between which they later arranged when I reminded them. Staff went out of the way to arrange beverages for us. But Now the main issue the AC did not work at night after 1AM. I asked the staff to fix it they fixed it and then again it was turned off after 30 minutes and then did not work at all. I was drenched in sweat it spoiled the good experience we had in the day time. The manager is now ignoring my messages on WhatsApp as I wanted to let him know about the issue but anyhow please consider booking with a good boat operator pay 1-2k extra but don't spoil your night. Also at night I saw a rat in the kitchen when I was trying my best to get the AC turned on. In Summary:- AC:-0/5 Food:-2/5 Support:- 3/5 Room and washroom cleanliness:-4/5 Speed boat activity:-5/5 Boat tour:-5/5 Posting the video with timestamp as well for proof if someone doesn't believe it. The operator told staff knows hindi the guy who knew hindi actually knew nothing 🤣

Open-Roof Sanctum: The main deity, Goddess Rajarajeswari, is housed under an open sky, which is rare in temple architecture. Other Deities: Apart from Rajarajeswari, the temple also has shrines for Lord Karthikeya, Lord Krishna, Lord Ayyappa, Lord Hanuman, and Nagaraja (serpent deity). There is one elephant also there in this temple.

I have been to Kerala many times but now it was time to come to Alapuzha. I came to this temple in the evening. It is a peaceful, beautiful and powerful temple. Men should wear a vest and not wear a shirt.

Major temple in Alappuzha town. The deity here is Goddess Durga. Vana Durga to be more specific. Located in the heart of Alappuzha town, this beautiful old temple attracts a large number of pilgrims from inside and outside Alappuzha. The ambience here is very cool and soothing even though located in a busy area. Lord Murugan, Krishna, Ganapati, Ayyappan, Nava grahas and Nagaraja are present as Upadevathas. The most important festival of this temple is the Malayalam month of Dhanu starts in the middle of December known as Mullackal Chirappu. A 11 day or sometimes 12 days festival which is famous in other districts also. The Kodiyett Ulsavam is during the Navaratri and is the first Temple Ulsavam in Alappuzha in the Malayalam year. This festival starts on Prathama and ends on the Vijayadasami day with Arattu at Pazhaveedu temple.

If you're a Hindu person or someone with deep respect for Hindu/Sanathan dharma traditions, this temple is worth a visit. It is a historic temple of the area with its own temple tank (pond) at the back. Photography isnt allowed inside temple Premises and other rules are prominently displayed near the FRONT entrance on the main street side (not the parking entrance side). Do please enter via main entrance and read the rules prior to entry try and adhere to them. I have only photos taken from the main street side.

The pizza was so delicious and with so many flavour could choose that we even visited the pizza hub. Owner Nejim Bro are always friendly, prices are reasonable and the spot is always kept clean.

We tried the beef steak and we found the beef pieces really rubbery and could not finish it. We also tried the Texas Junkyard burger which was really good. Overall it was okay and the restaurant staff apologize for the rubbery beef in steak and offered to replace it as well. But we didn't opt for it. Overall experience was decent. You have parking opposite to the restaurant they will reimburse you the parking amount.

Great to find this little gem.in the back streets of Alleppey. There is only so much curry a European can eat in 3 weeks so a refreshing change to get some good old burgers wings and American style food. Spotless clean , friendly. No alcohol shame as would have been great with a cold beer. Definitely worth a visit

A really nice place to hang out with friends and enjoy burgers, pasta, steak and more, if you're alone still don't worry they got a decent collection of books too,you can enjoy that too with their food. Service and behaviour towards the customer is also highlight of the spot, ambients and hygiene also have a great role. Me and my friends surely visit again. Try their food and I'm giving you my word that you'll never get disappointed. 💙

The best continental food so far I tried in Alappey! Visited the shop to try their signature dishes, due to the pandemic situation I opted for takeaway instead of dining. The cafe is managed by some.youngsters I think, but well managed and proper monitoring of all the departments Ordered items: Beef lasagne - Good 2x2 Chicken Burger - Best Mozzarella Stick - Good From the above, Chicken Burger remains my favourite, they said their beef burger is the best. Should try next time. Negative: Poor music system at cafe (music output from TV speakers is horrible) Lack of parking space for the car

Burgers are superb. Meat is well cooked and flavoured....not like the mallu style burgers you find here. Ambience and service have improved. They seem to be quite congested during the evenings as in lot of customers hang out. Needs to be more spacious. Drinks like frappe and mojitos are awesome. A decent good place to hang in for some good fries, Burger's, steaks and drinks.

Loved it, for a place in Alleppey.. I heard about this place and thought i need to definitely try it out for a change rather than hang on the usual regular dining places. The target was the steak and it was all over by then at 7pm so We were bang on for the burgers and it was YUuuummm…. I must say the pattys were well marinated and the preparation was perfect to make the burger go hmmmm crunch and juicy…. We had the Chicago cheese burger and Messi special burger.. Messi special burger was too good….though a special edition, feel it has to continue… The strawberry and tender coconut milk shake was too good… was quite sweet but not too much to take over the flavour.. The cheese fries was not upto the expectation.. too much of cheese and soggy fries… looked like the cheese slice was layered on top and microwaved.. Crispy fries with melted cheese on top with a dash of pepper or chilly flakes would have been perfect. I missed on the beef steaks and definitely gonna book my piece in the noon itself. The space: the entrance path dint give that vibe but on entering the ambience was good.. They have an open space on the top which is also great.. For sure this has to be in you to dine at Alleppey. The breakfast was excellent – everything was fresh, well-prepared, and had plenty of options on weekends. It was a relaxing and comfortable stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Even though they serve delicious food and we have been a regular customer for long time. The response from a staff from top bar for the complaint against beef hot and pepper beef was neglected. It was not well enough cooked, but he refused to change it. Poor service from that staff only.

One of the Star Hotels at Alleppey Town with lodging facility, restaurant and two medium size conference halls. Here rooms are very neat and clean. Food serviced is also good quality. One suggestion is that the reception staff should be neat and clean, with smiling face. But it was not there

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Royal Park, Alappuzha. The location is great—very close to the backwaters and other tourist spots. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and offered good comfort for the price. The staff were polite, responsive, and helpful throughout my stay. The food served at the restaurant was tasty and had a decent variety. Parking facilities and room service were also up to the mark. It’s a good choice for both families and solo travelers looking for a peaceful stay in Alappuzha. Overall, a comfortable and satisfying experience. Would recommend it to others visiting the area.

The quality and quantity of the food is very good. The interior ambience is very beautiful. The food is very tasty. There is a wide variety of food items available, from which one can choose according to their preference. We had Arabian style Al-Faham and Fish Sizzler here for lunch, and both were very good. And for dinner at night, we go there again and took Kerala Paratha, Noor Paratha, and Butter Al-Faham as a takeaway (parcel). It is very close to Alleppey Beach, just 2 to 3 km only.

It’s hard to put into words how exceptional both the food and the service were at this restaurant. We’re genuinely sorry we discovered this gem only on the last day of our trip. We had the Elayil Prawns Thengapal and the Naymeen Tengapal, and before that the Kayal Chemeen soup — and it’s honestly difficult to say which one was better. Each dish was outstanding in its own way. Highly recommended!

One of the best Kunafa 5/5 I have had in India. We ordered: - Ammachi Chicken fry 2/5 - Kerala Paratha 3/5 We ordered a prawn and fish dish attached photos for reference, it was not wow or amazing. It wasn't overall that great since most dishes weren't satisfactory, it's not that it wasn't fresh or tasted really bad. It just wasn't good enough. Expected better.

A bit hesitant at first given they serve multiple types of cuisines, we mainly had Indian food and it was so good - chicken was very tender, and the parathas were so delicious. Didnt get a photo but the Arabic cheese Kunafa for dessert is a must try - it was just so tasty I couldnt have enough of it. The portion is quite big though so definitely recommend sharing

One of the best restaurants in Allepey. I almost ate everyday for the days I was there. The nal parotha, Malabar curry, the hummus pita and the prawns dynamite was really really good. I almost ate nal parota everyday. The soup had a different take which was served in a crusted bread. Highly recommend this!

We start with chicken sour and fried rice ,noodles Main course Pal paratha and butter Al- faham ,chicken schezwan . The food is decent taste i recommend chiken noodels very tasty we get nice dinner their the pal paratha is very heavy we can't finish that at the end .
