Visited Alappuzha Beach in the evening. It was a very active and lively beach. The weather was beautiful and pleasant when we visited. There are many coffee shops, cake shops,and restaurants located below the pine trees, creating a great vibe. You’ll need to park along the roadside under the N.H. overbridge.It’s a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends. oilet facilities are available, but they are not very clean. 🏖️ A truly beautiful beach with a refreshing atmosphere.

Gorgeous long beach on the Arabian sea... perfect for walking. Big waves. Lots of small stalls/shops along the way.. Jet skiing, quads and speed boat trips on beach.. very cheap approx €6 for jet skiing.

I was doubtful after hearing the entry ticket of 200rs. But it was worthwhile. The collections in the museum spoke for themselves. The collection of Ivory items they had in this museum is astonishing. Must visit!

Could have been more better, though the collection is good, no one is there to properly explain about each item, which is on display. Also the price per one person is 200 which is very high. Didn't feel worthy. Monday is holiday. Open 9 Am to 5 Pm everyday except Monday. Photography is not allowed inside.

The place is an upper class like set up showcasing a wide variety of items from across the globe. The items are mostly the collection from one esteemed family based on Alappuzha. It is worth a visit once but don't necessarily have a rewatch scope. People with taste in history and art do have a scope of exploration in the place. The place has a good number of footfalls but the ticket rates are bit costly.

Revi Karunakaran Museum is a privately owned museum with an impressive collection of ivory works, paintings, coins, and various luxury artifacts. The exhibits are well displayed and offer a glimpse into art, culture, and heritage. However, I felt the entry fee was a bit on the higher side. Also, photography is not allowed inside. Overall, it is worth a visit if you appreciate detailed craftsmanship and historical collections.

Excellent collection of artifacts well maintained. The guides posted at the exhibits could have been better in describing the details about unique exhibits rather than standing and simply pointing visitors to move through the gallery. The one negative shade is the exorbitant admission fee of two hundred rupees along with a strict no photography rule imposed as well. That's why i have deducted a star from the rating. The other government historic monuments across the state charge a quarter price only when compared to the charges here. They allow photography too. Time pass for traveler's strolling around Alapuzha for an hour or so.

If you're in Alleppey, it's a good way of spending your day exploring this museum. The staff is very cooperative and friendly, in terms of any queries or curiousity about the museum. You can also visit the actual training area within the museum campus where the coir fibres are being woven.

Interesting museum, fascinating to see what can be made from the humble coconut. Quite small and so it was over quickly. I would have liked more detailed information on the exhibits and was disappointed there was no gift shop.. Also no cash or card payments were allowed which is a problem for tourists Luckily our tuktuk driver paid on Google pay and we reimbursed him.

This international court museum is a good place to know about the history especially for the kids. They have the coir making machine of different ages. Various products made out of coir are also beautifully exhibited. Very small museum and can be covered by half an hour.

U ique Gallery that chronicles the early history of the coir industry. Large old photographs of the British pioneers to various crafts, early machinery to the latest contractions of how coir is made are on display. Interesting, very interesting

Located on the national highway, the Coir museum is a good place to learn about the coir industry and history and multiple applications, good learning experience for the children and adults as well.

The museum was well maintained with products made of coir and the machines used to make it. It can definitely be visited along with the family for 20 minutes.

Visited the International Coir Museum at Apoor, Kalavoor recently. The museum primarily offers displays of coir products, but there were no guides available to provide explanations or insights about the exhibits. We purchased tickets for the visit, and while the museum is clean and organized, the collection of coir arts was not very large during our visit. Interestingly, they also sell ice creams inside the museum, which was a nice treat for children. Despite the limited exhibits, children enjoyed the visit and found the displays interesting. The museum is decent for a short visit, especially for families with kids who want to get a basic idea of coir products and local crafts. Overall, it’s worth visiting if you are in the area, but don’t expect a very detailed or extensive coir collection. Having a guide or more information about the exhibits would definitely enhance the experience.

The view from the platform was amazing and they have maintained the place well but the fact that they only take cash is the downside. So we had to run around to find an atm and ultimately borrowed from another person who had come to visit. That made the experience not so pleasant. So would love to see upi options next time. Otherwise loved the place.

We visited the Alappuzha Lighthouse on a rainy weekday, and despite the weather, it turned out to be a memorable experience. The climb to the top is via a narrow spiral staircase, which can be a bit challenging—especially for elderly visitors or those wearing sarees or skirts. So do keep that in mind while planning your visit. Entry is quite affordable: ₹20 for adults, ₹10 for senior citizens, and an additional ₹10 if you plan to take photos using your phone (which they’ll ask at the ticket counter). Once you reach the top, the panoramic view is absolutely worth the effort. From the lighthouse, you can spot the vast Arabian Sea, the elevated coastal highway, the tetra bridge, and the surrounding greenery of Alappuzha. The combination of misty rain and the scenic landscape made the view even more stunning. Overall, a must-visit spot in Alappuzha for history lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. Alappuzha Beach is truly a gem! The beach is super clean, and the sunset views are just magical. We hadn’t planned to visit it during our Kerala trip, but since we had time, we went - and yes, you have to climb stairs, but the view of the city and beach from the top is incredible

I have been to Kerala many times but now it was time to come to Alapuzha. I came to this temple in the evening. It is a peaceful, beautiful and powerful temple. Men should wear a vest and not wear a shirt.

Located in the heart of Alappuzha town, this beautiful old temple attracts a large number of pilgrims from inside and outside Alappuzha. The ambience here is very cool and soothing even though located in a busy area. Lord Murugan, Krishna, Ganapati, Ayyappan, Nava grahas and Nagaraja are present as Upadevathas. The most important festival of this temple is the Malayalam month of Dhanu starts in the middle of December known as Mullackal Chirappu. A 11 day or sometimes 12 days festival which is famous in other districts also. The Kodiyett Ulsavam is during the Navaratri and is the first Temple Ulsavam in Alappuzha in the Malayalam year. This festival starts on Prathama and ends on the Vijayadasami day with Arattu at Pazhaveedu temple.

If you're a Hindu person or someone with deep respect for Hindu/Sanathan dharma traditions, this temple is worth a visit. It is a historic temple of the area with its own temple tank (pond) at the back. Photography isnt allowed inside temple Premises and other rules are prominently displayed near the FRONT entrance on the main street side (not the parking entrance side). Do please enter via main entrance and read the rules prior to entry try and adhere to them. I have only photos taken from the main street side.

A very enjoyable trip on a boat with two private rooms. You can take a one-day tour with food and air-conditioned rooms. The team we went with was very nice, but it is not recommended for those who suffer from sea or water sickness, but the place and the experience are worth it.

God’s own country truly justified. Backwater’s beauty is really good. There are government boat available from Jetty. Private boat also available, rate may vary season wise. If you want to explore narrow canal, then rent small boat. Rate 800 per hour. But, narrow canal view is really mind blowing.

Before exploring Kerala i thought this would be the best compared to munnar, but it's too hot at this place and a lot of mosquitoes at night where the house boat is parked. I don't recommend a single room house boat , prefer deluxe boats with 3-4 rooms unless your priority is privacy. House boats roam for 1-2 hours and later park at a place and they don't cover large areas and won't stop at places we want. If you want to roam a specific area you need to take small boats to take control of places to see. My dinner plan at the boat was upset, I couldn't capture pics at that lighting and we can't have a peaceful dinner due to a lot of mosquitoes. I suggest taking mini boats for roaming and book a good resort and have a peaceful dinner near the pool. If you want to stay at a house boat compulsory then book a shared boat with 3 or 4 rooms for a low cost compared to a single room one and pre discuss what they cover and where they will take

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chilled Out Day at Alleppey Backwaters – With Office Colleagues Hi all, Me and my office colleagues had a fun trip to Alleppey Backwaters! We were staying at Ernakulam, and from there we visited Fort Kochi and rented bikes to ride down to Alleppey — the ride itself was exciting! 🛵🌴 We took a small boat ride through the backwaters. At first, it was really thrilling, but after some time, the slow pace made some of us feel sleepy 😅. Still, it was peaceful and relaxing. The best part? The boat driver stopped mid-way where there are small floating shops! We tried masala soda there — it gave us a sudden energy boost! 💥🧊 After that, we requested the driver to drop us back quickly because we were all super hungry. We headed straight to Aramana Restaurant for some good food. Overall, a great experience with lots of laughs and good memories. Just a tip: bring some snacks and music if you're planning a long boat ride 😄

Alappuzha is a prominent tourist destination in Kerala. Nice experience. We were the only family in boat . So enjoyed solitude . Good food . Smiling chef / guide / waiter . One man in all roles . Air conditioned room / dining room . Pleasant deck . Water looked dirty . Otherwise good experience for family / friends holiday

My grandma enjoyed visiting the park but it needs some maintenance. 20/- bucks for adults, but mainly geared towards little kids and seniors for a relaxed time. Some things in the park are broken, and some attractions require extra payment. They have a small cafe and a gaming spot that attracts teens. Keep in mind that most rides come with an additional cost. Overall, it's a family-friendly place, perfect for a day out, but an upgrade is needed!

I do not recommend this place, especially for families with young children. The staff, particularly in the amusement area, were unprofessional and rude, showing little regard even toward kids. The overall service was extremely poor. The amusement park inside does not accept convenient payment options such as GPay, which makes transactions difficult. Moreover, the rides are not well-maintained—many are chipped, broken, or appear unsafe for children. Cleanliness and safety standards seem to be completely neglected, which is concerning when families are paying ₹50 per ride. As a parent, I strongly advise against bringing children under 10 years old here, as both the facilities and staff attitude fail to ensure a safe or enjoyable experience.

Worst park ever… please don’t waste your time coming here. Some staff members are polite, but most of them behave as if visitors are disturbing their free time. Especially the lady at the ticket counter—she is extremely rude, unprofessional, and carries a pathetic attitude. Instead of welcoming customers, she treats them with arrogance and disrespect. With such behavior, no one would ever want to come back. Even if the park is not maintained properly, people may adjust if the staff are kind and helpful. But when the person sitting inside the counter behaves in such a hostile and unfriendly manner, it completely ruins the experience. If the management has no intention of improving this place and wants it to turn into an abandoned park, then keeping such an employee is the fastest way to achieve that. This park near Alappuzha Beach has the potential to be a wonderful attraction, but in its current state—with poor maintenance and shockingly bad staff behavior—it is nothing short of a disgrace.

Visited vijay park with my wife and 01 year daughter... Feels like they don't even concerned on safety.. proper lights are not there ... Also no special rides, still.having conventional items... Better don't go here with kids .. Not properly maintained...

A pretty well maintained park with a bounty of activities. The focus is on tots and kids. There is a rising bull, dashing cars, children's play equipments, skating, ATV rides, boating in the pool and more. Attached to it is the amaze world which hosts another set of electronically controlled games and activities which includes a 9-D Theatre, rides, arcade, food court, toy train and more. Being located on the shores of the sprawling and lengthy Alappuzha beach, the park presents an immense potential to draw in crowd.

Entry fee is nominal. Each ride will cost you Rs50/-. Visit during evening hours for better experience for kids.

This is one of the best spots to chill in Alappuzha, especially for families. Great place to spend time with family. The 12D cinema can be a bit scary for small children... however rest of the rides are good. The only issue we found was the toilets not secure, and not very clean. Apart from that its a lovely place to spend the day...

Excellent places for kids physical activities and boating. Close to Alleppey beach, so one can plan and spend the afternoon here boating and with kid's activities and then go to the beach at sunset time. You get excellent milk shakes and tea here. My daughter enjoyed the activities here.

Beach is accessible through various town roads and an elevated highway will passing by the beach as part of Alappuzha bypass in order to preserve the beauty of the area.

So beautiful place to visit. The views are breathtaking. The beach as a whole is a calm and serene experience though tides can be huge during full moon. The beach is clean, though better efforts could be done to keep it clean. The place to change clothes and washrooms are okaish. They take 20 rupees just for changing and are not super well maintained. Food is nice here. Variety of veg as well as non veg dishes available. Recommended👍🏻

As usual a good beach with lot of amenities around. Good picture points throughout. Sunset view is very beautiful as you can see the SUN dipping into the sea. Very long beach. Little dirty as people coming keep littering on the beach. Good food available both on the beach and off the beach. Parking is little mess as it is available on the roadside. Plus there is a parking space on the opposite side of the road also. Weekends are usually very busy.

Comparitively the beach is less crowded during evening time but will be filled up quickly by 6pm. Easily accessible but i think there is no dedicated parking area. There are gaming area near to food street. Overall its a good spot to spend your evening.

Jayan provided us with the best and kindest Shikara Driver. The rates were economical and more importantly, transparent. The shikara stopped at a local restaurant also where you can get a wholesome simple meal and freshly made fishes.

By far the best shikara in the Area. The shikara is not only well maintained, Jayan is a wonderful boatsman and takes you on a relaxed smooth ride, most importantly he's also very knowledgeable about the area. Will recommend anyone to take Sathgamaya if they are looking for a leisurely ride around the Punnamada Lake. Try to do an early morning cruise or the sunset cruise to enjoy less heat and cool winds

We had a very pleasant and joyful 6 hour shikara ride with Jayan, who alongwith steering the boat smoothly, proved to be a great guide. Value for money.

It was undoubtedly a wonderful experience. We went through small villages and paddy fields and entered the largest fresh water lake in India. Jayan the owner was very friendly and explained us about all the important places through out the ride. 3 hours ride just went off so quickly.. We halted at a good restaurant to have lunch where food was amazing..

It was a great Shikara ride with Mr Jayan .3 hr Route was amazing. Boat was neat and clean . Jayan is calm , decent and gentle human . He clicked some amazing photographs of us . Will be there again for a longer ride .

My experience with them was good, my wife really loved the shikara boat concept , was very reasonable price for 3 hours. We stopped at a restaurant for lunch & a toddy place where we had toddy . The owner came to see us off while we left and made sure that everything was okay. Very courteous of him to do so. I would recommend BEYOND SIGHT .

Superb place for evenings and Sundays I live here and this is a place where most of the people there gather or spend their free time . This is a awesome place. If you want peace and vibe this place is best for you. And it's not an tourist attraction place it's just a normal local beach in our Village . Most of the people live here by fishing and this beach provide the wage for them to live and this place is a masterpiece for all the peoples out there

On walking from vandanam beach to paravor Harbour i came across the punnapra beach The place is blessed with natures beauty The wave have their way of telling the natures beauty The punnapra beach has a lots of boats that are manimy used for fishing purpose And there are mangroove forest near the punnapra beach which adds to the natures beauty of that place The place is not suitable for family and the kids there is no security or life guard in case of accidents the place is ideal for boys and there gathering and mens for spending some lone time

Punnapra Beach is a serene getaway famous for its golden stretch of sand and pristine waters. It is an isolated beach and doesn?t have a lot of visitors. It is, therefore, preferred for tourists looking for a romantic holiday away from the chaotic city life.

Not much of a beach. It's actually a fishing harbor. So many boats are here on the shore. The tides are high so that it's not so safe to play here. The sunset is quiet beautiful and not so crowded.

A null crowded beach in allapuzha.. they are used by fisherman 🎏... Cleanliness is appx. acceptable .. people are allowed to visit..

We had an excellent time on the 7 hour kayaking tour, with Samson as our guide. He was very friendly, attentive, and had boundless knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area! He was telling us all about the different birds and fruit trees all around us. He was a great guide and took us around some beautiful parts of the backwaters. We did a mix of kayaking and motoring on the Shikara, which was great for allowing breaks between kayaking sessions. Included in the price was a decent enough breakfast and lunch.

I had read a lot of reviews for kerala kayaking (Mr. Samson is the guide). We had taken an early morning tour at 6:30 am. When you go make sure you wear clothes that dry quickly and avoid exposing body. Samson is one experienced man and he is such an excellent tour organiser. He took us through the narrowest of backwaters possible. We got to see the parts of Alleppey that cannot be seen by road. Women washing their laundary, Children having their morning bath, birds fishing, houseboats going by. backwaters, wide, small, busy, deserted.. you will have a taste of it all. We were provided with breakfast (included in the package of 2000 per head, and they provide the pick-up and drop too) at a local place. It was too small, you cannot even call it an eatery but the breakfast was great. Everything about the tour is local. It drips culture. We enjoyed every bit of it. If you are reading this Samson, You are doing an awesome job out there. The only sad part I found was there was not one Indian on the tour apart from us. People around the world come and seek such adventures on our land and we remain ignorant. PS: You will find it physically tough to row in the beginning if you have never done kayaking before but it is a 4 hour long tour and you will get used to it in a short time and start enjoying so much

Great day out with Kerela Kayaking! Samson is a great guide and tailor makes the day for you. He’s full of fascinating info about the waterways, wildlife, plant life and all things Kerela and India in general. On the Kayaks you get to explore the smallest of backwaters and really see local life. We stopped for a delicious lunch at a small restaurant on the waterways and then later on in the afternoon some great snacks. A motorboat meets you along the way to give you a break from the kayaking and the sun and heat which is a great touch. Would highly recommend a tour with these guys! We had a great day and again Samson is a credit to the tour 👌🏼

Fantastic experience. We took the 11-6pm kayaking trip and it was amazing. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable about local culture and wildlife - the kayaking routes we took were all incredible ... really small little canals full of village life. My wife and 4 year old son came along too and all thoroughly enjoyed it although they did opt to rest in the support boat for one of the trips. We all agreed this was the best thing we'd done in India during the whole holiday.

The experience was wonderful, great to see the backwaters from the kayak. We were picked up on time for the morning sunrise trip and taken to the location for the activity. We felt safe with Sam, he is very experienced and knowledgable of the local area. He provided good nuggets of information of the areas we kayaked around, wildlife and plants/trees. We would recommend this activity for those who want a more personal experience of the backwaters compared to doing the houseboats and for those who aren’t afraid of doing some exercise. It is a better environmentally friendly way to experience the backwaters too! Improvements: their website could be updated, a quick health and safety talk prior to jumping in the kayaks may have been useful & that gentle arms stretches prior to starting the activity would have been useful :)

Kayaking through the kerela backwaters offers a real insight into the daily life in backwaters. The company offers two type of kayaking packages; a four hour tour and a 7 hour tour. We did the four hour tour. Kayaking through the small canals offers a insight of the local life in backwaters that can't be experienced in a big boat. The tour guide is a very nice guy, very helpful and friendly. You also get to have breakfast at a local restaurant which is a very good experience.

One of the best experiences of Kayaking provided by them. I enjoyed the environment, greenery and commentary of Samson. I am so happy to have done it in life and look at the sunset early morning. Definitely worth doing in life
