Kanagawa Prefectural Shonan Coast Park is a stunning destination that offers a delightful blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. Stretching from Kamakura to Chigasaki, this long beach park is renowned for its vibrant surfing scene, making it a hotspot for both seasoned surfers and beginners alike. The picturesque backdrop of Enoshima Island enhances the experience, especially during sunset when the sky transforms into a canvas of colors with Mt. Fuji standing majestically in the distance.
Ideal for a walk along the beach. In winter you can see a beautiful Mount Fuji.

We watched the sun set over Mt Fuji, with surfers swimming in the sea. It was truly an amazing sight, I think it might be the best sunset I've seen in a long time! There's free toilets as well (not super clean, but they do the job).

My family loves visiting Enoshima and the Mon' Ocean Beach Front House was very nice to stay in after a long day at the beach. The beds were very big and comfortable, the kitchen area was very modern and cute, and my family enjoyed the surfboards. I especially loved how close the house was to the beach, just a couple minute walk away.
Sarah R — Google review
I felt really lucky that day because the weather was so clear I could see Mt. Fuji against a breathtaking sunset. It was a magical 20 minutes that I’ll remember for a long time. If you visit Kamakura, I recommend staying until sunset—or even booking a night nearby to really enjoy it.
PREEN Z — Google review
Nice beach to spend the day away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and Yokohama. Beautiful view on Mt Fuji. It's also nice to take a longer walk along the promenade towards Enoshima whereas the closer you get towards Enoshima area the more crowded it gets.

Beautiful beach spot, you can see the lovely Fuji San 🗻

Great place to get in the ocean and there is also food/drink options along the shore. The water isn't clear but only because of the volcanic ash so don't let that put you off. (There is a little bit of plastic in the water though when I was there)

Athletic field
Lemon Gas Stadium Hiratsuka, formerly known as Shonan BMW Stadium Hiratsuka, is a track and field stadium in Hiratsuka City and serves as the home ground for Shonan Bellmare. It's conveniently located near Hiratsuka Station, with various sports facilities and open spaces nearby. While it's about a 30-minute walk from the station, taking a bus might be delayed due to traffic.
Nice stadium with around 22000 seats! Party with a roof and rest was open. It is an Olympic stadium so not only for soccer. I enjoy the day and watch the local soccer team
Frank W — Google review
Home is Shonan. Great vibe at stadium feels like a J2 or J3 stadium with fan support of a J1 club. The local beers sold outside are quite tasty and a definite treat.
Bill G — Google review
A great place to see J-League matches. The stadium is so bad that it is good.
Stuart W — Google review
If you go there for a football match, I would recommend to walk instead of taking a bus. The stadium located about 30min walk from the station but the bus might be stuck in jam due to narrow roadway. And I recommend you to get there about 30 mins before the kickoff time since you may want to spend some time in the park where there are lots of food trucks. Fun!
Haruka U — Google review
I went several times to Shonan BMW Stadium Hiratsuka to watched football matches of Shonan Bellmare for their home game. It's quite close to the Hiratsuka Sta. only for about 8 minutes from Hiratsuka Station to Sogo Koen (the nearest bus stop to the stadium). Around the Stadium, they have Baseball Stadium, Outdoor Basketball court, open space park, and many others to be enjoyed individually, with friends or with family.

Super public bath
Syokudo and Teishoku restaurant
Yunokura Garden, a highly regarded public bath facility, offers a diverse array of bathing options in an immaculate and spacious setting. The delectable cuisine served here is also commendable. Given that everything caters to the Japanese culture, having rudimentary knowledge of the language would be indispensable for visitors. The rates charged are reasonable, and the hot springs deliver excellent quality, predominantly enjoyed by local residents. Accessing this establishment conveniently requires one to have access to private transportation.
fair price, good quality of hot spring, usually for locals. Need a car to be here.
Google review
Cash only and pricey for what it is. 1000 yen without towels. Better places that charge 1000 yen give towels for that price. Inside the food is expensive as well and not good. We ordered a dish that looked good in the menu, but we got a little peace of chicken over a very greasy bed of rice. My family and I felt robbed. If you can find another place, you better do.
Susana K — Google review
Cannot recommend for foreigners. I went yesterday and woke up itchy. There are various baths but the micro bubble big and private tub baths and cold baths are best. However, their is no English posted or spoken throughout the facility except a sign that says ' don't use your smart phone in the locker room.' Vending machines have hundreds of buttons, all in Japanese. There is s shuttle bus but the driver did not have validated ticket so he actually went back to get it. It was like a bad comedy. Total nonsense. Really? Shuttle Schedule is limited so makes it even worse.

Indonesian restaurant
Cinta Jawa Cafe Hiratsuka is a top-notch Indonesian eatery in the Kanto Area, offering delicious and authentic Indonesian cuisine that stays true to its roots, without catering to Japanese tastes. The prices are very reasonable and the staff members are all friendly and accommodating. Although it's located slightly out of the way, this doesn't deter regular patrons from frequenting the restaurant. For fans of Indonesian food, this place is an absolute must-try.
This time, I ordered Ayam Bakar and Sate Kulit Ayam. They were delicious. A few times a year, I come here and order something different. For me, all of it is good to my taste.
Primasari P — Google review
One of the Indonesian restaurants or food shops in Japan, near Hiratsuka Station, serves various typical Indonesian dishes at prices that are not cheap but are still affordable and the taste is not disappointing.
Andre I — Google review
I had the pleasure of dining at Cinta Jawa Cafe Hiratsuka not once, but twice, and both visits left me truly impressed. The star of the show for me was undoubtedly their Beef Rendang. It was an explosion of flavors, perfectly tender, and richly spiced. The authenticity of the Indonesian cuisine they offer here is remarkable. Beyond the mouthwatering Beef Rendang, the overall menu is a delight for anyone who appreciates Indonesian flavors. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The staff was friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. I can't recommend Cinta Jawa Cafe Hiratsuka enough for its amazing food and warm atmosphere. If you're a fan of Indonesian cuisine, this place is a must-visit!

This fast-food gem is celebrated for its towering burgers and diverse meal combos that are sure to satisfy any craving. Whether you’re indulging in their crispy bacon cheeseburger or trying out the unique lettuce-wrapped options for a healthier twist, each bite bursts with flavor without being overly greasy.
Have been waiting to come here for a long time! One of the best burgers I have eaten in Japan. Perfect flavors, not too greasy but full of flavor. Very good price for quality. Also if you download Line you get free drink or fries.

Good taste. Bacon cheeseburger had crisp bacon which is hard to find here. Crisscross fries are hard to find as well. I had Nacho ones with cheese, guacamole, chili and jalapeños. Salt caramel shake as well. It was too small. Too expensive, over ¥3,000, but it’s my birthday! Reminds me of my SoCal trips.

My wife and I went there with two kids and it cost us around 4000 yen for burgers, fries. I had t he double 'famous star' which was a quite good volume for me, and the taste was not so bad.

The world famous Carl's Jr (Hardie's in middle East) is in Japan now! This place offers the best (fast food) burgers i've tried. For people following low carbs diet you can even try lettuce wrapped burgers which is a little hard to hold but a little bit healthier than normals. I like the food here that i take a 35mins drive to this place to eat sometimes.

Pretty Average. They hid the Double Western. Diluted the “Free Refill” soft drink bar with diluted cola—JUST LIKE IN CALIFORNIA. Too overpriced, these Japanese operators are getting desperate.

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Komayama Park (Shonandaira), then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Hiratsuka Park Petting Zoo. All together, your day would be filled with about 6 hours of non-stop fun.

Park
Nestled atop the Shonandaira plateau, Komayama Park is a delightful hilltop retreat that stands 180 meters above sea level. This beloved destination in Hiratsuka City boasts breathtaking 360-degree views of iconic landmarks such as Mount Fuji and Sagami Bay. Visitors can explore two expansive observation decks—one located on the TV tower and another at the Koraizan Park Rest House—making it an ideal spot for panoramic photography or simply soaking in nature's beauty.
Very nice view mountain and pacific ocean at a time, and parking is free. Have watch tower, city view, ice cream shop and watch tower. There is a small play ground for the children.

What a fantastic place. There are two ways you can walk to the top of the Hill, both giving you a different perspective of the surrounding area. My partner and I very much enjoyed the surrounding nature also, we found many bug's and Creatures... Including a lizard 🦎 The cafe in the tower is great also although it can be a little busy depending on the day that you go. You can sit and have a bite to eat as well as a view. 🍨

Great viewing platform with free Telescopes. Nice views of the coast, Its possible to see the Tokyo landmarks (Sky tree and buildings) in the distance. The hike from the station is a little hard to find but does not disappoint once you find it. There is a Hawaiian Cafe at the top of the Mountain and the plate lunches are exactly the same as you would get in Hawaii!

Came here as part of a hike. The trail starts from Oiso Station and takes around 2 hours. Beautiful park with a relaxed atmosphere. You’ll find a restaurant and a shop selling snacks, too.

I was brought here by my exchange family twice in July of 2017. The first time I wet here it was cold and rainy so I requested to be brought back on a nicer day and the view was spectacular! You could see for miles and a little gift shop was open on our second visit. Not only are we allowed to climb the observation deck we are also allowed to climb the radio tower as another observation deck which we did on the cloudy day. There is also a little play area for children to enjoy. Definitely one of my absolutely favourite places in Japan and I do plan on returning to this spot in the future.

Great trail. The best thing about it is that you may have many different paths to venture through. And there's a store at the top of the mountain. Support fun and a wonderful place you may take.

Observation deck
Nestled in the lush greenery of Shonandaira, the Komayama Park Rest House Observation Deck offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and sightseers alike. This modern facility boasts a stunning 360-degree panoramic view that stretches from the Izu Peninsula to Sagami Bay, encompassing breathtaking sights like Mt. Fuji and the Hakone Mountain Range on clear days. Whether you're visiting during cherry blossom season or enjoying a serene night view, this observation deck promises beautiful scenery year-round.
You can get here by bus . It's free. No entrance fee . Best to go to the observation deck to see 360 view and Mt Fuji . Bring water and sunblocks. Also be mindful it's windy and mind your steps . It's a great place to visit . Nice view and worth it . Visit the restaurant. Delicious food and a good view . I order chili chicken burger and coffee macha

There is a shop on the first floor and a restaurant on the second floor. There is also a telescope that you can see for free, and if the weather is nice, you can see not only Yokohama's Landmark Tower, but also the Sky Tree and Tokyo Tower. Hachimanyama Park is a delightful green space nestled next to the Hiratsuka Hachimangu Shrine, offering a perfect escape for relaxation. With its expansive lawns dotted with benches, it's an ideal spot to unwind or enjoy a picnic. Families will appreciate the playground featuring slides and swings for children. The park also boasts a charming rose garden in front of the former Yokohama Rubber Western-style building, which bursts into color during May and October, although various flowers bloom throughout the year.

(Translated by Google) When I went there, there were still cherry blossoms left. The Cenotaph of Peace, Hiratsuka Hachiman Shrine, and the former Yokohama Rubber Hiratsuka Factory Memorial Museum (Western-style building on Mt. Hachiman) are located on the same site. Since it was the end of the flower season, there weren't many people, so we had a relaxing afternoon. Not too big, just the right size. The well-kept flower beds with tulips and other flowers were beautiful, but it looks like hydrangeas will also be blooming in the upcoming season. This time I mainly visited the Western-style houses in Mt. Hachiman, but next time I would like to see the hydrangeas and experience the surrounding cultural facilities as well. Hiratsuka Museum of Art is located in the cultural hub of Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa. The Shonan area has been home to many influential artists since the Meiji Era. For instance, Kamakura was where the influential magazine Shirakaba was developed, and Kugenuma was where Ryusei Kishida pursued a new style of oil painting.
The place is great and if you're passionate about art this place is for you.

If you use the parking ticket machine inside the facility, you can get up to 90 minutes free of charge. I was surprised at how magnificent the building was. When I looked it up on the website, I found a discount ticket, so I was able to enter the temporary exhibition and permanent exhibition at a slightly cheaper price. After all, The Cabin Campany's exhibits and enthusiasm are amazing. Picture books, paintings, three-dimensional works, installations, each of the seven rooms had its own charm, and I was overwhelmed by the fun and impressive features. I take my hat off to the detail that has been displayed so well. Thank you very much for delivering this from a closed school in Oita. It was my first time visiting, but I was excited to see what they had to offer. I believe that the words spoken to them by their professors when they graduated from university have come to fruition and have truly reached the hearts of the viewers. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. My inner childish mind was stimulated and I was excited🩷 We also saw a variety of art in the permanent exhibition. I'm glad I asked. It's quite large for an art museum, and there's plenty of space inside, so you can comfortably view the three-dimensional sculptures and cast works. However, given its size, it didn't really attract many people, and when I went there, there were only a few customers, giving me the typical impression of a place that hasn't fully utilized its facilities. Admission fees vary depending on the project and exhibition, but since it's a city-run museum, you can visit it at a low price, so it might be a good idea to visit it while driving around and think, ``Wow, this place exists!'' rather than making it your goal. It's a nice place for bringing your children with plenty of space to run and play. It's well suited for joggers or walking your dog. There's an enclosed pond with a small pavilion for the ones who seek a bit of quietude and you can hear people practicing diverse music instruments here and there. Although the petting zoo can be an intuitive experience for kids, I cannot recommend the zoo part as animals are locked in very small concrete cages, some clearly expressing high level of distress. That is sadly a common issue throughout Japan's zoos.

One thing that bothered me was that there were a lot of greasy fingerprints on the edges of the plates. Personally, I would like people to wipe the edges of the plates clean after serving, and to sandwich the plates with napkins when bringing them to the table. Maybe you don't have to do that much at a family restaurant. I think it will give a much better impression. Thank you for the meal. I had a delightful lunch at Kitchen 伊志川, an Italian restaurant. The food was delectable, and the service provided by the friendly staff was exceptional. The meat dishes were particularly flavorful, and the pasta dishes were savory and well-prepared. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall pleasant dining experience. I also appreciated the kind nature of the lady who served us, making our visit even more enjoyable.
(Translated by Google) This restaurant has very delicious meat. I went with my in-laws and my family of 5. My 3 year old daughter ordered the scratched steak, and all the adults ordered a 120g wagyu beef salon course and wine. The portion was quite large, so I couldn't finish dessert, so I gave up. I plan on going again the next time I want meat.

(Translated by Google) I ordered the anniversary course. The appetizers were prosciutto and smoked oysters, but both were seasoned with salt, so they felt quite salty. I wasn't asked how the main steak was cooked, but I think it was medium rare. It was fillet and sirloin, but the sirloin was full of volume. The price of the course was also good. It was 7500 yen per person. Overall, I was somewhat satisfied. The meat is soft and has a strong meaty flavor. The olive oil on the bread has an orange scent and is very fruity, so even people who don't like olive oil can enjoy it. I was able to buy it for 2000 yen at the shop next door. The staff at the store are also attentive. The bread was delicious and I ate it in chunks. Prepare a refill immediately Even after I finished my dessert, I was able to get a refill of my coffee and some chocolate. Ramen restaurant
The Akatsuki ramen restaurant serves delicious bowls of ramen with minimal tonkotsu scent. The deluxe option includes a generous amount of shredded wood ear mushrooms, adding depth to the dish. For those who prefer an extra kick, red pickled ginger can be added to the grilled rice. However, some may desire a spicier option, such as adding spicy peppers. It is worth noting that the sound of a metal spoon on a metal plate may be unsettling for some diners.

I visited in the evening so I thought there would be a line, but I was able to go in without waiting. It appears to be a shop that serves Hakata tonkotsu ramen. There is parking for a few cars at the back of the shop. It's not a very big shop, but I like the atmosphere. I'm not sure if this is always the case, but on this day the owner was working alone. The bowl arrived shortly after I ordered. The soup is delicious, with no peculiar taste or odor. Yup, the ramen here is quite good. I prefer this one to the Hakata ramen shop I went to last time, which had a long line. I've found a great shop! I'll come back for more. (Translated by Google) I saw the ramen campaign price of 500 yen on social media, so I was curious about it, and this was my first time here. I have no idea why this restaurant has such high ratings. The customer service from the male staff is the worst. It's the worst I've seen in a while. Until today, they had announced that coupons could not be used due to the campaign, but when one customer showed a coupon, they said, "You can't use it today," and when another customer showed a coupon, they said, "You can't use it today. It's written next to the ticket machine, so please take a look." As I was waiting for my ramen, a female staff member handed out a coupon to that customer, and when the customer said he would use it, she said, "What? So I said you can't use it." The woman who handed out the coupon also said, "Ramen is cheap today, so you can't use it. Look next to the ticket machine." As I was choosing my ramen at the ticket machine, the male staff member said to me, "Could you please leave a seat behind you?" When I ordered my ramen and it was served, I had purchased a ticket for a refill, so the man said to me, "Tell me when you want a refill." I like ramen and go to a lot of places to eat it, but it never falls into the delicious category. And the customer service is awful. I'll never go there again. I'd rather skip a meal than eat at a place like this.

Day: Oct 20, Thursday 10am Experience: ★★★★★ Like other reviews said, you need to pay for a ticket depending on your age. It was worth it! I had such an enjoyable time here! Because it's October, they have Halloween decor and photo ops all around where you can take cute pictures for fun. There is a huge variety of flowers, plants, ponds, and gardens here. My mom and I enjoyed walking around, taking pictures, and basking in the beauty of the nature and scenery. There's also a wide open grassy field where you can relax on. There's also a panoramic deck that oversees the whole garden (and Mt. Fuji)! I want to come here again! Restrooms: ★★★★★ Clean and big! Parking: ★★★★★ Many spaces available! Huge parking lot.

Lovely garden especially during roses' season wherein you can admire a large variety of flowers beautifully arranged in different configurations throughout the park. Been there thrice in May. Nestled along the serene banks of the Kanemegawa River, Komyoji is a hidden gem that offers a tranquil escape from the bustling temples of Kamakura and Yokohama. Located just a short drive from Hiratsuka IC on the Odawara Atsugi Road, this temple is easily accessible yet remains peaceful. As you approach, you'll be greeted by its impressive structures, including the historic Niomon Gate and an ancient bronze bell.
(Translated by Google) We visited when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. The historic main hall contains a hall for the Seven Lucky Gods, a hall for Manjusri Bodhisattva, a large hanging bell, and a place called Suikinkutsu. In this Suikinkutsu, if you put your ear to a large hollowed-out bamboo hole, you can hear the beautiful and mysterious sound of water. There is also an Inari shrine in the area in front of the shrine office. It is said to be the seventh of the 33 Bando Kannon Bodhisattva, and we received a goshuin (red seal) from it. In front of the main gate, there were not only Somei Yoshino cherry trees, but also double cherry trees with red and white flowers on the same tree. Hiratsuka City Museum is a delightful destination for those looking to explore both history and nature. Nestled near the Museum of Art, visitors can marvel at the preserved D52-403 locomotive, a rare gem among Japan's steam-powered trains. Inside the three-story museum, you'll find an impressive array of exhibits that exceed expectations. The first floor features a charming relocated private house, intricate dioramas showcasing Satoyama landscapes, and models of historical ruins.
(Translated by Google) Rather than specifying a specific route, the exhibition unravels the history of Hiratsuka City with a focus on ``human activities'' from multiple perspectives such as archaeology, geology, and biology. There were also booths about space (solar system) and celestial bodies, and even though I'm not familiar with this, I was able to gain some fresh knowledge. There is also a planetarium, and there is a fee for screenings here. Although the museum is full of things to see, admission is free! Parking is also free for up to 90 minutes! (Translated by Google) I stopped by while going to the museum, and it was a pretty nice museum. The exterior of the building has a Showa-era feel, but the interior is rich and shows many improvements. Hiratsuka's archeology, history, culture, nature, and astronomy are exhibited in a wide range of areas. When we asked a volunteer to give an explanation at the permanent exhibition hall, he explained key points about Hiratsuka's topography centered on the Sagami River and its history from prehistoric times to modern times, according to our interests. For astronomy, there is a planetarium. The episode I saw was 50 minutes long, with the first half being a live commentary on the starry sky and the second half being a video projection. The explanation of the starry sky is designed to be enjoyed by everyone from elementary school students to adults, and the starry sky is well-crafted with scenes that don't often show the starry sky. In the second half, many of these videos are boring and aimed at children, but the April 2025 content was interesting with the latest, specialized content featuring satellites. There were also questions raised about the meaning of humans, rather than robots, landing on the moon. Also, surprisingly, there are many original publications on astronomy. There were many books on sale for less than half price, so I bought 4 books. The exhibition room is free and the planetarium is 200 yen, so I think it's a very enjoyable facility. I took my kids to visit to kill time on a day off, and in addition to minerals, there was a lot of information about the geology and history of Kanagawa Prefecture, including Jomon pottery, a triangular-rimmed mirror with divine beasts, and incendiary bombs from the war. It's surprising that admission is free. You can park for free for 90 minutes if you show your parking ticket at the counter. The building is old, and half of the toilets are Japanese-style, and even the Western-style ones don't have washlets. There are child-sized toilet seats. My main attraction was the planetarium. The curator's quiet, narrative-spoken explanations were easy to understand and thorough. This time, I saw two programs: a general screening and a special Starry Sky Walk, which is shown once or twice a month. Each program is 50 minutes long, but it went by in a flash. The museum is located in the center of town, where the city hall, library, art museum, and junior high school are also located. I was reminded of the huge difference between the starry sky visible there, where there are very few stars, and the starry sky that would be visible if there were no light. The Starry Sky Walk was easy to understand and fascinating, introducing autumn constellations and Greek mythology. After the show, I asked a question about Comet Lemmon outside, and they kindly answered my questions. Before COVID-19, anyone could participate in the stargazing event, but since COVID-19, it has become a lottery, and although I have applied several times, I have never been able to win, which is disappointing. (Translated by Google) I finally got to see the "Hiratsuka Air Raid Exhibition," which is on display on the first floor during the summer, on September 4th, its final day. My late father would often talk about the Hiratsuka air raid, but I couldn't quite grasp the reality of the rain of incendiary bombs falling on the city. I wanted to learn more. I was shocked to learn that the reality was far more tragic than I had imagined. Of the deaths during the July 16, 1945, air raid, 64% were caused by direct hits from incendiary bombs, while only 7% were burned to death. This is because over 410,000 incendiary bombs were dropped by B-29s, and the red marks on the second-floor floor of the museum reminded me of the danger of being outside. Sadly, war is still being waged around the world. It reminded me that showing and teaching children about these realities from a young age will help pass them on to the next generation. The museum staff kindly provided a picture-story show and audio recording of the people's experiences at the time, allowing me to rediscover the horror and reality of the time. War in Japan is becoming something that happens to other people, so I hope that exhibitions like this will continue in the future. Wine bar
The wine bar, Le Bar a Vin52 AZABU TOKYO ビナガーデンズ海老名店, offers an exceptional and impressive salad that cannot be found elsewhere. In a country where cabbage and lettuce are indistinguishable, this establishment serves genuine greens. Their pizza is also remarkable, as well as the delectable truffle Camembert bread. Although the bread is not refillable, it is definitely worth the additional cost.
The food was excellent. If you are American and eating here. My one recommendations is is if someone orders from the Appatizer and I e from the main dish.you will not get fed till the app is finished. So please designate you are eating seperate plates

Came here to have just a drink or two. It was on a weekend so we were told we can only stay for 45 minutes which is fine. We ordered a beer Ebisu, and then different kinds of wine. Overall the wine price is very reasonable as they also sell it next door Seijoishi Store.

Great! Fabulous! Outstanding salad. In fact, in a country which doesn't distinguish between cabbage and lettuce, this place serves the real thing. And the pizza is fantastic. Also, the truffle Camembert bread. Bread is not free refill though it's worth paying a few extra bucks. I am really excited to go there again.

(Translated by Google) Revisited in May 2025 I visited during opening hours on a holiday. I felt that the quality of the food was as high as ever. However, it was disappointing that after opening, even though there were seats available in the store, we were not shown to them for a while. I think it was due to the balance with the cooking capacity, but it was not pleasant to have to stand and wait when there were seats available in the store. There were some elderly people there, so I thought it would be good if they could be considerate and let only the elderly people wait inside the store. Visited in December 2024 I visited on a holiday evening. It is an attached store of Seijo Ishii, and the inside of the store is small but comfortable. All the menu items were delicious, but the meat and pizza were especially delicious. The price was reasonable and I was satisfied. Japanized western restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in a nostalgic corner of the city, Zorro is an old-fashioned restaurant that exudes charm and warmth. With its menu displayed prominently on the wall, diners are greeted with an array of tempting options that can make choosing quite a delightful challenge. On my visit, I opted for Set C, which came with unexpectedly generous portions of freshly fried croquettes and fries—an absolute treat! The quality was impressive for such a reasonable price.
I was told that this restaurant is one of Hiratsuka's three soul foods. The interior is lovely. Newer restaurants cannot imitate it.

I haven't had a chance to visit since then, but the other day I was in the area and felt nostalgic, so I decided to stop by. The gentle flavor of the demi-glace sauce and the piping hot soup were just as I remembered, and I was impressed. I don't remember the exact taste back then, but I think it probably hasn't changed since then. I'd like to come again. It's great to be able to eat this quality and quantity for around 1,200 yen these days. There is a sign that says 50 yen off for takeout. (Translated by Google) I went in at around 11:30 on a weekday. I was able to get in easily, but after about 15 minutes it was full and there were people waiting to get a seat. I ordered the three-course chicken cutlet (set meal) for 1,000 yen. It had a variety of fried foods, not just three colors, and the regular portion was enough to fill me up! (From what I remember, it had chicken cutlet, pork cutlet, croquette, minced meat cutlet, ham cutlet, and deep-fried eggplant sandwich) It seems you can get a large portion of rice for 100 yen, but since it was a big party of fried foods, even the regular portion was quite heavy. It took about 30 minutes from ordering to being served, but they brought me a delicious potage soup (be careful as it is extremely hot) along with water before I ordered, so I was able to wait despite being hungry. The person I went with said the hamburger steak was delicious, so I'd like to try that next time. R6.3 I came back. Last time I wanted to try a hamburger steak, so this time I ordered the hamburger steak lunch. The hamburger steak was soft, and to be honest, I didn't feel like I was eating much meat... The mashed potatoes that came with it were also excellent✨ I felt that it was best to order fried food at this restaurant🍤✨ R6.05 Second visit This time I ordered set C✨ The fried food is delicious after all! Two shrimp tempura, a big chicken cutlet, fried horse mackerel, and fried eggplant sandwich, it was very filling. There are curries with cutlet and fried shrimp, etc., but there is no regular curry rice on the menu, and there are also deluxe grilled mixes filled with various things you like. The amount of side dishes was relatively large, but the rice was quite average. I think the cost performance is good. The potage-like soup is quite delicious, and you can only refill it once. No matter which one you choose, it's full of volume and will leave your stomach satisfied. Matsuya (Hiratsuka Kita-kaname) is a go-to spot for those craving a hearty breakfast or lunch, especially if you're looking to indulge in generous portions of rice. As a popular chain restaurant, it offers the comfort of familiar flavors no matter where you are. One standout feature is their unique policy that allows diners to enjoy unlimited refills on rice at no extra cost with any set meal.

I thought Matsuya's beef rice was simmered a little less than the other two chains to keep the meat flavor, but it seems they've changed the style quite a bit. They're becoming more like the other two chains. Although, it might just have been simmered too long since it was late at night. They differentiate themselves by including miso soup, so I'm sure they still get customers who come for that. Next time I'll make sure to go when they're open for the morning set. Ramen restaurant
Noodle shop
This ramen establishment, MenYa Shokudō, is highly regarded for its delightful offerings. It should be highlighted that the staff's customer service and the ambiance within the restaurant are exceptional. The attentive staff members display genuine smiles, a sense of familiarity while maintaining appropriate distance, and take time to bid farewell outside the premises. The eatery exudes a nostalgic Showa-era style with comfortable seating arrangements that offer ample space for families without feeling cramped.
Finally a ramen shop that has beat my previous favourite set in 1993 Yokohama. Located next to the Sagami river, this busy shop gave my taste buds a party. Decor is 70s/80s retro, my favourite era. Cutlery also seemed random from the era. Even a pac-man arcade while you wait to be seated. Oh boy, that was a treat. Food was absolutely delicious. Party of 3, we had 3 different kinds of ramen, fried rice and fried chicken. The chicken was so delicious, I became a little emotional. Service was spot on, food arrive at a reasonable time. One word to sum up.....PERFECTION!!! 12.30pm. 1500 per head with drinks

A noodle restaurant with wonderful and memorable decorations which you will think of your childhood!! The noodle is ok with very hot soup which I love the most. While personally it’s a bit too salty.... waitresses are all very friendly while their English may not be very good, so you will have to point to the photo in the menu to order. The water pot with ice water is amazing, leverage the salty soup.....hahaha The most memorable thing is the old game: PAC-MAN putting outside, you may play anytime you want! So the 4 stars include this perfect game machine outside their restaurant. Could try.....

Overhyped place but the presentation is decent. Soup is very basic and noodles are similar to some commercially available ones. I can even reproduce the same quality at home if I wanted to. I've been to some that are less reviewed and far better.

Very nice restaurant! The decor was purposefully retro and very cool. I tried the ramen and gyoza both were delicious! The menu had no English on it so if you can’t read Japanese, I recommend using the Google lens app to translate it. This is a must try restaurant in Atsugi.

Ramem's and side's quality, service and hospitality are so beautiful. But how come fried rice is too solty? Is that intentional for making us order another steamed rice? Haha

I love this ramen shop:) I should be noted that the staff's customer service and the atmosphere in the restaurant are excellent. The staff's customer service includes natural smiles, a sense of familiarity and distance, and time to see off their customers outside the store. I love it so much. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very Showa-era style Japanese, and the chairs are very comfortable to sit, the tables are spacious enough to accommodate family customers without making them feel cramped. I also liked there is no ticket vending machine, the staff is taking your order. The ramen is a refreshing soy sauce ramen with a hint of niboshi (dried sardines). It is delicious. I strongly recommend this ramen shop if you come near by.

For day 4, these 5 places should be enough to fill your day with something exciting to do in Hiratsuka. Start the day with Hikichigawa Water Park and make your way through the city to get to Kamasaka River. This should take about 8 hours of your day.

(Translated by Google) When you go to the coast by bicycle, you will pass slowly through this Hikijigawa Shinsui Park. When the roads are crowded, such as during cherry blossom season or when an event is being held, I look at them from the side and drive along the parallel roads. Therefore, this park was usually used as a walk-through park. However, this road is called Fuji Road or Hikijigawa Fuji Historic Site Road. This wisteria looks like a wisteria flower when you look at the map (image included). When the popular cherry blossoms and wisteria flowers in this park finish blooming, it feels like you are back in the park for the locals. The season when the warm sunlight shines through the fresh greenery is short-lived, but it's a great time to take a walk or jog in the sunlight filtering through the trees. In this park, you can sit on a bench, lie down, and have a leisurely conversation with someone. You can spend a relaxing time here. The cherry trees and wisteria that have finished blooming have put on leaves that block the sunlight, creating the perfect atmosphere of sunlight filtering through the leaves. Also, I like the long wisteria trellis. It's nice to see people near the park taking a leisurely stroll and relaxing. I'm sure there are some people who come by car, but I also recommend this quiet atmosphere. Wouldn't it be nice to enjoy Hikijigawa Water Park, which is full of greenery, during this pleasant time?

Even in the early hours of the morning, during wisteria and cherry blossom season, the parking lot (open 24 hours a day) gets crowded from early in the morning. There is a Western-style building called SAN GARDEN in front of the entrance of Umayu Fureai Park, and it is very beautiful when the roses bloom. I went cycling on my 1/2 bike. It was the third day of the New Year, so it was very quiet, with only families walking their dogs. As soon as you enter Bairi Fureai Park, you will find a forest with round stone tables and chairs surrounded by seasonal flowers. The leaves of the trees are thick and provide shade, making it a shady and cool place in the summer. This time, the leaves had fallen and the sun was shining, so I sat on a chair and took a break, drinking milk tea that I bought from a vending machine. The view from the chair is of the Western-style building and garden of Sunlife Garden. There is a covered bicycle storage area, which is unusual for a park. Just a short walk away, there is a park where children can run around to their heart's content, and there is also play equipment for small children. In the back, there is a soccer field and gymnasium on the vast grounds. On the day I went, there were people from the silver generation playing soccer⚽️. The Sagami River flows by the side, and there is a soccer field along the bank, and I feel that the training ground has been created by Shonan Bellmare supporters to promote sports in Hiratsuka City. There is a large parking lot next to the gymnasium. You can go up to the bank from Arifureai Park with a slope. People in wheelchairs can also go up the bank. If you go along the bank, you will find a flower garden of Umairi. On a clear day, you can even see Mt. Fuji Perfect for taking your dog for a walk, walking, or running. While many patrons frequent it for weekday lunches, the weekend dinners elevate the experience with an impressive selection of high-quality meats and lively sushi options. Guests can indulge in creative combinations tailored to their tastes, making each visit unique. Notably, beef tongue is exclusively available on weekends, adding to the allure of this popular spot that has garnered attention from various media outlets.

It is a famous restaurant that has been featured in various media, has a good name value, and all of its dishes are delicious. Above all, it is a restaurant that definitely appeals to children who like what they like, so it is always crowded with families and young children. Another appeal is that you can create your own original menu by combining all-you-can-eat items. It is standard to make a cuppa with rice and short rib soup. You can make your own ramen and soba noodles, so you can have fun while eating. If you have small children, please be sure to have a parent accompany you. Both safe and sanitary. That's manners. It is not a high-end restaurant, so it is not a restaurant that attracts people who want to relax and eat delicious yakiniku. The day I went was on a Friday, a weekend. I thought to myself, "It's probably going to be crowded again." I went there and it was empty. It was already past 6pm, so it was a good time for it to be crowded. I was eating while talking about how lucky I was to be free today. When I went home with one group and two groups, I noticed that the inside of the store was quiet... I was like, ``What! Is it reserved for private use?'' It was so crowded, I wondered where Stamina Taro had gone, which made me feel very lonely. Even though it was dinner time, there were few types of meat, and the side dish corner seemed to have leftovers, and the fried chicken was dry and hard. Even before it was opened in Hiratsuka, there was a nearby restaurant in Atsugi, so I used to go there and have been a fan of Sutamina Taro for many years, but after this incident, I no longer felt like going. It was not a meal to eat. I wonder if it's time to review the management a little. I'm keeping an eye on Stamina Taro in the future, and I wish him all the best. The wide variety of chocolate fondues that were available until a few months ago are gone, and the ice cream selection has gone from 10 to 6. Since it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, I wasn't expecting the meat or side dishes to taste great, but I was disappointed to see the selection cut so drastically. Even high-cost items like tomatoes from the salad had been cut. Soba noodle shop
Soba Nagoya is a delightful culinary destination that truly captures the essence of traditional Japanese soba. Upon entering, guests are greeted with a warm atmosphere and attentive service that reflects the restaurant's commitment to hospitality. The menu may seem limited at first glance, but each dish tells its own story of flavor and quality.
20230506 - staff very polite and service very good. What I ordered today was pickle soup Udon (Kimchi Nabei Udon). Everything tastes good despite the Chinese cabbage pickles. Just the price is kind of high (¥1,430).

This store feels spacious compared to other stores. Customer service is also polite and pleasant. The taste is delicious and I'll probably visit again. (Translated by Google) I received the Shogun Soba for 1,780 yen. I entered the store after a short wait around noon. I waited while thinking that the menu didn't have much to offer, but after trying it, I was convinced that it was a popular restaurant. Soba is delicious! I understand that it is described as hard, but the soba was very refreshing to eat and the portion was just right! The various types of soba were also good. The cream anmitsu after the meal also looked delicious!

(Translated by Google) I visited here on a Sunday lunchtime. As expected, it was a popular restaurant, so I wrote my name at the entrance and waited. The menu is generally on the pricier side compared to other soba restaurants in town. I ordered a large serving of tanuki soba (+220 yen). I think they deep-fry the fried tempura bits for the tanuki soba. There was a lot of firm, crispy tempura bits in the bowl, but it wasn't heavy. The broth was on the mild side. The soba was fragrant and generally delicious. My partner ordered Zaru soba, but they asked me, "Is it okay to have two pieces?" but they were two cute, small, round steamers, so the amount was the same as a regular steamer. They said it was delicious. All the staff at the restaurant were very polite and I was able to enjoy my meal very comfortably. I left the restaurant satisfied.

(Translated by Google) The atmosphere inside the restaurant was relaxing, and the seats were spacious and comfortable. I was able to get in before it got too busy, but at lunchtime the restaurant and parking lot were crowded, and there were a few cars waiting...I ordered tempura and soba. The batter was crispy and the soba noodles were chewy, and it was very delicious. I felt the prices were a little on the high side.

(Translated by Google) I went on a Sunday around 12:00. Waited about 10 minutes before entering the store. The store has a great atmosphere. Customer service is polite and gives a good impression. It's a culture of hospitality. How do we reach that level? For soba, I ordered Yamakake soba and Nameko soba. Something refreshing is perfect for the hot season. Yamakake is heavy and often meets the egg. The slightly sweet soba soup and thin soba go well together and are delicious. The only drawback is that you can only use cash.

(Translated by Google) I ordered Shogun Soba. The soba noodles were very chewy, and the tempura shrimp were huge, so I was very satisfied! It was like Nihachi soba, and it was my first time to have soba that was so chewy. There is a parking lot, and the staff was very kind and helpful. It was a store that I would like to visit again.

(Translated by Google) This time I received Tenju. The luxurious tempura with two large shrimp and vegetable tempura looks beautiful and will whet your appetite. Particularly noteworthy is the Kanto-style sauce, which has a rich and deep flavor. This rounded out the whole dish and made it more appetizing. My companion ordered the Daimyo soba and enjoyed a variety of soba including tempura and tamagoyaki. The tempura in particular was crispy yet not greasy, making it easy to eat. Nagoya is always packed on holidays, and you'll be waiting in the parking lot within 10 minutes of opening. Its popularity is no wonder. Soba Restaurant Nagoya is a restaurant that perfectly harmonizes tradition and taste. Not only the food, but also the atmosphere and service are wonderful, making you want to come back again.
