Robinsons Place Tacloban

Shopping mall
Robinsons Place Tacloban is a popular shopping destination in Leyte, Philippines, offering a vibrant experience with diverse entertainment and dining options. Since its establishment in 2012, it has become a favored spot for locals and tourists due to its wide array of shops, eateries, and entertainment choices. The mall provides various stores for groceries, pharmacy needs, kitchen essentials at the department store, as well as dining options like Shakeys pizza restaurant and Figaro coffee shop.
The place is very crowded during nighttime and weekends. The grocery line is also very long. I like the mall because most necessities are available here—pharmacy, grocery, food hub, department store, computer shops, mobile phone stores, and more. If you’re coming from downtown, ride a jeepney with a 'Marasbaras' signboard or any jeepney heading to Marasbaras.
Blue W — Google review
Dropped by during Sangyaw festival season and there was a fair and food park just next door to the mall.
Chuu L — Google review
Got better through the years after great typhoon. More food shops and children entertainment shops. A good stop if you are early on your flight at the nearby airport.
Elmo B — Google review
I much prefer this Robinson ( Tacloban had 2x) more choices of restaurants and cafes. More choices.

Robinsons Place Tacloban is one of the best malls in the city. 🏬 It has a wide selection of shops, restaurants, and supermarkets—perfect for shopping and dining with family or friends. The mall is clean, spacious, and accessible, plus it often hosts events that make it more lively. A go-to place when in Tacloban!

March 31, 2022! For how many years I've never been here! Even after the incident (fire)! The place is back and same sa dati, maraming tao as usual, and you can buy anything here! I love this place! ❤️
Hoon V — Google review
Airconditioning is worse nowadays as it's always hot inside. I don't know if there's a problem in their units but it's very inconvenient for mall-goers. As my wife says, it's colder outside than inside the mall. Management should address this issue.

A must place to visit when in Tacloban, a nice view of the sea, fresh air, good for jogging, hang out and food trip...also it reminds us of our history...(note: its under renovation/maintenance as of today)
Ecko V — Google review
It was pouring when we visited and there was ongoing construction in one area but still a beautiful memorial. I appreciate the signs and mini history lessons. The park is huge and well maintained. It has enough parking across the street, has a security guard and everything is clean.

The Tacloban City Convention Center, also referred to as the Tacloban Astrodome or the Tacloban City Coliseum, is a versatile indoor arena in Tacloban, Philippines with a seating capacity of 4,500. It serves as a venue for various events and meetings. The surrounding area features a park and several restobars. While it offers ample parking space, there are suggestions for improvements in cleanliness and restroom facilities.
This large dome serves as a hub for major events and is surrounded by a vibrant atmosphere. The area around it is bustling with activity, featuring numerous restaurants and bars for dining and socializing. In addition to the urban amenities, it's complemented by a park and a baywalk, providing a relaxing space to enjoy a scenic walk along the water. This combination of an event venue, a lively commercial area, and natural, open spaces makes it a central spot for both entertainment and leisure.

Exhaust fans were somewhat okay, even after its maximum capacity we didn't feel the heat that much but it's still noticeable.

A good place to exercise in the morning, hangout with friends, celebrate or convene, cool down and have lunch or dinner in restobars or food shops around. But needs to improve cleanliness and running water in CRs or WCs. Nostalgic to remember those who perished as you view the symbolic Yolanda park sculptor/monument in the area.

The Archdiocesan Shrine of Santo Niño Parish Church in Tacloban City is a must-visit religious structure and historical landmark in Leyte. It is the home of the patron saint of Leyte, El Kapitan, and has a tall belfry that makes it easy to locate. Despite suffering significant damage from Super Typhoon Yolanda in 2013, the church remains a beautiful and spacious place for worship.
Beautiful church with open doors for anyone to visit. Totally worth of a visit for anyone visiting Tacloban city
Teemu K — Google review
If you're visiting Cebu, you should not miss the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño. This is the oldest Roman Catholic church in the Philippines, built in the 1500s, and it holds a very deep religious and historical value — not just for Cebuanos but for many Filipinos across the country. The church is home to the original statue of the Santo Niño (Holy Child Jesus), which was given by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan to Queen Juana in 1521. Many believe the image is miraculous, and people from all over the Philippines come here to pray and give thanks. When you arrive, you’ll see the beautiful old stone facade, showing off a mix of Spanish colonial and local architecture. Inside, the church is peaceful and solemn, perfect for reflection and prayer. The main altar is grand but not overwhelming. There’s also a separate area where the image of the Santo Niño is displayed — and people line up patiently just to see it. Outside the church is a big open-air candle-lighting area, where devotees light colored candles and offer prayers. You’ll also find vendors nearby who offer to dance and pray on your behalf — it’s part of the local devotion, especially during the Sinulog Festival held every January.

It was my first visit and mass although I’ve been a frequent visitor of the city. I’m glad I did it🤗 The church so spacious, beautiful structure, has a good sound system and numerous TVs for the readings and viewing of the altar for areas with blocking posts. There are areas for candle lighting some some known Saints and selling of religious souvenir items inside the church.

Saw the white towers of this Church a few kilometers away when we were on the top of Calvary Hill. It was in our itinerary during our trip in Tacloban. Like many Catholic Church, you can feel the solemnity once you go inside. There were some people praying and devoting to the faith. There are also statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin aside from Jesus Christ. There's also an area where you can light candles and pray and its even inside the church The white exterior looks magnificent under the blue, sunny sky. Toilet is at the back but you have to go out of the church. Its still within he church compound.

Experience the deep faith of Tacloban at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Sto. Niño—a beloved pilgrimage site and symbol of devotion to the Holy Child. 🙏

As a major Catholic church, now especially being a diocesan shrine of the Sto. Niño, the church caters to the spiritual needs of the people in the archdiocese knowing fully well that majority of the population in the city are Catholics and devotees of the Sr. Sto. Niño. The physical structure of the place has been built to withstand a Haiyan-like typhoon.

M/V Eva Jocelyn Shrine is a memorial dedicated to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda, which struck the Philippines in 2013. The shrine features the remnants of a cargo ship that was swept ashore in Tacloban's coastal barangay of Anibong during the devastating storm. This historical site serves as a reminder of the impact of Typhoon Haiyan, historically known as one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded.
Good educational experience. Can't imagine the force to push that thing ashore, Yolanda must have really been something else. Unique to visit! Word to the wise, the bathrooms located in the back are not kept up at all! Enter at your own risk!
Scott H — Google review
The M/V Eva Jocelyn ship had set sail from Basey, Samar, and was swept ashore by storm surges caused by the super typhoon Yolanda. It washed up in Barangay Anibong, Tacloban City, Leyte. The ship was made a memorial and renamed to commemorate of the victims.
Raphael N — Google review
We didn't really get to experience the Yolanda personally. We merely saw the tremendous effect of the super typhoon in the news. This place reminds us of how we need to value life and thank God for His protection.
January S — Google review
Intresting sight to see when one is in Tacloban City and to learn about Super Typhoon Yolanda.
Joseph S — Google review
Sad story but the Filipino resilience has prevailed, this is a memorial of the ship that end up in the road push by 6 metres waves and wind of 370klm
Xavier M — Google review
Review as of March 2024 The people of Tacloban did the right thing making the shipwreck into a monument as a reminder how disastrous a typhoon can get. Not much to do here other than take photos. There are also no restaurants nor museums to make the visit last longer than a few minutes.
Kwik A — Google review
The place is accessible since its by the road and there's no entrance fee to enter the place. This is already portion of the entire ship that was washed ashore during the landfall of Yolanda Typhoon. If you stand from the shrine and you look behind you'll see how far the ship wss from the sea! It's chilling cause you'll then realize how many people were killed during that time.

Cafe
Located near the Sto Nino Parish Church in Tacloban City, Jose Karlo's Coffee is a popular hangout spot for students and young professionals. Despite facing challenges such as the devastation caused by Typhoon Yolanda, this coffee shop has managed to endure since its establishment in 2002. Known for its specialty cakes, drinks, and inviting ambiance, it offers a great place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.
I had lunch today there with my mother. The place is great and the food were the delicious. However, there was a little problem with a staff when I ordered dessert. I asked for a carrot cake and 2 cashew tarts. I did get my cake, but then they got me two sansrival. I (politely) said that I asked for cashew tarts, but the lady got all defensive, even went to the back to ask the other staff there, and I didn't like her tone on how she talked to me. From there, I just decided to just let it go to not make the situation out of hand over a dessert. I don't mind the mistake/misunderstanding, but had she not talked to me that way, (and apologize that she heard it wrong) I would have let it slide and not write a review. I just feel that they have to be aware and mindful next time it happens to another paying customer. Sorry, it got to this and thank you for your understanding.

Good area - rlly good ambience, couch by the entrance window was extremely comfy Food and drinks took way too long. Air conditioning was weak. Pizza okay for the price (330). Standard drinks~
Marcus — Google review
Ordered simple brewed coffee (just okay, no cold drinks that day since there was no ice delivery), biscuits were a bit stale, but prices are decent. What really made us stay was the ambiance... so homey with a vintage aesthetic. Heard from a local this is one of the OG coffee spots in Tacloban, definitely worth a visit if you’re traveling here
Krystyna P — Google review
This is a very comfy and casual, kind of older world coffee shop and restaurant. The vibe is very nice. The food was tasty.
David S — Google review
Former house turned coffee shop. Has great character and dim lighting. Good for meetings or dates. Coffee and snacks are delightful, but I would recommend that HOT coffee be served in coffee mugs and not glass cups (suitable for cold coffee). So thankful I found this place. However it was disappointing to see people with their dirty feet on the furniture listening to videos without earphones. I hope management increases their prices to prevent these type of people from ruining the wonderful atmosphere. Also, I know it’s Christmas, but why is it necessary to play the same songs over and over and over and over again? It honestly takes away from the experience...

Place was hot when we entered, AC couldn't keep up with the temperature. Coffee was meh, mas masarap pa Iced Mocha sa Jollibee. 😢 Also, their comfort room is disgusting.

My first ever coffeeshop experience is in this place almost 20 years ago. I love this place. Still standing tall and strong after the typhoon haiyan. Café Lucia is a delightful establishment with an inviting atmosphere and delectable cuisine. The dining area is open-air, providing a pleasant environment for patrons to enjoy their meals. However, due to its location, there may be occasional exposure to cigarette smoke from outside. The Carbonara dish and shakes are particularly enjoyable, receiving high praise from visitors. Additionally, the café offers a cozy garden and scenic views, making it an ideal spot for coffee enthusiasts seeking a tranquil setting.
Went here again to catch up with some friends and their service was the worst! When I first came here, some staff were so rude but I still came back, hoping for a better service but turns out it just got even worse. They have a lot of customers at the time since we were there from around 4pm-6pm. It was so busy and we could feel how chaotic it was. I also said to put no ham in their "Carbonara with Ham" because I don't eat pork. Turns out that their "Carbonara with Ham" has bacon and they put it in mine. I didn't bother na lang and just removed the bacon myself. Although the food was delicious, I would still consider how their service is so bad. It also seemed like they weren't taking note of all our orders because they would always need reminders and kept asking us what still need to be served.
Chloe C — Google review
The service is fast and the food was good. The environment is great, though it's inconvenient if it rained since there are seats outside. We ordered their Carbonara, BLT sandwich, and Iced Caramel Latte. I would recommend their Carbonara. However, their BLT sandwich was a bit dry. The food was affordable, though.
Carline D — Google review
Cafe Lucia is one of the few cafes in Tacloban with a great ambience. It has a nice view of the sea and the night sky. Their carbonara is the best in town for me; creamy, flavorful, and consistently good. However, I didn’t enjoy their sandwiches, and I’m not a fan of their drinks. The menu has stayed the same for years, and it’s starting to feel a bit limited. I hope they add new dishes or seasonal items
Faye — Google review
Great location, pleasant atmosphere, young crowd, mostly students, very good quality cold and hot drinks, the snacks and main courses are very disappointing and not worth the price. You expect to get a little more for the very high amount you paid for them. In short, if you've already gotten there, then just drink only. It's not recommended to order food.
דדי א — Google review
We ordered baby back ribs good for 2-3 persons it's so delicious and the chicken wings are like a max restaurant taste. Smoothies are good too! We like the cozy and romantic atmosphere here. Btw, it's near the sea! Service is great!
Smyle V — Google review
Nice place and great food. Its an open air dining so when the wind blows towards you, cigarette smoke from the outside dining is expected. Loved the Carbonara and the shakes.

Great place. Decent food. Bad service. Ambiance 4 Ambiance at night is great. You don't see how dirty the sea is and the breeze is nice. The lights also help set the mood. Food 4 Food and drinks is decent. Too bad service is one of the worse. Price 4 Price is great for the food and drinks they serve. Parking 3 Ample parking space since its located in a park. Parallel parking stings but better than nothing. Service 1 Dishonest staff will tell you they will give you your change after serving you, but never does. If you never ask they will never give you, your change. This is the 2nd incident.
Farm F — Google review
Nice spot to hang out as it is right at the bank of the sea. Good coffee drinks with reasonable prices. Quite spacious for a coffee shop. Plenty of parking. The indoor area can get a little hot and sticky though especially in mid afternoon because of humidity. Wish they would put air conditioning unit in at least one area for those who want to chill and enjoy the view but do not really want to perspire...

The staff at Brews + Breakfast Fusion Coffee is accommodating and they open promptly. The atmosphere of the place is cozy and inviting. The cappuccino does not have a bitter taste. The serving size of the French toast and bacon is generous, and it tastes delicious, making it worth the price. Customers have mentioned that the seafood linguine was average, with Spanish sardines and sliced squid as ingredients. The local tomato did not complement the dish well.

This place is truly a hidden gem! My whole family and I were visiting family here in Leyte and came to have dinner here at brews and breakfast. All their pastas were amazing!!!! Their cold and hot drinks are also to die for! From the flavor to their freshness everything was great! As if we couldnt have enough we went back couple days later to try their breakfast. And it did not disappoint!! My kids loved the oreo pancake! Me and my husband’s favorite was their spanish latte which was also good! Oh before i forget….the CHEESECAKES!!!! It's not the first time we have eaten here. Came around lunchtime. Not full but had customers. I ordered solo spaghetti and a regular pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni. Spaghetti was okay. Sauce was a little thin but okay. The pizza was good and had the extra pepperoni. The chicken and corn soup was good. The wife said chicken and pizza special were okay. Wait staff were professional and kind. With the exception of my pizza, the food came in a timely manner. Pizza came out a few minutes after the rest of the food. Took a little while to get the check, but it was okay. Overall, we are satisfied with the venue and will come back.

Was there but for Take Out only. From what I saw, very clean, great staff who were very polite, courteous, friendly and from the looks very attentive to guests. Food was great. Wish they had more games for the kids. They only have 1 claw game, that's it. If they had more, I would have no problem in scheduling my child's birthday party there as they advertise on their in-house TVs that showcase kids having fun and playing on many arcade games (basketball, skeeball, video games . . . And such). I only gave 4 stars based on this. Will come back for a dine-in experience and re-review.

My partner and I just ate dinner there and it wasn't a very good experience. We got there and immediately got our orders taken but it took our food approximately around 40 mins. to an hour. Getting additional orders also took around 30 mins. even though it was 2 orders only. We waited for almost an hour to get our bill and for our takeout (which we ordered around the same time we ordered our additional foods). So long story short we were in that place for more than 2 hours because their service was soo bad. idk if its because we're young adults ordering there or it was just a bad time.

The staff and manager there were very accommodating and attentive. I have a big family and we don't want to be separated for table. We just seated to a table for 4-seater, as long as we gonna eat together. The staff were concerned to us and offered other table to seat in but refused as we prefer to eat in a one table even though it was small hahaha. But then, we really needed another 1 table so we agreed to get another table but to be put beside our existing table even though we have a small space already 😂 we fitted in together yey! my family enjoyed eating together, the food and drinks were served fast. Food and drinks were good to our taste buds and went home with a stomach full. We even able to avail the Senior Citizen discount for the additional orders we had. The ambience was nice and comfortable to stay at.

Been able to celebrate a friends birthday here during our vacation in Leyte. The original plan is to have our dinner at the shakeys in Robinson's but we we're not allowed to order anymore since it is almost closing time. We opt to go to Palo branch which is definitely a good move since its way bigger and closing time is later.

Nothing to rave about. The area is inhospitable to foreigners which makes the bridge that much less worthy of getting any attention. Just a stupid bridge in a stupid area. Oh, and I was scammed by the woman beside me in the picture. Waste of time effort and money to go there to just be taken advantage of when you only ever had good intentions. I will never go back there.

Beautiful truss-design bridge that lights up at night after dusk. There was no prominent viewing area promoted but we found one (see the pic)...you have to go down a road that runs next to the bridge (on the opposite side to the Polytechnic) that takes you to an area where you cross back under the bridge and along a walk way (see pic). The viewing area is really nice and right on the water, making for a great view of the bridge as the sun goes down. We were told there was a light show of different colours and spotlights but the bridge just stayed the same colour (purple) the entire time we were there so didn't see any light show.

Constructed during the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos through Japanese Official Development Assistance loans, it has a total length of 2.16 kilometers (1.34 mi)—the second longest bridge spanning a body of seawater in the Philippines after the Cebu-Cordova Bridge. It was also the longest bridge in the Philippines upon its opening in 1973, surpassed in 1976 by Candaba Viaduct of North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), another bridge that connects from one province to another, connecting the provinces of Pampanga and Bulacan. Its longest length is a steel girder viaduct built on reinforced concrete piers, and its main span is of an arch-shaped truss design.

We crossed the bridge both in the daylight and nighttime to have a better look and experience of this great structure. I suggest you should also pass by it by night as it has better visuals with its colorful lights and you can pose for more photos as it’s less crowded compared in the morning. Just be cautious on passing vehicles and be reminded to be fast for cars are not allowed to stay for too long.

Training center
The National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP) is the premier government maritime training and research center in the Philippines, established in 1978. It offers affordable yet world-class training and refresher courses for seafarers, with facilities that meet international standards. The campus has tight security and COVID-19 protocols in place, ensuring a secure environment for trainees. To schedule an appointment for training, individuals can visit the NMP website or check their social media pages for updates.
I had my maritime training here in 2012 and 2016, and the training offered was affordable yet world-class. To schedule and book an online appointment for training, you must check the NMP website or their social media pages for the latest updates. Also, make sure to prepare your documents as you will need to upload them on their website. If you are coming from downtown, you can take a ride going to San Juanico or Tacloban North to reach the training center. If you are taking a PUV from downtown, simply inform the driver or conductor to drop you off at the corner going to San Juanico. Alternatively, if you find a PUV with a route going to San Juanico, you can ask the driver or conductor to drop you off there.

Restaurant
Ochó Seafood and Grill is a renowned restaurant chain in Tacloban City, owned by the First Philippine Holdings Corporation. It is highly regarded for its delectable seafood and grill offerings. The establishment prides itself on providing excellent service, making it a top choice among the 50 best restaurants in Leyte Province. With its wide array of dishes and drinks, Ochó Seafood and Grill promises a delightful dining experience for locals and visitors alike.
The restaurant was suggested to us by Kuya Joedy of Joedy's Pasalubong Center... We came here and the place was jampacked, we thought they don't have available seats for us. But they have the second floor open for walk-in customers. The ground floor was primarily for reservations. The second floor also has function rooms. The place was clean and wide. They have a wide array of seafoods to choose from from fish, to bivalves, to crustaceans, and squids. By the way, the restaurant is a paluto style where you choose your protein or vegetables and choose what kind of recipe you want for that. We chose scallops to be grilled with garlic, fish for sinigang, squid to be stuffed and grilled, and my favorite shrimp for buttered shrimp. Everything was delicious, especially my buttered shrimp. You know it was fresh because it still has a hint of sweetness beyond the flavorful shrimp. Not too salty as well. The squid was cooked to perfection, not too rubbery. Their CR was clean too. Good thing we followed kuya Joedy's recommendation.

Tried the Shell Soup, Calamares, Sinuglaw na Tangigue, Grilled Pork Belly, and a veggie dish with kangkong in coconut milk (forgot the name!). Food was okay for the price, not mind-blowing but fresh and satisfying. The place is clean and the service is superb. Great spot for big groups since it’s dampa-style with lots of options to choose from.

Disclaimer: I may have a different preference from you. :) Together with colleagues who were mostly first-timers, we made sure to go to Ochó because we heard good reviews about the place. We ordered a lot: liempo (plain and with marinade), halaan (in photo), garlic and butter scallops, cheesy scallops (in photo), kinilaw, grilled tanigue, crab, and ensaladang lato (in photo). Upon ordering, you have to choose from the fresh seafood at their counter. Everything was great! For a group of five and for eight dishes (including beer and a platter of rice), we only paid ~Php 3,500! It's really affordable and sulit.

Tacloban City Hall, situated atop Kanhuraw Hill, offers a breathtaking view of the city and bay. Serving as the seat of the city government since 1952, this elegant and well-maintained building provides excellent service to the public. During fiestas, it hosts food stalls and recreational activities. Adjacent to UP, it's a popular spot for morning exercises.
Just before the sunset today (Sunday) I've come to this place. People used this place during weekends as place for hangouts, practices and exercises. The place is great as this allows you to relax and bond with friends and family. The route Tacloban- Campetic is the jeep you'll take to get here which will cost you Php8-.

I visited Tacloban City Hall during my trip to Leyte, and I was amazed by its beauty and history. It is located atop Kanhuraw Hill, which offers a stunning view of the city and the bay. It is also the seat of the city government of Tacloban since 1952. The building itself is elegant and well-maintained, and it has a spacious parking lot and a clean and comfortable waiting area. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they provide excellent service to the public. I also appreciated the peace memorial marker of Philippines-Japan friendship – the Madonna of Japan – that is located near the city hall. It is a symbol of hope and reconciliation after the horrors of World War II. I highly recommend visiting Tacloban City Hall if you are in the area. It is one of the best attractions in Tacloban City!

The place to go for late night BBQ. Find your suki and enjoy cheap BBQ. There are a lot of stalls to choose from. Each with their own unique sauce and taste. If your in Tacloban, you must try the BBQ. Its part of the culture. Everyone eats street BBQ here. If you don't, your missing out. Take a chance and try it out. You would not regret it. You can select from pork or chicken BBQ. And they also have squid and fishes too. Parking is once again allowed. They are not as crowded as before thanks to the mayor disallowing them for almost a month after the fiesta... had to wait a month before I could go back and enjoy... politics...

If you're looking for an open area with bbq and allows drinking, this is the best place to be. You can have late night bbq dinner with your family and friends or have chillnumans. What I don't like about the area tho is the lack of clean bathrooms.

You can see the great view of the bay there. It's kind of noisy if you'll seat at the middle part of the area but if you'll eat at the bay side, you'll sorta find it peaceful. It's kind of uncomfortable eating there bcos a lot of strangers are asking for money/soliciting. It can be really dangerous if you'll get drunk there.

Chinese restaurant
The Royal Kitchen Restaurant, an established Chinese eatery in the city, has a spacious upstairs room suitable for hosting large groups. While some noise from conferences may be present, the diverse menu offers various dishes, including standout prawns that are crispy, juicy, and delicious. The beef is also of decent quality. This restaurant claims to be the oldest Chinese establishment in town and is known for its authentic cuisine.
Delicious Chinese food and lots of different choices. Place was clean as well. It was a bit warm since we arrived around 7pm and they were about to close. Difficult to find a parking space since it's along a busy road.
Mike P — Google review
I don't recommend this restaurant for a pleasant meal for you. I used the restaurant at 8:05 p.m. -. There's a lot of new in the. restaurant, but there's no ingredients prepared. -. The food was set in a broken bowl, the bowl was dull, and all the food was warmed in a microwave. -. The service was the worst of the worst, and even though we were eating, they cleaned the floor of the restaurant with broomsticks, and sprayed the floor with an unknown liquid.
Riva H — Google review
The food was so-so, nothing to write home about. Prices were also on the high side. The Air conditioner was not set to a comfortable temperature leaving me and my companions sweating through the whole meal, tried asking the waitress nicely to turn up the AC but would not comply. . No parking provided by the establishment as well, you have to be very lucky to snag a parking slot since establishment is along a very busy street.
Timothy T — Google review
Food was good, unfortunately they were out of many of the menu items including Chinese food standards like snow peas, celery, and tea shake somehow. Out of 7 milk tea shake flavors on the menu, 3 were available, many of the Chinese food items were not available. No Buko somehow, though it was on the menu. Why have such an extensive menu if you can't afford to stock the ingredients for them. The items that we finally ordered were good and well prepared after we returned the items that were brought to the table in error. Wait staff needs basic training in how to wait on tables. Zero menu knowledge from waiter, meant him running to the kitchen for every question about what items on the menu had in them. Wrong drinks brought out meant no drinks with food, and 30 minute time from order until food, when there were only 2 tables in the restaurant with customers. At least 8 employees standing around and one person bussing, cleaning, and taking orders. 🤔🤔🤔. Bathrooms gross, and watched the kitchen guy come out of the CR, which has no sink in it, go past the sink in the hallway, straight back into the kitchen.
Stephen — Google review
We had a fairly large group and booked one of their upstairs room. It was quite loud as there was some sort of conference going on in the upstairs area. We ordered a variety of different things including fried black chicken, but the thing that stood out was the prawns, crispy, juicy and delicious. The beef was also not bad. Decent Chinese food and it is apparently the oldest Chinese restaurant in the city.

Price was affordable compared to other restaurants✨🤸 The food was served in less than 30 minutes 😊 The food was delicious, as usual( we're regulars there)😋🥳💕 We love their entire noodle selection. 🤩 I like their photo booth area❤️ We complained about something floating on our water from the pitcher. The staff just threw the dirty water and returned the same glass on our table. 😅 (We didn't drink any of the service water) One of the staff (I think 🤔) was sleeping on one of the long chairs at the back, which we were planning to choose, since we are a big family.

As one of the better and cleaner restaurants in town, this has the best Chinese choices. Been here many times over the years but have experienced degradation in service and food. Serving sizes are down and prices have gone up with much longer wait times. If you're in the mood for Chinese, it's OK

Raj Burger is a small but popular spot in Tacloban known for its delicious and authentic burgers. Despite its unassuming appearance, the food is highly recommended and has gained a reputation throughout the city. The convenient location near Sto Nino church makes it an accessible dining option. While the dine-in experience may not be luxurious, the great food at reasonable prices makes it worth a visit.
Actually the first burger joint where I didn't have to worry about missing the meat on the first bite. **Raj has the most meat-to-bun ratio in any burger I have ever eaten in the city!** Fahrenheit's regular burgers come second to Raj's classic burger.

I could not promise that this has the best burger in town, but if you want to taste a real burger, this is the place to be. As what my American friend always say, they do not rob you of your money. The place itself is too small to be attracted to it, but as they say, do not judge the book by its cover. Their food is just sumptuous not to be tried. I can bring my foreign friends here since most foreign people are into real meat. I think as small as this place is, it has been known throughout Tacloban. So I am giving this a four star, not because of the food, but because the one star missing is for the place. It is just too far from the other establishments that you have to purposely ride a tricycle or walk down to it to taste their specialty. Overall, we are always satisfied with their burgers.

Am not a fan of beef burger but my colleagues are talking about this small burger house and i became curios. So, one Friday afternoon after work, we just walk straight there and ordered a veggie burger. The beef patty is thick and you really can taste real beef.

One of the best Burger joints in the City, at prices that don't tread across the expensive line. You don't need to think twice about going here if you're in the mood for a great burger. But for all this establishment's worth, I'd hope that they find a much more suitable venue for their business. Apart from that relevant detail to note, very much a great establishment.
Harold ( — Google review
The burger was great. Cheap but will fill your belly. It is pure beef. It is a good place to take a bite after a tiring walk around town. I don't recommend going there when the weather is bad. Rain will get you wet since it is almost open area. Don't get there for refreshments though. I went there twice but there are no stocks for shakes and other beverages except the typical soda. A must try.
John C — Google review
Honestly I haven't been there for months, but they have certainly upgraded ever since. Even back when I was still in High School. Heck I still remember when they were a smaller shop and the burgers were the freakin best! They occassionally come to my college during events and I'm telling you it's worth it. If you haven't tried it, then you should. They are a must have and the food is a must eat. A lot of people like the burgers for a reason, and that's because they're good.
