Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Tacloban

Good food. Good eats. Been visiting Philippines for few days before my cousins brought me here, best tasting food on this visit.

Tried the Shell Soup, Calamares, Sinuglaw na Tangigue, Grilled Pork Belly, and a veggie dish with kangkong in coconut milk (forgot the name!). Food was okay for the price, not mind-blowing but fresh and satisfying. The place is clean and the service is superb. Great spot for big groups since it’s dampa-style with lots of options to choose from.

Disclaimer: I may have a different preference from you. :) Together with colleagues who were mostly first-timers, we made sure to go to Ochó because we heard good reviews about the place. We ordered a lot: liempo (plain and with marinade), halaan (in photo), garlic and butter scallops, cheesy scallops (in photo), kinilaw, grilled tanigue, crab, and ensaladang lato (in photo). Upon ordering, you have to choose from the fresh seafood at their counter. Everything was great! For a group of five and for eight dishes (including beer and a platter of rice), we only paid ~Php 3,500! It's really affordable and sulit.

Amazing food, especially the seafood — you know it’s fresh. They also have local varieties of dishes if you want to have a more regional experience. The food is also priced well.

Ocho Seafood totally blew me away. The grilled octopus was insanely good, and the shrimp tacos were packed with flavor. The vibe was chill but classy, and the staff made us feel right at home. The Cocktails are great too. Everything came out fast and fresh. I can’t wait to go back, this might be my new go-to seafood spot.

The Special Halo-halo is not great. I like the traditional kind with crushed ice, condensed milk, Kaong and Nata de Coco. I ordered Bangsilog and it was perfect. I love the fired rice a lot. Three stars because the Halo-halo was not satisfying on my taste. I am old school and I like the old way/taste of Halo-halo. The staff are great.

Very cute concept! This is a great place if you want to take aesthetic, instagram-worthy photos. The dish names are so witty! Check it out in their menu, a.k.a. their “Me ‘N U” 😉 I used to come here just for the vibe because I wasn’t a fan of their food; but it’s definitely improved over the years. The service was great too: the staff were polite, and we didn’t have to wait for long at all. This time, we ordered their burger steak, Vietnamese chicken, and spicy cheese sticks. Burger steak - 7/10 Vietnamese chicken - 8.5/10 Spicy cheese sticks - 9/10 Worth the try 🥰

Chanced upon this super cute café/resto while looking for a place to work. Sayang, there was even a power outlet pa naman, perfect sana for quick work but our Globe pocket wifi didn’t work well inside, so we just ate quickly and moved. Still, the food made up for it! We tried the bangus and liempo rice meals both tasty and reasonably priced. The fresh veggies really stood out: loved the ensaladang talong with the liempo and the kamatis ensalada on top of the bangus. Total was ₱590 for 2 meals sulit na, meals like this would cost way more in Manila! They also accept card payments BTW

Very cozy atmosphere at this venue. Nice menu selection, and the food came all together. Tasty eating. The decor is very nice as well as the staff. Prices are very reasonable and you definitely get your money's worth. Limited parking because of busy streets, but there are about three parking spaces in the back. Have to kinda drive through the restaurant to get to them. Haha... We will be coming back again.

The place here has improved a lot in the years including the decorations that Chewlove has. However it is just ok. The iced tea is delicious and the french fries are absolutely plentiful however the baked mac they served me felt odd because the sauce is too watery and it does not have enough cheesy options. Although the chicken and waffles are absolutely a perfect combination including the wedges but the salad just felt out of place.

Food: 3/5 We only got the snack menu. Mostly had the gold digger. Service: 4/5 The staff were great! They took special care to our orders and catered to us. Atmosphere: 4/5 The whole ambience is very chic. The pastel colours blended so well and especially took a liking to some of the chairs they have.

Great food. Cozy ambiance. Easily located at the city and is accessible. The nearest malls, hotels, and other fastfood chains are all just a tricycle ride away or if you enjoy walking you can certainly do so and be at your destination within 15-20 mins. I was told that parking was available inside but I'm not sure if its true.

Do not go here its a rip off. They pretend to be a high end cafe but its just an excuse to skimp on food and rip you off.This restaurant is skimming you on quality and content of food and delivering little to nothing for your money. I started with the chicken garlic quesadilla which was basically a tortilla with the barest ammount of cheese possible pretending to be fancy food with a tomato drizzle. Very empty and bland with nothing I. There worth the price charged. Next was the Asian chicken which was basically an attempt at curry, dreadful and Unapetizing the bland white rice was the only thing edible on the plate. Do not go here it's over charges dramatically for an off the path tacloban resto pretending to be a high class Cafe. The final insult is being ignored for 30mins when they see your not ahppy or liking the food or eating I'll take my chances with the street vendors and toilet at least it'll taste good going down

I used to eat here years before they really had a good and tasty food, but seems like now, the taste is not same like before. Carbonara was overcooked a bit bland the bread was chewy could not even bite on it not sure if they toast it but it was chewy, the quesadilla was ok, pepper pork was ok but never tasted like without pepper. The place it self has no exhaust inside restaurant was full of smoke (when grilling) it was a bit uncomfortable.

We ordered rum ribs and nachos salad. The rum ribs came with rice and a very very small portion of coleslaw. The whole serving was just enough for the three of us. It was good enough. The meat was very soft, which I liked. As for the nachos salad, it still tastes good but I really miss their old version of it which had ground beef 🥲

Very accommodating and their service is good even though they are samar locales but I think the owners like miss wenceslau is thoroughly taught them well to and the food is great especially the pasta and the ribs that I enjoyed. My experience here fantastic that the owner has talked to us 2 hours past.

Nice quiet restaurant. Not very visually pleasing as you walk in and the floor is in need of possible remodeling. Good selection on the menu but one of the items I wanted not available. Food was good and price reasonable. Overall it's an okay place to go.

Craving for the famous Rum Ribs, but sadly they sell out real fast. Nacho Salad is an all-time favorite starter. The Non-alcoholic Sangria is a good choice of drink for sharing.

Amazing baked lasagna! Great pork chop.. fantastic service. Just an absolutely perfect place to enjoy an excellent meal and then top it off with the 3rd best tiramisu I've ever had in the world!

Nice authentic Italian-Filipino restaurant. Known to be an institution in Tacloban for some. Everything we had was delicious. Glad I was able to visit! More pricey than other restaurants in the area but it is worth it.

Good food & service in the 3 times I’ve been here. Not a fan of the “sauces” for the porkchop & the steak. The meat is already good - simple sauce will do instead of the thick onions etc.

I have been wanting to visit this venue for awhile now. Finally had the opportunity. Nice atmosphere as you walk in. Kind of an Italian feel to it. Bottle of wine on the table as you sit. Not a large menu but has a variety of items to order. Being an Italian restaurant the first thing that came to my mind was lasagna yum 😋😋. Hmmmmm unavailable 🥺🥺🥺. Ordered the ravioli instead. The two long skinny breadsticks that were brought had a cheesy taste to them. They were good. I ordered ravioli, minestrone soup, baked scallops and a side of garlic bread (not included with meal), iced tea to drink. Wife ordered grilled pork chop. Took a little while for the food to come. The lettuce salad was good, croutons crunchy a nice light dressing. The soup was very good. You could tell fresh ingredients were put into the soup. Veggies were nice with a little crunch to them. Ravioli was okay. Tasteful. Garlic bread was on sourdough bread. Love sourdough bread. The pork chop was absolutely great. Like melt in your mouth pork chop 🥩. Iced tea good with a nice taste of lemon. The baked scallops were very good. Very flavorful and cooked nicely. Overall it was a nice experience. Needless to say it was a little pricy but good. More of a high end restaurant. Maybe we will come back some other time.

This is by far the nicest restaurant in the city that I am aware of. And surprisingly, the prices were not bad at all, nor were reservations required. The thin crust 4 cheese pizza was delicious and cooked in a wood oven (although gorgonzola is not my favorite cheese, it was still good). The lapu lapu fish and shrimp were excellent. The menu was filled with delicious Italian dishes, including items not often found in the Philippines like many beef items and so on. Plus some Filipino options. Also, a fine wine/spirit and desert menu. Service was very good overall. One of the female staffers seemed unhappy. Not rude, just unhappy. I hope she is alright. Wait times for food were very reasonable. And limitless free water. Tips for improvement: Mashed potatoes could have used more salt. Also, when a customer asks for salt, you need to bring them finely ground salt, not course ground flakes. Overall, a solid 5 stars for Tacloban. I would eat here several times a week if I lived here. The quality, price, and menu all make for a very well deserved 5 star rating.

It’s the best italien restaurant in Tacloban. Everything was absolutely delicious. The owner who’s living in the Philippines for 32 years is Italien too. So the food was very authentic.

Great Italian restaurant. We had some bruschetta, pasta dishes, and wine. All food and drink was 9/10. Be aware that servings are generous and the food is rich, we accidentally ordered more than we could eat. It's a beautiful and personal little restaurant that will make you feel like you stepped into a family restaurant in the Italian countryside. The staff are well kept friendly and professional. Ordered simple brewed coffee (just okay, no cold drinks that day since there was no ice delivery), biscuits were a bit stale, but prices are decent. What really made us stay was the ambiance... so homey with a vintage aesthetic. Heard from a local this is one of the OG coffee spots in Tacloban, definitely worth a visit if you’re traveling here

This is a very comfy and casual, kind of older world coffee shop and restaurant. The vibe is very nice. The food was tasty.

Former house turned coffee shop. Has great character and dim lighting. Good for meetings or dates. Coffee and snacks are delightful, but I would recommend that HOT coffee be served in coffee mugs and not glass cups (suitable for cold coffee). So thankful I found this place. However it was disappointing to see people with their dirty feet on the furniture listening to videos without earphones. I hope management increases their prices to prevent these type of people from ruining the wonderful atmosphere. Also, I know it’s Christmas, but why is it necessary to play the same songs over and over and over and over again? It honestly takes away from the experience...

Place was hot when we entered, AC couldn't keep up with the temperature. Coffee was meh, mas masarap pa Iced Mocha sa Jollibee. 😢 Also, their comfort room is disgusting.

My first ever coffeeshop experience is in this place almost 20 years ago. I love this place. Still standing tall and strong after the typhoon haiyan. Went here for a snack and tried their spicy spaghetti. It wasn’t what I expected but it’s fine. Though it could be a lot better. Their iced coffee is definitely a no-no for coffee lovers like me. It was so lacking! 😅

Nice place but for an espresso you better go somewhere else if you find another place. This is not the place. But many coffeshops just don't have espresso here. Espresso is a big problem in this city!

Fine Patisserie. Has a lovely design & theme, which helps define the establishment as one that stands different amongst others. Serves an array of dishes and pastries, all of which taste great.

Generous amount of serving for their meals. I tried their bestseller macha cupcake for Php 55 (approx. USD 1.1), I think it needs improvement to taste like more macha.

Had a cake made for my fiancee. Absolutely beautiful work the flowers looked real and the cake was made to my specifications.

While travelling to Tacloban we have sent our orders through Messenger. It was convenient, and the only thing to do is come to the restaurant and wait for the food to be served. The ambience is nice, very upscale. I ordered beef tapa with egg and sprite in a can. The plate was oily. I understand the the egg and tapa may be oily in the cooking process, but there was so much oil in my plate, including my rice. Beef was not tender enough too. I tried the buttered chicken as well. It was oily too. It lacks butter flavor. My friends' drinks arrived on our table, but my sprite is still missing. I asked the waiter for my sprite.

It is really good to eat here. They have the tasty sizzling sisig with a fresh egg, their calmares is crunchy but the cheese sticks felt off because it is not made with mozzarella and the specialty bullalo taste usual like it's from a canteen area. I may come again to try new options

Had Crispy Tenga , Bangus Sisig and Bulalo. The Crispy Tenga is defintely a game changer, it was my first time and it was so crunchy and juicy. Bangus Sisig was also one of my favorites. Bulalo was okay but still good. It wasn’t crowded when we got there.

Dont go on rush dinner hours as you might wait long, like I did. The food also comes after a bit of waiting time. They are only a few staff and the cashier is still done manually. But food is good. Maybe i will avoid rush dinner times next time.

Although the outside looks like an ordinary eatery, you will be amazed with is inside. The area is spacious. There is an open area and a place that is air-conditioned. The food is great and you can ask for best sellers each time. Try their Bulalo too. They are promoting Tacloban City's tourism so you can ask about the places to go if you want to take a tour. They sometimes have occasions and have live bands.

Recently visited this meriendahan in Tacloban as recommended by our local friends. The cheeseburger (₱55) is really good for its price, and the caldereta rice meal (₱140) is flavorful and filling. Both have that homemade taste you’d want from a merienda spot. The place looks newly renovated, bright, clean, and well-lit, with lots of tables and chairs, plus air-conditioning. Parking is a headache though 😭 It’s hard to find a spot right by the resto, so we had to park farther away and walk.

I usually don’t review fast food but this is a local restaurant in Tacloban and they have been around for a while now they deserve the shout out. The food is still great. My favorite meat roll is still delicious. This used to be my favorite dining place when I was in college so I am glad to be back. The breakfast meals are better than the popular fast food chains nearby but the coffee is too sweet. They have really good desserts.

The ambience inside is calm. They have nice food with very affordable prices. You can find a co-working space in the second floor for those who are into collaboration. And oh, they're ice cream is very tasty with lots of delicious mixtures! Update 2024: My second time coming here and this time, with my wife. Had a great time and the food's delish!

This place is one of the oldest fast food in Tacloban. The food taste still same especially grilled pork (even though the port got smaller) Halo halo and daing na bangus was also good! budget friendly. Only one of the cashier was a bit moody not even smiling. But all in all this place has good food must try in Tacloban.

Fahrenheit has always been a staple of Tacloban City. Their menu has had a few tweaks and updates but the taste has always been the same ever since the nineties up to now. It still is savory and tasty. From their fried chicken to the fries and their beef curry. I wish they still had the sweet and sour pork though. It was my favorite. Oh and the prices, still affordable! 👏 The other side though is that the customer service is still the same, not that great but tolerable.

Okay so we were hungry. Thought we would eat here. Waiter brought one menu for 4 people. When it came time to order. They didn't have 50 percent of what was on the menu. Customer service was terrible. The waiter looked confused and had that I don't care attitude. Being a former multi-management supervisor (10 to 17 stores) I am very aware about customer service. I will not be coming back to this particular facility. This is only one restaurant and not indicative of others I have eaten at.

Food is pretty great. Would recommend, along with their other branches such as the one in Robinsons Marasbaras Tacloban. Though in comparison, this branch in SaveMore is much more spacious, no difference in Menu and style of serving the food. I was there a week ago and some of their staff can be inattentive but can be helpful once their attention has been called. Be wary that during lunch hour it is mostly very crowded and fully occupied.

Not really Mexican food. It's more like Filipino food that wants to be Mexican. Nonetheless, they have some great dishes.

I've been here every day while I was back in Tacloban. They have the nicest watermelon shake and the coffee is pretty good too. It's a nice ambiance here to chill too. Staff are friendly enough.

Cozy place. The size of the cafe is small. I like the books. I would love to stay there and read but some of the really good books are wrapped in plastic. I ordered the mango shake, it was delicious. The sweetness level is alright.

Before Typhoon Haiyan, this was my favorite bookstore. It was a coffee shop and bookstore. Today, it remains one of the best place to hang out with friends or go for a date or spend time alone. I usually order my favorite Ham and Cheese Panini paired with a fruit shake before roaming around to see the books they sell. One just have to be patient in rummaging through the books and finding a book which you can buy. I hope the owners can replenish the books that they are selling. I miss the thrill of finding a rare book at a reasonable price!

True to its name, they have free-to-read books. However, the place has poor lighting if not for natural sunlight. If you intend to read, it's not very conducive. Hope to see this cafe endure in the forthcoming years, though.

1st timer in Tacloban! Sit down menu at this fine resto. Broccoli Not a huge fan of broccoli but this dish made me finish my greens! Broccoli with a crunch! (I suggest the veggie to have more bite though) Pineapple Salad Sweet local pineapples made with a twist! Refreshing, tangy but with a spicy and sweet crust on top! Pani Puri & Tuna Taco Fresh tuna sashimi, with a corn taco that tasted just right! The Pani Puri was a bomb! Totally exploded in my mouth... sauces were spectacular! I just wanted more! Lobster Spaghetti Lobster on top of pasta! The pasta sauce ooh-la-la! You could taste the creaminess of the lobster with every bite. (the pasta can be a little more al dente) Surf and Turf The seabass hit the spot. The basil sauce and the nuts on top was a game changer. Wow! Ribeye with risotto felt like transporting to a different country! The truffle gave it a different level. Apple and honey It was so pretty and I didnt want to eat it at first. I was already full but to my surprise... i almost cleaned the plate with the use of my dessert spoon! Chef Monch, the Staff and the place definitely made a mark on me! Thanks! Highly recommended!

First time trying this venue. We came around 12 noon. Not many customers. Walking in it has a modern look to it. Very nice. Lots of room. Very clean establishment. Sitting down, we could see the bay outside the big glass windows. There's seating outside also. The food came at the same time, which was great. My soup was first for me. The clam chowder was so good that I ordered another bowl. All the food was hot like right off the stove. Another plus. Wait staff was very professional and courteous. It was a little pricy but not to bad. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience and we will probably come back and try something new.

Wife and I tried this place thinking, ok. We got a Greek salad. Strange, had candied walnuts and sun dried tomatoes. The lettuce wasn’t even cold or chilled. Soggy. I got the tomato basil pasta. Came out and Was undercooked, hard. They took it back and “pan fried” it and brought it back out to me. The cook must have put salt on it because it was way saltier than before!! I couldn’t eat it. So all I had for lunch was some stir fried vegetables and fries. Oh, and there was a hair stuck to the French fry bowl, showed the waiter and he just said “sorry” and left it stuck to the bowl. lol one and done.

The ambiance is absolutely classy, and the food here is really good! My dad got gambas, I got crispy pork belly (the title of the dish had "twice" in it iirc), and there was paella and fried chicken somewhere on the table. We also got mango shakes and various juices. We ate here with relatives and ended up getting one of every dessert, which is actually just enough for eight adults. It's as pricey as you would expect (good thing I wasn't paying lol) but the food, from presentation to flavor, is definitely worth the price. 👍🏻 Keep an eye out for the cute, friendly dogs that peek over the barricade just outside the glass doors in the back :]

Having coffee on this hot and humid afternoon. Jose Karlo's Coffee Shop coffee is one of the best coffees I have tasted but sadly, their sweets are not that good. The silvanas is dry, bloated but nothing is inside and overloaded with sugar as compared to that of Dumaguete's favorite pasalubong. I will try their pasta and meals some other days.

The place is good. Nice ambiance. Accommodating baristas. But the food is quite pricey and does not taste according to its price. Also it took more than an hour to serve my pancakes and bacon. I can literally cook this in 10 mins. Still in doubt if I'd recommend this place or not.

Rovinare by Juan Karlos Coffee - an old ice manufacturing plant turned into coffee shop (rustic & industrial ambience with great food)

This coffee shop proves that there is always opportunity to everything. After Yolanda, this previous ice plant’s machines were lay wasted to 7 feet deep of water. To ensure continued livelihood to its employees, the iceplant turned itself into a coffee shop using the old wasted infra to tables, chairs and furnishings. I call these “resilient art”.

I don't recommend this restaurant for a pleasant meal for you. I used the restaurant at 8:05 p.m. -. There's a lot of new in the. restaurant, but there's no ingredients prepared. -. The food was set in a broken bowl, the bowl was dull, and all the food was warmed in a microwave. -. The service was the worst of the worst, and even though we were eating, they cleaned the floor of the restaurant with broomsticks, and sprayed the floor with an unknown liquid.

The food was so-so, nothing to write home about. Prices were also on the high side. The Air conditioner was not set to a comfortable temperature leaving me and my companions sweating through the whole meal, tried asking the waitress nicely to turn up the AC but would not comply. . No parking provided by the establishment as well, you have to be very lucky to snag a parking slot since establishment is along a very busy street.

Food was good, unfortunately they were out of many of the menu items including Chinese food standards like snow peas, celery, and tea shake somehow. Out of 7 milk tea shake flavors on the menu, 3 were available, many of the Chinese food items were not available. No Buko somehow, though it was on the menu. Why have such an extensive menu if you can't afford to stock the ingredients for them. The items that we finally ordered were good and well prepared after we returned the items that were brought to the table in error. Wait staff needs basic training in how to wait on tables. Zero menu knowledge from waiter, meant him running to the kitchen for every question about what items on the menu had in them. Wrong drinks brought out meant no drinks with food, and 30 minute time from order until food, when there were only 2 tables in the restaurant with customers. At least 8 employees standing around and one person bussing, cleaning, and taking orders. 🤔🤔🤔. Bathrooms gross, and watched the kitchen guy come out of the CR, which has no sink in it, go past the sink in the hallway, straight back into the kitchen.

We had a fairly large group and booked one of their upstairs room. It was quite loud as there was some sort of conference going on in the upstairs area. We ordered a variety of different things including fried black chicken, but the thing that stood out was the prawns, crispy, juicy and delicious. The beef was also not bad. Decent Chinese food and it is apparently the oldest Chinese restaurant in the city.

ROYAL KITCHEN RESTAURANT Tonight my family went to this affordable restaurant for birthday dinner celebration of my niece. The quality of the food was superb and very special. You can celebrate birthdays there and the staffs are very accommodating and will serve you with smile. The ambiance is so relaxing. Thank you so much Ratings: 10/10. Kudos!

Price was affordable compared to other restaurants✨🤸 The food was served in less than 30 minutes 😊 The food was delicious, as usual( we're regulars there)😋🥳💕 We love their entire noodle selection. 🤩 I like their photo booth area❤️ We complained about something floating on our water from the pitcher. The staff just threw the dirty water and returned the same glass on our table. 😅 (We didn't drink any of the service water) One of the staff (I think 🤔) was sleeping on one of the long chairs at the back, which we were planning to choose, since we are a big family.

As one of the better and cleaner restaurants in town, this has the best Chinese choices. Been here many times over the years but have experienced degradation in service and food. Serving sizes are down and prices have gone up with much longer wait times. If you're in the mood for Chinese, it's OK

A bit pricey for solo travellers :) viands are good for 2, no solo meals. 1 viand was almost 600. Appetizers were around 200-300. There's waiting time for the food to be prepared. Go only when you have a relaxed schedule ahead. The pastries look yummy! The financier was good.

D. and I went to La Maison Punjab in Marasbaras (Tacloban City) to celebrate her birthday. La Maison Punjab serves a variety of Indian dishes and French desserts. The main courses we had were Indian (the "photographer" forgot to take pics as she typically does, she was so excited. Haha), but the desserts were straight up French. I could barely walk out of there afterwards. The owner was very personable and generous. He gave D. a complementary dessert for her birthday! That was three desserts between us! Haha The atmosphere was very pleasant along with soft Jazz Christmas music playing in the background. The food was very good! The desserts? Terrific! All in all, a very pleasurable and quaint evening. We highly recommend stopping in. You will be glad you did.

We have in a high expectation because we thought the owner was Indian and the food was perfect, unfortunately it was the worst Indian food we tried in the whole world & price are too expensive not worth it… But their DESSERTS & PASTRIES was So so good. 👌

We have been wanting to try this venue and finally made it. It's not a large place, but the outside seating was very appealing. Inside is small but has a very nice atmosphere to it. The fresh pastries in the glass cases looked inviting. (A large array of different pastries) There was plenty to order from on the menu. Inside wasn't too hot or too cold. Staff was professional, and she took our order with a smile. The food arrived all together and was hot. Enough for two people. You could taste the curry (nice). For me, it could have been a little bit more spicier, but for the wife (who doesn't like spicy), it was okay. The sauces the food was brought in were very tasty. Naan bread was good. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal and we will definitely come back again. The wife bought a couple of pastries to go and said they tasted very good.

Quality food and place with a touch of memorable historical pieces. Visiting the 2nd floor seems you traveled back in time during World War II. Such a perfect place to savor dinner!

Espazio doesn’t look super eye-catching from the outside, but once you go in, it’s actually really cool! Lots of artsy corners with local paintings, sketches, and vintage stuff… a real haven for collectors! Coffee was just okay, too milky for our preference, but we loved their cheesecake. You can check out the 2nd floor’s vintage collections for free (no entrance fee), though food isn’t allowed there since it’s like a mini gallery. Definitely a spot to include in your Tacloban city tour.

Stopped in from Australia for a coffee and stayed for hours! This place is one of Tacloban’s Hidden Gems. 💎 The coffee ☕️ is very very good! A great variety and selection of food. The home made Baked Cheese Cake is the best in the Philippines 🇵🇭!!! There is also a WW2 Museum full of fascinating artefacts and memorabilia. This place is a MUST SEE! You won’t be disappointed

We stayed about three hours and had avocado shakes and iced americanos. The space is so inviting and the staff very friendly. Also visited the upstairs history center with objects and literature from the wartime era.

A cozy and aesthetic cafe with a mini-museum upstairs! We ordered the Moron Shake (a must-try!), iced cappuccino, and pesto pasta. My wife and I had a brief interaction with the owner (Sambo Y.) who personally gave us a mini-tour. He showed us two working TVs from the 40s (1940s!) and fascinating items such as newspapers from President Osmeña’s time and photos from the Japanese occupation. The propeller of the EV Jocelyn is also on display at the back — an interesting memento from Typhoon Yolanda. Overall, a great place for those who appreciate aesthetically pleasing cafes and the rich art and history of Tacloban. I am proud as a Taclobanon to have something like this. Kudos to Espazio!!!

What a cool place to eat/chill in Tacloban. I wasn’t expecting anything about their food. But their shrimp and sausage was really good! The place was also super cool - very nostalgic! Staff were kind also.

I love this place considering this is like a dream come true for me. I've always wanted to have a place like this for my poetry and photography and cafe.

The seafood pasta was very good with the squid being a little on the chewy side and the prawns were average - if these were a little fresher then this restaurant would’ve earned a 5 star rating. The grilled salmon with lemon butter was excellent. The margarita was way too sweet but so was the service and what a great view 😎

Delicious food, fast service and the atmosphere was nice. For dinner we had Kare Kare with bagoong, pad thai & pork bbq. Loved the Kare Kare btw! 😋 I loved their American Breakfast as well 👌🥞

We stopped by for an afternoon respite from the scheduled outage and hot weather. We were met by good service and warm welcome by Shanen and Jezebel. They were attentive to our needs and we felt comfortable all throughout our dining experience.

I cannot express how satisfied I am when we dined in here. First of all the ambiance is very elegant yet cosy, the staff are very helpful when guiding us in their international menu. They have American, Filipino, Japanese, Itallian, Thai and Chinese cuisine. I am amazed at how they are maintaining such menu. We tried their Thai cuisine and let me tell you the food is superb! Their Pad thai is unforgettable, fresh and super tasty. They definitely have a happy cook in here because we just tasted a happy food. 5 stars for Q Kitchen. We'll definitely come back here.

Best meal and restaurant in tacloban. Hands down. Don’t even waste your time at Ocho, based on high google review scores like we did. Wish we found this place sooner than our last night bc we would have eaten here EVERY day. It’s that good. Reasonable prices by western standards. We really enjoyed, especially the house salad, lamb chops and kefidedes (stuffed meatballs). The tenderloin was tough though. Tasted more like a pot roast presented as a steak. Excellent service.

A heart-warming place to eat with the people you love. The waiter and waitress were polite and certainly knew what they were doing and that is to bring excellent service to their customers. Their menu offers variety of cuisines that truly riddled my tastebuds. A sure place to go when sophistication plus food are in mind. Two thumbs up!

Try the Greek food. Even though the waitress didn't know what they really sell there, the chef definitely knows it. Maths also might be little problem. The bill was 2.100, I give them 2.500, my change was 300???

One of the best halo-halo my taste buds can remember, lol! Actually, we only bought halo2 for dine in and dropped by for a muffin before going home. I like the place. Cool and serene despite the sultry, noisy streets. We even charged pur phone here while dining. The touch lamp was my first time i had some fun with it lol! Dream Cafe is also close to Divine Word Hospital-very easily found and accessible. Going back to our dessert, yeah we only had halo2 since we already had lunch in Chowking. Chowking halo2 wasn't an option for my wife so we looked for the closest one and this was a stone's throw. Their halo2 was fantastic and rich in flavors with only a tiny hint of ice. I didn't have to mix it heavily for that but its how I like my dessert consumed. They also had a muffin called Orgasm but we bought the other one.

A bit on the pricey side pero masarap yung food. I got tacos and halo halo. Halo-halo was really creamy. Attentive and funny yung staff haha. The place is under renovation though so outdoor seating lang available and no cr.

One of the cool dining places in Tacloban downtown area. The place is welcoming and the staffs are very courteous. The menu is primarily dominated by Pinoy foods. Not so satisfied with how the food taste though, thus the rating of 3 stars only.

Everything on the menu has been excellent. The pizza in particular is really well done with heaping toppings. It's also the only place I've found that can serve a good chilled salad.

One of the best baby back ribs I have tasted in Tacloban. The beef stroganoff was also delicious. However, the space was quite small. Overall, I am satisfied with the service and food.

Food is not impressive but I still come back because I like how the staff treated me and my family every time we dine there. However, the food is not tasty. For example, the porkchop is very dry. The baby back ribs lack taste. Something is wrong with it. The pasta (spaghetti) is greasy. And the mozerella cheeze is not impressive. I suggest their cook and chef try the mozerella cheeze of Shakeys. It is way better. 😉

The food was good, but waiting almost two hours to complete the orders was ridiculous. It was extremely hot inside, and the smoke from the kitchen was overwhelming it really stung my nose. I’m never coming back.

We've been to this branch thrice this year. The food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. Good value for money. Unfortunately, the ambience is unappealing and the place is hot even if the air conditioning is on. Always slow service in the evenings. This time, their kitchen got one of our orders wrong (even though the waitress noted it down correctly) so we had the dish sent back. Later, the other waitress told us they ran out of stock for our remaining orders so we decided to just go elsewhere to eat. Probably not coming back to eat in this branch but I like the food, so will just try delivery next time.

I used to hang out in this cafe when I was younger, always with good food and a great place for asian food. Recently visited them, and seems like the cafe had been left out. Most food was unavailable and it's a nice place but too hot. air condition was down at the time I visited. Nonetheless, still a great asian resto.

The pizza was fantastic and the price was reasonable. But the place was too dark and the aircon was not that cold, also the house salad was a little disappointing and they were understaffed so the service was not fast, I had to wait till they come out of the kitchen to request for water and salad dressing.

Strategically located in the heart of Tacloban city, where you can score a delicious meal in a very affordable price. The chicken and pork bbq combo is a must try for people visiting the area. The also serve, ice cold San Miguel Beers.

The best grilled chicken ever. They also have variety of foods from sea foods to veggies and some deserts and appetizers. Great place and nice ambience. It would have also been better if they have free WiFi for customers. Overall its a good place with a good food and friendly staff. Its definitely a place to go in town.

Service was good, food was served in a reasonable amount of time. It is for casual dining and you get a good value for your money. The grilled chicken was a bit dry though but the pork barbeque was cooked really well.

Totally not a vegan resto BUT veggie dishes can be made vegan. MY ABSOLUTE FAVE is the Spicy Talong (eggplant) just tell them to remove the beef! I appreciate the waiter for being patient and understanding my order request. The service here is friendly and light and efficient! 👌🏻

A great modern Filipino restaurant in the downtown area of Tacloban. Super selection of dishes starting from a budget bbq chicken with rice at around 140 pesos up to a max of around 300. Very nice interior and seating with friendly knowledgeable staff. A must try.

Finally, Canto Fresco is open again. The bread rolls are excellent as an appetizer or simply as your meal. Freshly baked pizzas and pastas . . . Delicious. Glad to have you back in Robinsons. Awesome staff looking after all your needs. See you again soon.

1. Pork Barrel: Pork belly was perfectly roasted with thick crispy outer skin and juicy meat. 2. Pesto porkchop was also well seasoned and the serving was 2x bigger than that of the pork barrel. Both came with a generous helping of rice, shredded vegetables with vinaigrette, deep fried kangkong leaf, and toasted banana blossoms. 3. Thin crust tres quesos pizza tastes of fresh tomato sauce, a plethora or herbs, and generously topped with cheese. 4. Pork Sisig ⭐️⭐️- crispy and well plated but was too salty, peppery, and dry. 5. Brown Sugar & Almond Cheese Rolls ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ fluffy cheese rolls w almonds and brown sugar drizzled lightly with honey It is a bit on the pricier side, and the plating is a bit crowded, but the food and vibes are generally very good.

The food are a bit pricy, but it's delicious and decorative. Not much issues there. Some of their meals are good for 2 persons, so it's a good place if you eat a lot. The staff are a bit unattentive, perhaps they're new I'm not sure. They have a long table, so if you're lucky you can bring a group. Overall it's a good place. Not a lot of people eats here from time to time, probably because of the price.

A decent place to have dinner in Robinson Marasbaras. I like the food here, it’s delicious and desserts are decorative and yummy. What I also love here, is because this is within the mall where you can do shopping and groceries after having your fine dinner here. Recommend this place for young lovers 😘 who wanna have date...

The service is fast and the food was good. The environment is great, though it's inconvenient if it rained since there are seats outside. We ordered their Carbonara, BLT sandwich, and Iced Caramel Latte. I would recommend their Carbonara. However, their BLT sandwich was a bit dry. The food was affordable, though.

Cafe Lucia is one of the few cafes in Tacloban with a great ambience. It has a nice view of the sea and the night sky. Their carbonara is the best in town for me; creamy, flavorful, and consistently good. However, I didn’t enjoy their sandwiches, and I’m not a fan of their drinks. The menu has stayed the same for years, and it’s starting to feel a bit limited. I hope they add new dishes or seasonal items

Great location, pleasant atmosphere, young crowd, mostly students, very good quality cold and hot drinks, the snacks and main courses are very disappointing and not worth the price. You expect to get a little more for the very high amount you paid for them. In short, if you've already gotten there, then just drink only. It's not recommended to order food.

We ordered baby back ribs good for 2-3 persons it's so delicious and the chicken wings are like a max restaurant taste. Smoothies are good too! We like the cozy and romantic atmosphere here. Btw, it's near the sea! Service is great!

Nice place and great food. Its an open air dining so when the wind blows towards you, cigarette smoke from the outside dining is expected. Loved the Carbonara and the shakes.

Food 4 Food and drinks is decent. Too bad service is one of the worse. Price 4 Price is great for the food and drinks they serve. Parking 3 Ample parking space since its located in a park. Parallel parking stings but better than nothing. Service 1 Dishonest staff will tell you they will give you your change after serving you, but never does. If you never ask they will never give you, your change. This is the 2nd incident.

Nice spot to hang out as it is right at the bank of the sea. Good coffee drinks with reasonable prices. Quite spacious for a coffee shop. Plenty of parking. The indoor area can get a little hot and sticky though especially in mid afternoon because of humidity. Wish they would put air conditioning unit in at least one area for those who want to chill and enjoy the view but do not really want to perspire...

I tried this place a few times. The dining area is very small. The menu is made up of standard Filipino dishes, but is cluttered and confusing. On one occasion we came in for dinner and were told they are doing carryout only; we left. On those times we did eat, it wasn't great. Rice is not especially fresh, the meat was only warm, and the sauce on the meat was cold (meaning, they cooked it first, then put the sauce on). I will come again only if no other options are available. Sal's is right across the street...

The concept is really good and the food is very affordable and delicious. I'm just a bit disappointed with their ensaladang talong, they should have called it ensaladang kamatis, you know. Anyways, I enjoyed it. And for the dessert, you really should try halo-halo. Bon appétit!

Yes, their food is tasty especially the halo halo but their customer service coming from waiters is a downside. They are lazy and very casual and unapproachable. One of the waiters was talking to a friend (customer) and as he was pushed by one of his colleagues to serve us. He gave us a look on his face like "come on I'm still chatting here" and approached us slauching.

I don't know if this was because I came in at 7pm but this was for my dinner. I ordered an affordable meal set just for one. I was looking forqard to a tasty barbecue as I was thinking that samsam is known to have good food. I am certain they have good halo halo, but for my experience, disappointing. My order was quick. It was served fast....but COLD. Cold rice, cold barbecue. I was actually ready to wait thinking hat what I ordered, barbecue, can take some time either to cook or to reheat. But dear oh dear. It was Fast, but COLD.again...Fast but COLD. And on the side was pakbet, few pieces of dry stringbeans, eggplant slices, and Okra. I only the latter as I am allergic to eggplant. It was okay, until i ate the last slicw of okra that can pass geriatrics. Jeezzz... And i agree with the other comment here, the staff is okay albeit unprofessional for being way too casual. They were serving a table where one of the staff was friends with and she would chat with them from the counter to their table about 6 meters away. Talk about Talking out loud. When i went to pay and asked how much was my bill, she was so busy giggling with the another staff and colleague she just accepted my payment without answering nor telling me how much I was supposed to pay. *facepalm.

This my second time coming first time they didn’t get the order right so one watched others eat as one’s dish didn’t get placed. Ok that time I saw a lot of panda taking order. Ok so my lady was ill so I ordered take out. The soap was in a plastic baggie. So better have a container where you take it to. Then no plastic or wood utensils to eat with. Ok so now you eat with fingers. Wait no napkins to wipe your fingers. The take out is the biggest joke I ever experienced as a 56 year old. The people are nice. But they shouldn’t offer take out. Food is good but very expensive if you take out need to purchase things to eat what they called take out.

They serve filipino dishes at affordable prices. Try halo-halo, it's really good , Just the right sweetness .

We came from a tiring field work and we are surprised and satisfied by their food. It is our first time here and we kinda get lost in finding this gem. Serving time is fast and serving size is good as well. But the price is very affordable, we did not expect the bill actually. Staff are very welcoming and approachable, reservation officer is very nice also feeding me information for the last call time and their location. Such a great experience. Will come back here if there’s a chance for sure.

I came here for a birthday celebration about 4-5 years ago. I was not reviewing places back then. Then I got invited to another birthday celebration today. The celebrant got the 2nd floor to herself for 5 hrs inclusive of the food and drinks at a very reasonable price. The food was absolutely great that I skipped my diet. I was literally bursting at the seams. As for the place itself which is in an older house, it's like blend of classic/antique old world charm with some modern finish. The bathroom is clean and tidy. I highly recommend this place for small private gatherings of about 50 persons.

1 star for the service. Most of the servers here specially the ladies are always frowning from the time that we arrived. As a client from Manila, I expected a warm welcome as this restaurant looks beautiful in the inside. Instagrammable as they say. Pero it looks like that they were trained as if they work in fastfood chains that vacant seats matter more than what they offer. There is even a time when another client approached in a not so good way, asking for our table while our group is still having our dinner. Even fastfood chain servers are better than them. Went to Jollibee Palo the other day and people there are very nice and when they ran out of softdrinks, they are very sorry. Whereas in this restaurant, they look at u while u r eating as if u can't afford to pay their bill. Such a bad experience for our group. I hope service will improve as it leaves very bad impressions in the restaurant. When we arrived, we are very happy that Tacloban is recovering post-yolanda that they already have beautiful restaurants and great food. As for the food, we love the Pochero, Cinco pizza, sweet and Sour Lapu Lapu, Baked Salmon and chicken pasta. Calamari is kind of bland. Kani salad is okay. The drinks are okay too.. love that they have wide range of drinks to choose from. The price is good. The atmosphere would have been great.

Sal’s was a nice dining experience in downtown Tacloban. The atmosphere was bright and the dining room was clean and nicely decorated. The wait staff was attentive and friendly although my first waiter, I believe he was a freshly graduated student was not knowledgeable when I asked him questions about the menu choices I was considering. My second waiter Sean was excellent. As for the food I have no complaints. It was served quickly and very hot from the kitchen. My opinion… this is a great little family restaurant that doesn’t disappoint.

Excellent western style food and also offers some Filipino favorites. Place is very small and has excellent service. Hoagie sandwiches are great as is all of the other menu items I have tried. Food is priced very reasonable.

This place is great. If you're from Texas or just from USA then this is the place where you can find all the food you miss! They even have authentic enchiladas! Don't pass this place up. The owner is a super cool guy too.

Small place but nice. Just accross angelicum learning center. They have affordable food choice for the students. Mostly American dish since the owner is Texan.

This place is truly a hidden gem! My whole family and I were visiting family here in Leyte and came to have dinner here at brews and breakfast. All their pastas were amazing!!!! Their cold and hot drinks are also to die for! From the flavor to their freshness everything was great! As if we couldnt have enough we went back couple days later to try their breakfast. And it did not disappoint!! My kids loved the oreo pancake! Me and my husband’s favorite was their spanish latte which was also good! Oh before i forget….the CHEESECAKES!!!! Specially the kalamansi flavor….WOW!!! I encourage everyone to come and try everything they have here! It wont disappoint!!

Their staff is kind enough to accommodate me right on the opening hour. The place is cozy and inviting. Cappuccino does not taste bitter. And the serving of French toast and bacon is large and tastes really good; it justifies the price. I’ll definitely come back.

I went here to have lunch with a friend. I love the porkchop dish (I forgot what it's called). The vinegar sauce is delicious. The pasta, however, is so-so. Small serving for its price of Php210. Maybe they should add more pasta and sauce to fill like 3/4 of the plate. Also, there was only one attending waiter and he had to order someone to buy nachos outside for the order of a customer at the table next to ours. It just shows their supply is not prepared for lunch service.

I've only tried their tres quesos pizza that's why I only gave three stars. It's good but nothing really special. I've had better. And also, when we were there, we saw a cockroach roaming around. Good thing it didn't fly anywhere near us. But still, a cockroach.

The only turn off is the Slow food service, it Takes an hour to wait for food. But they have Large servings of Menu .the food have deliecious sauces. The said best seller pizza is okay but you can taste the nasty after taste of a uncooked well meat on it. the waitress is attending to customers nicely.

This is a sister store of Sanzibar. This place is good for groups. One serving is sooooooo huge it would take two people to finish the whole thing. They have very reasonable prices. I recommend the Fish and Chippies and their Tres Queso Pizza. Their drink are lit!

Restaurant attached to hotel. You select the fresh fish and seafood you want and they cook it to your liking. They also have pork and beef if you aren’t in the mood for seafood. The vegetables chopsuey is a good addition to any fish or meat dish. And they have a basic selection of local beers.

Just went here after reading good reviews. Asked what their best dish was they said the sizzling tuna steak. It was more expensive than all the others but I thought I'd try it. Didn't like it at all. Can't put my finger on what the taste is, but it's just so overpowering. I ate it an hour okay and my mouth still tastes horrible! Maybe their other things are better though. Not sure I'll go back.

Good Filipino restaurant with a coffee shop. They have the usual Filipino dish like bulalo and lechon kawali. The service can be a bit long but it’s worth the wait. They serve really good coffee.

Stumbled across this in Tacloban. Inviting décor. Pleasant and clean on the inside. Actually had some vegetable dishes on the menu! :) I ordered the mixed veg one with rice which was really tasty, it did come topped with some pork though! There are tables placed outside that will afford you of the city street. Background music is cool and the lights add magic to the ambiance. It's nice place to unwind and just chill. The price is reasonable.

Room for improvement would be on music choice, to make it compliment the ambiance, maybe more research for lounge music? All in all had a great exparience.

Wanted to try some wine here, since it's in their name but they had only 2/10 bottles available. And they were expensive. Oh, the nachos. Had my heart broken by the nachos here. They look okay in pictures, but (gasp), they're drizzled in mustard. Never heard of his maneuver in my life but mustard on nachos needs to never happen again on this earth. It feels like what a drunk man does when he has nothing left in his fridge and starts putting whatever on his chips. God save the queen. And spare future nachos a similar fate.

Really delicious meal. The grilled tuna belly was amazing. A number of mains food options not available. Wanted a beer with dinner but restaurant wasn't serving any alcohol. So ordered fruit shakes but they were too sweet for us and an overpowering taste of condensed milk. Some of the deserts on the menu looked amazing but mostly no deserts available.

I ordered spicy wings but ended up with spicy chicken parts. Food was good. Chicken was kind of bathing in oil but was hot and tasted okay. 34 minute wait for food but was pretty much worth the wait. Not much interaction with staff. Overall a satisfying experience and I would come back.

Always the best seafood restaurant in Downtown Tacloban! I love their mixed seafood tinola. Also their cajun seafood. I also tried their pinakbet, which is so flavorful. Overall, this place is highly recommended.

It's not the first time we have eaten here. Came around lunchtime. Not full but had customers. I ordered solo spaghetti and a regular pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni. Spaghetti was okay. Sauce was a little thin but okay. The pizza was good and had the extra pepperoni. The chicken and corn soup was good. The wife said chicken and pizza special were okay. Wait staff were professional and kind. With the exception of my pizza, the food came in a timely manner. Pizza came out a few minutes after the rest of the food. Took a little while to get the check, but it was okay. Overall, we are satisfied with the venue and will come back.

Was there but for Take Out only. From what I saw, very clean, great staff who were very polite, courteous, friendly and from the looks very attentive to guests. Food was great. Wish they had more games for the kids. They only have 1 claw game, that's it. If they had more, I would have no problem in scheduling my child's birthday party there as they advertise on their in-house TVs that showcase kids having fun and playing on many arcade games (basketball, skeeball, video games . . . And such). I only gave 4 stars based on this. Will come back for a dine-in experience and re-review.

My partner and I just ate dinner there and it wasn't a very good experience. We got there and immediately got our orders taken but it took our food approximately around 40 mins. to an hour. Getting additional orders also took around 30 mins. even though it was 2 orders only. We waited for almost an hour to get our bill and for our takeout (which we ordered around the same time we ordered our additional foods). So long story short we were in that place for more than 2 hours because their service was soo bad. idk if its because we're young adults ordering there or it was just a bad time.

The staff and manager there were very accommodating and attentive. I have a big family and we don't want to be separated for table. We just seated to a table for 4-seater, as long as we gonna eat together. The staff were concerned to us and offered other table to seat in but refused as we prefer to eat in a one table even though it was small hahaha. But then, we really needed another 1 table so we agreed to get another table but to be put beside our existing table even though we have a small space already 😂 we fitted in together yey! my family enjoyed eating together, the food and drinks were served fast. Food and drinks were good to our taste buds and went home with a stomach full. We even able to avail the Senior Citizen discount for the additional orders we had. The ambience was nice and comfortable to stay at.

Been able to celebrate a friends birthday here during our vacation in Leyte. The original plan is to have our dinner at the shakeys in Robinson's but we we're not allowed to order anymore since it is almost closing time. We opt to go to Palo branch which is definitely a good move since its way bigger and closing time is later.

Ordered Pork Belly & BBQ Pork. Porky Belly was okay but the BBQ Pork was a bit hard, parang matagal nang luto then ininit nalang upon serving. The Baobing was just okay as well, nothing special 😅 The place wasn't crowded tho and had a nice ambiance.

Most of their menu has too much sweet. The pork belly almost did feel anly flavor. Their rice sauce is has odd taste and so are nuts. Prawn crackers remains good. But what I really love is their Honey Lemon Jasmine Tea and their Choco Brownie Baobing

Soya chicken rice is similar to that at hawker places in Singapore and Hong Kong. It’s not too salty. A bit pricier for the serving, but reasonable because they manage to capture the taste too!

Their letchon macau was a bit hard and sometimes overcooked seeing its roasted part. Also, we experienced poor customer service in this branch—not-so-attentive on customer’s order.

Even if the pizza here is budget-friendly, the actual pizza really tastes great and they don't skimp on the toppings. You have lots of pizza options including the type of cheese you'd like. So if you're kind of tired of mozzarella cheese pizza, try the quick melt version. This place, I believe is a takeaway and delivery hub but with the two or 3 tables I saw. Dining in could be an option. Off-street parking is available for those who are picking up or waiting for their orders.

A restaurant that deserves 5 stars but... When we were looking for a nice dinner Bigsby is the nearest to our hotel. That is the only reason why we went in. However, our first impression were tarnish by one of the waiter who are rude, unprofessional in dealings with customers and does seems to be happy with his work. I think his name is Aries, the waiter that does not smile. However, we chose to ignore him and sat down to order. We a greeted by waitress who changes our opinion of this place. She served us well and her smile makes my night. Then there was Kim, a beautiful young lady who puts in effort in her service. We chat a little and she is pleasant, friendly and respectful. I hope the management take note of her good work. It was rather crowded that night but we got our food within 15 minutes, the time they said it will arrive. All the food were great and I specifically loved the Kinilaw Nga Isda - CDO sinuglaw (Raw fish marinated in Vinegar and onion, cucumber and tomato) It is similar to Japanese Sashimi, and could be more flavouring. The fish was very fresh and even for my friend, it is his first time and devoured the fish. We ordered the seafood platter with garlic rice. But a little disappointed with the rice. The garlic rice was not fried well and it become sticky and lumpy. The garlic taste was not strong enough. That is the reason why they don't deserve a full 5 star rating on the food but the shrimp sauté with aligue sauce was splendid touch. Still garlic rice was disappointing, especially, it is a part of Philippines. We also order Mojo Chicken Q - grilled chicken with Cuban Rice and it was great. There was an interval performance by the staff. A little presentation where they said they were happy to serve us. That was a special touch. Sadly, I didn't caught much of it with my phone. It was too sudden and thankfully I don't have a heart attack. LOL. I certainly highly recommend this place and if I'm back to Tacloban, I'll be back.

I love the food at Bigby’s Restaurant! The servings are quite big, which makes the price reasonable—except for the sisig, which feels a bit small compared to the rest. However, the service can be slow, especially during busy times. There was one dinner with my classmates (about 7-8 of us) where the wait was really long. One of my classmates didn’t get her order because they forgot to take note of it, probably because there were so many customers. They offered to cook it after we followed up, but she was already disappointed and just canceled the order. Luckily, she stayed calm and kind despite the situation. On a positive note, their service has improved lately, which is a good sign. Hopefully, they keep it up because the food is really worth it!

A charming cafe restaurant in Zamora Street, Tacloban. Its name says it all - it does do desserts and sweets, but also has a very nice menu of local dishes, pastas, burgers and sandwiches. A very pleasant interior and very close to the XYZ Hotel and banks make it a great place to have coffee and a light meal.

Honestly, I was kinda broke when I came here so all I got to order was a slice of their custard cake. But damn, that was a good slice, though kind of pricey for a slice. If you have enough money (we're talking at least Php 200 or 300), this is a good place. It has such good interior designing, too.

My milkshake had a lot of plastic bits in it and I almost choked on it. When I complained, they didn't change it or made any compensation. What a shame though since the food was delicious

First time to this venue. Off the main highway headed out of Palo toward Jaro. Hotel sits next to it. Walking into the venue you're greeted with a very nice atmosphere. Clean, organized and looks upscale. And bread displayed in an appetizing manner. (I love sourdough bread). Ordered our food and drinks. The food was brought within a minute of each other, and it was wonderfully hot. You could tell it came fresh off the stove. The menu was nice, not overwhelming with a hundred different items. I surely bought some bread 🍞🍞🍞 and butter🧈🧈🧈 before we left. A venue truly worth visiting. The staff was all smiles and professional in everyway. We even laughed together, me looking like a Filipino but only able to speak English. 🤗🤗🤗 Truly a great experience and we will definitely come back soon.

Amazing and fresh pastries and not too expensive. We were able to get 4 drinks and a whole bunch of pastries (madeleines, mint choco bread, apple tart, eclair) for just over 1000. The cafe inside is very cute and cozy, and there are outdoor seating options as well. Definitely the best quality pastries I’ve had in the Tacloban area!!

Just a small place good if you're alone yo have some time with yourself not recommended for loud groups because the place is usually quiet. The food is decent but served in small quantity. But a good place right at the heart but slightly away from the noise of the city.

Cafe 22 has moved out of the down town area and is situated next to the historic building of Imelda's home. Cafe is small with a rustic outdoor vibe, fans to keep you cool, and with decor of potted plants. Coffee is doable but I would recommend to visit in the evening when it's not as hot.

February 14, 2019 09:50PM: We checked-in at Summit Hotel. We went to Highside to take out food. We took our order then here's the waiter named GERALD. We politely asked him if someone could deliver our food to Summit Hotel lobby (thinking that it's just a few steps away from Highside), coz we do not want to wait at the restau. Then he said that no one could deliver because they do not have someone to deliver the food. But as we can see there are lots of staffs there -- they even have OJT staffs. He was insisting that they could not deliver the food. We just canceled our order. And someone came after us outside to clarify regarding our order but told him that it is canceled. They really do not have a good customer service! (P.S. Gerald threw their menu board off the table and was saying something -- he was like mad or something. That was the reason we canceled our order) Please please please have good customer service.

I ordered lunch for 3 colleagues - onecluch arrived after 20 minutes, club sandwich which consistrd of half a cheese slice and one slice tomato. Second dish was cold, ham urger and fries. 3rd never arrived at all. After asking 3 times where my tuna mayo sandwich was, I just got blank stares. Blacklisted.

Celebrated Christmas dinner at FyZZ and had the opportunity to visit with Santa. Food here is consistently delicious and service is excellent. Dinner was Beef Salpicao, English Fish and Chips, Crispy Chicken Skin and Potato Wedges. Fish was Beer battered and fried perfectly. Fish was fresh and delicious; fries were perfect. Beef Salpicao had a great flavor, was tender and was a generous portion. Chicken skin was lightly breaded then fried until crispy. Potato wedges were tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Both were well seasoned. Dessert was Molten Chocolate cake with ice cream. Very, very delicious.

This is the best restaurant to ever go there. It may almost have a similar menu like Q-Kitchen and ABC Cafe but they have the best options that this restaurant has to offer.

I’m a regular at Fyzz mostly in part of its diverse menu. Ordered the Salomos Angel Hair recently. The plating was a little sloppy and the sauce was too salty. However the ambiance was good.

Matcha cheesecake 7/10 a little too strong for my taste (depends on your preference) Considering how easy our orders are compared to the rest of the menu, I’m hoping they work harder for the other dishes that require actual cooking. Will be back to try other stuff. But all in all, we enjoyed the food. Arigato Gozaimasu!

The view and food was great. I ordered san mig light to cap the night but it tasted like rust. They changed it immediately but it still tasted like rust. They still charged me for it even if i did not drink it 👎

Waited 15 minutes just to try and order a drink. Only three small parties were present and many servers just standing feet away, but nobody bothered to wait on me. The music is too loud as well, so I simply got up and left.

One of the Japanese Restaurants with great ambience and superb service. Kenneth was very attentive. Food is very tasty. Love the dynamite roll ❤️

Everything was great, Sushi are delicious , the drinks were also fantastic . But the music was really loud for a romantic dinner I highly recommend it for a unique experience

Had an amazing lunch here! Thai food is well-seasoned, they also had Ilocano Cuisine which is rare to find. Servings were generous and the staff are hospitable. Note though that they close at around 2 pm and reopen at 5 for dinner service so time your meals accordingly!

Village Chefs by the Little Green Kitchen is an advocate of healthy Asian cuisines. For starters, I would suggest you go for the Tom Yum Goong. Warning, it's hot and spicy and it's a good warm up for the main course. A lot of restaurants in Tacloban serve crispy Kangkong but Village Chefs' version is on a different level. It's a big hit and one of their best sellers. It's goes perfectly well with the buttered garlic scallops. They also serve Filipino classics, try the Fried BB Chicken and Kare Kare. FYI, serving time takes about 30-40 minutes but the wait is all worth it when you leave with a full and happy stomach. 😊👌 They're available on all food delivery platforms. 🛵

I have enjoyed their food before but this time we were served with a rancid buttered chicken; it tasted off. We tried communicating with the restaurant with this issue we encountered but they are slow to respond and resolve this health concern. It still remains unresolved as of this writing. This makes me question their sanitation practices and I cannot imagine what happens in their kitchen for them to serve this kind of food. This restaurant is a health hazard.

Arrived at the restaurant at right before 7pm, we were the first party to arrive and order - got our food about one hour later at 8pm. After following up, staff said we were the last to be served as parties before us had their reservation. Food arrives after one hour and it was cold. It was evident they forgot about us and the food was just lying there without being served. I mentioned to the staff that the food was cold but she didn't acknowledge anything and just said it was 'kakaluto Lang' without actually acknowledging what happened and being dismissive of my comment. They also forgot about our rice that they didn't serve us any - when again I asked about the rice said they ran out as they had already served the last portion to the other table. If I hadn't asked them, we probably would have had our meal without actual rice. Actually lost my appetite did not eat the food anymore so I just paid 1800 for actual nothing. Ended up having dinner at Jollibee instead which was better honestly. Notwithstanding that 1800 was just for 2 pax and a toddler. Worst restaurant experience in Tacloban so far. Good luck. Sidenote: they were selling random things in the restaurant like bottled goods, artisinal salt etc but when asked about the price they did not know this and wasn't actually expecting anyone to buy it. Weird but okay sure.

Sooo Yum! We truly enjoyed our dinner here. Fusion dishes were so delightful and courteously presented by attentive staff, in a lovely ambience...all the dishes were awesome...must try!
