Nestled in the charming village of Gharb, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu is a stunning example of Neo-Romantic architecture that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding sea. This revered site has been a pilgrimage destination since 1883 when a local woman reported hearing the voice of the Virgin Mary.
A truly special and peaceful place. The Ta’ Pinu Basilica is not only beautiful from the outside with its stunning architecture, but the inside has a calming, spiritual atmosphere. The story behind it — of a local woman hearing the Virgin Mary’s voice in the 1880s — makes the place feel even more meaningful. There are rooms full of heartfelt messages and thank-yous from people all over the world. If you have time, walk up the nearby hill with the Stations of the Cross — the views are amazing. Definitely worth a visit whether you’re religious or just appreciate history and quiet places.

Beautiful Basilica. Take the time to walk around. Sad to see all of the items in the shrine rooms. Walk up the hill opposite to see marble statues and get a great view if you ignore the crane 😊
Julie F — Google review
Very nice enormous basilica with a touching story emblematic of the history and culture of Malta. Eminently walkable area and along many tour bus routes for a 10-minute photo stop. Highly recommend walking around outside and inside to catch all the gems of this wonderful place!
Danielle O — Google review
This a beautiful Catholic Shrine of Blessed irgin Mary. The story of the church and Shrine is uniquely beautiful. The church has been build out of small Chapel where the picture of Mother Mary of TA' PINU is located. Inside is the gallery with pictures and letters of all miracles and healing that took place as of Mother Mary and Frances. The basilica is very peaceful inside. The church is not open at all times. Modesty is necessary when coming to holy space like Shrine.

Another amazing architectural wonder. Such a scared site and a blessing to experience this powerful space. So cool to check out even though I am not religious but rather spiritual.
Luke L — Google review
A truly breathtaking church in Gozo. The architecture is stunning inside and out, with incredible attention to detail. You can really feel the history and spirituality as soon as you walk in – it has such a peaceful and moving atmosphere. A must-visit if you’re exploring Gozo, whether for faith, history, or just to admire its beauty.
Sofie S — Google review
The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu, nestled in the peaceful Gozitan countryside, is undoubtedly an impressive neo-Romanesque structure. I enjoyed visiting the site, and its architectural grandeur, particularly the towering bell tower and the beautiful mosaics outside, certainly make for a visually striking destination. It has a compelling history rooted in local tradition, dating back to a 19th-century peasant who allegedly heard the voice of the Virgin Mary in the original, much smaller chapel, which now sits behind the main altar. While the atmosphere is serene and it holds immense religious importance for the Maltese, beyond the stunning facade and the interesting back story, the visit itself wasn't a supremely unforgettable experience compared to some other world-class pilgrimage sites. Nevertheless, it is a significant cultural and spiritual landmark on the island of Gozo.

Stuning surroundings and architecture, holy place, the murals in front of the Church are amazingly handcrafted. Do not miss this on your trip to Gozo, a definitive must see. 👌👍

Azure Window, located in San Lawrenz, Malta, is a must-see natural attraction. This stunning rock formation offers breathtaking views of the sea and is a popular spot for visitors to admire the beauty of nature. The Azure Window is a magnificent sight that captivates all who visit, making it an ideal place to spend time soaking in the wonders of the world.
Sometimes when restaurant is located in tourist place it is not tasty! But here is the exceptional! Delicious food, friendly staff and stunning view. But I recommend to book a table, then go to sightseeing and come back! Lamb was fantastic, octopus and rabbit also were so delicious.

visited with family on 13.7.2025 in the early evening. Restaurant in a strategic location with a beautiful view of the local nature and the sea. Upon entering, the attentive staff immediately noticed us and seated us. The restaurant is clean and cozy. I had fresh fish for dinner, my girlfriend had spaghetti with seafood, and my child had chicken nuggets. Rating? I was very pleasantly surprised by the professional approach of the staff, who were very helpful. The food was very tasty and aesthetically at a high level. As a traveler, I recommend this restaurant and thank you very much for a great experience. Salut from Czech republic 🇨🇿

I've been in Gozo for two weeks now and have tried most of the island's top restaurants — some fancy, some expensive, and some with just average food. But this place truly stands out. The service is absolutely fantastic, the food is incredibly tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. It’s rare to find a place that hits all the marks so well. During our visit, we also had a great conversation with the owner, who has been running this restaurant for over 40 years. He spoke with genuine passion about keeping things simple and honest — no unnecessary twists, no over-seasoning, just real, traditional cooking done right. They use fresh fish from local suppliers, which makes a huge difference in flavor and quality. You can feel that this place has soul. After all the places we’ve tried, this is by far the best. I can’t recommend it enough.
Lukasz M — Google review
Very good food for such a commercial place. I recommend the chicken with almond sauce. On the menu, you’ll find classic beers, as well as a wide selection of cocktails and wines. The prices are pretty much the same as in Valletta, Malta.

Best restaurant what we have discovered while staying in Gozo! Place with devoted attention to the slightest detail - good quality food, exceptional service, friendly and welcoming staff, nice atmosphere and of course affordable prices. We even enjoyed eating at this place two times for dinner - just because one time experience here wasn’t enough! And of course wonderful sunset!👍
Ervīns S — Google review
Exceptional service from Irmine, and this is with the lens of spending years working in top restaurants. Just perfect balance of attention and meaningful, not upselling type of advice. Thank you to chefs too, the food was made with taste, fresh and wonderful flavours. The breathtaking sunset is just round a corner, so worth visiting before or after to enjoy that. In daylight you get slightly distanced Dwejra bay view. Chill out background music makes it a definitely a relaxing meal during quieter time. Lovely experience to carry. Thank you. 🐟🐙🍅🫒

Great restaurant, we had a fresh fish of the day (Merluzzo), made with garlic and herbs and super delicious sides like veggies, french fries, potatoes and salad.

Amazing place with excellent view. Clean and people working there are very nice, smiling and helpful. Sea bass grilled very tasty. Only one dish was not good, french fries. Fried in deep oil and it was like potato drunk oil. So the feeling was to eat oil in shape of french fries. Beside that, perfect.

Park
Villa Rundle Gardens is a charming local park located in the heart of the city, featuring beautifully landscaped gardens and a tranquil atmosphere. The park boasts a variety of native and imported trees, such as jacarandas and mulberry trees. Visitors can enjoy the serene surroundings, complete with fountains and a picturesque wooden bridge. While strolling through the gardens, guests may encounter friendly cats cared for by volunteers.
I went here over the Christmas holiday and cannot wait to go back. I hear it is beautiful year round, would love to see it during other seasons. The lights were beautiful and there were so many great displays. There were many families there enjoying the event, food stalls and vendors were selling unique presents for the holiday. If you are in the area, this is something you should make time to do.

Went here during Christmas time and it was such a special experience. I would love to come here again during the daytime to fully appreciate its flora. The lighted statues were beautiful ❤️

Wied il-Għasri

Wied il-Għasri, also known as Ghasri Valley, is a picturesque coastal gorge in Malta offering a variety of activities. Visitors can enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the turquoise river that extends from the sea to the mountains. The valley features a small pebble beach surrounded by spectacular scenery, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.
The view was exceptional. The photos do not do it justice and it is an absolute must see. Only recommend swimming deeper I for more confident swimmers but every level of swimmer should get in, if even up to their ankle or waist. We allocated 1 hour bit ended up spending 3 because it was so beautiful
BusyThrone — Google review
A beautiful hidden away cove with crystal clear waters. It was almost deserted when we got there. A little kiosk at the top for fruit and hydration - but only takes cash so be prepared. Cheap umbrella & sunbed hire but we spent more time in the water than lying on the rocks so we didn’t hire anything. You can swim under the rocks and swim in the water in the shade if you want to get out of the sun. Some steep steps to get down there, but families with young kids were managing fine. Would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues or those not stable on their feet. This was the highlight of our Gozo trip! Just beautiful!
Patricia G — Google review
Beautiful sheltered & shaded pebble beach within a high-sided gorge connected to the sea. Well worth the walk down the steep steps from the gravel track at the top. In calm conditions and if you’re comfortable with 200m swim each way, a snorkel out to the open sea is also a great experience.
Sam C — Google review
Really cool place to snorkel in Gozo. Dramatic scenery with water clearer as you get away from the tiny beach. The road leading to a small parking place is very rugged but ok for most cars. The decent is steep but there's some steps to use. Really worthwhile to visit.
Piotr W — Google review
Great place to visit for a cool swim BUT the water is quite dirty. I am sure the authorities can keep cleaner. For small cars, the last 200 meters are challenging, better to leave it park on the main road. If you are traveling with kids, bear in mind the stairs.
Abner P — Google review
From Viktoria, take 309 bus and stop at Onici. You will have to walk straight down until you’re near the sea - it will take you about 20mins. If you have a car, you can go directly 1) until you see a lot of cars parked 2) go past the rough road. Either way, you will see a ‘natural’ staircase. Follow it. You can rent sunbeds and umbrella but there are no restrooms or shower area. The water is refreshing and clear when we went there and there is a covered area where you can swim under the shade. There is also an area for kids but the water goes deeper as you swim in the middle. People dive in this area. I would also recommend wearing aqua shoes as the stones are quite painful to walk with barefoot.
Rosemarie T — Google review
Takes about 10 minutes to walk down from where our uber could drop us. We decided against a swim as we thought the water looked quite dirty. I do REALLY recommend however walking along the coast from here to the next beach along across the salt pans, incredible geology and stunning cliff top views, very easy and flat walk right to next destination and takes about 30 mins
Laura B — Google review
The water was gone. It is dry now, but it is still beautiful to walk on the edge of the island and discover the salt pans.

Wied il-Mielaħ is a scenic rock formation by the sea resembling a window that can be reached through a long stairway with handrails. While it's challenging to access, visitors can enjoy the stunning view of the crystal-clear water reflecting the sunshine through the blue window. The best time to visit is in the morning or at noon before shadows form due to westward sunsets. The high cliffs and deep blue waters offer an incredible view that one must experience for an extended period.
It may remind a bit of Azure Window, but in any case another beautiful place in Gozo that you should not miss. The road by car is a bit narrower, but not stressful, at the end you will also find a parking space 😁. You can enjoy breathtaking views, this is definitely worth it. I am more worried that climbers and turists will gradually disturb this place and it will collapse like its more famous brother in 2017, which would be a shame.
Peter S — Google review
Beautiful! Haven't got a chance to see Azure Window when it was still above the ground, but I think Wied il-Mielah is a nice "replacement". It's amazing, the view made me breathtakingly calm ❤️ You can make a lunch break there as well! ☀️☺️☀️ I recommend walking in Gozo, in general, but especially to this place. It's nice to go with the bus to Zebbug and from there walk to Wied il-Gharsi (amazing) and then to wied il-mielah and from there to Gharb or San Lawrenz to take a bus back. And for those who really like to walk It's nice to go from wied il-mielah to the "sunsets cliffs" (probably through Gharb) most beautiful spot and by the cliffs It's a nice walk down to Dwejra Bay, but this route is for Island explorers, highly recommended for everyone tho. Cheers, see you at the cliffs 💃 (Video is from a really windy day, don't be scared 😅)
Maja G — Google review
...I can’t find a word good enough to describe Malta’s stunning nature. Wied il-Mielah stands out with its beautiful coastal cliffs… a true rest for the soul and body…
Tanja B — Google review
Spectacular stone arch that you can walk out across on the left side of the valley (best to do this first, if you don't like heights), with a narrow staircase on the right side leading down to a great view of what's beneath where you were just standing (or not). It's an easy walk and there's parking nearby. If you go past the top of the stairs instead, out to the edge, then follow the clifftop around to the right, there's a ledge a couple of meters wide that you can walk along to see a huge cave a little further along the coast. Back at the car park, there's a road to the east that takes you along the cliffs to Wied il-Għasri, which is also well worth a visit.
John B — Google review
It was an interesting drive to get there. It's a really fun one :)) The place itself is beautiful, easy to get to. There are stairs that go down, they're well made and safe.
Aurėja M — Google review
Walk the trail down the side of the cliff. You are limited in view as it is blocked off towards the end Because it has become eroded, but still a wonderful view.
Jonesphoto_91 P — Google review
A fantastic geological experience, a truly wonderful visit to this rock formation that 30 million years ago was the seabed, if you look carefully you will find millions of fossils buried in the rock on which you walk. You can also take a walk down a staircase to view the Weid IL Mielah window
Stephen S — Google review
Very beautiful landscape and veiw over the sea and surounding cliffs. The Window looks like on the end of the world. It is also good for climbing. In that part of the island you can see a lot of cliffs over 50m heigh.

Casa Vostra is a new restaurant located in the heart of Rabat, offering an innovative menu with top-notch burgers, fresh pasta, and standout pizzas. The gourmet pizza selection features unique flavor combinations that are sure to impress. In addition to their renowned pizzas, Casa Vostra also serves delicious starters, pasta dishes, and desserts. This gem in Victoria is a haven for Italian food lovers and a must-visit when heading to Gozo.
Absolutely fantastic. The pizzas are cooked to perfection, the bases so flavoursome and the combination of toppings like nowhere else we’ve been. The pasta dishes are divine. Everything is fairly priced for the quality and the staff are very welcoming. We have eaten there two nights running now and can’t wait to return tonight. Their tiramisu is off the charts. My husband hates it normally and loved theirs! Oh and they can do smaller portions for children too - it doesn’t say on the menu but just ask. They are so helpful. Lovely vibe in there too. And open great hours.

Best pizza and ragu pasta I have had, amazing for the prices they have, especially compared to other restaurants. I stayed in Gozo for 2 days and only eaten here. The waiters are amazing and kind enough to get us a table even when we didn't have a reservation. Short, but great menu, ask the waiters for desserts.
Ale P — Google review
Food was great. We have eaten a lot of pizzas but this one was the best! Pizza dough and crust are amazing. Caramella is very interesting pizza with tuna chunks and light caramelised onion and great buratta cheese. The combination is great and pizza is very light so you won't feel heavy after a meal. Pork Fiction is also very interesting pizza, not only because it doesn't have any tomato sauce which is replaced by homemade bell pepper cream. The combination of bell pepper cream, Porchetta and spicy mango is a winning combo. We truly recommend Casa Vostra to everyone. Stuff was lovely and kind. We came without reservation but they still managed to find a table for us. But we recommend to make a reservation.
Ivan R — Google review
One of the best Pizzas I've had in my life, without a doubt. We had the Pzza Caramella, and the Potato Terrine, both of which were outstanding. The same goes for the service - attentive, professional, well coordinated. This place is a gem! Come here, you won't regret it!
Stefan K — Google review
Casa Vostra was a great pizza stop on Gozo Island- food was fantastic and the outdoor seating had a nice vibe. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow. We waited about 10 minutes before being greeted, and our pizza arrived nearly 25 minutes after the appetizer, even though other tables who arrived later were served, ate and paid before our 1 pizza came out. The food was definitely worth it, but with limited time on the island, spending over an hour for a simple meal wasn’t ideal.
T R — Google review
Truly a gem we have found in Victoria on Gozo. From the moment you enter the restaurant you feel fantastic. At the entrance the pizzas are prepared for everyone to see. The whole design of the restaurant is beautiful, I especially liked the way the space is lighted and of course all the decorations. Friendly and welcoming staff. Interesting varieties of pizza to choose from. The food itself was delicious. We would love to come back some day.
Ján K — Google review
Amazing. One of the best places to eat not only in Gozo but in Malta as well. What we had ordered was truly fantastic. The environment was great too. About prices, pizzas starts in 12 euros. The beer was great as well.
Luiz M — Google review
Hands down the best pizza you’ll find in Malta! If you’re a pizza lover like me, don’t miss this 🍕 their pizza menu is very creative and even though I usually love a simple margharita, I’m glad I tried those unique combinations of flavors. Their homemade lemonade and tiramisu are also top notch. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm. Great experience overall. ☺️ It’s usually very busy, so definitely make a reservation beforehand.

We ate here last year and twice this holiday in August 2025. Each time did not disappoint. Such a lovely spot in the square and the staff are really friendly and accommodating. The fish was superb, with tuna, red snapper, lampuki and lobster on offer. The pasta dishes and steak were also fabulous. We had a very nice dinner at The View. The menu looked very attractive and nicely picked wine list. Specialties of the day had 5! types of fish, apart from other dishes. We definitely enjoyed the evening.

As the name suggests, this establishments gives access to some really beautiful Gozo landscape views, especially in the evening when the sun is setting. We were offered some fresh bread and appetizers on the house, which were really good. The ribs were amazing, very tender and the fried potatoes substituted traditional fries in a way that surprises me that not more restaurants are doing so. The beetroot sauce was also unexpected but great (thought it was ketchup before tasting it!). Finally to finish off the night, the imqaret dessert was delectable, but we expected to have at least two imqaret, not one split diagonally. All in all, this place delivers delicious food. Will return.

Had a fantastic meal last night with friends. Booked from England and the staff were really helpful and quick to reply. The View, indeed, has a stunning view. The food was superb and the staff very friendly. Highly recommend the bruschetta with Parma ham and figs and the fresh tomatoes. The calamari was excellent. Will absolutely return next year. Thank you for a lovely evening with our friends.

EXCELLENT FOOD! Really beautiful location, wonderful sunset and view of the lighthouse, the staff were really helpful and attentive. The food was really fantastic. I had the local sausage starter and the beef tagliata which were both cooked to perfection, my wife had delicious clams and mussels starter and then half rack of ribs, which was big enough. Thanks for a great meal,

Everything about this place is amazing! From the view itself, the cute little cats around the restaurant and most importantly, the food and service is impeccable. Will definitely revisit and reserve a table on the terrace. Very important to book before. We shared the aubergine and scamorza ravioli as a started, then a ribeye and duck Breast as mains ( the sweet potato fries and seasonal veg are amazing too) and date fritters (local imqaret) for dessert. All in all a high quality dinner.

The vibe was cute, really sweet and romantic music. All our food was amazing! We also ordered the date fritters, chocolate lava cake and Maltese gelato for dessert which were all delicious! There is a beautiful view but also the option to sit inside. All the employees were nice and welcoming. Was more on the expensive side but totally worth it!

Amazing restaurant with great view and service. Food was delicious and also there was a cute little visitor when I was there (cat). They also gave us blankets when it got cold . Loved everything and would recommend.

Ta' Ċenċ Il-Kantra is a restaurant with breath-taking views that serves up delicious food. The service is excellent and the staff are kind. The food is filling and there's plenty of it on the menu. It's a perfect place to spend a Saturday lunch.
Something amazing, beautiful and simple restaurant, maybe the best view, from your table you have a view on 💚 green part of Gozo, all Blue lagonn and Comino and Melieha city in Malta. Food is something amazing and very very delicious, small and simple food menu, but everything is fresh and local. I trie almost everything 5 ⭐ star pasta, amazing fresh fish or tomahawk on grill, everything delicious, great service also, big wine list, homemade 🎂 sweets, well done, great job. Price is like in every restaurant on Malta, regular price, great value. Plus they have 30 -40 amazing sunbeds, High recommended

Absolute hidden gem of a place. It's down a long road that feels like you couldn't possibly be ending up at a lovely restaurant. Once there though you are made to feel right at home. The staff were fantastic, and the food was incredible! We had the mussels to start, and then the sea bream and tuna. Some of the nicest fish we have had! Would highly recommend.

Tucked away in a peaceful, secluded area, this restaurant offers a truly memorable experience. The atmosphere is serene, with a beautiful sunset and a fresh autumn breeze setting the perfect mood for a relaxing visit. The food was absolutely delicious — thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Whether you’re in the mood for a small lunch or just a refreshing drink, it’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy quality time. We kept it simple and shared a few dishes, and everything was full of flavor. What made it even better was the friendly and welcoming staff who made us feel right at home. Definitely worth a visit — whether for a full meal or just a taste of what this lovely place has to offer.

Ta’ Cenc il-Kantra Put this restaurant on your ‘must-go’ list when you come to Gozo. It specializes in just-caught Mediterranean fish and Maltese and Gozitan traditional cuisine. This is a restaurant that you want to be in no hurry after you arrive. The views are mesmerizing. Located on a cliff between two inlets of water cut by earthquakes thousands of years ago. The beauty is equally matched by the fabulous food. Ask to see the fish from the morning's catch. Depending on the season, you can count on Lampuki. ( called Mahi-Mahi or Dolphin fish in other parts of the world), Salmon, Octopus, Sea Bass, and Snapper, just to name a few. Fresh pasta is available as well as Vegan selections. If you are a beef lover, there is a mouth-watering steak to satisfy your hunger. Il-Kantra’s wine list will please a variety of tastes as well as your budget. After your meal, you can relax on a sunbed with an umbrella down below to soak-up some sun and the outstanding views of the sea and the islands of Comino and Malta. Located on the outskirts of the village of Sannat you will need a car and GPS to find your way there. We take a Bolt to be sure we arrive there and back home safely because we enjoy the wine list.

We arrived at 18:15 with the idea of having pre-drinks and enjoying scenery. Ordered Negronis and apparently they were out of the usual gin. When our drinks arrived, they told us that those will be our last Negronis as they run out of gin to make it. We were planning to have wine after that anyway. We ordered a bottle of Primitivo di Manduria, but it came like 30 minutes after we ordered. Ordered antipasti, came out 30 minutes after. We ordered 2 al pascatore, came like an hour later. We already drank almost half of the wine bottle by 20:00 and our food arrived at 20:30. The pasta were tasty but too salty for us. This restaurant by the cliff was managed by Hotel Ta’ Cenc Resort and Spa, which is a 5-star hotel, so our expectation was high. They served us bread in a paper bag (not a plate or bread basket) in the middle of our mains so we wouldn’t be able to enjoy them. They only have one waiter and the other staff refused to take orders. The waiter also gave a wrong table for another customers, so they asked them to move to another table. This is poor service. They didn’t clean the table immediately. They argued with each other (bus boy and waiter) in public so we can hear what they’re talking about. That is poor service. It doesn’t matter if you serve great food but with bad services, it ruined everything.

What a surprise! First the restaurant in the hotel is good, but this one, well, it was better. You have the view, you can swim and the portions are just... Huge! ( so be carful, ask for less side if you are not a glouton like me)

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Ġgantija Archaeological Park, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Sanap Cliffs. All together, your day would be filled with about 6 hours of non-stop fun.

Archaeological museum
Historical landmark
Museum
The Ggantija Temples, a UNESCO-listed archaeological site located in the village of Xaghra plateau, are believed to be the oldest freestanding monuments in the world. Dating back to 3600 BCE to 3200 BCE during the Copper Age, these temples predate famous landmarks such as Stonehenge and the Pyramids.
If you are interested in ancient history of humanity or architecture then Ggantija is a perfect place to visit. The shear size of the megalithic stones are a sight to behold and will leave you full of questions. How did they move the huge stones? Why was it built? Who built it? How old really is it? As you enter the site you make your way through the museum first and can read about the myth of it being built by a giant and veiw various artifacts found around the temple. You can also have a guided tour via QR codes at each point of interest. They provide toilets located in the museum and whole site is wheelchair accessible. Also I would recommend that you visit the old windmill a few streets away first. The admission to the windmill comes with a discount for the admission to the temple. Soo if you are in Gozo I would definitely recommend to all history buffs.
Lucid F — Google review
Got there early so could read all exhibits and get around without too many people. Initial building is nice and lots of interesting exhibits that bring the temple to life. Super easy to get around. Really worthwhile visit.
Danny A — Google review
The temple was smaller than expected, so don't have expectations based on the name 😄 The small museum that you enter first is quite interesting, but there were two guided companies at the same time as us and they were loud and took a lot of space, so we had to go back to the museum afterwards to see the rest. If you want to get a feel of the place, set aside time to just be there (and maybe wait for guided tours to move on). If you are lucky and can be in one of the temple areas alone, you can better get a sense of the energy and history of the place. You can easily get through it in less than an hour, but if you have time, just enjoy the surroundings and the magical sensation of a temple older than the pyramids.
Michelle A — Google review
Very interesting megalithic/neolithic site, not a far drive from Victoria. Available drop off with the hop on hop off tour. Entry is €10 per person. A couple of toilets on site near entry and exit. The museum portion is short and sweet but still very interesting with many artifacts from this site and others around Gozo. Some scaffolding still in place supporting the structure but the site is still mostly visible. Well worth a visit.
Joel B — Google review
Oldest free standing manmade structures in the world! A thousand years older than the pyramids of Egypt! Excellent museum. Self guided tour around the walls
Daniel À — Google review
Exceeded our expectations. The entrance looked very modest but the exhibition of very early artefacts was stunningly beautiful and impressive. It's hard to imagine that so much creative and functional workmanship can be achieved without the use of metal implements. Even more surprising and impressive was the construction of the multi-chambered building on the site. Quite how this was achieved in an age of low-tech is a mystery. The staff were polite and very helpful. The gift shop was well stocked with an eclectic mix of quality souvenirs, publications etc and (of course) the usual tasteless crap un the budget cost range. Whilst our visit was overall a positive experience, it was somewhat marred by the large tour parties with loud group leaders. To be avoided! Suggested visit duration - not less than an hour. Highly recommended.

Xerri's Grotto is a natural underground wonder located in the northeastern part of Gozo, near the capital Victoria. It features stunning stalagmites and stalactites formed over thousands of years by rainwater filtering through limestone. The cave was discovered in 1924 when a well was being dug, and now visitors can explore it via a spiral staircase illuminated by electric lights.
Very neat little attraction you would not expect in the center of a town. The story goes the man's grandfather was digging down to search for water and came across this cave. The stairs descend about 25 ish feet into the ground, and one thing that shocked me was how warm it was. Usually, caves in the ground are 70 degrees F, but this was closer to 80 or 85 degrees. Entry was only 3 euro per person and worth it for a quick stop.

Not very big, but worth a visit if you're nearby. The story - finding a cave while digging a well, and the spending years to dig it out - is fascinating. We were given a tour by the great-great-great-great-grandson 🙂

Pretty incredible little stop in the city, the two granddaughters of the man who discovered the cavern face a very good guided tour. Would recommend if you’re trying to get out of the heat for a bit.

Well worth a visit and very beautiful to see. The tour was great and very interesting. We were shown round by a little old Maltese lady who was the granddaughter of the man who discovered it while digging it out for a well. She told stories and the names of different stalactites and rock formations that have been passed down through generations. The tour lasted about 30 minutes and has no set price, all she asked is for a small donation minimum of 3 euros. But feel free to donate more as it's well worth it.
Lucid F — Google review
Lovely little grotto underneath the houses. Lots of other posts with info and I wouldn’t want to take away from the hosts presentation as we were shown around by a great, great (not sure how many greats) granddaughter and younger sister (?) of the man that first dug in to the grotto. Very sweet and worth a quick visit.
Bill L — Google review
One of the most unique experiences in Gozo. The cave is 8 meters below the ground, and the tour is led by a descendant of the man who discovered it, which makes it even more special. She explains things really well.

What an amazing place, and even more surprised by its location. We have never visited a cave that is literally under a huge house. 101 years ago, a man was looking for water, dug a well, and found this small but amazing cave. We highly recommend it. The entrance fee is symbolic 3eur per person, but since the service is with a guide, it is really worth it. Highly recommended 10/10

Xerri's Grotto was discovered by this 79 year old lady's husband's grand father in 1920s and after digging and excavation, opened up after 2nd world war. What a hidden gem , going down 34 steps or 8 meters under ground, they have another well which is another 9 m deep and still being used .

Basilica Rotunda St. John Baptist Church, a well-known Catholic church established in 1678, boasts impressive stone architecture and sculpture. Its revered rotunda, paintings, and marble floors are noteworthy attractions. Visitors can take a lift to the roof for a complete view of the island including Comino and Malta at a cost of 3 euros. Climbing to the bells is also an option but not recommended when they are ringing due to its deafening impact.
This is the biggest church in Gozo and boasts the third largest unsupported dome in the world. It's so beautiful, and 3 weeks ago, the scaffolding got stuck by lighting and 100k of damage. The lift was out of order when we went. The Xewkija rotunda, dedicated to St. John the Baptist is the largest church in Gozo. The colossal church is an exceedingly large circular structure in white local limestone, its elegant dome supported by eight columns representing the eight beatitudes. Ix-Xewkija is one of the oldest villages of Gozo and took the status of a parish as early as 1678. Years later, a parish church dedicated to St. John the Baptist was erected and consecrated in 1755. After the 2nd World War, the parishioners – traditionally known for their building skills and craftsmanship in Maltese stone

One of the beautiful basilicas in Gozo. Its large unsupported dome is the main attraction. One has to be modestly dressed to visit the church. I was wearing a sleeveless top so had to cover my arms with a white piece of cloth provided by the church.
Suneela I — Google review
We visited the Rotunda of St. John the Baptist and found it to be a beautiful church with very interesting architecture. The church was renovated in 1951 (if I remember correctly). To enjoy the full panorama, you need to pay €3 per adult for the elevator that takes you up to the 3rd floor. Children go for free. The view from the top is truly stunning. However, the area upstairs is not well maintained, there was some mess, one statue was damaged, and there were bricks and construction materials lying around. Still, it’s a very nice experience for just a small price.

Beautiful church set high with incredible views around. Free parking available in front. Free to enter but please cover up and leave an offering. Staff around for questions.

The first time we went here, there was a funeral procession, so we were not allowed to enter. We decided to visit again and the 2nd try was well worth it. Please be sure to take the elevator to the roof - the views are amazing. Architecture delightful inside and out. It was decorated for the holidays so was extra beautiful. Has a small museum in the back area, pretty interesting artifacts!

Ta' Ċenċ Cliffs is a stunning natural attraction on Gozo, perfect for nature lovers and hikers. The sunset views are breathtaking, but it's important to arrive early as access may involve crossing private properties. The cliffs are easily accessible by bus from Victoria/Rabat and offer an easy, flat walk with rocky terrain. While the heights may be intimidating for some, the mesmerizing views make it all worthwhile.
Wonderful spot to watch the sunset. Walk to the cliffs is super easy & flat (rocky, but just watch your footing). I’m not good at all with heights, but you wouldn’t know you’re on top of a cliff until you start getting to the edge - where you can can still stay back and enjoy the views. Entrance is through a road marked private property - about a 20 min walk. When you reach the pathway follow straight ahead, don’t take the one on your left

Wow! The view is priceless. You can either come from Ta' Ċenċ (10 minutes on foot from the bus stop), or you can take a beautiful 3h hike from Mgarr (which we did and it was the highlight of our stay I Malta). The cliffs are just stunning.

Very nice place if you like nature and hiking. My partner and I witnessed the sunset in November, it was windy but gorgeous. I'm afraid of heights, but I managed to walk fine, but cautiously. Do keep in mind: -if you want to see the sunset, do get there ahead of time!! (as you have might have to cross privately properties) -it might not be easy to get to the cliffs (you might need to cross private property) -if you are afraid of heights, the cliffs and views might be too much/frightening

Absolutely incredible. I would recommend having a taxi bring you hear as it is probably a 15 minutes walk from the closest bus stop before you see any cliffs. The views are amazing I’ve never seen anything like it. A must visit while in Gozo.

Sanap Cliffs, situated in Xlendi, Malta, are a well-known natural attraction offering stunning panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. The limestone cliffs provide an excellent opportunity for hikers, nature lovers, and photographers to explore the rugged terrain and capture the picturesque landscape. A newly surfaced road from Munxar makes it easily accessible by foot. The area is perfect for witnessing winter sunsets and is frequented by hikers, dog walkers, and cyclists.

Breathtaking views and total serenity 🌊⛰️ Sanap Cliffs completely blew us away! Less crowded than the more touristy spots, but just as — if not more — stunning. The cliffs drop straight into the sea with dramatic views that go on forever. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop and just breathe. We went around sunset and it was pure magic — golden light, peaceful atmosphere, and hardly anyone around. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. There’s a walking path that’s easy and scenic, and if you’re into photography, this place is a dream. Definitely one of our favorite spots in Gozo!

The Sanap Cliffs are a hidden gem on Gozo and offer some of the most spectacular views in the entire Maltese archipelago! The steep cliffs rise majestically above the deep blue sea, creating a breathtaking backdrop that is second to none. Compared to the **Dingli Cliffs** in Malta, the Sanap Cliffs are quieter, more pristine, and even more impressive. Here, you can enjoy nature in its purest form, without large crowds. The sunset at these cliffs is simply magical – the golden rays of light bathe the landscape in a warm glow as the sea gently laps against the rocks. An absolute must-see for nature lovers, hikers, and photographers! Anyone who wants to discover the beauty of Malta should not miss this place. **Highly recommended!**

Al Sale Restaurant in Xaghra, Gozo is a top dining spot known for its local lamb dishes and an impressive selection of whiskey and cigars. This Mediterranean seafood restaurant offers a menu filled with fresh Italian dishes like pasta and pizza, as well as delectable seafood options. With its Sichuan-style Chinese cuisine, Al Sale Restaurant stands out among the best restaurants in Xaghra.
We had dinner here and honestly, it was such a great experience. The sunset reflecting off the church nearby made the whole setting feel kind of magical. We started with the caviar and tuna tartare, which were both super tasty, and then had the daily special beef for the main. It was insanely good. The staff were really friendly and always around when we needed something, without hovering. We sat outside and it was really comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place

To start with this restaurant really does deserve its 2 year Michelin guide rating. My wife and our close friend dined here tonight and I cannot praise it enough. The ambiance, the decor, the staff and of course the amazing food. We were pleasantly greeted and sat on our arrival after booking an outside table however the wind made that difficult but it was not a problem and they promptly found us a table inside. We started with Oysters which were fresh and tasty. The three of us then opted for the Scallop Gratin which while cooked to perfection the way they are served in their shell with the amazing cheese gratin, the way they are balanced on a plate of pebbles does make them a bit difficult to get the best. For main my wife had the delicious grilled octopus which was cooked so perfectly it was a joy to eat. My friend and I shared the fish of the day which was Sea bass or Rock fish and we opted for the Rock fish which was served to us by the waiter perfectly and not a bone to be found. A thoroughly amazing experience which we shall repeat again and again. The wine list was also a great selection of world and local wines. Highly recommended.

I was recommended this place by Leona from Taste of Gozo, and I'm so glad I was. The food is outstanding, with everything cooked to order making for a lovely leisurely evening. None of the hurried 'we need your table back in 90 minutes' stuff here. We started with a tuna tartare and scallops au gratin, followed by a salt baked sea bass (for 2) and for dessert an elderflower parfait and a honey and vanilla panna cotta, all washed down with a lovely Maltese white. I've fallen in love with Gozo and Al Sale is one of the reasons why.

Objectively one of the best restaurants on the island, the quality of the food they use and the dedication in cooking and plating it from the chef really makes you feel the passion behind all of it. The personnel is well qualified and the location is well though. I personally absolutely loved it, I got the baked brie as a starter that surprised me and the Uruguayan striplon (medium rare) as a main, accompanied by a glass of Italian red wine, advised by one of the servers and it was a perfect match. Very well done to all and 110% would recommend. Would have taken more pics but I was too concentrated on eating the food ✨

We went there during our holidays in Gozo because it was recommended by Michelin and… really not disappointed ! The service was very pleasant and I absolutely recommend the Crudo Misto ! The fresh raw fish was really amazing, the seasoning of every fish was just perfect, really subtle which keeps the fresh taste of the fish, we really enjoyed every part of it ! Special mention for the ✨lampuki tartare✨ that was insane. The cocktails are good, the wine too. As tourists, we were lucky to get there during a village festivity « Festa » which magnifies the charm of the dinner ! Thank you to the team and congrats to the chief ! A night we won’t forget for sure :)

Excellent restaurant in the main square of Xaghra. Service and food are impeccable. Their specialty is fish cooked under salt, which is a must try, even if it may take a while to arrive at the table. Prices are very reasonable given the quality of the experience and food. You are going to spend about 50 Euros for a shared appetizer, a main dish, one glass of wine and a shared dessert. Da Manuel is a great restaurant with attentive staff and fantastic food. They serve wine, beer and cocktails, as well as table service. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a romantic dinner or an enjoyable night out with friends.
Very very good food, and a super friendly staff. I had the ribeye steak and it came with an extremely delicious mushroom sauce. The desserts are all homemade and look amazing. I had the blueberry cheesecake, and it was lovely. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

When I tell you, this is the only place to spend your money, I’m not lying! My friend and I were staying nearby, we chose Da Manuel for dinner our first night and we kept going back. We went all four nights for dinner and very single night DID NOT disappoint. The service, the atmosphere, the view, the food were all immaculate. We tried almost all parts of the menu, and we can say this is the spot. Go go go!

What a perfect restaurant! If you are on Gozo, this is truly a must-visit for a perfect evening with a stunning view. We ate here twice - and we don’t usually do that, as we love discovering new places. But we enjoyed it so much that we just had to come back! And the second time was as perfect as the first time! The food is really good and it is so nice to take your time over dinner. Just how we say it in the Netherlands: ‘lekker tafelen’.

A sweet underrated spot with the perfect front row seats for sunset. A must. Will definitely come back, the staff are so kind and the food quality was exceptional!

Was staying nearby and came for dinner and was not disappointed. Food was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Had the fresh fish and recommend the blueberry cheesecake

Food was amazing. It was our first time to have lunch there. Arrived at the restaurant and no one at the restaurant apart from the owner and his son. At first I was a bit hectic and thought I made a mistake but I didn't. The owner explained to us all the menu in a very amicable way and we chose our food. Starter and main courses. After we've eaten it was time for desert. Home made specialities made by the owners wife which was there too. To cut long story short. I would suggest Da Manuel to all the people who love family run restaurants.

Steak house
Nestled in the picturesque Marsalforn, Beppe's is a culinary gem that beautifully marries Mediterranean fusion cuisine with local flavors. Under the expert guidance of chef and owner Joseph Spiteri, diners can indulge in dishes crafted from the finest local ingredients. A standout on their menu is the delightful hazelnut mousse made with Gozitan milk—a must-try for dessert lovers!
Beppe's steakhouse is situated in the quiet village of Sanna, close to the parish church, away from the main touristic zones in Gozo. Worth visiting, friendly staff, and helpful. They gave the necessary attention to make you feel comfortable. The food was tasty, pasta cooked to perfection (al dente), and souce with wild boar was divine. Meat cuts are on display to choose from. The chosen cuts were tender and cooked to my preference.
Rowland B — Google review
Very good food, the meat was fantastic and even the sides and starters. The service was good. Will come back another time for sure!
FiddlerOfLife — Google review
There have 8 different options for steaks. We had the Tomahawk steaks 🥩 cooked in medium for 900g. The quality of the steak was good, the staff and chefs were very friendly and professional. We had a good experience there.
Xi Z — Google review
Exceptional food and service. The staff guided us through the menu and listened to our preferences. The selection of starters is vast and varied - we took the beef cartoccio, the stuffed zucchini flowers and the chef's speciality, the fried rabbit liver. They were all equally delicious. As mains we took a pasta dish off the specials menu, and a beef fillet with black garlic butter. The cook of the meat was on point. Highly recommend!!
Rebecca F — Google review
We visited Beppe's on a Friday evening looking for a good steak. We were not disappointed. After selecting from an unusual list of starters which were particularly tasty, I opted for an Agnus aged ribeye which was cooked to perfection. The wife went for a fillet steak which was equally delicious. The service was good and efficient complementing an excellent meal. Beppe's also provides a comprehensive wine list with a large selection to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant especially if you are after a good steak.

Very creative cuisine, super attentive and welcoming service. We had our best dinner on Gozo here. Massive recommendation. Personal suggestion: Beef Capraccio. It melts in your mouth. Thanks to the fantatsic crew!

We went out for a birthday dinner a few weeks back. We went there mainly to spoil ourselves and have a good meal! & indeed we did! It was such a nice experience. The staff was very nice, they welcomed us and explained well the menu and guided us regarding the meat and answered all our questions. The food was very well cooked 10/10. Dessert was fantastic! The chef was very nice as well. The place was super clean and well kept. There was a nice atmosphere, you could enjoy a nice meal and talk and understand each other well. Definitely recommending this place to various people ! Well done !!

What a fantastic restaurant! The food is brilliant, I dare also say the best I've ever tasted in Gozo. If you are going to order fries I highly suggest trying out the truffle and parmesan variation. The attention to detail in this place is spectacular. The staff is friendly but very professional. Overall would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone who loves great food.

Salt Pans are traditional sites for salt production, with geometric patterns of pans near the ocean. In Xwejni, on Gozo's northern coast, ancient techniques are used to harvest artisan salt from these pans. Visitors can purchase this unique salt from nearby shops. On Sicily's west coast near Nubia, travelers can explore the Salt Pans between Trapani and Marsala.
Beautiful view and really not busy when we went to visit- barely any people. Stunning view of the sea, and the salt pans are gorgeous. Had a lovely cocktail nearby.
Done K — Google review
Along Gozo’s rugged northwest coast, the centuries-old salt pans carve a striking geometric pattern into the limestone shoreline. Hand-chiseled by generations of local families, these shallow pools still produce sea salt using traditional methods passed down since the Romans. Visiting at sunrise or sunset offers breathtaking views as the golden light reflects off the crystal-lined pans. Watch as salt harvesters skillfully scrape the mineral-rich crystals—a backbreaking yet cherished craft. The nearby Salt Kitchen shop sells this "white gold" in its purest form, perfect for edible souvenirs. A testament to Gozo’s resilience, the salt pans blend natural beauty with living history. Free to visit, but respect the working areas.
Jack C — Google review
Very nice area to visit and walk around. Beautiful salt pans, easily accessible.
Рахилка С — Google review
So brilliant to see the salt being harvested. Great walking along by the sea. Great for swimming, relaxing and leisurely refreshments.
Liz C — Google review
Beautiful coastal walk along the water, interesting history regarding the salt collection. A nice family sells the salt directly at the location.
Joel B — Google review
As beautiful as the pictures...in Victoria, you can buy Gozo sea salt from here that's several hundred years old! The salt pans are a marvel of nature and located at the end of a pleasant walk or drive from Marsalforn--but I recommend walking for the air.
Danielle O — Google review
You can get here by car. We visited on a Saturday and there was plenty of space to park and then to walk around and explore. This is a free attraction on Gozo. Salt extracted from the pans is available to purchase on site for €6-7.
Melissa H — Google review
Nice bit of coast to see where salt is traditionally still collected over the summer months. Really interesting to see, nice walk along the coastline while you're viewing them. There's a cafe there and public toilets. We went in off season so plenty of places to park, but could see in the summer months that it would be very busy.

Ta’ Kola Windmill, located near the Ggantija Temples, is a well-preserved traditional windmill dating back to the 1700s. Once used for grinding grain into flour, it now serves as a museum showcasing the miller's workshop and living quarters. Visitors can explore recreated furniture and gain insight into past village lifestyles. The windmill offers a glimpse into Malta's history and culture, making it a must-see attraction for those interested in the island's heritage.
Such a cool place to visit. Definitely worth a visit and free entry with your ticket from the ruins.
Luke L — Google review
Visited because it was included with the Ġgantija Archaeological Park ticket, so I mean why not. A cute windmill to visit, kind workers, clean bathroom, organized and clean site. Tight at the top with others but a great conversation starter for sure 😆. Overall pretty good
Millie M — Google review
If you’ve never been inside a windmill before, this is definitely worth a visit. It’s a unique experience where you can also read a lot about Malta’s history and how important bread was in daily life.
Рахилка С — Google review
Entry to the museum is €10 on a combined ticket with the nearby Ggantija Archeological park (the latter makes is worthwhile) or €13 as part of a combined ticket that includes 5 Citadella museums in Victoria (Citadella visitor centre), museum of archaeology, old prison, Gran Castillo historic house, and nature museum) as well as the Ggantija Archeological park and Ta Kola windmill. The windmill makes for an enjoyable 15 minute visit, but I wouldn't trek out to Ggantija just to see it. It is also wholly unsuitable for people who cannot handle lots of twisting stairs (you can see it from the outside though). The windmill is prettier on the outside than the inside, so you may not wish to actually pay for entry of you don't have a ticket for the nearby Archeological park.
Tom H — Google review
We only visited because entry was included in the Ggantija ticket, but I'm very glad we did. A beautiful old windmill that a local man kept working until he died in the 1980s. He was a blacksmith too, and seemed to have made all his own tools. It was great to be able to walk to the very top and see the shaft and gears close up, and marvel at the construction from around 270 years ago. If you're visiting Ggantija it's well worth the 2-minute walk to visit.
Richard L — Google review
We bought the combo ticket which included entry to the temples. There was no waiting time, the staff were friendly, and the windmill was quaint and well-preserved.
David A — Google review

HOG cafe received rave reviews for their exceptional service and delicious food, particularly their Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches. Despite being busy, they were able to accommodate customers. The portion sizes were generous and reasonably priced. Visitors are advised to prepare themselves for the plentiful servings as even those with a hearty appetite may struggle to finish their meal. The cafe also offers quick service and is conveniently located. In addition to the sandwiches, patrons highly praised the burgers on HOG's menu.
Stopped by here, they have a great menu. I went with their waffle burger with beef, chicken, and bacon. It was just amazing. The waffle was crispy and had a nice sweetness to it, which went well with the savory stuff inside. The beef patty was cooked just right and was juicy. The service was fast and friendly. Overall, it was a tasty and interesting burger. If you're looking for something a bit different from the usual, it's worth checking out. I enjoyed it completely.

Beautiful presentation but fairly bland, and my friends ribs were so badly charred we didn’t pay for them. Possibly the most upmarket looking restaurant but the poorest meal we've had all week.
Johnny M — Google review
Come here for cafe-food that is desserts, sandwiches etc. not a main meal. Ordered a biscoff cheesecake, a salmon bagel, and a double patty burger. The cheesecake and bagel were great. The burger was non-offensive, a bit bland, and dry. But again, I suspect this place is mostly a cafe and in a shopping mall so wouldn’t expect a top tier patty grill in the back to begin with.
Jan — Google review
Caffe latte - not so good. I've had a philly hot dog, it was below expectations. Not gonna retry. Don't recommend, nothing special. Maltese pizza - again nothing special it even had a funny taste. The salad was ok. Overall, food didn't impress much.

Nestled within the historic Citadel in Victoria, the Gozo Museum of Archaeology invites visitors to delve into the island's captivating past. Housed in a beautifully restored 17th-century townhouse that once belonged to the Bondi family, this museum showcases an impressive array of artifacts that span from prehistoric times through to the medieval era. Each exhibit is thoughtfully curated, offering insights into Gozo's rich cultural heritage and early civilizations.
The Citadel is an interesting place to visit. Walking through the narrow historic streets and looking at the Victoria skyline is an unforgettable adventure. The archaeological museum is worth seeing.

The museum has poor exhibits and not great information. It took around 10 mins to traverse. It was free as part of the combined ticket (see below), but I think it's not worth the time unless you have a significant interest in archaeology. Entry to the museum is €5 on its own (not good value) or €13 as part of a combined ticket that includes 5 Citadella museums (Citadella visitor centre), museum of archaeology, old prison, Gran Castillo historic house, and nature museum) as well as the Ggantija Archeological park (€10 on its own, making the combined ticket worthwhile) and Ta Kola windmill.

Café Jubilee is a beloved dining spot in Gozo, having captured the hearts of locals since its establishment in 1998. Cafes need to offer more vegan options to meet rising consumer demand from health-conscious individuals, ethical consumers, and flexitarians. Qbajjar Restaurant in Gozo is a popular dining spot offering a variety of cuisines. Located in the vibrant Xaghra village square, it provides a glimpse into the local culinary traditions. The restaurant is known for its local lamb dishes and also offers options like whiskey and cigars. With its Mediterranean and European grill offerings, Qbajjar Restaurant is one of the best places to eat in Gozo.
A great restaurant with a wide range of choice whilst still keeping a great quality. The restaurant is very airy (if you are seated in the main restaurant or outside). A great view of the bay. The food includes a wide choice of freshly caught fish (including specials), a wide choice of Pizzas and a good choice of meat dishes. The service is excellent and with a large group they work hard to get the food out at the same time. I definitely recommend them…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently dined at Qbajjar Restaurant in Marsalforn, Gozo, and it was a fantastic experience! The seafood was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, with the local flavors shining through. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The views of the bay added to the charm of the evening. I highly recommend the grilled octopus and the homemade desserts! Can't wait to return!
Gebrehiwot T — Google review
We visited this place together with a local who said this place has the best price vs food quality performance on Gozo. I don't know if it is so, but I trust our friend. So I took fish soup, it was tasty, it had fish and rice as main filling plus some other things, a solid 7.5/10 As a starte we also took Mussels and they were really good, nice garlic and vine 9/10. All table took Spaghetti Pescatore as it was suggested to us by our friend and I have to say it was great (I'm not a huge fan of pastas, but this I could eat more) it had rich seafood topping and everything was well made and tasty 9.5/10 And as a dessert I took an apple pie andb my other half took Fondant. Both were ok, well made and balanced with ice-cream. 8/10 What this place lacks is a bit better service. We asked for desserts menu 3 times (to 3 different waiters) until it was finally brought. This place has a nice terrace with view of sea. All in all, I think I would visit this place again if I'm somewhere nearby.

Dorota S — Google review
The restaurant is located right by the sea, offering a beautiful view from both the terrace and the outside area. The staff is friendly, and the dishes are served quickly. There’s a wide selection of wines, as well as craft beers. When it comes to the menu, I believe everyone can find something they like. The prices are similar to those in Rabat on Gozo and on Malta itself. The only downside is that when it’s full inside, it gets quite noisy and it can be hard to have a conversation.
G G — Google review
This restaurant is near the guest house where we stayed. We went just for convenience but we ended up eating here every day because the food was good. It’s also good value for money as the portions are big. You’d better go there hungry.
J G — Google review
Decent, big portion. Octopus starter is good, tuna salad very good it's fresh. Grilled calamari 10/10, but the disappointment comes from the seafood pasta, prawn, king prawn, shrimps and squid are all not fresh, you can taste it's the frozen ones.
Zeqin L — Google review
We visited Qbajjar in Gozo without a reservation and were seated outside, where we could enjoy the warmth and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the mussels cooked in white wine and despite the sauce being on the salty side, the mussels themselves were absolutely fantastic. So fresh, meaty, and perfectly cooked, hands down the best mussels I had during my entire trip to Malta. Although it was listed as a starter, the portion was incredibly generous and could’ve easily passed for a main. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, and we had no trouble finding a parking space in their car park, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I’d definitely return if I’m ever back in Gozo, just maybe with a side of bread to soak up that salty (but tasty!) sauce. The deserts were nicely presented, and quite delicious.

Overrated, you have to wait a big line to get worst breakfast ever. I asked for chicken pie and got chicken with pork bbq pizza. A lot of fly's inside sitting on baked goods. And not most respectful locals go there.

This is one of the last few traditional bakeries on the island. It’s easy to find as it’s on one of the villages’ main roads and there are always some people waiting outside for the next fresh oven bake. You will find lots to choose from, they have all sorts of local bread, pastries, etc. It’s a family-run bakery that goes back generations and they’re very passionate about their products. They have frozen goods that can be baked back at home, local type pizza and a vast variety of cakes including seasonal traditional pastries. Not a good shop to visit if you are weight watching.

This is an absolute local gem run by locals who care. Grabbed some super fresh and huge Ftira sandwiches for a cheap 3euros to go. Worth taking a detour from the tourist mess that is Victoria. The ambiance was super homely and locals were coming in and out around lunch time to grab loaves of fresh bread. You can see the team making it right there in front of you behind the counter! Cannot recommend enough.

A great bakery serving a wide variety of bread and baked goods. Prices much more reasonable than at tourist sites
