This worker needs to be held accountable for the way he handled our order. He came over to our car when we first parked trying to help us mark that we were there for the pickup and he said he couldn’t find our order, then he just left. About 10-15 minutes later he comes back saying we can’t be just sitting in the parking spot and that we have to move. We already marked in the app that we were in the certain number spot so i said we couldn’t move because someone could take that number spot. He starts arguing and yelling that we need to move or and that we’re doing things the “hard way” and he’s going to call security. I understand this is walmart and customer service isn’t always great but this was very unacceptable. As an employee myself you do not yell at customers, or I would get fired. Just think if you would want to experience this while you’re just trying to get groceries. Also while he’s standing there yelling at us the order pops up on his device…

My husband has been waiting for half an hour to get one lightbulb for a headlight. He’s still waiting for it to be unlocked from the case. He’s had to talk to 3 differ People so far and no one is helping. There are two people waiting for help. I’ve never had a good experience going to this store and I don’t usually leave reviews but this is so irritating. The employees at this store are the least helpful people ever.
Grace B — Google review
So I went to the auto center this morning after making an appointment the night before. I arrived at 7:30 the time for my appointment. At 7:45, I was still waiting outside. They hadn't even lifted the bay doors up yet. I finally got waited on around 7:48. Mind they make it clear that I need be there no later than 15 minutes after my appointment time, because they won't wait any longer than that. So Diago comes to the car no apology, no greeting. Just asked if I had an appointment. I told him I did. He was my name (55555), I said yes. I'm too old for him to be calling me by my first name especially when my last name was there. Very rude and disrespectful. I took my ticket and went to the customer service desk, I asked who the store manager was. They told me and said he would be in around 10. I gave them my name and number and asked them to please tell him to call me the I needed to inquire about this morning's interaction with this particular department. This is not the first, second or even third time that this sort of thing has happened at this particular Walmart. While I was looking around another employee, i think it may have a supervisor asked me my name and said she would be speaking with store manager and she definitely give him the message so that he could call me! It is now 1:40 and I still haven't heard from this store manager! Wow! Well how can I expect the people on the floor to do better, if this store manager is the example????? Once again very disappointed. About to see who I need to reach out to now.
Jus4MsK — Google review
This is my home Walmart, most everything I need I am able to find in stock. My Walmart is never too crowded but they always seem to have not enough cashiers. The majority of my visits which are every Friday ,they have backed up lines from the cashiers spot, self checkout is a small # or machines. To be honest the one thing I want and still find at most every other Walmart are the Reese's pretzel bites. They are never in stock, I have to buy them out of state and bring them home...LOL. ANYWHO, This Walmart is clean ,quiet, nice location, and has friendly helpful workers. I am glad this is my home base Walmart!!!
James T — Google review
I quickly noticed that registers used by employees do not show the price of each item when scanned on the touch pad or on the register anymore, which seems weird because it used to display on both. I instantly missed that it is shady behavior, because people are used to confirming the cost of their goods that way. I said that now I won't know if my clearance sweatshirt is actually $3. It turns out my total was $22 for a $3 sweatshirt, a $4 hat, and a small 25 cent bottle of hot sauce. It turns out, the sweatshirt that was originally on the tag $12.98, marked down to $3, was being sold to me for $14.98. This is unacceptable shady behavior and you need to return the cost of the items being scanned to the view of the customer.

DONT DO PICK UP UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT AN HOUR IN THE PARKING LOT. This is the third time.l and ive had it. They schedule so many at once that you cant even find a spot for 10 minutes. Once you do, get comfy because you are in for the long hall. Everyone who is friends with the guys gets served first. Ive seen it many times now and its ridiculous. There is 0 urgency here. The guys just kinda bumble around and dont seen to have much direction. Im done. Keep your savings if youre going to waste hours of my time. Its not worth it.
Erin R — Google review
It was a decent Walmart, self checkout is always decently quick, still hate that all Walmarts do not have access to tap to pay. That could definitely be a security risk and more susceptible to card scanners. Taping cards are generally safer than swiping or inserting them.

Decent shopping center. There's a good amount of stores, parking is sufficient, and the areas are organized well. We went here for Chili's restaurant, and that's about it. But otherwise, it's a good shopping center and would recommend it.

Walked in so I can find some hockey skates. It is very clean and very much like every Dicks you can see. The prices are a little high, but that’s the cost of a store that’ll have pretty much everything needed. My main concern is when I walked up to two employees to ask where the skates are they looked annoyed and pointed to a general vicinity and went about their conversation. I found it a little off putting.

Never had a bad experience. Disappointing though that they all discontinued firearm and ammo sales, due to lack of sales, brought on by the fact that they never properly priced them. Poor corporate management. They have friendly staff and a large variety of other products.

The park offers a wide range of amenities for visitors of all ages, including tennis and basketball courts, football and baseball fields, and a well-maintained children's playground. Additionally, there are walking paths and clean bathrooms available for convenience. Amazing park for kids, soft cushiony flooring, just needs a splash pad. The sliding swing is great fun. Has a reading area with mini library. Clean and well maintained park.

Glass-roofed, bi-level mall housing familiar stores, a gym & casual dining options.
A great looking mall that is still surviving in this day and age! There are some vacancies but still plenty of stores to shop at and places to eat. I love the aesthetics and natural daylight the mall offers. A new Hollywood Casino has taken the place of the former Sears building and is amazing! Plenty of parking all around the mall. Very safe and secure! The staff is friendly and helpful! The facility is very clean along with the restrooms. This is a wonderful place to shop, eat, walk around and try your luck at the casino!
A E — Google review
I grew up with this mall and am happy it's still around. It's not as busy as it once was, but it seems to be doing okay overall. I'm happy they never remodeled, I LOVE the interior design with the neon and pastel colors. You can tell this mall opened in 1989 just by looking at it. Never lose this style! Shops do change around so often, they are trying. The food court isnt what it once was. I don't know why McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Subway left. They were always busy. But they do have a pizza place (replaced Sbarro) and Bamboo Kitchen and Tokyo II are still there. And of course Auntie Anne's, which is something I always like to get while I'm here. Casino opened in 2021 where Sears was. Doesn't open into the mall though. Boscovs just got rid of their neon sadly. And former Bon-Ton is a storage facility. They have a new arcade here that's better than the Boardwalk one. It's Family Fun Center that moved from Harrisburg Malls after they closed a year ago. It's a great arcade and I'm happy it's here. This mall is always fun to visit. I hope for the best for this mall and glad it's still hanging on.
Alex F — Google review
Nice food court, good ambiance, amazing arcade. Would hate to lose this place like so many of the other nearby malls. Hopefully more stores can trickle in and keep the place kicking.
CJ — Google review
This mall still has some good brand name stores left. However like most that we visit definitely did not have the amount of patrons that I was used to seeing in malls when I was a kid. Cool mall, though design wise, with two floors and a small food court. It was a good place to walk around in, check everything out, and cool off on a hot day. Also, for those of us, not me, but for those of us that have a little cash lying around to gamble away it the mall that is just happens to be attached to a Hollywood Casino as well. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in York PA looking to do some shopping.
Michael M — Google review
definitely a really nice mall, from where i am its a little bit of a drive but it’s definitely worth it for exploring. most businesses in the food court area left the mall with subway recently leaving the mall. the other stores are actually pretty nice, same with boscovs. the design of the mall is also pretty nice as i havent seen one like it before.
Preston J — Google review
Where do I even start? It’s a shame this mall, which was once a hotspot is now a mall of the past of just memories as a child growing up. Let’s admit it’s nice to see the mall still open but we know one day it will be gone forever. Malls are just not the same as they used to be as a kid growing up. There’s literally only a few stores left open. The only reason I still come here is because this is the only mall in the area so it’s convenient for those times that I just need to run to bath and body works, and or when they have the Easter bunny and Santa Claus for the kids other than that, I don’t even bother coming here no more.
Katie H — Google review
First time here. Not many stores open, but it's worth shopping. Most spaces were vacant. Food court had a pizza place and a Chinese place open. There is a fairly new casino, but I didn't check it out. Probably a cool mall back in it's prime.
Stephen ( — Google review
Went to boscov's gave us free ice pop packets because we were customers. Which i found very odd because that has never happened before. We asked for a bag at the desk and looked at us like we crazy and then asked us if we payed for it, then we had to explain to them that they were giving them out for free on the bottom floor, looked at us like we where crazy then said no and went back to gossiping with her friend. We felt completely out of place and was so weirded out why they couldn't give us a bag so we left.

Farmers Markets
New Eastern Market Co is a unique air-conditioned market in York County, offering a wide variety of farm-fresh produce, meats, cheeses, flowers, candy, and baked goods. It features local vendors serving the community with reasonable prices and a diverse selection of traditional market products alongside hard-to-find and unique items. The market boasts several produce stands, butchers, lunch stands, delis, as well as shops for pet treats, ceramics, handmade items and more.
New Eastern Market is imo the best farm market in York County. There are half a dozen produce stands, half a dozen butchers, half a dozen lunch stands, a number of delis, and a plethora of other shops including, but, not limited to soap, pet treats, ceramics, handmade items, fish and seafood. Of course i have my favorites and you'll find those in the pics. I'm not certain if they are the better than the rest, but they All stay open later than the others which means i can actually visit them after I've gotten off work. If I have to have a complaint, Market is supposed to be open until 6 but many are cleaning up by 4:15.
Conspirator K — Google review
The market is a refreshing trip, even on Good Friday! Everyone is friendly and the products are fresh!
Penney M — Google review
Show up with cash and prepare to purchase some of the most delicious, unique, and home made foods ever. The vendors have everything from fresh produce to snacks to chocolates and pies, and even ceramic decorations. There are candies, meats, pickled vegetables and a small restaurant in the back. They also have the friendliest vendors. It's a pleasure to buy from them.

I love the myers stand. Lots of great food like dill potato salad and macaroni salads. There is also a pickle stand that has amazing flavors of pickles. I love the horseradish pickles.

Love love love the market. I always get my ground beef from Godfreys. My broccoli salad from Clyde Weaver is THE BEST, and ive tried LOTS of broccoli salad. I get the york state fair ham from a different meat vendor. I get an apple fritter from bird in hand, they're delicious. Sometimes I get corn but this year it hasn't been good from the market. I always get dog biscuits from the lady kind of in the middle aisle. I also get smoked bacon but im still shopping around for the bacon I love. I recommend this place to everyone. You'll be able to find so many goodies.

Central Market House, a historic market established in 1888 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, offers an array of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and crafts. While it may not be a large farm market with only a few vendors for produce, meat, deli items, and fish, it is renowned as an excellent spot for lunch with diverse options. Visitors can find locally made jewelry, art pieces and furniture at some stands within the market.
Great choices! Pullshot coffee is amazing! The infused olive oil is the best I have ever had . So many choices, great market.

My first visit here was great. The food was incredibly delicious, and the array of mouth watering dishes to choose from with each local vendor was awesome. I appreciate the diverse selection of cuisines available, including Caribbean, Egyptian, Japanese, Korean, & various other international options. Needless to say, I am eagerly anticipating my next visit – which is an understatement!

Probably would have been better if more stalls were opened. Went on a Thursday around 10AM and a lot of the stalls had signs stating....not open...open at 12...open on Saturday. What was open was decent, including a homemade jewelry stall and a fresh Italian food stall. Just next door connected is the Mudhoom Brewery.... they were very good .. visited them the previous evening

I'm told many many of what made York great, the bone structure, the historical vibes - are gone. Again with the bougie nonsense tearing down history THE GOOD History across the country. Not everything needs replacing. This is almost all that's worth visiting when I return home. Some shops I frequented are still there, others gone, but.. ..leave this place alone

What a wonderful market! Central Market in downtown York PA has something to offer for everyone. Housing a robust collection of prepared food, produce and craft vendors, the market makes for the perfect Saturday morning activity. Food options are diverse, ranging from fresh made pizza and bagels to sushi to Brazilian cheese waffles (must try). On the produce/grocery side, you have a wide variety of locally grown veggies and sourced meats available. Highly suggest checking out the oil and vinegar stand located towards the right side of the market, as they have some unique infusions that will elevate any home chef's creations. Prices overall are very reasonable considering the quality and locally sourced nature of the goods. Parking is relatively easy, as there are 2 garages within a block of the market as well as meter street parking (both are free on Saturdays). If you ever find yourself in York, definitely make it a point to stop by Central Market for some shopping and lunch!

This establishment, Mudhook Brewing Company, is highly regarded and beloved by many. It is conveniently located between the farmer's market and Cherry Lane in downtown York, making it easily accessible. The relaxed atmosphere caters to a wide range of preferences with options such as the indoor pub area, the veranda, and the outdoor garden patio. The owner is actively involved in running the place, and both the wait staff and cook are consistently pleasant and dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction.
A beautiful old building attached to York’s Central Farmer’s Market on Cherry Lane. The perfect day for alfresco dining this early evening. If you are a beer aficionado, this is your place. , I prefer a light, sweet cocktail. The Orange Creamsicle has the right amount of sweetness. The Fish Hook sandwich on a brioche bun -is delicious. Maddiee provided excellent service with the right amount of check-ins

Nice location right next to central market downtown and fun decor/atmosphere inside. My daughter loves this place she calls it the "chicken nuggie and chess restaurant" cause they have the best chicken tenders and they have tables with chess/checker boards on them and pieces in drawers you can play with. The beer is good, the bartender provides great service every time, and their weekly specials are insane. $2 tacos, $5 steak quesadillas, $2 beers???? gtfo. If you go out to eat regularly downtown and Mudhook is not in your rotation idk what you're thinking.

Stopped in while visiting from Delaware to check out the York brewery scene. The place has a really cool layout. The is outdoor seating with sand, kind of going for a beach scene effect. Inside is a lot of brick and wood which fits with the area. The person behind the bar was very friendly and willing to make recommendations. The beer was average overall but the burger and fries were very good. If you are looking for a cool place to hang with friends then give this place a look.

A unique little back alley brewery with nice staff and a small assortment of beers. The food is surprisingly good! The Cherry Lane ale is a top seller, and at 10% alc very drinkable.

Went Friday nite and the foul mouth, not funny comedian was so loud I couldn't hear or talk to the server, we ordered a flight and the beer I really wanted was out. Flights came out a little over half full and the bar tender said the boss only wants it that way. Couldn't get table service so went to the bar. Management was there but maybe clueless? Never again with all the choices in the area.

Tutoni's Restaurant is a contemporary farm-to-table eatery in York, offering a cozy neighborhood atmosphere and a menu featuring rustic Italian cuisine. The restaurant has gained a reputation as one of the best dining spots in the area, with consistent quality and delicious traditional Italian dishes. In addition to their well-loved entrees, Tutoni's also offers creative desserts and an extensive wine list.
This place is awesome. I visited for the first time before a YSO concert, and had an amazing time. I believe it will be my new favorite restaurant in York. It’s a truly fine dining experience. The service is fantastic, but the food is even better. My wife is still talking about the duck ravioli she had. I appreciated that they had some specialty Whiskey options like Stagg, Old Forester Birthday, Russell 13yr, etc.

Overall a great evening of food and service. We went with the 5 course chef selection and wine pairing. Gazpacho and swordfish were well done but the kitchen fell short on the lollipop veal chops. Grossly undercooked. The pasta with chorizo and chicken was fantastic and the desert was quite the treat overall a good experience.

I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while now! I went to visit family in Harrisburg for Father’s Day, and we decided to try Tutoni’s in York! It was beyond perfect, from beginning to end! We sat upstairs, which was such a beautiful space, and our waitress/bartender (I think her name was Ashley) was absolutely amazing! She suggested the best drinks, everything she recommended was delicious! My younger sister has autism, (so she’s super particular with taste and texture) and Ashley made a special sangria for her that she ended up loving, so her kindness and patience was truly appreciated! The food was beyond delicious, I could drink the sauce of the braised beef gnocchi like juice it’s that dang good! And of course, the espresso martinis and dessert, are absolutely superb! I highly recommend Tutoni’s for their stellar service, and phenomenal food!

Came here for our 6th wedding anniversary. The night started out on a high note with complimentary glasses of wine for our anniversary and a friendly server. The quail appetizer was very good and both pasta entrees were delicious. The entree portions were very filling but not overly large. Dessert and drinks were also great along with the French-press coffee. The perfect cherry on top was an anniversary card at the end. Great spot for a nice dinner, highly recommend.

Relaxing and romantic setting. Food was fabulous. We got the Bucatini and Meatballs and Nine Pines Chicken Breast. Both were fantastic. Drinks were good as well. They were also very great for our anniversary. Service was 5/5. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful place downtown York. Excellent Italian dishes and cocktails. If you are upstairs or in the King George Speak Easy make sure to get a cocktail from Ashley. She is an incredible mixologist and provides great service. Have never had a sub par experience hear and will continue to come back!

Amazing chef's special! I did not know what to expect here as it was a surprise visit, but I was very delighted by the whole experience. The courses were unique, sensibly structured, and very tasty. Definitely worth coming back when they rotate the menu!

I was invited by a vendor to have dinner at Tutoni’s Restaurant in downtown York. I was looking forward to it as I have not found very many restaurants that have lived up to their ratings. While the menu was impressive this one did not meet expectations either. Upon entering restaurant was dimly lit and where we sat seemed very tight quarters. Restaurant was quiet and server was attentive to our needs of course we are the only ones they are so what else would they have done? As a guest, I was treated to multiple appetizers and first time having a charcuterie board. Not sure what the big deal is about this meat and cheese tray, I just give me a slice of Colby jack or pepper jack and I’ll be fine. I did try the fried zucchini but not really a big fan. I had the rainbow trout with mushrooms and quinoa. Not too bad and the portion size was good as a dinner item. Others in the dinner party expressed that their dinner was not as good as they expected. Spaghetti and meatballs another had a pasta dinner that they only ate half of it. I’m starting to see a common theme in York as it relates to restaurants and their ratings. Doesn’t seem like too many people have gotten out of town and experienced a true 4.6 or higher rated restaurant. Got a cheesecake dessert to go. Topping was some type of a blackberry jelly. Who puts jelly on cheesecake especially a fruit with seeds that just stop you in mid-tracks to spit out. Once and done for me on this one .

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's is a timeless fast-food institution that has been delighting customers for decades with its iconic burgers and crispy fries. One standout location, Memory Lane McDonald's, truly shines in the community. Visitors rave about the friendly drive-thru staff who bring a smile to your day while ensuring your order is taken with care. Plus, you can always count on enjoying hot and fresh meals that hit the spot every time!
Memory Lane McDonalds is the best in town. My favorite part was the drive-thru order taker, so pleasant and kind, made my day! Amd the food is always hot and fresh!

This is how my sealed door dash order was delivered. My fry container was LESS than half full. Unacceptable. Someone working was simply being lazy and didn’t want to drop a new basket figuring they’d get away with it since it was a door dash order. Pathetic. Won’t be ordering again.
Katie D — Google review
One star because I’m tired of it. Ordered my Big Mac. No sauce, light onion, light lettuce, extra pickle, and no salt. My Big Mac came with 1 pickle, no onions, 2 shreds of lettuce, no cheese and it is the saltiest burger I’ve ever had. This was done on purpose. No way it wasn’t.

I was super excited to order the happy meal with the TMNT x Hello Kitty collab. I wait in the drivethru and then get my meal and its not the hello kitty box and it doesnt have the hello kitty toy. It was a baby book. I went back inside the mcdonalds and tried asking what was going on and the person did not seem to care and said they dont have it. I asked why they cant put in their system that they dont have it because i wouldnt have bought it if they didnt have it in stock. They didnt care. So now i have -$ and a baby book. Thanks a lot for ruining my excitement Mcdonalds.

So why would anyone spend $5.19 on a kitkat mcflurry if it looks like someone ate 1/3 of it and its half melted… its already small as it is. Also, they didnt give me my full order. Missing a mcdouble. They also gave me what looks like a medium fry in my large fry. Annoyed and they took my money for what? Half my meal?
Jasmine Y — Google review
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS MCDONALD’S. This place is absolutely terrible. How are you open 24 hours but can’t even handle the bare minimum of putting the right food in a bag? I ordered TWO MEALS and all they sent me was some sad nuggets with no sauce, the wrong drink, and no straws. Like… what is even the point of having a menu if you’re just gonna throw in whatever you feel like? you can tell it’s not an accident, it’s literally laziness. The workers here clearly don’t care about their job, the customers, or the fact that people actually spend their money expecting to get what they ordered. This was a complete waste of time and money, and honestly DoorDash should reconsider even letting this location stay listed because they clearly can’t handle basic service. If I could give ZERO stars, I would.

Always an issue for late night orders at this location. The restaurant says open 24hrs, but on 2 seperate occasions I was denied service at the drive thru window and told they close at 3:30am to prepare for breakfast. Why keep advertising as 24hrs?? Went back a third time, after ordering through the app and they didnt have the item. Employee told me to cancel the order because they're not going to process it. I've never had to cancel an order before so I wasn't sure where to find it in the app. I showed her the app and asked if she could help me find where to cancel it. She just abruptly said there's a way to cancel in there. Showed her again I wasnt seeing that option and she rudely said click on customer serach. Again no option for that... only an option. She went on to repeat that they are not going to process the order so I will get a refund in 3 days. Mind you after searching around in the app I was able to cancel the order and it said 1-7 days for the refund. Just poor customer service, she couldn't have asked if I wanted something else just blatantly said she wasnt going to process the order and started dismissing me. Very disappointed!

Mexican restaurant
Chipotle Mexican Grill is a fast-food establishment that specializes in Mexican cuisine. They offer a variety of options such as customized burritos, tacos, and bowls. This particular Chipotle location stands out for its consistent delivery service, unlike some other restaurants in the York area. Customers have never encountered any issues with running out of specific meats or toppings here. The restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness, and the staff members are friendly and welcoming.
I went in yesterday 6/9/25. There was a decently long line. The employees worked quickly and efficiently. I also noticed that the employees were speaking kindly to each other and had very good communication between each other. I’m very sensitive to noticing employees having tension between each other and frustration during a rush. So I was impressed and happy to see them remaining cool headed and friendly. Props to the team. Food was great too.

I haven’t been to this location in a couple months because I had several orders over some time that were not good. I was sad to stop visiting this location. I decided to go tonight to see if things got better and I’m so happy to say my order was top notch! Even though it was very busy. It was made well and didn’t have toppings falling all over the place. It had everything I requested on it and the ingredients tasted fresh. Whatever changes that were made or whatever team you got keep up the good work!

I came into the East York, PA Chipotle around 9pm on a Sunday, and I was genuinely blown away by the experience. Every single staff member was incredibly polite, helpful, and hardworking — even that close to closing time. You could tell they really cared about providing great service and keeping everything fresh and clean. The energy and teamwork were awesome to see. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better experience. Huge shoutout to the whole crew — you all deserve recognition for going above and beyond!

I ordered a kids meal 2 soft tacos with sides of rice, fajita veggies, and chicken. This is what it looked like straight out of the bag, not touched. 1 crispy taco no chicken, 1 piece of a pepper and the rice that’s it. Half the order wasn’t here.
Alivia K — Google review
Tasty as always! I got double meat and the portion was decent — not huge, but enough to satisfy. The food quality was on par with every other Chipotle I’ve been to, which is a good thing. Only small issue: the restroom light was a bit dim, which made it feel a little off. But overall, solid experience.
Wei S — Google review
The workers here were more interested in chatting with each other than serving the line of customers. We were all standing around waiting on proteins that had just been placed on the grill, and there was no rush to get anything prepared. I never leave bad reviews, but after this visit I felt the need to warn everyone not to go to this location. Waste of time and money!
Olivia C — Google review
This location specifically I am not impressed. My pickup order was not available when I arrived. They claimed someone else must have taken it. Did not offer solutions. Did not offer to remake it. Approached the situation with a “not my fault not my problem” mentality. If you have issues with people taking orders, maybe try what other stores do and require they show you the order on the phone or provide the name for pickup instead of leaving it on an unattended shelf right next to the door.
Stephanie M — Google review
My fiance ordered here for her lunch break, instead of ordering from the location right next to her it ordered from a location 45 minutes away, because its 2025 and location services for cell phones haven't been invented yet. Not a big deal right? Just call and explain and get them to make it at the right one. Wrong, the employees don't have time to talk to all the upset customers on the phone so you have to wait on the phone for an hour then be told they won't refund the money until you spend more money there. Sorry Im looking for a restaurant not a casino where you win food if your lucky.

Nature & Parks
Rocky Ridge Park is a forested recreational area that boasts of numerous multi-purpose trails, along with amenities like a softball field and playground. Apart from being an excellent summer retreat, it also serves as an ideal destination for the winter season. Its Christmas light display is particularly noteworthy, featuring lights of different kinds acquired over several years- bigger and smaller incandescent light strings, as well as LED lights.
It is a beautiful park with a variety of play areas scattered throughout the trails. I especially enjoyed the area set aside for playing in the dirt. It's supposed to be for kids, but it was empty the day I was there and I'm not ashamed to say I had a blast. The trails aren't difficult and allow for a delightful walking experience. There's also an overlook spot that highlights the scenery.

Awesome area for some light trekking, and rock scrambling. Trails are suitable for all skill levels. Parking is easy and trails are well marked.

We had a graduation party here for my niece, it was a very nice location. Nice private pavilions, all accomodations within short distance. And there was a playground connected to each pavilion. I would recommend this for anyone looking to have a party or get together.
Pipy B — Google review
Rocky Ridge is a great spot for taking the dogs on lots of trails. The park is very clean and trails are clearly marked. the best time of day to attend is definitely around sunset.
Brittany D — Google review
This is a beautiful and peaceful park to spend a day or some hours. It is clean, safe, and calm. You will find here plenty of benches, pick nick tables, several kids’ playgrounds, a public restroom. Two overview decks open in front of your eyes beautiful views of the surroundings. If you are lucky, while strolling in the park, you might see rabbits, squirrels and hear a lot of birdies. The place was not crowded, however, I visited on Tuesday afternoon. Several large parkings are available in the area. I met some couples, parents with kids, dog owners and single hikers. I followed the “white” path, which went through the forest, it took me around an hour. The path was clean and not very steep, suitable for beginners. You find the map of the paths on the park’s website. Overall, this is a beautiful place if you want to do physical activity in nature or generally rest from city noises, people, cars, etc., however, if you are a tourist and seeking something spectacular, may be you should pick another place.

Only been here once or twice in the summer. Winter, they have a great Christmas light display and activity. The lights were fun because you can tell that they have been acquired over the decades. Bigger incandescent light strings, smaller incandescent light string, LED lights . . . Pavilions have a fire places going to warm up by, coco, trains. Easy walking, not sure about wheelchair accessibility but it might be a go. Park Rangers are around to help if needed, pleasant and knowledgable.

This was a great Park. I enjoyed all of the hiking trails that I went on (Red, White and Teal Rectangle trails). The Mountain Laurels along the trails were in bloom which was nice. The views from the Observation Decks near the Powerline towers were also great.

Nature & Parks
The John C. Rudy County Park offers a vast and beautiful space for dogs to run and play, complete with separate areas based on the size of the dogs. The park also features a playground, numerous trails, and even a creek. While there may be some inconveniences such as an inaccessible dumpster or closed sections of the rail trail due to liability concerns, these are small quibbles in comparison to the overall enjoyable experience offered at this impressive dog park.
This park is a hidden treasure. Has wonderful trails to walk/run. It's massive, has at least that I know of, 2 completely different entrances. I found that out by going to the Holiday Light Show. It was very dark & not a soul in sight. Thank goodness I decided to re-route and go back to a different starting point because I found the correct entrance, but the light show was incredible! The workers really turned the place into a magical adventure. My doggies and so many others loved it! The park is very dog friendly too!! I'm so glad we found this park.

Jon Rudy Park is one of very few parks that are available for dogs in the area. There are two main areas for the dogs that are separated by how big your dog is one field for small dogs and one field for larger dogs. There are so much space for your dog to run and explore the only bad part is there are no trash cans close to the dog fields.
Brittany D — Google review
Very nice park and parking at the northern Trailhead for the Heritage County Rail Trail. I still think of it as the York Heritage Rail Trail. Little hard to get to from I-83 with all the industry and warehouses. A lot of truck traffic
Dennis C — Google review
For a little over a mile walk around the paved trail, you get two nice (for parks) bathroom stops, barked at by the puppies at the puppy park, chattered at by squirrels, and can visit people playing at the playground, horseshoe pits, soccer fields, cooking at the pavilions, and so much more. A great place for a lazy walk at any part of the day. Oh, amd the free book library usually has some good gets.
Anthony B — Google review
Two separate fully fenced dog parks; one for smaller dogs; one for larger dogs. Off leash, free run dog park featuring trees, large rock clusters and seating. Water fountains turned on during warmer weather. All dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet. Great dog park….on Saturday mornings I’ve seen 20+ dogs there.
Annette — Google review
Great park for walking. There are plenty of play areas if you have young kids. The off-leash dog park is where we were today.
Aaron D — Google review
Beautiful park with lots of open space, trails, as well as a bunch of large dog parks. This park is pretty much the end of the York heritage rail trail and worth the trip up. The trail is not closed north of 30, the rail bridge over a section says closed because debris can fall when a trail passes over, and its a way they’re covering liability.
The C — Google review
This is a very nice park. The main trail is paved and partially shaded in most areas. It is a nice place to bike, run or hike.

The Appell Center for the Performing Arts consists of two theaters, the Capitol and the Strand, both rich in history. Nowadays, these venues host live Broadway shows and other performances. The facility offers ample parking, a friendly staff, and a variety of snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. The seating is comfortable with plenty of room to move around. Visitors can enjoy exceptional sound quality while watching amazing performances by acclaimed artists such as Lake Street Dive or Enter the Haggis.
Attended a concert at his venue for the first time. Not really a bad seat in the house, and the beer lines and bathroom lines, although long, moved very quickly

Excellent venue to see a performance. Sound system was well suited for the performers ( Foster & O'Hara). York symphony orchestra was not overpowering. seats were comfortable . Only negative is the process of ordering tickets online. It was not very clear for non techy people.

Nice small venue. Row N seats have severely limited leg room. @6'2", I couldn't sit there. Should be better identified as limited legroom. I was able to be relocated and enjoyed the concert.

This place is so cool. The old architecture and style warms my heart. They bring in great talent so the shows are always good. The only thing I can suggest is maybe a little more cleaning as it tends to be a little dusty in the nooks and crannies.

Took my husband to see the Rush Tribute Project perform and this place was beautiful inside. The attendants were very helpful and the concession stand was well put together. Even though we had a fire alarm and had to evacuate, they got us cleared out and back in to enjoy the rest of the show. The separate parking garage we ended up in was so close to the venue. Great all around!

100 stars so much fun and super easy to access. While it's not required I would recommend buying your tickets ahead of time so it's faster. They have food and beverages available, so bring your wallet/phone. Super nice people. Very funny workers. Definitely coming again next year. ( we went on the last day available so there wasn't as much snow as there would be during peak times or after/ during snow)
Arrow L — Google review
We took a family outing to AvalancheXpress a couple weeks ago on a Saturday morning. We have come here in the past and had a great time, but it seems like this place has gone downhill fast (no pun intended). Let's start with the ticketing process. Our kids had received AvalancheXpress gift cards for Christmas. Although they want you to reserve a spot online, the website does not accept their gift cards. If you want to ensure there's a balance on the gift card, don't try to use the website listed on the back of the card - you'll just get an error page. They also had no way to use the promotional tickets my kids had earned through their school reading program on the website. All this being the case, we had to just show up and hope for the best. When you finish up at the ticket counter, you're timed entry will round down to the previous hour, so don't take too long. Once you accomplish the task of purchasing your entry tickets, the first thing you'll notice is a large combined mound of inflated tubes, deflated tubes, mud-covered tubes, tubes filled with solid blocks of ice, etc. There is no signage to tell you whether you should grab a tube before entering the line and no one directing you what to do. Once you figure out where to actually enter the line (no signage for that either) you'll find yourself in a mix of people with and without tubes because no one knows what to do. While you wait, you can occupy yourself by observing the wide variety of trash all over the place - golf balls, deflated tubes, literal garbage, broken fence posts. Being this is marketed as a "resort", it looks a little more like a garbage dump. The lines were super slow moving - the employees didn't seem like they had been fully trained or really knew what was going on. They have a walking path if you want to skip the lift, however they told us we would still need to wait in the line, so what's the point? Eventually one of the metal gates fell over and people were skipping the line in favor of walking anyway, which was also frustrating since we were told we couldn't do this. So I guess as long as you don't ask, it's all good? When all was said and done, we were able to actually go down the hill about 4-5 times in our two hour block of time. Between the painful ticket purchasing experience, long lines, lack of direction, and trash everywhere, it's pretty hard to justify this for a family outing at $40 a ticket. This place could be great, but they need to do better.
Will G — Google review
Very nice place to go tubing after a snow fall had a great time! Have food truck, heated restrooms, fires, as well as pavilions with chairs and tables. All works are very polite and helpful! They as well have tubing lift to take you up so you don’t have to walk up the hill!
Lena D — Google review
Went today with my family from out of town and didn’t have a great experience. For $45 a person, it’s way more worth it to travel the extra 20 minutes to RoundTop. There were only three functioning tubing lanes and the snow was dirty. Many people were even getting stuck mid-way down the lanes. We got to tube 4x in 1.5 hours. When we arrived, I asked if there was some sort of discount for the poor conditions. They advised me that if we were unhappy with the conditions we could leave and come back on another day, which wasn’t an option as my family doesn’t live here . They said they couldn’t close today because they were “sold out.” In short, expensive, poor conditions, and not great customer service. Attached are photos from today.
Kate S — Google review
Horrible experience. $45 a person for what I call a joke. Not only is it nothing like the website pictures describe, it's also dangerous and in a disheveled condition. I went down once and didn't go again. My children, being children continued to take trips down. My daughter came close to severely injuring herself in the unsafe conditions. That was the final trip down for them. We drove 2 hours, spent almost $300 and it was awful. Do yourself a favor if you're looking to travel. Go somewhere else! Massanutten I can personally attest to. Amazing in comparison. Pictures below for reference. Clearly it's nothing like they advertise. Do better Avalanche!
Heather H — Google review
We will never go there again. Trash cans overflowing so much that trash was littered all over the ground everywhere you looked. Broken pipes, broken and fallen signs. So poorly maintained and managed. Staff were incredibly rude and looks miserable. The whole flow of the tubing was so poorly executed. It was absolutely disgusting. Never again.
Katie S — Google review
Fun place to visit, you get 3hrs. The lift takes both you and the tube uphill so it's pretty cool. There are picnic tables and fire pits in front for spectators to relax and watch. We went on a warm day and the lines were still decent. Plenty of helpful staff. Is located right on the town near a hotel in a populated area
Zumbagirl 9 — Google review
A nice getaway place to enjoy some snow tubing and ice skating. The place has a good dine in spot and the surroundings are pretty beautiful. Enjoyed the snow tubing thoroughly. The ice skating rink was not that good though, especially for beginners like me. I found it pretty hard to get going. There were fireplaces to warm ourselves up outdoors. Enjoyed the trip whatsoever.

It's a great spot for date night, offering interesting vegetarian options and a variety of cocktails, mocktails, and desserts.
A York must-visit! Prompt, friendly service! Stellar, tasty food! Be sure to save room for dessert! This is one of those places that is so good you plan a trip around when they're open just to visit again. I feel so revived! 😁

Had 4 appetizers. Best to worse. The Genera Tso cauliflower was amazing. The lobster sticks were very good. The devil eggs were ok and the wings were average. The cauliflower salad was very good and the large is shareable. Loved the atmosphere and the service was very fast on a Friday. Will return and try more food

Cute little spot, looks like a small-town fancy restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the chefs menu inspiration was unique enough to stand out. The wild moose was of course a fun novelty, paired with pickled beets and mustard seeds. The potato bravas were incredible, just the right amount of pungent accoutrements to spice up an otherwise one dimensional dish. The lobster fingers were hot and crispy, the batter was not thick, almost tempura texture. The burger had a great char, and the foei Gras mayo was very strong, they didn't skimp on the expensive ingredients. The donut holes were clearly fresh from the feyer and every one of the dipping sauces were uniquely delicious. Excellent beer selection including a Tripel. The cocktails were strong and still balanced. Brenna was attentive despite it being busy. Service was top notch.

PERFECT SMALL WEDDING RECEPTION VENUE! We had our wedding reception at Revival in July 2023 and I literally cannot say enough good things about them. I'm actually scared to write this review because I know I'm going to leave out something amazing they did. But I'll start with the basics -- we had 43 guests for a Friday afternoon reception at 12pm-4pm, which at the time that we booked the event was prior to Revival opening to the public at 4pm (I think their hours have now changed). Nancy Guido was our event coordinator and she was simply and impossibly incredible. Although we heard we were their first wedding reception, they've hosted many private events before and Nancy was on top of every little detail and was an absolute delight to communicate with throughout the whole 12 months that we spent planning with her. You know how some folks are so diligently communicative that you just have immediate trust in their work? That is Nancy. It helped us sleep at night when planning this event. Revival has a dining room side and a bar side and Nancy had the idea of removing some dining tables after the meal to make room for dancing, which worked out fabulously. The atmosphere is wonderful for a wedding; because Revival is already a vibe, we needed no centerpieces or other decorations, only table numbers and a couple bridesmaids' bouquets from the ceremony. It was a challenge to find a venue of the right size -- most standard "wedding" venues are for 200+ people, but Revival was just right. The layout is cozy for 43 guests in the dining room but in the best way since it gives an intimate and convivial feel to the occasion, which is exactly what we wanted. People then spread out to the bar side as well after the meal because of removing tables for dancing. Throughout the reception, Nancy herself as well as waitstaff kept checking in with us to make sure the bride & groom were well-fed and always had drinks in hand. I am also vegan and can attest that the chef's vegan options were TOP NOTCH -- I still dream about that eggplant meatloaf encrusted with crispy black beans and perfectly seasoned. All the guests raved about the beef and chicken options as well, and the portions were generous. No one was going hungry at this wedding. We had a full open bar as well, and of course Revival is also known for their cocktails, but guests who don't drink also went out of their way to say how they appreciated the quality & selection of mocktails. OH and the dessert table after dinner was so gorgeous -- all this décor and aesthetic arrangement of it that you see in the photos was all Revival, I had nothing to do with that. This is what I'm saying -- above & beyond in every way. Being in downtown York, Revival was also very close to other spots for bar hopping afterward as well as our hotel (Yorktowne). We had our ceremony elsewhere, but Revival also has an upstairs space that I think could totally work for a ceremony (just ask Nancy!). Last but not least, the pricing for this event was completely reasonable we thought, especially considering all the months of planning that went into it and level of service on the day-of. We just could not be happier with Revival as our reception venue and would recommend it to any couple looking for a small venue with amazing food, wonderful staff, an excellent vibe, and prime location. Thank you thank you thank you to Nancy & all the Revival staff for making our day so fabulous. PHOTO CREDIT goes to RICHARD & TARA PHOTOGRAPHY (Dallastown, PA)

Decided to give this York City spot a try and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. I apologize for the lighting of the photographs, but the food is fabulous. The customer service was stellar and everyone was very friendly. One recommendation I would make is that you should make a reservation.

The atmosphere was great and the server was very nice. Unfortunately the food was not very good. The pork belly tacos where over seasoned and very spicy. The wings where so dry that one was inedible, it was practically just bones, also received blue cheese instead of the ranch I ordered. The pommes aligot, was good. We had also ordered the butchers cut which was a NY strip. Ordered it medium but received it very rare. Overall, I wish the food had tasted better since I loved the atmosphere so much. At the least it is worth a stop for drinks.

First time downtown York in long time. Sat outside on a Saturday around 4. No wait. They also had seating in the square, but didn't know until we were seated. First time here. Service was excellent!!!! Food and drinks were great and prices reasonable. We didn't do anything fancy as far a food goes, but they had a great menu. Lots of No complaints. I'd recommend.

Fine dining restaurant
The Left Bank Restaurant & Bar is an upscale eatery located in York's downtown, offering a warm and modern interior along with internationally inspired cuisine and cocktails. One of its signature drinks is the perfectly-mixed Dark & Stormy cocktail, featuring light rum, ginger beer, simple syrup, fresh lemon, and a Gosling rum float. This award-winning destination has been part of the city's foodie scene for decades and offers a fine dining experience with a selection of international fare.
If you haven’t tried this restaurant yet, you are missing out..great food, exquisite service..their filet is to die for- served with mashed potatoes perfectly seasoned with rosemary and tarragon. So delicate that it lifted the flavor of the potatoes to just melt in your mouth with a flowery, savory, buttery song. Our wait person suggested a beautiful peppery red that was so delicious and complement ed the steak to perfection..My husband ordered the seafood risotto. It was beautiful, buttery and just delightful- he had to get a to-go box…very healthy portions! DO NOT skip dessert..;) Definitely good to put on your list-stop by for dinner..you wont be sorry!

Lovely dining experience in downtown York. Exceptional food and drink. We went all out with apps and entrees, and Left Bank did not disappoint. They could do better with their coffee but we are admittedly coffee snobs. :) Overall, highly recommend for sophisticated pallets.

My husband and I went for date night and we just loved everything aboit the place. But most of all the food was AMAZING! definetely worth the price. I've eaten at places before with a high price point where the food didn't justify the prices. But this place is definetely worth it. I'm also a great cook, so it's hard for me to eat out and enjoy the food or at least make me feel like it's worth it, cause I usually go "eh, I can make that". And when I eat out I want my taste buds to feel like I can't replicate this taste. Oh and our waitress was great!

This has always been one of our favorite places! Food, service and atmosphere were spot on! A must try is there banana pepper flash fried calamari and grilled caesar salad… Amazing!

Had a beautiful night here. My husband and I just married a week ago and I called in to see if we could have a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us at our table as a surprise. All staff were very courteous, congratulating us on our wedding, asking details. Our waitress poured the Prosecco throughout the night, coming back frequently to top us off. Another waitstaff member would do the same for our waters, we didn't have to lift a finger! We started off with their calamari in a banana pepper parmesan cream sauce which was absolutely perfect. Definitely get this if you go. Next we moved onto Caesar salads which I only wish was made with more greens or leafier romaine rather than chopped romaine hearts, but I chalk that up to personal preference. I had the roasted whole quail with sausage stuffing. Paired it with a Tuscan blend red and all of it went so well together. My husband had their special, crab-topped flounder. Our waitress helped him pair it with a white that complimented it fairly well. We ended the night with a delicious creme brulee and an espresso. We were there for roughly three hours, but never once felt rushed. It was a great special dinner and the next time we want to celebrate or treat ourselves we'll definitely come back here!

The experience there was top tier. We went there for crabcakes but they were sold out, so was the lamb. But we made it work. Greta was really sweet. And the setting was very relaxing. And the drinks, oh yeah on point. I had the grilled octopus for an appetizer and I wish I took pictures of the dish because it was absolutely beautiful & tasted great as well! I got the shrimp & scallops with a side of foie something can't remember the name. The husband got the local steak & we have the local ice cream with a waffle. Like I said everything was great! We WILL be going back.

The food was amazing and the service was on point. I loved the charming and retro styled decor. I cracked open a book from one of the shelves and it was dated 1909! The window seat is surprisingly airtight and not drafty. I got the grilled Caesar which was awesome. I also had the salmon, which was a nice dish, not too heavy on the stomach but definitely filling. My boyfriend got the quail, which was so flavorful. This is by far one of the best spots in york, if not the top spot.

Restaurant
Nestled near the historic downtown of York, Central Family Restaurant is a charming local gem that beckons both residents and visitors alike. This cozy diner may not boast an impressive exterior, resembling more of a warehouse than a classic eatery, but step inside and you'll be greeted by an inviting atmosphere adorned with nostalgic memorabilia from the area’s past.
Central Family restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and I am so happy we went there for breakfast. Everything was amazing. we both had the eggs, bacon, home fries and toast breakfast with everything being done to perfection. I just loved the mismatched "orphan" coffee cups! one cannot go wrong coming to the Central Family restaurant 😊

The staff is very friendly and I did find it to be charming however that's where the positivity ends. The food is overpriced for what you get. The first picture is the Seafood Trio I ordered and I was looking forward to it since the dish cost $20.99. It was supposed to be shrimp, haddock, and a crab cake. As you can see from the picture, it did not live up to its expectations. That is a sad trio. Four pieces of small shrimp just placed to fill space, the small piece of haddock even more sad looking with barely much color, and the crab cake plopped on there; very poor presentation. The taste was worse; not a hint of seasoning, very bland and left me dissatisfied. For the bit of seasoning on the crab cake, the crab cake became the most seasoned of the trio. The baked potato became the star of the dish instead of the trio itself. The spaghetti my son had was drowned in tomato sauce leaving a plate of sauce when he was done and the garlic bread was less than satisfying. The cheeseburger my daughter had looked more appetizing than my $20.99 trio. With that said, take pride in your food, season it well and price down if you decide to keep your food at these standards. For 4 people and what we ordered, it was not worth $69. If I was only rating according to your staff, then you'd get a higher rating because our waitress was great.
Gemma B — Google review
The food is delicious although I did find an eyebrow hair in my potatoes. I wasn't planning on eating all of them anyway so it was no big deal and I didn't report it. The rest of the meal was delicious.

I was looking for a restaurant that offered a variety in the cuisine and came across Central family restaurant. I went there and ordered Take Out a large for six people. The food was cooked fresh so it came out nice and hot. There was plenty of parking in the parking lot and the employees were very helpful and cheerful.

I can't believe this place is allowed to serve their food to the public. I took two bites and couldn't take it. It tasted truly awful. They were nice, but they need a new chef. Two pieces of white chicken should not look like this. The gravy was awful and the stuffing wasn't done...pretty sure the chicken wasn't either. Bones and veins sticking out everywhere. My gosh, it gave me nausea even thinking about it later. It looked like they just took an axe to a chicken in back and threw a piece in the oven. Nightmare material for real.

Nino’s Pizza has become our favorite place to go for a slice of pie! Their pizza is amazing quality and always looks presentable! I highly recommend the buffalo chicken pizza, veggie pizza, and cheese pizza as they will absolutely bring you satisfaction and hunger for more!! I also deeply recommend you try one of their subs as they make their bread from SCRATCH!! Fries are delicious too. This has to be the best pizza place in York! Can't think of anyone that even comes close! I always have a great experience here. The owner and the staff are always very friendly and treated me like a regular since my first visit. The salads are beautiful, the pizza is always delicious. But my favorite is the Veggie Lovers pizza! It's really a work of art, I've never tasted pizza so good! It's a little out of the way for me, but I always try to remember to grab something when I'm in that part of town.

Nature & Parks
William Kain Park is a picturesque outdoor space with scenic trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. It also offers two lakes where visitors can rent kayaks and enjoy the water. The park boasts several pavilions available for rent, making it an ideal location for family gatherings or work events. There is a boat ramp suitable for various types of boats, from inflatables to bassboats.
This is a beautiful park with a lot of options to enjoy. Wanna play? You have a beautiful playground. Wanna enjoy the scenery? Visit the lake and also you can see around. Wanna enjoy nature with exercise? There are different trails based on the difficulty level. You could walk or ride a bike. Wanna do a boat ride? It's a very good place for a boat ride and also they have boat rentals. But make sure if it is open. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery around the lake and we walked through one of the trails. It was good. In the trail there was a small tunnel. It was good to walk. The boat rental is currently closed. The restrooms are well maintained. The trail is near the highway so we cannot avoid vehicle sound. The rest is good.

A beautiful recreational park. A truly stunning view of Lake Codorus. Shimmering clear blue water, picnic tables, and plenty of fresh air and sunshine make this park a family favorite! 😎
Michael P — Google review
Did the Lake Redman and Lake Williams loop, ended up being about 15 miles (we made a few wrong turns). Most of the trail is well maintained but there are some things to mention. The trail 7 area (Northeast side I believe) is very overgrown, so I would wear long pants and sleeves. I had some ticks on me after this hike even with that. There were some muddy parts on trail 2 around Lake Williams, not the worst I've seen but would still prepare for that. Lastly, the trail takes you through two drainage tunnels that go under I-83 on the Lake Redman side. The water can be deep in the tunnels so either prepare to get wet or wear water proof clothes. Other than that the good majority of the loop was well maintained and enjoyable.

Long walking trail that goes around two lakes. You can rent kayaks and paddle boats for the lake. There are tons of blueberry bushes along the trail. There are beautiful mushrooms growing along the trail too.
Sarah M — Google review
Fish in the lake are still a little on the small end biggest bass I caught was about 14inches. That was this past September the second Sunday. But lots of activity as far as panfish. The lake is getting more cold water out flow then it is warm. The spillway is holding alot of fish though. Some bigger bass still exist in the creek just below it. Plenty of trails and plenty of deer. I know I saw a giant 6 pointer with over a 20 inch spread thick rack. He was a brute.
Brandon K — Google review
William H. Kain County Park offers some nice features. There’s spacious trailer parking available for those bringing in boats, although the spots are not pull-through and can be somewhat limited. The boat launch is average in size, and there’s also a kayak launch assist system available—great if you’d rather not get your feet wet or use the actual boat ramp. Boaters are EXTREMELY friendly and patient here when it comes to waiting their turn on the ramp or offering a lending hand. One of the standout features is the extremely clean, wheelchair-accessible bathroom located right next to the launch area, which is a major plus. If you don't own a kayak, there's a rental station conveniently located nearby. The park does have a few small launch sites convenient for kayakers, canoes, and SUP located around the park; however those launch areas have rather dense vegetation in the water you would need to get through. Conveniently these tiny launch sites do have their own parking lot but do not have trailer parking. The park grounds are free of trash, but one noticeable downside is the abundance of goose droppings on the grassy areas, which can be off-putting if you’re trying to relax by the water or have a picnic in the common areas. The common areas do have Pavilions with tables you can utilize if not being rented out. The park also offers a beachy section where people can fish from and picnic. The park also has convenient trails throughout. Noise here is one factor to consider. The proximity to the highway means you’re almost always within earshot of traffic, so it’s not the most peaceful experience. However, after a while, the highway noise becomes background noise that you can't notice. Great easy going people make this park an enjoyable place all around.

Nixon Park Nature Center is a 14,000-square-foot facility located within 187 acres of diverse natural habitats. Established in 1978, the center features interactive exhibits such as a working honey bee hive and an amphibians of Pennsylvania display. In 1992, it expanded to include a global collection of specimens donated by William Koller. Visitors can explore various trails, including stroller-friendly paved paths and more challenging routes like the geology trail.
What a great place to visit. It has displays that cater to children and families, but offer items of I terest to everyone. It is a great place for borders, both inside and outside. There are trails, great Accessibility inside the building, and n it appears to have special events, classes, and kids camps at times.

We love coming to the nature center. This summer’s weekly creature drop in event was awesome! My son loves coming here and it’s truly our home away from home at this point… we’re there all the time! Whether it’s checking out the animals, saying hi to the turtles on the logs, or playing in the stream… we always have a great time at Nixon Park! The staff is awesome. The volunteers working this summer at the weekly event were so informative, kind & engaging with us!

While currently closed, the Nature center is an amazing place to visit for adults and children. It has animal displays and education, a play area, a bird watching area, and loads of information on the habitats that surround it. There are also beautiful hiking trails suitable for all ages. I believe they do not allow pets, but all humans are welcome.

I love visiting here with my toddler, and he loves it just as much. The museum is not so big it's overwhelming, with just enough for him to touch that he's satisfied. The trails are well maintained, as is the play area with the creek. Every time I've gone I've absolutely loved going and find something new.

Amazing indoor exhibit with many different species on display! So much to see inside before venturing out into the surrounding forest. Great hiking trails with varying levels of difficulty. I'm sure it would be even more beautiful when everything is in bloom. A must see in central PA!

I came across this place on Google. I saw a lot of wonderful reviews already, and they hardly do justice. This discovery center is two stories of lots of interactive things for children to see and touch. Then they have a map that showed maybe 10 different trails to take including a fully paved one that is very easy for strollers. If you're adventurous like we were, you can take off on the geology Trail at the end of the paved trail. It's a little trying, but we made it through with a tiny little stroller. An off-road jogging stroller would have been preferable, but it might be a little wide for some of the areas. Is a nice mostly smooth but semi bumpy from the roots and rocks.

We walk our dog here at least once a day. The park is nice and big with plenty of things to do. They have a big walking path we walk that is just over a mile long, or you could do smaller paths. They also have things like a pavilion, kids playground, basketball hoops, and a few fields.

It’s a nice park with lots of different slides and of course swings and picnic tables love that it’s fenced in and has some of the rubber playground tiles. Please note the whole park isn’t made of the rubber tiles only about I would say 60% of it but it’s still nice to have. There’s indoor bathrooms and plenty of parking. I will say the only thing that makes me a little sad. Is they removed some of the play equipment? But maybe they plan on replacing it and putting new play equipment in idk 🤷‍♀️. Also, it does get extremely hot at this park. Especially in the summertime since there’s no shade

One of the best places when talking quality of food. Pizzas are great, Stromboli’s fantastic, and most of all the BEST wings you can find anywhere. They have the most meaty wings in the area. The only place I get them anymore. Everywhere tips you off and gives you the smallest little pieces but not here, keep doing what you guys are doing we love your location!

The chicken may be good but $75 for 48 wings that some were smaller than a chicken nugget completely not worth it. Especially when 50 wings are only $45!! Which is what I thought I was paying. Then they tried to say it was because I got more than 2 flavors. Never had this issue in Shrewsbury!! Way overpriced at Queen St may be owned by same people but way better service in Shrewsbury won’t buy from Queen St again!!

Done ordering food at this place. Every time it takes absolutely forever to get your order. This time I spent 15 minutes on hold for their phone system to hang up on me when I called back and told them I had been on hold. The girl told me it would still be a few more minutes and they would be back because there was only one girl answering the phones. That's fine my business goes to Romas from now on.

We got an order of boneless and bone in wings, probably the best wings we’ve ever had. The bone in wings, they might be the thickest wings ever and the flavor was fantastic. The boneless had the perfect crunch to them that you usually have to ask for. Found our new wing spot that’s for sure!! On a football Sunday could pick up the order in 20min, can’t beat that.

Pizza and wings are awsome. We get the food to go, the seating inside the restaurant is VERY rundown. Expensive compared to the last pizza place we used to buy from, it closed. 2 pies and 12 wings for 60 dollars. Tried multiple pizza places in the area, and this place had the best.

Decided to stop here with the family one evening. Was greeted by 4 individuals who worked here. At the the time we were the only diners in the establishment. However, there we a lot of take out orders. We ordered 3 subs and a large pizza. The food was good and the service was amazing. See the pictures below. We had ordered a Turkey sub, Ham sub and Italian sub. It came with French fries. We did not care for the fries. They were a bit limp and soggy. The pizza was food and the crust was different. My son who is picky about his pizza...liked it. And asked to come back again. The wait staff was young, mostly teenagers. And they were so nice, very attentive and should be commended for their hard work. The interior was not fancy but adequate. Over all good food, great service and you should give it a try. They have daily specials and wings.

Don't waste your time coming here. 9/10 times they cant get the order right even after confirming over the phone multiple times. Management is rude and unprofessional. Laughing at me cause I had to come back and return an order that they messed up at 845pm. Everytime I have come here there has been an issue and management doesn't ever seem to resolve the problem in a professional manner. Honestly dont understand how they are still up and running. I will no longer be supporting this business and will be going elsewhere.

Years ago before moving south I ordered here all the time when working in Dallastown. Told all nurses I oriented if they want to order out that their food is good. Haven’t eaten there since I moved back. Last week I ordered a cheesesteak with marinara and wings. Loved the cheesesteak. Wings were crispy but a little overcooked so dry. Today I called to order a cheesesteak for dinner and decided to get 2 so I would have lunch for tomorrow. I told the girl taking my order I wanted sauce 3 times. I get home and opened my cheesesteak and no sauce on either. I called and spoke to Jen the manager and she said I could drive back 20 minutes one way or more during rush hour traffic to get new subs. Been up since 430 and worked 10 hours so no I’m not driving back. Basically told me I could come and get new subs or the sauce. I said someone can deliver the right subs to me and she said you’re not n our delivery area. Exactly! I live too far to deliver to but I’m suppose to drive back to you to remedy your mistake. I wanted a refund or new subs when I was in the area. She said she can’t do that so I said well you just lost a customer. She didn’t seem concerned about it and argued with me. They lost a customer and word of mouth advertising over $20. They screwed up my order then wanted me to drive back to their store. No thanks! Poor customer service and I won’t be back!

Pizza delivery
Domino's Pizza is a popular delivery and carryout chain known for its extensive selection of pizzas and various other dishes and sides. Customers appreciate the consistent quality of their food, with orders always being prepared as requested. The prices at Domino's are also highly regarded, offering good value for money. The staff at this location are described as decent people who accommodate custom requests, ensuring a positive experience for customers. Overall, Domino's Pizza stands out for its reliability and affordability in the pizza delivery industry.
This is the only dominoes I go to! The staff is so friendly and they always get my order right. Shaq knows what I want to order before I even say my name on the phone lol. Amazing service! UPDATE- they got rid of or transferred most of the old employees and the new mangers aren't friendly or attentive to their regular customers at all. I've actually pretty much stopped going because of the interaction I had with the new "managers"
Katelyn M — Google review
For the past couple of years Dominos has been our "go to" place for pizza. We very much enjoyed the pan crust pizzas from here. However, recently there has been a change of staff at Domino's and not for the better. When I go inside to pick up my orders the workplace reminds me of the old keystone cops slapstick comedy movies where everyone runs around bumping into each other, the employees are all yelling at each other, and no one seems to be a competent supervisor directing the employees tasks and work flow. Our orders recently have been getting made incorrectly, and the quantity of cheese and toppings seems to have been reduced by 50%. This is really shameful for a national chain business, regardless if it is company owned or a franchise. It seems like the owner just doesn't care about quality.
Dale B — Google review
Absolutely terrible service in every possible way. We had three different family members order on three separate occasions (delivered to the same address) and got terrible results every time. Once we were told there was a delivery special and when it was delivered, we were charged full price, as it turns out it was only a pickup special. The manager did nothing to compensate. Another time we scheduled a delivery, hours in advance, for a get-together and the food was still late by almost thirty minutes. A third time, our order was completely wrong. Again, nothing was done in any case to compensate us. This is after YEARS of giving them our business. We won't ever order from this location again.

This dominos continues to uphold excellency when it comes service and customer satisfaction especially since the new management took over. I have been ordering from this location for 7 years. This Domino's provides exceptional customer service, with attentive and efficient staff who ensure quick deliveries and a pleasant experience every time. 10/10 recommended.

Seems like they are having problems lately. Orders not right or not ready or missing items. Portions in pasta bowls about 1/2 full.

This particular location has gone down hill since taken over by a New owner. The staff is lethargic and don't pay attention to the customers waiting on orders that are actually ready, instead they ignore you and continue making this terrible pizza with minimal cheese and toppings,, a very thin layer of everything and then they have the nerve to have the oven on too high so the skimpy amount of toppings they put on will come out hard and crusty, especially if you get the thin crust. I saw my order come out the oven and then sit for 5 minutes instead of it being boxed and handed to me and they knew I was waiting on it.... But I took a good look at the overcooked garbage and just walked out... Why would I wait any longer and then pay for that garbage

During my recent visit to Vincenzo's Place while spending time with my mother, I decided to try their gluten-free pizza for the first time. To say it was a delightful experience would be an understatement! The pizza was simply the best I've ever tasted, complemented by exceptional service and a warm atmosphere. The owners were actively engaged in their work and took the time to share insights about their culinary passion and personal beliefs, which added a lovely touch to our dining experience.
Came here the other day while in town. It’s a small little restaurant. We actually passed it while looking for it. It’s very nice and clean inside, they clean the tables as people leave which is nice. Food: I’m a sucker for mozzarella sticks. These were the best I’ve had in a very long time. This alone gives the place 5 stars and calls for a repeat visit very soon. Pizza was pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever had, and not the worst either. I brought some home to my son who loved it and helped me eat the leftovers which also tasted good days later. Steak sub- he stated it was alright. He’s a bit pickier than I am though, lol. He said it had too much filling I believe such as lettuce and stuff. I’m sure he’d come back but just try something else. Overall, great place. Nice people. Good food. I’d definitely return.

This place was an absolute surprise. Went in looking for a quick bite that was "on the way". The subs were awesome. Fresh made bread, subs were packed full of substance, and it was all delicious. Also, the subs are HUGE. The fries are also some of the best fries I've had, and they held up to the test of being leftovers too, still amazing the next afternoon. The staff here was super friendly, the place was clean and there was a nice comfortable atmosphere. This place has definitely been added to my list of places to go for a special treat.

Do not let this restaurant’s unassuming exterior discourage you; this place has delicious pizza! I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. It was ready in less than 15 minutes. The crust was very firm (almost hard); however, it nicely complimented the slightly runny cheese. The cooks used just the right amount of sauce and olive oil on the pizza. The pepperoni was flavorful, making the pizza slightly spicy. The owners were friendly. The bathrooms, although dimly lit, were immaculately clean. This place might have the best pizza in York County!

Is this place under new management? I came here three weeks ago and the pizza was good. I purchased a Sicilian pizza today and I literally threw it in the trash. The crust had an awful chemical taste and the sauce was terrible. I’m a fair person when rating but this was a waste of money. I had to go to another pizza place to get dinner.

I ordered a gluten free pizza from Vincenzo's Place for the first time while visiting my mother in May. Wow, the pizza was the best I've had and the service was tremendous. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also outstanding. The owners were working and while they were busy, they did not hesitate to speak to me about their work or refreshingly their faith. This will for sure be my favorite place to visit every time I'm in pa and I'm excited to one day take my family there. I highly recommend them and also want to state I loved how they prepared my gluten free selection being careful not to cross contaminate...Thank you!!

Fresh cut fries! Not frozen from a bag like most of every other place in York. Ham boat was great and their bread was homemade. I would give it 6 stars if i could.

Took my family on a day trip and on the way back stopped in York to find food. Let’s just say I’m glad every place we looked at didn’t work out and this one did. I live in Baltimore and I’m highly considering making a monthly trip to this locatIon for Pizza it was that amazing. And I love all the Jesus in that place!

Eagles Nest Restaurant & Event Venue is a prestigious establishment that has been in operation since 1937. It offers an extensive selection of American cuisine and boasts breathtaking panoramic views. The bar serves a wide range of drinks to complement your meal. A recent visitor and their father both enjoyed the filet with crab imperial, which was flawlessly prepared. The meat's superior quality exceeded their expectations compared to other restaurants. Additionally, the desserts were outstandingly delicious.
We selected this restaurant for a ladies' night with friends, and we were definitely not let down. I ordered the BBQ salmon salad entrée, and I loved every single bite. The white peach cosmo I ordered was equally delightful. Our waiter, Tyler, was incredibly attentive and brought a great sense of humor to our table, which made for a fun experience. The atmosphere and service were exceptional—definitely a solid 10/10. I can't wait to return and try the fisherman’s risotto; I tasted a bit from a friend's plate, and it was absolutely delicious!

Our first time out to the Eagles Nest, billed as a York institution. Thumbs up on the signature martini. The food nearly matched and would have made it but for the steaks and seafood coming out warm not hot. Kept them from a 5-star. Will give them another try for sure.

A special local restaurant for us. Delicious food, wonderful presentation, and great service. The owner actually comes around to greet you and see how everything is going and came back to check on us. Servers were busy but attentive (Friday night crowd.) All around quality.

Overall very happy with the food and service. Was a little disappointed in the two tiny shrimp for 17$, and the Prim Rib was not medium rare and luke warm, but otherwise some good food. 👍

Perched on an overlook point with a great view. Rustic decor, with various seating options. Very clean. Food is quite good, with filling portions. Great kitchen. Food served piping hot and stayed warm throughout the whole meal. I enjoyed their sweet potato fries and seasonal vegetables! My friend tried the crab soup which she raved about. Cannot wait to go back.

I have enjoyed every bite of food I’ve ever had here. The menu is expansive, yet everything I’ve had has been perfect; from steaks to seafood to salads. The staff is phenomenal; attentive and friendly, and the owners and chef are hands-on and will often check in to see how your visit is going. All of that is enough to keep me going back, but the icing on the cake is the beautiful views - as a lifelong York resident, I would posit that it’s the best view in town. I was there last evening for a special 4-course dinner/wine tasting event, and I’m pretty sure that meal was among the best I have ever eaten. The entertainment was perfect with Adriano on the piano - he provided the perfect vibe for the evening. I highly recommend checking out Eagles Nest - you will not be disappointed!

We've driven past this restaurant a hundred times and finally decided to stop in for a weekday lunch. It exceeded my expectations and I am sorry we never stopped in earlier! Much more elegant that I had anticipated. Lovely diverse menu, great view, nice atmosphere. The lone waiter there that day was so busy but he was friendly and attentive. Lastly the food was wonderful: I had the grilled Romaine salad and the Reuben sandwich. Hubby had the crab soup and steak dip au jus. All delicious. Looking forward to returning, it's definitely in our rotation now!

Nestled just outside Wrightsville, PA, Samuel S. Lewis State Park is a hidden gem that offers an array of outdoor activities amidst its stunning landscapes. Dominated by the impressive 885-foot Mt. Pisgah, this park provides breathtaking views of the Susquehanna River and surrounding valleys from its scenic overlook. Spanning 85 acres, visitors can explore diverse terrains ranging from grassy fields to wooded areas and pine plantations.
Great views at this lovely park on a hill near the Susquehanna River. Played a nice 9-hole course that was very challenging but fun to hike through the woods. There were lots of deer watching our play-through, I think they wanted to play too. Watched a nice sunset go over the Pennsylvania hills as I drove out of the park.

Such a clean, beautiful park with open space and incredible views. Great little trails throughout the woods, playground, plenty of spots to have a picnic, and a cool boulder pile for kiddos to explore.

This has been one of my two favorite local parks for decades! I have taken senior pictures, prom pictures and hundreds of nature pictures here for years! There are pavilions, play areas, picnic tables, trails to walk (both easy and hard), a baseball diamond an open field to play football, or other sports and my and my kids and grandkids personal favorite- rocks to climb on!!!

Lovely spot to stop with an elevated view of the river, and great picnic benches in the trees for listening to the birds. 15 species of birds observed in 45 minutes, and a cool little American toad. Stop by during the day to enjoy the nature center with all the hand made exhibits and sweet magnifying glass viewers of some resident insects.

Cute little vintage theater! My daughter volunteered to do stage crew and we came to see "A Christmas Story". They have light refreshments out front (candy, crackers, water) Tickets were $30/each. Small parking lot to the side. The cast seems to have great chemistry and enjoys what they're doing!

Singers were talented and funny but profanity was unnecessary. Most offensive was portraying Jesus as gay which was not part of the musical but clearly added by director. Unfortunately, they failed to read their audience… most people did not find that part funny and were not clapping. It was clearly a slap in the face to anyone who believes in Jesus. I have been to multiple plays at Belmont with a group of friends… this is my last one.

We got to see Nemo Jr at the Belmont Theater and oh my goodness. We were blown away by the performance. My toddler sat through the entire musical, dancing, singing, and watching these kids put on one of the best performances I have seen in a long time. A special shout-out to Donovan who played Marlin, the sheer talent he has!! If you were thinking about going, go. Seriously. You won't regret it, it is such a family friendly atmosphere, everyone is so nice, they let you eat snacks in the theater, and just an overall incredible vibe. We will be back to watch many other shows!

I would have given it 5 stars no problem, but the bathroom facilities are not able to serve the crowd of people there attending a show. During intermission, the bathroom line was not possible to stand and wait IF you have a problem. When they called the Intermission , I exited the theater room as quickly as possible without pushing and shoving to make a break for the rest room. Came around the corner and seen the line. I was in the restroom before the show and seen only one stall. So when I can clearly see there’s a line outside of the bathroom I was out of options but to head for the Rutter’s around the corner. Got there, quickly took care of things and went back to the theater to try to catch the end of the program. It was quite the good production I will add (***** Stars for THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG performance that I did get to see). All of that racing to find the doors locked and nobody there to let me in with an explanation. So now, I sit here in my car waiting for the other 5 people I went here with to finish the show. At least there is one less person in line for the bathroom at the end of the night.
Steve K — Google review
It's a nice intimate community theater. I was a visitor from out of town, and saw the thriller Victoria's Room. A good pick for close to Halloween and quality performers. The only negative I have of it is, that the chairs to sit in are too easily movable if you need to lean on them to get to your seat, as they slide on the platform. Otherwise, I had an enjoyable evening.

Park
Penn Park is a versatile venue that offers basketball and tennis courts, a playground, and a seasonal splash park. The park also holds historical significance as it was the site of the former Hannah Penn Junior High. It features three playscapes catering to different abilities and ages, with the largest being over 3 stories tall. Despite some broken climbing structures and inappropriate graffiti, there are plenty of other options for recreation.
Get there early, a lot of teenagers how out frequently so it's difficult to get pristine photos if that's what you're there for.
Howard N — Google review
I loved seeing a lot of members of the community out playing basketball, soccer, and just being outside. However, 3 kids on dirt bikes were biking around, doing wheelies and donuts in the grass. It was dope to see the wheelies but then 4 cop cars showed up and there was a lot of commotion going on. They started talking to everyone playing basketball. It was just weird. Still walked through the park and had a nice time though.

History Museums
The Agricultural & Industrial Museum is a centrally located museum that showcases the manufacturing history of York. The historical collection is diverse and provides an impressive overview of the various industries that were active in the region. The interactive elements of the museum allow for a hands-on experience, including getting inside antique cars and touching artifacts. Although not too big, the museum offers enough diversity to learn about York's heritage, from antique cars to a grist mill.
4.5 stars! The staff was super nice. It was peaceful, clean and quiet. Not crowded at all. The exhibition is well organized, designed, maintained and educational. My 4 yo had so much fun milking the fake cow which kept him busy for a while! I wish they had more interactive stuff for kids to do. Highly recommended!

We had a great 100th Birthday Party at the museum. This is a great venue. We had Yorkers and out-of-town folks attending. It was amazing how many people from York did not even realize that this place existed and wanted to come back again to spend more time with the exhibits.

I came on a Wednesday afternoon and spent around 2 hours inside, I would actually spend more time but the museum closes at 4pm. I believe I was the only visitor :)) the location is quite central and convenient, I came by city bus. I truly enjoyed the place: the historical collection is not too big, but big and diverse enough to learn a lot about York. I especially liked the overview of the variety of industries that were active in York, the diversity is quite impressive. I also enjoyed interactive parts of the museum, where you could touch things, get inside cars, etc. Overall, I can absolutely recommend visiting the place, it is time well-spent.

Wonderful history‘lesson’ ! Self guided so you can spend as much or as little time as you would like. Very informative and fun as well for all ages! Worth the cost of admission for sure! Amazing at how much industry came from York PA!

A lot to see. It is amazing the way they laid out the museum. I'll probably go again some day.

My visit was very interesting. A trip to the past and a recognition of the great contributions that the city of York has made. You need between 2 and 3 hours to be able to appreciate the different exhibitions.

This is an interesting museum, with a somewhat eclectic selection of items, grouped loosely together. The museum itself has quite a striking outside entrance area and although we visited when it was cold and raining, I could see it being an excellent place to hold social functions and gatherings. Inside you'll find what could be considered a transportation section with some classic cars, a small plane, a refurbished trolley car and a work train engine. Next is more of an agricultural/farming area with various implements and equipment, followed by printing, dental and other areas of industry that used to be dominant in the Lancaster/York area. Back upstairs there's a local industry section with many old lathes, drills and other assorted factory equipment, and across the way is the only disappointing part with the "giants of industry" which only has three things in it. Overall worth a stroll around, you can easily spend a couple of hours poking around looking at the wide variety of items on display. Recommended.

Esaan Thai Restaurant is a vibrant BYO spot that truly captures the essence of authentic Thai cuisine. Known for its delightful 5-course set menu, this family-owned gem also offers homemade gelato and sorbet in an array of flavors, making it a standout among local Asian eateries. The head chef, Jai Delp, emphasizes the joy of cooling down your palate with these sweet treats after enjoying their spicy dishes.
Food was amazing. The bang bang Brussels were so delicious I wanted to order more. The peanut noodle stir fry was so flavorful. I had the laab and the spring ills as well as the green papaya salad. Highly recommend this place. It is a small family owned restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in describing the food. It was also very affordable for such fresh food. Everything is only marked if it has gluten, as most Thai food is gluten free. Plenty of delicious options to choose from. Plus you can get Italian gelato by the pint!

Best Thai food ever. Too bad their on a new limited schedule, with limited food choices now. But they used to be Absolutely AMAZING 🤩. Whoever owns it allow their family members to have it open when there to tired too. We all miss Essan's famous food. Hopefully we can go back to the M-F and Great Lunch and Dinner options.

This was my third stop here and as usual I was impressed. The staff is super friendly and very helpful explaining things on the menu. They always make recommendations that are delicious. Everything from my drink all the way up until the entree was great. The flavor of the food is perfect. They ha e different levels of how hot you can get it. If you ask for level 10 you better be prepared to break a little sweat, it is good for the soul. Highly recommend this spot for quality Thai food here in York near the center of the city.

Little Pricey for some items, But never disappointed with the taste and portions Other than the Gelato $4-small that leaves me wanting more even when I know I am too full. Tuesday's I go for the Pad Thai Lunch Special its only $7 and my go to App is definitely the Brussel Sprouts $5. Can't forget about the yummy Thai Tea/Bubble Tea $3. (Not Every Item is on the menu) Small dining area but with the music and large window out-looking the street gives it a serene atmosphere with laid back vibes. Friendly Staff/Service. At times it can be crowded from the limited seating.

This restaurant is amazing. I don’t think I can say enough about how great this place is. The staff are amazing and the food is out of this world. You must try this place for food, craft cocktails, or dessert! Chef Hamir came out several times to check on us. He is extremely friendly, kind, and talented. Each dish is prepared with care and the presentation and flavor are exquisite. We started with coconut shrimp that exceeded our expectations and was prepared like none I have had before. Samosas were cooked to perfection and topped with savory sauces. The red curry ginger with crab was phenomenal! The garlic naan and the biryani rice were the perfect compliment. Save room for Dessert! The butterscotch cake, boozy ice cream, popping boba, and donut holes (I cannot remember the name) were delectable! Our server, Kari was fantastic! The mixologist also visited our table. He is amazing! I ordered “mulling it over” which is a refreshing blend of coconut rum, ginger, lime, with cardamom syrup (made in house)—the perfect blend of sweetness with a hint of spice from ginger. I wish I were in town another day to try another meal! Thank you, Hamir, Kari, and team for a wonderful meal and experience!

Phenomenal dinner. Service & recommendations - top tier, shout to our server, Kari (?) who was very detail oriented & knew her menu. Hamir, the owner & executive chef even came out & talked to our table & recognized some of the guests that we had, highly recommend this place. The food was fantastic & savory, & the desserts were amazing. 10/10

All around amazing! From the service, personal attention from the owner, to all the wonderful and fresh flavors in every dish, you really cannot ask for more and I don’t say that very easily! Just had the perfect date night at Hamir’s! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone — warm, inviting, and just the right mix of relaxed and lively. Our server, Kari, was fantastic — attentive without hovering, and she made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely outstanding. I went for the paneer and asked for it extra spicy (they delivered 🔥 in the best way!), while he had a crab curry that he’s still talking about. Each bite was packed with flavor and felt crafted with real care. The craft cocktails were as creative as they were delicious — the kind of drinks that make you pause mid-sip to appreciate. And it was a nice touch that the owner stopped by to check on us personally, which made the evening feel even more special. Hamir’s is the kind of place where great service, incredible food, and a welcoming environment all come together. We’ll definitely be back!

Hamburger restaurant
Family-friendly chain for burgers on housemade sesame seed buns, plus salads & shakes.
Had lunch here while my car was in getting inspected. The establishment was clean, organized and had fun decor. I was the only one there at 11 am but it soon filled up with what seemed to be happy diners. I ordered the Hamburger with onion ring and a drink. It took about 16 minutes for my pager to go off. I picked up my hamburger and had a variety of choices on how I wanted to garnish it. There was a station with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, salsa, pickles, picadillo and every thing from honey mustard to mayo, barbecue sauce to melted naco cheese. The food was hot, fresh and tasteful. I had a great experience. And the onion rings were peefect. Their menu is burgers, chicken, exotic meat burgers and more...Ypu pick up your burger when you hand held buzzer gors off and you fill and refill your drinks. Great job, clean, friendly good food. Thank you from LA Randar!

It was a good day to be able to be here! I was visiting from out of state where all my local Fuddruckers are all gone. All the staff were very friendly and nice when I walked in. FREE BEER?? Fuddruckers has been a staple for amazing burgers of variety in my life since the early 80's. This specific location is our go-to, and the food is generally awesome! But lately, most definitely due to COVID, the burgers haven't been the same (double patties for a 2/3rd and 1 pound burger?). The "fixing bar", a usually open spot for piling on everything from pico de gallo to onions, tomatoes, and sweet peppers, has been shuttered. You now have to ask for it. Okay, COVID, you get your way with this one. And while indoor dining is open, they do have outdoor seating as well. But you may get a mixed review of staffing working there. Some seem disinterested to help, mainly the folks handing out the food. I can't fault a whole restaurant for this, which is why it really deserves a 4.5 stars, but alas, Google rounds to the nearest. Make sure to visit. And yes, they have FREE BEER!!

Victor's Italian Restaurant is a renowned upscale eatery located in York, Pennsylvania. Housed in a renovated 18th-century church, the restaurant offers an authentic Italian dining experience with a full bar and live music on weekends. Originally opened in 1984 by Harold and Eunice Fitzkee, the restaurant has overcome challenges such as a fire and ownership changes to become a beloved dining spot under the current ownership of Mark and Marie Sindicich.
The only reason I didn’t give 5+ stars was the atmosphere was very loud. The service (our server Manh) was impeccable, the food was hot and delicious! Cannot wait to return! Definitely recommend a reservation.

Our server Manh really made our anniversary dinner special. The dinner was amazing and at the end she brought us a card and complimentary dessert! For being my husband and I’s first time, she really gave an amazing first impression.

Superb, astounding, magnificent. My husband is Italian- he ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and said it was the best he ever had. I have celiac disease so options are often slim for me, but they had the option to make all of their pastas with substitute gluten free penne or zucchini noodles- so I had many choices. I ordered the bolognese with gluten free penne- it was incredible. They even had gluten free bread and dessert options. We went for our 2 year wedding anniversary so they gave us free dessert, which was so sweet. I got Victor’s Affogato (it was amazing) and my husband got the Tiramisu. My lovely lovely friend Addie was our server, she’s the bomb.com. We highly recommend this place- they made our anniversary extra special.

Where do I begin? I suggested that my friends and I go to Victor’s for my birthday dinner because I had never been. Astonishingly good food, unique dishes and cocktails you don’t find anywhere else, nice outdoor ambience, and delightful service. Manh was friendly, knew everything about the food on the menu, got to know us by name, and checked our table at just the right times to make sure we were all set. She even brought me a birthday card signed by the staff, an especially nice touch. Totally above and beyond any dining experience I’ve had in a long time, if ever.

Our first time visiting this establishment and we could not have been more impressed! The service was welcoming and excellent. The small plates were not very small and were absolutely delicious! The chef clearly knows how to make dishes taste savory. The beer and wine selection is top notch and our waiter was well educated. There is a piano in the main dining area, though it was not being played during our visit, the vibe of the restaurant conveys it would be an amazing piano bar experience. Oh, did I mention the food was fantastic? There is a bar and lounge upstairs that offers a small and relaxing getaway from the main area on the first floor. Will go back often!

My friends and I went here at 8:30pm on Friday night for drinks. The restaurant is open until midnight. The restaurant was half-empty, but the bar was full, so we wanted to sit on the patio. Instead, we stood at the host station for 15 minutes without being acknowledged. Servers ran around, bartenders stood behind the bar. We walked around multiple times to show we were there, and people saw us- but no one bothered to speak to us ore even make eye contact. Finally I stopped a server myself and asked if anyone was seating. He was clearly annoyed and said someone would be with us. Finally, another server came from the back and took us to the patio. Was it really that hard?? The restaurant was nearly empty!! Two stars because the drinks were decent, but staff was incredibly rude.
Sarah G — Google review
Only the second time here but both times there’s problems with the food. The folks next to me sent their chicken wings back for being too dry. Both times for me it took quite a bit for not being busy just for the food to be cold and mediocre. Great atmosphere and staff but with so many options within a block radius I doubt I’ll be back for a third attempt
Travis S — Google review
Our first, and only, experience with The Handsome Cab was unfortunately a poor one. While our server was top notch and attentive, we waited almost a full 45 minutes for our meals. We started with a small plate appetizer which was delicious, but the experience bottomed out from there. After a long wait for our main course food, when it arrived the Chicken Sandwich was far too overcooked, burnt brown and dry as hay... and the "smash burger" was two little burnt hockey puck sized burgers that were passed, not smashed. To exasperate the situation, the manager then had the nerve to argue with my date and I about the meals. The only positive from our experience was the comped appetizer, as we were certainly not waiting an additional 45 minutes for new food, nor were we paying for two poorly made meals with knock off Checker's fries.

The York County History Center is a museum and archive that offers interactive exhibitions showcasing the history of York County. Despite its small size, it boasts a noteworthy collection of artifacts that represent the area's cultural heritage. The museum also considers visitors with limited mobility by providing ample seating and an elevator to access all floors. However, patrons looking for an extensive gift shop may be disappointed as it is rather small with limited options.
I grew up in York and brought my west coast husband here for a journey into history. Out guide, John, was personable and witty. The relics, displays, and stories were amazing. I recommend spending an hour or so browsing the exhibits and take the guided tour! We didn't time it correctly, but they do ghost tours in October as well.

I went during the St. Paddy’s weekend events so I got in for free from 3-5. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restrooms are clean. The interactive sections make the experience even more fun. I love the emphasis on local history and the people who made this city what it is. I also love that Black community members are visually documented speaking about their experiences and having their voices heard. This was a beautiful place and would go again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The York County History Center is an absolute gem—a strategic deep-dive into the heartbeat of early American industry, revolution, and community resilience. From the moment you step inside, you’re immersed in expertly curated exhibits that don’t just display history—they negotiate with it. The Revolutionary War gallery is a masterclass in interpretive storytelling, and the Harley-Davidson legacy section hits with both horsepower and heritage. Staff are not just friendly—they’re subject matter experts who operate like historical consultants, not tour guides. I asked a question about the Articles of Confederation, and the docent didn’t just answer—he gave a comparative analysis with primary source context. That’s operational excellence. This is not just a museum—it’s a knowledge partner. Perfect for business leaders seeking team-building rooted in legacy, educators sourcing authentic content, or families looking for meaningful civic engagement. Five golden stars for a center that manages to blend artifact stewardship with bold community vision. York County has done something truly scalable here.

Free admission day was fun. Tons of York manufacturing history, underground railroad, old farm equipment and factory machines. I really love the old car and the 2 story high Ice machine!! Touch screen video displays, flip cards and clear easy to read signage. We saw children enjoying the displays. My favorites are the black steam engine and the real Conestoga wagon.

Nice place, i found out many interesting facts about York county and United Stated told by our guide, like HarleyDavidson company founded here or there was general Gates who tried to overthrow George Washington. The Golden plough tavern impressed me most, seemed like last few 18th century guests left it few days ago. I recommend this place for educational and entertaining purposes.

This museum is small but definitely worth seeing. They have a good display of artifacts representing the area. There were a good number of places to sit as you navigate the museum. I have very limited mobility and it is important that museums consider that in their layout. They have an elevator to get to each floor. One area that I was disappointed was with the gift shop. It was very small and had little variety. One thing to keep in mind is that they still require you to wear a mask when visiting.

It was a fantastic meal. Service was past excellent. Food was delish. It’s been years since we came here after a subpar experience, but this dinner was awesome. Kathy was probably the best I’ve seen in a very long time anywhere, she was attentive and friendly, showed up at the perfect time, not overly attentive, but right there when you need a refill and when the food shows up to check in, not when you have a mouthful like some. Literally the best service I’ve experienced in a long time and I eat out daily. We will probably become regulars if this great experience is consistent. Thank You!

I hate to leave this review but I'm going to be honest. This Calabrian Shrimp Pasta was TERRIBLE. It literally taste like cardboard. The pesto was only pine nuts, or seemed to be. I've never had a pesto so nutty. The shrimp was just a tab bit over cooked but it was fresh. Ordered through UberEats.

Nestled in the heart of downtown York, the White Rose Bar & Grill has been a beloved dining destination for over 85 years. Originally opened as The Beaver Inn in 1933 by the grandparents of current owner Tom Sibol, this charming wood-paneled bistro offers a diverse menu that tantalizes taste buds with options ranging from seafood paella to a mouthwatering prime-rib French dip. Guests can also indulge in their impressive jumbo cocktails, including their famous fishbowls during Happy Hour.
We sat in the covered patio area, such a nice break from the heat. The food was simply amazing! The appetizers were big enough for a whole meal or a great split between the table, although they are so good you may not want to share. Price was very reasonable, in fact I thought we got more than our moneys worth. Great place highly recommend!

The restaurant is in a great location, in a very beautiful building, but the food and service are at the lowest level. If you are asked how well the meat is done, you don't have to answer, you will still get a dried out piece of mince. Cold spaghetti, which looks like it was cooked yesterday, can't be commented on. Luckily, I didn't get to try all the drinks from the bar, but the one I ordered was terrible, I can't find any other words. The final disappointment was when the employee decided to open the dirty curtain covering the veranda, right at our table, at the moment when our food was brought. This will be the last place I decide to go to again.

Ok so I just want to ask…. Why change a good thing? This was the place for us to come to enjoy an AMAZING hot crab dip bread bowl. The Whote Rose took it off of the menu!!! Replaced an amazing item to a small bowl of crab dip with hard tortilla chips. Not a good idea. So sad.

I’m not from the area but have been here a handful of times. The food is always amazing. The espresso martinis were so good and our server was phenomenal. Wish I could remember her name, but we showed up for the last 30 min of happy hour and she let us know so we were able to get 2 rounds of drinks and a appetizer at half price. 🙌🏼

The restaurant is easy to find with street parking available. They were busy but not packed on a Sunday night. The bar below us was REALLY noisy with drinkers, which is the only reason I lowered the stars for “atmosphere.” Stevie was a great server and friendly. He was attentive to our needs without being interruptive. We ordered the surf & turf hot stone which was fun. The food was tasty and we enjoyed the uniqueness of cooking our food at the table. It was simple and we enjoyed this menu option. Restrooms were clean and soap worked, with hot water-bonus! Many restaurants don’t have either! There are several locations (rooms) to select for your reservation. Ours was big and open, which we liked. I recommend White Rose, ask for Stevie’s section.

Went to WhiteRose on a Sunday night to celebrate a wedding anniversary. There was a party going on, so our food took longer to come out, but WOW, was it worth it! We ordered a New York Strip, french onion soup, and The Optimus Prime Burger. Everything was cooked to perfection. However, The Optimus Prime burger was definitely the star of our meal as it's an actual burger with prime rib slices on top! Our waitress totally made our night! She was so sweet, personable, and professional! Her Old Fashioneds are amazing! Turns out she's competed in several bartending competitions! Her skills are evident in her cocktails. If you don't want to be disappointed, ask to be seated in Liv's (short for Olivia) section! The bar area might feel a little chilly if the patio doors are opened. If you plan on sitting here, be sure to bring a light jacket! Parking is not free; metered street parking is available, and there's also a gated lot behind the restaurant with $2 per hour parking.

I've tried to like this place, but this is the last time I'll go there. I ordered the grilled caesar salad, which tastes pretty good, but tonight they gave me about 5 pieces of romaine (for $14). The entree was so small it was comical. When I brought it to the server's attention, she made no attempt to make it right, just said if I order another one it will still be that small. I don't need to pay for parking to eat here, will go somewhere else.

Buffalo chicken dip and American burgers were phenomenal. Hard to believe I lived in this area for over 20 years and never made it here before today. We will be back!
