Seafood restaurant
Rockfish Public House is an industrial-chic tavern located in the heart of York, PA, offering a unique twist on the traditional oyster bar experience. The restaurant prides itself on serving the freshest seafood, including grouper and shrimp, as well as a variety of craft beers. With its upscale ambience and extensive menu featuring dishes like shrimps and scallops, Rockfish Public House has become a popular choice for special occasions like Valentine's Day dinners.
Upscale restaurant with great menu! I’ve eaten here a dozen times and it never disappoints. Make sure to try the smash burger topped with crab. Amazing! Get there before six and enjoy half off oysters and some great drink specials.
Stephen T — Google review
Beautiful restaurant but the food was super disappointing. While it is reasonably priced the food lacked flavor and was skimpy on the oyster meat for the sandwich. The Nashville hot chicken was not spicy at all and was just some chicken tenders with some sauce.
Sarah D — Google review
Dinner on a Tuesday night around 5:30 pm. Plenty of seating. Service was excellent service and food was delicious! Fried calamari for appetizer and we got the colossal crab with lobster tail, coconut rice with kale and tomatoes. Cobb salad with an add-on or lobster tail. Will definitely come back.

Visiting downtown York and we came across this gem. The atmosphere was a really chill vibe. Great for couple, friends hang out , solo or family. We only had apps however the food was really good. The waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and has a great personality. Oh! I loved the York peppermint patties in place of the normal after dinner peppermint. We were staying at a nearby hotel and walked however parking is street.
Shirlonda S — Google review
Very nice restaurants outside seating was the best. Came here to celebrate my birthday and I loved everything about it. I believe my waiters name was Kasey “I hope that was right” She made me feel warm and welcomed on my birthday. Rockfish was celebrating a birthday as well and they had a lot of drink specials. I order ship for my appetizers and the rockfish and it was really good.
Savon P — Google review
I hate to leave this review but I'm going to be honest. This Calabrian Shrimp Pasta was TERRIBLE. It literally taste like cardboard. The pesto was only pine nuts, or seemed to be. I've never had a pesto so nutty. The shrimp was just a tab bit over cooked but it was fresh. Ordered through UberEats.
Tracy — Google review
Really good food, I had the BEST ever rockfish taco and my daughter had good crabcake and dessert were yum!! Clam chowder were heavenly!!! Def will come back to try other food 😋😋
Becky B — Google review
If you’re looking for a restaurant with beautiful décor right in the heart of York — congratulations, you’ve found it. Rockfish Public House looks amazing. Unfortunately, the only thing that rocks here is your stomach… right after you try the food. I ordered the scallops, expecting something fresh from the ocean. What I got instead smelled like they’d been lost at sea for a few weeks. The moment the plate hit the table, the stench hit me harder than a wave in a hurricane. There’s “seafood aroma,” and then there’s “call a doctor immediately” — this was the latter. It’s honestly impressive that these scallops made it out of the kitchen. I can only assume the chef had a cold and couldn’t smell them. Had I actually eaten them, I’d probably still be spending quality time with the restroom. In short: beautiful place, shame about the biohazard on the plate. Visit if you want décor — avoid if you value your digestive system.

Italian restaurant
Tutoni's Restaurant is a contemporary farm-to-table eatery in York, offering a cozy neighborhood atmosphere and a menu featuring rustic Italian cuisine. The restaurant has gained a reputation as one of the best dining spots in the area, with consistent quality and delicious traditional Italian dishes. In addition to their well-loved entrees, Tutoni's also offers creative desserts and an extensive wine list.
This place is awesome. I visited for the first time before a YSO concert, and had an amazing time. I believe it will be my new favorite restaurant in York. It’s a truly fine dining experience. The service is fantastic, but the food is even better. My wife is still talking about the duck ravioli she had. I appreciated that they had some specialty Whiskey options like Stagg, Old Forester Birthday, Russell 13yr, etc.
Ben B — Google review
Overall a great evening of food and service. We went with the 5 course chef selection and wine pairing. Gazpacho and swordfish were well done but the kitchen fell short on the lollipop veal chops. Grossly undercooked. The pasta with chorizo and chicken was fantastic and the desert was quite the treat overall a good experience.
Lew I — Google review
I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while now! I went to visit family in Harrisburg for Father’s Day, and we decided to try Tutoni’s in York! It was beyond perfect, from beginning to end! We sat upstairs, which was such a beautiful space, and our waitress/bartender (I think her name was Ashley) was absolutely amazing! She suggested the best drinks, everything she recommended was delicious! My younger sister has autism, (so she’s super particular with taste and texture) and Ashley made a special sangria for her that she ended up loving, so her kindness and patience was truly appreciated! The food was beyond delicious, I could drink the sauce of the braised beef gnocchi like juice it’s that dang good! And of course, the espresso martinis and dessert, are absolutely superb! I highly recommend Tutoni’s for their stellar service, and phenomenal food!
Nicole C — Google review
Came here for our 6th wedding anniversary. The night started out on a high note with complimentary glasses of wine for our anniversary and a friendly server. The quail appetizer was very good and both pasta entrees were delicious. The entree portions were very filling but not overly large. Dessert and drinks were also great along with the French-press coffee. The perfect cherry on top was an anniversary card at the end. Great spot for a nice dinner, highly recommend.
Brandon D — Google review
Relaxing and romantic setting. Food was fabulous. We got the Bucatini and Meatballs and Nine Pines Chicken Breast. Both were fantastic. Drinks were good as well. They were also very great for our anniversary. Service was 5/5. Definitely recommend!
Nathan F — Google review
Beautiful place downtown York. Excellent Italian dishes and cocktails. If you are upstairs or in the King George Speak Easy make sure to get a cocktail from Ashley. She is an incredible mixologist and provides great service. Have never had a sub par experience hear and will continue to come back!

Amazing chef's special! I did not know what to expect here as it was a surprise visit, but I was very delighted by the whole experience. The courses were unique, sensibly structured, and very tasty. Definitely worth coming back when they rotate the menu!
Sasha V — Google review
I was invited by a vendor to have dinner at Tutoni’s Restaurant in downtown York. I was looking forward to it as I have not found very many restaurants that have lived up to their ratings. While the menu was impressive this one did not meet expectations either. Upon entering restaurant was dimly lit and where we sat seemed very tight quarters. Restaurant was quiet and server was attentive to our needs of course we are the only ones they are so what else would they have done? As a guest, I was treated to multiple appetizers and first time having a charcuterie board. Not sure what the big deal is about this meat and cheese tray, I just give me a slice of Colby jack or pepper jack and I’ll be fine. I did try the fried zucchini but not really a big fan. I had the rainbow trout with mushrooms and quinoa. Not too bad and the portion size was good as a dinner item. Others in the dinner party expressed that their dinner was not as good as they expected. Spaghetti and meatballs another had a pasta dinner that they only ate half of it. I’m starting to see a common theme in York as it relates to restaurants and their ratings. Doesn’t seem like too many people have gotten out of town and experienced a true 4.6 or higher rated restaurant. Got a cheesecake dessert to go. Topping was some type of a blackberry jelly. Who puts jelly on cheesecake especially a fruit with seeds that just stop you in mid-tracks to spit out. Once and done for me on this one .

Such a fun place to come for a meal! The vibe of this place is great! My daughters loved the jukebox. The fun thing was it seemed that everyone was just enjoying what was being played. The food was fantastic!!! I had the root scramble Skillet and it was filling and warmed me up. My daughters ordered a couple of their specialty coffee cold and I think they would have preferred that they ordered them hot. Overall come here and enjoy amazing brunch or pizza!

The service was horrible. Our waiter came to the table and squat down next to us while taking our order. she forgot to bring us our drinks and not only that she forgot to bring us lemons when we asked for lemons with our water three times on the third time we asked someone else if they could bring us lemons and they told us that they weren’t our waiter and walked away when our waiter came back out she brought our food and appetizers all at the same time usually at all the restaurants I go to appetizers are brought out first and then the main course is that something new?! and still forgot our lemons once the food came out! once the lemons came out we weren’t able to put the lemons in our water because they weren’t cut to squeeze! I would also like to say how One of our guests found hair in their food and our hush puppies were burnt. I also would like to say how unprofessional the staff dress and acted when all of this was said and done we went to the hostess at the front to ask for our check and to speak with a manager and she told us that she was the manager and we had complaints about her and our waiter. She then proceeds to say that she’s going to get someone for us to talk to. she went and got the real manager and lied to us about her being the manager. the real manager was very nice and under standing. so disappointed!!!😡

First time here. It's a great little spot in downtown York. Inside and outside seating. We chose inside on this day. Very friendly and comfy atmosphere. We started with flavored lattes. They were amazing and a big cup, too! I had the roost side salad, which was amazing, and 6 old bay wings. Absolutely delicious. Hubby had the El chapo tacos with a hashbrown and said they were good and did not spare any filling/toppings! Great spot. We will definitely be back!! There's nothing negative to say!
Millie F — Google review
Great spot for breakfast. Friendly service, delicious food and very mod looking. Loved it. Had the skillet, it was filling, and delicious. Look forward to eating at Roost every time I visit York.

Had brunch and lunch all in one with an orange, pineapple crush. The food was top tier, all the flavors popped off the plate. The wings are smoked and so crispy. My new favorite spot downtown York. Don't skip out. Great service and ambiance, sit outside when it's nice.

Visited at 10am on a Sunday and it was the perfect brunch breakfast! Parked at garage next to White Rose and walked 2 minutes.
Julie S — Google review
An alternative breakfast place in York that is reasonably priced for the area. I had the “Closed on Sundays” Benedict with veggie roast. My wife had the All in breakfast. The restaurant is split between breakfast on the left and a pizza place on the right. Food The food was an adequate portion for breakfast and we left satisfied and not overfull. The vegetables hash was not terrible as I thought I was be. The fried chicken was a little salty but still great flavor combination overall. My wife felt the bacon was better than the average place as was the eggs. The hash browns are average, not bad. The French toast was the star of the show. Overall review The menu selection is diverse enough that you can make to your general preferences, the wait staff were kind, seating was spread out, and I’d say parking might be the only challenge unless you park at a garage. I would come back.
Alan N — Google review
Thank you ROOST for the delicious brunch. Slab bacon and fried green tomatoes were so tasty! Service was wonderful. I had the french toast with berries and granola. Portion was huge but more importantly it was delicious. Didn't love the cafeteria style tables in the back but we were a huge party so that's what they had the space for.

The Left Bank Restaurant & Bar is an upscale eatery located in York's downtown, offering a warm and modern interior along with internationally inspired cuisine and cocktails. One of its signature drinks is the perfectly-mixed Dark & Stormy cocktail, featuring light rum, ginger beer, simple syrup, fresh lemon, and a Gosling rum float. This award-winning destination has been part of the city's foodie scene for decades and offers a fine dining experience with a selection of international fare.
If you haven’t tried this restaurant yet, you are missing out..great food, exquisite service..their filet is to die for- served with mashed potatoes perfectly seasoned with rosemary and tarragon. So delicate that it lifted the flavor of the potatoes to just melt in your mouth with a flowery, savory, buttery song. Our wait person suggested a beautiful peppery red that was so delicious and complement ed the steak to perfection..My husband ordered the seafood risotto. It was beautiful, buttery and just delightful- he had to get a to-go box…very healthy portions! DO NOT skip dessert..;) Definitely good to put on your list-stop by for dinner..you wont be sorry!

Lovely dining experience in downtown York. Exceptional food and drink. We went all out with apps and entrees, and Left Bank did not disappoint. They could do better with their coffee but we are admittedly coffee snobs. :) Overall, highly recommend for sophisticated pallets.

My husband and I went for date night and we just loved everything aboit the place. But most of all the food was AMAZING! definetely worth the price. I've eaten at places before with a high price point where the food didn't justify the prices. But this place is definetely worth it. I'm also a great cook, so it's hard for me to eat out and enjoy the food or at least make me feel like it's worth it, cause I usually go "eh, I can make that". And when I eat out I want my taste buds to feel like I can't replicate this taste. Oh and our waitress was great!
Paule N — Google review
This has always been one of our favorite places! Food, service and atmosphere were spot on! A must try is there banana pepper flash fried calamari and grilled caesar salad… Amazing!
Amy A — Google review
Had a beautiful night here. My husband and I just married a week ago and I called in to see if we could have a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us at our table as a surprise. All staff were very courteous, congratulating us on our wedding, asking details. Our waitress poured the Prosecco throughout the night, coming back frequently to top us off. Another waitstaff member would do the same for our waters, we didn't have to lift a finger! We started off with their calamari in a banana pepper parmesan cream sauce which was absolutely perfect. Definitely get this if you go. Next we moved onto Caesar salads which I only wish was made with more greens or leafier romaine rather than chopped romaine hearts, but I chalk that up to personal preference. I had the roasted whole quail with sausage stuffing. Paired it with a Tuscan blend red and all of it went so well together. My husband had their special, crab-topped flounder. Our waitress helped him pair it with a white that complimented it fairly well. We ended the night with a delicious creme brulee and an espresso. We were there for roughly three hours, but never once felt rushed. It was a great special dinner and the next time we want to celebrate or treat ourselves we'll definitely come back here!
Maggie M — Google review
The experience there was top tier. We went there for crabcakes but they were sold out, so was the lamb. But we made it work. Greta was really sweet. And the setting was very relaxing. And the drinks, oh yeah on point. I had the grilled octopus for an appetizer and I wish I took pictures of the dish because it was absolutely beautiful & tasted great as well! I got the shrimp & scallops with a side of foie something can't remember the name. The husband got the local steak & we have the local ice cream with a waffle. Like I said everything was great! We WILL be going back.
Kerin F — Google review
The food was amazing and the service was on point. I loved the charming and retro styled decor. I cracked open a book from one of the shelves and it was dated 1909! The window seat is surprisingly airtight and not drafty. I got the grilled Caesar which was awesome. I also had the salmon, which was a nice dish, not too heavy on the stomach but definitely filling. My boyfriend got the quail, which was so flavorful. This is by far one of the best spots in york, if not the top spot.
Christine B — Google review
The left bank BEST cocktail drink. I love the Hostess Mr. Scott who works hard and it’s very friendly. New owners for the past year or two I wish them success.

Victor's Italian Restaurant is a renowned upscale eatery located in York, Pennsylvania. Housed in a renovated 18th-century church, the restaurant offers an authentic Italian dining experience with a full bar and live music on weekends. Originally opened in 1984 by Harold and Eunice Fitzkee, the restaurant has overcome challenges such as a fire and ownership changes to become a beloved dining spot under the current ownership of Mark and Marie Sindicich.
The only reason I didn’t give 5+ stars was the atmosphere was very loud. The service (our server Manh) was impeccable, the food was hot and delicious! Cannot wait to return! Definitely recommend a reservation.

Drinks fantastic. Apps meh... Dinner meh. Definitely not what I thought it would be. Service was fantastic, the best. Atmosphere fantastic. The food was a disappointment. Don't have photos of everything sorry was enjoying the company.... But what do i know. The parking lot was full 👍
Grady W — Google review
Our server Manh really made our anniversary dinner special. The dinner was amazing and at the end she brought us a card and complimentary dessert! For being my husband and I’s first time, she really gave an amazing first impression.
Lauren — Google review
Superb, astounding, magnificent. My husband is Italian- he ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and said it was the best he ever had. I have celiac disease so options are often slim for me, but they had the option to make all of their pastas with substitute gluten free penne or zucchini noodles- so I had many choices. I ordered the bolognese with gluten free penne- it was incredible. They even had gluten free bread and dessert options. We went for our 2 year wedding anniversary so they gave us free dessert, which was so sweet. I got Victor’s Affogato (it was amazing) and my husband got the Tiramisu. My lovely lovely friend Addie was our server, she’s the bomb.com. We highly recommend this place- they made our anniversary extra special.

Victor’s is always a phenomenal dining experience. The menu may change but the high quality service and food never do. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious Italian meal and relaxing atmosphere. I do recommend making a reservation, regardless of the night you go just to be safe. They’re busy for a reason!

Everything was outstanding. I loved every food I tried. It is a little bit pricey though. Service is very good too. I recommend it.

Where do I begin? I suggested that my friends and I go to Victor’s for my birthday dinner because I had never been. Astonishingly good food, unique dishes and cocktails you don’t find anywhere else, nice outdoor ambience, and delightful service. Manh was friendly, knew everything about the food on the menu, got to know us by name, and checked our table at just the right times to make sure we were all set. She even brought me a birthday card signed by the staff, an especially nice touch. Totally above and beyond any dining experience I’ve had in a long time, if ever.

The Fig & Barrel Pub is a trendy New American restaurant located less than half a mile away from the Agricultural and Industrial Museum in York, PA. The pub offers a swanky setting and has gained popularity for its delicious food and wonderful service. Visitors can enjoy a wide selection of craft brews at this establishment, making it an ideal spot to indulge in some local flavors.
Went here today for our anniversary brunch from a recommendation of a friend. It surely did not disappoint! From the time we entered the restaurant to the time we left, we were treated amazingly. Our server Brittany was phenomenal! She knew it was our anniversary and, without hesitation, when asked to take our picture, set us up with photo props in front of the fireplace. We had a nice chat with her, and she even brought us out dessert with a candle to celebrate. Oh, and let's not forget the $1 mimosas!! Our food was amazing! Hubby ordered steak and eggs, and I ordered the orange infused french toast, and both dishes were delightful. We made reservations, which I suggest, although they are not mandatory. There was a nice crowd for Sunday afternoon. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you!

Have been here a few times for drinks at the bar. First time dining and it was great. The service was spectacular. We had the mac & cheese and pierogi appetizers. They were both great. For entree we got the fried chicken breast and salmon. Both were good.

If you like whiskey, you will love it here. 300 types of whiskey from all over the world. I did not have any whisky though. I had the Dijon pork tenderloin. It was amazing! We met up with friends that we have not seen in 20 years. We sat and talked for a very long time. The staff were incredibly friendly and did not rush us out the door. Great place to hang out, eat, and drink.

This is a lovely brewery-style restaurant that serves breakfast lunch and dinner. I had invited others and they recommended this location. The parking appeared a little sketchy as it was closer to downtown York. There were many individuals present and it was busy at 1 p.m., with people moseying around the area; however, it seemed safer the more we walked. We did need reservations that had been made. There was no need to wait as our party had already arrived. Our waitstaff was painstakingly patient with us and had an incredible attitude. The food was great and was aesthetically attractive in its presentation. We spent approximately four hours, and I truly enjoyed everything that they served, the restrooms were sanitary, and our waitstaff was fabulous. One individual at our party had mimosas, and they presented four different glasses on a wooden board - lovely presentation! I would highly recommend Fig and Barrel, and I look forward to seeing them again.

Came in for lunch on a hot Saturday. The service was excellent; our server had great suggestions on drinks and lunch options. We appreciated the details added on the Gluten-Free menu, and how many options there were. We decided on the Rum Punch (best I've ever had) and Watermelon Mojito, plus an omelet for my husband and the Mediterranean Frittata for me. The flavors were great, and portion sizes were very generous, especially given the reasonable prices. The only drawbacks were that the potatoes served with the omelet were a little overcooked, and we thought it was an interesting choice to use sliced link sausage as a filling in the omelet (we were expecting ground). Not bad, just unexpected. But it was a very satisfying experience and we look forward to a return trip when in town.

We had a great Tuesday night date night here! The poutine tots were incredible. Our drinks were the best cocktails we’ve had out (we’ve tried a lot of cockatils)! Great place for espresso martinis and fun old fashioned flavors. Highly recommend the Pear & Gorgonzola salad with chicken & the Chorizo Risotto. I hope the Salted Lavender Mocha Espresso Martini stays on their menu forever!! Super cozy place! We will be back!!

Went to Fig & Barrel last night, first time for dinner. It was excellent. I want to go back over and over again to try everything on the menu. The staff was incredibly attentive and ensured we had what we needed in order to make the 7:30 show at the Appell Center. The cocktails were fantastic, the pizzas to die for, the atmosphere was lively and beautiful. I highly recommend F&B for lunch or dinner!

Had 4 appetizers. Best to worse. The Genera Tso cauliflower was amazing. The lobster sticks were very good. The devil eggs were ok and the wings were average. The cauliflower salad was very good and the large is shareable. Loved the atmosphere and the service was very fast on a Friday. Will return and try more food

Cute little spot, looks like a small-town fancy restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the chefs menu inspiration was unique enough to stand out. The wild moose was of course a fun novelty, paired with pickled beets and mustard seeds. The potato bravas were incredible, just the right amount of pungent accoutrements to spice up an otherwise one dimensional dish. The lobster fingers were hot and crispy, the batter was not thick, almost tempura texture. The burger had a great char, and the foei Gras mayo was very strong, they didn't skimp on the expensive ingredients. The donut holes were clearly fresh from the feyer and every one of the dipping sauces were uniquely delicious. Excellent beer selection including a Tripel. The cocktails were strong and still balanced. Brenna was attentive despite it being busy. Service was top notch.

PERFECT SMALL WEDDING RECEPTION VENUE! We had our wedding reception at Revival in July 2023 and I literally cannot say enough good things about them. I'm actually scared to write this review because I know I'm going to leave out something amazing they did. But I'll start with the basics -- we had 43 guests for a Friday afternoon reception at 12pm-4pm, which at the time that we booked the event was prior to Revival opening to the public at 4pm (I think their hours have now changed). Nancy Guido was our event coordinator and she was simply and impossibly incredible. Although we heard we were their first wedding reception, they've hosted many private events before and Nancy was on top of every little detail and was an absolute delight to communicate with throughout the whole 12 months that we spent planning with her. You know how some folks are so diligently communicative that you just have immediate trust in their work? That is Nancy. It helped us sleep at night when planning this event. Revival has a dining room side and a bar side and Nancy had the idea of removing some dining tables after the meal to make room for dancing, which worked out fabulously. The atmosphere is wonderful for a wedding; because Revival is already a vibe, we needed no centerpieces or other decorations, only table numbers and a couple bridesmaids' bouquets from the ceremony. It was a challenge to find a venue of the right size -- most standard "wedding" venues are for 200+ people, but Revival was just right. The layout is cozy for 43 guests in the dining room but in the best way since it gives an intimate and convivial feel to the occasion, which is exactly what we wanted. People then spread out to the bar side as well after the meal because of removing tables for dancing. Throughout the reception, Nancy herself as well as waitstaff kept checking in with us to make sure the bride & groom were well-fed and always had drinks in hand. I am also vegan and can attest that the chef's vegan options were TOP NOTCH -- I still dream about that eggplant meatloaf encrusted with crispy black beans and perfectly seasoned. All the guests raved about the beef and chicken options as well, and the portions were generous. No one was going hungry at this wedding. We had a full open bar as well, and of course Revival is also known for their cocktails, but guests who don't drink also went out of their way to say how they appreciated the quality & selection of mocktails. OH and the dessert table after dinner was so gorgeous -- all this décor and aesthetic arrangement of it that you see in the photos was all Revival, I had nothing to do with that. This is what I'm saying -- above & beyond in every way. Being in downtown York, Revival was also very close to other spots for bar hopping afterward as well as our hotel (Yorktowne). We had our ceremony elsewhere, but Revival also has an upstairs space that I think could totally work for a ceremony (just ask Nancy!). Last but not least, the pricing for this event was completely reasonable we thought, especially considering all the months of planning that went into it and level of service on the day-of. We just could not be happier with Revival as our reception venue and would recommend it to any couple looking for a small venue with amazing food, wonderful staff, an excellent vibe, and prime location. Thank you thank you thank you to Nancy & all the Revival staff for making our day so fabulous. PHOTO CREDIT goes to RICHARD & TARA PHOTOGRAPHY (Dallastown, PA)

Decided to give this York City spot a try and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. I apologize for the lighting of the photographs, but the food is fabulous. The customer service was stellar and everyone was very friendly. One recommendation I would make is that you should make a reservation.

The atmosphere was great and the server was very nice. Unfortunately the food was not very good. The pork belly tacos where over seasoned and very spicy. The wings where so dry that one was inedible, it was practically just bones, also received blue cheese instead of the ranch I ordered. The pommes aligot, was good. We had also ordered the butchers cut which was a NY strip. Ordered it medium but received it very rare. Overall, I wish the food had tasted better since I loved the atmosphere so much. At the least it is worth a stop for drinks.

First time downtown York in long time. Sat outside on a Saturday around 4. No wait. They also had seating in the square, but didn't know until we were seated. First time here. Service was excellent!!!! Food and drinks were great and prices reasonable. We didn't do anything fancy as far a food goes, but they had a great menu. Lots of No complaints. I'd recommend.

The Handsome Cab is a trendy addition to York, offering a vibrant urban-chic experience with its blend of food, drinks, music, and local art. The menu features an array of New American plates such as cheeses, skewers, flatbreads, and delectable bites like Argentinean turkey meatballs with chimichurri. With an extensive selection of well-researched and affordable wines by the bottle or glass, it's a great spot for wine enthusiasts.
Our first time visiting this establishment and we could not have been more impressed! The service was welcoming and excellent. The small plates were not very small and were absolutely delicious! The chef clearly knows how to make dishes taste savory. The beer and wine selection is top notch and our waiter was well educated. There is a piano in the main dining area, though it was not being played during our visit, the vibe of the restaurant conveys it would be an amazing piano bar experience. Oh, did I mention the food was fantastic? There is a bar and lounge upstairs that offers a small and relaxing getaway from the main area on the first floor. Will go back often!

Very satisfied with our food and the ambience. With the coconut curry chicken I ordered I can say that it's the first time in a long while that I've tasted something uniquely new. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the drink and food selections and was very professional. Would definitely return. Loved the cloth towels in the bathrooms.

I don’t know where to start. We went here today for my boyfriend’s birthday. Everyone was so kind and made us feel extremely special. Phil our waiter is amazing 10 out of 10. Highly recommend. If you get Phil, you are lucky he is incredible. The owner was so sweet, Robert, And I’m just so incredibly thankful that we went there. We will be back!!!!!

100% worth the drive! The food is amazing, a wine list that goes on and on, the atmosphere is perfect and the service was top notch! We had an incredible meal and were able to support local artists while we waited for our food, while enjoying a fabulous bottle of wine. I will definitely return. This was not just dinner out, it was an experience. Love!

My friends and I went here at 8:30pm on Friday night for drinks. The restaurant is open until midnight. The restaurant was half-empty, but the bar was full, so we wanted to sit on the patio. Instead, we stood at the host station for 15 minutes without being acknowledged. Servers ran around, bartenders stood behind the bar. We walked around multiple times to show we were there, and people saw us- but no one bothered to speak to us ore even make eye contact. Finally I stopped a server myself and asked if anyone was seating. He was clearly annoyed and said someone would be with us. Finally, another server came from the back and took us to the patio. Was it really that hard?? The restaurant was nearly empty!! Two stars because the drinks were decent, but staff was incredibly rude.

First off I want to start off my saying that I frequent this establishment often. Usually the drinks are spot on. Its one of the reasons I like coming here. Tonight was a different story. The new female bartender I don't think has any idea what she is doing or she needs more training. 2 different round of drinks my friend and I ordered were wrong. The other female bartender that has been working here for awhile fixed them for us. I dont think I will be ordering any drinks from the new girl until she can make some improvement. The consistency or the following of a recipe just was not there tonight.

We have great food and drinks here regularly. Steven, Seth, Savannah, McKenzie, JJ, Dave are thoughtful food and drink preparers with friendly and efficient service. A pleasure to have this in our community!

Our first, and only, experience with The Handsome Cab was unfortunately a poor one. While our server was top notch and attentive, we waited almost a full 45 minutes for our meals. We started with a small plate appetizer which was delicious, but the experience bottomed out from there. After a long wait for our main course food, when it arrived the Chicken Sandwich was far too overcooked, burnt brown and dry as hay... and the "smash burger" was two little burnt hockey puck sized burgers that were passed, not smashed. To exasperate the situation, the manager then had the nerve to argue with my date and I about the meals. The only positive from our experience was the comped appetizer, as we were certainly not waiting an additional 45 minutes for new food, nor were we paying for two poorly made meals with knock off Checker's fries.

Nestled in the heart of downtown York, the White Rose Bar & Grill has been a beloved dining destination for over 85 years. Originally opened as The Beaver Inn in 1933 by the grandparents of current owner Tom Sibol, this charming wood-paneled bistro offers a diverse menu that tantalizes taste buds with options ranging from seafood paella to a mouthwatering prime-rib French dip. Guests can also indulge in their impressive jumbo cocktails, including their famous fishbowls during Happy Hour.
We sat in the covered patio area, such a nice break from the heat. The food was simply amazing! The appetizers were big enough for a whole meal or a great split between the table, although they are so good you may not want to share. Price was very reasonable, in fact I thought we got more than our moneys worth. Great place highly recommend!

The restaurant is in a great location, in a very beautiful building, but the food and service are at the lowest level. If you are asked how well the meat is done, you don't have to answer, you will still get a dried out piece of mince. Cold spaghetti, which looks like it was cooked yesterday, can't be commented on. Luckily, I didn't get to try all the drinks from the bar, but the one I ordered was terrible, I can't find any other words. The final disappointment was when the employee decided to open the dirty curtain covering the veranda, right at our table, at the moment when our food was brought. This will be the last place I decide to go to again.

Ok so I just want to ask…. Why change a good thing? This was the place for us to come to enjoy an AMAZING hot crab dip bread bowl. The Whote Rose took it off of the menu!!! Replaced an amazing item to a small bowl of crab dip with hard tortilla chips. Not a good idea. So sad.

I’m not from the area but have been here a handful of times. The food is always amazing. The espresso martinis were so good and our server was phenomenal. Wish I could remember her name, but we showed up for the last 30 min of happy hour and she let us know so we were able to get 2 rounds of drinks and a appetizer at half price. 🙌🏼

The restaurant is easy to find with street parking available. They were busy but not packed on a Sunday night. The bar below us was REALLY noisy with drinkers, which is the only reason I lowered the stars for “atmosphere.” Stevie was a great server and friendly. He was attentive to our needs without being interruptive. We ordered the surf & turf hot stone which was fun. The food was tasty and we enjoyed the uniqueness of cooking our food at the table. It was simple and we enjoyed this menu option. Restrooms were clean and soap worked, with hot water-bonus! Many restaurants don’t have either! There are several locations (rooms) to select for your reservation. Ours was big and open, which we liked. I recommend White Rose, ask for Stevie’s section.

Went to WhiteRose on a Sunday night to celebrate a wedding anniversary. There was a party going on, so our food took longer to come out, but WOW, was it worth it! We ordered a New York Strip, french onion soup, and The Optimus Prime Burger. Everything was cooked to perfection. However, The Optimus Prime burger was definitely the star of our meal as it's an actual burger with prime rib slices on top! Our waitress totally made our night! She was so sweet, personable, and professional! Her Old Fashioneds are amazing! Turns out she's competed in several bartending competitions! Her skills are evident in her cocktails. If you don't want to be disappointed, ask to be seated in Liv's (short for Olivia) section! The bar area might feel a little chilly if the patio doors are opened. If you plan on sitting here, be sure to bring a light jacket! Parking is not free; metered street parking is available, and there's also a gated lot behind the restaurant with $2 per hour parking.

I've tried to like this place, but this is the last time I'll go there. I ordered the grilled caesar salad, which tastes pretty good, but tonight they gave me about 5 pieces of romaine (for $14). The entree was so small it was comical. When I brought it to the server's attention, she made no attempt to make it right, just said if I order another one it will still be that small. I don't need to pay for parking to eat here, will go somewhere else.

Roosevelt Tavern is an upscale American restaurant housed in a historic building dating back to 1863, offering elegant dining spaces and a charming patio for al fresco dining. Guests have praised the attentive service and pleasant ambiance, making it suitable for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. The menu features delectable dishes such as pork with sweet potato puree, French onion soup, crab cakes, and a variety of mouthwatering desserts.
Although I didn't dine at Roosevelt Tavern as a regular guest, I gave it five stars based on the food served at a wedding reception I attended there. The reception menu was impressive—the beef dish received rave reviews from my tablemate, and even though I don’t eat beef, I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken, salad, and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious! The restaurant's ambiance was comfortable, and it seamlessly accommodated over 50 guests for the event. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend Roosevelt Tavern.

We had an excellent Easter dinner at the Roosevelt Tavern. It was a buffet with New York strip steak, Ham, Shrimp and much more. It was so nice sitting down at a table with a tablecloth (white) and cotton napkins. Thanks for keeping that much missed detail alive. Dessert were also top notch. Lemon Blueberry cake was the best I've ever tasted. Finally the service was excellent. Very attention and knowledgeable on menu.

Great atmosphere and customer service. Went with a group and most said their food was "Good...it just [insert coulda/woulda/shoulda]" To us, they missed the mark. We'd certainly try again and other guests have enjoyed Roosevelt previously and spoke highly of prior visits. My wife ordered the seafood fettuccine which lacked some flavor/spice. My Cluckin' Chicken sandwich was ok, just didn't stand out.

Excellent service, atmosphere, and food! I agree with others' comments that this is a 'secret' of sorts in York. We really enjoyed our dinner, especially the lobster bisque special. Their drinks are great as well as the desserts, too. Entree was cooked just right for my pork.

Every Meal here is a experience for the taste buds. My family loves the tried and true recipes that are always on their menu but we also enjoy the new specials they cook up. And the amazing desserts that they serve. I have never had a bad meal here and just enjoy everytime we go.

First experience here missed the mark for us which is a shame because it's so close to our home. There are very few choices for vegetarians. So, my wife was stuck with one choice for an entrée, which was okay - not great. It tasted like any generic Olive Garden pasta dish, but more expensive. My real disappointment was firmly on my steak dinner - "The Cowboy (something)." I asked for medium and it came pretty close but it was flavorless and bit too much char. The house steak sauce was similar to an A-1 sauce with something added to it. And unfortunately, 30% of the steak was fat and gristle. The mashed potatoes tasted pretty decent, but presentation-wise, looked a mess. And finally, the asparagus was wildly overcooked, limp, and bitter. I don't mind paying $50+ for a dinner that shines, but sadly, this one did not. The server was friendly, polite, and attentive and did very well. The atmosphere seemed a bit pretentious and you can literally smell the age of the room. Like, old musty wood. Overall, it's definitely overpriced for what they deliver. Not sure we'll be back anytime soon.
Nick P — Google review
So great. We were able to make reservations using Google chat which was really nice. The French onion and the Sriracha chicken bites were a great way to start. I had a old fashioned with Woodford, but noticed two fellows enjoying some Manhattan's, so I switched to those and they do a great job with a Knob Creek Manhattan. We had the Filet, Crab Cake, and bone in Ribeye special. Everything was fantastic. The parking is behind the restaurant and is very well lit.

We just celebrated our Dover Area High School graduate this past Saturday (5/31/25) at the Roosevelt Tavern, and everything—from the food to the atmosphere to the service—was absolutely FANTASTIC. What made the day even more meaningful is the personal connection we have with this place. The father of my children, Edward “Peewee” Green, was a chef here many years ago under the previous owner, Bob Schimmel. Sadly, he passed away in November of 2012. Though my kids were only 4 and 5 years old at the time, many patrons still fondly remember him and speak so highly of his time at the Roosevelt. What we didn’t expect—what truly left us speechless—was the incredible gesture from the current owner. Unbeknownst to us, he had held onto one of Peewee’s old chef coats for the past 15 years, and he gifted it to our graduate during the celebration. That thoughtful, deeply touching act gave our kids a priceless piece of their father’s legacy—a physical connection to a man they’ve heard so much about, but lost too soon. We are forever grateful for that moment. It meant the world to me and to our family. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

Central Market House, a historic market established in 1888 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, offers an array of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and crafts. While it may not be a large farm market with only a few vendors for produce, meat, deli items, and fish, it is renowned as an excellent spot for lunch with diverse options. Visitors can find locally made jewelry, art pieces and furniture at some stands within the market.

Probably would have been better if more stalls were opened. Went on a Thursday around 10AM and a lot of the stalls had signs stating....not open...open at 12...open on Saturday. What was open was decent, including a homemade jewelry stall and a fresh Italian food stall. Just next door connected is the Mudhoom Brewery.... they were very good .. visited them the previous evening

I'm told many many of what made York great, the bone structure, the historical vibes - are gone. Again with the bougie nonsense tearing down history THE GOOD History across the country. Not everything needs replacing. This is almost all that's worth visiting when I return home. Some shops I frequented are still there, others gone, but.. ..leave this place alone

What a wonderful market! Central Market in downtown York PA has something to offer for everyone. Housing a robust collection of prepared food, produce and craft vendors, the market makes for the perfect Saturday morning activity. Food options are diverse, ranging from fresh made pizza and bagels to sushi to Brazilian cheese waffles (must try). On the produce/grocery side, you have a wide variety of locally grown veggies and sourced meats available. Highly suggest checking out the oil and vinegar stand located towards the right side of the market, as they have some unique infusions that will elevate any home chef's creations. Prices overall are very reasonable considering the quality and locally sourced nature of the goods. Parking is relatively easy, as there are 2 garages within a block of the market as well as meter street parking (both are free on Saturdays). If you ever find yourself in York, definitely make it a point to stop by Central Market for some shopping and lunch!

Nestled near the historic downtown of York, Central Family Restaurant is a charming local gem that beckons both residents and visitors alike. This cozy diner may not boast an impressive exterior, resembling more of a warehouse than a classic eatery, but step inside and you'll be greeted by an inviting atmosphere adorned with nostalgic memorabilia from the area’s past.

The staff is very friendly and I did find it to be charming however that's where the positivity ends. The food is overpriced for what you get. The first picture is the Seafood Trio I ordered and I was looking forward to it since the dish cost $20.99. It was supposed to be shrimp, haddock, and a crab cake. As you can see from the picture, it did not live up to its expectations. That is a sad trio. Four pieces of small shrimp just placed to fill space, the small piece of haddock even more sad looking with barely much color, and the crab cake plopped on there; very poor presentation. The taste was worse; not a hint of seasoning, very bland and left me dissatisfied. For the bit of seasoning on the crab cake, the crab cake became the most seasoned of the trio. The baked potato became the star of the dish instead of the trio itself. The spaghetti my son had was drowned in tomato sauce leaving a plate of sauce when he was done and the garlic bread was less than satisfying. The cheeseburger my daughter had looked more appetizing than my $20.99 trio. With that said, take pride in your food, season it well and price down if you decide to keep your food at these standards. For 4 people and what we ordered, it was not worth $69. If I was only rating according to your staff, then you'd get a higher rating because our waitress was great.

I can't believe this place is allowed to serve their food to the public. I took two bites and couldn't take it. It tasted truly awful. They were nice, but they need a new chef. Two pieces of white chicken should not look like this. The gravy was awful and the stuffing wasn't done...pretty sure the chicken wasn't either. Bones and veins sticking out everywhere. My gosh, it gave me nausea even thinking about it later. It looked like they just took an axe to a chicken in back and threw a piece in the oven. Nightmare material for real.

District Thai Restaurant is a spacious and well-ventilated eatery that offers a variety of familiar Thai dishes such as curries, noodles, and more. The restaurant provides a laid-back atmosphere for diners to enjoy their meals. Customers can expect top-notch service from the professional staff even during busy times. One customer raved about their seafood plate which was beautifully presented in photos.
Wow, just wow. This food was phenomenal for its price point and the serving sizes are huge. The staff is always so nice, I love coming here with my church and even if we bring 15+ people they always accommodate for us and serve us excellence every single time. The Chicken Kra Pow was delicious and so savory. And of course, their Thai Tea is top notch. If you’re looking for a high quality restaurant in the york city area this is the spot.

Went for lunch. Very quick and friendly service. Had the appetizer of Chicken Golden Bags. Little fried bags of ground chicken and veggies. Delicious. I had mamasan curry with chicken. My girlfriend had a Thai noodle soup from their pho menu. Both were excellent. There’s also a little store in the corner selling imported Thai and Asian groceries. I bought a bottle of very hot oil with chilis and garlic. Highly recommended.
Bill B — Google review
Pad thai was perfectly average. It had decent flavor, but way too many bean sprouts. Would have been better with a little more of the sauce as it was on the dry side. The mammasara curry was good with plenty of sauce, and you could taste the curry. Make sure to ask for spicy because it's needed to balance out the sweetness in the sauce. The best thing we had was the chicken bags. Despite the unflattering name, they were a great starter with a lot of flavor. Portions were large, and we each took some home. The service was great, and the food came out unbelievably fast.

Cashew chicken done right! I always order food without green peppers and it was not a problem. They added extra carrots and onions. My sister-in-law order drunken noodles and loved it. We ended our meal with mango and sticky rice!

We went here for the first time and had a great experience. The food was very good, the service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. The chees wontons were very cheesy and delicious, and we both enjoyed our entrees. Compared to other Thai restaurants, we thought this one was just as good as the others.

I adore this little hidden gem. The food is amazing and fresh, it’s always delicious, and I love shopping the little market they have while I’m waiting for my food. I’ve only ordered take out so far, because my lunch breaks are limited, but you can feel the cozy and relaxed vibe of the atmosphere as soon as you walk in. I love the decor, especially the wall mural. I’ll be honest that’s I haven’t moved past the pho yet because I’m obsessed with it. I’ve also tried the calamari, mango sweet rice, pumpkin empanadas, bikini shrimp, and chicken golden bags. Everything has been amazing.

Honestly, we absolutely love Thai food and have had a lot of it. This place was just aight. It didn't knock out socks off. It was just ok. The drunken noodles didn't have much flavor. Also they didn't have Thai peppers or chili sauce.

Large portion sizes and fast service. I was impressed with the many vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. The vegan chicken drumsticks were very good. This has a neighborhood carry-out, dine in restaurant vibe. Meaning nothing fancy about this place but rather an ideal place to drop in for a quick bite when you want to be casual. Note, there are no alcohol libations on the menu.

The bakery has received positive reviews for its high-quality offerings, including the meat lovers pizza and BLT sandwiches. In 2018, The Copper Crust Co.
Such a cute little spot perfectly located off 83 and by a hospital. This spot offers a selection of baked items, burger, pizza and quiches! It is a self service spot but there are still plenty of hard working staff who check in with you to make sure you have the best experience! Everyone is very friendly and don’t hesitate to ask them if you need anything! We got the quiche, tots, burger, pizza and baked item and I really can’t say I have any complaints! The burger was perfectly cooked & interesting choice of using an English muffin but it worked! The quiche was the probably the thickest I had ever seen and not overly salty and I loved the egg to meat ratio. The German pizza was excellent!! Very creamy and paired nicely with the side salad. I can’t recall what the pastry was called but started with Paris something and it was so good! The pair of the vanilla and chocolate cream on the side paired beautifully with the crunchy exterior and almonds.

This is my favorite bakery in York. They have several gluten free options which are clearly marked and DELICIOUS. Gluten free goods often dry out faster than their glutenous versions because gluten functions to hold moisture. These baked goods were fresh and seemed to be coincidentally gluten free rather than made to have something to sell to my kind. Their coffee, service, baked goods, and location are all great.

Love everything I've had here. They had an amazing cinnamon bread pudding with crumble topping. Diving. And their croissants are amazing. As are their pies and countless pastries. The location is kinda better than when they were downtown. And we ve always found parking in front of the shop. I wish the place were cuter on the inside caus it's be a nice spot to sit and eat or would add to the overall vibe and bakery treat experience. But their treats are so amazing!!

Nestled conveniently across from the hospital, The Copper Crust is a fast-casual gem in York, PA, where you can indulge in a variety of dishes from pizza to pastries. Upon entering, the inviting atmosphere combined with the charming decor made it clear that this place was not just about the food but also about the experience. The ordering process is simple: you place your order at the counter and are given a number card to wait for your meal. This efficient setup is perfect for the bustling lunchtime crowd, especially with many patrons opting for carry-out. We kicked off our meal with The German pizza, a heavenly creation featuring crème fraîche, roasted garlic, red onion, and house-made bacon. The combination of flavors was fantastic, with the roasted garlic adding depth to the dish and the crispy bacon providing a satisfying crunch. Next up was The Frenchy smash burger, a standout on their menu. Topped with sautéed mushrooms, brie cheese, and red onion marmalade, drizzled with rosemary aioli, it was a gourmet twist on a classic. The richness of the brie paired nicely with the sweet and savory elements of the marmalade, making this burger one to remember. It was juicy and flavorful, definitely a must have. To round out our meal, we shared a slice of ham and gouda quiche, which was equally impressive. The flaky crust cradled a savory filling that balanced the smoky ham and creamy gouda just right. It was hearty yet light enough to leave room for dessert. For dessert, we opted for their crumbly coffee cake. With its perfect balance of sweetness and a delightful crumbly texture, it was the ideal ending to our meal. Paired with a hot cup of coffee, it was hard to resist going back for another slice. Overall, The Copper Crust exceeded our expectations with its diverse menu and high-quality offerings. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or planning a leisurely lunch, this spot is a must-visit in York. With friendly service and a cozy atmosphere, it’s easy to see why they have a steady stream of customers, both in-house and for takeout. We can’t wait to return and try more of their delicious creations!

This place is a 10 out of 10. They serve all of my favorites from iced coffees to cheesecake to quiche to croissants in the even do burgers which I have not tried. Their croissants are the second best I've ever had and I've tried a lot of croissants in my time. It has the crispiness on the outside and holds its integrity well but it has a very soft buttery inside and slightly very slightly compact inside. They really know what they're doing with the croissants. Is there cheesecakes look spectacular by the way and I'm going to have to get one. Also how could I forget their loaves of bread. I really don't see how they do it all. I could come here every day.

Stopped by here at the beginning of a road trip. The eclair was delicious. Coffee and tea were great. Like it even more than the Paris Brest. Everybody working there was super nice.

The bagels are from NY and so good. The smoked salmon bagel was one of the best I have had in a very long time. The Paris bun is so good. Excellent coffee! The prices are good for the quality of the food. If you are at the York Hospital it is an easy walk and worth it! The counter staff were both so friendly and helpful. Wish I lived closer! Hope to come back again.

We stopped by here after dropping off my son more supplies at YCP. We originally were going to take him there for pizza, but he already had plans. So we stopped by and got a pie and some bread/cake (not 100% sure my wife got it). The Apple pie was really good. I hope to have a pizza, but I'm sure my son will make his way over since pizza is his favorite food.

Nestled in a cozy corner, Hamir's Indian Fusion offers a delightful blend of classic and innovative Indian cuisine within its chic, minimalist decor adorned with vibrant green walls and traditional art. This inviting eatery may be compact, but it packs a punch when it comes to flavor. This restaurant is amazing. I don’t think I can say enough about how great this place is. The staff are amazing and the food is out of this world. It truly has been a long time since I have been to restaurant like this. If you are looking for an experience I highly recommend trying out Hamir’s you will not be disappointed.

You must try this place for food, craft cocktails, or dessert! Chef Hamir came out several times to check on us. He is extremely friendly, kind, and talented. Each dish is prepared with care and the presentation and flavor are exquisite. We started with coconut shrimp that exceeded our expectations and was prepared like none I have had before. Samosas were cooked to perfection and topped with savory sauces. The red curry ginger with crab was phenomenal! The garlic naan and the biryani rice were the perfect compliment. Save room for Dessert! The butterscotch cake, boozy ice cream, popping boba, and donut holes (I cannot remember the name) were delectable! Our server, Kari was fantastic! The mixologist also visited our table. He is amazing! I ordered “mulling it over” which is a refreshing blend of coconut rum, ginger, lime, with cardamom syrup (made in house)—the perfect blend of sweetness with a hint of spice from ginger. I wish I were in town another day to try another meal! Thank you, Hamir, Kari, and team for a wonderful meal and experience!

Phenomenal dinner. Service & recommendations - top tier, shout to our server, Kari (?) who was very detail oriented & knew her menu. Hamir, the owner & executive chef even came out & talked to our table & recognized some of the guests that we had, highly recommend this place. The food was fantastic & savory, & the desserts were amazing. 10/10

All around amazing! From the service, personal attention from the owner, to all the wonderful and fresh flavors in every dish, you really cannot ask for more and I don’t say that very easily! My wife and I both were blown away. Definitely a new favorite for both of us and this was our first full Indian cuisine experience. I don’t think anything else can compare. Highly recommended!

Hamir's Indian Fusion is a true culinary gem of York! You'll find amazing flavorful food, with top notch service and just a great dining experience. Hamir's offers dishes you won't find anywhere else and is restaurant well worth the drive if needed. Their servers are great and recently handled our party of 16! So if you're looking for a more upscale casual or even fine dining experience, you're sure to enjoy some visits to Hamir's!

Just had the perfect date night at Hamir’s! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone — warm, inviting, and just the right mix of relaxed and lively. Our server, Kari, was fantastic — attentive without hovering, and she made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely outstanding. I went for the paneer and asked for it extra spicy (they delivered 🔥 in the best way!), while he had a crab curry that he’s still talking about. Each bite was packed with flavor and felt crafted with real care. The craft cocktails were as creative as they were delicious — the kind of drinks that make you pause mid-sip to appreciate. And it was a nice touch that the owner stopped by to check on us personally, which made the evening feel even more special. Hamir’s is the kind of place where great service, incredible food, and a welcoming environment all come together. We’ll definitely be back!

Gift Horse Brewing Company is a charming brewery with a rustic vibe, recommended by friends. The decor exudes a revival era feel, and the beers are mostly fantastic, with some not to everyone's taste. The apple pie moonshine is smooth and delightful. They also offer delicious pretzels from the York Pretzel Company. It's a great spot to visit before an event at the Strand. Visitors from North Carolina enjoyed the relaxed outdoor bar area and engaging conversations with friendly bartenders.
The Triple Crown Brown was my favorite this stop. Fun staff. Live music. BLT was really good too.

Great trivia setup on Thursdays! The drinks are a bit pricey for what you get compared to other places downtown, but it's not too bad and the cocktails are quality.

Such a fun place to hang out and listen to good music. I loved the variety of drink options, as my husband and I are gluten-free, and thus can't drink beer. We tried the seltzer on tap (both awesome) and the blueberry crush (highly recommend). The bartenders were really great. Best way to spend Saturday night.

I was in town for work and saw it as I was passing by. I try to eat at local or regional places as much as possible when traveling so this was a must try situation. I expected a certain level of Kitsch, but it was so much better than that. It was genuine and fun and a good experience, not just a good meal. The staff were messing around with each other, the manager was eating and giving them a good natured hard time. It was...nice. the food was great, prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was fun. I'll be there again anytime I'm back that way.
Shane W — Google review
I was very pleased with the workings of this diner. They were busy and yet I was able to be seated quickly. Waitress was very patient with me as I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. Finally settled on an omelet with homefries and toast. All the good was hot when served. For my personal taste the home fries could have cooked longer on the flattop so they were all browned.
Wayne O — Google review
Very nice and clean retro diner. Our young waitress and most staff observed were awesome but this one loud mouth older redhead witch should've been sent home after going off on a coworker infront of customers. She had no class yelling and cussing. I couldn’t believe a Supervisor didn't get her out of there no matter who was at fault. It was obvious many of the staff were clearly embarrassed and on edge afterwards. Would've been a 5 review otherwise!
James C — Google review
Charming diner! Not many places open 24 hours anymore. Nice and clean with a great staff. Prices are good. When we ordered our food, I swear it was less than 10 minutes until we got our food. Waitress was excellent. Oh hey... they asked if we wanted a to go cup for our drink. I really liked that. My only complaint is that there's no napkin dispenser on the table. They give you a napkin with the silverware, and that's it. Unless you ask.
Robert E — Google review
My family and I have always stopped at the sheets across the way for over a decade We always wanted to stop here, but had never really had the time. We had time today and we agreed it did NOT disappoint. The staff was super polite. I saw our waiter adjust how he interacted with us after just two times of talking with me and my family to give us the best style of service for us. I ordered the turkey croissant sandwich that comes with coleslaw and a pickle spear like all of the sandwiches, and the ingredients were very fresh. In addition, the bathrooms were very well maintained!
Richard — Google review
I'm old so take the taste opinions with a grain of salt. (See what I did there) I had the hot roast beef sandwich and it needed a little more seasoning to the gravy. But the service and the speed at which the food came out was amazing. Our wait staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is just what you want if you are searching Diner. There is counter seats which we always love. Big place so even if it's busy there should be room. I posted the menus because I couldn't find a good idea of their selection online.

Typical chain restaurant that has consistent quality at a fair price. Service was not very good and the restaurant was not very crowded. The highlight of the evening was the flavored lemonade. Real strawberries whole and purée making it a great combo.

Our first time here and we were not disappointed! The free honey butter croissants set the tone for the entire evening. The honey Dijon mushroom chicken was FANTASTIC, as was the country fried chicken. We finished with the apple pie and ice cream, which we will definitely order again. My girls and I spent the day in PA and decided to stop here for dinner… lemme tell you this place did Not disappoint! 🥰 Beyond expectation! It looked crowded when we pulled up and was busy inside but they still seated us right away. Our server was also busy yet still attentive to our every need and the manager Omar was just as kind, accommodating, with such a wonderful spirit. Our food came out hot, seasoned, and tasty. We usually always have to add some type seasoning to our food, but they did such a great job, we didn’t feel it necessary. That Literally NEVER happens. Everything down to the beautiful fish tank by the entrance was a treat. We’ll def be back soon! Thank you for the great experience.. Ohhh Wait!! The bread!! My lawd the bread! We cudda stopped with the bread. Thank God we didn’t lol! 🙏🏽

Had a Caesar Salad but although it was excellent I wish I had the homemade ranch on it! Our sweet waitress refilled my tea to go back to our hotel. She was definitely a highlight of our dining experience because she was never too far away for too long! Quick, speedy, didn’t forget anything and was always checking in. Her service skills are tops. The Holy Hound Taproom is a cozy establishment located in a historic building. It boasts an extensive selection of 30 craft beers on tap, which are showcased on a chalkboard menu. This tavern has gained popularity due to its reputation for delicious food and quick service. Guests can indulge in appetizers like wings, which are promptly served with impressive quality. The menu also features a delectable burger, known for its exceptional taste.
What a great find! Hole-in-the-wall bar feel and I mean that with all the admiration and love. Food was bar food style - we had the burger with Gouda (Gooey Gouda Burger) and cheese curds and tried several beers out of the thirty they had on tap. Shayne was our sever and what a great young man. Awesome personality and efficient. Checked on us just enough to make sure we had everything we needed. We had four different beers from different breweries around the country and I ended my evening with a pumpkin spice martini (Holy cow! DELICIOUS!) over all - fantastic bar experience! Casual dining and casual attire required. Definitely would visit here again!

Holy hound is a great place for a bite and a beer. They have 30 different beers (mostly local to my knowledge) on tap and dozens more by the bottle/can. They also have a decent cocktail list- nothing fancy, but not bad! There food is classic bar food and is very tasty. They run great happy hour prices (4-6pm) with different foods on different days so if you are going to eat I would recommend in that time frame. The atmosphere is very relaxed and fun, and the waiting staff and bartenders are solid!
Ethan K — Google review
My favorite place to play trivia and get drinks over the week! They always have great food here when you're hungry, though the prices are just a tad high compared to other places. Beer selection is excellent! The trivia host, John, is very fun and engaging every week, and our regular bartender Brandon is always friendly and helpful in getting us taken care of. Wonderful!
Sasha V — Google review
Holy Hound was a perfect lunch spot for us. We enjoyed their pierigies, arugula salad, fish sandwich on Amaroso roll. We ate outside since we had our dog with us. They served us outdoors, were very friendly, helpful, and we didn't need to wait. I marked the atmosphere a 4 star instead of a five star only because there is a very repetitive ongoing chirping crosswalk sound at the intersection there. But that of course does not reflect this delightful place to eat. Also, the inside was very inviting, next time we'll leave the pup home! I recommend Holy Hound!

If this is what's considered cool these days, I'm sorry for everyone in their 20s. Bartenders with zero motivation and even less charisma? Advertising desserts you don't actually have? Can't pour a Guineas. No thanks. This place was anti-fun.

Stopped in while in York to check out the local brewery scene. This is an excellent local neighborhood brewery. It has a parking lot which is novel downtown. It's in a cool area with a lot of interesting murals. There is plenty of inside and outside seating. The inside has a cool brick and wood vibe to it. The beer was very good. It rated one of the top two places we visited in York. If we were local we would be here a lot. Check them out!

I was really looking foward to this place. The smells that was enaminating from there would make anyone's mouth water.... You had to seat yourself and the table was dirty. You placed all your orders at the bar. So getting their attention to do that was a little chaotic. Instead of getting you water from behind the bar.... you served yourself from a little dispenser. All I could imagine is how many people had touched that... Again dont like beer. We ordered the crushes... and it was literally vodka and white claw. 🫣 🤮 The food was delicious. Definitely worth going out there for or even take out. Not worth going out there for a drink.

Why didn't I know about this place sooner. I have been missing out but now that I know it exists, I can't wait to go back. Such a great place to eat or have drinks. Wonderful restaurant. Quality food. The French onion soup was beautifully presented and delicious. Lamb burger is so good! My friend had the octopus, and it was tender. The creme Brule was truly memorable.

AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things. I got the Shrimp Primavera & it was incredible. I also got the scallop appetizer - to die for! The ricotta paired so well with the scallop & red sauce. I got the crap soup, so good! Large chunks of crab were throughout the soup, they didn’t skimp! My friend got the pork chop! The waitress said this was one of the most popular dishes on the menu. It was HUGE. Seriously at least 3.5in THICK. Super tender inside & delish. Everything was very reasonably priced. For example my soup, scallop appetizer, & shrimp dish total cost about 40-ish $. Highly recommend! This was a cool looking place & comfortable seating. Must go here!!! I will be back! The service was incredible and attentive. A good waitress seems hard to come by these days & our waitress was one of the best. She knew the menu thoroughly, you never sat without a full beverage, and she kept the table clean of dirty dishes.

Enjoyed a special night out to The First Post. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We were seated on the 2nd floor that overlooked the bar area. Both my husband and I enjoyed our food. I will say I tried something new (The Poached Lobster Fettuccine) It has the fresh summer flavors. I will say it wasn't my favorite but it was still good. But I probably will be getting what my husband got as the Filet Mignon and that was superb! The flourless chocolate cake just for note the marshmallow is warmed but the cake itself is cooler. I was thinking it was all going to be warmed up but not what I expected. Still it was a delight!

Popular spot in York. I ordered the Korean short rib and the flavor was phenomenal but the only drawback was the meat was a bit fattier than I like but the meat did fall off the bone. The appetizers were good as well, I’d recommend the brussel sprouts!

READ IN ENTIRETY:: I typically shy away from places with this many 5 star ratings. 4.7 with a couple of thousand reviews is rare. First off the build is beautiful. Italian or Greek I’m guessing. Unplanned I walked into the happy hour. Iam a business traveler and have been up and down the east coast, from dive bars to Michelin star rated establishments. I was instructed by the bartender that house wine was half price. Which btw is class. Most are taught to upsell “not take care of”. I proceeded to order off the bar happy hour menu. Shrimp and grits and 2 sliders. For the price point I expected bar food. However I was pleasantly shocked at two gourmet dishes, both visually and tastefully prepared. So for a glass of wine, 2 wonderful small plates it cost me under $20. I almost feel like I robbed the place. I have been to exclusive places in Manhattan and haven’t experienced this level of dining. Wow, I win in York PA. Truly a 5 star restaurant. Pssst. This is NOT a hidden gem, gets busy. I am just late to the party.

If you're looking for a seafood-forward restaurant in a casual atmosphere with a patio, The Paddock is definitely worth checking out. Their crabcakes are some of the best I've ever had, and their crab dip is mouth-watering. The service is always top-notch, and the food arrives quickly and perfectly every time. Only downside is that I didn't enjoy the imperial sauce on my seafood imperial w/crab dish, but otherwise 5 out of 5 stars!
If you are a foodie with a love of surf and turf then you will love this place. Their bacon wrapped scallops wow! My mouth is watering as I think about them! The steak was cooked to perfection, drinks were on point and delicious. I had a raspberry lemon drop and the hubby had a delicious mojito. Love this place 💜

Good food, ok service. We tried a bit of everything and crab soup and crab cake were the best. Food was made out of fresh ingredients and presented beautifully. Served was still learning the menu but still provided a decent recommendation. May return but there are better options available for seafood.

Our service was wonderful. The food was very tasty. I ordered the HOT lobster roll and it did not disappoint. Everyone has an opinion and this is just mine, my personal opinion is that the price point is a bit too high for the quality… and that is not to say I did not thoroughly enjoy what I ate. I’ve just been many places and again, I just personally think it’s priced a little too high. I would eat there again and would try something new. My son ordered the Cowboy Burger and LOVED it. I would still recommend this restaurant to others.

First time here and found this gem by accident on a Friday night. Let me preface this by saying it's a bit pricey but so worth it! Thanks for another restaurant not fitting us in. Pulling up it had a quaint atmosphere, with outside seating. Upon entering, the 3 of us were greeted and without reservations were sat promptly at a table in close proximity of the bar. It's not a huge place but quickly filled with customers and some waiting for tables. Our waitress Connie was very attentive and eager to make our experience great. I ordered the drink special of raspberry lemon drop martini, hubby got an old fashioned and mom had a mango martini which we all enjoyed. Mom & I ordered the Jumbo Lump Chesapeake Crab Haddock Imperial topped with shrimp and wow absolutely amazing! Hubby got the Usda Prime Angus New York Strip With Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and said it was amazing as well. Portions are huge. Will definitely be coming back!

Fabulous food. Excellent seafood. I enjoyed the Eastern Seafood Trifecta. Broiled shrip, Nantucket scallops and crab cake. Juicy and very good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Good drinks and peanut butter pie for dessert.

We passed this place many times and never tried to go in. The first time we did go on we were advised we needed to have reservations. I don't know of that is all of the time or if it is just during the busy periods only. But I finally made the reservation and got a table for us to go and try this restaurant out. It was busy and packed, so the reservations, at least at that time made sense. Apparently our table wasn't ready so they offered us another table with high chairs and gave us a free round of drinks. So that was nice. As far as the menu, it is a little difficult to follow as the font is very small and there is a lot of choice for foods, steak and fish primarily. I have to say the prices seemed high. I am not sure if this is normal or if higher due to COVID and droughts and such. The stuffed mushroom was good with soft and tasty crab meat. The side salad was left to desire more for the cost of food here, very basic. The cream of crab soup was delicious. The stuffed mushroom were good, but the same stuffing that was used for the mushroom, so no difference in taste. The crab cake, again, seemed like the same taste as the other stuffed products we had. As far deserts, they only had 3 and all were cakes (cheesecake, peanut butter cake and key lime pie) so we opted to defer. But overall the staff were very pleasant and kind, they were attentive despite being very busy and the food was delicious (albeit expensive for the portions you received). It doesn't necessarily scare us away from future visits from this restaurant though.

Food was great! Service was good! Steak was super tender. Portions were all on point. We started with the shrimp appetizer and was definitely not disappointed. The salad was crisp and dressing was delicious. Could have used a larger plate, but can't complain. We did ask for bread, which never came. The server did seem a bit distracted, but it was okay. The steak, spaghetti, and cream of crab soup was amazing. The meatball grinder, while tasty, was too messy to really eat. My daughter ended up trying a fork/knife, but it just was a mess. I would avoid that area of the menu. Dessert are all great and worth a stop in just for that. Overall, great place of a nice meal. Food and experience is upper level, prices are worth the value, and other than a few hiccups, it is a solid recommendation.

Steak house
American restaurant
Restaurant
Texas Roadhouse is a vibrant steakhouse that serves American cuisine with a Southwestern twist, surrounded by Texas-themed decorations. Although there may be a slight wait for seating, especially on St. Patrick's Day, the staff is welcoming and the establishment is well-maintained. The food arrives promptly and is delectable, particularly their unparalleled homemade rolls accompanied by cinnamon butter. The ribs are particularly impressive, leaving a lasting impression even after a long absence from the restaurant.
We recently dined at Texas Roadhouse in York, PA, and I must say, the experience was exceptional! Our server, Kristy L, went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness made us feel right at home. She offered great recommendations and ensured our drinks were always full. The food was nothing short of fantastic! The hand-cut steaks were cooked to perfection, and the freshly baked bread with cinnamon butter is a must-try. Each dish was bursting with flavor, and the portions were generous. Overall, the combination of Kristy’s outstanding service and the delicious food makes Texas Roadhouse at York, PA a top choice. I can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!

I was very disappointed with my takeout experience yesterday. To start, my mom and I both ordered the same temperature for our steak - medium. One steak was cooked medium rare and the other was cooked medium well. I’ll share a photo of them side by side where you can see the clear difference. I mean that’s just bad when it’s even in the same order! The side salads are a pitiful portion compared to what they give you if you dine in. Our order requested an extra dressing for the Caesar salad, which was not provided. I actually ordered the same exact thing from here last week and they failed to include my extra dressing then also so it seems to be a common mistake for this location. My mom ordered butter and sour cream for her baked potato toppings which were literally put in the same container! See photo. We both have worked in restaurants and that is completely unacceptable! I read another review on here that the same thing happened to another customer so I guess it’s what they do normally. The only thing that was remotely acceptable was my sweet potato. All around very disappointing takeout experience from this location. I will no longer be giving them my business. Do better.

Well. I thought I’d order a medium rare steak expecting medium. But my goodness did they mess this up. I wanted the prime rib. Wanted to splurge after 50 hours in 100 degree heat this weak. I earned. Why the heck not. I got a well done prime rib and I haven’t been this disappointed since prom night. Ignoring the fact the 3 tables around us arrived after and got their food first, how to you get a well done prime rib when you order medium rare. Beyond disappointing. It’s a total gut punch. Our server was great (Emily) and immediately offered to remedy the steak. She was disgusted by the site of a prime rib in such poor form. She took our steak off the bill because I figured I’d be too full on the sides by the time a new steak was “cooked”. The service was fine and all the other food was good. But how do you constantly cook steak wrong.

This is our 3rd time getting undercooked meat from here. We ordered two kids meals to go and the burgers were raw in the middle. This is our last time ever eating here. I would not recommend coming at all.

Typical of what you would find at a Texas roadhouse. The one in Texas by my house is no different than the one in York, Pennsylvania. Food was consistent with what I’ve ordered in the past. Steak salad was a good dinner portion and cooked exactly as ordered. Can’t write a review without mentioning the raspberry lemonade. Better than a soft drink, but probably just as bad to drink as a soft drink.
Jim L — Google review
My meal was exactly what I expected. I blissfully enjoyed it. It is great when what I ordered. When I finally got to order. Service was a little off putting. I had too ask if I could order. It was my first time at this location as I was just passing through. I do like the price and quality of the menu items.

October 1st we simply could not get served. We wanted to be part of a fundraiser event so we knew it would be crowded. We did call ahead seating at about 5:05. Arrived an checked in about 5:25. We were told they would text us when ready. After sitting outside for awhile we noticed they aren't texting anyone. Just calling names outside the door. By 6:45 we had seen enough people come and go I thought maybe we were missed somehow. So we checked in with the hostess and when she scrolled back over 90 minutes worth of guests to find our name she said, "You'll just have to go outside for a while ". Sort of obvious she was not too concerned about someone being overlooked. 7:05 and still outside it was way passed time to leave and we did.

Eagles Nest Restaurant & Event Venue is a prestigious establishment that has been in operation since 1937. It offers an extensive selection of American cuisine and boasts breathtaking panoramic views. The bar serves a wide range of drinks to complement your meal. A recent visitor and their father both enjoyed the filet with crab imperial, which was flawlessly prepared. The meat's superior quality exceeded their expectations compared to other restaurants. Additionally, the desserts were outstandingly delicious.
We selected this restaurant for a ladies' night with friends, and we were definitely not let down. I ordered the BBQ salmon salad entrée, and I loved every single bite. The white peach cosmo I ordered was equally delightful. Our waiter, Tyler, was incredibly attentive and brought a great sense of humor to our table, which made for a fun experience. The atmosphere and service were exceptional—definitely a solid 10/10. I can't wait to return and try the fisherman’s risotto; I tasted a bit from a friend's plate, and it was absolutely delicious!

Our first time out to the Eagles Nest, billed as a York institution. Thumbs up on the signature martini. The food nearly matched and would have made it but for the steaks and seafood coming out warm not hot. Kept them from a 5-star. Will give them another try for sure.

I have enjoyed every bite of food I’ve ever had here. The menu is expansive, yet everything I’ve had has been perfect; from steaks to seafood to salads. The staff is phenomenal; attentive and friendly, and the owners and chef are hands-on and will often check in to see how your visit is going. All of that is enough to keep me going back, but the icing on the cake is the beautiful views - as a lifelong York resident, I would posit that it’s the best view in town. I was there last evening for a special 4-course dinner/wine tasting event, and I’m pretty sure that meal was among the best I have ever eaten. The entertainment was perfect with Adriano on the piano - he provided the perfect vibe for the evening. I highly recommend checking out Eagles Nest - you will not be disappointed!

We've driven past this restaurant a hundred times and finally decided to stop in for a weekday lunch. It exceeded my expectations and I am sorry we never stopped in earlier! Much more elegant that I had anticipated. Lovely diverse menu, great view, nice atmosphere. The lone waiter there that day was so busy but he was friendly and attentive. Lastly the food was wonderful: I had the grilled Romaine salad and the Reuben sandwich. Hubby had the crab soup and steak dip au jus. All delicious. Looking forward to returning, it's definitely in our rotation now!

Stopped here for lunch Couple weeks ago for lunch, food was amazing! Ciarra was our server, she was really nice and friendly. My wife & I said we will be back next time we pass through again!

The portions were very good. The downfall was when the burgers came out the buns were saturated in grease. The fries tasted as they were cooked in fish grease. The appetizer of mozzarella sticks was the best part of the entire meal. We ordered a sweet tea and it came out as a Lipton tea that was made as a fountain drink. Not very appealing to a customer that is not familiar with the diner. My wife decided to do a flight of Bloody Mary and the bartender was doing an interview so she had to wait for that to be completed before being able to enjoy it. She said that they were not the best, as it tasted like they skimped on the alcohol. We had our daughter with us and they did not even ask us if we needed a kids menu, they just assumed that she would order off the adult menu. We will not be back and I would not recommend this place if you don’t know it.

I ignored one of my rules though; never order anything "Market $" I paid $31 for a single crabcake smaller than the palm of my hand! However, it was possibly the best crab cake I've ever had. Everything my friend had was delicious also, and cooked perfectly. Great selection of beers!

This was our 1st time eating at Stone Grille while visiting our daughter at York College. We were there about 1pm (lunch hours) 1st off, our waitress was awesome, simply top-notch, and never left us waiting for anything. The food was extremely good. Our daughter's 10oz steak was cooked perfectly and very well seasoned, I had their fish and chips. (Haddock) It was fantastic and a thick cut too. My wife had the chicken caesar salad, and she absolutely loved it. They have an arsenal of beers on tap if that's your desire. The atmosphere was very casual and really laid back. I recommend Stone Grille and Taphouse to all. It's definitely going to be a must stop for us when visiting our daughter in York, PA.

This place was pretty good overall. The food was top notch. The chowder mix was fantastic, the tacos were great, and even the buffalo chicken wrap was good. Fries were crispy and delicious. Drinks were a bit steep, and took forever to arrive at the table. Like 8 minutes per round, and our small family was one of maybe 4 sets of diners in the place. That’s really the only gripe.

Went to the restaurant tonight with a group. (Had reservations.). After an hour, when everyone else had been served and was nearly finished eating, we still hadn’t received our food. The server kept telling us that the kitchen was working on it. (We ordered a burger and a wrap.). After an hour and a half and two trips to see what was going on, we cancelled our order. Neither the “manager” nor the server apologized or anything. Someone needs to get their servers trained and kitchen in order!!

Update 4/23. G Cook the damn pizza. It has great flavor but the soft, uncooked doughy crust sucks! **UPDATE 12/18. The former owner sold or retired from here so I went back to give it another try. Place had a very different vibe. Had a beer and some appetizers and enjoyed it. I'll be back to give dinner a try soon. ***So back for another visit almost a year later, 1/2020. Early on a Thursday around 330. Bartender was wonderful and food was great. We did keep it simple with our food choices. But burgers were very good. Decent happy hour specials. Solid place for dinner and drinks.

Great food menu. We love this place because David is making sure everything is running smooth and he wants to make sure everyone is happy. Food is always delicious. By the way they have an outside garden dinning area which you can enjoy your dinner.Me personally with this covid-19 I eat out side till it gets cold. Beautiful restaurant and awesome service.

This french restaurant was a nice surprise! I had a side salad, scalliops in a creamy sauce with rice, and creme brulee. All was very good, with the exception of the rice which was a bit dry. My daughter had frog legs which were a little greasy and could have been a little crispier but had a good taste. She had the duck legs, red potatoes and mixed vegetables, all of which she really enjoyed, especially the duck which she thought was delicious! Nice atmosphere, waitress was nice but could have been more attentive to our needs. All in all a good experience and we would go back!

Overall, fish was kinda bland but the sauce was delicious and really carried the meal in terms of flavor as a whole. The asparagus was also good... probably because it was so close to the sauce haha. My friends also enjoyed their meals and the staff was very friendly.

I am not a sophisticated foodie type so describing the flavor palette is not my forte. With that caveat out of the way, you should know the meal tasted incredible and the portion sizes were fair. I topped my meal off with and incredible piece of mango blueberry cheesecake. Yum! Diane took very good care of us. Thank you!

Dined here New Years Eve. The service was excellent. Our waiter was outstanding. Our party had the red snapper, duck confit, chicken Parisian, and lobster ravioli. My dish was the duck and it was great. I also tried the others and they were all good. Looking forward to visiting again.

The Blue Heron is a shining star in the local food community. This quaint gem is easily missed if you're not looking for it, so make sure to be intentional about getting here. My wife and I were visiting my parents in town (we're from the Memphis area) and stopped in for a date night. Worth it. The service was excellent, very attentive but unobtrusive. My wife is somewhat of a French food enthusiast, having lived in Lille for 6 months) and commented that the Blue Heron had the best French food she's had in the US (and she's eaten around) We had a brie appetizer with green apples which I'm feeling hungry thinking about right now. For entrees I had the mussels and my wife had a surf and turf (fillet and shrimp). Both were perfectly prepared and generous in portion size (we couldn't finish sadly.) On top of all of this, Blue Heron is very reasonably priced for the quality and I'd suggest anyone in the area check it out. We like it enough we're sending my parents there for their anniversary.

The food was delicious when it eventually arrived. We had a very large party of 13 people. Our food arrived before our drink drinks. Our server was kind and friendly however he did need assistance and no one jumped into assist. Based off of that level of service, I’d have to say I would not be returning.

Restaurant
Quaker Steak & Lube is a casual chain known for its American menu featuring chicken wings and a variety of spicy sauces. The restaurant has an automotive-themed decor, making it a unique dining experience. Customers have praised the attentive service and welcoming staff, as well as the diverse menu options. From well-seasoned steaks to garden salads, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The atmosphere is lively with interesting decor that adds to the overall dining experience.
Quaker Steak is always great. I grew up near the original near Sharon, PA. The food here is just as good. The wings were great. Onion rings are the best I ever had over anywhere else (other restaurants than Quaker Steak) and I always get the onion rings. Sauces are awesome. Flavor options are out of this world. My favorite go to is Louisiana Lickers. Golden Garlic is great, but I keep going back to LA Lickers. I don't care who else claims that has "best wings". Quaker Steak is always best wing's USA. I always order an Arnold Palmer to drink. Always. They manually squeeze the lemons. The deco is retro race aesthetic and there's plenty of history to draw on. Race cars on the wall. Harley motorcycles from the ceiling. We drove out of our way an hour to stop here. It's always like that. Stop here if you love chicken wings and you won't regret it. I almost got into an argument once over chicken wings. Someone asked me who had the best chicken wings and I said that I knew exactly who had the best, and he got really cocky and said, oh who is that that? I said Quaker Steak and Lube and he looked at me and said, "yeah, you're right". Lol 😂
Christopher B — Google review
Wow! Only 2 of us visited here for the first time, and it certainly didn't disappoint! Reasonably-priced sandwiches, steaks and appetizers with LOTS to choose from on the menu. Quaker had motorcycles, car and racing memorabilia, and even a pristine, drivable Corvette up on a platform to sit under! The atmosphere was really interesting and cool, but we wanted to try the food. I had a surprisingly unexpected cheese steak with a salad. It had pieces of real steak instead of the slivers that you see elsewhere and because I was expecting that kind of meat, I ordered it just as I would have historically, rather than as it was described on the menu. I would certainly buy this sandwich again sometime. It was seasoned perfectly and very tender. We also had the cheese curds - tasty and unusual - 2 inch cubes of cheese, which were put on some of the sandwiches three at a time! We enjoyed our time there very much and look forward to trying new things next time.

We nibbled on our food because we paid for it. But no one at the table liked their food. The waitress was rough around the edges and her demeanor caught my daughter off guard. My daughter mentioned it to me and said she was too scared to order her food because the waitress was too brash. The waitress softened up as the meal time went along. We won’t be back. There were flies and gnats around the tables, too. The manager did come over after the waitress asked why I didn’t want a box and took off my meal.

We had Abbie as our server and she was just phenomenal, to the point where I wanted to leave a good review for her. She had such a great, friendly personality and had us laughing through out our lunch. I worked in food service for 15+ years and she is someone I would have loved to have had on my team at any point in time. Food was delicious, pricing was also really great. Menu had a lot of really good options. We had wings and the fried pickles, everything was excellent.

Alex was our waitress tonight and was an absolute joy to talk to and took great care of us. The food was excellent and came out quickly, hot, and delicious. Olive Garden Italian Restaurant is a vibrant and family-friendly dining destination that serves up classic Italian dishes, including an array of pastas and fresh salads. Many guests rave about the attentive service they receive, with standout servers like Amy and Sean making their visits memorable through their friendly demeanor and willingness to accommodate requests. While some diners have noted occasional delays in service or mix-ups with orders, the overall experience remains positive thanks to the delicious food offerings.
We are from East fruitland and for our anniversary my wife wanted to go to the Olive garden. Okay I'm okay with that. But I want to mention that our server whose name was Sean, discount man was absolutely incredible. He is there for every need that we had. There was also a super- friendly young girl in training who also was absolutely phenomenal. When Sean wasn't Right there, she was. Both of these kids well to me anybody under 50s a kid, deserve one heck of a pat on the back for the way they treated the customers, put out the food, and timed everything perfectly so that as we finish our appetizers, our salads were there and ready. After we finished our salads, about 1 minute pass before our entrees came out. Didn't load our table with all kinds of junk so that we couldn't even move. They waited until each portion of our order was complete before they brought out the next. Great job you guys. My best to both of you and I'm so sorry to the young lady that I did not remember her name.

Ok folks, let me tell you tale of our experience at the OG. This night started with a trip to Lowes to purchase a new throne for our abode it gonna be awesome! We became hungry, and our plan was to hit the lyndon diner for some diner grub. However, the truck veered right and into the parking lot of OG we landed. Now, let's be clear. It is OG, and our expectations were not high going into this venture, so with that being said, we continued on. It was busy, so we sat at one of the high tops by the bar because we were hungry and the wait was 20 minutes. We got there at about 6. The bar was not busy, and I noticed there was one bartender behind the bar at prime time grub time. Now, here is where things go downhill, we got our water, which we ordered and placed our order for calamari, 3 meat manicotti and stuffed chicken marsala, the bartender took our order and we waited and waited and waited and waited. Meanwhile, the only bartender at the bar has been filling orders from the dining room on BOTH side of the bar, running back and forth, clearing tables around the bar area, trying to make everyone happy and let me tell you MacKenzie F was ripping and tearing. We finally got our calamari 30 minutes later. With help from MacKenzie giving the kitchen hell, and then came the entrée. One word, NOPE! Long story short, the calamari was like it came out of a crucible, and the entrée looked like undercooked Chimichangas. We were comped with a dessert and a gift card, which we used immediately, because we will not be back. If I could give this place a zero, I would totally sucked. 5 stars for MacKenzie F she was working so hard and was trying to do all she could to make everyone happy in the bar and dining room. She needs a raise, OG! Thanks, MacKenzie, for all you did. we appreciate your hard work. Your rock girl!!

I haven’t been to Olive Garden in years! My husband and I had an early dinner/late lunch and Tony was our wonderful server. Very nice experience. ;)

Our server Jason was very fast and kind. The place was busy, and at first I was given the wrong food but very quickly it was fixed. The salad tasted a little off, but the rest of the food made up for it. The food is expensive, but it's good. Definitely coming back here some time.

Service was very slow tonight. Food came out with 2 wrong meals out of 6, they did quickly get us new meals but it took double the time to get the meals in the first place. Food was good but portions definitely have become smaller and food prices have increased. Our bill was $200 for our family of 6 before tip. Just visited here while staying a night at the Quality Inn, they had great reviews online. I was hoping I'd have a great experience aswell. When my party of 4 arrived we were seated immediately with no wait time. The booth we were seated in had very dim lighting so we requested a seat across the room. The waiter who serviced us was promt in asking about the drinks we wanted and in the midst let us know that he didn't speak English! How are you connected to a hotel with a number of multicultural guest every day coming and going and have staffing that can't speak the language waiting on tables? Needless to say, ordering everything took more time than it should have because we had to repeat/reiterate/point to the menu quite often for 4 people! The drinks were made quickly and the wait time for food wasn't bad either. The drinks were good 8/10. The food was ok just not what I expected 7/10

Not a great experience. There was a huge hair in my drink. When brought to their attention there was no apology, just came back to ask how the food was. The food tasted good. However, I asked to sub the sweet potato fries with rice, which I got, but they didn’t give me the beans that should’ve went with my meal. The music was loud. The waiter was not personable. The seat cushions need some TLC. Not an establishment that I will recommend or go back to.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a popular American restaurant that offers delicious comfort food and has an on-site general store. It is conveniently located with ample parking. The staff at this chain eatery are known for being friendly and helpful to all customers, including large groups of older women. The server provided excellent service by patiently addressing repeated inquiries and ensuring the ladies had everything they needed. The restrooms were well-maintained and fully stocked.
This is the Campfire Chicken. I highly recommend this dish. Yum yum An awesome server who engaged in chit chat. My wife had the Campfire shrimp skillet. She said hers was delicious, except for the small portion. If they would serve a bigger portion and raise the price to 14.99 it would really be worth it. Five stars from us for a good meal for a good price.

We visited the Cracker Barrel store today but didn't have time to eat. The store is amazing and has all kinds of great stuff. They have gifts, holiday items, great clothes, fun old time candies, and so much more. We bought several things, such as a long crocheted vest, plus I bought my 89 year old mother a gorgeous angel lamp for her birthday! The vest was on sale for $12, the lamp was $80 as it is a new Christmas item. They gave me free batteries for it, which was nice. The store is fun and you should check it out!

If I could give zero stars I would . I order from other Cracker Barrel’s often and I never had my chicken and dumplings like this . It was just boiled chicken tenders and dumplings with no. Sauce . The green beans are greasy and taste like it was covered in bacon fat the meatloaf was bland and the tater tot casserole was hard and greasy . Everything was bland

This location usually seats you in a timely manner. Waitresses seem to be always pleasant and accommodating. Food has been temperature appropriate and flavorful. The only negative I notice is the lack of cleanliness in restrooms...and windows in dining area need attention as do the open AC/heating baseboards along walls.

I came to this Cracker Barrel yesterday hoping for a different experience compared to the experience I had about a month ago when I came in and I am glad I did. I was seated quickly by the hostess and greeted promptly by the server. My wife and I came in about an hour before close and received nothing but kindness and attentiveness from our server, Sabrina. We asked Sabrina for her recommendations of what was good on the menu and her recommendations did not disappoint. The fried chicken tenders, while a classic, were delightful, and the campfire beef was as well. However, they were out of carrots when I came in, but as I said we were coming in pretty close to close. Aside from that I had a wonderful experience and will most definitely be returning again in the future.

This Cracker Barrel has truly stepped up their game! We were greeted by a very friendly host and sat right away. Shortly after, our waitress, Emma R, greeted us and got our drinks. Everything was quick and phenomenal. I got the meatloaf with green beans and mac and cheese and it was so flavorful. Their corn muffins are my favorite though! Emma was very sweet, friendly, and attentive! Their gift shop also has a large variety to choose from and it is cheaper than most other places!

Decided to give this place a try to just treat myself for the end of the week. For the truckers, you do need a permit to be able to stay in the parking lot. Simply go to the diner and you need to spend some money on the food and they will give you a permit. Food was alright but nice and hot. Definitely had a better breakfast with some flavor to it. Would I try it again? Probably not a chance unless I need a place to park.

I had the pleasure of being served by this amazing young man during my recent visit, and I couldn't have been more impressed. From the moment we walked in, he was friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. Even when we had a small issue with a drink, he handled it quickly and with a smile—no fuss, no attitude, just genuine hospitality. He kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing, and you could tell he truly cared about providing a great experience. It's rare to find someone who balances friendliness and efficiency so effortlessly. The restaurant was clean, the food was great, but the service? Truly next level. I hope management sees this—he deserves to be recognized for how well he represents the team. Give this guy a raise! Best server at 83!!!

Dinner was 5 star, and breakfast was about 3.5. It was one of the best meals I've had. Liver and onions? Two good size pieces with fresh onions 😋 Great seasoning. Mashed 🥔 with gravey. Corn dessert ? Wow, that was really amazing! Sue was the waitress and she is wonderful ! Everything was perfectly cooked. A lot of food and took 1/2 my meal to go.. Fresh cakes and desserts in the front display cases. Everything seems reasonably priced. Morning, didn't open on time, stated they open to their clock, but the lock behind them on the wall showed past 6am. Waited at the door for about 10 minutes. 😆 😂 Service just wasn't that good. Hashbrowns/ potatoes stated like all cooking oil with no flavor. Omelet was delicious.

One of the few that gets 5☆'s across the board! Definitely earned, whoever chose the staff did a great job and found all the right qualities! Tina the hostess was amazing. She engaged in conversation, she showed a sense of urgency and concern for the customer, and she treated me like an actual person! She put my needs before hers and made them a priority...she also has a great sense of humor. Denise my server did the same thing and made me feel the same way! Very professional I must say, very well-spoken! I'm from South Texas and I didn't expect to be treated and welcomed as if I was a local..thank you guys very much. The meal was delicious and it was prepared in a very timely manner, it was still smoking when I got it....oh yeah, and for truckers, your meal expense goes toward your parking permit ☆UPDATE☆ I returned for dinner and I can't say enough about the food and service... homemade BBQ sauce, homemade mashed potatoes, and gravy. This is one of those spots that's hard to come across, oh and this time my server/manager was Tonya, NOW I know where Denise and Tina get their good attitude, expertness, and kindness! The cherry on top was the price total for my half rack of ribs and two sides with a sweet tea! Most definitely returning!!

Esaan Thai Restaurant is a vibrant BYO spot that truly captures the essence of authentic Thai cuisine. Known for its delightful 5-course set menu, this family-owned gem also offers homemade gelato and sorbet in an array of flavors, making it a standout among local Asian eateries. The head chef, Jai Delp, emphasizes the joy of cooling down your palate with these sweet treats after enjoying their spicy dishes.
Food was amazing. The bang bang Brussels were so delicious I wanted to order more. The peanut noodle stir fry was so flavorful. I had the laab and the spring ills as well as the green papaya salad. Highly recommend this place. It is a small family owned restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in describing the food. It was also very affordable for such fresh food. Everything is only marked if it has gluten, as most Thai food is gluten free. Plenty of delicious options to choose from. Plus you can get Italian gelato by the pint!

Best Thai food ever. Too bad their on a new limited schedule, with limited food choices now. But they used to be Absolutely AMAZING 🤩. Whoever owns it allow their family members to have it open when there to tired too. We all miss Essan's famous food. Hopefully we can go back to the M-F and Great Lunch and Dinner options.

This was my third stop here and as usual I was impressed. The staff is super friendly and very helpful explaining things on the menu. They always make recommendations that are delicious. Everything from my drink all the way up until the entree was great. The flavor of the food is perfect. They ha e different levels of how hot you can get it. If you ask for level 10 you better be prepared to break a little sweat, it is good for the soul. Highly recommend this spot for quality Thai food here in York near the center of the city.

Little Pricey for some items, But never disappointed with the taste and portions Other than the Gelato $4-small that leaves me wanting more even when I know I am too full. Tuesday's I go for the Pad Thai Lunch Special its only $7 and my go to App is definitely the Brussel Sprouts $5. Can't forget about the yummy Thai Tea/Bubble Tea $3. (Not Every Item is on the menu) Small dining area but with the music and large window out-looking the street gives it a serene atmosphere with laid back vibes. Friendly Staff/Service. At times it can be crowded from the limited seating.

Exactly what you would expect from a food-chain restaurant. Consistent food, regardless of the location. I love their flavored lemonade b/c it’s not just syrup. Broke from the traditional New York strip, and was not disappointed . You can’t go wrong with the house, salad and corn on the cob. Plenty of TVs around to watch sporting events and wasn’t too crowded. Nice way to wind down and end the day out.

They messed up my order last month, Feb. 28th. They undercooked 3 meals (2 steak & 1 burger)..the manager said he would give me a gift card for a total of all 3 meals, but I NEVER RECEIVED IT!! I just wanted MONEY REFUND to my account, but the manager REFUSED.

My experience here was a bit of a mixed bag.The restaurant has a good vibe and the food was decent, but there were some noticeable service hiccups. My order was unfortunately mixed up when it arrived. Furthermore, my steak was cooked to medium, despite a clear request for medium rare. I believe this is a decent spot with potential, and every place has room for improvement. I hope this feedback is taken constructively."

We celebrated our 16th anniversary here and it was fantastic. Our waiter was phenomenal and the food was delicious! Keep up the great work!! We will be back!!!

Food was good, ambiance was nice. Waitress was ok. Unfortunately what killed it for me was that it was dirty. Straw wrappers and crumbs and napkins all over. Dust on everything like the lights over/on the booth. Huge puddle of something along next to the hostess stand that the employees were just walking around and ignoring. Menus had food residue on them. My first and probably last time at longhorn if they take care of them like that.

This is my first and last time at this particular Long Horn. So my friend and I can in sat at the bar ordered a couple of drinks, then placed our order to go. While waiting for our food we noticed that the bartender/waitress Jordan never checked on us or let us know the status of order. She only checked on the couple next to us. When she came out and brought our order to us she said "will that be all?" We would have order another drink but Jordan never gave eye contact or checked on us. She did apologize but it was not sincere.

This charming spot offers a cozy, diner-like atmosphere where guests can feel instantly at ease. The staff are known for their friendliness and efficiency, making every visit enjoyable whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout.
The staff were prompt at greeting us & offering a seating selection even though we just needed to order food to go. They are extremely friendly & helpful in answering our questions in regards to meal selection. Our food was prepared in a very reasonable amount of time and was in very plentiful portions.

My order was from takeout so the service and atmosphere are irrelevant in this case. I ordered a LARGE chop cheese steak Stromboli and no EXTRA dipping sauce. What I received was no larger than a sub in size and even less in filling and not a single cup of sauce. I have ordered from here on numerous occasions and this is not what we have received in the past. I tried calling numerous times and cannot even get through to talk to someone so that’s what led me to leave a review.

The restaurant felt old and in need of a make over. The food was fair, the shrimp in a basket was tiny shrimp that should have been an embarrassment to serve. The eggplant was so hot temperature wise it had to have been microwaved. It was 90 % spaghetti and 10% eggplant. The salad was the only good thing I was served. The marinara sauce was bitter. The server was superb. Very disappointing experience.

A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Italy in the Heart of York County! On my way to New York, I stumbled upon a charming Italian home style restaurant tucked away in York—and what a delightful surprise it was! I tried the Chicken Marsala, and it absolutely blew me away. The flavors were rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced—true to the soul of Italian cooking. The portion size was generous, perfect for a satisfying meal. The cozy, inviting décor instantly made me feel at home. Having visited Italy several times, I can honestly say this place captures the heart and warmth of authentic Italian cuisine. A must-visit for anyone who loves good food and great ambiance!

Great little informal Italian restaurant! The vibe is like that of a diner. The staff were very kind, helpful, and efficient. Our main pasta dishes were excellent, as well as the starter Cesar salad and broccoli-cheddar soup. Those get 5 stars. The garlic bread was dry, hard, and mostly flavorless. It's unfortunate, because the loaf of bread from which it was made was probably fresh and delicious at some point. Probably would have been better to serve a sliced loaf of fresh bread along with butter. If you're looking for spectacular pizza, this is not the place--but it gets the job done! It was very greasy as you can see in the photo, and there is not much crisp, crunch, or leoparding to the crust. Though the slices did hold their structure and did not droop from the weight. On the scale where "everybody knows the rules", I give it 6.7 out of 10.

Employees were very nice. Pizza however was a disappointment. Not very flavorful. I don't like Domino's but I think I would've preferred that over the pizza we got here. Certainly felt that the $21+ for it given the taste was way too much.

Ordered delivery. This place has fallen off the map. I moved to the area about 10 years ago. We used to get this all the time, and it was solid. Nothing over the top great, but worth it. Over the last 2 years, it has drastically decreased in quality as the prices increased. Tonight was definitely the last time I'll eat from here. Food is bland, overcooked, and just plain old sad. The sub was soggy like a diaper and falling apart. The salad was wilted. Served the core of the sliced tomatoes. My kid got a hot dog that was a quarter of the size of the roll it was in. I understand ordering food for delivery that the quality is not the same as when eating at the restaurant. However, in this case, I don't think the quality would have been much better. Never again will I spend $70 on low quality food for a family of 4 from here.

A beautiful old building attached to York’s Central Farmer’s Market on Cherry Lane. The perfect day for alfresco dining this early evening. If you are a beer aficionado, this is your place. , I prefer a light, sweet cocktail. The Orange Creamsicle has the right amount of sweetness. The Fish Hook sandwich on a brioche bun -is delicious. Nice location right next to central market downtown and fun decor/atmosphere inside. My daughter loves this place she calls it the "chicken nuggie and chess restaurant" cause they have the best chicken tenders and they have tables with chess/checker boards on them and pieces in drawers you can play with. The beer is good, the bartender provides great service every time, and their weekly specials are insane. $2 tacos, $5 steak quesadillas, $2 beers???? gtfo. If you go out to eat regularly downtown and Mudhook is not in your rotation idk what you're thinking.

Stopped in while visiting from Delaware to check out the York brewery scene. The place has a really cool layout. The is outdoor seating with sand, kind of going for a beach scene effect. Inside is a lot of brick and wood which fits with the area. The person behind the bar was very friendly and willing to make recommendations. The beer was average overall but the burger and fries were very good. If you are looking for a cool place to hang with friends then give this place a look.

Nestled in Lancaster, PA, El Rodeo is a charming family-owned restaurant that specializes in serving up traditional Mexican cuisine. With a menu brimming with mouthwatering options like sizzling fajitas, handmade tamales, enchiladas, and tacos, this eatery promises an authentic dining experience. Guests rave about the deliciousness of their dishes—especially the addictive chips and salsa—and many recommend saving room for dessert to indulge in their delightful Mexican fried ice cream.

Service has always been incredible here but the food has become "generic". It's not bad, by far, it's not necessarily bland or overly boring...it's just not worth 5 stars. The salsa recipe has went downhill lately but with food costs so high, I can understand. We'll continue to go back for authentic Mexican cuisine...if it's on the way.

Everything was good. No complaints. That said I'm not an expert on Mexican food. I might even say affordable for all we got. Don't know what everyone had but I got the seafood chimichanga. Didn't get photos of everything, we were to hungry. Also I heard there were new owners of recent and staff if you were there before and had a bad experience.

Stopped for an early dinner and was able to get seated without waiting. Chips and salsa were not anything to write home about. I am not a raw onion fan and there were plenty of them in the salsa. Ordered steak Fajitas with no peppers. Got plenty of onions in place or the peppers. Steak was flavored well. Beans had a totally different taste I have ever tasted. Was a nice surprise and went well with the dinner.Price was comparable for the portions. Server was more worried about talking with coworkers rather than his customers. Walked by several times without a word. Ran out of water and had to distract him from talking to get my check.
Jim L — Google review
Came here for my sister's birthday dinner, ended up very disappointed. I ordered the chicken fajitas with cheese and ended up with a worker's BRACELET in my food, covered in cheese. I got the attention of a worker, who then took the food, apologized once and said I would get another meal shortly. Less than a minute later, a "new" meal came out. I attempted to ask the man if this was going to be on the bill, which he ignored me. I barley ate any of the meal with how disgusted I was with the improper handling of food, negligence, and how quickly a new meal arrived. Once the check arrived at the table, the chicken fajitas were on the bill. It was questioned why to the server, which then the manager came over and asked what the issue was. We explained the situation to then get the response of "well you got a new fresh meal". I hardly touched the plate the entire dinner... we did eventually get the chicken fajitas taken off of the bill after poor customer service.

We have been eating here for about 20 years. The food and service is excellent. Everyone we have ever brought with us loves it and in all those years we have never had a bad meal. The food even travels well. On the few occasions we have done takeout it’s been just as good.

Their enchiladas Rancheros was not bad. The Sweet Paradise Margarita had a little much alcohol in it. Overall, the enchiladas rancheras could have used a little more moist sauce but it wasn't too bad. It was on par with an average dish from an average restaurant. I would eat here again.

I’m curious as to what they added to the seafood Newburgh to make it orange. It definitely wasn’t old bay which probably would have been an improvement. Wasn’t expecting salad shrimp in it and I did expect more than a sliver of a scallop, if it was scallop at all. The rice was just gross. Chicken Parmesan sandwich is a chicken patty instead of a fried chicken breast, as one expects with chicken parm sandwiches. They toasted the bread but somehow the bread was floppy and soggy instead of crisp? How does that happen? Chef was asking the waitress questions about cooking when it’s his job to cook and hers to serve. Can’t imagine that’s a good sign. I’m not sure if this place has good reviews bc old folks have low standards and the place was full of seniors or if York is just a bad place for food and folks here just don’t know it. I haven’t had a good meal in this town yet. The bathroom was spotless and they were kind enough to take the sandwich off the bill as it was inedible. I did appreciate that. Also our waitress was very kind so they get stars for that but I’d rather have bad service with amazing food than vice versa.

BEWARE!! My car was sideswiped while I was inside having Breakfast!! My breakfast was terrible! I ordered two eggs home fries and toast. The home fries were so salty I could not eat them. My eggs were dripping with oil on them. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I then leave the restaurant, get home and see that my car had been sideswiped while I was at the restaurant. I tried calling the restaurant to let them know and see if they have any cameras and no one will answer the phone.

Very good overall diner experience! Large restaurant with plenty of parking. Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm and there was still a 5-10 min wait... popular place! Lots of people coming in and out. Hostess did a nice job getting us seated. Menu is huge and there's daily specials. So many options! Food was delicious, portions were large and prices were reasonable. Homemade muffins! We decided to give Stonybrook a try instead of our go to diner (down the road in hellam). Our waitress was rushed & stressed & not very friendly or welcoming. She kind of rushed us through ordering and then scolded my friend when she said she wanted the same breakfast special as me but just for her eggs to be cooked different and a different type of bread for her toast. The server annoyingly scolded my friend saying “well that’s not the same thing then!” And she actually rolled her eyes, huffed and ripped her check paper off to write a new order down. We sat for a while talking and catching up as old friends and she did not seem pleased with that & rather annoyed asking if we needed anything else …instead of refilling our coffees. At first, I had already planned on in my mind to tip her more (knowing we sat for longer and she might have been able to have another breakfast customer & their tip money as well) but she went out of her way to be rude and dismissive. Our food was ok, but we will stick with Hellamshire down the road for better service where they actually make you feel welcome and appreciated.

The food is very good but I only gave it 4 stars due to the fact that they , and other local restaurants, have switched to farmers choice ketchup which tastes like unseasoned tomato paste. I’m not normally one to even leave a review but the service was so poor I felt the need to share. There was trash and old plates from customers I hadn’t even seen all over the bar. That would have been okay if maybe they were busy. But the bar tender was so busy texting and talking to others she never made me a second drink, even after I specifically asked for another when I got my food! My burger came out well done I asked for medium rare and the first batch of fries were cold. Atleast they respected the gluten free, and another server ended up bringing me my food cause the bar tender was Mia….. again. My bar tenders name was Michka. Shame Red Robin is typically great.

Food was COLD. Portions were very small. They advertised bottomless sides but that doesn’t mean anything if the waitress doesn’t ask if you want more! My burger was very small and cold. The fries were cold. My wife ordered a fish sandwich that hardly had any fish on it (see picture). Picture shows fish sandwich with 2 bites taken out of it. She took it home to eat so she could heat it up. We were charged $15 for that sandwich. A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. This location in York, PA should be closed if this continues. FOLLOW UP: reached out to Red Robin customer service. They said that the restaurant would contact me. NO ONE EVER CONTACTED ME.

I VERY rarely leave negative reviews. My daughter and I went here tonight and everything from the service to the food was awful. It took over 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the server. He took our drink order and food order at the same time. I got my drink and my daughter's drink came after the food came out. Our food was cold and the featured burger I ordered was missing ingredients that made it appealing to order. We didnt have silverware or napkins given to us so my 8 year old daughter ate her food with the tooth pic skewer that was in hers piece by piece and I waited until the server acknowledged us 10-15 minutes after getting our food to eat mine. Which was super cold at that point. Never again.

Service was ridiculously slow. Took almost an hour after ordering to get our food and once we did it was all cold, very small portions of their "bottomless" sides (had definitely been sitting, at one point our server stated they were plating our food but it didnt come for another 15 minutes) and the order was wrong. Server said she'd get the kitchen to get us a remake quickly and it never came out. We asked to speak to a manager. Another 20 minutes go by and server comes back saying she assumes the manager came by and "fixed" everything. It was another 10 minutes until the manager finally came. He offered to not charge us the incorrect food we never got the remake of and thay was it. Never asked if we needed refills. When leaving the restaurant was dirty. At least 5 unbussed tables but 5 servers at the host stand chatting. Will never go back.

I've been going here since I was a kid. The food is amazing. The owner truly cares about his customers and his business. I've never had a meal I didn't like and we always brought friends and family here to eat. We now live 450 miles away and still come here to eat when we're back in the area.

MID. Totally middle of the road. Edible, but not enjoyable. Our waitress MADE us wait forever, she INSISTED on waiting for 1 person from our party to come off of a phone call outside before she would give us the "it's your 1st time here and this is how we do it" speech (we insisted that 7 of us not wait for 1 and we would clue him in upon his arrival). We sat in an almost empty restaurant at 3pm waiting for her to take drink orders, but then waited another 30 minutes for those drinks (2 were forgotten). Another 20 minutes before she returned to take the orders. When we asked for the offering of chips and salsa (which is the FIRST line on the top of their menu) we were told that once all of the orders were placed we would be allowed our chips. Our waitress who was not busy with other tables seemed EXTREMELY overwhelmed with work and underwhelmed with our presence. We waited AGAIN for almost an hour for our disappointing food to arrive. When the bill was dropped she mentioned briefly that there were staff call outs and they were short staffed... But this seemed more like a "tip grab apology" than a sincere explanation. 10/10 would not recommend.

The staff here is always amazing and the same for the food. Whenever I'm in York, I have a craving for their fresh salsa and chips!

Food was amazing, but the menu was small and the choices were pricey. Some plates ranging 20 to 25 each, others almost 30. Staff was very nice. I was making a quick choice for food, so my fault for not checking pricing ahead of the meal.

Our favorite Mexican/Peruvian restaurant. Great food, authentic recipes, the BEST chicken fajitas I've ever had! And now they have Pisco ... a Peruvian liquor that goes with everything.
Karl L — Google review
This was the first time we tried this restaurant. We had several people tell us how great the food was here so we decided to give it a try. From the beginning, we were disappointed. The person at the front who greeted us couldn’t be bothered to ask us how many people were in our group, instead, he just gestured with his fingers one or two. And he looked annoyed by us coming in. the service was good until we placed our order. After that, we did not see our server until our food came out after a very long time. The food was very bland and just OK. My wife’s dish, Lomito, had very little seasoning. The bean and egg stuff that came with it was not very good. My dish, pollo fundido, was basically just a grilled chicken breast with some cheese wrapped up in a tortilla, and some kind of white sauce was on the top. It came with rice and beans that were not very flavorful. Also, we never saw our server after that. We had to ask another member of the staff to find our server. I felt that it was expensive for the type of food that we received. Overall, we are not going to return here. And my wife, who is Peruvian, was very dissatisfied and felt that this restaurant does not best represent Peruvian cuisine.
Dave H — Google review
My husband's Peruvian pork chops were sizzling, flavorful and great. My girlfriend's fajitas were sizzling hot and fine. My son's combination dinner was hot and he said great. My fried chicken chimichanga was grilled, tortilla damp, cheese sauce was coagulated, and all of my food was barely tepid. The waitress did offer to have it corrected, but I wasn't waiting another 20+ minutes for food while the rest of my table ate. I ordered fried ice cream for dessert and the coating didn't seem to be cooked, it was frozen solid. We've been there before so I was surprised that my food was so subpar.

It's been years since I've been to the cove. I love what they have done here with the outside dining. Wonderful atmosphere with the water running near by and the wooded area. We ordered appetizers steamed shrimp and mussels and our entrees filet and crabcake combo, and a crab cake. Unfortunately our server brought everything at the same time. I did say i thought that when we said we wanted the shrimp and mussels as our appetizer they would come out as an appetizer and not with the entrees. The waiter said so did i. Our only disapointment of the night. Well that and my crabcake looking smashed. That being said all colossal jumbo lump in the cake and the filet tasted wonderful. We were unable to go to the whiskey bar as it was closed when we went there. The selection of bourbon look extensive.

The cove was a hidden gem I just discovered by accident that has quickly became my go to stop when I'm in York. The creek out back weather permitting is the perfect romantic atmosphere and during these colder months they heat and close.off the outdoor seating area which is also very nice. The inside is always welcoming but I will say is a little in the cold side. Which is nice for a bigger guy like myself.
Derek P — Google review
Presentation on the outside does not match the inside. WOW!!! The inside ambiance was that of a very very high class establishment. The back deck area was even more amazing. The sounds, the lighting, the furniture. All beautiful. The foods presentation was very nice as well. The majority of the food was fantastic tasting, the asparagus was a little under seasoned and undercooked for my liking. Staff was very friendly and on point. Pricing was extremely reasonable.

I haven’t been to the cove in years. It was below average before, nothing special and not very good drinks or food. This time was the complete opposite!! My husband and I went for a spontaneous date last night and the atmosphere was wonderful. It was warm and inviting. I had the best margarita I’ve ever had (and I was a margarita only bartender in New Mexico), the food was excellent and the service was even better. Paul was a wonderful server. This experience caught me by surprise! So glad we gave this place another chance. Whatever you guys did differently- well done! Keep it up! We will definitely be back. I don’t normally write reviews but this was well worth it!

The restaurant was Amazing with the greatest service from Bryna. The food was awesome and her knowledge of the whiskey and other alcohols took me by surprise. All in all, I was not expecting this level of experience. The Whiskey bar section was like nothing I have ever seen. The owners were both down to earth and easy to talk to. I highly recommend everyone to try the place. You will not regret it.
David F — Google review
This place is great. Our waiter was phenomenal and the food was absolutely exquisite, some of the best in York if not the best. The only gripe I have is that I was fully expecting to be able to order from their INSANE whiskey menu, but the room is completely closed out. I understand the person who generally tends to the whiskey bar is out right now, which I completely get. But their website boasts heavily of this feature, and this was a huge reason I wanted to go. A little more transparency or information would be awesome on this on the website, just so I can keep an eye out if it's going to be open or not. To clarify - I have no real problem with this place, the food was absolutely amazing and our waiter was great. But I'm just a little confused with the whiskey bar being very advertised, but only being able to be ordered from if certain people are there. Especially with so few places like this locally, their list is incredible and I'd love to go enjoy it.

Food was amazing. We just got burgers, but dang they were yummy! The fries are like steak fries kindof, and are just perfect. This was a spur of the moment little lunch date with my daughter and I. We will definitely be returning with the rest of the family!!! Waitress wasn't the friendliest, but we had another girl helping us too. It was Friday at 130pm and we were the only guests besides one other elderly couple. I was surprised that I had to sit without a refill on my root beer for so long. The waitress wasn't busy. The waitress had a small attitude which sucked. Overall it was nice! We will go back. Fingers crossed we get a different server

I've given this location multiple attempts before deciding to finally write a review. Unfortunately it is safe to say my results are consistent. If you order ahead be ready to wait an additional 10 minutes at minimum from the time you selected to have your food ready. Don't bother ordering extra wet or twice baked. The photos attached are what they consider extra wet. Again, this is consistent with every order, not just a random fluke. Charge you extra for absolutely no extra sauce or just no sauce at all apparently. Dining in is fine because you can just send the food back, but when you drive home to find this it's not worth the energy to go back and complain.

This place has no quality control. Picture speaks for itself. That's mold on the bun. In plain view. Who sends this out to be eaten? And it's not an isolated occurrence. Every time we give it another chance, the food is poorly made, slapped together, and sometimes inedible. Clearly, their cooks do not care. Done with this place.

Best Stromboli ever. Wings are also good, if they are freshly made. Good selection of beverages. Service was good and very friendly. In the warm weather, this place is too cold, like many restaurants.

Tried to eat here today and was told they only have 1 employee to run the entire busy bar and restaurant and was told by what I assume was a manager that he will be right with me instead of her helping me herself. Food is good here but clearly they need more staff to run properly. Went to Texas roadhouse instead

Definitely didn't like it. Food was a little too salty for my liking. Soda was flat but was told there was nothing wrong. Wings were hotter than I expected and I was advised they were mild

My husband and I ate here Sunday for lunch. We started with onion rings. They tasted good but the breading was a bit gloppy. My husband had the Philly cheese steak with Cole slaw. I had the brunch burger but the first burger came out with the yolk of the egg on it already busted and the I just couldn't eat it. The whole purpose of the egg is for the egg to drip out when you bite into it. I sent it back and got a second burger that was perfect. Good drippy yolk . It was very tasty. Our waiter was great. Very helpful.

We visited this place with an after-work event. The place is a typical sports bar, it is nice and cozy, serves a variety of food and has a selection of tap beers. We ordered two soups - potato and chili, a chopped salad, and some beers - alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The soups were so-so, to be honest, I wish they could serve a slice of bread to them, but the beers and salad were fine. The bill was moderate ~ 20 usd per person. Their staff is very friendly and hard-working. I liked that the place had “healthy” options in their menu, like salads, soups, and non-alcoholic beers. The space is large enough, they had the main room with the bar, billiard table and a lot of tvs with all kinds of shows, another quieter space with larger tables, and also outdoor seating in the private patio that looked quite cozy. Overall this is a nice place.

Isaac's Restaurant - East York is a deli chain that offers a diverse selection of innovative sandwiches, as well as wraps, soups, and salads. They provide catering services for business meetings and are known for their punctuality in delivering orders. The food quality at Isaac's is consistently excellent, making it an appealing alternative to the typical working lunch of pizza. Their sandwich platter and pasta salad are particularly popular choices.
Great experience like always at Isaac's! We've been here many times and at various different locations and always enjoy it. The pepperjack soup is delicious. This time, we got a gumbo special soup and it was so good and flavorful. I got the crab wrap and it was great. Service was friendly as well.

Outstanding service today from Sofia as well as the bird of paradise combo with md crab soup. Everything flavorful and tasty. Thanks for bringing back the liquini salad. I enjoyed my b day lunch.

I would’ve given this location five stars if it wasn’t for the painfully slow service at the end of our visit. It did fill up and was packed by the time we got to that point. We love Issacs for the pepperjack tomato soup. We also enjoy the cheese curds and yummy pickles. I always get Genoa salami and provolone on large French bread. It is one of the “make your own” sandwiches. The food was excellent and perfectly cooked on this visit . The food came out in a short amount of time and was well spaced out between the soup and appetizer. It was after the food was served that our waitress disappeared and it took forever to get finished so we could leave. We actually flagged down another employee.

5 Star Michelin Prices for 35 year deli sandwiches. A ruffled grouse sandwich, side of tortellini salad and lemonade is $27.00 plus a tip $33,00 for lunch for one person. A bit mind boggling don't you think? I can go to Texas Roadhouse get a combo Sirloin, Chicken critter, two sides and rolls and a drink for $23.99 Prices are insane more like NYC or California price.

Good atmosphere, but HORRIBLE and overpriced food! Didn't make it better that the waiter was giggling and making fun of my wife! The diet coke tasted spectacular though. WOULDNT RECOMMEND, 1 STAR!!!!

The sandwiches were pretty good. The waitress didn't write down our order and of course one of the items were wrong. The soup was pretty good. The 1/2 soup 1/2 sandwich combo was a pretty good bargain but if you haven't ever been here, the sandwiches are all named after birds and the explanation of each is on one page of the menu, if you get the 1/2 and 1/2 combo you have to keep flipping over the menu to see which sandwich is which. They also give you a pickle mix at the tables that is pretty good.

Viet Thai Cafe is a vibrant and simple restaurant that serves traditional Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese stir-fry dishes. Despite its limited space, the place was bustling on a Saturday night. When the reviewer called at 6:30 pm, they were informed that the sushi bar had open seating but only accepted three reservations every half an hour. Since they were just five minutes away, this arrangement didn't work out for them.
Best in the area! The general tso's is so flavorful and not a lot of breading but it is nice and crispy. The pad thai is delicious. I recently tried the massaman curry and I could not get enough of it!! So much flavor and fresh ingredients. For dessert I definitely recommend the mango sticky rice!

Usually really good but this time my husband ordered the shank beef. Was really skimpy. Mostly lettuce, very bland in taste and pieces of meat..no whole meat with the ribs included, like the picture. My go to lemon grass chicken is very good but the reviews on the shank beef meal definitely needs to be tweaked.

I came here with a friend for a cheap meal to catch up. I had enough food to feel full after fasting all morning and it cost me $12. I had the Pad La Na, the sauce was very good and the meat had a good finish. Our waitress was quick to help us and checked on us often. I drink a lot of water at restaurants and my glass was always full, probably five glasses by the end of the time. My friend could not decide what to order and her recommendations were helpful, knowledgeable, and concise. The atmosphere was nice, it’s comfortable and casual but doesn’t feel cheap or gross. The booth was comfortable. Overall it was a very good experience and I will definitely be going back.

I really enjoy this place. The food is both delicious and cheap. The customer service is really, really good here though. It's always the small things but when I brought a vegetarian friend, they were very specific to ask if the eggs in their dish were okay or not just based on their order, not because it was said. Even another time previous to that, my dish wasn't what I ordered and it was a quick exchange to what I had ordered. I'm always bringing friends back here.

I’m sad to write this review because we have been eating here since they were a tiny restaurant on W Market, but today I ordered the Thai Mussels and sweet basil and was very disappointed. I get that prices are going up, but 6 mussels, 5 snow peas and some carrots and celery for $15.50. The coconut broth was flavorful, but the mussels tasted old. The chicken in the lettuce wraps was mushy and this is a go to appetizer for us, so we’re familiar with the texture. I’m hoping they just had an off day, but it makes me sad if quantity and quality has been lost at an additional cost.

I've been dining here since it was a little hole in the wall on E. Market. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant and their management. They have produced a consistently high-quality product for over 25 years, and that is a very difficult thing to do. Have used them for catering and special events many times as well. Fujihana is a delightful casual Japanese restaurant that offers an array of mouthwatering dishes, including teriyaki, hibachi meals, udon, and sushi. Nestled in a shopping center with ample parking, it’s easy to access. Upon entering, guests are greeted warmly and can enjoy spacious seating options for dining in. The atmosphere is enhanced by tasteful decor and clean facilities.
The restaurant is in a shopping center so they're is plenty of parking. I was greeted promptly as I entered. I wasn't able to enjoy the show because you need a party of two. Next time I'll just ask the next people arriving if I can sit with them. I was able to get all the Hibachi items at the dinner table, which helped me keep this a five-star review. There was plenty of seating for dining in. They also had a bar with plenty of drinks. The bathroom was clean and the establishment was decorated very nicely.

Hibachi is always a great experience - the entertainment, the yummy meal, and the fire are always amazing. We enjoyed the soup and side salad that come before the meal. Our only disappointment was that the fried rice was an extra charge. Otherwise this was great!

Fujihana is a great place to go if you're craving some hibachi. The food is prepared right in front of you, which is really neat to watch. The chef was a little less unenthusiastic than other chefs I have seen do hibachi, so there was not much of a show, but the food came out great. Expect to pay at least $18 to $20 if you go here for hibachi, but know it is definitely worth it. The food was very tasty and came in large proportion size. It was also served with a side salad and soup. Definitely had to take home a take-out box. Would recommend to a friend!
