Shopping mall
Shopping
The Collection at RiverPark is a contemporary and refined outdoor shopping center that features high-end beauty services and a gourmet food hall. On Saturdays, there is a small farmers market with plenty of interesting products to browse around and shop for. The weather is always pleasant, providing an optimal atmosphere for leisurely strolls through the facility. One can find quality retail stores, restaurants, banking services as well as Target and CVS on site.
Had a good time at the collection. We ate at the yard house for lunch and really enjoyed the food and the consistent service and fun atmosphere. There are plenty of entertainment options at the collection, from an ax throwing bar to bowling, movie theater, stand up comedy, escape rooms. As well as countless variety of restaurants. We will definitely return to the collection.
Alfredo R — Google review
Tons to do here. Food, shopping, entertainment, even a place to but things for your home like the Box Store. There’s also a gym in the collection as well. I’m a big fan of Panera and boba tea. So it o isn’t quick food they have it, if you want sit down food they have it and it’s pet friendly. There’s an area called the Annex food hall that has even more food choices.
Eddie C — Google review
The Collection Riverpark is a fantastic outdoor shopping and dining destination that has something for everyone. It features a wide variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options, all in one beautifully designed area. Whether you’re shopping, grabbing a bite to eat, or just enjoying a walk, the atmosphere feels vibrant and welcoming. The layout is spacious and clean, with plenty of seating areas and nice spots to relax. Parking is convenient, and it’s easy to spend a whole day here exploring everything it has to offer.
Shafiq O — Google review
The Collection at River Park in Oxnard is a well-designed, very serviceable shopping center that does what it’s supposed to—and does it well. I stopped in on a pass-through and hit the Whole Foods, which was excellent: clean, well-stocked, and busy in a good way. From what I saw and walked past, there’s a strong mix of retail, dining, and entertainment options. You could easily knock out errands, grab a bite, and catch a movie without driving in circles. Parking was easy (a rarity in SoCal shopping centers), and the layout is clean and walkable, with enough greenery and open space to make it feel more like a town square than a strip mall. That said, this isn’t a place you drive hours for. It’s not a shopping “destination” in the sense of a big outlet or design district—but if you’re local, it probably checks every box. Comfortable, convenient, and just elevated enough to feel modern. Solid four stars for doing the basics really well, without pretending to be something it’s not.
Paul M — Google review
The Collection is a place where one can relax and people-watch, visit with loved ones, or shop the unique stores. There is also a movie theater there if you're interested in watching a movie too. The mall is adorned with various types of art and beautifully landscaped. It is very clean. Many events are held at the Target park, and there is a code of conduct to follow while on premises. Bicycles are not allowed, and large groups must not hold up the flow of pedestrian traffic while walking around. There is no smoking allowed either. Most of the stores are slightly pricey, but the convenience and esthetics make it worth it. There are several bars with unique themes and a comedy club for those that enjoy night life. Restrooms are available to the public as well. There are 4 parking lots and a covered space, but come early because they fill up daily! Sunday afternoons are their busiest times. This is a great mall and their appreciation for art and fun is admirable! This is a good place to go for shopping and entertainment.
Sandy S — Google review
This place is an outdoor mall with shops and restaurants. The place is clean, and offers a good amount of variety. Unfortunately, it is a place that can attract troublemakers that ride their bikes recklessly, as well as play their music loudly. But, if you're looking for a bite to eat or in the mood to shop, stop by!
Michelle L — Google review
Nice little place. Has a lot of shopping and eating options. A nice calming fountain and play area for the kids. One street by the food court has been shut down and converted into an large outdoor seating area. Target and CVS are also on site
Tommy T — Google review
Nice place to hang out with friends and the fam. BE CAREFUL! For some reason everyone forgets how to drive there, especially at the stop signs!! 3 near misses and once almost got runover while using the crosswalk. Only at the Collection.

American restaurant

Restaurant
Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar offers a relaxed and inviting atmosphere with lodge-chic decor, including exposed beams, a blazing fire pit, and funky dog sculptures. The restaurant serves global comfort fare such as stir-fries, pot roast, and pastas. It is known for its fabulous food and lively atmosphere, making it suitable for various occasions from family lunches to business meetings. The menu features a variety of American dishes with options for both adults and children.
The restaurant features a modern, spacious layout with high ceilings and a pleasant ambiance. The welcoming team provided a complimentary appetizer, enhancing our first-time dining experience. The fish and chips were generously portioned and delicious, and the fried chicken was also quite good. While the menu is predominantly deep-fried items, we plan to return.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere! This was our first visit, and the manager graciously came to our table to meet us, welcome us, and gave us an additional complimentary appetizer. Couldn't ask for better hospitality and service. The quality of the food was top-notch, and our server was very kind and attentive. And the happy hour prices are incredibly fair. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience at Lazy Dog! The food and desserts were absolutely delicious, and everything—from appetizers to the main course—was cooked perfectly. The staff and manager were incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. We left very happy and satisfied. Thank you for the great service!

I'm giving Lazy Dog a solid 5 stars. Not because its the best food ever, but for the price and selection of menu items it is incredibly.consistemt and great value for money in today's climate. We ordered the chicken meatball tika masala appetizer, which was delicious. It would however be greatly improved with some mini nan bread bites to mop up the delicious, perfectly spiced sauce. My hubby ordered the Mediterranean Bowl that looked really fabulous. This too would have been greatly enhanced with a little pitta bread to scoop up the hummus that was seasoned deliciously. The Lemon Chicken plate with the cauliflower mash and green beans was top notch too. No complaints whatsoever on this except the probably served too much chicken for me 😉 Overall great value and great food all deserving of my 5 stars!

I’d love to come here again. Great atmosphere, great food and great service. TVs with all the sports events and all the drinks you could ask for.

The most disgusting service in Oxnard is here! There was a very rude and slow waitress Sarah who didn't even standard her work! She brought dirty cutlery with leftovers on a fork and a knife and dirty glass! It's outrageous!! Bringing dirty forks and knives after previous customers for this place is the norm!!!! It's happened several times already! More than once!! The question is, why is the management so swine towards customers?! Next, after dinner, we ordered dessert and a drink. They brought the dessert right away, and the drink in 20 minutes because she forgot about it!!! This is unacceptable! And the most disgusting thing, asking for the bill, this impulent person wanted to calculate us and cheat us for money! She added an extra drink and an extra dish to the bill!!! Where is the management of this place looking??!!! Since we have visited this institution many times and repeatedly brought me dirty dishes, I think it is necessary to complain to the Health Department. Or is the norm here treating customers like pigs??? I think it is necessary to invite inspections from all departments to this restaurant to put things in order! I don't recommend this terrible place to anyone!
Missoni M — Google review
Overall the food and atmosphere are really good, but the volume makes it a bit hard to have conversations if you're looking for a place to catch up with someone and can make ordering a little difficult at times. Will say that it is very family-friendly, so if you need a place to go with little ones, this could be a good option. I highly recommend the 5 cheese grilled cheese and will definitely be coming back here again later with family and friends.

Warehouse club
Electronics store
Liquor store
Sam's Club is a membership-only warehouse chain offering a wide range of bulk grocery items, electronics, and home goods. The bakery at Sam's Club in Oxnard provides an impressive variety of food specialties and treats made with high-quality ingredients. Recent updates to the store have improved the layout, making shopping more enjoyable with wider aisles and better use of space. The Halloween display is worth checking out, and the store offers unique choices compared to other big box stores.
Sam's club is always busy, but the prices are hard to beat if you are buying items like milk, cheese, meat, bread, cupcakes, frozen foods. I like Sam's club better for fundraising or big crowds since I like their selection of sweets. Members Mark is Sam's club brand which is just as good as Costco's Kirkland brand. Sometimes there’s a wait for the rotisserie chicken so just be aware. There will be a lot of folks waiting by it.
Verky — Google review
Had to return a larger item back to the store that I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to. Isabella & Julie were great on the customer service end and Tyler on the back end in helping getting everything unloaded. All extremely friendly and making sure the job got done. Thanks guys!

Now, I don’t usually write reviews not my thing but I felt I had to say something for the folks running the café, especially that young lady with the purple hair. I didn’t catch her name, but that hair sure made it easy to remember her. I came by the club on Saturday , the place was packed. Long line, kids everywhere, weekend madness. But that girl was moving like lightning handling both lines, taking orders, slicing pizzas, and doing it all with a smile. Not one of those fake customer service smiles either she looked like she actually liked being there. Made a real difference. I only waited maybe five minutes for two whole pizzas, on a weekend no less. That’s rare these days. Now here’s the kicker I came back on Monday, figured I’d grab a few of those pizza pretzels. She wasn’t there this time. The other staff told me it’d be a 15 minute wait. No big deal but I ended up standing around for 25 minutes, just watching them chit chat while nothing was happening. No urgency, no hustle. I didn’t complain, I just took note. And that’s why I’m leaving this review now folks like that purple haired girl deserve are noticed. She made a real difference. Hard work still stands out, even to an old guy like me.

Update October 2022: check out their Halloween display. So cute! Definitely get a membership. Completely different choices from the other big box store nearby. And this place is enormous. Office supply section has good choices. Also see the fresh fruits and veggies...full of flavor every time I've bought strawberries and blueberries. Don't skimp because you have a membership at another warehouse store. It' worth it to get this one.
Judy B — Google review
I love how organized this club is and the welcoming staff by the front door but I am frustrated by the single-person receipt checking process. I regularly use scan n go to bypass long lines. Yet, I inevitably find myself waiting in a lengthy line, which negates the advantages of Scan n Go.
Annjhie101 — Google review
Surprisingly good prices, compared to Costco for the amount. Also they've got pizza pretzels and hot dogs just like Costco's food stand just inside. All in all I would come here again probably am going to as well. They got it all. Remember to have your Sam's club card, or you won't be able to get in the front.

If I could give a zero star I would. So today I got plain cupcakes from deli because the "Deli manager Angel" refused to be any help and take advantage of his authority as a manager...Anyway even after I showed him the sams club website and spoke to 2 girls working at the deli mind ypu they had no issue helping me what so ever and they were until "Angel" stepped in and refused!!! Again this is just for cake toppers I was purchasing the cupcakes rght there and then too and I only requested because all we saw was graduation ones!! Anyway after Angels power trip he refused and this was for my 10 year old sons class bday party tmrw. I spoke to the manager on the floor and was absolutely no help and did not care and also refused to go and get cake toppers and offer me a 10 dollar gift card I told them to keep I don't need their money!! But useless staff from both the floor manager and the deli manager Angel!! The lady's at the deli were amazing and helpful, Angel guy needs a new job because he obviously hates his job and life. The register lady's checking me out also agreed and said they usually give them to customers at no charge if they are buying cupcakes!! This was 6-3-25 at around 4pm to be exact!! Sams club can shove their 10 dollar gift card and crappy manager customer service useless!! Long time customer and never have I been treated like I did today!! Did not ask for anything free was willing to pay extra even dough i was purchasing cupcakes and cake pops!!
Wendy L — Google review
Dec 2022: definitely loving the revamped Sam's. They moved and reorganized the refrigerated section, opened up an entire dairy and veggie/fruit areas. Placed a bunch of huge signs. Definitely a much better use of space now than before, aisles feel wider which makes shopping much more enjoyable now Oct 2022: 60ct eggs are now adjusted to $14 after they reverted to about $12 for a few months. . . . July 2022: 60ct eggs used to be $12 in Feb. They were out of stock this whole time and they're now almost $22 - that's 80% increase in a matter of months! . . . I personally prefer Sam's club more than Costco, especially from a purchasing point of view, I don't have to deal with long check out lines and can pay through the app. Best of all you get an electronic copy of your receipt, either on email or within the app which is centuries ahead of Costco that makes it a breeze for return. Price wise, I do see some items are cheaper than Costco but not a whole lot and the amount of SKUs they carry is definitely much higher. I do come here more often because the checkout process is faster and the fact that I can get boneless chicken thighs. Online order with same day pickup is really a great option too, especially when I can double stack cash back points with CC and Dosh!

The Oxnard Performing Arts Center Corporation (OPAC) is a versatile theater complex that serves as a hub for various community events, trade shows, and corporate gatherings. With a capacity to accommodate up to 4,000 individuals, it features a fully functional theatre space along with eight meeting rooms suitable for both formal and informal seminars. Additionally, the center is an ideal venue for private celebrations such as weddings and musical events.
Such a magical night! I highly recommend that you attend one of these concerts. The Music and instruments evoked so many emotions. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of it!

Some very good events at the Oxnard Canyon. Rio High School Dance show and 2 wedding receptions, and a quinceañera. Very nice events.

Who would have thought that the city of Oxnard would have its own Performing Arts Center? Well I am blown away by this venue. I recently attended the Pink Martini concert at this venue. The patrons ranged in age from old to young. Every one attending was well received by the most helpful and friendly staff. You couldn't walk more than 15 feet before someone with a smile asked if they could assist you. A beautiful plaza awaits you at the entrance. They have a small but efficient beverage center. The venue holds close to 1000 people. The only negative is that the aisles are undulating and difficult to walk for the older patrons. It was easy with the ushers to find your seats. The exit was quick and efficient. I almost forgot that the parking was plentiful and free. This venue is a true gem for Oxnard.

Came here for my nephews promotion. The place is dated but very well maintained. Lots of security and staff. It felt very nice.

The catrina face painting class was so much fun. And the performances of the children who put on plays have been excellent
Ethel P — Google review
The one and only complaint I have is that there are a LOT of trip, slip and fall hazards at this facility: no handrails anywhere. Uneven steps to the top levels, slippery carpet, inclined floors. If you are wearing any sort of hard-soled dress shoes or heels PLEASE use extra caution when walking on carpeted areas, particularly the stairs. It can be very dangerous.
Bill B — Google review
I had the pleasure of visiting OPAC recently. An older venue that retains character and it's necessity. Many artists touring and local frequently perform there. Events and services take place on a weekly basis. .The friendly staff are eager to make every show a big show.
Carlos C — Google review
The Assistant Manager Gil, and House Manager Kim are Very Unprofessional, rude, and like to belittle people. Pls note, that when they realized they had fruit flies and bugs in liquor bottles, they had workers sifting out the bugs out, then placing the liquor back into the bottles. That's very unsanitary. This place deserves 0 stars in my opinion.

Nestled in the heart of Oxnard, the Esplanade Shopping Center is a vibrant hub for both shopping and dining. With an eclectic mix of locally owned stores, it’s the perfect spot to hunt for unique gifts or simply indulge in some retail therapy. The center boasts ample parking options, making it accessible for everyone, including those with disabilities—though navigating around certain busy spots can be a bit tricky at times.
A friend and I went to the New Chicken Bowl Teriyaki restaurant for lunch. The man was kind, friendly and happy. Great atmosphere, and great food!! A must try if ever in Oxnard CA.

Anyone remember this place in the eighties when it was a traditional shopping center with the May Co. as an anchor? Now it’s a textbook example of how to adapt to the changing times with mixed shopping experiences like Home Depot, Starbucks, Walmart, Nordstrom Rack, Dick’s Sporting Goods, 5 Degrees Below, Boot Barn, a gym, other restaurants plus big tim draw BJ’s Brewery.
Nancy B — Google review
This shopping center runs parallel to the 101fwy. There are many stores to shop at here, including Home Depot, Dick's Sporting Goods, Bath and Bodyworks, and Bob's Furniture. Handicap accessible parking and lots of parking for the public. Carts are returned promptly to stores, and parking lot is crowded, but easy to navigate. I come here often and always get in and out in a hurry.

Beach
Ventura Beach is a charming destination nestled along the California coastline, offering a wide array of attractions and activities for both residents and visitors. It provides an affordable alternative to its upscale neighbors, with free access to million-dollar views at Venturas Botanical Gardens and surf-worthy waves. The beaches in Ventura are perfect for sunbathing, swimming, beach volleyball, or even camping. One such beach is Emma Wood State Beach on the northern end of Ventura.
Super clean I had a great time. Highly recommend the place the parking it’s on the street so you’ll have to arrive early in order for you to get a good spot. The bathroom are portable potty so it’s at your own risk and there is no sink to wash your hands.
Wendy B — Google review
Ventura Beach offers a peaceful, laid-back vibe with beautiful sandy shores and gentle waves. It’s perfect for a chill day by the ocean, with fewer crowds than some of the busier California beaches. Great for walking, surfing, or just soaking in the sun and fresh sea breeze.
Emile A — Google review
I was mainly on the Ventura Promenade since I was walking my dog, but really enjoyed being there. Great views of the shoreline, beaches and ocean. The pier was closed due to storm damage from last year, but it was still nice to look at since it used to be the longest wooden pier in the US. Others on the promenade would yield and we're respectful of pedestrians, dog walkers and cyclists. Several parking and restroom options along the way.

Love this beach! Mostly I love the rocks but it is a very nice beach. Not so many people really. You can pay for parking if you plan to be there all day it's only 10 bucks and there picnic tables and such. Plenty of parking. The bike path is great. There aren't people walking across the bike path dragging sand onto it and being clueless like in Santa Monica. Way way way nicer. There are volleyball courts. Waves are kinda small. Water is cold as to be expected most of the time. No tar. Plenty of birds to watch and the locals are not mean or snotty.

This is a truly great beach that offers something you can’t get down the road in LA….. quiet. It’s worth the little drive to not have to be over charged for parking and not have to be surrounded by the crowds. Check out the nearby Madewest Brewery at the pier while you are here.

Fast-food chain with made-to-order burgers, fries & hot dogs, plus free peanuts while you wait.
Service is excellent. They take their time to explain menu items. The food is high quality. You can have them make it how ever you like it. And OMG the do not skimp on fries. They always give you extra fries. It’s kind of expensive for a burger place but the quality is there. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been to many Five Guys locations, and this one is absolutely in my top three. The store is spacious and comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy your meal. What stood out the most was the staff—everyone was incredibly friendly and genuinely happy. You can clearly see they enjoy working here, and that positive vibe really enhances the whole experience.

2 years later and food is still as expensive if not more. Got 2x grilled cheese and shake this time, came up to $21.71! . . . First time setting foot in Five Guys and wow the burgers and hotdogs are expensive! Only decided to check this place out because we have 40% cash back. What's nice is the free peanuts and the crazy amount of fries!! The burgers and hotdogs are decent

I just found out that you can eat peanuts while you wait for your food for FREE! Food is amazing! The fries are delicious and they really give you extra! My daughter said she would rate their food a 100 out of 10. The staff is very nice and helpful. Food is pricey and maybe that is why people don’t come here as often. I will definitely be back!

Everything was okay. However the standard cheeseburger just fell apart and didn’t fit in my mouth. There were also 1-2 flies where I sat. One landed on the side of my milkshake. Other than that, they got my food out fast. The atmosphere is just about what you’d expect. It’s alright.

This time the food was prepared perfectly. The hot dog was very small and pricey. Finally! I received crispy fries. The drink came out of a self served soda machine. Which I liked. The restaurant was extremely clean. The Staff was quick at making my order.

Five guys is really expensive, the burger (patties) wasn't seasoned enough, too expensive, and the bread was soggy. When we ordered a cheese burger we asked for green peppers but they forgot it they also forgot to add whipped cream on my milkshake. L & L Hawaiian BBQ is a Hawaiian and barbecue restaurant located in Oxnard, CA. Despite not having a kids' cheeseburger, they offer a kids' BBQ chicken option. Some customers found the BBQ short ribs to have a charred taste on the edges and were surprised that the Loco Moco came with a beef patty instead of ground beef. The BBQ Mix is slightly cheaper than the BBQ Short Ribs and offers better value for money according to some patrons.

Just a decent place to have some different food. The plate looks good in size, but it lacks of flavor, makes it no that good after tasting it. Another observation, with a large group, comes the large waiting times. Luckily for us, there were other options next-door. Enjoy your visit.

If you’re thinking of hosting a get together or a corporate event please don’t overlook this gem. The food was fantastic. The price was right! And the compliments were endless. 10/10 all round! Thank you guys!

I absolutely love Yummy Hawaiian BBQ! Every dish is consistently fresh and delicious, and I'm always impressed by how quickly my order is ready – there's virtually no wait time. The staff here are truly fantastic; their upbeat and friendly attitude always makes for a great dining experience.

I love the food! Pretty much the only thing I haven’t tried is the Lau Lau. If you’re coming near closing time, you should know that they typically stop cooking before they lock up, up to half an hour before, so order ahead.
Patrick F — Google review
Mixed reviews on this place. The food is delicious, but the last few times ordering take out have been subpar. It seems that the food is extremely hot with putting it in the plastic to go containers that it melts the container and the entire dish tastes like plastic. I think it’s time for new non-plastic containers.

Good food, the BBQ Mix is about $1 than the BBQ Short Ribs. I personally think you get a better bang for your buck with the BBQ Mix. However, the short ribs is my favorite meat. You can order via a few app options or in store. I always order via the Clover app, and it says it is the businesses preferred app as of July 2024. There are no service fees via this app either. I prefer the full-size meals over the mini meals since I think the mini meals are too small for the price.

Oyster bar restaurant
The Jolly Oyster Ventura is a unique shellfish farm located in San Buenaventura State Beach, offering fresh raw oysters and clams from walk-up food trucks. Visitors can purchase these seafood delicacies to enjoy on-site or take home, and even buy an oyster knife for shucking. The food stand provides an excellent ocean view and nearby picnic facilities for a delightful dining experience.
Perfect spot to enjoy fresh Oysters! You can make a picnic out of it with friends or family. We saw others had brought snacks, alcohol etc, were using the little grills available by the tables. The shucked oysters were very good. I loved the oyster taco! Scallop ceviche tasted fresh and delish. We took uni home and shared amongst myself and hubby. Would love to go back during summer time.

Delicious fresh oysters! Enjoyed the Cajun grilled oysters, the scallop ceviche and shucked a dozen of the raw oysters. Sat outside and enjoyed the chill vibes and music and took a nice little beach stroll after.
Max C — Google review
Cool outdoor spot conveniently located across from the Marriot at the park. Fresh! With options to shuck your own, take them to go or enjoy the ocean views and breeze while dining there. Dog friendly, and you are able to bring outside items. Park will voucher an hour of parking for you as well. Will definitely make it a point to come here when I pass through in the future.

This place is so good. The food is amazing and the service is super friendly. Can’t beat the beachside location, right by the sand and water. I’m happy a place like this exists and I hope they continue to be a part of what makes Ventura great. You get a free 60 minute parking pass when you go through the gate.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this place. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the atmsphere was excellent! I can see myself making the two hour drive to Ventura just to visit this one place. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this spot. Next time I'll bring a picnic and make a real meal of it.

Great when you want to shuck your own oysters. You’re in for a fun time no doubt. Bring your own shuckers, buy one from the shop, or just ask to borrow one. Whatever which way, you’ll have some fun. Shuck shuck away. Their smaller ones are usually better, in a sweeter way. We love getting the Kumamoto variety mainly. Open air seating at the beach and you can have open containers. Good deal!

Fresh and tasty food, friendly service, beautiful scenery. Perfect for a quick stop for lunch or an early dinner.

Awesome place, got this recommendation from a friend. Oysters are so fresh, and nothing like an original glass coke bottle to wash it down. I do think there was way more and excessive salt on the bottom of the plate, but nothing to the point where I wouldn’t have enjoyed it. Looking forward to coming back in the summer when it’s less windy.

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
Lure Fish House, located in Downtown Ventura, offers an upscale seafood dining experience with a focus on fresh, sustainable, and locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant features an oyster bar and prides itself on serving locally caught seafood and organically grown produce. With its nautical-themed decor, spacious interiors, and dedication to using local wines whenever possible, Lure Fish House provides a warm and relaxing ambiance for guests.
The highlights were definitely the miso glazed sea bass skewers and the clam chowder. The sauce for the linguine with clams was a little thin and the lobster ravioli didn’t have a ton of lobster. Our server, Joel, was super attentive especially for such a busy night and offered to cut the peach lemonade with some iced tea and it was very refreshing and tasty. The key lime pie wasn’t as lime forward as I hoped

Went in on a Saturday for lunch with 3 people. Was able to be seated at a high top table straight away. Great vibe, friendly and quick service. We ordered dirty martinis and when we asked for more olive brine they happily obliged. We ordered fresh and broiled oysters to share as well as mussels abs lobster roll. All were fantastic! Even the bread with whipped butter was delightful! Loved this spot.

I recently discovered Lure Fish House thanks to its fantastic online reviews. I was so impressed that I ended up going for happy hour two days in a row! I absolutely loved their seafood tower, oyster shooters, and biscuits. The sundae was also a delicious treat to end the meal. The pepper dish was a bit too spicy for my taste, but overall, the food was great and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back for more!

We had a great dinner with excellent service. We had the cheddar biscuits which were delicious. We also had the Vancouver oysters and the mussels with chorizo which was delicious. The entrees had mix reviews. My fish and chips were great though they needed some salt. My lady had the lobster ravioli which was drowned in cheese. Personally I don't mind all that cheese but it seemed overpowering to the flavor of the ravioli. But all in all a very lovely end to our day trip to Ventura and for 3 appetizers, 2 entrees And 2 non alcoholic drinks for $110, a great bargain !

First time coming here after hearing how great it was, figured we needed to try it! It was great! We sat outside and the day was beautiful with the nearby ocean breeze it was perfect! The inside was very trendy and modern with everything very first class. Our waiter Jairo was very attentive and gave us great recommendations on our food and drinks! The food was very tasty and well prepared! Strongly recommend when you're in the area!

My wife and I recently dined at Lure Fish House in Ventura for dinner during a quick visit, drawn in by its stellar Yelp reviews. Even on a Tuesday night, the place was buzzing, which is always a good sign. The vibe is cool with nice decor—think coastal chic without being over-the-top. The service was a highlight; our server, Rachel, was an absolute star, super friendly, and on top of everything. We kicked things off with steamed clams and the fish chowder Veracruz as appetizers. The clams were plump and meaty, a solid start. The chowder packed a lot of flavor, though I was a bit bummed it was light on actual fish. The house bread was a nice surprise—crispy crust, soft inside, perfect for mopping up the clam broth. For mains, I went with their famous dab fish, which didn’t disappoint. The skin was crispy, the meat flaky and tender, and it came with two sides, which was a nice touch. My wife got the lobster ravioli, and while it was tasty, the lobster filling was a bit sparse for her liking. Dessert was the Basque cheesecake with strawberry. It was decent but denser than the classic burnt Basque style I was hoping for, and I was kinda expecting fresh strawberries instead of the canned strawberries with sauce. Parking was an easy with a free public lot nearby, which is always a win. To sum it up, Lure Fish House is a good choice for seafood lovers. Great atmosphere, awesome service, and mostly hits the mark on the food. I’d come back again if I’m back in Ventura!l

Absolutely recommended! We really enjoyed everything! The food was wonderful, and the service was excellent. We were seated very quickly, served right away, and the dishes were prepared and presented in no time. Everything was delicious—from the appetizers to the hot dishes and soups. The salad, oysters, calamari, fish, and all the other dishes we tried were fresh and flavorful. Highly recommended!

We had a great time have dinner during summer evening. We sat outside for happy hour. I found it a bit warm inside. Outside offer a nice breeze to keep us cool. Food was delicious and filling. We ordered the LINGUINE WITH CLAMS Parsley, butter, lemon, white wine, olive oil, garlic, MUSSELS BASQUAISE black mussels, Fire-roasted tomato broth, Spanish chorizo, queso fresco, garlic bread with and CHIPOTLE SHRIMP TACO.
