This beach was not bad at all, very wide and lots of space in the shore. they have a big parking lot as well as parking on the street, only thing that sucked was they didn’t have any restrooms or showers to rinse off, other than that it was cool 😎

This place is always so chill and love it! Not really a place to collect big sea shells and there's a lot of wood debris. Other then that this place once you find a set spot you can fall asleep all day here.

Its a nice beach with strong waves,i went to this beach Saturday morning. i noticed if you walk up and down the beach you will find dead seals, and dolphins. Be careful when you walk over the sand because there is dry oil.

Lovely beach with sand dunes, year round great weather and the amazing California coast water. Check local news for any do not swim hazards, and water quality. Enjoy the beach, for those with melanin deficiencies, remember that the sun is a deadly laser and you are advised to bring sunblock. Please choose an SPF rating that is suitable for your individual melanin deficiency. Handy tip; Red hair = low melanin levels so higher SPF ratings.

Great beach. Came here on a Sunday morning to have a picnic with family. Not too busy in the morning and afternoon. Played some volleyball as they provide the net at the beach. The restroom was hard to find but the restaurant next to the beach has public restrooms you can use and they are clean. No lifeguard on duty. Nice place to also walk by the seashore.

If you're looking for a beach to relax and enjoy the ocean this is the spot. Tons of room for kids to play and not bother others, people to watch surf, and the best part is a clean public restroom and outdoor shower/rinse area! One of the best beach locations I've ever been to, to just relax!

Wonderful white sandy beach. When we visited in December 2024 there were 30+ seals every day at the North end near the harbour. Parking was closed one day but plenty of street parking nearby.

Free parking, but the lot is on the small side. Clean beach with fine sand making for a pleasant walk. Full of marine life which makes for an interesting day: seals, many playful dolphins, & pelicans to name a few. Stayed all day and we all (kids & adults) really enjoyed this beach!

Nothing like standing in the surf at your home beach. We're all surrounded by water and waves for 9 months before were born and are used to that rhythm of our mother's heartbeat pushing those waves around us... standing in the water with the waves pulsing around my legs is Mother Earth trying to ground me and slow me down. Simply put, the rhythm of those waves I was surrounded by at the Strand was slower, but that's exactly what I needed. It's good to come home and have that hard re-set.

This is the access point to a 20,000,000 acre backyard. Paddle board, kayak, fish, swim, surf, hike, or anything you like to do around water. The crowds are very manageable in spite of the awesome location. On Sunday they have a farmers market that can get busy but the incredible local strawberries are worth it. The ocean is filled with sea life as well. the pic is of a harbor seal that couldn't stay off of my SUP . I'd scare him off and a minute later he'd hop right back up and in a few seconds back to sleep he went. Great place to visit for sure. Hotels, restaurants are plenty and it is a great break from the LA crowd and heat.

One of my favorite places in Ventura county. Plenty of parking, good restaurants and cafes. It's an excellent option for walking or hanging out with kids (riding a scooter or walking). Additionally, the farmers market on Sundays mornings are amazing and highly recommend.

Many historic houses moved to this one area. All are being rented to businesses so you can only see the exteriors. Tours are available if you email then ahead to set it up. Free parking.

I had the opportunity to shoot a beautiful August wedding at Heritage Square, and it was an absolute dream. The little chapel was a gorgeous setting for the ceremony, the square itself was a perfect backdrop for the reception, and the garden surroundings created some stunning portraits! The style of the buildings in the square make it feel like you're living your own fairytale wedding day! I would highly recommend this venue, especially for summer brides looking for a outstanding experience!

I would like to see more vendors and more food trucks..it seemed that last year was far more busier.. I enjoyed the performance of the street theater from Los Angeles .. I had a great time! Please keep prices accessible..

This is a beautiful spot to spend an hour or a day exploring Victorian architecture and interesting local and national history. A comfy coffee shop with sandwiches and pastries, as well as a beautiful restaurant with a warm, inviting speakeasy in the basement, provide the perfect additions to the tour. Very artistic and high quality tees, puzzles, pins, etc at graphic artist shop I cannot find the name of online. Thanks for an amazing tour Gary!

We didn't take a guided tour, just picked up a bus and get there. It's great to find such a small, climatic place in the middle of the town, where you can sit down next to the fountain and take nice pictures.

Exquisite Museum showcasing Elegant cars with curves. The shine & finish on these art deco styled cars is like fine jewelry. Beautiful Bugatti Automobiles & Lalique crystal hood ornaments. Art objects & furniture in the room upstairs. Our docent Jackson was a great guide to give us the history of the cars & Mr Mullin, the collector. It was an exceptional afternoon filled with eye candy. Much Thanks to the museum for the collection & hospitality.

If your thing is classic Bugattis this is the place to go for everything about the manufacturer, furniture, backyard finds, models cars and more. Other manufacturer models are displayed but not the main focus. Learned a few things, especially since the curators were so friendly and helpful.

Awesome one of a kind collection presented in a perfect environment. No lines, one on one background stories of each vehicle by experienced personnel. Extraordinary collection gifting people a step back into an era of automotive art history not to be rivaled. Mr Mullins' passion lives on even after his passing.

Easily in the top three best automotive museums in all of Los Angeles or even Southern California. The Peterson on Miracle Mile, Nethercutt in Santa Paula, and The Mullin are by far the best automotive museums you can go to. They specialize in Bugatti but also have a ton of other historical and unique cars you got to see. It is extremely well organized and very clean and you can tell there was a lot of effort and time spent on the design and layout. Also the staff was very polite and it is not nearly as crowded as the other two museums I mentioned. If you’re a fan of anything automotive, engineering, engines, or history you have to check this place out. I drove from West LA for it and I was glad I did so.

Wonderful museum with beautiful cars and friendly, well informed volunteers. We spent a decent amount of time speaking with Mr. Murphy who was well informed and very nice. And funny enough they had the prettiest bathrooms I've ever seen!

Truly an amazing collection of automobiles. One of the finest I've ever visited. Plenty of staff with specific knowledge to share the many individual stories that go with each car in the collection.

A wonderful hidden gem. Beautiful French automobiles from PreWWII and gorgeous Art Deco furnishings. A well appointed museum that was a joy to wander through. Will definitely be back. This should be added to everyone’s ‘must-do’ list when visiting Ventura!

I visited Channel Islands Maritime Museum on 9/27/25 and had a great experience. There is a ton of amazing artwork and models of ships from our history. We were given a free tour from Earl and he is what made this experience so great, he is full of knowledge on every display he showed us as well had a few personal stories that related to the displays. I would recommend Channel Islands Maritime Museum to everyone, you do not need to be into sailing and ships to enjoy this museum. Shoutout to Earl! 😁

The staff and the place are both incredibly nice! It's a wonderful location to delve deeper into the fascinating world of sailing history and to cultivate an appreciation for the arts. And to top it all off, there's even a breathtaking view of sea lions at the back of the building, and they are simply adorable!

Mr. Kushner a museum volunteer gave us a personal tour of the museum. He was careful to explain the model ships and paintings with such detail and nuance. My 6 year old son Jake later said Mr. Kushners tour was a highlight of the California trip.

Wow! What a gem of a place! Make the time to get into see this amazing collection of paintings and ship models. Such an extraordinary opportunity to see this history with a knowledgeable staff. Vivian walked us through the tour and made it so engaging and loved seeing her favorite pieces along with a fun hunt to answer the questions on pieces. The details on these models will take your breath away. The paintings are striking. Just a wonderful place!

Loved our experience at the Maritime Museum! The staff are friendly and welcoming, they offer to tour you around or let you peruse on your own. When we had a question about the model ships, Mary was very knowledgeable and informative. Downstairs is various paintings and models, upstairs is more informative and hosts art exhibits. I highly recommend this cute spot to know more of the history and appreciate the artwork from the past! (And do ask the staff questions, they love sharing facts and history!)

Some of the best volunteers, friendly, very knowledgeable. Vast knowledge on the beautiful exhibits they have there. Lots of beautiful paintings. Was pleasantly surprised at how much beautiful art they have. Went for my birthday and was very happy and it made my birthday great and my week even better. Stopped by on a Friday for pick-your-own strawberries. End of season but still lots of berries to pick, and they were so delicious! Staff was friendly & informative. Less than $20 for a really fun afternoon!

We were so excited to come and pick berries and the lady was so rude and told us to leave because the strawberries got flooded. They could have at least been nice about it. We then asked if they knew of another place we could go but the lady rudely told us to figure it out.

Love it , great strawberries , super sweet. The best strawberries. Now, is super expensive wich I understand. I have no problem paying for delicious strawberries. Travel all the way from Los Angeles. I spend a lot of gas and time to get there. There is an admission fee to enter the field; then pay for the fruit. One of the employees was checking on us. She made us feel uncomfortable. We weren't there to steal. SHe was following us. There used to be a young man working there before; he was a pleasure to interact with. The admission fee and the high prices should include eating a few berries in the field; it would be a more complete experience. This used to be my favorite place to go.🥲

The strawberry picking at McGrath Family Farm massively exceeded our expectations! We will be back for sure! We went strawberry picking today and had a wonderful experience. We were literally the only family there (granted, it was late on a Wednesday afternoon) so we had the entire field to ourselves. My 2-year-old son and I went up and down several rows, picking some of the sweetest strawberries we've ever tasted! He was thrilled the whole time (granted, strawberries are his favorite fruit). Before we knew it it was almost 5 PM so we packed up our 5 green baskets full of strawberries and headed home. We had a great time and will be sure to return to pick more strawberries! 🍓

This area is always clean when we are in town to visit. Beautiful views and great restaurants. Michelle was wonderful and gave us great recommendations for the best places to eat it the area. Overall a great place to spend a good portion of your day!

Excellent place to visit. Facilities are kept clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. There are nearby restaurants like Sea Fresh to grab some good eats. Also Island Packers is close by for those who like to tour Anacapa and do some whale watching with your significant other. Many more activities like kayaking and jet skiing as well. Highly reccomend Marine Emporium Landing for a good time out on the water!!!

The property and restrooms were very clean. The area had lots of fine dining and tons of water activities for the entire family. We will be coming back and referring friends and family. Michelle was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I rarely write reviews but I had to give this place a 5 ⭐️ I love coming to this place, it’s always very clean and welcoming and family friendly, one of the few places that it’s always clean, I’m very picky with public bathroom cleanliness but whoever is doing the cleaning at this place is doing an amazing job. I come often with my kids and a group of friends and we always have an amazing time.

Had a tour of the marina by Michelle. The area was clean and inviting. There are several activities to do and will refer this Mariana to my friends and family members.

Had an amazing time at the Seaside Highland Games in Ventura! Bagpipes, kilts, Scottish dancing, and incredible athletic events — all by the ocean breeze. Perfect mix of culture, music, and fun for all ages. Can’t wait for next year! Scottish fun in the California sun! Loved the caber toss, live music, and great food. Well-organized and family-friendly — a must-see every October at the Ventura Fairgrounds!

Here’s a recap of our visit to the Ventura County Fair, which was WAVES OF FUN!! It’s now my favorite fair!! Stilt Walkers, Plenty of Fair Food to choose from, Beer on Tap, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Livestock and Junior Livestock Auction, Pig Races (loved), Rides and Games, Shop Vendors, Bingo, Mechanical Bull, Live Music and concerts. Loved Violin on Fire with Patrick Contreras and The Outlaw Mariachi, which had people up and dancing!! The foodie in me was excited to try some fair food and it did not disappoint!! My favorite foods: Monster Chicken Kabobs- so flavorful and juicy! Bacon wrapped Jalapeño Poppers are a favorite go-to. Watermelon lemonade- so refreshing Tip: get the souvenir cup for $8 and get refills for 50% off. Dubai Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls. Cinnamon Rolls are baked fresh. So ooey gooey with chocolate. I wish it had more pistachio cream. The sampler box of fudge was creamy and sweet. The Divinity was like a light homemade marshmallow. If you love beef jerky, you’ll love Timbo’s Beef Jerky and Beef Sticks! We couldn’t leave the fair without the roasted Mexican Corn on the cob and cup. Fantastic!! Parking was $20

LOVE the Ventura County Fair...fireworks are gone, no drones, a lot less vendors, animals, even less rodeo events and entertainment. But everything that was there was great and the weather was nice and cool

I was sitting behind this guy at the stcotty mcreery concert and him and his wife would constanly stand up moving back and forth blocking the entire stage. I asked them if they would mind sitting my moms in a wheelchair and counld see the stage at all they completely ignored me and even made fun of me to their friends i would allow them to be sponsors of the fair again

The farmers market started earlier than the times listed on the website, Google, and Yelp. We arrived around 930 a.m., and to our surprise, all the vendors were already set up and ready to welcome visitors. The atmosphere was lively, warm, and inviting, perfectly showcasing the best of Ventura County’s local produce. We thoroughly enjoyed browsing through a vibrant selection of fruits and vegetables, including fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, oranges, and some stunning artichokes—I've been happily snacking on the latter ever since! This market truly highlights the region’s bounty, offering a diverse array of seasonal produce and garden delights. Beyond the fresh fruits and veggies, there are plenty of baked goods, beautiful flowers, garden supplies, and arts and crafts vendors. It’s a fantastic place to discover unique items and support local artisans, making for a wonderful shopping experience.

Love this place! Some stalls can be quite pricey for handcrafted goods, but the fresh produce is very reasonable especially if it’s in season, also it tastes 1000x better than the produce from somewhere like Vons. The Brothers Hummus is also some of the best hummus I’ve ever had. Lots of spots to park and it’s right on the water, nice way to spend a Sunday morning!

It's smaller than the usual farmer markets, but it does have the usual items and products you would find at other places. The plus side is it is located next to the harbor, so you can go for a nice stroll after you're done shopping.

Farm vendors supply a wide variety of fresh produce. That is an excellent condition and very fresh.It is not uncommon to have live entertainment within the park that the farmer's market surrounds.

One of the smaller farmers markets around, but convenient if you're downtown on a Thursday. They have the basics, but not a huge selection. There are lunch options, a few craft vendors and music.

So thrilled to find it was Farmers Market day in Oxnard. We picked up delicious homemade zucchini bread, which was yummy! There were fresh tomatoes, onions, carrots, you name it. All fresh and organic, of course. For those who like preserves and honey, you could have your pick. It happened to be a Thursday when we stopped by. Make sure you go early. It's open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It's right in downtown Oxnard.

I always go there for field trips with my older sister and my mom and we get Subway or Cielo desserts and we get movie popcorn sometimes if we're not watching a movie and we go to the pozole stand or the stand where they sell keychains and my older sister wanted a keychain but she didn't bring her money so she just accepted it and I just gave her a keychain

Driving home from So.Cal to the central valley I decided to stop in downtown Oxnard and pick up a few of those famous and delicious Oxnard Strawberries at the Farmers Market, It was pretty nice prices were reasonable. The market had a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from we had a good time walking through town and checking out some of the small businesses and the murals along the parking structure. There was 1 mural that really caught my eye and when you see this mural that the City can approve of you definitely know this chicana made an impact not only in the community of Oxnard but this entire country Beautiful! Excellent experience! Staff was friendly, food was delicious, and the view was great! There was a bit of a line, but very little wait. I’m glad we were not intimidated by the line, as there was a line for a reason! Andria’s is definitely one of the best fish market restaurants I’ve been to in a while. It’s hard to find good seafood in SoCal, and I think that Andria’s was phenomenal! We ordered two small chowders and split a Captain’s Platter… and this was a lot of food! Add in tip and drinks, and our total came to $60ish. I can’t wait to come back and try more items on their menu!

This is very casual spot right on the harbor. We ordered a variety of dishes, including mahi-mahi, snapper, and chicken and fries from the kids' menu. The mahi-mahi was quite bitter, which wasn't to my taste. I also wasn't a fan of the pasta salad and coleslaw; the sauces had a flavor that seemed a bit off, but it's possible that's just their style. The snapper, however, was much better and I really enjoyed the rice that came with the fish. The kids' food was good and they were happy with their meal. Overall, it's a solid 3,5-star experience.

If you go o the ventura harbor Andrias is a mist do stop for lunch or dinner, the fish and chips, clam chowder bowls are world famous and the best anywhere hands down,I've been eating here for over 30 years.

We had the halibut fish and chips and a bowl of clam chowder. While the clam chowder was tasty I was extremely disappointed with the Halibut Fish and Chips. Looks really great but had zero flavor. Maybe they forgot to season the fish but it tasted so bland. The food was way over priced and not worth it to me.

This place is amazing. I really enjoyed the Halibut fish and chips. They are very crispy and tasty. the french fries were delicious. The place is so good with their menu and service. There's always a place to sit and eat even when the line is long. The atmosphere is near the Marina and pleasant. It's worth the drive coming from the San Fernando Valley area for a delicious meal.

This place has a lot of good reviews and it definitely deserves them. It’s a bit pricey but the food is great.

We've visited the Sea Fresh restaurant in Ojai many times, so we wanted to try the harbor location. It was also good! I liked the sliders and the poki bowl I ordered. Everyone else liked their food but said the Ojai location was more consistent with some of the food. The harbor has a great patio next to the water and the service was fast.

Cute place on the harbor with a nice view. The cashier was amazing, very friendly and although the there was a line kept her smile. However, the woman answering the phone for call in orders did not seem happy and made a lot of faces as she took orders over the phone. I get it, I’m in customer service but if you are taking calls in front of guests you might not want to act so irritated. The menu was what you would expect at a seafood restaurant and was served quickly. The taste was average but did taste fresh. I had the grilled jumbo shrimp. Cool local place to grab a bite. There are a lot of birds if you sit outside but plenty of room inside as well.

A serious disappointment. Food was appalling. I feel bad posting negative reviews but this place was bad. Fish tacos were just tons of lettuce and cheese with very little, albeit tasteless, fish. The Captain's Catch is even worse. The batter was morelike a doughnut dough and the fish was overcooked.

We ordered the fish & chips, shrimp & chips, charbroiled oysters, and a Bloody Mary — everything was amazing! The seafood was super fresh and flavorful, especially the oysters — huge and delicious! The Bloody Mary was surprisingly cheap and really tasty. Great food, good vibes, and awesome value. Definitely coming back!

Great spot for fresh seafood during our vacation in Oxnard! My family and I stopped by while visiting the area, and overall we had a good experience. The young lady at the front was very helpful and recommended the blackened salmon. I went with the blackened seabass teriyaki rice bowl, which was excellent—flavorful and well-prepared. Others in our group enjoyed the fish and chips, and my wife had the shrimp tacos, which she felt were just okay. The atmosphere was casual and pleasant, but one small suggestion: it would be great to have a host greeting guests and helping with seating. That would really elevate the experience. Otherwise, we’d definitely consider coming back!

The crab and shrimp salad is delicious. My bf got the fish and chips. You order at the counter. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. The bathroom is a community bathroom for all the units but it’s always clean with 3 stalls I believe.

Relaxed restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean & pier but overpriced, average-tasting food. The Scampi was just extremely buttery pasta containing scallops that lacked flavor and shrimp. Felt like a very fattening meal not worth all the calories. The fish & chips were.. just fish & chips ($10.80 for small bite fish & chips). Couldn’t really taste the difference in the jalapeño batter they offer which is unfortunate, because the concept sounds amazing. The Cod Fish n Chips ($20.70) wasn’t much better, as the Cod tasted ultra fishy and lacked taste. It’s hard to put into words, but all the food just felt like empty calories that weren’t worth the price. Besides all that, everything else was great. They offer 10% military discount, the restaurant and view are beautiful, restrooms were clean, plenty of parking (after you pay $10), and staff were super friendly and helpful. I’d go again for the vibes and beer upstairs, but would save $ & go somewhere else to eat forsure.

We visited during lunchtime on a beautiful, sunny October day, and the view overlooking the Ventura Pier was simply stunning – a perfect backdrop for a great meal. ​The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their service was attentive without being intrusive. ​But the real star of the show is the seafood. It was outstanding! Everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. If you're looking for great seafood in Ventura, this is a must-try. ​They offer a good selection of locally brewed beers, which paired perfectly with the meal and the seaside atmosphere. That's definitely a "must try" for any beer lover. ​Highly recommend this seaside restaurant for fresh, tasty seafood, friendly service, and a great view!

I gotta be real the food here was decent but not spectacular by any stretch. The steamed clams in the lemongrass coconut broth just looked like Shrek slime and only really tasted of garlic with a hint of bitterness. It really wasn't pleasant for steamers to be presented this way. Green with shellfish isn't appealing or appetizing. The fish and chips were pretty good but needed salt. The jalapeno batter is a great idea and works well but the entire bite was pure oil. Tartar was nice. The sweet potato fries were plain yam tasting and nothing else. Needed salt or better yet a maple aioli of sort. Service was very nice, the man brought our food up for us to the brewery upstairs.

The view is amazing and the food is delicious. My first time there and I want to go back more times. I’m in love with the food!!!

I love this place. They have the best ahi fish sandwich cooked to protection with avacado and sprouts on a potato roll. I just had it yesterday and am ready to eat it today lol. The fries were crispy, not greasy. They had fresh made mago ice tea no sugar added which was delicious. My husband had the grilled chicken taco loaded with corn and so many other things and a sauce that you can get hot or regular. The fries calamari was just as good as all the food we ate.

Dude, stepping into this diner is like a total time warp to the fifties! To your left, there's this awesome jukebox cranking out old tunes. The whole place feels straight out of Back to the Future. But it's not just the look – the food and those retro shakes are killer. Seriously, nothing on the menu sucks. My wife got the flapjack combo – eggs, sausage, hashbrowns – and I had the tuna melt. Both were amazing.

A great little retro diner in a busier part of sleepy Ventura. I was passing through town from West LA and had been wanting to try this diner for quite some time so finally got my chance today. It’s located in the downtown district around a bunch of other bars and walkable shops. We were able to find a free parking spot in a parking lot across the street so parking is very easy in this area. Inside is quite small, but in a really homey and cozy kind of way. They have a long counter as well as a lot of booth seating. Inside is as you would expect it, a total throwback to 1950s Americana. I loved all of the neon and retro signage decorated all throughout the inside. It’s a sort of place that is fun to stay a while, especially because you can take control of the jukebox. Our server was also very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. For my breakfast, I chose the Chicken Fried Steak and thought it was fantastic. It was larger than I could even finish so definitely make sure you’re hungry if you order this one. It comes with three eggs which were cooked perfectly and overall, I was really happy with it and would recommend. I would stop in to Busy Bee again in the future next time I am in Ventura and would recommend to anyone else in the area or passing through as well.

Wow, what a cool American style diner that feels like stepping into the 50’s. The vibe is great and the breakfasts are both tasty and filling.

Came to Ventura to check out an event and after a long day; stopped by this awesome cafe with a charming early 20th century with its nostalgic 1940s/1950s diner style. The staff is warm and friendly and you can tell they are proud and well experience in what they do.

We always enjoy visiting the National Parks. This one did not disappoint. From watching the very informative short video to the helpful staff. We also took the boat trip out to the Channel Islands. On the way, we got to see Dolphins and Whales. The islands and their history were just amazing.

Had booked a roundtrip with Island Packers for a Friday in September. Got there around 8am because I needed to check-in 45 minutes in advance for the 9am ferry to Scorpion Cove. The visitor center opened at 8:30am, so took a quick walk over to buy some souvenirs and postcards. Liked the setup inside, and the items were easy to find. Checkout with the staff was quick, and I was able to get back to my car, drop off the items, and walk over to Island Packers before they started boarding.

This is a wonderful National Park Headquarters for the Channel Islands NP. There is a movie about the islands, narrated by Kevin Cosnter, a botanical garden with plants and trees, a diorama with animals, and an aquarium with fish, all from the Channel Islands. Lots of books and gifts to buy for adults and children available. The docents are knowledgeable and very helpful. They can help plan a trip to the Channel Islands which is s must!

A neat visitor center for those visiting CINP. Get your Natl Park passport booklets stamped here as well as t-shirts, caps, trinkets and books! Their book selection on the marine ecology & environment of CINP outstanding btw! FYI - just remember that for those taking the ferry boat road from the harbor rides nearby, the boats typically leave shortly after the visitor center opens, and if you catch the last ferry back, the visitor center will already be closed or closing. CINP is a wonderful place, but remember that MORE THAN HALF of CINP is the Federally Protected marine sanctuary underneath the surface! Imagine seeing the largest pod of dolphins just minutes from CINP - we did! The boat captain said it had to be 5000+ dolphins! And a pod of Orca whales teaching their young how to hunt seals, with an actual seal carcass! ONLY IN THE MARINE SANCTUARY OF CINP! MAKE SURE THE GOVT KEEPS THIS PROTECTED!

As far as visitor centers go its pretty neat! The rangers at the desk were kind and helpful. The center itself was pretty interesting and informative. Displays outside include a small nature walk with pamphlets about the indigenous plants and topographical maps of each of the islands and information about each one of them. Inside the center is a small aquarium with local wildlife, some displays of other locals marine life and facts about the local indigenous peoples, the Chumash. If you have the energy there is a tower you can climb up to the 3rd floor that has information on the different level of the ocean and a great view once you reach the top. We finished our trip by picking up souvenirs in the gift shop. We were there for about an hour. If you looking to kill some time definitely stop by and check it out.

A nicely laid out visitor centre on the mainland facing the Channel Islands. The gallery and interactive displays were enjoyed by all the kids. The stairwell paintings are very nicely done. The open aquarium is mesmerizing for the little ones. The fish and the 🦞. Would like to visit the islands but the cost for a family was quite high.

4/5 ⭐️s! Everything tasted good, most everything you can find anywhere else. Great location in comparison to the beach 🏝️ 🌊 so, you can eat something then head to the beach! Great 😌 outdoor patio area. Food has high prices due do it being so close in proximity to the beach!!! 🏖️🐚 Service was average. Nothing stood out. Tables, floors, and bathrooms were dirty.

Very cozy small beach community vibe. It has great hamburgers, sandwiches, salads and a bar. Walking distance to the beach. Surrounded by other restaurants so it's a nice place to check out. Parking is challenging unfortunately

I had a grilled cheese and tomato soup. The bread was basically garlic toast, and it was good. The tomato soup had a lot of black pepper in it, and yet was also a little sweet. I wasn't a fan. The lady at the register was nice, and there was live music in the bar.

This spot is really amazing! Nice friendly sevice, good food and reasonable prices. We had the Cheeseburger with fries. It was delicious. They have a choice of different beers at the counter and a beautiful patio. We had a real happy good time at your spot. Next time, we're in Ventura we come again - promise. First off, I have to give a huge shout-out to Jose, who works the parking lot. He is hands down one of the happiest and most positive people I’ve ever met. Rain or shine, he greets everyone with a smile and sets the tone for the whole night before you even step inside. He’s an inspiration and honestly part of the reason I look forward to coming back. Inside, the experience only gets better thanks to Elizabeth, the bartender. She’s the kind of bartender you hope to find but rarely do — friendly, attentive, and unbelievably good at what she does. Whether you want something classic or one of her recommendations, she nails it every time. Her drinks are always on point, and she somehow manages to keep everything moving smoothly no matter how busy it gets. Between the incredible staff, good vibes, and great drinks, this bar has become my go-to. If you’re looking for a place where the people make you feel at home and the service is top-notch, this is it.

I have been a regular customer at Dukes with many of my family members for over 10 years. Dukes is also a place we take all of our visitors to eat either for their wonderful breakfasts, lunches, or wide variety of foods for dinner. A special favorite is Jose, who always greets us and makes us feel so welcome like a member of the Duke’s family whenever we come. The food is wonderful, but my favorite is the staff and the friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend Dukes whether you’re local or a visitor to Ventura. Dukes is also handy if you’re shopping on Seward Avenue or hanging out on Seaward beach. A warm greeting from Jose is just the beginning of a great experience at Dukes.

Had a great dinner with family - food was very good - tacos, burgers, dogs, and patty melt. Good selection of drinks from the bar - mixed, beers, some wine. Very casual place but a lot of local character. Steps from the beach.

It melted as it was handed to me, as soon as I got it in my hands I saw a spalt on their counter. By the time I go to the parking lot half of it had dripped all over the concrete. I'm not sure if this was due to the flavor I chose or perhaps a newbie employee that served it incorrectly. The atmosphere is great and they have an abundant menu but unfortunately I was given a faulty one

A MUST TRY spot in Ventura! This place offers such a unique ice cream experience right by the water. The presentation alone is worth the trip. It is picture-perfect and totally Instagram worthy. We couldn’t get enough of the Nutella-stuffed Fishzookies, which are crispy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside. Pair it with creamy ice cream and wow. If you're anywhere near Ventura, do yourself a favor and treat yourself. This place is a delight for the senses!

I usually go to Toppers in Gonzales Rd. But the last two times the same lady was with a very bad attitude. She is so rude and her face is showing a really bad attitude about the customer service. I work in a restaurant too and I know that work with people is hard but this is not an excuse. I think that the customer service news to be a priority all the time. Also, I don’t know the name of this lady, but the cashier name in my receive is Dulce. Please, try to be more polite and nice. Thanks.

Ordered a turkey bacon sandwich and there was more veggies then meat no bacon and I love bacon..salad was huge and enough dressing, cookie was good along with the ice cream. first time ordering frm this place ... will give another try but I think I'll order in instead of delivery

We were told Toppers have good pizza so we came and found out for ourselves that Toppers have good pizza. The ranch does taste really good. The salad was fresh with no soggy leafy greens. The workers did a really good job with keeping this place sanitized for new customers to come without getting sick.

The Gonzalez location is the worst. Either you’re followed around by older ladies while making your salad, or you’re dealing with miserable employees. I’ve never had these issues at any other location. Hadn't been or picked up from this location for quite some time but made the mistake of going in and its always the same type of service.

We ordered a medium pepperoni with pineapple and breadsticks. I am not one much for pizza but this was exceptionally great pizza. The sauce was good. Cooked perfectly. Service we amazing. The design and interior was fun. Arcade. Salad bar. I don't live in the area but I would travel here just for the pizza again. Peter and cindi were the ones the helped us. Service was great. We had to order the cookie pan. It was also so worth it.

The pizza was good and had fresh ingredients. It was the first time I'd been there, and we had some wings that were alright, but the spice wasn't my palate's delight on those. Overall, it is a good place with nice views from the landing outside the upstairs bar area.

Smaller museum worth visiting if you are in the area, Mullens, Seabees and Commemorative Air Force are nearby if you need more incentive. Make sure however, that you check the schedule, and don't go when there is an event there and check the hours of course. I thought I would go to a model hobby event there then spend some time looking at the real cars. BIG mistake, as they used the walkways to put the hobby show and blocked access to the cars. While it is nice for the club to be able to put on the show there, I was expecting a hall for this, especially since they reached out through the national chapter of the hobby event. Instead there was limited space for the vendors and model judging event. So neither really fulfilled my expectations, though I am glad I went, the model trains were really nice. I might go there again, but who knows when that will be. This was my first trip to LA in some decades.

An incredible collection! Many cars were privately owned and kept in great condition. Cars and coffee meets on the first Sunday of every month are usually very busy.

It was a great afternoon of a little automotive and gamer history. I thoroughly enjoyed this camper a farmer made in Oklahoma before he migrated to California with his family during the Dust Bowl.

Pretty cool place. I'm not sure if I would classify it as a museum since it's kinda random and several vehicles are for sale. Maybe more of a collection. Totally worth the trip though. I really like the collection of old campers!

A must see for fans of vintage and eclectic cars. Loved exploring the Murphy Auto Museum looking at its great collection of historical campers, model trains and cars. Brought back a lot of great memories! Adults and kids alike would enjoy the experience.

It's a whole vibe. I recommend yoga with friends. Also, the beach is great, the access to the harbor (and ocean) is also great, and the parking is fantastic. What a gem.

I love Marina Park, specifically on a hot day. Jumping into the water to cool off is wonderful. This park does have a lot of traction since its at the beach like most beaches in the summer. But with that said the city keeps it very clean. If been coming here for decades and I enjoy it every single time.

Love this park. Plenty of grass to chill on with the kiddos, a nice park for the kids, a massive ship that has zip line and right on the beach. The waves can be a bit rough but still a nice spot.

Marina Park is a beautiful and relaxing place to spend time with family and friends. The park is clean, well-maintained, and has plenty of open space to enjoy fresh air and nature. It’s right by the water, which makes the atmosphere peaceful and refreshing. The playground is perfect for children, with safe and fun equipment to keep them entertained. Restrooms are available and well-kept, which is very convenient for visitors. The park is also dog-friendly, so it’s a great place to bring pets for a walk or playtime.

A clean and fun park with many amenities. There is a decent sized free parking lot as well as some street parking. The large grass area is great for picnics and family gatherings, flying kites, or playing with friends. There is a large play pirate ship at the sand for the kiddos. We saw many people bring their dogs here. There are also dog bag stations throughout the park. A meandering sidewalk leads you to the beach, dunes, or out along the peninsula. There are areas for fishing harbor side and ocean side. There are also plenty of benches throughout the park and along the sidewalk path. Great for relaxing and watching the sunset. The city does a great job of keeping up the park.

If you love great patios in beach cities, this spot should be on your list. With a solid beer selection, a variety of other drinks, tasty food, and a laid-back vibe, it’s a great place to hang out. Enjoy a massive patio, spacious dining room, brewery merch shop, TVs for catching the game, and a windowed view of the brewing area—plus, Tesla chargers are conveniently located across the street. The service is excellent—staff members are friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure you have everything you need. Even during busy hours, the wait time is short, and food comes out hot and fresh. Whether you come for a casual meal or to enjoy their craft beers, it’s always a pleasant experience.

Great local brewery with quality beer and food. The patio is spacious and blends seamlessly into the restaurant. Good arcade games including a couple pinball machines. Beer made on site is top notch

I ordered the chicken milanese sandwich, accompanied by a guactober beer, and a beached. There was so much flavor in the sandwich that it didn’t need the side of ranch but also didn’t hurt to put some it. The service was spectacular they didn’t rush us at all from the moment we got there until they closed.

We were there for an event so I didn't take pictures. But I had the fish and chips and it was excellent in the beer. Batter on the fish was really great. The only negative is that I do not drink and they did not have the n/a beer that was listed on the menu. We were there during a Dodgers game so it was very loud but it was pleasant.

Stopped in to try their beer and get dinner to go. Bartenders were great, friendly and welcoming. The dinner we got was very good. And their beer is very good (I tried a few West Coast IPAs)

Lovely brewpub in Ventura. Indoor or outdoor seating with lots of space. Food was solid pub food with tasty cauliflower bites our appetizer choice. Would order again. Sandwiches were above average.

Our recent journey with Island Packers to Santa Cruz Island & Painted Cave was truly memorable. As a wildlife photography studio devoted to documenting California’s coast, we were impressed by the crew’s professionalism, depth of knowledge, and genuine respect for the environment. From the moment we arrived at the harbor, everything ran smoothly. Boarding was easy, the staff was welcoming, and shared fascinating insights about the islands and local wildlife throughout the day. Highlights included a breathtaking visit to Painted Cave, spotting hundreds of dolphins, and watching harbor seals bask on sunlit rocks. The views from the boat were stunning, and there was ample time to soak in the scenery both from the water and on the island itself. For anyone planning a Channel Islands trip, we recommend packing light, dressing in layers, and always keeping your camera close. We’ve included a selection of our favorite images from the journey. Island Packers offers cruises to several of the Channel Islands. We went out to Santa Cruz Island and the ride was about an hour and a half each way. While en route, the crew keeps an eye out for wildlife and will take a slight detour and stop briefly for wildlife sightings which will add a few minutes to the travel time. The captain won’t go far enough off course to have a significant impact travel time. We stopped briefly for sea ions and dolphins on the way out and then again for a dolphin feeding frenzy and on the way back to the harbor. The action was right next to the boat! The lower deck has a snack bar with breakfast items, lunch items, chips, candy bars, coffee, and alcoholic beverages. The terminal has a shop for souvenirs as well as some supplies. The staff is amazing.

The trip out to the island was wonderful. But we had to stop to pick up day trip visitors and there were far too many people on the boat during the trip back to shore. It was not really pleasant waiting for an hour to get that many people on board and then have my seat stolen by some random rude woman with an entitlement issue.

This ferry is part of the fun when visiting Channel Islands National Park. The captain will seek out wildlife and point it out to the passengers, and of course the ride itself is full of beautiful views over the ocean. They will also take all of your gear and even a kayak to the island for your trip. Just make sure to book tickets before the popular times sell out.

"Island Packers" provides various trips from Oxnard and Ventura to the Channel Islands National Park, which is situated in the Pacific Ocean between 12 and 70 miles off the California Coast. There are different options for visitors who want to explore the islands or simply take a boat ride around the islands. There is so much incredible wildlife to see in the ocean near the islands and on the islands as well. Whales (seasonal), dolphins, sea lions, various seabirds, and so much more. The reservations are available either online or over the phone. There is plentiful paid parking ($10.35 per day) by the headquarters of Island Packers in Ventura. One has to pay via an app with a credit or debit card. They have a gift shop and restrooms there. Their personnel is very friendly and professional.

Fantastic!!! We took the boat over to Santa Cruz island to camp at Scorpion and the cruise over was amazing. Saw 2 humpback whales and hundreds (really) of dolphins all racing towards the boat to play in the bow wave and the wake of that boat. 100% would recommend!

Beautiful and smooth ride to Santa Cruz Island thanks to Island Packers crew. Their instructions were easy to follow and made the whole process simple. Plenty of drinks and snacks for purchase. Be ready to see some wildlife on the way!

Best place to hike and chill that's not too far from the city. So many different trails, from easy to hard, so make sure you have the proper footwear, or have walking sticks. One section is very slippery. But, being in nature is so worth it!

This is a wonderful place for a medium hike. I like to come here, look at the scenery and have fresh air. I like the nature that our God has bless us with. See my pictures and judge for yourself. Like always my brothers and sisters enjoy what God has given us.

For a few months each year this is one of the most beautiful parks in California, and an absolute gem of trails of varying difficulty and perfect for hiking and trail running. There is plenty of parking, facilities of all kinds including very clean bathrooms, and fields and picnic areas so it's great to take the family for an afternoon.

Love arroyo. Been hiking and picnic’ing here for years. Dog days are fun. And now there is an area for kids in the back. Enjoy the hikes keep it clean please.

Plenty of open space for the dogs to run around in as well as open trails to walk around , trails are easy to moderate with good views of surrounding areas. There is a small fee to get in like around $3 but there is also restrooms and a playground for younger kids

My dogs absolutely love Arroyo Verde Park. It’s a beautiful, spacious green park surrounded by scenic hills and filled with friendly dogs and owners. There’s plenty of room to run, explore, and play—and every visit brings new dog (and human) friends. It’s clean, welcoming, and one of our favorite spots to enjoy nature together. Highly recommend for anyone with active pups who love to socialize!

It’s a wonderful hike . It’s kids friendly and good for all ages. You can choose according to your comfort how steep you want to go. Beautiful view from the top. It has park for all age group kids and picnic ground with benches and bbq pits.. Highly recommend.

A great park to take your furry friends and enjoy some out door time. Separate area available at back of park for small dogs and large dogs without leashes. And a ton of walking area with leashes.

I love this park! It’s well maintained although the road in the park really should get repaved. If you drive further back there is a sink near picnic tables that has running water and there’s another faucet near tables past the playground. Not sure if the water is potable so I can’t recommend drinking it. There’s a dog park that has a fence around it and it looks like dogs enjoy it. I don’t talk to any of the dogs in person but they sure look happy. There’s courts (I’m assuming tennis) located to the left when you first drive in and they look well kept. The bathrooms are clean and always had toilet paper when I had to use them. The fields are really big and I’ve been here during little league and it gets packed! Not all the time but sometimes. Lots of shade to park under and great place to just chill.

Great park with plenty of open spaces. The park had several parties going on with plenty of space.🦋 Were all around the park as a bonus. Great place to walk play ball or bring your 🐕 dog to fenced in area for social time.

Beautiful park BUT read to the bottom! The parking to get to the dog park may be too far to walk for some people. I have a small dog. There is only one bench and bring your own water. If new, you may not understand how to open the gates. WARNING: There is a woman on the back side with a van she lives in with a LOT of small dogs she puts outside in a pen. At least one dog can scale the fencing and will attack. She knows this but doesn't always pay much attention as her dog easily got over the fence and made it to my dog and attacked him. Animal control has been out there but do nothing.

Very nice beach! A little sad about the paid parking but it definitely makes the parking lot safer!! It's $10 for the whole day and if you do hourly you get a free first hour. After that I think it's $1-5 per hour. I'd say the whole day parking is SO worth it!

Sunset was amazing. Waves crashing on the breakwaters with the islands in the distance. We watched people playing with their dogs. Free parking. They are still replenishing the beach but there are areas to enjoy the view

My wife and I ate at the Ox and Ocean located at the Mandalay Beach hotel resort for breakfast. The restaurant has a nice inside decorum. We had brunch and the food was very delicious. We definitely recommend the strawberry fruit smoothie! The service was excellent and all the staff were very helpful. We had some specific questions about dietary restrictions and they always the answer to our questions promptly. They had a nice outdoor seating and outdoor bar area, which looks nice to enjoy on a sunny day. Later in the day, we ordered food from the restaurant to enjoy by the pool. The cheeseburger and wings were amazing. They were seasoned well and quite tasty. If you are staying at the hotel or in the area it’s a good place to grab a bite!

Looks really nice. Staff is actually really chill. However.... Let's get into it. Wasn't busy at all. Bad sign. Got my food order wrong. Another bad sign. Got my drink order wrong, ANOTHER bad sign. Asked for them to make a different drink. That one went ok. Staff was messing with climate control behind me not even knowing how to use it. Causing bar area to be uncomfortable. Then the manager came over and started causing a scene about f'ing things up in front of customers. SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. Talk to your staff behind the curtains. Absolute embarrassing and insanely unprofessional. Overall this was a really bad experience. I'll write a different review for the actual hotel. But the bar area and food was probably some of the worst I've ever had in my entire life. Got fish tacos. Bit into the smallest tacos ever. Spit it out on second bite. Couldn't even finish one. Hopefully I don't get sick. Needless to say. I would not recommend this place for happy hour or bar food. Ever. Hopefully it improves. Because the location is excellent. All a miss managed issue usually and that's how it goes. I get that it's a chain under Hilton ownership. Let's hope they get their act together In the future. Staff: chill. But really need to speak amongst themselves and NOT in front of customers. They do it the whole time making everyone uncomfortable. Cleanliness: very clean. Food: horrible. Decor: nice with a beach vibe. Bathrooms: N/A didn't use them.

Aga was a character and a fantastic server tonight. She made our anniversary truly special. Her customer service was exceptional—she made us feel so comfortable, almost like family. Despite a minor inconvenience, her professionalism and warmth stood out. We would definitely come back just because her service was that great! Ps: the burger and fries were phenomenal!

4.5/5 stars Made a reservation for dinner on Sunday, but it wasn’t busy, so I don’t think a reservation was needed. This restaurant is located inside a hotel. Parking in the garage was free with validation. The menu has a mix of small and large plates that can be shared. My bf and I got the yellowtail aguachile ($21), short rib bao buns ($24), swordfish ($39), and lobster pappardelle ($48). I was pleasantly surprised with all the dishes, but I wish the dishes came out one at a time instead of all at the same time, because some of the dishes were cold/lukewarm. The yellowtail aguachile was fresh and tender. The short rib in the bao buns were quite tender, although could have been warmer temperature-wise. The swordfish shocked me because some pieces were super tender. Swordfish is usually dry to me, so I was impressed by the tender parts. The swordfish was cold when it came out, but the waiter was able to warm it up for me. The sauce was yummy and light, and I liked the turnip and eggplant. I was impressed by the large lobster pieces in the pappardelle. The lobster was pretty tender. The sauce for the pasta was not very strong. Overall, I would recommend all 4 dishes we got! On the pricey side, but good for a special occasion.

This place was pretty good! Especially for a motel spot. It was pretty busy on a Saturday. We sat outside by the pool. There were heaters to keep us warm. There's a bar outside and plenty of seating indoors and out. Fairly easy to park and the parking is validated. The service was nice. Our waitress, Aga, greeted us with a smile and was very accommodating. The food: We ordered the yellowtail aguachile and maple bourbon brussels to start. The aguachile had a nice spice to it but needed more avocado to balance it out. The brussel sprouts were a bit dry but had a nice crisp to them. There was barely any maple bourbon added and we did not see the toasted pecans. The bacon and dried cranberries were a nice addition and were definitely needed to add some flavor. I'm not sure if the topping was parmesan cheese?! That should have been noted because I'm lactose intolerant and the cheese was not mentioned on the menu. We also ordered the grilled pork chop. This was good but needed more salt, especially in the squash purée. It was served with sprouts instead of chives - Another random discrepancy in the menu vs what they actually serve. Overall, it was worth checking out if you're staying there but not sure we'll go again.

Great restaurant but if you are curious about the almonds, here they are! Just almonds and not super special or worth the price. Tri tip sandwich is excellent and everyone else loved their food. The ambiance is great. Comfy and spacious seating

Our server Aga was absolutely wonderful! She really made the experience dining here x10 better as the food were also really tasty. Everything we had was really beautifully presented and tasted great. Scallop dish with the carrots however was too salty, but everything else was perfect. Highly recommend the Crab croquette and the fries with the O&O Burgers were soo good. Again recommended the Strawberry Hand Pie dessert and she was on point, it really was delicious and I don't normally eat a lot of desserts. Highly recommend if your near the area or staying at the hotel.

I cannot speak more highly about Bright Spark. Its a must go every-time we drive through Ventura. I am not sure if I should mention how delicious their food recipes are first or highlight their incredible beers. Lets start Beers :) First off, everyone of them is a masterclass in brewing and super drinkable. They also have a beer for everyone, who likes beer that is -- they got an amazing Pilsner style beer called The Sauce which is light, tasty and worthwhile and even more awesome is their hoppy-pilsner, Greener Pastures. These are in cans, so I aways grab some to take home and share. But personally, my favorite at the moment because I love a Big Dark Roasty stouts is their Anniversary Ale. At 11% this sipper is a perfectly balanced imperial stout offering an incredible mouthful of flavors without being sweet, which is often the down side to ambitious stouts like this. The rest of the beers are amazing too -- their west Coat IPA, their golden stout among others.. Ok, forget the beers -- this place has food options I wish I had here in Santa Cruz. Like their fried chicken sandwich and smash burger. Which one do I get ? Wait, they have delicious not-too big pizzas options. So difficult to choose. My wife loves coming here because she is very picky about salads and this place rocks the veggies. And this place was designed for families, so bring the team. Love this place. -Austin

We recently had our daughters first birthday here in the event space and it was perfect!!! Although the room was a little warm because of the kitchen it was the perfect day. Everything was amazing. The food, service, and space was just excellent. Linzy was great to work with and was very prompt in her responses to me with working out details. Also a great place to just come in for lunch on the weekends. Always mellow and great food and great for families.

One of the most unique and delicious pizzas I’ve ever had. They make personal-sized, thin crust pan pizzas - I tried the potato dukkah and the flavors blew me away. Very non-traditional but oh so tasty. Would love to come back and try the Detroit-style. Beer was 🔥 too. EDIT - I think this style of pizza is referred to as “south shore bar” style, originating in Massachusetts? Would be curious if the owners can confirm. Anyway, very good pizza.

I had the chicken sandwich. It was phenomenal spicy, tasty and awesome. The service is wonderful. They offer house made curated brew. Please try and enjoy. I would suggest the pomegranate roseMary sangria as quoted "Thanksgiving in a glass".

We decided to stop here to sit out some of the rush hour traffic. It was a great decision, we were here for an hour, but only arrived at our destination 30 minutes later. The place is super nice, and even allows dogs inside. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich and a Cesar salad with chicken. OMG, that chicken sandwich was amazing!!! They don't call it a Nashville Hot, but they easily could and it would be one of the best I've had. The Cesar salad was really, really good too . Pretty sure they make their own dressing. The beer was also pretty good. If you are in the area, you have to stop in here.

Cute park with playground a few grills with picnic tables and tennis court. You can take a walk and enjoy the view of the harbor. The only thing I don't like is that there's no soap in the bathroom!!

Had my son's dad's celebration of life here and it was absolutely the perfect place that people that take care of the park are so nice and they were so good to us we really had a great time and no one gave us any problems all the people that walk their dogs there and live around there and guard the park sort of there is nothing that I can say about this park it is a blessed place

Nice place to watch boats and people. Lots of grass and nice playground for the kids. Bathrooms are about typical of a park. We saw a sea lion!!

This is a fantastic spot to relax with family or friends. We especially enjoyed Coastal Cone Ice Cream, with their unique Taiyaki fish-shaped waffle cones filled with ice cream—it was a highlight! Margarita Villa Mexican restaurant was decent, though not particularly memorable. There’s plenty of parking, and the beach is just a short walk away. Unfortunately, the boat rental was closed on Sunday, so we missed the chance to ride the swan boats, which would have been a great family activity.

I think we hit every shop in this place looking for trinkets to take home to my family I found a few and of course after finding the little things I was wanting the very last shop would have been the best to purchase at. Don't remember the name of the shop but they had some great deals. Bottom line the shops in the harbor that are left there or nice to shop through and the people were great.

Always a pleasure to be here! Not so crowded, can always find a parking spot even on the weekend, love to walk around, have some seafood or ice cream, fun doing the boating, life is better with the cooler weather here.

We love to take the boats out. We usually pay to rent them for an hour or so. It's a fun activity. My kids love it!!

There is a lot to see just walking around. Little shops to go into. Food. Drink. You GOT to rent a paddle boat or kayak for at least an hour. Its safe and interesting and beautiful. I saw seals, fish, and birds close enough for a thrill but far enough to be safe. Some of the paddle boats are in the shape of big swans! There are also electric boats with sun shade that carry a small group.

The scenery is beautiful. The beach wasn't crowded at all,but it was a little chilly that day.

Hit the new BOBQ by The SEA shop for some Thai Ice Tea -- met the owners, couple of very friendly, helpful guys. Shop is in the Soft Opening phase, but is already comfortable, clean and inviting. They have plenty of seating, inside and out on the patio. Their selection of card games gives it a homey feel. Their Thai Ice Tea was really good -- Daughter and I have been trying different Boba spots lately and we both agree: Boba by the Sea is the BEST we've had yet! Wish we lived closer?! If you're in the Ventura Harbor area and need some good Milk/Boba Tea made by a couple down to Eaetg guys that KNOW what they're doing? STOP IN AND GIVE EM A SHOT!

I went here with my boyfriend and the staff was super nice and friendly. Although we did in total three rooms and each were great rooms overall, we had issues with two rooms we had puzzles left unlocked and flashlight batteries were out of juice. So for a great chain of escape rooms Id say they have very mediocre determination to have their guest leave with a good time.

Super fun! Loved that I could do this with my family and see how our different experiences and interests lend to solving the room. Great location & nice staff too.

Nice place for kids (and even adults). 22$ per adult for 2 hours of mini golf. Covers 36 tracks. They have plenty of options for drinks and snacks. Lots of gaming options.

Really fun, classic miniature golf. We like to go every few months. The earlier the better. It starts getting packed after 12 on weekends. Plenty of arcades, bumper boats, bumper carts, and indy cars.

The course on the left needs ALL of its tees redrilled, the course on the right was ok. The plants were well cared for throughout but the course itself was falling into disrepair in many places, and the water features were all sad looking. The fort needs some serious love. Very limited snack menu availability, lots of things listed but very little actually available for purchase. 1 person was running arcade prizes, the snacks, AND golf sales at any one time. Meh? We killed 90min but not sure I'll go back. We've been to other locations which are nicer than this one.

Golf n Stuff is awesome. I’ve been coming here for years and have many fond memories of it. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a fun, chill place to mini golf 🥰

Great spot! Visible from the highway and easy to get to. Golf is a ton of fun, and there's 36 holes across two courses. You can either pay by the course or get a 2 hour pass, and both are reasonably priced ($18 for the course, $22 for the pass). The arcade is fun, with a tiny but mighty assortment of different games. There's also go karts, bumper cars, and bumper boats onsite, too. Good for parties or just to drop in, but it can get busy on the weekend.

Had a good time here. Felt like the prices are a little high but still had fun. Courses are challenging and fun. Didn't check out the arcade although there are a lot of games to play.

A really great adventure golf location. Great vibe, cool courses, good music. It only loses a star for me because the prices for kids are way too steep. I have an 11 and 9 year old and they had to pay the full adult rate because they are over 40 inches, which I find a little bit ridiculous. Other than that it was a really fun time 👍

I absolutely LOVE the botanical gardens, it is such a gorgeous walk with increasingly beautiful views of the ocean as you ascend the trail. The plants are magnificent, with different regions showcasing Chilean, Californian, Mediterranean, and South African plant varieties. Fridays are free entry and Wednesday and Friday dogs are allowed. I visit every time I have friends visiting and it’s wonderful to see how the plants look in all the different seasons! Could not recommend more.

Great place for the Ventura ocean view. Not interested in the plants there to be hornest, as some were bone dry. Also great to get your steps in and hick up a hill.

Gardens were beautiful. My only complaint was that we got locked out and had to walk all the way around. I think it would be common courtesy to let us know when we bought tickets at 3:30, they would have warned us that we would be locked out if not back by 5:00.

Started the morning at Ventura Botanical Gardens, which has 160+ plant species and spectacular views of the California coastline. It has nearly 3.5 miles of walkways and over 100,000 plants from Five Mediterranean climates throughout the world."

Even though this was a bit off-season and a lot of the flowers had turned, it was a beautiful walk. The people were so nice, a great way to get some exercise.

We walked the trial, and it was magnificent! I recommend bringing snacks or having a picnic. Many areas to rest and enjoy the beauty of nature. Staff is welcoming and dedicated.

Everything was excellent. We enjoyed the lemon pepper wings and the pepperoni and sausage pizza both were flavorful and well-prepared. The salad bar was fresh and offered a great variety. The entire establishment was very clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend!

Toppers is never about the pizza. The pizza is the least memorable part. It’s vanilla mediocre at best. The salad bar, where you can top it all off but with only one trip? My advice? Lots of layers. Use pressure to condense your veggies. Dressing. Cram in what you can and stack it high… The side salad goes a long way! The cheesy garlic bread went really well for our group of 9. We dined in the center circle, like hungry knights of the round table. Surrounded by an airy, open atmosphere. With happy cheers from the beers and drinks of the adjacent brewery. The decor is modern, artful, and relaxed. The staff were eager - but not too eager - to please. We were cravin’ but did not cave in to the cookie pizza ala mode. Our group left satiated and satisfied. While there are other Toppers all throughout Ventura County, this is one of the tops!

This toppers location has different vibe than any other toppers. The place is more like a industrial looks from the inside. And has a brewing place next door. Parking is limited. Some parking spots are out the curb. Staff are nice.

I was visiting Ventura an thought I would give it a shot. Well I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a craft beer. Beer was very good and I would go back for that. The pizza was amazing, crust, sauce, cheese, pepperoni, the thing was cooked perfectly. Im sad I only tried the pepperoni as Im sure there are some other great specialty pizzas. Go here to get a beer and get some of the best pizza you'll ever have!

Tons is seating! I love this spot. Great food, great drinks, and a super cool “birds nest” up at the Transmission Brewing that has a slight ocean view.

Toppers in Ventura - A Delightful Surprise While Toppers is a familiar chain, this Ventura location truly exceeded expectations. This specific location defied the norm with its expansive seating options, an attached bar, a spacious outdoor patio in the rear, and captivating interior design – easily one of the most fun restaurant setups I've encountered. Food: We ordered 3 medium pizzas, with the bill around $65. The Hot Honey pizza is a 10/10; honey on pizza is my new favorite combination. We also ordered the Spicy Garlic Italian and Hawaiian Heat, both solid. Overall, this Toppers was a 4.8/5 experience, and the uniqueness of the location provided a memorable dining experience. If you're in the area, this Toppers in Ventura is a great spot for a group of friends/family to enjoy a meal.

This place is great. I mean great. Their pizza 🍕 is sooo good. And they have a salad bar and there is constantly someone cleaning it up. Toppers the people who do the salad bar are just great. I love coming here.

Awesome bowling alley. Not a super fan of the bowling pins being on strings but it was still fun. Great selection of bowling balls, bowling shoes were comfy, food was excellent quality. We had chicken tenders and fries, and amthe soft pretzels with cheese. We used the Groupon for six guests. Great value because bowling is expensive.

We went here for an impromptu date night, and it was a ton of fun! We had never been before and wanted to go bowling so we gave it a try. The wait for bowling was a little lengthy, but we expected that. We ended up getting food and drinks at the bar while we waited. The food took a while to come out and the drinks were quick. Food was tasty. The bowling was a lot of fun! One downside was that we could not transfer our bill from the bar over to the bowling lanes. We either had to close out at the bar or leave our lane to order more drinks at the bar. Overall, it was a great night and the music was perfect! We will definitely be back!

My Family and I had a great time here it was a nice and fun family experience. Our son had a great time and collected over 1,000 tickets. We want to thank Juan and Brianna for helping us out in handing our prizes and we hope to come again soon and have an other fun family experience.

Manager Leonard is out of his mind. He is a bully and was trying to get me to make a scene. He let a party of 10 with 3 kids walk out the door because he is just unhappy with life. Also took him 20 Minutes to process a refund which he had to call and text other employees to figure out how to do so. Also when he had my credit card he took out his phone and looked like he took a picture of it and texted it to somebody. All other employees were nice and welcoming but not Leonard.

Real great time at Bowlero, my family and I usually come for bowling. Today we came in for the arcade games. We had a successful day 1 hit gave us 1000 tickets and we ended up getting more than we would get at other arcade places.. Today was out lucky day I guess haha .. Juan and Brianna were great team members there great attitudes and smiles ! Thank you guys !

The food was just okay; we tried the Korean dog and Korean chicken with sauce. It was a bit challenging to find a table, which made our visit less enjoyable. The drinks were too sugary and tasted overly artificial. Overall, it was an average experience, and I don't think I would return for more. Nothing really stood out to make it memorable.

If you wait patiently enough, roaches will appear near the counter. My mom and I saw two today near the register. The employee was nice to notice and take action so there was no issue with customer service. This is more towards the owner or manager of the establishment. Please clean your counters and set traps for roaches 🪳. Lost my appetite

Delicious food at every corner. I can't wait to go back and try a few more places. This facility hosts multiple restaurants. They have a ton of different food, drink, and dessert options. I highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area. I had Ramin and it was delicious..🙌🤙🤟

We have tried practically everything in the annex and can honestly say that it is all good. From the pasta, pizza, deliciously made coffee and smoothies, chicken, adult beverages, ramen and so much more! Great environment to bring friends and have a great time although the music can be a little loud sometimes. Once you're done eating go and grab some ice cream and complete the day with a smile.

Rental paddle boards, kayaks, electric boats, Wildlife Safari Tours...everyone takes reservations. Tons of options for shopping, dining, spa etc. And great playgrounds for kids plus a board walk around seabridge island community

It’s a beautiful island to go and visit with your friends or family, it’s a hub to go for Chanel Island, kayaking and fishing. All the restaurants are so cute and good food, try to plan a visit to stay whole day and explore the island and beach, rent a bike in afternoon and add some joy to your stay. Try the local restaurants and get a ferry to Channel island

My daily walk 3 miles from Hemlock to around the island and back. Wonderful air, I can breath without car fumes. Only if your a walker, runner, etc. the two public toilets on the path are maintained by the City of Oxnard and for some reason are not very hygienic. Urinals don't flush, go uncleaned, overflow. Sometimes one side is open the other is closed. I don't see many vagrants in this area so why is City Maintenance or City Corps making such a disgraceful mark on this beautiful island walk?

We keep both our 48 ft power boat and a small 22 ft sailboat in Seabridge Marina and like it the best of any of the marinas we've been in over decades of sailing and boating. The general manager/dock master Doug Green is friendly, knowledgable, helpful and keeps the marina in "Bristol" condition. The recent addition of the Raven Tavern to the marina's eateries makes it all the better! Seabridge is highly recommended if you're lucky enough to find a slip, but if you're not a boater Seabridge is still a great place to just spend the day. There's a free public dock and small launching ramp, tot lot, plenty of free parking, and rental gondola rides for that special date! Seabridge is an excellent place to bring your kayaks or stand-up paddle boards with calm water and easy public access.

Amazing experiance! Really respectful of the wildlife while allowing us to enjoy getting as close as possible! Crew was super friendly and boat was pretty spacious. Can't wait to try out some more tours!

I loved doing the wildlife tour. We saw whales, dolphins, seals and seagulls everywhere. I plan on using them again when I come back to hike and camp. The boat captain was great at explaining what signs to look for when spotting a whale.

We took a day trip to Anacapa Island and it was awesome! All the crew was friendly, informative and safety conscious. One of the guides stayed on the island and was available . On the way back we encountered dolphins and the boat stayed in that area for a bit so that everyone can see them. It was great. On the island itself, we hiked with small kids, all the trails are flat and easy to navigate and the views are breathtaking! Definitely recommend !

Went and visited the NP channel island. The ferry crew was over the top helpful and knowledgeable about the national park and the wildlife. On our trip we seen ton of dolphins and was luckily enough to see lots of whales. On the boat they do have great hot chocolate and other small snacks to purchase at great prices (Bring cash). Will definitely book with this company next time but will chose a different island as Anacapa was full of seagulls.

I was under the impression the boat would spend a few minutes at the arch for pictures on the return trip. They made an announcement they were under a time crunch and pretty much bolted. I was lucky to get a quick shot driving away! Maybe if they didn't treat adults like two year olds getting on and off the boat, they'd have more time.

At Harbor Cove, Surfer's Knoll, and Kiddie Beach, the 3 beaches opposite the Ventura Harbor, I seldom see scary homeless people, which is a good thing. There are lots of restaurants and shops at the harbor. It's a nice place for family, date night or a good place to walk. Harbor Mart, the opposite side of the Harbor, at Portside, has fantastic hamburgers. (Check their hours of operation.)

Beautiful place to walk around. Boat rentals are available. Some people are paddle boarding. Parking is not difficult. Pets are welcome here.

A really great place to spend the afternoon or go on a dinner date! This place it’s fun for adults and kids. They have winetasting lots of restaurants and ice cream and chocolate shops. During the summer they regularly have music performances comedy shows or a DJ. This is a great place to experience Ventura.

A nice chill and laidback harbor view! The Ventura Harbor Village also offers a lot of nice restaurants and bars to dine in. Water sports activities and rent paddle boats add to its attraction list.

Horrible place , the baby area is never being monitored children far too big are frequently in it. Unfortunately one of the kids that where far too big peed inside the baby area while the brother accidentally stepped on the pee and walked all over the place . When the employees went to clean up the mess, she did not sanitize every area that had pee. When the manager came out they still continue to keep the baby area open for other kids to come in unaware of what had happened . They don’t properly clean , the baby area should have been closed after that especially in those conditions! Until properly cleaned.

This place was great! It had been so rainy for these past few weeks we couldn't get any really good playground time in and this place offered the perfect solution. There's multiple slides to ride down, a whole ball throwing, dumping and shooting area that my toddler absolutely loved and they even have a smaller area for the younger kids so they don't miss out on the fun. Highly recommend this for a couple hour day trip, 2-3 hours would be the most I could spend here but they do have the option for day long play so you could leave, refuel and go back. Well worth the cost!

Great for older kids, but the baby area should be more strictly enforced. My little one was almost knocked over repeatedly by much older children running in and out and rough housing. Staff really needs to monitor and enforce the baby area for babies only - bigger kids have the whole rest of the facility to play with!

Brought my kids for my son's birthday 🎉🎂 They had a good time. Easy check in and no waiver to sign. Adults get in free with every paid child admission. $18 for all day pass. Must wear socks or you can buy some there.

This place is fun for kids and adults. Everything is very clean. Not like some other places. Sky zone you need a shower after going in that place. All the staff is friendly. Good place to go when it's raining to let the kids burn off some energy and why not have some fun yourself. Plus there's the annex right down the road for food after play time

Loads of fun for kids and adults!!! Our six-year-old did not want to leave even after two hours of fun! The price to enter is affordable and the facilities are clean. There are vending machines filled with drinks and snacks for the mid-break munchies that everyone is certain to have after burning a lot of calories. Don't miss out on the fun it is worth it. I almost forget to mention that they are open until 9 pm.

This was our 1st time here and the staff was super friendly. They don't make you buy their product if you don't need it (bad skyzone in ventura experience before deciding to try out this place) My 12 year old, who is a full size man child had fun too, Parents are encouraged to play like a kid with their children and not charged extra, process were reasonable and is for ALL DAY! We could come and go as we please too eat or shop to take a break. This place was clean and I saw the staff sanitizing at least every 20 minutes in all areas. They have a cute small area for the toddlers too. Try the big yellow slide, my boys said it was like a roller coaster! We will be back!

A wonderful playground right next to the famous pier. Sand, surf, seagulls, swings, and slides. We had a great time with our toddler.

November 5th, decided to go watch the sunset over Ventura beach! Temperature was beautiful and the atmosphere was also great. Not many people, but a walk up the promenade and back was a good walk. I tried to capture a red sky that had been seen for the past week, sadly it was not meant to be.

One of my favorite funky little bookshops. These places are the goldmines for those of us who don’t mind digging through the many interesting books stacked here and piled there. Fun selection of rare and early/first editions, and I love the eclectic art book and print selections.

Called earlier to see if they had some cookbooks in stock she asked what kind of books and I told her the name she then said this is necessary? And then just said no I don’t have that how could you have looked with one second? I called the Abednego book store and they were happy to find exactly what I was looking for. This place was really a let down.

This is what a bookstore should be. So well stopped that the books overflow from the shelves and form piles on the floor. A store you can get lost in for a while. It gives off very cozy vibes and is a fun store to walk through whenever you're in town.

I came here with my friend (and 3 others) for her birthday to make necklaces/bracelets. We got here around noon and spent combined over $500, checking out around 2:45. We have back around an hour and a half later to pick up our jewelry and had some issues with the placement. I had paid extra for a longer chain so that my charms could be more spread out, and they were all clumped in the front, many of them in the middle blocking each other. I asked if they middle at least could be spaced out and the woman working responded that if i wanted it adjusted i could take it to the location in venice LA, which didn’t sit great with me as I paid almost $165 for the necklace and had already communicated before assembly that I wanted it spaced out. This was obviously frustrating and I it did not get fixed. But the main issue was with my friend’s jewelry whose birthday it was (that day). When paying, she requested that her charms stay in the order she placed them and that the charms be placed two links apart, She also had a bracelet which she placed in order. Upon pickup, the charms were all placed one link apart, were not centered on the chain, one of the necklace charms was placed on the bracelet, and all of the bracelet charms were on one side of the chain, leaving the rest blank. She naturally wasn’t happy with the outcomes and requested that they be adjusted (as per the policy that is clearly and adamantly advertised). The woman working was extremely rude, tried to convince us that the charms were not only one link apart (with us clearly showing that it wasn’t true), which she then realized and went back on. She tried to push back for 5-10 min, while we explained and tried to convince us that it didn’t need to be fixed. She eventually begrudgingly agreed, and We explained that we were visiting from out of town for the day, inquiring about timing, and she told us that they would be ready tonight and that she would text us when they were ready. I forgoed getting mine adjusted to ensure that my friends could be fixed since it was her birthday, which we communicated. We stayed in the area waiting soley for this, and hadn’t received a text by about 6:15 (their close time is listed at 7pm) so we headed back to the store to check in. Immediately the employee told us with a smirk that they were closed and that she didn’t make any adjustments to the jewelry. She was not apologetic at all, and seemed very happy to tell us that she hadn’t done it and she wasn’t going to. It was passive aggressive and very belittling, as she acted when we first brought our adjustments up (which they encouraged us to open them up and do). On top of it all we heard the employees telling other customers that if you purchase more than 8 charms, you get 25% off, which all of us did, and none of us were given the discount. We’ve been to this location before as well as other locations around the us and have never had such bad customer service. We now have to drive to a new location to get ours how we asked for in the first place after spending the mentioned $500+ on top of it being my friend’s birthday. Extremely disappointed and this genuinely should be rectified.

I LOVE this place. A great girls date. I have 3 necklaces I have made here, and I always get compliments. Prices are sooo good, and such a great environment. Seriously the best customer service, everyone is so kind.

10/10 recommend, staff is so friendly and experience was so much fun. There’s so many different charm and chain options and everything is very affordable. It took about 45 minutes to assemble after we picked everything out (for 2 bracelets) and we had time to go eat and walk around downtown Ventura. So much fun! Thank you Brooklyn Charm ✨💖

Attended a crafting event by Jennifer Perkins at Brooklyn Charm and we had a blast. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. Wide array of charms and crafting solutions available.

I went on Saturday after a TikTok went viral. The store was packed but even with all the unexpected business the boss babes running the store handled it with such grace. Always made sure every customer knew what to expect and walk them through the process. Even with the business getting overwhelming attention the staff was nothing but kind, wanting to make everyone feel wanted and welcomed with plenty of kind comments on customers outfits or hairstyles. I got a bracelet with a fat amount of charms and every question i had was answered with attention to detail. I got a text this morning that my bracelet is in the mail. Ive never been so excited to receive a package. I’ll post pics when it arrives 💁‍♀️ but love this biz and would gladly support them in the future!

Go in all the time. High prices for mid quality. Customers have to write down the prices of what they got themselves…. Somehow I still got charged for more than I bought? The younger girls working there are super sweet tho

Such a great adventure! We went for our anniversary and cruised the harbor the sights were beautiful the rise was steady lol. I get motion sick pretty quick and I didn't get when the slightest bit sea sick. I got the rose pedals upgrade and the message on the bottle, totally recommend doing it fellas. It was cool and natural how we "found" bottle. Speaking of bottles bring one with you! There were plastic cups and a wine opener available. Thanks so much! Looking forward to our next adventure!

My husband and I booked Gondola Paradiso for our 3 year anniversary and had an amazing time. Mark made our experience a once in a life time memory. 10/10 would recommend this company as a must do activity while in Oxnard!

Wow! Another great ride! I’m still in awe on how great and romantic it was! Tristin was our Gondolier this time and he did an awesome job showing his skills he had with the boat. This allowed us to get great photos and really take it in. Just the right amount of time to enjoy the cruise. A+ for these two, Mark and Tristin. Thank you for the “swell” ride! We’ll be back and will tell others!

Great way to relax and enjoy the harbor. I think it should be extended to an hour vs 50 minutes. It felt very short to go around the island.

Really enjoying visiting this bookstore whenever I’m in Ventura! I stopped in this afternoon (and ended up purchasing two books). However, I didn’t have the best experience. The cashier didn’t offer any assistance or even a greeting when browsing. She was also very unfriendly when checking out - and seemed in a rush to get back to reading her book. Just not a great experience, especially when visiting an independent bookstore.

A wonderful bookstore with great vibes, super knowledgeable staff, and a wide book selection. They do a great job of making book recommendations too if you’re a little lost! Definitely recommend!

Timbre Books is a cozy little gem tucked right into the heart of Midtown Ventura. It’s the kind of bookstore that feels like home the moment you walk in. The selection is always intentional, with a mix of beloved favorites, indie picks, and titles you didn’t know you needed. I’ve found some great reads here for my Caracol Book Club and always leave feeling inspired by what I discover. In addition to books, there’s a lovely selection of stationery, greeting cards, and small gifts. They also offer gift cards, which make a perfect option for any book lover in your life. The staff is great too. They give you space if you want to wander, but are always kind and happy to help if you have a question. It’s the perfect kind of place for anyone who loves to browse at their own pace. The owners do a fantastic job of hosting events and bringing authors into the shop, creating a welcoming space that feels rooted in community. Whether I’m browsing for myself, picking up a present, or just looking for a quiet moment, Timbre never disappoints. Ventura is lucky to have a independent shop like this. It’s small, but mighty and full of heart.
