Nestled in the heart of Paoay, Ilocos Norte, the San Agustin Church of Paoay is a stunning testament to Baroque architecture that dates back to 1710. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its unique earthquake-barque style, featuring an impressive belfry and robust brick reinforcements.
Paoay Church (St. Augustine Church) – Ilocos Norte Visiting Paoay Church last April was a dream come true. Standing before this magnificent structure was both breathtaking and deeply fulfilling. It’s not just one of the best churches I’ve been to—it’s a national treasure that lives up to every expectation. Known officially as the Church of Saint Augustine, Paoay Church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a prime example of Earthquake Baroque architecture. Construction began in 1694 and was completed in 1710. Its massive, tapering buttresses—some more than a meter thick—were designed to help the church withstand earthquakes, making it both an architectural and engineering marvel of its time. The exterior is dramatic and fortress-like, drawing you in with its centuries-old charm. Inside, the atmosphere is more austere and peaceful, reflecting the simplicity and spirituality of Augustinian design. Many historical artifacts and preserved details from the Spanish colonial era can be seen, making it feel like you’re walking through a living museum of faith and history. One small downside is the parking situation—we had some difficulty finding a proper spot for the van we rented, especially with the limited maneuvering space around the church. If you’re traveling in a larger vehicle, it’s best to arrive early or prepare for a bit of patience. Still, the awe-inspiring presence of the church easily overshadows any minor inconvenience. From its rich heritage to the feeling of reverence it evokes, Paoay Church is more than just a destination—it’s an experience deeply rooted in Filipino identity and devotion.

We arrived in Paoay early in the morning, and wow! the church and the bell tower looked stunning with the sunrise in the background. The soft golden light made everything look even more historic and peaceful. We were not able to go in the middle of the "plaza" because the locals are setting up the place for an event maybe. There were already a lot of tourists. Everyone was just taking in the view, snapping photos, and enjoying the morning vibe. Paoay is a great stop if you love historical landmarks and beautiful architecture.

The San Agustin Church of Paoay, more popularly known as Paoay Church, is an outstanding example of Baroque architecture in the Philippines. Its massive structure, strengthened by large buttresses, reflects both historical artistry and engineering ingenuity. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the church stands as a testament to faith, culture, and resilience. Visiting the church offers not only a spiritual experience but also an appreciation of Philippine heritage.
Anthony S — Google review
❤️❤️❤️ majestic looking because of huge buttresses and an open space without obstructions. I just hope they keep its doors open for interior public viewing anytime for tourists. One of the four baroque churches in the Philippines included in UNESCO Heritage.
Joao R — Google review
Visiting Paoay Church is like stepping into history—its massive coral-stone façade, grand buttresses, and separate three-story bell tower evoke awe at first sight. Built in 1710, this UNESCO World Heritage Site stands as the Philippines’ premier example of Earthquake Baroque architecture, fortified with 24 massive buttresses that shield it from seismic upheavals.

Paoy Church is a charming and peaceful spot with beautiful architecture . It’s a great place to experience local culture and enjoy some quiet reflection. The church is well-maintained, and the friendly community adds to its warmth. Perfect for visitors looking for a calm and authentic experience away from the busy tourist spots. Plus no entrance fee needed.

Paoay Church Facade

Church
Paoay Church, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the Philippines, is a remarkable example of earthquake baroque architecture. Constructed from 1694 to 1710, this church features stunning coral stone and brick walls supported by 24 buttresses. It stands as a testament to the country's rich architectural heritage and is a must-visit for history and architecture enthusiasts.
The church lives up to its title as being a UNESCO world heritage site. You can see how imposing the facade is with all the greens mixed up with ancient stones forming both the bell tower and the front of the church. Never miss this site when you go to Ilocos. You can also buy lots of souvenirs located near the church.
Rak G — Google review
Due to the wide plaza, this church gives a sense of space for a world UNESCO heritage stamp. Weddings in this church are very costly due to its fame. It’s Javanese motif on the sides makes it more unique and gives a sense of Asian jnculturated church, though remaining Catholic.
Am M — Google review
It is one of the most beautiful church in Luzon, located in Ilocos, Norte PHILIPPINES. One of the oldest church also, amazing structural design, perfect view in sunset, a must visit in ilocos, its really more fun in the Philippines.
Allain T — Google review
If you are into cultural heritage, Paoay Church should be on your bucketlist. As someone who studied the Architectural history of these old churches, it was very surreal to see the Paoay Church in actual. Aside from this, there are also a lot of old houses converted into government offices and restaurants within the vicinity. It has a wide landscape, so the number of people that time when we visited the church doesn't bother us while we took pictures. Also, don't forget to bring an umbrella or anything to protect you from the heat especially on summer. A small background: It is declared as National Cultural Treasure by the PH government and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Allyssa D — Google review
The church was said to be magnificent at night. We arrived here at 8pm and much to our dismay, the church and its surroundings were so dark😔 i went bak here and it was lovely!

Saint Augustine church located in Paoay Ilocos Norte. A few minutes drive from Batac city. It’s the biggest and one of the oldest church in the province. There’s a restaurant in front and near the municipality of Paoay. A very instagramable photos so I recommend this church if you love old structures.
Angelyza S — Google review
One of the nicest places i’ve visited during my Ilocos Tour. The Church is surrounded by several establishments, you can buy souvenirs, local foods, an a lot more. However the bell tower beside the church is still under construction due to the recent calamities in Ilocos. Also, the place is not really crowded but it is hard to take good photos here.
Ken K — Google review
Place is stunning although there was an ongoing construction during my visit. There are also restaurants nearby that I failed to try (specially the pinakbet pizza) due to time constriction of our daytour.

Paoay Church Bell Tower

Historical landmark
Paoay Church Bell Tower, a separate three-story structure adjacent to the Paoay Church, provides an amazing panoramic view of Paoay. The church itself has historical significance, having been founded in 1593 and restored to preserve its value. The well-maintained area is a popular tourist spot in Ilocos Norte, featuring beautifully landscaped gardens and ample parking with clean restrooms available for a small fee.
This local attraction in Paoay, near Vigan, offers wide parking space—very convenient for visitors traveling by car. No need to worry about finding a spot, even during peak hours or weekends.

Church of Paoay, this parish was founded 1593, it was damaged before but restored to keep the historical value of the church. Maintenance of the area is very good. a tourist spot for people coming to Ilocos Norte. This is a must visit when you are here. aside from the big church for you to pray. the garden is well landscape for you to take photos. a place to remember and visit now and in the future. There is a parking area with clean restroom, you must pay a fee of 10.00 pesos for the restroom. But it is really clean. Besides the church is also a souvenier shop

I only have limited time visiting this place and I am eager to visit it again. There’s no question that its structures is magnificent and truly a part of southeast Asian style architecture that are designed to withstand a strong earthquakes. I hope the church will keep the doors open for us travelers and visitors to see its beauty inside.

One of the most visited and famous landmark in Ilocos is the Paoay Church also known as the St. Augustine Church. This is one of my favorite places to visit whenever we're in the area. I just find this church so beautiful and majestic! ❤ Including this place in your itinerary is highly recommended!

Just do not forget to drop by at this place firstly to pray for the safe trip. Then you can take all the photos as you pleased. The whole place is so mezmerizing and you'd thought you came back from the past.

church looks great especially at night. it's excellently maintained, but I dislike how they renovated the roof and replaced it with contemporary corrugated roofs. although its only visible on the side but still... it breaks the anachronistic feel of the place. lots of restos and souvenir shops around; worth a visit.
Robert N — Google review
The majestic baroque Church of Paoay was a bucket list since I was in 3rd grade, finally seeing it was quite serene. I could not find the words when my soul was in all awe. There is a certain charm that old churches bring, perhaps I was one of those old "manangs" in my former life, but this place brings me a certain inner peace that prayers could often accomplished. Must try: there is a little snack nook at the back of the church that sells pakbet empanada with bagoong na isda dip.

Restaurant
Herencia Cafe, located in Paoay, is renowned for its unique Pinakbet Pizza, a local delicacy featuring a blend of vegetables and bagoong (fermented fish paste) on a pizza crust. The restaurant's picturesque setting across from the historic Paoay Church offers an inviting ambiance for diners. While the prices may be considered slightly high by some, the generous portion sizes make it suitable for sharing.
This restaurant is found just in front of the Paoay Church. The ambience of the place is really nice. One of the spots inside the restaurant even offers a view of the church while dining. The food also tastes great. I'm not really familiar with Ilokano food but trying the dishes I wasn't familiar with was worth it. It may be a bit pricey for some with prices ranging from 120 to 500 pesos. But the amount is already enough for 2 or more people. One of the things people come here for is the pinakbet pizza. It looks like an ordinary pizza with vegetables as toppings. You might think that it may also offer a unique taste. But the cheese somehow masks the other flavors of the vegetables. Except I think for the ampalaya whose bitterness cuts through yet still keeping the balance of flavors. The restaurant's service was good as well. The waiters, mostly students I guess, were always ready to assist you.
Kris R — Google review
We decided to dine here to see the paoay church at night in bright lights. Unfortunately, the lights were out and it’s so damn dark. Anyway, the food was okay and the pinakbet pizza was really interesting! Another must see here were the old sewing machines that were redesigned to serve as the dining table😁
SherryG — Google review
We met friends from the area here and had lunch. They have an interesting menu of western and Filipino food. Service was slow but the space is very nice with an eclectic mix of antique dining room furniture. It was cool on a hot day.
Andrew L — Google review
Been here a gazillion times already. Don’t waste your time trying to eat here during peak tourist season as lines are long and you will wait forever for your foos. BUT THE PIZZA is always consistently good. We always buy one or two whenever in Ilocos.
Kat C — Google review
We didn’t actually eat here but we got here early in the morning and nobody was there. We assumed it was open because the doors were unlocked and the sign said it was open. We went in and checked out the pasalubong area because we wanted to buy some treats before leaving, unfortunately nobody was there to assist us. The place looks nice though.
Mary P — Google review
Delicious food, vintage vibes, great service... what more can we ask for? Try their famous pinakbet pizza! It’s sooo good!! Sorry no hot sauce, only bagoong and it’s perfect! Actually, we ordered a half and half. Half pinakbet - half ilocandia pizza (the one with Vigan longganisa). And every bagnet dish is crispy and tasty, just immaculate! Will definitely visit again soon!

Culili Point Sand Dunes is a thrilling destination that promises an unforgettable adventure for those seeking excitement. Known for its exhilarating 4x4 rides and sandboarding, this stunning locale also boasts breathtaking views of the West Philippine Sea. Visitors can enjoy the rush of speeding across the dunes while taking in the picturesque scenery. Since 2015, many have flocked here not only for fun but also to earn from tour packages, making it a popular spot among local guides.
Went here late March 2024 Fun and worth it! They also have ATVs for rent after the 4x4 thrill ride.

Here I am with my guests, and we're having a blast! I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve done this 4x4 rides and sandboarding here, been doing this since 2015 when I started my van rental and tour packages from Bicol to any point of the Philippines. This is one of my favorite spots, not just for the fun but also because I earn well here. I get ₱1,000 commission per 4x4 ride, if I bring 3 or 4 vans with around 60 guests total, that’s 12 4x4's... so that’s ₱12,000 easy. Not bad, right? Baka #BoyBagito yarn? 🤣🤣🤣

It was a super super exciting experience. The rate is 500/person or a minimum of 2500 per 4x4 truck, max of 6 persons in a truck. It already includes the sand dunes surfing. There are photographers that take photos of you by the truck and surf boards but u have to pay per photo. U should definitely do this in Paoay Ilocos, ur experience would not be complete if u will not.

Marcos Museum

Museum
The Marcos Museum, located in Ilocos Norte, is a tribute to the late president Ferdinand Marcos. It showcases exhibits detailing his life and works, including a mausoleum where visitors can see his preserved body. The museum provides insight into Marcos's impact on Philippine history over two decades. While some critics argue that the museum presents a one-sided view of Marcos, it remains an informative and interesting destination for history enthusiasts. Visitors can also view historical items such as Imelda Marcos's dresses.
30 pesos entrance fee for students, the museum is very informative about the life and death of Ferdinand Marcos
Kevin T — Google review
The Marcos Museum, is housed in the ancestral home of former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos and showcases artifacts and memorabilia related to his life and presidency. It offers guided tours that provide historical context, and the building itself features well-preserved wooden architecture with an open layout overlooking a lake. Been here last September 2015.
Gorj S — Google review
There's a fee to get in. Nice exhibits about the life of Marcos Sr and his success and love affair with Imelda. Unfortunately, they didnt explore the martial law years or their downfall.
Town T — Google review
If you enjoy history and learning about people who have had an impact on world events, you will like this museum. I was fortunate to visit 3 years ago while Ferdinand Marcos was still interred here. Informative, interesting and some iconic (if infamous) historical items such as examples of Imelda Marcos's dresses. A small donation is asked to enter museum.
M. M — Google review
You cannot deny the impact that Marcos had on the Philippine nation for two decades. As to be expected in his home town you will not find anything negative about him in the museum. However, it is still interesting and informative. The guides know who they are working for and are no more informative than the captions on the walls. While polite and friendly they don't have any real knowledge. However, there are a number of photos and maps and descriptions on the walls that give you at least one side of this man. If you are in or near Batac you should come here and see a slice of the history of the country and the area.
Andrew L — Google review
Nice historic place you have to visit @ Ilocos Norte. With 50 pesos entrance fee. Parking space at Batac Church. Just follow the rules from the museum for us to enjoy the view and respect to the place.
Cedrick R — Google review
I've been here before, but it is still hot in there. Actually, it is even hotter than before. We haven't enjoyed the whole tour here.
Rovie M — Google review
The museum is a medium sized facility with most of the displays upstairs and has interesting facts about probably one of the Philippines greatest leaders of all time, Ferdinand Marcos Sr. There is a small fee of 50 pesos entrance fee and the museum closes at around 4pm daily. Downstairs there is a tv that shows some of the old news highlights of Marcos during his heyday as well as interesting facts and items such as his famous buttoned t-shirts that Marcos wore as well as the former first lady's dresses (no shoes) at least from what I remember. If you noticed the black marble-slabbed building next door, this used to be the temporary viewing mausoleum of Marcos's embalmed body which was on display for many years until he was allowed to be buried in the cemetery of heroes in Manila. The building is no longer used but when I went to see this more than 17 years ago, the inside of the building was extremely cold with a guard posted inside and you were only allowed to view him for 3 min. Batac- home of Philippines great leaders. If you bring teenagers who are interested in learning about some facts of the late leader, this would be a great place to visit. We had no issues parking at the church lot across the street.

During our visit to Paoay we were blessed with the opportunity to tour the Malacanang of the North, the Marcos family rest house on the lake. A history with a view! The mansion feels like stepping back in time, but the real star is the veranda overlooking Paoay Lake. Don’t miss the veranda shots with the lake as your backdrop. Perfect for your “presidential” photo ops. 📸 Cheap entrance, cool vibe, just wish the displays were more lively. It would also be more engaging if there were guided tours or interactive displays to balance the historical narrative. Still, a must-stop when in Ilocos!

This is the house of the Marcoses here in Paoay so there's a lot of historical significance. With the fee, I expected items and areas to be curated, with descriptions. However, the place just became a big photo background. My favorite part on this place is the office where they showed the projects done by Marcos and Imelda during his long presidency. I learned a lot from there. Sobrang namaintain nila yong mga furnitures, bawal po hawakan, umupo at humiga sa mga kama at upuan. I hope they maintain the place and furnitures for the next visitors.

Located in Ilocos Norte, the Paoay Lake Water Park is a must-visit destination. It features a 4,200 square-meter inflatable water park with over 30 obstacle courses floating on Paoay Lake. Visitors can enjoy lounging on the shore under chic umbrellas and bean bags while watching the sunset. The park also offers a four-hour package that includes an orientation before enjoying the water activities. Additionally, there are plans for a food park and movie nights in the area.
Good theme park I presume as long as you would follow rules, just suggesting that they should put sheds not umbrellas only for its useless when windy. But if you love staying under the sun for house then go for it.
Edward L — Google review
Site: 3/5 I was disappointed with the site. There is nothing to see besides the floating island itself. The bean bags are filthy, and you can't play volleyball or large chess because it's too hot. Food stalls have also been closed. Staff: 5/5 They are courteous and accommodating. Those who assisted are good at taking pictures. Shower room: 2/5 For conservative people like me, there is no door or curtain in the shower room, so you will see the person opposite your shower room. There's no light, it's pitch black. Because our cellphone light was insufficient, we were forced to use the lamp light that we had planned to use for camping but had forgotten about. When we asked if they had seen anything, they said they would update until there was no more.

Its just above the.water park... so our group is alone... wefirat went to the visiyors lounge we register and chose the 4 hours package... we must have first the orientation... so jewerlies must be taken off... swimming attire must not have zipper and buttons... you can wear any cotton and any proper swim wear attire but as for my experience rash guard and long leggings to avoid bruises from.climbing the islands.. its quite an adventure, challenge you should be physically ready to pass the obstacle... there,s a swimming pool in the middle maybe around 4ft.. we have also trued their kayak... its unlimited also... its fun but expect tommorrow the body pains....

Lake
Paoay Lake, the largest lake in Ilocos Norte, spans 386 hectares and offers a serene natural beauty. It is located near the famous Paoay Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich history and stunning architecture. Legend has it that the lake was once a prosperous village that sank after an earthquake.
Sitting lakeside the views are great on a clear day ; you can see across to the mountains on the other side.

Legend has it that Paoay Lake was once the site of a prosperous barangay named San Juan de Sahagún, which sank after an earthquake—a tale reminiscent of the biblical Sodom and Gomorrah. In 1969, the lake and its immediate surroundings were declared a national park under Republic Act 5631. Later, in 1978, Presidential Decree 1554 redefined the park's area to focus on the lake itself, encompassing 340 hectares.

You don't see many fresh water lakes in the Philippines, so it was a nice surprise to stop here.

One of the most beautiful horseshoe shape lake that its water connects as a source of irrigations to farm lands of Ilocos. It is a nice place to visit because of its natural beauty aside from being near the great beaches of Ilocos region. It takes 9-11 hours travel time from manila, but will take you a little bit short when you take via tplex express road. One of the most perfect vacation and a road trip.

One of the best spots when you visit the Malacanang Palace of the North is the breathtaking view of the Paoay Lake. Just a piece of information the Paoay Lake is locally known as Dacquel a Danum which means "big water".If you plan to travel Ilocos add this to your bucket list. It's worth the effort!!!#iloveilocos

Paoay Sand Dunes Adventures (Suba) is a must-visit destination in Ilocos Norte, featuring thrilling activities such as quad bike and jeep rides, sandboarding, and large bamboo sculptures. This natural wonder spans 85 square kilometers of golden sand dunes, providing an incredible backdrop for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. Additionally, the area is famous for being a popular film location and is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Paoay Church.
We chose the Suba Sandunes because of the number of good reviews. We purchased our tickets via Klook but you can also call to book or just walk in. We chose to do the adventure by sunset and I highly recommend you do the same. I think, sunset is the most fascinating time to visit. Though it was Saturday, it was not crowded because we came off season. It was an exhilarating experience. Our 4x4 driver was good and he took us to those really exciting climbs and turns. He also took so many photos at every stop possible. The receiving staff were equally nice and accommodating.

Paoay Sand Dunes in Ilocos Norte is a thrilling adventure destination for those who love outdoor activities. The vast, rolling dunes create a breathtaking desert-like landscape, perfect for adrenaline-pumping 4x4 rides and sandboarding. The experience of speeding over the dunes and sliding down the slopes is both exciting and unforgettable. The best time to visit is during sunrise or sunset when the views are stunning, and the weather is cooler. If you're looking for adventure in Ilocos, this is a must-try!

Literally one of the best part in our vacation. They accomodate the people to the best of their abilities. We are going to avail 1.5k worth of service for 2 pax but got offered 2k with 500 discount. Such great deal even at the early time of 6am. Will recommend this to other people. Very accomodating and caring.

Fun place with superior customer service; they will offer pictures every step of the way. They also have a gentile path or a more fun path. Hard to go for the gentile path when you come with kids.

Super fun experience!! This is my second time going here and it’s still as thrilling. The staff were nice especially the ones at the sand boarding area. I do wish they had a package for only the soft copies of the official photos. Highly recommend for adventure seekers!

This was some extreme activity, not for a weak heart person. It was fun but slightly dangerous so you need to hold on tight or see yourself tossing on air😂 but our driver is professional, always reminding us to hold tight for any tricky terrain so we were safely toured round the sand dunes and stopped by the beach shore to take some pictures. Overall experience was exhilarating and fun, will do it again if I will still be fit for it otherwise it's for young people. There is another activity after the adventure and it is included in the payment so you don't need to pay again. You could buy bottled water too if you end up thirsty and after the activities you could see the pictures you want to pay for souvenirs.

One of the best adventure you should try in Ilocos Norte. If you love 4x4 adventure, this one is for you. A bit pricey but worth it. We really enjoy the 4x4 adventure, and they also let us try to drive the car, and that was really awesome. Hoping to come back again and experience again this adventure. 👍

(Translated by Google) This is the best ride. This is a must try and cannot be missed when you go to Ilocos. You can still beat the roller coaster, but that also depends on your driver. But ours, the best!! 🤘🏼 (Original) This is the best ride. Ito yung must try at hindi pwedeng palagpasin pag pumunta kayo sa Ilocos. Daig mo pa nasa roller coaster, pero depende din sa driver niyo yun. Pero yung samin, the best!! 🤘🏼

This was a breathtaking experience. For an affordable price, you, your family and friends can enjoy standing or sitting on a sand dune truck (?) and roam around the sand dunes. It includes pictures, sand dune truck rides, sandboarding and just plain fun. Amazingly, Kenneth was such a good sport as he explained the different places around this site. I was very much amazed how much support this place received as some monumental sets and pieces were placed there for our eyes' consumption. The sandboarding was also very enjoyable as you can have it multiple times until you finish your time. We had our sand dunes trip when it was slightly drizzling so there wasn't much sand that got to our clothes and shoes on a normal day. Overall, I would recommend this place for those who seek adventure for all ages. Just hold on tight!

I booked the Bellagio Hills Hotel & Restaurant for a 4-night stay after much deliberation! I was unable to find good, reliable reviews and recommendations on higher end resorts in the area but the Bellagio had the best reviews and the boutique vibe I was looking for so I booked it. I’m happy to share that the hotel met and exceeded my expectations! We arranged for pick up from the airport through the hotel and the driver was there waiting for us and easy to find. Upon arriving check in was an easy process with no wait time for the room. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The pool area is gorgeous and we had it all to ourselves several afternoons! It overlooks Paoay Lake and is a serene view. The restaurant options are varied and the food was always very good. Mira and the rest of her team are fabulous! Mira went out of her way to make our stay great and make recommendations on sight seeing and how to navigate public transportation. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a tranquil and relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of Laoag city, while still being close enough to the city and other spots to visit.

We stayed at Bellagio Hills Hotel and Restaurant for two days in preparation for my wedding and I have only good things to say about this place. First off great service!!! Ate Mira and Kuya Mark and the rest of the staff were so friendly, very helpful, and very reliable everytime we needed them. They went above and beyond my expectations!!!!! The rooms are big, clean, cozy, and relaxing!!! The bar and pool area overlooking paoay lake was awesome and beautiful!!! The place overall was just so breezy and beautiful!!! The room rates are good too!!! I highly recommend this place if your looking for a place to stay away from all the chaos of the city of Batac or Laoag and want to enjoy the quietness, this is the place to stay!!!! Thank you again bellagio hills staff for making our stay enjoyable and memorable!!! We look forward to seeing you guys again soon!!! AGYAMAN!!!!

We had the most wonderful getaway to the Bellagio Hills Resort. Ms. Miranda and her staff provided top rate services and accommodations for our two night stay. The hotel itself is nestled in a serene setting with relaxing sounds of the birds in the background and floral scents from a variety of plant species native to the area. The pool is just a short walk from the facility with light music and food and bar services with a beautiful view of the Paoay Lake in the background. Again, the staff was very pleasant and where there for any needs we may have had. For a small fee, we were provided access to a driver and van for a full day excursion of touring Illocos Norte. Bellagio Hills is nested away in a quiet and relaxed location, overlooking a lake with exceptional quality rooms. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel at home and spent time to understand what we were after from our stay. The staff and management were consitently welcoming, warm and accomodating to any of our needs. The kitchen staff and meals were very high quality and went out of their way to create some memorable dishes. Put simply, this is the best place to stay in the region. Thanks again to all the staff for making us feel at home, we look forward to visiting again!

Our room is so spacious and clean. Hotel staff are all very friendly and super accommodating. We enjoyed taking a dip on their pool overlooking Paoay Lake. Surprisingly, I enjoyed staying here more than staying at a 5 star hotel from their towels, their restrooms, their bed etc. Cant wait to come back!

So under some advice of locals I wanted to spend some time over their pool to relax. I arrived at the resort and it was deserted. After a bit the driver of the hotel came to me to ask me if I needed any help. He was super welcoming showing me where the reception was and the lady explained me that I could use the pool for 200 pesos only. So I told her I would have come back later. I went to double check the pool area and an old (German?) man was so rude. When I asked him if I could have a quick look at the pool he very rudly said that it is just for guests and people who consume. I was shocked and left. This was the most unwelcoming moment I had in 3 months in the Philipines, from an European person like me. Enjoy your wonderful and empty resort. Sayonara
