A vibrant, colourful and amazing chaos is how I would describe the beach market on the warm and sultry Saturday evening at sunset. Really enjoyed walking along the beach, looking at the brightly lit stalls selling colourful knick knacks and toys, jewellery and accessories, clothes, fabric and kitchenware, idols of the many gods and goddesses and of course the popular snacks and beverages stalls and the Icecream carts. There was something for everyone, young and old, boys and girls. The noise, the dust, the smoke ..... well nothing mattered to the crowds who were all having a wonderful time.

This is an evening beach market, on the golden puri beach, spreading nearly over one kilometer available for attracting tourists and some locals for the purchasing household,novelty, gift and decorated items other than sea-pearls, different types of conches and similar attractive varieties for their own or for gift to the benevolent. Besides all these, there are food stalls for veg and non-veg items. Sea fish varieties are also an added advantage for food loving people. Sea beaches are always awesome either at dawn or in the afternoon hours for fresh air and other enjoyment for the kids. Horse/Pony and Camel ride are must for the childrens and their parents as well. Gentle breezes along with favourite white sea multiple waves are always awesome and remarkable too for the vacation they look for.

Busy beach next to the Swargadwara crematorium. It is a unique experience walking along the beach. While the experience is unique, it might not be pleasant. The crowd and noise may be unsettling. The camels and horses are visibly being mistreated. There are a lot of shops but barely anything worth buying. There's fresh sea catch being fried and sold but the hygiene involved in such preparations is anyone's guess. There's hotels and hotels on the other side of the road. The sea beach is more or less clean although it can be beautified a lot more to make it more attractive. The waves are also strong. Overall it's just okay. The humidity makes it worse.

But after going inside you will feel completely forbidden because it has been maintained very well. You will find a lot of peace here because very few people come here. In the meantime, you will get a lot of peace by going here.

A bit overcrowded, I suggest visiting the BLUE FLAG BEACH , which is a paid beach with minimal entry fees bit wayy better than the golden beach….but the overall experience is good beautiful views and amazing people

All the things were good until we're done with enjoying the sea beach, There's no any facilities for changing and bathing, not even for ladies. You've to change in open or behind the shops on beach. Also there were lot of 💩 on the beach so be aware 😂

Neeladri Beach is one of the best places to relax in Puri. It’s much cleaner and calmer than the main Golden Beach — perfect for peaceful walks, photography, or enjoying the sunset. Only drawback is that some facilities could be better maintained, and there aren't many food stalls around. But overall, it’s a great family-friendly and peaceful beach spot. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy the sea away from the heavy crowds.

Good Parking space @ 20/- only Different types of tickets are available. ₹50.00 per pax for bathing and staying whole day. Chair withh umbrella set costs ₹50/- per hr. But, free relaxing chair set with thatched shade are more comfortable.. Cold Water booth for drinking available, cafeteria available for snacks... But, nothing available for lunch inside, the adjacent resturant is not good for lunch... Beach volleyball is available too...

After the lord Jagannath temple,it's the most serene place in Puri in accordance to me though there are many other places where you can enjoy your vacation in Puri. I like this place due it's freshness with no foul smell around. It is a very quiet place to chase the sunset. The ticket price is just 20/- rupees only which is very low amount after enjoying the beach. You can get there free drinking water and also wholesome lavatory 🚻. You will get dustbins at certain spaces everywhere along with free deck chairs all over the beach 🏖️.

The restaurant made us wait 40+ mins and didn't serve anything, I went there with my parents, we were dressed like tourists only!! My dad kept on enquiring 4-5times but they took our order and never came back to serve... They discriminated with us by happily serving people around us ... Don't visit this pathetic place. We tried the prawn malai curry, fish cutlet, chicken kosha and the Kochu pata chingri. The quantities for these dishes were quite small and taste wise they were decent. The cutlet was a little burnt however and the taste was disappointing. I would recommend trying the prawn malai curry. The service was quick and the restaurant was clean as well. They have only thumbs up available as the soft drink, atleast when we went. Not a bad place to try Bengali food in puri.

Bangalir Swade Ahlade is a wonderful spot for anyone craving authentic Bengali cuisine. The moment you step inside, the cozy, Kolkata-like atmosphere makes you feel right at home. We had lunch and were completely blown away by the food. The Shorshe Ilish Bhapa ( steamed hilsa fish ) was incredibly tender, and the Prawn Malaikari ( prawns in a creamy coconut curry ) was a true delight. The flavors are genuine and rich, with generous portion sizes. The staff was polite and attentive, making the entire experience even better. It's a fantastic place for a delicious and memorable meal.

I love to visit Puri very frequently. Few restaurants provide good and tasty food. This restaurant is one of them. Mutton Rajela was so mouthwatering. Doi Ilish, Vetki Paturi, and Chingri are just awesome. Strongly recommended!

The price of the food is totally dissatisfying with the taste of the food. I have attched the bill for refernece but one thing is not mentioned in bill the fish item - Pabda fish was smelling & rubbery. One other item Dab Chingri was not. Cooked well. Totally disappointed with the quality of the food. Strictly will not recomen this resturent to any one at this proce range.

Food was not good as per the price and they will ask you to take fish item separately, instead of including it in thali for profit, we had to take veg thali and fish separately, we had order prawn malai curry, it was horrible, they used stale prawn, the prawns were hard and it’s head turned black look at the attached picture, my mother ate two of them without complaining, when I complained, they started arguing that prawn should be hard only and why my mother had two of them when I told them that see the colour they started saying why are you saying multiple statements, when complained to the owner, she put phone on her ear and was showing a false gesture without even talking to any one, please don’t waste your money going to this restaurant where the staff doesn’t know on how to behave, it is better to visit a restaurant which has high amount of footfalls every day as they will prepare fresh food, these restaurants attracts very limited customers with nice ambience so prepare the basic few items, while they use old items for rest of the items specifically non veg

Extremely unhygienic and a complete waste of money. The place was poorly maintained, with visible cleanliness issues throughout. The plates and cutlery were unclean, which was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about overall hygiene. The prices are outrageously high for what’s being offered—absolutely unjustified. The staff lacked professionalism, showing no basic courtesy or sense of proper service. There was no point in even discussing the food—both the quality and taste were extremely disappointing. The dishes seemed stale, lacked flavor, and were carelessly prepared and presented. Overall, this place needs a complete overhaul in terms of hygiene, food quality, pricing, and customer service. Definitely not recommended.

This branch of Bhojohori Manna , in Gopiballav road near the Puri sea beach is in the Basement of Benfish hotel. I am very happy and highly recommend this hotel for Bengali food. The price /tariff is similar to the other authentic Bengali restaurants in the vicinity. Each veg items were approx Rs.140 per dish. On two days I have tasted the following items- Posto Bawra, jhinge posto, panchmeshali torkari, lau ghonto, mochar ghonto, dhokar dalna, chanar dalna, sukto and moong er dal. We tried the famous mishti doi in a claypot and even the now popular Nolen gurer ice cream. I liked almost everyone of them. Only the mochar ghonto could have been a bit better. Service is decent and helpful. They have 2 halls- and one part is reserved for the hotel guests from upstairs. They accept all kinds of payments.

Fishes like Prawn, Koi and Pomfret were not fresh… Koi fish was not original it was Vietnamese Koi… the only food items worth eating was shukto, chanar dalna and rice… though the quantity of rice felt less compared to the price Service was fast, the temperature of the place of eating was not cool… ac was not working properly

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service we received at your restaurant during our visit in Durga Puja at Bhojohori Manna, Puri. We were attended by Mr. Maity, who very firmly informed us that à la carte menus were not available during Puja and that we had no option but to order the Thali (Veg ₹800 + GST / Non-Veg ₹1175 + GST). Trusting his words, we ordered both Veg and Non-Veg Thalis. However, to our utter surprise, while leaving we noticed that other customers were being served individual à la carte dishes. This clearly shows we were misled. When I later questioned Mr. Maity (name as informed) about this, his response was that he had “saved us money” since à la carte would have cost more. Such a justification is unprofessional and unacceptable.

This place is really bad one. The entry door freaks till the pain in the ears. The stuff doesn't know English and can't understand the questions you ask. There is strange tax system, but nobody will explain you what the tax is paid for. The stuff is very relaxed and don't get the order properly from the first and second time. They brought me coffee for takeaway without sugar, so I had to go to cash counter once again.

Well designed station with temple style architecture,located near the beach and jagannath temple. The temple is around 2-3 km from the station. Good connectivity, but can get crowded and messy during peak times. Basic facilities available. Best to avoid during festivals.

Puri Railway Station was very crowded when I visited, but the management was decent. The platforms were clean and trains were running mostly on time. It’s a busy station, so better to reach a little early.

Jay Jagganath ji , wonderful railway station which is the under construction where I came on 22 June 2025 to aataind the Rath Yatra on 26 Jane and this is my first time and very good facilities are available for pilgrims.

I was visiting the puri station in the mid of Rath Yatra utsav. There was full of chaos of uncountable number of devotees covered the platforms. But still there was no hurry or any bad situation happening. All the possible facilities & systems are arranged to tackle this crowd. Hats off to the Railways & govt. to arrange such kind of arrangement there.

The platforms are kept exceptionally clean, with proper waste bins placed at regular intervals, and the staff ensures hygiene is maintained throughout the day. The waiting halls and washrooms are also well looked after, making travel comfortable for passengers. Another remarkable feature of this station is its punctuality—trains here are rarely delayed, and announcements are made on time, which helps passengers plan their journey smoothly. Overall, the station sets a great example of efficiency and cleanliness, making travel a pleasant experience.

Good Temple . One must visit this temple during non, festival days, otherwise one will face difficulties due to a lot of crowds. The main importance is during the Rath Yatra Festival . During this period Mahaprabhu Jagannath Balabhadra Subhadra stays here till Bahuda Yatra.

Very calming and a beautiful etmple. The temple remains closed all the year around, it is only during the Ratha Ytra time that the temple is open for the general public. Rest of the days the door is closed, you will be able to offer your prayers from outside the main door.

Mausi maa is known as Ardhasani. Maa ardhasani is worshipped here. It's a small and well designed temple. At the time of bahuda yatra a special Odisha item poda pitha is offered to Lord jagannath and brother sisters. Must visit with family, friends and relatives.

Mausima temple . During car festival lord Jagannath came to his autny's house .its an epistemological talk on Jagannath philosophy. During car festival this area is pretty crowded. You may visit nearest temples and ashram also .

We went to this shop after seeing a lot of advertisements on large bill boards across Bhubaneswar and Puri, and on the internet. Highly disappointing experience. The shop looks good and posh, but the staff behaviour is absolutely horrible and cold. The products are overpriced due to the high maintenance costs of a fancy showroom. The staff is not at all courteous and not at all interested in showing the products. They pose as if they are doing you a favour by selling you their products. If the owner of the showroom is reading this, my sincere request to you sir, kindly check on your staff behaviour with the customers.

One of the good stores in bhubaneswar. They have multiple floors - ground floor is mainly sarees. There are dress materials on the second floor and handicrafts on the top floor. Good option to shop for everything touristy in one place, though I found the range of sarees to be limited both design and pricing wise. I liked the range of dress materials and handicrafts.

I highly dissuade everyone from buying products because all their dress materials are over priced with such poor quality dyeing that even a single penny spent is a waste. The shop owners are very non cooperative and on being informed about the poor quality product received, they are unapologetic and harsh to not even exchange the item/s or give a full refund.

We visited the museum on 8am Sunday morning. They didn't charge a ticket it was free and open for all. It's a very small cosy museum rather a Buddhist temple. The museum half different stone carved marble carved wood carved items to see. You can park your car nearby.

Beautifully decorated sacred place. It is surrounded by many sculptures and flowering trees. Very neat and clean. You can book an auto and enjoy the local side tour, this is also included in their package.

Quite a tranquil place to walk into and watch the craftsman craft his art live. As the name suggests, this place isn’t a museum but more like a marketplace where you can buy your favourite piece of craft. It has a Japanese Pagoda, Buddha Statue and the usual craftsman‘s shop. A 30 minute walk around is enough to cover this place.

Amazing, underrated place. Must visit especially for all art/craft lovers, which should typically be EVERYONE! The craft is remarkable. Here, along with the craftsmen, we met witj Mr Sarat Chandra, a disciple of Shri Sahoo ji, very eloquently explained to us about the art and the craft of this place. He was very warm towards us and respectful about the craft and discussed with us about the craft of Puri and of Sahoo ji. We enjoyed being here for about 45 mins, it was the golden hour, and felt like the perfect time to visit. Please note that they close during lunch timings, I think 12-3 pm they stay closed. Be sure to keep that in mind when you visit! The Buddhist temple here also offers you a peaceful place to adore the beauty around you, especially since it's at a raised platform, you get to see the areas around from a higher position and perspective. Felt very zen here, as it should feel at a temple, I think.

There is an entry ticket of Rs 5 which is very strange that we have to pay to visit a temple. The temple is also known as Daria Mahavir Temple. The temple has normal architecture and ambience. The temple has an interesting story behind the name 'Bedi Hanuman'. It is believed that Daria Mahavir protects Puri against the fury of the sea.

Place is sacred but the managing Pujaris are so greedy that the that they are forcing you to shell out more money until you are empty handed. They will forcely hand over items at entrance and will demand hefty money. Entrence fee is 5 rupees only. Temple was not having any rush and only few devotees were there.

Visited the mandir today. The pandits there did not let me or any of my family member pray in peace. All of them had eyed on one of my family member to loot as much as they can by first being polite and inspecting what relation do we have with each other to finally understand who would be there bait for the day. Showing that they are praying on your behalf, and ensuring you have been asking for the most important thing from God, is when they start demanding money. Make sure if you go you do not listen to anyone out there and do not pay anyone. For the sake of donation they will show you an aluminium box which will have no space for putting in the money.

We visiting thinking this place is supposed to be very renowned one. But we can literally use the word "extortion". Initially we were asked to buy 5rs ticket for entry. The place is very secluded inside a galli, not close to road. We had 4 senior citizen with us. They looted us in the name of buying flags, keys, coins jabardasti in the name of God. They looted us together then separated males and females and individually asked for money. The pandits are really playing with the sentiments. Extremely disappointed. When they saw that we ladies didn't pay as per their expectations they literally shooed us away. After all this trouble they dnt even give us sit for 1min in their premises as seniors. No mobile phones are allowed. We as tourists couldn't do much as the place is secluded and they outnumbered us, it was not a right decision to argue there with all seniors with us. I really wish someone someday exposes them. Temple's divinity was absolutely ruined by these people. All of us were scared and returned disappointed.

Puri Beach is a beautiful and lively place, especially during sunrise and sunset. It was quite crowded when I visited, but the view of the sea and waves was amazing. A great spot to relax, walk barefoot on the sand, and enjoy the local vibe.

I recently visited Puri Beach and honestly, the experience was amazing 🌊✨. The vibe, the sea waves, and the overall atmosphere were just perfect. The only thing to keep in mind is that some of the locals near the beach can be a bit pushy, and you really need to take care of your belongings yourself, as there are chances of theft. Out of all the beaches in Puri, I found this to be the best beach. I had a lot of fun here. There are many hotels nearby, A lot of people come here in the evening and watch the sea closely, which really looks very lovely, here a moist wind blows along with the sea waves, and in front of it everything is washed away

Puri Sea Beach is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The view of the sunrise and sunset is amazing. The sound of the waves and the cool breeze make it very relaxing. The beach is clean in the morning, and many people come here for a walk or to enjoy the sea. You can also find tasty street food, tea, and souvenirs nearby. Camel and horse rides are also available for fun. It’s a great place for families, friends, and solo travelers.

Nice and tasty Veg food and good quantity

There don't seem to be too many cafes in Puri. I was looking for a place where I can sit down and finish some work for a few hours near the railway station. This seemed to be the most relevant according to Maps. It was a nice clean Vegetarian restaurant, the AC was a blessing in the heat. I had a veg thali, their paneer butter masala is their specialty. Lassi was good too and all In all it wasn't too expensive.

It is a full vegetarian restaurant in CT Road, Odisha near Sunar Gwarango Mandir. It has an average restaurant with sufficient sitting places and good food. But it does not serve dosa in the evening. The dosa is good here. It not only serves South Indian food but also North Indian food. It is a Marwari Restaurant. It also has a hotel above it for accomodation. The ambience is also good with patachitra paintings hung on every wall. It is a good suggestion to have meals.

Very poor taste. Pure Veg. If you love south Indian Dosa's and North Indian Paratha's. You should not visit here, i ordered both and very poor taste and quality observed. 50 percent of my order I could not eat due to very bad cooking quality and bad taste. I asked the manager to improve the food quality and taste. But all in vain. Better visit some other good pure veg restaurents... One good options for vegetarians are - rajasthana and gujrati thali very close to Harry's cafe.

I have been a regular customer of Domino’s till today. Last time, I had given a bad review for the Moosapet, Hyderabad outlet. Today’s review is about the Domino’s outlet in Puri, Odisha. I felt really bad today — such a big company like Jubilant, yet I would like to request to there area manager to please train their store managers on how to speak with customers. The attitude was unbelievable. I asked for two extra packets of chili flakes, and the staff said they wouldn’t give them. When I said I would give a 1-star review on Google, he looked at me angrily and said, “Do whatever you want.” The store manager doesn’t even wear a cap inside the kitchen. The staff are working without hand gloves right in front of the manager and are continuously eating pizza inside the kitchen. You can even check the CCTV footage if you think I’m lying. The manager’s lack of experience is clearly visible. If my complaint is not resolved, I’m ready to take this matter up to Jubilant’s headquarters or cunsumer court for insult a customer. . In one visit, they made us wait 30 minutes for two orders. We are paying for the orders — does that mean they can talk to us disrespectfully? Are we eating there for free or what? Sorry, but this was my last visit.

One star for the behaviour of the manager in handling my order.I was given a different food instaed of what I ordered but the manager was behaving as if he was doing a favour on me by providing me with other food whereas I didnt wanted it in the first place and wanted my original order to be delivered.Zero knowledge of staffs of what is happening in the store.......but the best part was the attitude of the manager which looked like he is running a circus and asking to customers to forcefully take whatever they have as they have already paid for the same.One customer said that to give him a credit note instaed of the food which they dont have currently but take a order of.When the manager told that next time he ll give a discount but the customer told that I stay at other place,the manager ridiculed him and sarcastically made fun of him.For the first time I am seeing a dominos outlet staff behaving in such a manner.Now it seems that the instagram was right.Dominos is really hiring goo s as staff now in the store.

Terribly managed Dominos. Delivery staff lingers in the kitchen area with no safely hygiene gear and stare at female customers. My food was ready, kept there for around 10 mins but no one bothered informing me. I had to go myself and remind them. No seasoning, no paper napkins given. Besides, pizza was made terribly. Like someone was forced to rush and just make anything. Tables kept unclean. Unruly staff. Terrible experience.

Online ordering is better. They refuse multiple things in store but have it for online orders for takeaway. We were refused a Medium farmhouse pizza in store, saying they ran out of mushrooms and dough. We were forced to buy regular size pizza. Then we saw someone take large pizza. We then ordered a medium pizza, and this was delivered by the same store. They are lying to customers in store.

Whenever I visit Puri , it is a ritual to have lunch at Pink House. Food is too good. Prawn dishes are very well prepared. Crab chilli is a must try. Just carry your shell cracker or lose a tooth..😅 Be it thali or separate dal fry rice or chapati. All worth spending. Highly recommendablr

Choose this hotel as it is at the mouth of the beach. The second good thing is that its a budget hotel. Room was moderately cleaned. Not much spacious still good for one person. Their best thing is the resturant, its designed very beautifully with lots of trees, foods were very good too.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price We stayed at this hotel during Rathayatra 2025, and it turned out to be one of the worst hotel experiences we've had. Despite charging ₹3,500 per night for AC rooms, the quality and service were far below expectations. We booked two AC rooms (Room 202 and 203) on the second floor. Both rooms had faulty bathroom doors, and water would leak into the room during bathing. The bathroom lock in Room 202 didn’t function properly. The bedsheets were stained, and many of the pillow covers were torn—reflecting poor cleanliness and maintenance standards. Room 203 was not provided with an AC remote. When we inquired, the staff misleadingly claimed it was an “automatic AC” that couldn’t be controlled with a remote—only turned on or off manually. Adding to the inconvenience, the hotel does not offer any service after 10 PM, even for basic necessities like drinking water. While the hotel is relatively close to the sea, it's located near an off-beat beach. The main sea beach and beach market are approximately 4 km away. Getting to and from the hotel is also a hassle, as autos and totos often refuse to travel that far. The food is overhyped—some of the seafood dishes were decent, but the basic meals were not up to the mark. Overall, the experience was highly disappointing and certainly not worth the rate they charged. I would not recommend staying here.

First price, it's on very high side if you are asking for home delivery through Zomato/ Swiggy - so I would suggest to go and pick by self. Especially chicken kassa (with 1 aloo, 3 small to medium size) 250+ is way too high. Paratha good but got hard in few mins. Aloo bharta, aloo gobi were very good and tawa roti was made of atta. So taste wise it's good.

Very hygienic outlet, too crowded during lunch time but ample seating space and prompt service. Very beautiful concept of taking forward odisha's own cuisine through such a big outlet. Few delays in service here and there. Variety, quantity and taste are pretty good. Masala dalma is better than plain dalma, liked the mushroom pata pora dish. Overall a nice experience, however little less than hyped.

It was great. We really spotted a lot of things. A spotter deer fawn, 2 huge adult lamgoors and infinity number of crabs in the island. Even heard from the rescuers that Olive Ridley Turtles comes here at night to lay eggs. The beach is very peaceful and less crowded. There is also a newly made watch tower out there. Ticket Price is 30 per person and 50 for car. There is also a beautiful nature camp inside it whose price starts around 5000 per day for 2 person with 4 meals each. Added photos check them out.

The sea beach is good, very neat and clean due to less tourist visit. It's an isolated beach. One can not go to beach directly by own vehicle. You have to park the vehicle in parking, then buy ticket and go with their electric Safari. Waiting time for safari is sometimes less , sometimes high. Depends upon the number of tourists. During return from beach they will keep you waiting for safari till 7-8 people come. They should allow cars/bikes up to 15-20.

Balukhand Wildlife Sanctuary – Best for a Quiet Beach, Not for Wildlife Spotting Balukhand Wildlife Sanctuary is located along the Konark–Puri Marine Drive. I’ve visited this place multiple times, in almost all seasons. Although the information boards mention various animals like hyenas, jackals, deer, and rabbits, in all my visits, I’ve only spotted deer — and just once, a rabbit, during a night stay at Nuanai Nature Camp, which is located within the sanctuary. For me, the main attraction here is the secluded and peaceful beach, which remains relatively unexplored and crowd-free — perfect for a quiet escape. I wouldn’t recommend this place for those who have high expectations of wildlife sightings, as animal visibility is very limited. Entry Fee:- Rs 40 per person.

I visited the beach here. The path to beach goes through a forest. It is a short root of 2.5 km. The drive to the beach is quite beautiful and scenic. The beach is not at all crowded. Waves are not too high. Mostly gues in Toshali Sand resort visit this beach. Infact the resort management tells that its their private beach. They provide a cab to and from the beach. We had really good time here. We visited this place during the 2nd week of March. It was quite sunny and a bit hot but perfect for taking a dip in sea.

Unforgettable experience . The morning sunrise , was most beautiful , and the catching moment over there. We went from bbsr and we reached there at 5 am morning . Reach by 5 , then u can see the beauty of our nature , the colour of the sky , all was unimaginable. Nothing more in the beach. chandrabhaga beach has always the high tide , so I recommend u to be careful while u go inside water and enjoy there . Don't think it is same as Puri . We can't explain u why , but it is . I will like to mention . Do u like crab ? Sand colour crab ... Not that we get in the market . That kind of crab can be seen if u go far ahead from the crowd . Walk along the bank of the sea , and go a distance , then u can see the crab crawling on the sand .

The temple complex which was earlier most popular and a landmark itself in the area is now in need of maintenance. Mobiles, leather goods are not allowed inside the temple . Also photography is not permitted inside the temple.

Idol is full of excellence and grace. Main negligence is dilapidated structure. In a few yards pl. find Subhadra Mandir and Nadia Gauranga Mandir. One should contract an e-rickshaw for Chakratirtha Temple cum Beach halt for 1.5 hours and Bedi Hanuman Temple cum Sonar Gauranga Temple for half hour.

This place is considered to be very sacred and must visit in Puri but I am only giving it a 3 star coz of its cleanliness and hygiene issues. The water was not clean and people were washing their clothes in this water which is actually considered as holy water. The government should definitely restrict some activities here to protect its authenticity and purpose!

I visited the place at the time of Chandan yatra ,the place feels like I was just wondering.

A beautiful place to sit and relax after the usual crowded temple visit. The natural aquatic ecosystem here is free therapy, providing cool, calm, and peaceful vibes every time I visit. I've attached some videos to capture the serene atmosphere. In the evening, there is a light and sound show that narrates the history of the temple and Puri in general. However, be prepared for mosquitoes during the evening show.

I'm only giving 3 stars to this place bcz of only and only cleanliness and hygiene, very dirty place including sarovar, dustbins are placed over there but no one is using it, neither management staff nor any controller was there to take responsibility. Elsewhere the temple campus built in between tank was very great and design was also fantastic, and it holds very great importance in the history of this city. I truly suggest visiting one time. Many peoples were bathing , cleaning clothes, and using shampoo and soap in the sarovar. Which is realy needed to be stopped. At last Jai Jagannath. 🙏🏼

Its very holy place among devotes. Narendra Sarovara is situated to the north east of Jagannatha temple next to Jagannatha Vallabha Garden. walking along Grand road towards Gundicha Temple, it is on your left side. This pond is also known as Sri Candana Puku, because Candana Yatra of Lord Jagannatha takes place here. You can spend very peaceful time with family and friends. The pond is very neat and clean & well maintained. No proper shoe rack or paid shoe stand.

Narendra Pokhri is one of the revered holy ponds in Puri. It plays a special role during the annual festival of Jagannath Rath Yatra as well as the festival of "Chandan Yatra." People believe that after death, if you perform "Shraddha Karma" here and do bone immersion, then the soul gets peace. Also people called it's 2nd Ganga.

Ticket price is 399/-. But outsider costume is not allowed. So you have to pay extra rupees for costumes. By the way, better not to choose Pratyush Water Park. Because the staff behaviour is worst ever. Food restaurant takes a lot of time to serve. There are only few rides there in which you will feel bored in 30mins. Water is very unhygienic. Dead insects are floating. Overall wastage of money.

This bar has an okay ambiance, but the rooftop is quite nice. The food tastes just okay, and the beers are overpriced. There's no space for car parking. It's alright for a one-time visit if you're in the area.

It's a small hole in the wall... in a very literal sense. Beer is cold though only of the strong kind. It's lit dark and I suppose it has some appeal.

Not sure how this place got such good rating. Mostly it's fake for sure. None of the good brands are available though it's listed in the menu. The table attendant's attitude is like PM of India who is doing part time job as a waiter in this shady place. Inspite it was all empty when i visited, he was busy in mobile rather than attending to the customer waiting to give order. This combined with the fact, not anything good was available, i decided its not worth spending time here, and left the place. Advice to the management - Do hire waiters from hospitality background. A customer who is ready to pay premium price, also expects similar service from your staff.

Good stuff is simple less spicy , some things like. Stuffed paratha is very less spicy although they say it’s on demand they put more spices , service is fairy good , prices are also good we ordered dosa it was good aloo paratha was having less stuffing paneer paratha was better than aloo , hygiene is ok prime place of market near to temple , approach is from staircase and on third floor so if old age peoples are there then it may be problem ,

we came from visiting a temple and were tired and so hungry that we could have anything and our driver suggested that we should go in this restaurant (we are from outside of this state) although the food was decent but the service was horrible we didn’t get our food for so long we waited for 45 mins to get our first order which was papad and after 10 mins we got our salad and then food. They weren’t treating us like customers. They were shouting at us because we said to bring it faster . Although the environment and food was good but don’t visit this when you are utterly hungry and want to leave asap.

We visited this restaurant after watching a food vlog but ended up having a very disappointing experience. Although we reached at a reasonable dinner time (7:30 PM), the service was extremely poor. There was already a 30-minute waiting time mentioned on the menu, which we respected without following up. However, even after 50 minutes, we received only the first serving, and that too with burnt and soggy roti. We had initially ordered parathas and wanted to reorder, but the staff said it wouldn’t be possible. When we asked for chole bhature, aloo paratha, and veg biryani, they refused all of them—while strangely, the table next to us, who arrived later, was served chole bhature. This suggested that they either ran out of items quickly or purposely accept full orders at once to retain customers, and then later refuse additional requests by saying only plain roti is available. The primary reason behind this poor experience seemed to be inadequate staffing. There were too few waiters and kitchen staff, which made it hard for them to manage the crowd. As a result, the service was extremely slow, and customers like us were left dissatisfied. Despite high expectations, the visit turned out to be frustrating and poorly managed. Picture attached - I’m attaching the picture where my parents are waiting, hoping the roti arrives on time—but even that is getting delayed. We ended up spending time here till 9 PM, yet the food wasn’t satisfactory.

Pure veg AC restaurant located at the main road to the puri temple (bada danda).. we had breakfast and ordered paper masala dosa, Idle, lassi and Tea.. Paper Masala dosa was quite tasty n the roll was quite long.. Idle was ok.. lassi and tea was not that good... quite spacious sitting is quite comfortable... They do serve lunch as well.. and it's quite famous for it... The restaurant is well maintained and hygienic neat and clean... 9/10

After hearing the word of mouth from some people I visited this restaurant. It was a horrible experience and I wanted to suggest that don't make a mistake that I made. I had to wait 1 hr for my order. I asked the staff how much time it will take, Firstly he ignored me but after asking multiple times he started shouting at me. Visiting Mata Matha in Puri was a truly moving experience—being just a short walk from the sacred buzz of the Jagannath Temple, the ashram offers a gentle sanctuary of calm where the many statues of Krishna, Chaitanya and the sacred traditions speak to you quietly yet powerfully. A particularly striking sight is the large mūrti of Hanuman standing prominently in front of the shrine of Sri Ram, with a charming mini‑Brindavan setting nearby—it gives the place a wonderful devotional layering. However, as someone who cares for these spiritual spaces, I was also disappointed to see the access road is in rough shape, especially vulnerable on rainy days, and the upkeep of the surrounding compound doesn’t fully reflect the sacredness within. With some attention to cleaning and road‑maintenance, this gem could shine even brighter for both pilgrims and travellers alike. Still, the inner sanctum and its spiritual ambiance remain worth the visit.

It's a really good place for pious and religious people and those who take interest in knowing about Hinduism. Ticket prices are not high at all and this place provides a very calm and serene environment full of an aura of sanctity. The pictures of Lord Krishna , mother Yashoda, etc are very well depicted on the walls and by statue figurines. But, some statues are broken and are not well maintained. Else it's a very good place to visit provided you have knowledge about Hinduism and Lord Krishna.

I visited puri for darshana of maa Bimala as it is one of the four adishakti peethas. Once you are out of jagannath ji temple on right there is Bimala devi. There is not much rush in the morning, just pray from outside looking at devi instead of getting in the rush near devi as the pandits do not allow you to pray peacefully if you do not buy their stuff and get their blessing. The devi decorated nicely by afternoon. She is beautiful. Ask me for any questions.

One of the shaktipeeth and it is known for the 'Right thigh' of devi sati had fallen down. Small temple complex and can easily go inside. Behind this temple you can see the beauty of Sea. In evening time you can do boating, have some snacks. One can go for a picnic here too. Some shops are outside the temple for buying things and snacks.

The vimla devi temple is available inside the jagannath temple premises. No entry ticket is required. No need of hiring any pandit as such. The crowd will lead you to vimla devi temple as well as many more temples available inside the premises. Do not forget to tie thread for accomplishing your with after oath to leave some fruit for one year as the initial place of worship of Sri jagannath ji. It is said that after your wish is fulfilled the thread tied before shall be untied.

Foreingers not allowed. Literally. If you are not an Indian you will not be allowed in. I was with an Indian friend who asked multiple temple police if we heard it right the first time. We did. And it's not a case of following the temple entry rules (no belt, no mobile, no shoes) - it's that you're not wanted. Comparatively a very clean fish market with a huge variety of sea and fresh water fishes sold at a very economical rates when compared to what is available at reputed fish markets of Kolkata and that too much fresher. The crabs, pomfrets and prawns available are quite large in size and are very tasty. You also get quite large sized Sol fishes also. You get vegetables, mutton, chicken and groceries also in the same market

Had a truly divine experience at Goverdhan Math. The atmosphere was peaceful and spiritually uplifting. I feel extremely fortunate and blessed to have received the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati during my visit. A must-visit for anyone seeking serenity and spiritual guidance.

Serene place. It is at a walking distance from the sea beach. But due to multiple steps, it is quite difficult for elderly people with knee or joint problems to enter. Having said that, the place is painted like new, neat and clean. There are multiple temples inside. A spiritual atmosphere to be liked by interested people. Overall, a good place to add to your Puri trip bucket list.

Every Hindu has to Visit. Great Place. Sree Sree Sree Nichalananda Sarswathi Maharaj is Pètadhipathi. It is very near ti Sri Jagannadh Temple in Puri. It is in walkable distance. Electric autos are also available. You may go by your own vehicle.

The best math I got to visit while I was in Puri. The temple has high energy vibes and the tour of the math showed how much knowledge there is to be gained which we ignored or not appreciate. There are idols of Jagganath, subhadra adn Balraj in great likeness to the ones in the Jagganath temple. Plus the Krishna idol made of Shaligram was the one I loved the most. We happened to enjoy the arti when we were there. The temple is closed in the afternoon till 4 pm I think. There is good collection of books and literature to read and buy. There are accommodations available for visitors. It also has hostel that boards the students in various fields like mathematics, science etc. Must visit. There is also a gaushala accross the street which has desi gais, taken care by attendants. Take some fruits or veggies for the cows and their calves if you wish.

If you are in Puri then it's a nice place to visit for shopping for yourself, family & friends, the owners have been in this business for over 3 generations and have their own looms employing over 550 artisans. The products are good and are extremely well priced. The visit was satisfying however customer experience can be improved.

I ordered Rice, Mushroom Masala and Tawa roti for dinner during my last visit to Puri. The taste of Mushroom Masala was just average. Service was very poor and the behaviour of the staff was also not good. The only good thing is it's just near the Temple. You can find a better option but away from the Temple.

My two cousin sisters and I went to this restaurant. We ordered food, and it was quite good, but the service was not good😒. There was no easy way to make an online payment....no QR payment facility and no card payment option. Some staff members behaved rudely with us and even with the restaurant's manager. We had a problem with bill payment........After this situation, I went to a nearby shoe shop to exchange money. Yes, we had a pretty bad dinner that day.

Well initially i didn't plan to visit this place but something happened we had to change the plan and entered this place and i found out it is one of the best restaurant in puri for Bengali foods. The taste is very adequate to the pallets of Bengali as well as the price is affordable. I am attaching the recent menu as well with the foods picture please do check them as well. Food they offer wheather it is fish or chicken was absolutely fresh in my case and i believe they follow this as well, also the cooking process is not rich as well so old people and children can safely eat this as well. Well we stayed in Bidesh Ghar Inn for 4 nights. As New Parijat Restaurant were in the ground floor of this Hotel, so we decided to eat Breakfast to Dinner in this restaurant. The food qty is absolutely good served in banana leaf. Chinese dishes , Indian chicken dishes, South Indian dishes & thali were very good. Once we tried prawn item, the quality was very poor & prawn was not fresh at all it was frozen for several days, later on we didn’t tried other fish dishes.

Idli and sambhar were ok but chutney was horrible. We then ordered garlic sandwich in which they gave loads of raw garlic. Yes garlic was not even tossed in butter and their quantity was 5 times than it should be. These pathetic restaurants should definitely shut down.

Well, this place is right beside fisherman's restaurant. The food quality and quantity is very good. The staffs were friendly however one particular person in the reception was rude though the others were not. We had our breakfast, lunch, and dinner here only because of the quality and taste. We can get amazing breakfast like aloo Parathas, poori sabzi, sandwiched and south Indian food as well as kebabs in the evening. Variety of menu available. Recommended for people who want thalis in lunch and their kids want fried rice or noodles in lunch as everything is available there. Budget friendly.

The food was good, especially the crab. I had an issue with one of the dishes, but they handled it well and didn’t charge for it, which I really appreciated. The only issue I faced was the limited menu — they had only about 6–8 items available from the full Menu. I went there around 1 PM for lunch, so that was a bit disappointing.

I would start with a couple of disclaimers, however I would urge to read on until the end: Piggybacking on the other reviews, we thought too the waiters are uninterested and the initial impression portrayed the same, however we could find a bit later that they listened properly and even suggest proper options on what could be best or what could go with what, but yes they don’t talk a lot. Going by the name, one could readily assume that there are a lot of fish options and exotic delicacies based on fish, however this restaurant is not based on fish only, it has a mix of all. Food wise, I would strongly recommend Indian seafood sizzler, the taste was mind blowing. To add to the diversity we later added American Chopsuey and Tandoori chicken and both were pretty delicious. Cost wise it might feel a bit expensive, but not too much and at per with several other restaurants in Puri.
