Points of Interest & Landmarks
Rynek Główny, also known as the Main Market Square, is a large medieval town square with a rich history dating back to the 13th century. It is surrounded by impressive palaces and churches, including notable sites such as St. Mary's Basilica, the Town Hall Tower, and the Cloth Hall. Spanning 40,000 meters in size, it holds the title of being the largest medieval market in Europe.
Before the car ban, before the selfie sticks, before the pigeons unionized and claimed squatter’s rights on every statue, Rynek Główny was a quieter kind of majestic. I remember sitting on the old fountain ledge, legs dangling, watching Fiats roll past like they had somewhere important to be, which, in Kraków, usually meant a café or a cousin’s name day. There were no tourists then, just locals and the occasional accordion player who looked like he’d been playing since the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Now, the square is a theatrical masterpiece. It’s the largest medieval town square in Europe, and it flaunts that fact with the confidence of a peacock in a velvet smoking jacket. The Cloth Hall stands like a Renaissance handbag, full of amber and embroidered napkins, while St. Mary’s Basilica plays its hourly hejnał like Kraków’s heartbeat, a truncated trumpet tune that still manages to stir something ancient in you. One summer, I watched a tourist on a Segway wearing a nun outfit glide past a mime while a brass band played “Dancing Queen.” I was sipping espresso, trying to decide whether this was divine intervention or just Kraków being Kraków. The underground museum is a marvel, but the real treasure is above ground, where every cobblestone feels like it remembers your grandmother’s pierogi recipe. Prices have crept up, sure, but you’re paying for ambiance, architectural flirtation, and the existential thrill of being in a place that’s survived Mongol invasions, partitions, and stag parties. The pigeons are still here, still judging, still ready to steal your obwarzanek if you blink. Rynek Główny isn’t just a square, it’s a stage, a memory, a slightly chaotic love letter to Polish resilience and theatricality. Come for the history, stay for the surrealism, leave with a heart full of amber and a camera full of pigeons.

Picturesque town square, beautiful pictures from all angles. The place really becomes lively at night. Dont miss the square at "blue hour," for us visiting in late september this was 7pm. Abundance of gift shops in the center. Underground Museum is worth a visit. One could spend days just stopping into resturaunts and stores.

Great atmosphere here. I felt very safe here. Always something going on. One night a group of about 100, 16 year olds, gathered and had a dance. Not one sign of trouble. Great atmosphere with the restaurants and shops

Absolutely stunning square with so much history and charm! The atmosphere is vibrant, surrounded by beautiful buildings, cafes, and street performers. A perfect spot to sit, relax, and soak in the city’s energy.

I have being to so many cities main squares in Europe and this one is the most beautiful with great restaurants for food and drinks!!! I just truly love Poland so much and recommend everyone to go and visit.
Vinicius M — Google review
Beautiful central square in Krakow! Huge square, there us a small market in the main building where you can buy souvenirs and also the traditional amber stone, as bracelet or charm, very pretty. You can visit St Mary's basilica and go up to the tower, extraordinary views from Krakow, totally worth the circa 300 steps to get to the top! Lovely restaurants around the square, and not that much expensive compared to others further away from the centre. You can also rent a charming charriot and go around central krakow, day or night
Eva M — Google review
A truly beautiful church decorated to such a high standard that is rarely found anywhere else. There is hardly a surface that has not been majestically decorated.
Colm F — Google review
There is lots to see here - we watched some art/music performances, listened to the bugler, looked at statues and beautiful buildings. There’s the option for horse carriage rides but I didn’t do so. There are also various places to buy souvenirs or snacks such as delicious bread twists.

MNK Sukiennice, also known as the Cloth Hall, is a Renaissance-style market arcade located in Krakow Market Square. Built in the 13th century and later renovated in the Renaissance era, it has been a hub for silk and crochet merchants. This historic site is part of the Krakow Old Town UNESCO World Heritage Site and houses a 19th-century Polish art museum on its upper floor.
Chanced upon an amazing collection of massive historical paintings on the upper floor. We took the lift. Some dark and provoking stuff. A lot of visitors due to complimentary entry. Keep your backpacks in the cloak room though. Small exhibit but enough to impress us while hanging out in Old Town.
Case W — Google review
Such a nice surprise right in the middle of the Main Square. The gallery is small but full of beautiful Polish paintings. It’s calm and not too crowded, so you can really enjoy the art. Great way to take a break from the busy streets outside

The market is great; most things are well priced and theres a huge assortment of stuff. The underground museum was grest. The square is great. Spend a couple days exploring the area and you wont regret it.

The Kraków Cloth Hall, dates to the Renaissance and is one of the city's most recognizable monuments. It is the central feature of the main market square in the Kraków Old Town (the historic center of Kraków). Since the 15th century and aside from its history and cultural value, the hall is still used as a center of commerce.
J V — Google review
We really enjoyed the market hall as we have not had too much experience with them before. It's definitely crowded, but the shops lining both sides are fun to peruse and purchase from. We got our 'travel ornament' from one of the vendors.

A wonderful place, full of people. I was lucky enough to visit this place in good weather. One of the most beautiful squares I have had the opportunity to visit so far. Krakow certainly deserves not to be a stopover, but to be visited with care, because there is a lot to see in this city. I certainly hope to come here again

Sukiennice (The Cloth Market) is a very nice feature on the main square in Cracow. There is an art gallery upstairs, bar with a roof terrace on top and underground there's an interactive museum about the history of this place. Inside there are market stalls with souvenirs, clothes, swords etc. The only downside is the prices are very high, but sometimes one can find a bargain. It's a must seen site in the city.
Agnes W — Google review
The Cloth Hall (Sukiennice) is a gem right in the middle of Kraków’s Main Square! Once a medieval trade hub, today it’s full of souvenir stalls where you can find everything from amber jewelry to local crafts. I loved wandering through its arches and feeling the mix of history and daily life. Don’t miss the art gallery upstairs for a quiet escape. Best time to visit? Late afternoon – fewer crowds and beautiful light for photos!

St. Mary's Basilica, a Roman Catholic church located in the city center, is a must-visit for its stunning features and rich history. The basilica boasts a carved altarpiece and Gothic watchtower that announces the time with hourly trumpet calls. Inside, visitors can admire beautiful tracery and medieval stained glass windows while learning about Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles as well as the pillar-buttress system.
Honestly, this place is way bigger and more detailed than I expected. Walking in, your eyes get pulled everywhere—the crazy intricate wood carvings on the altar, the colorful stained glass, the painted ceilings. It’s easy to get overwhelmed but in the best way. We didn’t spend hours, but just standing there felt like stepping back centuries. Definitely a must-see if you’re in Kraków, even if you’re not a big church person.

I did not expect such a beautiful square in Krakow. The basilica looks fantastic. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to visit it inside, I hope I will have the opportunity to visit this wonderful place again, where people gather, socialize and enjoy. The place is quite lively even in the middle of the working week. Fantastic

St. Mary’s Church in Kraków is one of the most breathtaking places in the city and easily one of my favorite churches in Poland. Its majestic Gothic architecture, richly decorated interior, and intricate details inspire awe and convey a profound sense of solemnity. Built in the 14th century, the church’s construction continued over several centuries. In the late 15th century, it gained one of its most remarkable features – the altarpiece by Veit Stoss, the largest wooden Gothic altarpiece in Europe, created between 1477 and 1489. Commissioned by the citizens of Kraków, it was made from three types of wood: oak for the structure, larch for the background, and limewood for the figures. The interior is equally stunning, adorned with polychrome decoration completed between 1890 and 1892 by Jan Matejko and his collaborators. The star-shaped vaulted ceiling, rich in symbolism and intricate details, gives the impression of heaven descending to earth, while the walls feature biblical scenes and images of saints, inviting quiet reflection. For a small fee, visitors can explore the interior, and a truly special moment occurs at 11:50, when the wings of the main altarpiece open to the accompaniment of music, revealing the exquisite carved scenes in all their detail. The church is also famous for one of Kraków’s most enduring legends – the Mariacki Bugle Call. According to tradition, it originated from a medieval trumpeter who sounded the alarm during an enemy attack and was struck by an arrow while playing. Ever since, the melody has been played every hour in honor of his bravery. St. Mary’s Church masterfully combines history, art, and spirituality. Its beauty and grandeur leave a lasting impression on anyone who visits. It is a place not to be missed, where one can experience the true spirit of Kraków while admiring the stunning altarpiece and polychrome decorations.

St. Mary’s Basilica is absolutely stunning — the interior took my breath away. The colours, detail, and craftsmanship are incredible, and photos really don’t do it justice. It’s also great to see such a beautiful landmark remain accessible and affordable for everyone. Unlike many tourist sites, it doesn’t feel over-commercialised or like it’s trying to monetise a religious space — it’s handled with real respect and care. Whether you’re exploring Kraków for a day or a week, this is a must-visit spot. The surrounding square and old town atmosphere make the whole experience even more special. Highly recommend!

Marvelous cathedral, in the heart of the city center. With two characteristic towers, a Beautiful blue ceiling inside, and the astonishing golden wood panels at the altar. Don't miss the opening ceremony, be prepared at 11h30.

The St. Mary’s Basilica is absolutely beautiful. The architecture and interior details are stunning. There’s usually a line to get in, so plan ahead. Keep in mind that visitors aren’t allowed during mass, but outside those times, the experience is amazing and peaceful.

Wonderful experience. The Basilica is very interesting, nice and rich. Full of emotions. You have to wait a bit sometimes but it worths a visit. Every hour there's a surprise playing music...

Back in Kraków after 5+ years, and this basilica is just as gorgeous as I remembered. Vibrant colors, stunning frescoes, and richly decorated altars make it a true jewel. It proudly anchors Rynek Główny, which is beautiful in its own right. Mass was ongoing, with tourists respectfully using a side entrance. Loved the shiny organ, wish I could hear it!

Historic Walking Areas
Planty is a 4km long chain of gardens encircling the historic center of Kraków, featuring walkways, trees, and lawns. It surrounds notable areas such as the Market Square and Kazimierz, offering unique spots to explore. The park also holds significance for romantic getaways, with attractions like the Bernatek Footbridge where couples can hang love padlocks.
Planty is classed as a park and is excellent for walking. It is a circular walk all the way around the Old Town, and is about 3.5km in total. It follows the route of the old medieval walls. It is almost totally flat all the way around and the walking surface is excellent. There are seats to sit on all the way around and the lighting at night is very good. Can be rather slippery in winter if there's snow on the ground. In the autumn, it is a great place to collect conkers. I love Planty. It is my favourite place to walk.
Nick C — Google review
Such a lovely park to walk around, especially on a hot day - plenty of shade to cover from the sun. There was a Summer Solstice festival going on when we were there, with free flower-crown-making stations dotted throughout the park. A fabulous place for a stroll or a little break to people watch.

An Oasis around the old town of Krakow. Even in October, still lots of wildlife. The very dark, almost black red squirrels, Firecrest, other usual garden birds and my favourite, northern subspecies of long tailed tit.ooking like a flihhing, petite snowball with it's all white head, sorry no photographs.

A very nice area to stroll and walk around und, away from the crowds in the Old Town. Located where the old city walls were, now a nice peaceful area to relax

Planty Park is Kraków’s green escape! Wrapping around the Old Town where the medieval walls once stood, this leafy walkway is perfect for a peaceful stroll or just sitting with a coffee and people‑watching. In spring and summer, it’s full of flowers and shade, while autumn gives it a cozy golden glow. It’s also a great way to circle the city center without the crowds. If you need a breather after sightseeing, this is the spot!

Planty Park is one of my favorite places in Kraków. I love walking its winding paths, which form a green belt around the Old Town where the medieval city walls once stood. Today, instead of stone fortifications, there’s a beautiful park filled with tall trees, benches, and quiet corners perfect for reflection. What makes it truly special is how it changes with the seasons—lush and fragrant in spring, cool and shady in summer, golden and crisp in autumn, and peaceful under a dusting of snow in winter. No matter the time of year, a walk through Planty always offers a unique blend of nature and history.
Monika C — Google review
Planty Park is a must-do walk. It’s the green belt that surrounds the entire Old Town, and it's just wonderful. The park is beautifully landscaped and clearly very well-maintained. We especially loved how many benches there are everywhere, making it the perfect place to stop, relax, and people-watch. We visited in autumn, and it was just stunningly beautiful. The colors of the trees were incredible. A lovely, peaceful escape right next to the busy city center.

Certainly! Here's a version over 200 characters, incorporating the details you provided and adding a bit more descriptive flair, while keeping Krakow in mind. A Tranquil Escape in the Heart of Kraków Escape the city bustle and discover Planty Park, Kraków's verdant embrace. This beautiful, expansive park forms a lush green belt around the Old Town, offering a truly relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along its winding pathways, enveloped by the cool shade of mature trees – a welcome respite from the sun. As you wander, you'll encounter historical gems, including the majestic Florian Gate, adding a touch of grandeur to your walk. It’s the perfect spot for quiet contemplation or a refreshing break.

Wawel Cathedral, located in Cracow, is a significant site for Polish history and culture. It has been the coronation venue for Polish monarchs and is the resting place of numerous kings, national heroes, writers, and artists. The cathedral houses remarkable chapels such as the Holy Cross Chapel with Byzantine frescoes and works by renowned artists like Veit Stoss. Additionally, it features impressive Renaissance artwork in the Sigismund Chapel.
We visited Wawel Castle and the cathedral really impressed us. You can feel the history and atmosphere everywhere. The interior is beautifully decorated, and knowing Polish kings were crowned there is quite moving. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re in Krakow. :)

I didn’t go inside the buildings; we only walked around the open area. Honestly, the architecture isn’t much different from what you find in other classic European cities, but still, I think it’s one of those places you need to visit at least once. It gives you the feeling of truly experiencing the city, even if it’s not something completely unique.
Pedram G — Google review
A piece of art, inside out. The magnificence of the interior is astonishing, with amazing tapisseries, vaults, kings tombs, poets tombs, and beautiful small chapels along the right wing of the cathedral. Not to forget to climb in search for the 3 bells in the tour.

It was a perfect day to see the many wonderful sites at Wawel fortress & cathedral. Access to all the grounds was free, there were some areas that had paid tours you could take. Absolutely lovely, thank you to the wonderful Polish people for allowing their guests to see their beautiful landmarks.

Wawel Cathedral blew me away! Perched on Wawel Hill, this 14th-century Gothic beauty is where Polish kings were crowned and laid to rest – you can literally feel the history in its walls. The royal tombs, the stunning Sigismund Chapel, and the crypts are a must-see. Entry is about 23 PLN, and trust me, going early in the morning makes it way more peaceful. It’s not just a cathedral – it’s like stepping into the heart of Poland’s story.

The beautiful and architecturally impressive Wawel Cathedral is a sight to behold. The stunning golden globe that adorns the roof is surrounded by detailed and ornate elements that collectively make up this stunning cathedral.

I meet the most amazing people in Poland. Yesterday, I met a nice gentleman who asked if I knew about Tadeusz Kościuszko? I said, no. He shared historical facts with me regarding Tadeusz Kościuszko and Booker T. Washington. See, Polish people be dropping knowledge on me and I appreciate them for that as it allows me to share what I learn with others. You may research these 2 and read for yourself. Therefore, I had to take his advice and return up the hill to the Wawel Cathedral to pay my respects and admiration for a true revolutionary hero for All! 🙏🏽🫶🏽😊🇵🇱

Galeria Krakowska is a massive indoor shopping center located in the heart of Krakow, offering around 250 diverse stores and restaurants across three levels. It's a hub for style and fashion, boasting approximately 270 shops within its modern building. Additionally, it's conveniently attached to the central train and bus stations. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor activities nearby such as movie screenings at Wawel Castle or relaxing in Planty Park with a good book.
Huge shopping complex ended with Kraków main railway station. Wast variety of brand shopping outlets, cafeterias, restaurants etc. Being adjacent to the railway station makes it always crowded in the good meaning though. Fantastic food court, free rest rooms, neat, clean and friendly complex with all necessary amenities.

Very large shopping center with a wide selection of stores and restaurants (there’s something for everyone). It’s clean, modern, and well-organized. A big plus: the public restrooms are free, which is not always the case in Poland. It can get quite busy, especially on weekends, but overall a great place for shopping or grabbing a meal.

Located right next to the main train station, it’s super convenient and definitely worth a visit!

Wow a great shopping centre, I went with my daughter and we loved going in all the shops. The queue for the toilets is crazy bad and a long line every time we went so allow plenty of time! Nice food hall too with lots of choice and easy access to the station. We also found a luggage storage here all day at a very low price, I think about £6 for two suitcases and a bag.

Galeria Krakowska is a shopper’s paradise right next to the main train station – super convenient if you’re coming in or out of the city! With over 250 stores, from fashion brands like Zara and Reserved to electronics, cosmetics, and a big Carrefour, it’s easy to spend hours here. The food court is great for a quick bite between shopping sprees. It can get crowded on weekends, so weekdays or early mornings are the best for a more relaxed experience.

Plenty of shops with affordable prices. Restaurants are on the top floor, but also there are some coffee places downstairs. There is a huge carrefour shop which is quite convenient. Also a good place where you can purchase some luggage at an acceptable price (there are at least 3 or 4 shops selling them).

Italian restaurant off.the square with a small patio and nice interior. A little ways away from the main scene so a bit quieter. Clean,.white rustic interior. Friendly service. Good pasta. I had the shrimp and tomato pasta and it was yummy. No bread or any extras.

I apologize, I accidentally left you a review about another establishment and have already deleted it. I hope this doesn't affect your overall rating. I was in Bianca with four other people and we all really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the waiter was pleasant and attentive. I will definitely come back to Bianca and recommend it to others.

I went to the restaurant with my family, but I ordered a gnocchi dish and found a hair in it. Luckily, they brought a new one. Also, the waiters kept pushing our orders into our hands instead of serving them. We couldn't understand why they had a corner table if they couldn't reach it. Aside from these issues, we really enjoyed the creme brulee. The other dishes were delicious, too. But I don't think I'll go back.

It was nice terrace and very nice service. Unfortunately the food was more or less average. Pasta with beef consist really well-done beef pieces which was cut very different sizes. It was not too hot. My spouses duck was nice.

While the food and service are good and adequate to the price, atmosphere itself is not nice. So called open kitchen is not open, it is like eating in the kitchen itself. The smoke from fried fat was horrible, it was really not nice sitting there and now all the clothes must be washed to get rid of the stink.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Krakow's Main Market Square, Europejska Cafe is a hidden gem that many visitors might overlook at first glance. Its stunning Art Nouveau facade beckons passersby, and upon stepping inside, you'll find that the interior mirrors this charming style. The cafe comes alive from mid-March to October with outdoor seating adorned with colorful sunshades, creating an inviting atmosphere for both locals and tourists alike.
I did not order food, but I stay for drinks and it was lovely…. They have a nice terrace facing the main square. The service was a bit slow but I’m was nice and polite. Food price are medium high for Poland. You can pay with card or cash, the toilets were spotless.

My first taste of pierogi in Poland and it did not disappoint! Cream cheese and spinach with sour cream was beautiful! Chicken and bacon salad was elite (i came back and ordered myself) and my wife ordered the chicken pasta that was lush! A lovely meal with the most amazing views of the square!

I came to Krakow for 4 days, the first day we came across this cafe by chance as we wanted a nice cocktail, however it became a daily visit! Ranging from drinks, to lunch and a delightful dinner! It was the most beautiful pasta i have eaten. All the waiters are lovely, Andrew in particular was very attentive. Highly recommended

You can tell a good place from One that is even better. Perfect tea service despite a crowded terrace, personnel smiling and friendly. Run efficiently and effectively. Desserts are subliminal

Service was excellent, cocktails were delicious! Not a bad price for the main square either! We came back the next day to have some more cocktails here, nice heaters for when it's abit chilly too!

Choose a table at the end of the terrace for people watching and taking in the atmosphere. In the evening the lights across the square made it even more beautiful and the horse and carriages passing by added to the charm. I visited with my daughter and the staff went above and beyond making her feel special by making her a dish that wasn’t even on the menu. The service throughout the evening was excellent. They never rushed us but made sure to check in and see if we needed anything. The food was good and the pierogis stood out as phenomenal. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the views and location which was incredible. I would definitely recommend going here for a meal or a spot to simply enjoy a drink while soaking in the atmosphere.

We had dinner on a beautiful terrace and received outstanding service from our waiter, André. He was extremely professional, friendly, and patient. I wanted to make a few changes to my dish, which was no problem at all, and the food turned out absolutely delicious. We truly enjoyed our evening and will 100% come back. The cognac pepper sauce is simply amazing. Thank you so much, André. Everything was perfect nothing to fault, everything was tasty.

We had an amazing experience at this Michelin-recommended restaurant. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! We started with the Start With dish, followed by wine and a main course. For dessert, we had a wonderful treat that complemented the meal perfectly. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food and the overall experience. It was our first time here, and we will definitely be coming back for more

Superb Polish traditional food with modern accents. The service is on par with any fine dining restaurant.. our waiter's suggestions for both food and wine accompaniments were spot on! If the weather is nice, try and get a table in the garden for beautiful all fresco dining

We enter this restaurant by mistake, just as a fact if being hungry and it was in our way... we weren't disappointed, it was the best decision of the day. We were seated although didn't reserve in advance, and pretty quickly got the menus. We took a plate of duck confi, and one of pork chop, with local wheat beer. It was delicious

Had an amazing dinner experience in this restaurant. Staff was really friendly and professional and kindly set me up with a table even if I didn’t have a reservation. I got the half roasted duck and a soup similar to zurek (similar taste). Both dishes were absolutely delicious! Given the quality of the food, I believe that prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.

Exceptionally good service! We had a wonderful dining experience — the food was delicious, beautifully presented. The wine list offered plenty of great options, including some locally produced Polish wines that were great to try. Our waiter recommended a sweet dessert wine from northern Poland, near the coastline — and it was excellent! The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, making the whole evening really enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit.

Great spot for traditional Polish food in the heart of Kraków. We tried pierogi, polish cheese assortment, homemade bread, soup, meat and beetroot dishes… all were delicious and well-prepared. Cozy interior, nice garden area and friendly service. Prices are reasonable. Slight wait between courses, but overall a very good experience.
Nestor C — Google review
Kogel Mogel delighted us in every way, from the Michelin-level service to the creative cocktails (and mocktails) to the freshness and mastery of ingredients. Each dish satisfies the palette with a new adventure, derived from Polish tradition cooked from a new and masterful perspective. Our waiter was efficient and friendly as he guided us through the menu, and was always there when we wanted him at exactly the right times - and not there when we wanted to be left to ourselves to savor the moments. The menu descriptions are deceptively simple, but lushly nuanced when delivered. For example, the "Green salad, goat cheese, cucumber, chive mayonnaise" was one of the best salads we've ever eaten, and leaves out the pickled shallots that elevated the flavor. The basil-grapefruit gin fizz was beautiful and balanced and came in a nonalcoholic version that was just as good. The cold beet soup with quail egg was rich and delicious and complex. The entrees continued the theme of excellence. A pork chop on the bone with buttery cabbage and a lovely sharpness from fresh horseradish was as light as the lightest schnitzel. And the slow-cooked beef in a scrumptious deep mahogany wine sauce melted in my mouth and was perfectly complemented by a carrot-fennel puree. And I keep coming back to the seemingly simple side dish of steamed new potatoes and dill, which was perfect in the way that Joel Robuchon's famous mashed potatoes transformed simple, limited ingredients into a taste of heaven. Dessert did not disappoint - a carmelized fresh apple cake with vanilla sauce and tart blackcurrant compote as a fine finish. The whole feast cost a fraction of the price of equivalent restaurants elsewhere, making the value proposition here unbeatable. I highly recommend you stop by for a meal worthy of the elegance and richness that is Krakow itself!

When we first found this restaurant online, we were really excited to finally try traditional Polish cuisine, especially since it’s recognized by the Michelin Guide. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The food was delicious and full of flavor, the atmosphere was cozy, and the location was perfect — especially if your hotel is in the city center. However, what completely overshadowed all the positive aspects of our experience was the attitude of the waiter at the moment of payment. It felt as though he was insisting that we had to leave a tip, without really giving us the option to decide for ourselves. With the card terminal already in his hand, it seemed like we were almost being forced to pay extra. Of course, we understand perfectly well that in a restaurant of this level, leaving a tip is common and expected — that’s not the issue. The point is that a tip should be a personal choice, depending on how satisfied you were with the service, not something assumed or imposed. It wasn’t a matter of arrogance or rudeness, perhaps just a wrong way of asking — but unfortunately, that moment somehow ruined the overall impression of an otherwise excellent restaurant.

Very good food and a great experience overall. I went for the à la carte rather than the tasting menu, and it was already excellent. The kitchen revisits traditional Polish and Eastern European dishes with a modern twist, and the wine selection is also very good. Tonight, we had the pleasure of dining at Filipa 18, and it was an experience we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was nothing short of amazing, a testament to the chef’s expertise and the restaurant’s commitment to quality. Each dish was a delight, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavors that both surprised and satisfied. It’s clear that Filipa 18 doesn’t just serve food; they craft dining experiences.Thank you to the entire team for making our evening so special.

Filipa 18 is a great restaurant but I would like to be honest with my review. When we walked in it was a bit awkward as the staff were around the corner near the kitchen so we weren’t greeted straight away, as we had to walk into the restaurant to find them. Then we put our own coats on the coat rack which was fine, but at fine dining it’s all about the attention to detail and I like for someone to take my coat for me. The table was set lovely with gorgeous silverware and wine glasses. Our waiter was very nice and he gave us some good recommendations. He even wore white gloves for touching our silver which I thought was a great touch. The starters were incredible! So tasty and we didn’t really know what to expect. We had the deer sausage and the goats cheese starters. Onto mains, my partner had the duck leg which I tried and it was absolutely divine! However, I ordered the chicken and it was very bland. Chicken was cooked beautifully but the sauce had no flavour and I couldn’t taste the truffle whatsoever, so it was a huge let down. I think it would have been much nicer with risotto instead of sunflower seeds. We had a very unusual dessert which was the crepe but it was like a dessert spring roll, I thought that was a great idea. We had lovely wine and some prosecco. Overall it was a nice experience but I have to rate it 4 star due to my main course.

We chanced upon this restaurant as we were staying at Indigo Hotel (just upstairs) and decided to have dinner here. The food was amazing and we understood why they are part of the Michelin Guide. This has to be one of our best meals on our Europe trip this Christmas. The service was attentive and our food was served promptly after each course. And most importantly, the taste was of course amazing! Would highly recommend a meal here if you are in Krakow!

Perched on a hilltop, the Wawel Royal Castle-State Art Collection in Krakow boasts a rich history dating back to the 14th century. Overlooking the medieval city and Vistula River, it holds great significance for Poles, symbolizing their country's past glory under powerful monarchs. Despite no longer serving as a royal residence, it remains a unifying symbol for the Polish people.
Wawel Castle is without doubt one of the most impressive and historically important sites in Kraków, and a symbol of Polish heritage. Perched on Wawel Hill above the Vistula River, it combines beautiful Renaissance courtyards, Gothic towers, and breathtaking views over the city. Walking through the royal chambers, the armory, and the treasury, you get a real sense of the centuries of power and culture that shaped Poland. The nearby Wawel Cathedral, with its chapels and royal tombs, is equally remarkable and deeply moving, as it is the final resting place of Polish kings, queens, and national heroes. Even if you don’t go inside, the grounds are worth exploring for the atmosphere and panoramic views. This is a place where history, art, and architecture come together in a truly unique way. Absolutely essential on any visit to Kraków.

The Wawel Royal Castle, on the Wawel Hill, is one the most, historically and culturally, important sites in Poland. Used to be the residence of kings in the past, the castle is now one very important art museum. You need 4-5 hours to visit all chambers and see all the art exhibits. A collection of paintings, prints, sculpture, textiles, tapestry, arms and armor, ceramics.. There is an entrance fee for the most rooms, but there are some parts you can visit for free. Do not miss a walk around the hill, it's truly fantastic if the weather is good!

Wawel Royal Castle is a beautiful trip that is definitely worth the visit! The architecture is impressive and full of history, offering an enriching cultural experience. Furthermore, its location provides a beautiful view of the river Vistula, perfect for photos and relaxation. To complete the visit, make sure to see the famous Wawel Dragon statue, which, to everyone's delight, breathes fire every 10 minutes! It's a fun detail that appeals to all ages. The attraction is very well maintained, and the whole complex is a must-see tourist spot in Poland.

Visiting the Wawel Royal Castle–State Art Collection is an unforgettable experience that beautifully blends art, architecture, and history. Perched above the Vistula River, the castle offers breathtaking views of Kraków and an atmosphere that feels almost timeless. Every corner of the complex tells a story — from the grand royal chambers to the intricate tapestries and stunning Renaissance courtyards. The State Art Collection is incredibly well curated, showcasing exquisite works that highlight Poland’s royal heritage and artistic legacy. The Crown Treasury and Armoury, in particular, are a must-see for anyone interested in medieval craftsmanship and regal splendor. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, eager to share insights and answer questions, making the experience even more enriching. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and there’s plenty of space to wander, reflect, and take in the history that surrounds you. Whether you’re an art lover, a history enthusiast, or simply a traveler in search of beauty and culture, Wawel Castle is an absolute gem — a true symbol of Poland’s enduring spirit and elegance.

The Wawel Royal Castle Gardens in Kraków are a beautifully restored part of Poland’s most iconic historic site. Nestled on Wawel Hill, the gardens offer a serene escape from the city, with meticulously arranged flower beds, manicured lawns, and stunning views over the Vistula River. They blend Renaissance design with natural charm, evoking the elegance of royal life while maintaining a peaceful, contemplative atmosphere. The State Art Collection housed within Wawel Castle is equally impressive. It features masterpieces of European art, exquisite tapestries from the 16th century, royal portraits, and priceless artifacts from Poland’s regal past. Highlights include the famous Flemish tapestries commissioned by King Sigismund II Augustus and an exceptional collection of Renaissance and Baroque art. Together, the gardens and the art collection make Wawel not only a symbol of Polish heritage but also a living museum of art, architecture, and nature — a must-see for any visitor to Kraków!

This is a very impressive castle. We booked a tour so that we could learn a lot, but there is so much to see that the tour felt kind of fast. Book based on your personal preference - if you wish to linger maybe go with an audio guide. It’s very interesting and a wonderful place to visit.

A must do if you're visiting Kraków. The exterior grounds themselves are free to roam as you please, you will only need to pay to access the exhibitions inside the interior rooms of the castle. I will advise you that the tickets for the cathedral and rest of the castle attractions are sold in separate ticket booths. These tickets booths are clearly signposted however so you should have no issue in getting around. Also you must buy individual tickets for each of the attractions that you wish to visit during your time at the castle. All in all, it's a great day out for all the family and you can spend several hours here getting to see all of the great exhibits that are on display. There are also ample facilities for food, storing bags and toilets (which you can use your entrance ticket to access for free).

Art Museums
The National Museum in Kraków is a must-visit destination, featuring three permanent galleries showcasing artworks and historical artifacts from Poland and other parts of Europe. The museum's Main Building, Sukiennice Gallery, Erazm Ciolek Palace, Europeum, Czapski Museum, Matejko House, Mehoffer House, Archaeological Museum main building and deputies are all part of the museum complex.
The museum is free on Tuesdays. It consists of 3 floors in total, one floor is dedicated exclusively to paintings. Dozens of works from contemporary art movements of the 20th and 21st centuries are exhibited. The other floor displays objects used by the population of the past, decorative items, clocks, etc., as well as religious exhibits.
Hüseyn Q — Google review
Entry for the standard exhibitions were £7. There were several other exhibitions on which had an additional ticket price although all felt very reasonable. Large bags must be put in a locker which was free to use. The first floor had a wide selection of beautiful historic artifacts to explore. The second floor had artwork by Polish artists. The art gallery was my favourite part, it was well laid out taking you through different artistic eras with great learning on the timelines. This meant there was a huge range from more classic paintings to futurism and expressionism. I personally found some of the information sheets hard to find for some items that I wanted to read about. I also don't think it's the largest museum (if you're paying for the standard exhibition.) If I went again I'd definitely research the exhibitions on and choose one to also go to.

Amazing museum. The permanent exhibition is on floor 1 and 2 where it has artifacts from krakow and europe and on 2nd floor contains more arts from polish and European artists and the development from 1850 to today. Amazing exhibitions overall it's a mist visit if you go to Krakow

The temporary exhibition of Chełmoński was The most beautifully and skilfully curated exhibition I’ve ever seen in my life. With such attention to detail, such vast knowledge in many fields and competency, the way it’s exhibited itself is the work of art on top of the actual works of Chełmoński which are, obviously, masterpieces. The curators feeds us knowledge of the history background of paintings, their stories of creation, absolutely stunning compendium of the art techniques used and, additionally, a vast insight into horsemanship and nature, emphasising ornithology. The exhibition is marvellously representing Chełmoński’s multiple interests and phases, its truly worth visiting for multiple reasons ❤️👍
Agata Z — Google review
A very big museum with lots of things to see from different eras. Plan to spend 1.5 hours here, maybe more if having an audio guide. An immersive experience, showcasing how people lived in the past, this museum is definitely worth its money. A must see in Kraków!
A K — Google review
The building is interesting but the museum unfortunately did not meet my expectations. I visited the permanent collection at the 1st and the 2nd floor. The 1st floor exhibition was quite dull as well as the presentation and lighting. The art ,mainly portraits, at the 2nd floor were a bit more interesting and better presented. I would not recommend spending much time in that museum.
El Z — Google review
The museum has a nice selection of 20th and 21st Polish art. The decorative art section, while fairly large, suffered from dim lighting and any easily readable information on the objects.

Father Bernatek’s Bridge, also known as the Love Lock Bridge or Father Bernatek Footbridge, is a modern pedestrianized river crossing in Krakow adorned with captivating sculptures of acrobats by artist Jerzy Kędziora. This Instagram-worthy spot connects the lively Kazimierz district with the vibrant Podgorze neighborhood over the Vistula River.
Magic pedestrian and bikes bridge with flying sculptures. Connecting 2 important districts of Krakow - Kazimierz and Podgorze. It's like 'soho in London' You can eat, meet friends, dance listen music. Artistic place with soule & magic plus the expressive symbolism of a footbridge connecting two worlds.

At night the bridge becomes a theatrical experience. Green Light, the constant thrumming and wobbling caused by feet, raucous party boats passing underneath and the gorgeous cityscape of Krakow. Wonderful. And when you've enjoyed that pop down to Slay Space and grab a beer.

A great unique bridge to cross over at night. It's amazing to see the acrobats mid bridge and with a little wind the figures move in place while structurly safe on their spot.

Father Bernatek's Bridge at night in Kraków is truly a spectacle! The way the lights illuminate the pedestrian and cyclist walkway, reflecting off the Vistula River, creates a magical and romantic atmosphere. Strolling across it felt like stepping into a dream. The suspended acrobatic figures are even more captivating when lit up against the night sky, adding a unique and artistic touch to the experience. It's a fantastic spot for an evening walk, offering stunning views of Wawel Castle and the surrounding cityscape bathed in soft light. If you're in Kraków, don't miss the chance to see Father Bernatek's Bridge after dark – it's an unforgettable sight!

Beautiful walk through some areas full of interesting shops and sites to reach the bridge but we'll worth whatever time it took! First saw the pedestrian bridge from a little evening boat ride and wanted to see it better hence walked along. Highly recommend as it's delightful! Pedestrians only on one side of the bridge and cyclists on the other. Never the twain shall meet! Also look out for the dragon on the entrance to the pedestrian side of the bridge.

The Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec is a centuries-old monastery situated on a cliff with stunning views of the Vistula River. The monks cultivate their own ingredients and sell their divine creations in an on-site shop.
We cycled from Krakow to this beautiful Abbey. Great cycle route along the river, easy ride (around 15km). The Abbey was a great place to visit, explore and have a drink before cycling back to Krakow. Lovely day trip

This was my second time visiting. There was no renovation during my first visit, but now the outside of the church was under construction, with scaffolding at the entrance (in mid-August). Still, it’s such a peaceful spot surrounded by nature. I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in Krakow. If you visit, I’d also suggest a walk along the river. When you head down from the church, just take the stairs on the left, it’s an easy way down.

Beautiful Abbey, make sure you take the time to walk the trails outside of it. Even better is if you grab a few photos from across the river. Incredibly history of defending against the Russians and a very unique story of its well.

Located at Kanonicza 22, Pod Nosem is a modern European fine dining restaurant in Krakow. It offers a variety of dishes such as venison tartare, nettle soup, goose gizzards, and szarlotka (apple pie). The restaurant's outdoor seating provides a stunning view of the Wawel Castle. With its Michelin-star status and memorable Polish cuisine, it's recommended to make reservations in advance.
We booked a table at Pod Nosem on Tuesday, July 8. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of space around the table, and a warm welcome. Viktor, our waiter, was very skilled and attentive. He gave excellent recommendations for both food and drinks. We started with the wild boar dumplings — the best dumplings we’ve ever tasted. Two of us ordered the quail, and one had the deer sirloin. For dessert, we shared the New York cheesecake. The food was fantastic A wonderful experience and we can recommend a visit to Pod Nosem.

I recently visited this restaurant for dinner and, unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The food was rather average, and the service left much to be desired. I wasn’t offered any water or a drink upon being seated and had to request it myself. Furthermore, my glass wasn’t refilled when my water was running low, which felt a little inattentive. Additionally, I wasn’t offered the chance to taste the champagne beforehand to see if I liked it; the waiter simply poured it without asking. That said, I’m giving it three stars for its lovely romantic atmosphere and beautifully designed interior, which made the setting quite charming.

We had a fantastic tasting menu here, which was a clever blend of Polish and modern fine dining. The views looking onto the castle are really impressive, and the service was great. Quite reasonably priced too. Highly recommend!

Great little restaurant located in the old town. My friend noticed it was a Michelin star restaurant so had to try it out. I had the Zurek soup and meat pierogies. Both were very good. Service was friendly; attentive, and knowledgeable. All in all a good experience.

Absolutely delicious meal. Looked amazing, tasted great. Our waitress, Olivia, was great too, coming up with just the right wine choice. It won't be your cheapest dinner out, especially if you drink some of the good wines, but for a special occasion, it was just brilliant.

Gorgeous spot to eat, service & food are superb. We sat outside with the castle view & the prettiest old town views. Staff are polite, helpful. Fully recommend this restaurant.

Dining solo at Pod Nosem was a pleasant experience, with the evening starting on a classic note: chicken liver pâté accompanied by a selection of very good breads. For my meal, I chose: Brioche with foie gras and raspberry mousse – the most adventurous pairing of the evening. The flavours worked, but did not quite surprise. Deer sirloin with asparagus, béarnaise sauce, and foie – a safe, traditional dish, well prepared but without any unexpected twists. Cheesecake with raspberry sauce – a familiar, tried-and-tested combination, competently done. A glass of Polish Gewürztraminer, recommended by my waitress Olivia, proved a very good match—unassuming yet exactly right for the menu. The food overall was good, leaning towards the traditional rather than inventive. Perhaps that was the intention: to present Polish cuisine in a refined but recognisable way. Where Pod Nosem excelled was in service. Olivia struck the perfect balance—attentive without hovering, professional yet warm. She made me feel like a valued guest while also giving me the space to enjoy the meal in peace. The atmosphere was elegant but comfortable, creating the right backdrop for a relaxed evening. Would I return? Yes. Pod Nosem delivers solid cooking and outstanding service—an enjoyable place to revisit when in Kraków.

I visited Pod Nosem alone on a Saturday evening. Enjoyed the qualified staff, who was very polite - yet relaxed - present and knew about the food, and especially the wines. I had the Foie Gras. It was delicious, but the bread underneath was a bit bland. It was a shame. The tenderloin tasted amazing and was perfectly cooked. I was very well guided about the wine and vodka choises along the way, and that made it a absolutely fine and complete evening in the atmospheric old building. Thank you Pod Nosem - huge fan ❤️

Absolutely fantastic experience! We visited this restaurant twice during our 3-day stay in Krakow, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was delicious, especially the homemade dumplings, which were some of the best we’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic local food and great hospitality!

The food was ok but nothing special. It was slightly overcooked and the service from the waitress was interesting as she was devoid of any emotions. The grapefruit juice was freshly squeezed and good.

Art Restaurant, located on the historic Kanonicza Street in Krakow, offers an elegant dining experience with a focus on elevated seafood and meat dishes as well as delectable desserts. Situated near Wawel Castle and Main Market Square, this restaurant provides a sophisticated ambiance with white table linens and top-notch service. The menu features a modern interpretation of traditional Polish cuisine, utilizing seasonal and local ingredients.
After such a long walk in Old town, its nice to sit and enjoy the rest of the night in this restaurant, clean and cozy, spacious and comfortable. We only ordered salad for light dinner and its perfect, their beef carpaccio is a good choice, staffs are attentive and knowledgeable on their menu, thank you 👍

Excellent food. We were looking for a tasting menu in Krakow based on Polish food and here is perfect for that. The restaurant is well designed, service was very good, excellent explanation of each course. We had the 9 course tasting without the drinks pairing. Had some good cocktails to start and bottle of wine with food. Wine starts from €28/bottle. All 9 courses were delicious, perfectly sized, see the pictures. We were seated in the basement, which is a really nice space, but most the tables around us were empty which made the atmosphere a little quiet but the food was worth it. Chef came to say hello at the end too which was very nice. 👋

We have got there on a NY day and we were still served. Our waiter was really knowledgeable about the food and matching wines. Scrumptious food with melting rosemary butter as a candle was a great treat to start the new year with! Thank you! N. B. If in doubt, I highly recommend to try the brownie - I'm not a person with a sweet tooth, yet it stole my heart!

1. Location, interior, atmosphere and services are great. 2. Harmonized taste, cozy plating, everthing was great but it might little bit salty according to personal preferences. 3. Deserved to pay for great taste and atmosphere but quite higher than my expectation. Please consider Krakow is the most popular travel place in Poland and definitely higher than other places :D But Invest your budget and valuable time at ART restaurant. (I am here with my family)

Best meal we have ever had, nothing compares after this restaurant!!!!!!! A MUST for foodies! My boyfriend and I visited ART restaurant back in October but we have only got round to writing a review now. We had the most amazing dining experience. We booked this restaurant well in advance as we had seen so many good reviews on here. We had opted for the five courses with wine pairing but when we arrived we changed our minds as we preferred the food on the seven course menu (which was more like ten courses with lots of extras) The wine/spirit pairing was worth every penny too! Matteo (Matthew) Was our waiter for the evening, his knowledge of wine and food was outstanding and he was so Profesional, the best waiter we have ever had- thank you! ALL the food was above and beyond expectation, each course was just incredible. I have seen a few comments on here saying the portions are too small and you will leave hungry.... WOW they must have a HUGE appetite as myself and my boyfriend (who has a large appetite) left very full and satisfied. It is fine dining not a hungry horse! For this standard of food you would pay x5 as much back home with a wine pairing. It was a lovely treat on our holiday and I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food and service! We cant wait to come back and have told so many friends and family about this place. We will never forget our night at ART thank you!!!!!!! The only downside = nothing since has been held as good!

My colleagues and I were attended by a great person - Miroslaw - ready to help and eager to detail about the place, dishes, and local specialities. I definitely recommend the place as a place of elegant authenticity and enjoyment!!!

This is a really nice restaurant. The staff is so service minded and accommodating. We had the 9 course degustation menu, and the highlights were the leek dumplings, the foie gras and the parsley (lime) ice cream. All so very delicious. The very high note, however, was our server. She explained to us in great detail why she had selected the wines and spirits to the dishes. Not just what they are but WHY. We really enjoyed our more than 4 hour long evening and we highly reccommend Art Restaurant to anyone wanting to try Polish cuisine in a modern and reinvented fashion.

Nestled beneath the bustling streets of Krakow, C.K. Browar | Bar & Restaurant has been a beloved establishment since its inception in 1996, making it the oldest continuously operating brewery in the city. This hidden gem features a spacious beer hall adorned with wooden tables and vibrant billiard lamps that create an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of traditional Bavarian festivities.
We were looking for place to eat dinner in Kraków, something traditional with great beer. We found this place near place we stayed over night. From outside it looked inconspicuous, but when we got inside, we were amazed by the interior and the atmosphere. The whole place is divided into 2 sections - bar and restaurant, which are divided by glass wall, so it is quiet in restaurant section. We ordered źurek soup, tomato soup and traditional polish meat plate for 2 people, every meal tasted perfectly and portions were huge. We tasted their own beer (this place is also brewery) and it was great and they had many variants. We even bought take-way beer for our friends home. Our waiter for that evening was named Sergej and we were really satisfied with his attitude, kindness and great service. He always asked if everything is alright and how we liked the food and drinks. We talked to us and in the end he offered us shot their home-made liquor made from dark beer, which was really nice of him. Definetely recommend this place.

From the outside, the restaurant looks very modest, but once you step inside, you’re greeted by a beautiful atmosphere. The restaurant has separate rooms for a quiet area and a “livelier” part — there’s a regular pub here too. We really appreciated the quite area because we wanted to have a peaceful dinner in the evening. The food was excellent, fantastic, and they had no problem packing up our leftovers to take away. We even bought some beers as souvenirs for our family back home. We were served by a very kind man named Sergiej. I have never encountered such a wonderful and customer-oriented attitude — I would really like to thank him, because his kindness made our evening so much better. 😊❤️ I wish there were more staff like him. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Once again, thank you so much, especially to Sergiej! ❤️😊

Day 3

Proximity is everything
For day 3, we bundled attractions like Wieliczka Salt Mine and Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory and other places within a close range, so that the time it takes to travel between all of them is less than one hour. Located on the outskirts of Krakow in South Poland, the Wieliczka Salt Mine is a 13th-century UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest and most stunning salt mines globally. It features underground tunnels, chapels, chambers, saline lakes, and offers themed tours suitable for all ages. The mine showcases an interactive history of medieval European mining techniques and houses remarkable artworks hundreds of meters below ground.
I really enjoyed the tour, good information. Amazing views (inside 😄), I can't describe it and the pictures don't do it any justice. The mine is absolutely amazing, the size, the beauty, the effort and detail on the handcrafted figures, everything really. Some of the rooms you enter are just jaw dropping, yout mind just goes to wonder how did someone build this. The temperature is really nice inside, 14-17c at all times, I was happy in a t-shirt but some people had light jackets on. There are loads of gift shops at the exit and they sell everything that the underground ones do, so unless you want to carry bags throughout the tour, buy your gifts at the exit. I tried the restaurant before the return to the surface and it was great. Good food and good quantity. I will be returning in the future. For management, I just have two suggestions...One, please try to get some radio relays in the tunnels as the signal was very bad of you were in the back of the tour group. Two, bigger gaps between tours would be great, just to give more time to see some of the areas in more detail. But overall amazing.
Fabio C — Google review
Great tour with a group and an English speaking guide. Huge network of hallways, rooms and shafts, all in perfect condition (those made for tourism). Restaurants and toilets at 130-135 m depth. You walk down, back up is by elevator. Really a must see attraction.
John B — Google review
It was absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend visiting! The tour lasts about 2–3 hours and is split into two parts: the salt mine itself and a museum tour afterwards. You can skip the museum if you’re tired. I paid 143 Zł, which I think is totally fair for such a unique experience. The tour guide was fantastic—very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and open. There’s a lot of walking and many stairs,😂 so I’d recommend comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for moving around. It’s definitely suitable for children above a certain age and for older visitors as long as they’re fairly mobile, but it’s not ideal for anyone with limited mobility. As for the highlights: the first massive hall was breathtaking, the two underground lakes were stunning, the underground church was on another level, and the final hall left me completely amazed. All in all, I learned so much that day and had an unforgettable adventure. An absolute must-see!
SAKI — Google review
An absolutely incredible experience and one of the real highlights of our trip. The Wieliczka Salt Mine completely exceeded expectations. It’s vast, beautifully lit and full of fascinating history. The scale of it is hard to take in until you’re actually down there, walking through the tunnels and chambers carved entirely from salt. The guided tour was excellent, with just the right mix of facts, humour and storytelling. The underground chapels and sculptures are astonishing, and it’s amazing to think they were all hand carved by miners. Every turn reveals something unexpected, from chandeliers made of salt crystals to huge caverns that feel almost otherworldly. It’s well organised, easy to reach from Krakow, and surprisingly comfortable even deep underground. I’d recommend it to anyone. It’s one of those rare places that truly lives up to the hype.

5 stars – A breathtaking underground journey! The Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the most unforgettable places I've ever visited. From the moment you descend into the tunnels, you're surrounded by centuries of history carved entirely from salt. The Chapel of St. Kinga is a masterpiece — it feels like stepping into a cathedral made by nature and human hands working in harmony. The tour was well-organized, the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, and the atmosphere was magical. The underground lakes, sculptures, and mining tools give you a real sense of what life was like for the miners. It’s hard to believe such beauty exists beneath the surface! Highly recommend booking tickets in advance, especially during peak season. Whether you're into history, architecture, or just looking for a unique adventure — this place delivers.

My wife and I visited the salt mine in early October. It is an awe-inspiring place. We would highly recommend a visit. The history is fascinating and the cathedral is spectacular. Our guide, Natalie, was excellent. She was positive, engaging, insightful, and energetic. We had an amazing and memorable time. The tour is quite long (2+ hours) and you do walk over 3 km, descending down through the mine over 100 meters by a mix of ramps and stairs. Good news, you take an elevator back up.
David D — Google review
A complete waste of time and money! The entry is a catastrophe. It is pure chaos. There is no organization, just massive, confusing lines. You wait forever just to get in, with no information about what's happening. The tour is a rushed mess. They promise a 2.5-hour experience, but ours was barely 1 hour and 40 minutes. Why? Because you are constantly being herded. The group behind us was always on our heels, so our guide just pushed us forward. You have no time to stop or appreciate anything. The guide said almost nothing. We learned very little. The tour was mostly just walking in silence. Mostly boring, dark tunnels. It is not as good as the pictures. There are 2 or 3 chambers that are interesting and beautiful, but most of the tour is just walking and walking through dark tunnels with nothing to see. Getting out is even worse. After being rushed through, you are dumped into another massive queue to wait for the tiny elevator to the surface. You wait and wait and wait. To make matters worse, the tour ends about 650-700 meters away from the entrance where you started! And of course, they only tell you this at the very end! You have to find your own way back. Completely overpriced. This is a total tourist trap. It is simply not worth the money for what you get. Overall, this was a huge disappointment. Don't waste your time or your money. Go somewhere else.

Specialty Museums
Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory, located in the old industrial district between Podgorze and Kazimierz, is a museum that pays homage to the remarkable courage of Oskar Schindler during the Nazi occupation of Krakow. The factory, immortalized in Steven Spielberg's film 'Schindler's List,' was where over 1,200 Jews were saved from concentration camps through employment.
This guided tour was only a little about Schindler as it walks you through the story of Poland in WW2 from different perspectives. Very informative and the hour and a half tour was the perfect length. Our guide spoke clearly and concisely (in English) and was very engaging as she told this fascinating story. We booked tickets and tour online which was a great choice: we skipped the long queue out front and were ushered inside first when our time came. I highly recommend this tour and the guide is so worth it. We definitely would not have got the depth of understanding if we’d gone in on our own. I was deeply moved at various points; this is an experience I will not forget.
Kelly C — Google review
We visited Schindlers factory on rhe first day of our trip to Krakow. We had been in the city about 10 years ago and missed it then so wanted to make sure we got there this time. Firstly this is less a tour of Oskar Schindler's factory anf more a WW2 museum that just happens to be in the same building that Oskar Schindler happened to use. There isnt a lot about Schindler and his workers. Most of it is about the war in Krakow and Poland. Very informative but something you need to know if you are specifically going to see the factory from the film. If you are going with that in mind you may be disappointed. But if you want to learn about WW2 in Krakow then this will be the place for you. Another tip. Book in advance and get a skip the queue ticket. We didnt and when we joined the queue it didnt seem too long maybe 100 people in front of us. It took over 2 hours to get in. Every ten or fifteen minutes around 10 people would get in. Meanwhile dozens got in via skip the queue in the same time. So dont queue. Book a skip the queue tour. But that said we enjoyed the visit and would highly recommend it.
Colm F — Google review
A must visit. Get here early, as there was a queue at opening. The permanent exhibition is great, and you go around the actual factory. If you remember the film, you'll see the iconic entrance/ staircase. Ignore the website about ticket availability and the sign on the door. Worth the queue time.
Tom W — Google review
A must see , made better by watching the fantastic Schindler's List to get an additional appreciate of events. Tour guide (via Get Your Guide) was informative and knowledgeable. Earphones provided with this program and skip the queue also, as your booked in at a certain Time
Emmet507 — Google review
It could be a better experience. Nothing related to the topic or the documentation presented. I do suggest booking in advance because there are a few places left for individuals and many organised groups. In the museum spaces are narrow and it's difficult to visit when crowded.
Cristina C — Google review
Really interesting museum with lots of information and exhibits. We queued on the day, morning, to get entry. They were letting people in 10 at a time. Took us about 30 mins to get in - the queue was much bigger in the afternoon. The biggest downside to the museum is the sheer amount of tours going through it. Some of the corridors are too narrow for 20 ppl+ groups to just stand around and listen to a guide. If you get caught behind one group it’s a nightmare to get past. Maybe consider limiting the amount of group tours passing through.
Andrew G — Google review
Amazing museum, it's a must go if you are in Krakow. Very educational, it goes over the story of how Schindler was able to help, what they were doing in the factory and what was happening during the time around them. There are also a few movies and clips with people retelling their story about what happened and there are also a lot of pictures from back then.
Gregorio R — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A deeply moving and powerful experience. The museum gives an impressive and emotional insight into life in Kraków during WWII and Oskar Schindler’s story. Exhibitions are very well done, with authentic artifacts and immersive installations. It’s not only about Schindler himself, but also about the city and its people during the Nazi occupation. Be prepared for long lines throughout the day – it’s a very popular attraction. Highly recommended.

Among the most beautiful places and gardens one could ever visit in Poland—a land of beauty, nature, and greenery flourishing everywhere, with parks adorned to the highest standards of artistry and tranquility—you will find yourself wandering amidst those trees and forests until, at last, you feel all your weariness melt away, leaving you utterly rejuvenated. Therefore, anyone who visits Krakow must not miss this magnificent, life-filled garden that truly brims with vitality.

Simply must see for everyone visiting Kraków. Also perfect place for running, skating, roller skiing, cycling and waking with your dog or just jogging. Plenty of places around to have a coffee or a lunch.

Running, working out and just sitting around! Those are 3 main activities I do in here almost every day! Sunny days are very pleasant while you’re sitting under the old trees on the comfortable bench! Just imagine this whole space was filled out almost completely with the people! Can you imagine? Me neither! Wide asphalted road surface is best when you are trying to gain some speed, preferably on the wheels!

Modern European restaurant
Restaurant
Qrudo Food & Wine is an elegant restaurant located in the Kazimierz district of Krakow, Poland. The modern and stylish design, complete with an open kitchen and wine shelves, creates a relaxing and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant offers a wide variety of fine wines and spirits to complement its modern European cuisine. Guests have praised the delicious food, particularly highlighting the spectacular tartare and the masterpiece cheesecake for dessert.
The dining experience was nice. The Tatar was the standout, and the shredded lamb in a buttery bun was also great. Service was top-notch, and the wine selection big. The pasta with truffles was a bit underwhelming, with a subtle truffle flavor. It’s pricier than other places, but it is worth to try.

Just had dinner here and the appetizer, main and dessert was absolutely amazing. Even the cocktails were great. I also had a greats server/bartender who made some excellent recommendations! I will definitely be back when I return to Krakow! Also the pulled lamb was one of the best sandwiches that I’ve ever had!!

We had a fantastic meal here and it was the best of all the places we had dinner at in Krakow. The dishes are elaborate with great taste combinations. The presentation of the dishes is beautiful. My favourite was the goose confit leg. The service is very good.

Amazing food, so tasty and the staff were extremely attentive. Best food and service we've had in a long time. Very reasonably priced for the quality and presented beautifully

The place has a great atmosphere and the Service top tier. This place is definitely shooting for that upmarket vibe. The food is definitely more about taste than portion size if you know what I mean 😂. In short, I wouldn’t say it was “Bang for Buck”. Suitable for a date maybe even an upscale dinner with friends. Wouldn’t recommend it for a family with kids. Parking available on the street but you probably be struggling Friday and Saturday. There’s a step at the entrance so I’m not sure about wheelchair access. It’s not on the top of my list, but I’ll come back again.

Restaurant
Ed Red, located at Slawkowska 3, has recently reopened in February 2024 after transforming into a craft canned goods production during the pandemic. The restaurant is known for its amazing dry-aged Polish beef and offers a variety of interesting seasonal dishes based on Polish products. In addition to steaks, they also serve veal offal appetizers that are highly recommended.
Lucky to visit on a quiet evening. The service is impeccable, the food cooked to perfection, and the vibe of the restaurant is warm and welcoming. Great value for money, attention to the detail... can't find a single flaw to describe. Congratulation to all the staff!

Steak house in the heart of Kazimierz. Went there during Restaurant Week for the first time and really enjoyed it. We were sitting just near the kitchen and could observe our food preparation which was quite fun. Lamb was very soft and tasty. Honey cake could have been softer though. Service was really good and attentive. Overall, very pleasant experience and definitely would come back to check something from the regular menu.

Ed Red is back (♥️!!!) on Kraków’s Main Square — now inside the beautiful Pałac pod Baranami, one of the city’s most historic buildings. The new space feels both modern and full of character: an open kitchen glowing in blue light, a cozy green bar with vintage lamps, and a stunning chandelier room that keeps the old charm alive. The food is excellent — the Matjes herring was perfectly balanced, the handmade sausages full of flavor, and the seasonal veggies with garlic butter just right. Simple, honest dishes made with skill. If you liked the old Ed Red, you’ll love this one. Same soul, just more refined — and now in one of Kraków’s most iconic spots. Perfect for dinner with friends or a relaxed evening in the very heart of the city.

If you want to taste amazing Polish food – this is the place! They have the best Black pudding (kaszanka) I’ve ever had in my life! I haven’t tried everything yet, but everything I did try was absolutely delicious. That was the best experience I had in Krakow. Amazing food! Everything was tasty, and full of flavor. The dishes were not only delicious but also very interesting — full of unique ideas and great presentation. The atmosphere inside was warm and cozy, with a beautiful design that made me feel relaxed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always smiling and making sure everything was perfect. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

Very interesting offers coming up from time to time. We have been on the chicken BBQ evening with degustation menu and steak Tuesday offer. Both times the service was excellent, the atmosphere is very quiet and private which is good. You can have the overview of the kitchen and all the works they do over there. The food both times was very good. I also can recommend deserts even though it is a steak house.

Meat dish restaurant
Restauracja Golonkarnia is a cozy spot that offers traditional Polish food, making it a must-visit for tourists seeking an authentic culinary experience. The restaurant's signature dish is the roast pork knuckle, which is known for its fantastic taste and tender meat with crispy crackling, cooked in a wood oven. Portion sizes are generous, with many diners finding themselves with leftovers even after hearty meals. The menu also features other delicious options like ribs and potato pancakes.
I was accidentally recommended this Polish restaurant specializing in pork knuckles by a colleague, and it is definitely a meat lover's paradise! “Golonkarnia” offers about 6-7 different flavors of braised or roasted pork knuckle in traditional way. Huge portion and so delicious! There are not many seats but it’s very popular, so reservation is necessary. I will definitely return there!
Chao L — Google review
Delicious pork knuckle, cooked to perfection with lightest crispiest crackling, so huge it's more than enough for 2 people to share, highly recommended.
Fun S — Google review
I had an early dinner here recently and was overall not entirely convinced. The food itself was solid and hearty - I went for the goulash and quite enjoyed it - but the service was inattentive and the atmosphere also not very compelling. When I arrived, it took a while for the waitress to notice me. The dish I ordered came in a different version from how it was on the menu: the goulash was accompanied by relatively plain and forgettable bread instead of the dumplings that were on the menu and would have definitely been much nicer and better. I remember the waitress might have asked about this but I understood her question as whether I want some bread in the first place, rather than bread as a replacement or the dumplings. When I wanted to pay, the waitress was absent and when I went to the front part of the restaurant to find her, she was just sitting on her phone in a corner where the patrons couldn’t see her (there was a guy next to my table who she had not seen coming in and was ignored for a long time). While the food was wholesome and solid, the experience doesn’t deserve more than 3 stars, so I’m going for that overall.

I came for the Golanka and I was not disappointed. If you have a big appetite then this goliath of a meal is for you. Or 2 normal people would be easily able to share this.

We had the massive sized Pork Knuckle. It was delicious!! The pork knuckle is massive! It is the largest pork knuckle that I have ever seen. It’s definitely a meal for 2 or 3 people. Under that crispy crust is the most tender pork. It is amazing! The restaurant atmosphere the perfect venue for meal as well.

Really good food! The pork knuckle and ribs were both super tasty and tender. You can see they have things well-prepped, everything comes out fast. Cozy place, friendly staff — felt nice to be there.

We had just flown into Krakow and took a long walk to stretch our legs. We literally stumbled across this fantastic restaurant and were drawn by the “simple and unassuming” entrance. We just had a feeling this place might be good. WOW!!! Did we ever hit the jackpot with this place. Really, I’ve eaten in restaurants around the world, and this little gem is easily in my top 7 or 8! The menu is filled with delicious home cooked options (the goulash and Bavarian Pig knuckle were amazing) and the beer was so cold and satisfying. Great service, cheap prices, and fun atmosphere. I’m telling you, you will not regret eating here!!!

Absolutely fantastic food at a fair price, I had the pork knuckle in a polish stew. This would likely be my death row meal if the opportunity arose. My only negative comment would be that the women serving could maybe crack a smile, she is very miserable.

For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Kraków Zoo. Kraków Zoo is a compact yet diverse zoo located in the middle of the expansive 500-hectare Las Wolski forest, just ten kilometers west of Kraków's Old Town. The zoo houses over 1400 exotic animals, including 270 different species such as Rothschild's giraffe, pygmy hippo, little panda, snow leopard, Amur tiger, chimpanzee, Indian elephant and Humboldt penguin.
I was very surprised to find how clean this zoo, in and outside of the cages. Layout of the zoo is well planned and engineered. Be prepared to spend the whole day here if you spend more than 5 minutes at each cage. A good flow to the pathways, buildings have nice entrances. Overall an amazing zoo fun for the whole family with lots of food and entertainment options.
Nicholas M — Google review
Amazing zoo with a wide variety of animals all in very impressive enclosures. Only problem is there was no phone reception so we couldn’t book a taxi back. We had to wait for the bus and the person on reception wasn’t very helpful !
Maddy S — Google review
A small but very beautiful and clean zoo. The price of admission was fine, there were plenty of animals and they were all beautiful to see. The passage through the entire zoo takes about an hour and a half. It's just a pity that the parking lot is about a 15-minute walk from the entrance to the zoo and from the parking lot you go uphill along a forest path. It's nothing difficult, but take it into account.
Zdeněk Z — Google review
Incredibly clean zoo up in the forestry part of Krakow. We highly recommend you visit if you are in the area. The enclosures could be bigger, and it does seem to be that some animals are bored which is evident from their pacing back and forth but this is a common problem in most zoos. It would be good if there were signs in multiple languages but the layout is pretty straightforward and the pathways are easy to follow. We spent about 3 hours here and felt like it was well worth it.
Mustapha R — Google review
Lovely zoo in a beautiful location. Lots of interesting animals in clean enclosures. Great selection of birds and fowl. Lots of big ticket animals too, lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes & much more. Everyone we met on site was friendly and welcoming. Lots of the team speak excellent English, so when our broken Polish let us down the team just switched to perfect English. The park is very clean, tidy and well cared for. Parking on site is limited but just down the hill is a big parking area and a regular bus to go to and from the zoo. I very much recommend a visit to the zoo.
Mark T — Google review
The location offers a pleasant environment and a diverse range of animal species. The facility is well-organized and easily accessible. There are numerous outdoor trails available, which we were unable to fully explore due to time constraints.

We had a evening flight so decided to visit the zoo after checking out of our apartment. We stored our luggage at the train station and got a taxi to the zoo. I love how the zoo is set in a forest area, it was lovely and quiet and a great place to relax. We was only there for around 2 hours as we had seen everything after that time but for £8 you can't moan. We saw some animals which I don't see in other zoos and it was a great way to spend some time before an evening flight before heading to the airport.

Henryk Jordan Park in Krakow is a beautiful, spacious, and peaceful place. Perfect for a relaxing walk or a moment away from the city. The park is filled with greenery, winding paths, and plenty of benches, making it ideal for families, friends and solo visitors. One of the highlights is the impressive collection of statues. Each statue represents famous historical figures, athletes, or symbolic characters, celebrating Polish culture, sports, and education. My personal favorite was the statue of Wojtek the Bear, a playful and unique tribute that really stands out. Whether you want to enjoy a peaceful stroll, admire art, take photos, or do people-watching, Henryk Jordan Park is a must-visit spot in Krakow!

This park is Kraków’s green paradise! It’s so big, you could get lost in it — and honestly, that’s part of the charm. Whether you’re jogging, picnicking, cloud-watching, or just pretending to be in a nature documentary, this place delivers. The trees are majestic, the paths are peaceful, and the squirrels seem suspiciously photogenic. It’s the perfect spot to escape the city buzz without actually leaving the city. 10/10 would recommend for chill vibes and spontaneous philosophical thoughts.. Enjoy!

Huge park in center of Krakow, it's a must visit place in summer. There are plenty of trees around for shades, many making swings. Swimming pool for kids is there with adults accompanying them. It's definitely crowded on summer weekends. You can change clothes here and mobile toilet isn't that good. It has statues of all prominent personalities of Poland with citation, so there is bit of history. It has Football, Volleyball, Basket ball, tennis courts for adults (but court is mostly occupied) . So it's a one place stop for all. It's definitely a nice place for big team outings, get togethers.
Karthik — Google review
I came to this park for one reason, and one reason only. To share a cigarette with Wojtek the bear. The experience was brilliant. Came in, visited the bear, climbed up, gave him a bear hug, lit a cigarette with him, and left the park. That experience alone makes it a 5. Must visit.
William T — Google review
This is such a beautiful park. It falls a bit outside of the normal tourist route, but it is such a nice place to come and unwind. The park was created by a polish doctor who had just returned from New York and wanted to emulate the health benefits of Central Park in what he saw as a similar type of urban expansion in Krakow at the time. There is a really nice café in the park and plenty of green spaces to spread a blanket and chill on a sunny day. Just watch out for the dog poo as not all owners are conscientious enough to clean after their pets.

Kościuszko Mound is an artificial hill constructed in 1820 to honor Tadeusz Kosciuszko, a revered military figure in Poland's history. The mound also serves as the final resting place for Kosciuszko. From its summit, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Krakow and the stunning Beskid Zywiecki mountain range. This site has become popular among couples for wedding photoshoots due to its romantic ambiance and picturesque backdrop.
An interesting way to spend a couple of hours. If you're a tourist, it should be on your checklist. If you're a Krakow native you've probably been here a couple of times. It's a Kosciuszko museum that opens up onto the mound from which there are amazing vistas onto the city. It's easily accessible by public transport. Definitely recommend.

Good view of Krakow from the top. Nice walk from the city centre along the riverside through a park then the mound. About 40 minutes. The entrance is the same as the museum. Reasonable price.

One of the most interesting places to visit in Krakow. Paying the fee allows you to visit an exhibition dedicated to the Polish national hero and the access to the picturesque hill (see the pictures below). Just hanging out within the museum complex (for free) is already worth the trip: the fortress looks amazing, there's a cafe with a view over the city, the forest around and the air are clean.
Volodymyr T — Google review
The visit to the Kościuszko Mound was a fantastic experience. The view from the top of Krakow and its surroundings is truly impressive, and the rich history of this place gives it a unique atmosphere. I definitely recommend visiting it to anyone interested in history, nature, or beautiful views.

This was a truly lovely experience, definitely worth 5 stars! While I wouldn't call it an absolute 'must-visit' if you are on a very tight schedule, I highly recommend it if you have an afternoon. We took the tram to the end of the line and enjoyed the pleasant, scenic walk up to the hill. The real reward is the view from the top—it’s a stunning 360-degree panorama of the entire city of Krakow and the beautiful surrounding landscape. To get to the viewpoint, you must pass through an exhibition (which is included in the ticket). There’s also a very cozy panorama café. We walked up, but taking the bus back down was very convenient. A fantastic, relaxing activity.

A great place to visit if you are in the Kraków area. The museum was very well presented and describes the life and experiences of Tadeusz Kościuszko. All displays are in Polish and English languages. The mound itself offers a fantastic view of the whole Kraków skyline. The ticket prices were very reasonable. Parking is free and close to the entrance.

Great views of Krakow panorama, nice cafe and walking areas (if nice weather). Today was rainy, windy, cold, and cloudy, hence almost empty. The edge of the path leading to the top is quite steep, so one must take extra care not to trip over the brook stones, as a fall could be very painful.

Veganic Restaurant is a modern vegetarian cuisine restaurant located in the trendy post-industrial Dolne Mlyny area of Krakow. It has moved from Tytano Complex to 34 Karmelicka Street, near the main square. Fabulous vegan food! We got some kluski that tasted really good. The staff is lovely and the whole place has a cosy vibe. Even if you eat meat you will love it and discover some warming tastes. Their homemade lemonades are really good as well with a good sugar-sour balance.

Popped in here as I'd just arrived in Krakow and it was near my apartment. I've often found vegan places can really impress, and focus on flavours in ways that other restaurants don't. However, I found this place to not really be that sort of vegan restaurant. It more reminded me of fast food vegan items, just a lot of oil flavour from deep frying and not much else in terms of seasonings. It was fine for a bit of sustenance that night, and the building and decor was nice, with the staff pleasant enough, but given their setting, they really could step up the flavours of the food offerings in my opinion

Modern European restaurant
Located in a palace complex near Krakow's Market Square and Wawel, Biała Róża brings a modern twist to the culinary traditions of the city. Chef Lukasz Tychy draws inspiration from old Malopolska cuisine, intertwining motives from four countries. Despite some service imperfections, the restaurant offers delicious food made with high-quality local ingredients and based on old recipe books. The vintage and classy ambiance, complete with a pianist, adds to the dining experience.
We choose this restaurant spontaneously after getting off a coach tour going to Auschwitz as it was the first restaurant we seen. We were so glad, it was this restaurant we seen in the end. Although we were not quite dressed to match the upmarket nature of the establishment, the service by the waiting team was impeccable and without fault for the entire evening. The atmosphere was chilled and calm and the decor was very tasteful with a lovely fireplace in the background. It was not overly busy although there was a large group also in at the same time. The food was second to none, and came with a palette cleanser which my wife adored. Service was quick and efficient and. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The drinks were very nice and everything was presented so expertly. We had no faults with any of our dishes and the star of the evening was definitely the desserts (although I maybe biased with a slight sweet tooth) I choose the tasting menu for desserts and was thoroughly impressed. For the service, and quality of the food the price was also reasonable being under 600z for us both. We would most definitely recommend this restaurant without hesitation and it was in terms of food the highlight of our trip and made a very special 10th Wedding Anniversary meal very memorable and we cannot wait to return again.

Cosy contemporary polish restaurant. Despite the large interior, the sound buffering was sufficient for a quiet conversation. Service was excellent. The waiter specifically opened a bottle of wine for us to have a couple of glasses despite. The food came pretty fast. The dishes itself was just slightly above average (as we compared to the quality of other neighbouring restaurants). The cod starter was too salty, the beef tenderloin had parts that were hard and dry. The waffles that came with the pork was not complementary to the main. The tomato soup with basil ice cream was tastefully done though. Paid 300z for 5 dishes and 2 glasses of wine which was slightly above the average polish meal.

What an astounding meal we had. Service was attentive and helpful with a very knowledgeable waiter. Every dish we had was a taste sensation, from starters of marinated cod and beetroot with fried goats cheese, mains of saffron seafood risotto and wild boar ravioli to the tasting trio of amazing desserts. Great coffee, too. Wonderful and well worth the price.

Myself and my wife dined at your restaurant on the evening of the 8th May (Tuesday), it was an unplanned dining experience after a long tour of Auschwitz that day, and we were lucky that yours was the first restaurant we seen on departing the tour coach when back in Krakow. As a young couple, we are not accustomed to dining out at such a superb and luxurious restaurant but we were blown away by the service we received, which was exemplary and not biased in anyway considering we were not exactly dressed for such a high class venue. Everything we experienced that night was beyond our wildest expectations, we were blown away by the service we received, and the food was outstanding and certainly the very best we have had in many years, in fact for as far back as we can remember in a restaurant. Although some dishes, we’re not quite to our taste, this was a palate issue for ourselves rather than anything to do with the food or the cooking. And we certainly were quite adventurous compared to our usual dining habits. And the deserts were out of this world. I had the tasting menu, and I was so glad I went for this particular menu item, as I could not get enough of the dishes served. The price was very reasonable considering the high level of service and food quality received. We will most certainly be back next time we visit Krakow and we cannot recommend this restaurant enough. You won’t be disappointed.

We organised our wedding reception at this restaurant and it was absolutely fantastic! From the stress-free planning and smooth communication with Mateusz to the big day itself, everything went better than we could have imagined. The venue is in a very convenient location, and the room was decorated beautifully — simple, elegant, and understated. Everything was amazing from start to finish. Mateusz was clear, professional, and so easy to work with — every request we had was taken care of with no fuss. The staff were attentive and friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was simply phenomenal. We honestly cannot thank the team enough for helping us create such unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

Inventive modern Polish cuisine in Kraków — stunning plates, bold yet balanced flavors, and deep respect for local tradition. This was one of the most memorable meals of our trip. Every dish was beautifully presented and thoughtfully composed, blending Polish ingredients with contemporary technique. Here's the full experience, plate by plate: This spot is a gem for anyone interested in modern Polish cuisine. It captures the essence of traditional ingredients but reinterprets them in playful, elegant ways. Service was warm, the space was calm and inviting, and the food was memorable from the first bite to the last. A must-visit in Kraków. --- 🥖 House Bread + Amuse-Bouche ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - We were welcomed with two kinds of bread - a soft seeded white and a fruit-and-nut beet slice - served with bright green oil and a pink beet whipped butter - Alongside that, a small tartlet filled with a creamy herbed herring salad - mild, delicate, and surprisingly fresh - A lovely, thoughtful start to the meal. --- 🥟 Spinach Dumplings with carrots, snap peas and coconut milk ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - Comforting and elevated - The green dumplings were soft and luscious, think gnocchi - Toasted buckwheat on top added a nutty crunch - A modern take on rustic flavors, and one of the highlights. 🐟 Wild Halibut with Beurre Blanc, Pickled Cauliflower & Squid ink Orzo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Beautifully seared halibut with crisp skin, served over tender orzo - Pickled pink cauliflower added brightness and crunch - I loved the passion fruit puree really tied it all together --- 🍃 Basil Cream Dessert with Sour Apple Sorbet - Fresh, airy, and surprising - The basil cream was smooth and herbal, piped over a delicate sponge cake. - Paired with sour apple sorbet, strawberries, apple slices, and puffed grains for crunch - The result was vibrant, not too sweet, and totally refreshing - like spring on a plate.

Biedronka

Biedronka is a popular grocery store known for its modern and clean environment, offering a wide selection of items at affordable prices. It is often less crowded than other stores and provides ample parking. The store carries everything from produce to baking goods, as well as sim cards and various essentials. Additionally, larger stores like Auchan, Kaufland, and Carrefour offer even cheaper prices and a wider range of products for packed lunches or quick snacks.
Definitely one of the best shopping places for groceries. The staff is helpful also because all the self check out cashiers are in Polish so I needed some help.
Yavuz E — Google review
The store has plenty of space, but it's very dirty and messy. There are a lot of products blocking the aisles, making it hard to walk through. The worst part is that there are always ants and fruit flies on the baked goods. Also, the parking is very small and extremely inconvenient. I do not recommend this place.
LyaLya K — Google review
The shop is small and full of people, but it is the only one in close area. Long opening hours is good. Shop is clean and well supplied. Parking place is small, but you can find a space.
Michal Z — Google review
Too small and mostly only one cashier at a time even there is a big queue

Biedronka is a very popular general store, it has a fresh bakery isle, lots of fruits, vegan and vegetarian options. Recently underwent construction and is now open and in full swing. Tends to be quite crowded at most times and as of right now, masks are mandatory in store. (2022 march update: not anymore) It is quite difficult to get biedronka membership cards but even without them there are always substantial offers in place. Good place to shop, would recommend. Although these days they seem to be running low on supplies of goods thanks to the unexpected influx of student costumers as the neighboring stores have shut down.
