Superb place for all ski jumping fans out there even if there is summer, there is lot's of small shops around and for around 5-6€ you can take ski lift to the top of ski jumping start and see how it's looks like from ski jumper perspective.

I've never seen a ski jump like this from above, it was interesting, but it's only a short visit. You can take the cable car up there!

Beautiful place to go up even if you are not a skier. There is not much to do on the top if the ski jumping hill is closed. But on a snowy day the views are really nice. It takes 15mins to go up and down for roughly 5 euros! Fun

A huge slide! So much fun walking up but a bit tiring. Great view from the top and observatory. The cable car didn’t work during my visit. Options to slide down for adrenaline junkies! :-D Cash machine outside of the building. Plenty of small shops and food stands outside the attraction. Paid parking is also available.

Be careful: We witnessed mice eating their newborn babies. The spectacle is not for children! Advantages: Cheap attraction for the whole family. Amazing decorations and cute mice. Disadvantages: Toilets were dirty. The museum is very small.

The place was quite unique and definitely something you don’t see every day. It was very cool to explore and watch, and the concept itself is impressive. However, the experience is rather short — you can see everything in about 30 minutes. For that amount of time, it felt quite expensive. Overall: A fascinating and unusual attraction that’s worth seeing once, but be aware it’s a brief visit for the price.

A very charming and unique little attraction! 🐭✨ The idea of creating small themed worlds for the mice and degus is absolutely adorable — from mountain villages to fairy-tale forests, each setup looks like a miniature wonderland. Watching the mice explore, climb, and interact with their surroundings was truly heartwarming and fun to see up close. The ticket price was 28 PLN, which feels a bit high considering how short the visit is. The displays are creative and detailed, but some areas could definitely use better maintenance — a few enclosures didn’t smell great and looked like they could be cleaner. I also noticed that some parts of the setups (like high poles or steep slopes) could be unsafe for the tiny animals. Overall, it’s a very memorable experience, especially for animal lovers or families with kids. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and animal safety, this place could easily become a must-visit gem in Zakopane. ❤️

Awful conditions for the mice. The smell was unbearable and if it was like that for me, I can't imagine how bad it must be inside the cages. Poo everywhere. Unacceptable. There were way too many mice to a cage, especially one tiny one where all the mice were piled on top of each other. There was 1 wheel per cage, which is not enough for so many mice. I saw 3 mice trying to crawl in at the same time. The wheels were also too small I think and will cause back problems for the mice. Even disregarding the blatant animal welfare issues, as a customer, the experience was awful due to the smell. This place should be shut down.

We just visited this place while waiting for our train. You can pay by card, 28 zl per ticket is quite expensive for small area. However, they have very nice decorations and very cute mice. Friendly lady, clean toilets.

Attraction is in basement, many different windows with different setting. It was cute to watch the mouses in different environments. Conditions was quite good, not dirty, just a bit of a smell from beginning. The only problem was cashier. We didn't have a problem the payments was possible only by cash, but she wanted exact amount of cash because she didn't have any change. We have to leave and buy something in order to have some change exactly as she wanted. Not very welcoming.

Very nice place, we really enjoyed. My daughter which is 3 years old didn't want to leave Zakopane without visiting Myszogrod for the second time. So we have to turn around and visit it.

The restaurant was very atmospheric and had the option of parking behind the building. The decor was charming and with traditional live music it created an atmosphere. Unfortunately, the staff did not take the initiative and did not try to improve the service of guests or customers waiting for a table. The meals were very tasty and nicely served. Zakopane has a large gastronomic base so next time I will visit another restaurant.

To those travellers who would like to experience polish, you SHOULD AVOID this restaurant. It would disappoint you for sure. If you can’t go there earlier enough to get an indoor seat, just DONT choose this restaurant!!! We waited in a long queue and no body noticed us cause of course the waiters are busy! Until they showed us the outdoor seat it were already 10minute wait. Sitting outside meant you would get MANY second hand smoke. What does it mean? The indoor customers finished their food and got plenty of time coming out smoking in front of you! I felt so annoyed, I never smoke and I had asthma!!! The restaurant won’t limit diner time, and those sitting inside would just occupy their table forever. The outside people left like 3 tables gone but none from inside gone. And we waited for 30 mins for our cheese cake to come because they don’t bother to serve outside customer. No one care about you. The food were not worth 4.9 points for SURE. The outside environment was freezing and they served all plates at once. All of them would get cold in 5mins before you are able to finish.

Bąkowa Zohylina Niźnio is one of the best places in Zakopane to experience traditional highlander cuisine. Beautifully located just off the lower part of Krupówki, the restaurant sits in a charming wooden building with cozy interiors and staff dressed in regional outfits — creating a warm and authentic atmosphere. The menu is extensive and full of regional specialties. A word of advice: portions are huge, so it’s best to order modestly at first — everything we tried could easily feed two people. We visited twice because the first experience left such a strong impression. During our first visit, we had kwaśnica served in a small cauldron over a candle (a great touch), kaszanka with sautéed cabbage, and roasted mutton with mint sauce plus extra roasted potatoes and a bryndza cheese salad — all fresh, flavorful, and served in enormous portions. The zsiadłe mleko was a great local drink and also helped with digestion. On our second visit, we tried grule (potatoes with pork cracklings) and a rich, intensely garlicky soup with croutons and a generous helping of cheese — one of the best garlic soups we've had. The service was quick and professional despite how busy it was. It’s a very popular spot, so expect a wait during peak hours — but it’s absolutely worth it. This restaurant is a true culinary highlight of Zakopane.

Dined here 2 nights straight because the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Restaurant has live musicians and cozy atmosphere. On the first night, we had to wait for almost 30 mins to get a table even though we were the 2nd couple in the queue. The staff did not come out to physically acknowledge you are waiting until there is a table cleared and available. But there is a clear sign for guests to wait. We were seated next to the toilet, not exactly nice but okay since it is a popular place. Garlic soup, mukled wine, grilled salmon and chicken cutlet (they called it grilled) were excellent. On the second night, we went earlier at just after 5pm. We got a table immediately and unfortunately, next to the toilet again with rather busy traffic. Ribs was excellent. It is not melt in your mouth kind. Lightly seasoned with no sauces. Pork cutlet with cheese was fine if rather heavy.

Really tasty food and quick service. Only downsides was that we got a table right beside the band, so it was basically impossible to talk and enjoy the atmosphere. Nonetheless a very nice place

Incredible food, good atmosphere, and friendly and efficient staff. Cozy look and traditional food. We waited over an hour for a table and it was absolutely worth it. It was comfortable indoors but I appreciated that it wasn't kept too hot inside even after coming in from the chilly outdoors. We were a small group, but there were large groups having a great time around us, and the vibe is very welcoming and celebratory. Might be a must-visit in Zakopane, I definitely would want to come back here on a return visit.

Great views. We hiked. 3 h up. Took cable car back down 30 euros, very expensive. To expensive for a Eastern Europe country. Makes no sense its more expensive than the ones in North America…. But it is what it is. No parking close must get private parking. Lots of people. Great views at the top Only. Worth it for hiker not so much for non hikers, your kind of just gonna wait in a super long line to get on top of a mountain then you have 1,40 min max on top before waiting in line again and going back down. Cool hike for hikers. Not super difficult

Waited in line to get a ticked for about 1,5h, eventually decided to hike instead of waiting. Great hike (northern route along the left side of the river) fairly easy if trained well maintained path except for all the garbage :( after the ascend we wanted to take the cable car but we were told that again we needed to wait a long time with the possibility of being stranded. Eventually I decided to do the descent by foot what ended up in a beautiful scenic hike into sundown!

Amazing place! We took the cable car and bought our tickets earlier that morning. When we arrived, we saw a very long line, so it’s worth checking the website even if you’re already there. Prices change depending on the time of day, so if you want a cheaper option, check the website to see when it’s best to go. We went up the mountain and hiked back down — really beautiful!

Cable car to bring you up to Kasprowy. Spent about $38 USD for round trip. Seems pricey but honestly is so worth it. This will give you access to hike the other peaks nearby. Nice restaurant / cafe at the top although it was really packed so we weren’t able to get a seat and get any food or drinks.

It was amazing. I'd like to hike there next time instead of the cable car. Be careful with the timing and the weather, even though it was sunny, up there was crazy cold and windy. After some time we were completely in the clouds.

The cable car is a bit expensive but still absolutely worth it because of the amazing views down from the mountain. The two main issues: - The stay time at the top seems to be limited to 1:40h and you have a departure time for your return trip given - very strange and uncommon, might be a bit tight depending on the activities planned up there. - The gondolas are crammed full to the limit before they even concider leaving the station. Also it feels like cable cars are completely foreign to them. Having to wait for more than ten minutes in front of closed doors even though the gondola is already in the station wouldn't happen in Switzerland.

Another great spot to visit once in southern Poland. We visited on a weekday, out of summer holidays and there was no line whatsoever. If you get lucky with weather as well, you'll be getting beautiful views. The Ground station is not accessible by cars, cars to be parked in town and shuttle to be taken to the ground station. Area is wheelchair accessible; lifts and ramps are available all the way through. Eating outlets are available around the area as well. Free restrooms are available next to the ticket booth.

Agree with other reviews, that place is truly beautiful and accessible, even though it's around 8km one way to Morske Oko. However, parking is expensive and toilets are not free( except honey buckets) , so make sure to bring some cash. It was a little bit chilly at the top( at the beginning of May), bring some warm clothes with you and grab some snacks.

Mountains have breathtaking views. Cable car was a less than 15 minutes to the top. Definitely worth the time and hike. Dress accordingly and wear proper shoes. Highly recommend visiting on a clear sunny day. Note: they charge for bathrooms, however the bathrooms near the ticket booths are free of charge.

Perfect park, in all seasons with different types of path

Very beautiful place, but if you’re driving, be careful with parking. You can’t drive close to the hiking starting point without a permit (so don’t follow other cars that ignore the signs). The municipal police were very unpleasant to deal with — they weren’t friendly and even made nasty jokes. They wait until you pass enough signs to give you a bigger fine. We ended up paying €100 for this mistake. A really nasty way of making money and adding bitterness to a wonderful vacation day in such a beautiful place.

I recently visited Morskie Oko. It is definitely breathtaking. However, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE HORSE CARRIAGES! The horses are treated poorly and looked very overworked, pulling asses of 10-15 people up and down the hill. It really ruined my hike seeing horses being mistreated in such a cruel way and sent up and down the hill while it’s so hot outside. I saw horses with tongues hanging out of their mouths while carrying the carriage, really horrible. While I saw that they were fed I did not see that they had any water given in this heat. Honestly, it’s 2025, if you want to see the mountains , you need to be prepared to hike for the views. I also saw vehicles for disabled people. So there is no excuse to this cruelty. Last year, a horse collapsed right there while carrying people up the hill. Many have died after few months of being in this service or sent to slaughterhouses. They don’t have a long lifespan due to them being constantly overworked and mistreated. Please do not promote such a horrible treatment towards animals, who definitely deserve better than this.

Watra is worth a stop if you’re looking to try some great local beers—the selection is solid, and it’s a nice spot to sit with a drink. Unfortunately, the service is inattentive and lacks the warmth you’d hope for in a place that attracts both locals and visitors. I’ve visited before and was once served old whipped cream with a dessert, which left a poor impression and makes me reluctant to recommend eating here. On this recent visit, the food offerings didn’t feel particularly inviting, and the focus seemed more on drinks than on maintaining quality in the kitchen. If you’re in the area, I’d say it’s fine for a beer and a casual stop, but I wouldn’t come expecting a full dining experience or attentive service.

Tourist trap in a sense that it is a folksy place, neons inside, etc. Food portions are large but quality of food is average, actually we had 2 folks from the group sick after eating there. Moreover staff is acting like they do not care. They forget what you ordered or bring what you did not order. All in all , not recommended unless you like this folksy style and are ok with taking your chances with food quality.

Having been here later in the evening a few years ago and enjoyed the music, we came early evening for dinner. The Golonka from the grill was probably sitting a while. Lots of very dry bits in it. Mustard and chrzan sauce definitely needed and was good. Skin was tough as leather, very difficult to cut and couldn’t bite through it. The potato pancakes were big but goulash was salty and meat was tough. Pizza for kids was ok for a place that isn’t a pizzeria. Beer was excellent. Portions were big and came surprisingly quickly for such a big place. Quality wasn’t good though. Atmosphere and interior were good and it’s a good place for a big group to drink.

The place was bustling – we went there on Friday evening, so there was karaoke going on in the next room. The soups – żurek and kwaśnica – were rather on the weaker side and at the same time the most expensive in Zakopane. We didn’t finish our beers either, as they weren’t very good.

We were 5 people eating breakfast here.The food was not good and not worth the price,50 PLN per plate.The soup was plain,and the rest was not tasty. They say the food is halal but I really doubt that. Not recommended.

We just stopped by this restaurant for a quick evening snack and beer all i can say is i will never visit here again!!😂😂😂 it just looks good from the outside while in the inside The Food the Service is zero (0) "No taste at all when u compare to the other polish restaurants in zakopane" (We had 14 days stay here and it was our 5th day visiting here!!) Food completely tasteless and undercooked About the Service we had one cocky waiter with beard i don't want to mention his name He was looking like he was frustrated of his life.. and no customer deserves such terrible service we were planning to have a formal dinner here as we wanted to explore this restaurant..but while we were here for this evening snack i would not even imagine going there again!! Please choose some other restaurant over this one if you are planning to visit here It will save your money time and most important you gonna get good hospitabilty from some good waiters in other restaurants

Amazing food and amazing service. I totally felt like at home while being here. Kwaśnica and Oscypki were so delicious, I visited this place for two days in a row. Next time I visit Zakopane, this restaurant will be on my list.

Touristy restaurant in Zakopane. I ate pearl barley porridge with tomato,fennel and onion. In addition they serve a vegetable salad and garlic sauce. The price for it was 21pln, which is not so cheap for the porridge even without meat. Can't say that it was tasty for me, there were a lot of onions... but may be I have chosen a "wrong" porridge and other dishes are better. Salad was ok.

Great place to eat something polish and regional. Really nice menu even vegetarians will find something for them. For cold evenings I recommend hot wine. People serwing dishes are nice and helpfully especially for childrens.

An absolutely wonderful, fine dining experience! The restaurant is cosy and beautifully decorated. The servers were very genuine and friendly. The food was very fresh and prepared with care, accompanied by a good wine list (I recommend the plum wine!). This is also a vegan / vegetarian friendly restaurant. We shared the ‘zestaw wege’ which was enough for two people. Highly recommend! Absolutely amazing sushi, I have tasted sushi all around the world (including Japan). This is world class. Really friendly atmosphere and a relaxing place. Friendly staff!

Definitely OMAKASE is in TOP 3 of sushi places I’ve ever been in. Convenient location in the center of Zakopane, huge selection of all kinds of sushi and not only, cozy atmosphere, friendly waiters and of course sushi chef of the level "God"! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Highly recommend!

The food is very good! You will need to wait for it however, as the waiting time for us at least was around 45 minutes to an hour. If I understood correctly, there’s only one chef and he works slowly and meticulously so the food is worth the wait! Just don’t go there too hungry.

Found this restaurant from a friend's recommendation. If u come in the evenjng or when its dsrk, it might be hard to spot the entrance as we did. And becareful with that low door jamb, watch ur head 😁 The food were okay. The portion and price a bit not proportional but well.... it is what it is. The waiters were very nice and attentive. Not long time to wait for our meals. 1 of waiter that we spot on was funny in highlander's way. The interior was veryyyy interesting.... feel like we were inside the hunter's house back to that time. The Live Music was definitely a plus point! We love it! Hopefully someday we can visit this place again....

I was recommended this place by a polish local and one of our taxi drivers said it was a top 3 restaurant here in Zakopane. It feels like a place where a medieval knight or travel would stop for food and drinks in a cold winter. Amazing atmosphere. We got the sauerkraut soup with ribs, the pork knuckle, chicken breast sautéed in butter, and the steamed vegetables with yogurt sauce. Overall, great food, atmosphere, and service. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because for the price you would expect sides with the main dishes.

This is one of the most atmospheric and pleasant restaurant I've ever been to. The service was incredibly nice and friendly. The food was great as well, I didn't expect that they will bring steak on a literally hot stone, it was really delicious. The atmosphere was lively and cozy both inside and outside of the restaurant. Definitely recommend visiting this place.

This place is a delight! We came here for dinner at the height of the summer holiday season and the restaurant was buzzing with chatter, really unique live music, good natured waiting staff and the smell of great food. This is a really popular spot, so we had a twenty minute wait before we got a seat. The wait was totally worth it. The interiors of the restaurant are like the scene of a film set - it has a real sense of mountain life. The live music quartet added immensely to the atmosphere and the food was delicious. (There are good vegetarian options as well.) They deserve the full five stars!

Polish food served in good portions. We enjoyed it and the atmosphere. The place is nicely designed. The mulled wine was very tasty!

Not sure how to assess this place right now. It lost its vibe. We were here last time 3 years ago and it was way better back then. Nowadays it is overpriced, but the worst thing is quality of the food which is disappointing, we had lamb koftas which were dry, french fries tasted awfully, other dishes were disappointing as well. Portions of the food are small, very small. What is good about the place now is the staff. Other than that, food and waiting time makes this place a NO GO.

We has daily free access included in our accommodation. It was great! Clean, not too crowded, even earlier when families were there. The 2 big slides were amazing, there was ample room in the bubbles outdoors and indoors. The locker system is genius and very easy to use. The views of the mountains are beautiful. Very easy to spend 2 hours here unwinding. The staff were very patient and friendly, despite our terrible Polish!

Very nice aquapark. In the city so quite small. Not a lot of seating inside.

A great way to spend a cold afternoon with our two teenage boys while visiting Zakopane. The outdoor pools we very clean and really warm and nice to relax in and look at the mountains. Good value for a couple of hours and yiu can hire towels too. The slides were good fun for the boys.

The Aqua Park ticket price Happy Hour is very correct coz more than 3h when you don't have childrens you cannot stay coz very boring. The pools inside still cold and outside is just perfect 🥰 The sauna areea is really not intersting , and the smell is not confortable. The parking capacitty is very small, and you need to pay 1zloty for each .

Small space with a lot of activities. Issue is with depth of pools (130cm deap), and only one place for babies. Probably would address issue with packing. Not enough space. In general our family of 4 was happy with unlimited time entry for 68eur

I have been with my 2 kids the 10th of Nov and it is really good. Important tips: 1.- parking is included since 1pln/ hour 2.-I were very early at 9 am for 2,5h. People is complaining that it is very crowded but until 11am it was great. It is true that after it becomes preaty crowded. 3.- with 2,5h it is was more than enough

We visited the Zakopane Water Park in the middle of the week. The day was cloudy, and we arrived around 1 PM. At the ticket counter, there were only two people in front of us, so there was practically no waiting. Inside, there were quite a lot of visitors. Getting into the thermal pools was easy, but to use the massage jets we had to wait until others finished. There was also a separate pool for guests aged 14+, which was a nice option. The outdoor pools had pleasantly warm water, though they were also quite crowded. At the slides, waiting times varied: about 5–10 minutes for the red slide and 10–20 minutes for the green one. Overall, it wasn’t too bad, but definitely noticeable. We didn’t try the food, but I checked the menu – prices seemed reasonable. The only downside is that the water park could be larger to better accommodate the number of visitors.

This hobby restaurant is located halfway down the tourist Street in Zakopane. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the restaurant is decorated in old Polish style. They even have old Polish folk music playing in the background. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the food is good and the portions are big. I made the mistake of ordering the baked potato pancake with mushroom sauce. I didn’t really like it, and I returned it. It was my fault. I misread the menu. The duck pierogi, the beef burger, and the chicken soup were excellent. If we had more time, we would certainly return. I recommend this restaurant.

I visited Karczma Zapiecek in November, and it was absolutely wonderful! The interior is incredible – beautifully decorated with wood, giving it a cozy and authentic atmosphere. The staff were so kind, polite, and made me feel truly welcomed as a guest. The food was amazing — delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Very tasty and atmospheric place in a lovely Zakopane Service could be better but maybe it was just a start of the day so they were still sleeping a bit.

Decided to go here off a recommendation by our tour guide. The restaurant was definitely worth it. The oven roasted trout was great, however it is not deboned, and needed a little more salt. The potato I got was pretty big and came with a creamy rich sour cream. The salad was more of a coleslaw with shredded carrots and some cucumber. The restaurant was worth it, and was great value for myself and my wife.

Food is great, waiting time was okay even when it’s fully booked. Staff were really lovely, food was delicious. Loved it!

Don't forget to plan a visit to this upside down world literally in the city centre. Poland has a few of them and they're super funny. Although walking with snow and ice mess inside was trouble but that's not on them. The ticket price was about 30pln which hasn't been updated online. Overall, a lovely fun place to visit and kids love it. Poland has a few more on the Baltic Coast.

Not much to see but for sure a fun experience to trick your mind upside down specially for kids. Be careful if you are sensitive you could get sick inside 😜

Very special place - but you have nothing to do there more than 10 min. Very expensive (110 zloty for 2+3 family).

Can be visited when walk along that way. Since it's near to centrum no need to spend time for travel separately. Just a different experience.

Dom do gory is an upside down house and it is tilted as well! when a person enters the house, immediately feels deezy, and when climbs the stairs to uper level ( which is the floor), the person feels very very deezy!! Nice illusion park in the centre of Zakopane. It was a rainy day and lots of people inside, but didn't felt crowded. Lots of interesting things to do and places to take lots of pics. Highly recommended. They give you locker and have to place bags there, walkaround without shoes, with socks.

Awesome place to go with the kids. Tickets are quite cheap and time is not limited. There are two floors of illusion displays. We spent two hours in here. Kids loved it. Its not only illusions, its also associated with science. So really recommend, nice place.

It was a great experience overall, with lots of fascinating exhibits and interactive elements. There are plenty of opportunities to take really creative and fun photos, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. We spent around 2 hours exploring everything, which felt just right. One thing to keep in mind: it can get very crowded on rainy days, so if possible, plan your visit accordingly. Overall: A fun and photo‑friendly attraction that’s well worth a visit—just try to go when it’s less busy for the best experience.

Great food with lively folk music musicians playing music however, the service was really slow. The Main courses are very large so enjoy the large servings (at Warsaw prices). The appetisers and other dishes are regular sized.

I had the beer baked pork knuckle and it was straight 🔥, highly recommend, best item on the menu easily! Paid 100 PLN with a tip including the beer. I visited on a weekday around 5pm and it wasn't busy at all. Staff friendly. Nice decor.

This is our favorite meal in Zakopane over 4 days. We got zurek which was really good. It's smoothly sour but complex. We also got a pork knuckle to share which was humongous. Meat is falling-off-the-bone tender and well seasoned. I'd highly recommend. Especially in the heart of a town that feels like wherever you go is another tourist trap, this place is truly worth it.

Visiting a facility with such rate was a challenge however we have been told that they have good food . We had cabbage rolls and lamb dublings which were tasty.

The borscht was disappointing — it tasted more like beet broth than a hearty soup, and it was served with a meat pastry on the side, which felt like a mismatch rather than a complement. The potato pancakes with goulash were decent, though a side of fresh salad would have made the dish feel more balanced and complete. One point of confusion came with the drinks. We asked for draft beer in English but were served bottled beer instead. This might have been a language barrier issue, but it still affected the experience. Overall, there were some okay elements, but the meal didn’t quite meet our expectations.

This is a very nice hotel located in the heart of Zakopone. The staff are very nice and the rooms are kept to a very high standard. They are constantly keeping on top of the cleanliness of the hotel communal areas. It's nice and cosy especially during winter time. It is not cold there at all. The hotel grounds are very nice and the food is also very nice. They also have access to a swimming pool and sauna which is nice if you want to just relax. The hotel is located 10 seconds from the main street shopping and well worth the visit. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel for families and/or couples. We will be back.

Food - price is ok, portions are ok, but overall - not the best experience for me. “Highlanders pancake” is worth a try (if its realy a traditional meal), but one time probably is enough for me. Too salty, strange combination of ingridients, but thats just my personal oponion.

We decided to take a day trip to Zakopane in April and ended up in a snowstorm. After walking around for awhile, we found this restaurant and had a really good lunch. The waitstaff was friendly and the room was warm with a roaring fire. I had the ravioli with ground lamp and mushroom sauce. Very good. My wife had the grilled sausages which she really enjoyed. To warm up she had Mulled beer with spices and raspberry syrup which she loved.

We’ve been here 2 times: on our first and last day of stay. I want to thank a lot, that you were open on the 24th of December. Food was wonderful, atmosphere here is relaxing and cozy!

The food was good and the service was good. Sports bar style decor. You could watch sports on the screen. Not a fancy place, but basic, uncomplicated food. You were allowed to bring your dog inside.

We stopped at Sport Corner for a quick lunch and it was a good choice. Between us we had a cheeseburger, pierogi ruskie, pierogi z bryndza and a salami pizza. All were well cooked and arrived quickly. The service was efficient, if a little brusque, but everything ran smoothly. It’s an interesting sport-themed bar and restaurant with plenty to look at while you eat. A solid, fuss-free option for a casual meal in the city centre.

Super convenient for my group and I to stop in, grab a few drinks & some light bites! The rosół was fabulous & the pierogi with seasonal fruit (apples & cranberries) were so delightful. Servers were kind, service was quick & the ambience outdoors right in the heart of Krupowki was lovely.

Stopped here for a drink, then decided to order some food. Not a lot of atmosphere, although it was a Monday night. Had the chicken in spinach sauce, which came with rice and vegetables. The food was nice, but there wasn't much of it. Vegetables were probably factory prepared and from a frozen bag. Left feeling hungry. Wasn't clear whether this place had table service, or whether you were expected to order at the bar. People seemed to be doing both.

Great ski slope for more than beginners. They did have a small slope for beginners but wasn't very big and full of children. Would say you need to be comfortable turning to make the most of this slope. The views are incredible even if you aren't skiing and you can walk into the larger ski lift and enjoy the mountain views.

Probably should have done my research first, two ski lifts two runs, the lifts are quick and need to be. The lift on the left trashed you to a restaurant at the top of the highest run, lovely view of the mountains from here. The longer of the two runs is over in about 5 minutes allowing time for ski schools left to right. That's it, the lifts do not connect to any other areas. Each area has a few runs then you have to taxi to somewhere new.

Slopes in good conditions even though the weather is warm. The view on the top is great! Minus is that it is absolutely over crowded - very sad that lifts were going up half seated!!! Further extended the time spent in line...

The slopes themselves were both good. An easier one and a more challenging one. However, they ran the snow making machines the entire day! It made too much snow actually and people were falling often because it was too deep at the steepest part. Made no sense to us because it was also snowing. It was unpleasant to have to ski through blowing snow so much of the day. That said, the staff was incredibly attentive and efficient. And the restaurant at the top is excellent and affordable.

The ski resort is fine for beginners, but there are some significant drawbacks. The biggest issue is the long waiting times at the lifts – with only two lifts available, you often end up waiting 10 to 15 minutes, which is something we’re no longer accustomed to after skiing in the Alps. At the top of the mountain, there’s a good selection of restaurants and snack bars, offering both smaller and more substantial meals. However, overall, we found the resort too small and lacking in variety. A major downside is the traffic chaos caused by nearly everyone arriving by car. A more consistent implementation of ski buses could greatly alleviate the situation.

A well-maintained ski slope with parking available alongside the road for free, or city parking lot right across the street. Mornings offer the best conditions before it gets bumpy, and lift lines start forming around noon. Arrive early for a smoother ride and a more enjoyable experience! :) 4/5

Great place for beginners and to learn how to ski, although the snow was not very good because of the weather - it was +3 There are instructors available for 200 zl per hour per child + 80 zl for an adult if you are together with a child - you can find English speaking ones, or Russian/Ukrainian speaking ones, too, just ask about it when paying at the ticket office. You don't need to have a pass if you're with instructor. Be aware that they also don't mix very small children with older ones, so if you have, for example, a 3 year old and a 10 year old, you need 2 instructors, but 13 and 17 can have 1 instructor for both. Makes sense, I think, as they need different approach :) They also work with adults, obviously. Very friendly and supportive! There's a children's zone available (entrance only with instructors), and two hills. One is smaller, although a bit short and steep, and the other is enormous for those who already know how to ski lol The view of Tatras is amazing! One of the best things about this ski resort. You will also see sunset well, so that's a plus in the dark Poland when the sun sets at 3 pm There's a food place at the base of the hill with decent food and restroom, and you can rent everything you need at any of the places nearby. Highly recommend the J&J one across the road - 200 zl for equipment for a family of 4 for 3 hours with great service! Parking available for free with lots of free places, but it may get busy at the very peak times and on the weekends, as always Update: the red slope is not as hard as it looks like in good conditions, apart from one part it's about as steep as the blue slope. However, I agree with other reviews about the conditions on the slope - at 12 pm there were already numerous (!) ice parts, the snow was not even remotely even with crazy amount of snow bumps, and since it's artificial, it wasn't perfect to begin with. So a fairly easy slope became a quite hard one. A lot of people fell on the steepest part. If you want to try yourself, you should definitely know how to parallel ski first, be fresh and full of energy, and only go at the very early morning, 9-11 am. Sadly that seems to be the fate of big enough ski resorts, so just something to be aware of. But all in all it's not crazy hard - it barely made it to the red marking, one grade down (it's 21% average and the red starts at 20%) and it would be a blue. Again, in good conditions! That's what's tricky about it.

We arrived st the restaurant and we noticed that is it quite popular. Lots of people inside already. The chef is grilling meat right at the entrance so you can have a look. Very few restaurants are like that. The waitress told us to chose whatever table we wanted. The atmosphere of the restaurant feels like a chalet, all in wood. The ribs and the chicken salad was good. If you order a main dish you should order a side dish since the main dish is not a combo but just the main meat. I took fries and cabbages. Price is decent too. The service was good and recommend to try.

Agree with the other reviews here that the potato pancakes were pretty average - drenched in too much oil and not freshly made (you can see a whole stack sitting there, already heated, probably from the morning) so didn’t have the right texture. However, they were only 6 PLN so can’t complain too much 🤷🏻‍♀️

Good was lovely. Great display in the window to draw people in. Good selection of local brew. Try and sit outside by the river if you can, view is great. Service was quite poor. The waiter was slow and did not really want to be there looking after us at all. Only reason for not giving 5 stars.

This was my first visit to Czarny Staw, I was extremely impressed with the food - it was amazing and priced reasonably. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant with traditional music playing in the background. We were treated with a live band half way through our meal who were pretty awesome. Staff were extremely friendly! Highly worth a visit!

Very delicious potato pancakes, I had them with mushroom sauce. Zur was also quite good. And they had a great selection of beer and vodka too, I had bimber vodka (moonshine style) and a honey one. Would definitely recommend, I can't imagine why this restaurant isn't rated a strong 4.

honestly one of the best places i tried in zakopane. the vibes were really nice and traditional, the decoration and the whole atmosphere felt warm and local. we ordered soup and some traditional polish food, everything tasted really good and fresh what made the experience even better was gabriela, she was super kind and welcoming. she came from time to time to ask if we needed anything, and she explained the food and what’s inside it in a really nice way i actually asked for her name just to leave this review because she really deserves it totally recommend this place if ur visiting zakopane

We dropped by here in October when it was unexpectedly cold in Zakopane. The warmth atmosphere and service immediately made the cold go away~ we were served by a very attentive waiter called Bartek. The food portions are generous! We got the pork loin 'bacon' and deer ghoulash which was tender, juicy and absolutely perfectly seasoned. But the star for us was the white borscht - perfect for a cold day. Highly recommend you come here if you're in town!

We finally found a restaurant in Zakopane that truly lives up to the great reviews — and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent: we tried the pork ribs, beef ribs, fish, and even the chicken fillet — all delicious. The baked potato with cream was a real standout. The beer tasting was lovely, and the live music added so much to the fun and cozy atmosphere of the evening. Highly recommended — come here, you won’t regret it!

A beautiful trail along a mountain river. You have to climb quite a bit of rocks to get to the waterfall. If you are planning a trip with a stroller, you will only be able to cover half of the trail with it.

Nice walk with kids. Few places we had to carry buggy but getting to main picnic area is very manageable. Last part to waterfall not possible with buggy. Nice views of giewont along the way and at picnic area if clouds allow.

Recommends. We have really enjoyed . Easy route, walking in nature, amazing views of the mountains, and waterfalls along the route. Don't forget to take a bottle of water and a snack.

Wonderful easy hike for families and something more for adventurers :) There is usually a small place close to the waterfall, where you can buy warm tea/coffee and something small to eat. It's pricey but for a place without electricity 🔌 fully understable. It's worth to see.

Amazing trail in Tatra mountains, almost accessible by troller, only last couple of minutes to the waterfall need to carry our child on hands. Nice hut to buy snacks, beer and soup. We were family of five and had unforgettable experience!

What a cozy, beautiful spot! I'm so glad a friend brought me here, even as a foreigner I felt very well cared for. This little infusion of sea buckthorn, apple, cinnamon, aniseseed, and citrus was perfect for a chilly day in Zakopane.

Loved this spot! Thank goodness for Google Maps and the reviews cause we wouldn’t have ventured in here. Located in the 3rd floor (yes with an elevator), this café offers great service, great food and great views. The lunch menu doesn’t start til 2pm so I was obligated to get an order of French toast while we waited til 2 o’clock to order the mushroom soup :). Enjoyed everything we had here. The waiter offered a table right at the window even though it could’ve held more people and we never felt rushed. Highly recommend this place. Oh, and then there was the plum tart with a side of baklava ice cream. 🙌🏼

A wonderful place with very polite staff and a delicious breakfast. The location is amazing — you can enjoy your meal with a view of the snowy mountains. The waiter who served us, Kuba, was the most polite and helpful guy we met during our whole trip in Poland.

You know when you just love a place and wish it was your neighbourhood haunt but since it isn’t, the best you can do is stay for hours and order everything you can fit into your belly? If you don’t, come to STRH and you’ll know what I mean. Overlook the street from inside, cozy up by the fire or cuddle up with a blanket outside by the rushing water. The menu mixes classics and seasonal treats so we were lucky to be there during the days of plums, mushrooms and golden tree canopies.

The place is welcoming with a cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. 😍 You will be hosted immediately so you don't have to wait. There is a nice view of the street and the mountains. The food is amazingly good 😍 we had good breakfast and a nice cup of freshly brewed tea/coffee. Highly recommending this place!!

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. The waiters were extremely unfriendly, and their looks made us feel very uncomfortable. The service was poor and slow, with no real attention to customers. The only good thing about this place is the outdoor seating area, which is quite nice. I do not recommend this restaurant — the unpleasant atmosphere will just make you feel frustrated and irritated. Very bad experience. The waitress was rude and disrespectful. While it was raining and we were sitting outside, she came out and closed the umbrella over us — right in the middle of the rain — and said, in a very impolite way, that “the umbrella is only for the sun.” Her behavior was completely unacceptable, with no respect for customers. I do not recommend this place at all

Great service, well crafted menu, everything was very tasty and big plus for kids menu and entertainment! Personal recommendation: try out their dumplings! For restaurant / hotel managers: please ensure you have option for your service team to receive tips by card( for now I was told it’s impossible). There are tones of options nowadays (special apps, blick, QR codes, revolut and so on).

Another one of highlights on the food scene in Zakopane — and you don’t get a lot of these here. Came here twice and frankly speaking I wish I had more time to come again, but I’ll visit next time (hopefully with some new additions on the menu!). The cream of red pine is something that stands out above all other dishes but I gotta say the venison carpaccio and lamb shank has everything to it as well. I also tried borscht (beet) soup which was amazingly clear in flavour. The lamb dumplings are extremely filling — careful with your order :) the service the first time was much nicer than the second time — it felt like hotel guests are treated with much more care than locals. And yet the management should remember that the locals are the ones who will come back to eat here when the season is low and the guests show up just once. Just some food for thought. Regardless, real pleasure to eat at this place because the views cannot be compared to anything else.

Beautiful view from this restaurant, friendly service, tasty food. Prices are a little bit high, but it’s okay for a hotel restaurant. I personally recommend salmon, Zurek soup and potato purée with bacon.

Located in the Aries hotel, the restaurant is just steps away from the busy main Street. We enjoyed hot rock steak and River trout. Service was very attentive and would recommend this place for a couple's evening.

The best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel! The choice is unbelievable and the quality is undisputed. One of the best selections of cakes too for those who like some sugar! The hotel is expensive but the breakfast makes it worth the price. There is literally everything on the table for you to pick from. I would suggest going in for a breakfast as early as possible as some turn it into fashion show later on!

During our stay at the Aries & SPA hotel, we also tried the Halka hotel restaurant twice (lunch and dinner). The restaurant is spacious, but at the same time has a very cozy feel. It is mostly furnished with wooden furniture, which is nicely complemented with design elements. There is also a fireplace. The waiters were friendly and helpful. From the menu, we tried the Cesar salad, which you can find among the starters (but the portion size was enough for us as a main course), onion soup, duck with oranges (it was delicious - we would have liked a bigger portion), spinach ravioli and the Gingerbread dessert, which won award 2nd price at polish expo sweet (dessert was very interesting in appearance, consistency and taste - since I love gingerbread, I really liked it). Parking is possible right next to the hotels, so even if you are not staying at Aries hotels, you can easily get here. More on @larmarluxury.

We stayed in Aries hotel and because of high recommendations we visited also this restaurant. The place is very nice and designed very stylish. The food was tasty, we ordered burata salad, grilled cheese, ravioli and goose leg. For a drink we ordered cocktails, which also were good. But the service was awful, so slow and inattentive, there were only 2 waiters. We wait about 10 at the entrance to get the table, about 15 minutes to get the menu and so on.

Excellent dishes and modern interpretation of polish meals served nicely presented. Taste was always good with the experience of some new combinations. Service very obliging. Hot stone is one of their recommendations and served with a bib. ;-) unfortunately for people who like their meat really Medium it took a while on the stone. So, the side dishes became cold. Maybe the preparation of the meat should be asked nevertheless in before.

Beautiful restaurant, great staff. The food is very impressive, creative presentations, perfect portions and great modern food pairing. Quite a unique place.

It's a pretty mountain range but we had to do a long day trip to see it. Personally, I didn't think it was worth it. The top of the hill has a number of repetitive kiosks of food and souvenirs but it all felt so touristy and commercial. I would not recommend this visit. You do need tickets for the funicular to go up although we saw people hiking - maybe that would've been a more fun activity.

When you’re in Zakopane, it’s worth visiting at least once. Not sure if I’d go a second time :) After taking the funicular and heading to the right, the area was much calmer — we liked that part. There were walking trails continuing from there, but since we didn’t have much time, we couldn’t explore and don’t know exactly where they lead. We also tried oscypek on that side and it was delicious. The area leading to the church, on the other hand, was extremely crowded, so we didn’t spend much time there before heading back.

Gubałówka in Zakopane offers stunning views of the Tatra Mountains and town. Funicular ride is easy and scenic. Some people may sell tickets outside at higher prices, but buying at the ticket window, machine, or online is safer and saves time. Great for photos, relaxing, and enjoying the mountain air!

Gubałówka was a great experience, even with the rain! Walking in the mountains was refreshing, and the views were beautiful. There are plenty of shops to eat and buy souvenirs. It’s also very family-friendly with lots of fun activities for kids.

This street has a vararity of stores and the entrances all look amazing. The downside is that most times the streets and stores are very crowded. One more downside is the heating in the stores. Some stores don't have heating at all but in some stores it's burning hot. Recommend coming in the morning (7-10 am) or in late afternoon (5-9 pm) and don't come at Saturdays or Fridays.

A lovely full of charm street with shops looking nice, but definitely overpriced. Brands are wannabe and far away being luxury, but selling things as it'd be. There's a great restaurant at the end of the street, with a perfect service and local dishes.

Beautiful street to walk and explore the local products. We went during winters and it was heavily snowing. You can buy all kinds of things here. Must go on your trip to Zakopane.

Interesting range of shops. Not many brands I recognize from the UK, but it seems to be popular with the locals and have seen it advertised in the local area. The fashion items are typically polish and not always the same as the rest of Europe.

We participated in the traditional way to make Oscypek cheese ( with cow's milk as a substitute ). Very fun and unique experience!

Must Visit! Amazing place. Tours are in Polish - no english translation unfortunately. Cheap tickets. Very friendly staff. Very informative. You get to mould your own oscypek at the end. Just an FYI: this isn’t a museum as such… you don’t walk around looking at stuff. Definitely recommend 👍🏻 Thank you to the guy at reception for shrink wrapping our oscypek for our flight ✈️ They run out oscypek t-shirts 😭 so we might have to come back when we’re in Zakopane again.

Interesting experience, the main speaker is native to the region and speaks with local accent. Overall it was interesting to get to know local history and to taste cheese

Not recommended if you don't want to risk catching something because they pack all people in a single crowded room that has no hangers for coats(you leave them on the bench) and no ventilation(all the windows are closed). Pretty hot inside and these conditions are hard to bear in winter clothes. The overall show is quite long because every child is trying to mix cheese and pose for pictures. The story they tell about cheese is quite interesting so if it wasn't for conditions it could be a five star feedback.

Polite but Very disappointing. According to front desk person. One must buy ticket two days ahead online. No cash at the door, not even for up price. If you don't not speak polish or highland, you are turned away....even if you understand... even if you are willing to wait. Tip: Do not be spontaneous. You must plan ahead. You must order online. They can not know if you do not speak Polish. It would have been a great way to learn about the area and use the 2 hours I unexpectedly had time for.

Interesting place to visit if you're interested in Poland's history of cheese making and how the process occurs. The tour is for polish speaking visitors but a lovely staff member translated the talk in English to help us understand. It is a bit long, around 1.5 hours, but I had a good experience, especially molding our own cheese.

We had a great time here in early March, on the last week the maze was open. It was warm and it showed on the walls of the maze, but that's not a fault, just a warning that if you want to see this attraction, plan your visit in time! The maze was brilliant, the kids really enjoy it and it really takes a while to get out of it. :) As a reward, you can go up to the tower at the end, from where you can look back at the whole maze. :) Then we tried the snow sledding track, which was also brilliant, but unfortunately it was already closing, so we couldn't stay long. I highly recommend it, excellent entertainment!

The maze was really challenging. Eventually some of us made it through and got to the platform where they helped the rest of us out. A really great and challenging experience. The igloo was surprisingly big and there was a lot to see. I definitely recommend visiting at least these two. There would also have been a zoo and Santa's workshop. However, we didn't visit them, so I can't say whether they are worth the money.

We had a great time. The maze was a fun and unique experience for us. The igloo was very cool and intricate. The Santa Land was cool but definitely geared for younger kids. The price was a little high for our family but not terrible. Overall we really enjoyed it and would recommend.

Sculptures were lovely in the snow caves, very easy to get lost in the labyrinth lol my daughter met Santa which she loved. There are a few places to eat in and plenty of food carts, but not easy to get a seat if you want to eat inside

A lovely place. We bought a combined ticket for all activities. The maze is large and interesting, the igloo creations in the snow are amazing and the small zoo is simply charming. There is paid parking in the area. A recommended experience

The maze itself is not something amazing, probably it is better to watch it from above than to do it or go during the night. The mini zoo, on the contrary, it was very interactive and a joy for a kid's eyes

Quite expensive meals, even if they are tasty. Large choice of pizzas. You can enjoy deserts only.

I’ll admit it publicly: came here two days in a row because this was worth committing such sin if I can even say so. Definitely a new contender in the city to take the crown of the best pizza in the area. Grabbed the ‘trattoria parmigiana’ both days — perfectly baked and perfectly kneaded. Very thin, which is what I like. It’s a small room but you get to see the chefs behind the glass wall and can even chat with them! Truly recommended!

The food is so delicious everything we order was tasty. I loved their salad options and the pizza. Their seafood pizza is spicy be carful.

Food was so good, warming and filling and homemade. We loved everything we ordered- gnocchi, Alfredo, and tagliatelle. Pizza was also good quality crust and ingredients. Yum.

Pizza is fine but the service is average. The waiter was a little bit rude. I dont know why.

Have eaten in many places in Zakopane, however this place is something on the different level. Authentic athmosfere with occasional live music and most tasty food. My personal recommendation to go for Shashlik for the first time.

Great food with clearly marked vegetarian options, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. If you’re lucky, you might also enjoy the Gorale playing traditional highlander music, adding to the unique charm. Plenty of space at the free parking that is available

Had dinner here 3 times this week and each time has been fantastic, always amazing food and excellent service, great atmosphere and was given a real treat tonight when there was live music being played! The service was bad , we sat upstairs in the area behind the stairs and we were just ignored completely, it took ages to order , ask for the check or ask anything . The hot wine we got really good actually but quite small in size . We also got the potato pancakes , to be honest this was really bad, it came with fried cheese ball which had horrendous after taste and the texture felt like rubber , we had one bit and just left it as is .

We had the best beef of our life here, cooked on a hot stone – absolutely amazing! The staff were also very attentive and thoughtful with the kids, bringing coloring sheets and crayons to keep them happy. Great food and a family-friendly atmosphere – highly recommend

A place that is very different from the most of the restaurants on this street. It is really another level: the food is exquisite, the presentation is very original. The combination of the tests is just surprising - it works out so well. I suggest to try the soup with beat root+coconut+ice cream. The dessert of the chef was also mind blowing!!!

Hands down one of the best meals we had in Poland. All the dishes were delicious and prettily plated. Flavors were better than Bottiglieria 1881 in Krakow. I would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be back. Service was amazing and atmosphere was very serene.

Delicious high brow dining. The service was impeccable and any adjustments that they could make to the dishes was done gladly. The food is delicious, and although the menu is not enormous, each dish is delicious and perfectly calibrated. I had the salmon tartar which was incredible! I very recommended to anyone looking for a fancy meal when in zakopane!

Casa Mia is a good place to get some contemporary Italian meals. The price of a dish is above average which will give you a bit of expectation that it will be great dish, but it is just okay. Also, you have to note that this restaurant will require 20-40 mins waiting time after you placed your order. Which means they are cooking your food on demand. So, please consider the waiting time 😊. Don’t eat here if you’re famished. The server we had speaks English. So, that’s a plus for foreigners that can only communicate using English. She was very polite and attentive as well. Ambiance wise, it is a cozy, neat place. Although the floor area is small and only have around 5 - 6 tables of 4 seatings.

Best dish's in Poland (from a Local and 2 Irish lads) Apr 2023 One of the boys booked this and it was Amazing ••!!! Prawns or the dumplings were the starters 2 Pasta dishes, one with cheese and truffle the other was with mushrooms. All of theses were 5-5 and was hard to beat, best dish's in Poland we ever had!!!! Mains the boys had burgers and I had the steak. Top class And then the deserts !!!!! The Apple (never had anything like it) tiramisu and crème brûlée were class ! The hostess was so so nice.

BOSCO Pizzeria-Restaurant – A Relaxing Spot in Zakopane, But With One Big Flaw BOSCO has a really pleasant outdoor seating area, perfect for a relaxed meal in the fresh air. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the good atmosphere. I ordered the "góralska" zapiekanka with oscypek cheese – it was fine, just what you'd expect from a typical zapiekanka. The salmon salad was fresh and tasty, though it would’ve been even better with some croutons – either on top or served on the side for a bit of extra texture. However, a major downside: they only accept cash. I’m not sure if it was just a temporary issue with the payment terminal or if it’s always like this, but in this day and age, not being able to pay by card is really inconvenient.

Great attitude on person who served to us. Food was excellent. Maybe best diavolo I ever have had. Thin, crispy bottom, good amount of fillings and really spicy as this pizza should be. Strong recommendations.

This place is well worth a stop at the pizza was amazing the drinks are served cold just what we needed after a day in the mountains. Staff very friendly and fast service too highly recommend
