Kościuszko Mound is an artificial hill constructed in 1820 to honor Tadeusz Kosciuszko, a revered military figure in Poland's history. The mound also serves as the final resting place for Kosciuszko. From its summit, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Krakow and the stunning Beskid Zywiecki mountain range. This site has become popular among couples for wedding photoshoots due to its romantic ambiance and picturesque backdrop.
An interesting way to spend a couple of hours. If you're a tourist, it should be on your checklist. If you're a Krakow native you've probably been here a couple of times. It's a Kosciuszko museum that opens up onto the mound from which there are amazing vistas onto the city. It's easily accessible by public transport. Definitely recommend.
Janusz S — Google review
Good view of Krakow from the top. Nice walk from the city centre along the riverside through a park then the mound. About 40 minutes. The entrance is the same as the museum. Reasonable price.
Pops N — Google review
One of the most interesting places to visit in Krakow. Paying the fee allows you to visit an exhibition dedicated to the Polish national hero and the access to the picturesque hill (see the pictures below). Just hanging out within the museum complex (for free) is already worth the trip: the fortress looks amazing, there's a cafe with a view over the city, the forest around and the air are clean.
Volodymyr T — Google review
The visit to the Kościuszko Mound was a fantastic experience. The view from the top of Krakow and its surroundings is truly impressive, and the rich history of this place gives it a unique atmosphere. I definitely recommend visiting it to anyone interested in history, nature, or beautiful views.
Peter D — Google review
This was a truly lovely experience, definitely worth 5 stars! While I wouldn't call it an absolute 'must-visit' if you are on a very tight schedule, I highly recommend it if you have an afternoon. We took the tram to the end of the line and enjoyed the pleasant, scenic walk up to the hill. The real reward is the view from the top—it’s a stunning 360-degree panorama of the entire city of Krakow and the beautiful surrounding landscape. To get to the viewpoint, you must pass through an exhibition (which is included in the ticket). There’s also a very cozy panorama café. We walked up, but taking the bus back down was very convenient. A fantastic, relaxing activity.
Peter K — Google review
Great views of Krakow panorama, nice cafe and walking areas (if nice weather). Today was rainy, windy, cold, and cloudy, hence almost empty. The edge of the path leading to the top is quite steep, so one must take extra care not to trip over the brook stones, as a fall could be very painful.
Rom — Google review
It is nice for the view point. The museum is small. Going high up is the main fun moment here. Also great for walking in nearby neighborhood.
Natalie K — Google review
The Kosciusko Mound museum and attraction is worth visiting. However, note that if you have vertigo or a fear of heights, it is a long, steep, narrow path leading up without guardrails. Note that Trip Advisor charges approximately $15.00 for admission for what they call a "skip the line" ticket. First of all, there is no line. Secondly and most importantly, the cost of admission is approximately $7.00 at the ticket office and approximately $5.00 for seniors. TripAdvisor does not even mention a senior option . Please check the attraction's website for prices and compare it to what Trip Advisor charges. What Trip Advisor is doing is outright wrong.

Krakus Mound, located in Krakow, Poland, is the oldest and largest prehistoric mound in the country. It offers stunning panoramic views of the cityscape and is a popular spot for locals to gather during warmer months for barbecues and sunset watching. The mound has a rich history linked to mythical founder King Krakus and dates back as far as 500 BC based on research conducted in the 1930s. Positioned 2.
A little ways walk from the city, you can find this really cute hill that was supposedly the burial ground for Krakus, namesake of the city Krakow. On top of the mound, you can get a lovely view of the city. I went during the early afternoon, but I would imagine in the evening, the sunset would be stunning here. Highly recommend visiting especially if you're nearby!
David L — Google review
A must-visit if you’re in Kraków. It's not a very hard climb, but definitely worth it, particularly at sunset 🌇, with 360° views over Kraków. A little bit busy with people either climbing for the views or just chilling having a picnic, either way not to be missed.
Rana Z — Google review
Well worth the walk to the mound for the views. We had a lovely sunny day and the views of the city were amazing. And catch the dragons on the way and the beautiful church .

Scenic Viewpoint Over Krakow – Krakus Mound Krakus Mound is a lovely small hill that offers a panoramic view of Krakow city. It’s a peaceful and scenic spot, perfect for a short walk or a quiet moment away from the city buzz. The view from the top is definitely worth the climb. A nice place to visit, especially during sunset!
Dawood K — Google review
Best place to chill.and relax to view the sunset. You get to see the city view from the top. Definitely recommend this place
Pragati D — Google review
We visited Krakus Mound on Saturday to catch the sunset, and it was stunning. The panoramic 360° views of the city are incredible, perfect for photography or just taking in Kraków from above. The climb is fairly gentle and manageable for most people, though there are a few steeper sections near the top. It was quite crowded, so expect a fair number of visitors, especially around sunset. That said, the experience is still worth it for the views and the peaceful vibe at the top once you reach it. It’s also great for picnics. There are some trees to provide a little shade, although there are no fully sheltered spots. We took an Uber to get there, which was quick and convenient. For the return, you can take the train back to Główny, making it easy to combine with other sightseeing in Kraków.

Lovely mound of earth with a decent footpath, showing great 360° views of Krakow! We saw a horn gathering when we went which was somewhat bizarre, but everyone else seemed to expect this?

Town Hall Tower is a 14th-century structure that was part of the city hall and now houses exhibits on the city's history. It leans nearly half a meter to the east and offers a panoramic view of the Main Square from its viewing platform, as well as hosting a photography exhibition detailing the square's modern history. At its base stands an intriguing sculpture known as 'The Head.'
The Town Hall Tower is one of those Kraków landmarks that makes you stop and look up! This 14th‑century Gothic tower is all that remains of the old Town Hall, and climbing it gives you a fantastic view over the Main Square. Inside, there’s a small exhibition with a bit of the city’s history – but the real highlight is the view from the top. Go in the morning for fewer crowds and clearer photos. A quick but memorable stop in the heart of Old Town!
Murat K — Google review
Overrated and they don't work according to schedule. The tower closes at 18, I was there at 17, they didn't let me in. I went in the next day only to look at prints and the view isn't that impressive. If you're wondering whether it is worth it or not, it is not. There are more impressive towers
Karol — Google review
Visiting the Philadelphia City Hall Tower was a remarkable experience that offered a completely different perspective of the city. Rising high above the streets, the tower provides stunning panoramic views in every direction, making it one of the best vantage points to truly appreciate Philadelphia’s unique blend of history and modernity. The journey up is an experience in itself, and standing just beneath the iconic statue of William Penn felt both symbolic and inspiring. From the top, the city unfolds beautifully, the historic landmarks, bustling streets, and skyline all come together in one sweeping view. What makes the visit memorable is not just the scenery, but the sense of standing at the heart of the city, both geographically and symbolically. The tower is a must-see for anyone wanting to connect with Philadelphia beyond its historic halls and museums, it offers a perspective that is both breathtaking and grounding.
Ali R — Google review
Kraków’s Town Hall Tower stands like an old storyteller who has refused to retire, leaning slightly from centuries of weather and warfare yet still proud enough to watch over the Rynek with those great emerald clocks blinking in the sun. It is the last surviving fragment of the medieval Town Hall, a lone guardian from the fourteenth century that somehow outlived fires, invasions and the relentless habit of cities to reinvent themselves. The brickwork glows warmly even on a cold morning, the white stone accents like scars from a life thoroughly lived. The clocks, those huge green faces with their golden hands, feel almost theatrical, as if time here is meant to be read with a certain flourish. And they have earned the drama. In earlier centuries the bell inside the tower tolled out warnings of fires, storms and approaching armies. These days it mostly keeps the rhythm of the square, a gentle metronome for modern wanderers. The quirks are part of its charm. The tower leans about half a metre off vertical thanks to a seventeenth century storm that hit it harder than expected. And beneath it once stood a medieval torture chamber, proof that even the prettiest buildings have skeletons in the basement. There is also the wonderful oddity of the tower’s former bugle call, once played from its windows before the Mariacki trumpeter became Kraków’s star performer. Walking around it feels like moving through the city’s layered memory. Cyclists whir past, pigeons plot mischief, the cafes hum against the old stones, and the tower just keeps watching, calmly marking time as Kraków continues telling its long, magnificent story. Stepping close to its walls gives a sense of being both tiny in the sweep of history and completely woven into the moment, an experience worth returning to whenever the soul needs a reminder that endurance can be beautiful.
Basil C — Google review
Seeing the tower, standing tall right in the middle of the Main Square was impressive. It’s got this old-world vibe with its red brick and gothic details that really adds character to the whole area. Even from the outside, it feels like a solid piece of history watching over the city’s everyday life. Definitely a landmark that grounds the square and makes wandering around feel that much more special.
K E — Google review
The Town Hall Tower is in Krakow Old Town. It is 70 meters high and offers panoramic views from its upper floors. There is a small museum inside, part of the Historical Museum of Krakow, which houses exhibits on the history of the city. The cellars of the tower once housed a city prison with a medieval torture chamber.
Vasileia V — Google review
It's worth seeing the tower from the outside, but not going up, as the stairs seemed a bit dangerous to me; they are very narrow and have high steps, and there isn't much to see at the top because you can't go out onto the balcony.
JULIO P — Google review
Overpriced. 20zł and you can’t even get out onto the balcony to see the view properly, you have to view through 3 small windows. I’d admire the tower from the outside but wouldn’t pay to go up.

Restaurant
U Ziyada is a classic hotel in Krakow that offers relaxed rooms, an apartment, a breakfast buffet, and conference facilities. The U Ziyada Rooftop is located in a restored 19th-century building and provides sweeping views of Krakow. The venue offers a sensorial experience that bridges centuries amidst the city's history and urban dynamism.
"We were lucky to get the best table with a stunning view. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. A wonderful experience from start to finish!"
Petr S — Google review
U ZIYADA is a spectacular spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy coffee with desserts in the fresh air. I only discovered it a day before leaving Krakow, and I truly regret not visiting earlier. I would have loved to try breakfast there as well. The apple pie topped with rose-flavored ice cream was a delightful combination, both unique and delicious. Overall, it’s a highly recommended place to recharge, ease away stress, and simply breathe in the beauty of the surroundings.
Hussain A — Google review
Weronika was an absolute delight, so happy to have her attending to us. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was super cozy. A must go to place in Krakow 😊
Emmeline D — Google review
This place is one of those restaurants that does random, pointless things to their food and pretends to be a “high-class” establishment just because they overcharge people for tasteless dishes. Even Żabka’s ready meals taste better than the food here. I highly recommend that they change their chefs. We had a birthday celebration here, and they wanted to charge us 30 zł per person if we brought our own cake — basically forcing us to buy theirs. We chose a “fruity” cake, and guess what? There wasn’t a single real piece of fruit in it. The entire cake was just filled with bland, tasteless cream, and they charged us €150 for that disaster — total scam. They even stuck a piece of cinnamon into a meatball and called it “shashlik,” which has absolutely nothing to do with real shashlik. They couldn’t even manage to cook proper mushrooms — they were bitter and flavorless. If you want good, tasty food, this is NOT the place. The only good thing here is the view, and that’s it.
Akbar M — Google review
Very luxurious place, great coffee and dessert. We went without reservations and got lucky to have a table by the sunset. If you plan to go it’s a bit far so make sure to call for a reservation. Service was okay, I just don’t like adding a 10% to the bill for service and informing us. I got embarrassed and accepted it.
Waad H — Google review
Despite its nice view on top of a hill and a nicely designed interior, my very personal experience here was unfortunately a major disappointment. It was my first visit last Sunday, after a pleasant walk around Las Wolski. We decided to stop by for dinner, thinking it would be a nice place to relax and enjoy a good meal, but it turned out to be quite the opposite! While the view and interior are indeed lovely, the kebab jagnięcy was, without exaggeration, one of the worst kebabs I’ve ever had!! Comparing it to what you’d find in Turkey or elsewhere in the region would simply be unfair to real kebabs. The portion was extremely small and I’d estimate around 100–150 grams before cooking. And to make matters worse, it was served on cinnamon sticks, which not only made no sense at all but was never mentioned anywhere on the menu. That’s simply unacceptable and, frankly, far too amateur for a place that positions itself as a quality restaurant. To make it worse, I am quite certain the kebab was pre-cooked and only reheated before serving. It was incredibly dry, with pieces sticking to the cinnamon sticks, making the already small portion even smaller. The fact that it arrived at the table in under 10 minutes, despite the restaurant being fairly busy, only reinforced that suspicion. My friend ordered soup, cheesecake, fries, an espresso, and an americano. In total, we ended up paying 135 zł each (for two people). Overall, this has been one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve personally had in a long time. Beautiful view aside, the food quality, portion size, and presentation were far below expectations. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all!
Kalyoner — Google review
Despite its stunning location and elegant setting, my experience at U Ziyada was deeply disappointing and frankly unacceptable. I visited the restaurant in the morning and ordered something as simple as eggs. What followed was a surreal and frustrating 45-minute wait—yes, 45 minutes for eggs—with no update or explanation from the staff. After this unreasonable delay, I got up and politely approached the waiter to ask if the order was coming. What I encountered was not just incompetence, but mockery. The waiter, instead of apologizing or checking on the order, laughed with a colleague as if the situation was amusing. They spoke in Polish, apparently assuming I wouldn’t understand—but although I’m Italian, my mother is Polish, and I fully understood their crude remarks. They were openly making fun of my Italian accent and cynically joked that they would just let me wait until I gave up and left. These comments weren’t just unprofessional—they were deeply disrespectful and completely destroyed any sense of hospitality the restaurant’s setting might suggest. The two young male waiters involved showed a level of immaturity and rudeness that is unacceptable in any establishment, let alone one that presents itself as refined and high-end. No matter how beautiful the view may be, a restaurant that treats its guests with such disdain does not deserve your time, money, or trust. Unless management takes serious steps to address the behavior and training of its staff, especially those working the morning shift, I strongly advise against visiting U Ziyada. A meal isn’t just about the food—it’s about feeling welcome, respected, and cared for. Sadly, this place offers none of that. Avoid it if you want to start your day in peace.

The Groble Skybar lounge, formerly known as Malecon, is a rooftop bar located on the banks of the Vistula River in Krakow. It offers stunning views of Wawel Castle and opens early for breakfast with picturesque vistas extending along the Vistula towards the Tatra Mountains. The bar features both indoor and terrace seating, serving a diverse menu that includes Polish classics, pizza, and bar snacks.
This place was great! We ate outside on the rooftop which gave us an awesome view. We had the pear/goat cheese salad, watermelon salad, mushroom pasta, duck and fish. Everything tasted wonderful except the fish. We notified the waiter about the fish and they were so quick to remedy the situation. They offered to make us a different dish without hassle. Great customer service, ambiance and definitely great food. Totally worth it. :)

Riverside Oasis with a View This lovely rooftop bar offers stunning views overlooking the river, providing a picturesque backdrop for your evening. Don't let its initial appearance fool you – it's much bigger than it looks, with ample space to relax. You'll find a variety of seating options, ensuring comfort whether you prefer the warm sun or the cool shade. While the nachos weren't a highlight, the overall ambiance and scenic setting make it a worthwhile visit for drinks and the view.

We had such an amazing wood oven pizza with a gorgeous glass of red. We loved it ❤️ it was a cool night and we were given option to sit in or outside with blankets. Staff super nice and attentive, just fab ❤️ highly recommended it 😀
Ania A — Google review
My husband and I stopped in here to have a drink and watch the sunset. You should definitely include this in your itinerary. It overlooks the river, and sits right beside Wawel castle. We plan on going back in December. Their pizzas looked delicious, but we didn't have food.
Jillian D — Google review
My wife ordered mussels in wine sauce. There was no sauce. On a dry plate, just poured small, semi-dry mussels. I asked the waiter "Where's the sauce?" - He said that "this is our norm and we always serve so." And last year it was not so. And this is not to mention other institutions. Very poor quality dish for almost 100 zlotys. Even a beautiful landscape, does not brighten such poor quality of the dish. And I ask for book of feedback and recommendations to write about the dish and the waitress say that "we don't have it - you can write your feedback in the Google". As I know, every public food place should have it. It's changed now or she just didn't wish to give It to me?
Vitaliy I — Google review
This is a fabulous location at the rooftop of one of the buildings just next to Wawel Castle and Vistula. Sightview? Breathtaking. Unfortunately, espresso was simply disgusting. We had been waiting for our order (a César salat and a burger) for over an hour. Only chips were of acceptable quality and temperature. The salat was not up to my date's expectation. Burger was rather overcooked and tasteless. On the plys side, the service offered us a discount to cover for waiting time. Altogether, mediocre.

The serving staff were delightful but unfortunately our experience was poor. My coffee arrived 15 minutes before everyone else's drinks. 30 minutes after this, we still hadn't received our cakes! My coffee was long gone so I cancelled the order. It wasn't even busy, I have no idea what went wrong. The lady who was our server was very apologetic and absolutely delightful, not her fault at all. I'd say give it a try for a great view over the square. Entrance is a little tricky to find through the museum to the right of the cloth hall. You don't have to pay entry for the museum of you're just visiting the cafe.

Outstanding view, better than I thought it would offer. Little bit of a wait to get a table. All tables have a view over the square. The iced mocha was honestly to so so good. Staff very friendly and prices very reasonable. Well worth a visit so don’t overlook this one. Entry is below the balcony towards the middle market entrance area.

We arrived too late for food but thankfully we had eaten earlier in day so no great issue. Service was excellent although cafe was busy. Staff always smiling and engaging with you. Great selection of cocktails. Tokyo Tea is good but strong!! Not too expensive considering the view you have! I would highly recommend a visit!

View is beautiful, service staff has nice attitude, service is just way too slow! We only got our drinks after waiting for almost 30min

I ordered the green iced tea with peach and mint and after 20 minutes waiting, i got a completely different lemonade that tastes like honey and had not sparkling water. I told the staff and they said it was the right order, but after insisting they went to check with the kitchen staff. They came back with a new glass and apologised for the mistake... this new drink had a grapefruit in and still no sparkling water, so not quite right either.... very bad service

Great place for the view of the square and church. I enjoyed a beer or two. Staff was great. To find the entrance: if your standing in the middle of the shopping building. Have the church your back ( church at your 5 o'clock) the set of doors are the third set to your right from the walkway in the middle of the shopping building ( i have them circled in red in a photo) there is a sign in the door for the Szal Cafe. Go in ...there's some police sitting at a desk...dont mind them...turn to your left and walk 30 ft. You'll see the elevator or stairs.

Not recommending. The first impression was good- pretty view over Vistula river, nicely organized restaurant with life music. Looks and feels like high quality place. But...: - food was very salty, without much of the taste - service wasn’t kind, not helpful with decision making - waiter had no idea about vegetarian nor vegan diets, concluding its “just vegetables “ Spa has full offer with vegan massages, makeups, etc while in the restaurant you will get very disappointed. Not even one vegetarian/vegan position in the menu and then you’ll get rolling eyes waiter... It completely destroyed good feeling that we got from Spa. There are so many good, high quality restaurants in Kraków worth visiting. This one is just waste of time and money. We are not going back to this place.

Józef Piłsudski's Mound is an artificial formation in Krakow, Poland, built between 1934 and 1937 to honor the Polish statesman Józef Piłsudski. Situated on Sowiniec Heights in Krakow's VII District 'Zwierzyniec,' this mound offers picturesque hiking trails leading to panoramic views of the city.
The path is easy from krakow zoo bus stop, it is slippery and windy on the mound during winter so you need to be careful.
Timun E — Google review
Peaceful and impressive historic site surrounded by nature. The walk up to the mound is relaxing, and the view from the top is absolutely worth it—panoramic scenery over Kraków and the forest. Great for a quiet escape or a short hike. No ticket needed, no wait time, and it’s open all year. A hidden gem with national importance.

Memorial mound with stunning views across to Krakow city, the airport and beyond. (My pics don't do it justice). Easily accessible if you find the car park! I saw this from the plane as we flew into Krakow and decided to visit and check it out. As you climb the mound the views unwind as you gradually clear the tree canopy. Really lovely! My only issue was with Google maps. Google maps took me to a steep hike (1hr+) through woodland. I was on a bike! I had to leave it at the foot of the climb. There is actually a road and a car park but I only discovered this after the hike. I actually enjoyed the hike, but it wasn't necessary. Luckily my visit wasn't time critical.

Zakrzówek, also known as Zalew Zakrzówek, is a popular spot in Krakow that has gained attention on social media platforms like Instagram. The lagoon boasts stunning turquoise waters and is surrounded by impressive limestone cliffs. Although it's currently under construction and officially off-limits, many visitors still find their way in to enjoy the beautiful views. However, it's important to note that the water is deep and swimming comes with its own risks.
Nice place to visit with family or friends. Available pools for different ages of kids, even for smallest. On top of this - free entrance and number of visitors is strictly controlled (so it won’t be overcrowded). There is only disadvantage - long queue even during weekdays :(

Beautiful place! Be aware that it’s still under construction, it is officially not allowed to enter. People climbed the fences and enter anyway. However, the water is very deep, swim at your own risk. And be careful with the wooden sticks. Some small pieces went into my foot sole.

Picturesque place but the only thing that you can do here is sitting/standing and watching on a pond. Unfortunately there is no infrastructure: 1) no benches 2) sidewalk made by crushed stone which is laying everywhere It will be difficult for people with disabilities to reach this place. Also it is not super safe, because almost all people climb over a fence and sitting over a cliff. The only good thing is a handy public transport connection between City Centre and a park.

Nice views, good service and excellent cocktails. A bit pricey, as is expected for such places, but not too too expensive. It was a bit crowded with British tourists, take that as you will 😉

On a good summer day this place really shines with its fantastic view of the city and the river Vistula. The cocktails are decent, a bit pricey compared to other places in Krakow. The waiter who was serving us was friendly but seemed a bit new to the job. The bartender took some time to make our cocktails, but the view made up for the time.

Great city and river views, perfect to drink cocktails in a nice setting. You can either pick something from the menu or ask the bartenders to make you something. Booked this lovely rooftop bar to see the views of Krakow in the evening. Hidden inside and above a hotel, you go up in the lift to nearly the top and walk the last flight of stairs..Some really lovely views, sat outside for photos, but as it was January when we went it was too cold to have drinks out there. Perched on a hilltop, the Wawel Royal Castle-State Art Collection in Krakow boasts a rich history dating back to the 14th century. Overlooking the medieval city and Vistula River, it holds great significance for Poles, symbolizing their country's past glory under powerful monarchs. Despite no longer serving as a royal residence, it remains a unifying symbol for the Polish people.
The Wawel Royal Castle, on the Wawel Hill, is one the most, historically and culturally, important sites in Poland. Used to be the residence of kings in the past, the castle is now one very important art museum. You need 4-5 hours to visit all chambers and see all the art exhibits. A collection of paintings, prints, sculpture, textiles, tapestry, arms and armor, ceramics.. There is an entrance fee for the most rooms, but there are some parts you can visit for free. Do not miss a walk around the hill, it's truly fantastic if the weather is good!
Vasileia V — Google review
Wawel Royal Castle is a beautiful trip that is definitely worth the visit! The architecture is impressive and full of history, offering an enriching cultural experience. Furthermore, its location provides a beautiful view of the river Vistula, perfect for photos and relaxation. To complete the visit, make sure to see the famous Wawel Dragon statue, which, to everyone's delight, breathes fire every 10 minutes! It's a fun detail that appeals to all ages. The attraction is very well maintained, and the whole complex is a must-see tourist spot in Poland.
Luana B — Google review
Visiting the Wawel Royal Castle–State Art Collection is an unforgettable experience that beautifully blends art, architecture, and history. Perched above the Vistula River, the castle offers breathtaking views of Kraków and an atmosphere that feels almost timeless. Every corner of the complex tells a story — from the grand royal chambers to the intricate tapestries and stunning Renaissance courtyards. The State Art Collection is incredibly well curated, showcasing exquisite works that highlight Poland’s royal heritage and artistic legacy. The Crown Treasury and Armoury, in particular, are a must-see for anyone interested in medieval craftsmanship and regal splendor. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, eager to share insights and answer questions, making the experience even more enriching. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and there’s plenty of space to wander, reflect, and take in the history that surrounds you. Whether you’re an art lover, a history enthusiast, or simply a traveler in search of beauty and culture, Wawel Castle is an absolute gem — a true symbol of Poland’s enduring spirit and elegance.

The Wawel Royal Castle Gardens in Kraków are a beautifully restored part of Poland’s most iconic historic site. Nestled on Wawel Hill, the gardens offer a serene escape from the city, with meticulously arranged flower beds, manicured lawns, and stunning views over the Vistula River. They blend Renaissance design with natural charm, evoking the elegance of royal life while maintaining a peaceful, contemplative atmosphere. The State Art Collection housed within Wawel Castle is equally impressive. It features masterpieces of European art, exquisite tapestries from the 16th century, royal portraits, and priceless artifacts from Poland’s regal past. Highlights include the famous Flemish tapestries commissioned by King Sigismund II Augustus and an exceptional collection of Renaissance and Baroque art. Together, the gardens and the art collection make Wawel not only a symbol of Polish heritage but also a living museum of art, architecture, and nature — a must-see for any visitor to Kraków!

This is a very impressive castle. We booked a tour so that we could learn a lot, but there is so much to see that the tour felt kind of fast. Book based on your personal preference - if you wish to linger maybe go with an audio guide. It’s very interesting and a wonderful place to visit.
Gwyneth S — Google review
A must do if you're visiting Kraków. The exterior grounds themselves are free to roam as you please, you will only need to pay to access the exhibitions inside the interior rooms of the castle. I will advise you that the tickets for the cathedral and rest of the castle attractions are sold in separate ticket booths. These tickets booths are clearly signposted however so you should have no issue in getting around. Also you must buy individual tickets for each of the attractions that you wish to visit during your time at the castle. All in all, it's a great day out for all the family and you can spend several hours here getting to see all of the great exhibits that are on display. There are also ample facilities for food, storing bags and toilets (which you can use your entrance ticket to access for free).
Corneilius M — Google review
This is by far the most impressive castle I saw in Poland and it's huge. Divided by multiple sections, I strongly encourage you visit the jewels and weapons section and the 2nd floor, but if you hace time, everything is worth checking! Absolutely beautiful works of art renovated perfectly or kept pristine, an audioguide is strongly recommended so you can understand more the context behind some of the things. The dragon's den I considered it to be Meh, only visit it at the end upon exit if you want, but truth be told you won't waste much if you skip it. Gardens are beautiful albeit small. You'll need to leave your luggage upon visiting, but it's free storage so more than encouraged. A must see if you visit Kraków

Wawel Castle is without doubt one of the most impressive and historically important sites in Kraków, and a symbol of Polish heritage. Perched on Wawel Hill above the Vistula River, it combines beautiful Renaissance courtyards, Gothic towers, and breathtaking views over the city. Walking through the royal chambers, the armory, and the treasury, you get a real sense of the centuries of power and culture that shaped Poland. The nearby Wawel Cathedral, with its chapels and royal tombs, is equally remarkable and deeply moving, as it is the final resting place of Polish kings, queens, and national heroes. Even if you don’t go inside, the grounds are worth exploring for the atmosphere and panoramic views. This is a place where history, art, and architecture come together in a truly unique way. Absolutely essential on any visit to Kraków.

Church
Place of worship
St. Mary's Basilica, a Roman Catholic church located in the city center, is a must-visit for its stunning features and rich history. The basilica boasts a carved altarpiece and Gothic watchtower that announces the time with hourly trumpet calls. Inside, visitors can admire beautiful tracery and medieval stained glass windows while learning about Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles as well as the pillar-buttress system.
St. Mary’s Church in Kraków is one of the most breathtaking places in the city and easily one of my favorite churches in Poland. Its majestic Gothic architecture, richly decorated interior, and intricate details inspire awe and convey a profound sense of solemnity. Built in the 14th century, the church’s construction continued over several centuries. In the late 15th century, it gained one of its most remarkable features – the altarpiece by Veit Stoss, the largest wooden Gothic altarpiece in Europe, created between 1477 and 1489. Commissioned by the citizens of Kraków, it was made from three types of wood: oak for the structure, larch for the background, and limewood for the figures. The interior is equally stunning, adorned with polychrome decoration completed between 1890 and 1892 by Jan Matejko and his collaborators. The star-shaped vaulted ceiling, rich in symbolism and intricate details, gives the impression of heaven descending to earth, while the walls feature biblical scenes and images of saints, inviting quiet reflection. For a small fee, visitors can explore the interior, and a truly special moment occurs at 11:50, when the wings of the main altarpiece open to the accompaniment of music, revealing the exquisite carved scenes in all their detail. The church is also famous for one of Kraków’s most enduring legends – the Mariacki Bugle Call. According to tradition, it originated from a medieval trumpeter who sounded the alarm during an enemy attack and was struck by an arrow while playing. Ever since, the melody has been played every hour in honor of his bravery. St. Mary’s Church masterfully combines history, art, and spirituality. Its beauty and grandeur leave a lasting impression on anyone who visits. It is a place not to be missed, where one can experience the true spirit of Kraków while admiring the stunning altarpiece and polychrome decorations.

St. Mary’s Basilica is absolutely stunning — the interior took my breath away. The colours, detail, and craftsmanship are incredible, and photos really don’t do it justice. It’s also great to see such a beautiful landmark remain accessible and affordable for everyone. Unlike many tourist sites, it doesn’t feel over-commercialised or like it’s trying to monetise a religious space — it’s handled with real respect and care. Whether you’re exploring Kraków for a day or a week, this is a must-visit spot. The surrounding square and old town atmosphere make the whole experience even more special. Highly recommend!

The St. Mary’s Basilica is absolutely beautiful. The architecture and interior details are stunning. There’s usually a line to get in, so plan ahead. Keep in mind that visitors aren’t allowed during mass, but outside those times, the experience is amazing and peaceful.

Wonderful experience. The Basilica is very interesting, nice and rich. Full of emotions. You have to wait a bit sometimes but it worths a visit. Every hour there's a surprise playing music...
Punakaiki — Google review
Saint Mary’s Basilica rises over Kraków’s square like a Gothic prayer cast in brick. Rebuilt by the townspeople after the 1241 invasion, it became the city’s own gift to itself. Its twin towers—one tall and crowned with the Hejnał trumpeter, the other sturdy and quiet—frame a church shaped by generations of architects and guilds. Inside, blue star vaulted ceilings lead to Veit Stoss’s luminous fifteenth century altarpiece, a masterpiece of carved devotion. The shrine of Our Lady glows with votive offerings, and the hourly Hejnał, cut short in memory of a fallen watchman, ties history and reverence into a single breath.
Basil C — Google review
Well, it's impressing but you're not getting that much of a difference in view by paying for the ticket. I recommend going through the free entrance and seeing if it's good enough for you before deciding to buy an actual ticket. By the way, you can easily buy tickets in the building opposite the side entrance.

The MOCAK Krakow Museum of Contemporary Art is a high-tech, three-story art museum displaying provocative multimedia works. The building it's housed in is from the Schindlers Factory complex, and showcases the work of various Polish and international artists of the past twenty years.
I really enjoyed MOCAK, its collection, and the reclaimed post industrial space. Very well written English descriptions made it very convenient for anyone who doesn’t speak Polish. They kinda get overshadowed by Schindler’s Factory next door, but I can strongly recommend this museum for anyone who’s interested in modern art and exploring the Polish art world.

A beautiful space containing some interesting artworks of varied quality. The narrative or flow is a little muddled and it isn't entirely clear where the collection ends or how you exit (the same way you came in - so you pass through the first gallery again as you leave). I thought Dorota Mytych's 'At the Back of My Mind' was the stand out exhibition.
Rebecca N — Google review
Me and my partner love contemporary and modern art, and we visit museums or galleries like this one everywhere we go. This one was a very pleasant surprise. It was that kind of exposition when the art streams what it is supposed to. You could quite literally feel what the artist wanted you to feel by looking at it. This exposition was a little bit dark and disturbing but that is what art is all about as well. We enjoyed this visit a lot, we recommend!

Nice museum with a permanent exhibition and cool temporary exhibitions. Check out the Warhol installation. I wonder if it is really his sofa. I assume so.
Sander H — Google review
The museum’s design is beautiful and the space itself is great, but unfortunately the exhibition is quite disappointing. There are a few interesting works, but most of the collection feels empty and uninspiring. Some pieces didn’t really seem to fit the museum’s concept, maybe it’s just a matter of taste. The entrance fee is 30 zł, and honestly, there are probably better places to visit in Kraków.

MOCAK is Kraków’s creative side in full swing! Located right next to Schindler’s Factory, this contemporary art museum mixes thought‑provoking exhibitions with bold, modern installations. It’s refreshing after days of medieval streets and churches – you get to see how Polish and international artists tackle today’s themes. I spent about 1–2 hours exploring, and the café inside is perfect for a break. Tickets are around 20 PLN, making it an easy add‑on to your itinerary.

on the Cracow Eye. We were too early and decided to go in here for some brunch while we waited. It was a great decision. We both ordered Eggs Benedict. It was so nice and I really really enjoyed it. We also got a free drink with each breakfast. It was very reasonably priced. The food was ready quickly which was good. You order at the bar and then are given a buzzer which goes off when the food is ready. You then go up and collect it. Lovely restaurant very big, bright and airy. When you pay you are given tickets to access the toilets so you don't have to pay. We sat inside as it was very hot so we wanted some shade. There is also lovely seating areas outside. Unfortunately I only had one visit to this restaurant on this trip but I will definitely come back again on my next visit to Krakow.

Resturacja Rubinstein & Skybar is a must-visit spot in Krakow's Jewish quarter, offering a delightful dining experience and stunning views of the city. The restaurant boasts a relaxing fine dining atmosphere with attentive and friendly staff. Guests can enjoy rich and tasty dishes such as confetti pork cheeks, creamed celeriac, pan-seared cabbage, duck pate, and more.
Started the evening with a few drinks at the sky bar. Amazing views! Just caught the golden hour before sunset. Perfect. Went downstairs for the most amazing meal. Confetti pork cheeks, creamed celeriac and pan seared cabbage with a wild garlic jus. The waiter, kept us comfortable, was knowledgeable, friendly and made some great suggestions. A perfect evening:-)

My sister and I came to Kraków for a day trip but the city centre was absolutely heaving so I suggested escaping to Kazimierz (old Jewish district) as I knew there were also many restaurants there. When we arrived, an older gentleman greeted us and talked us through the menu. He had much pride in the food that was served here and I felt he genuinely wanted us to have a good experience during our stay - he even recommended a couple of other reputable restaurants in the area as my sister was undecided. As a roast duck connoisseur I eventually managed to rope her into dining here as that dish was their speciality. I can confirm that the roast duck lived up to its reputation, however it was the chicken broth soup that completely blew my mind. It was the kind of dish that stays in your memory long after you have had it. Our expectations were exceeded and we had a wonderful time. My sister, who lives in Australia, won't be back for a while but I certainly will. Thank you for making our family reunion extra special.

Had the pleasure of dining rooftop in late September on a chilly evening. Quick lift ride to the 5th floor, then up a short flight of stairs. Matthew was a great host, making sure I had a blanket plus a warm fire close to my table. The hummus with pomegranate and cucumber with matza was delicious. The Pappardelle & Duck pasta was fabulous. Everything was beautifully presented. Terrific views from rooftop. The hotel itself was very pretty.

If you step in the Jewish quarter you definitely need to pay a visit here. Nice food, good desert and amazing view of the quarter and the city from the roof top bar. Special mention to Mateusz! Very good service.

We loved this restaurant this much we had two meals 😋. Food is absolutely outstanding and yet very inexpensive. It's difficult for disability small flight of steps down lift at main door will take you down. Highly rate this restaurant

This has to be one of the best places to eat in Krakow. The food was second to none and the service friendly and welcoming. We sat outside to suck up the atmosphere, and it was a perfect evening. Tip... Take a drink in the restaurants sky bar for a great view of the city at sunset and then move downstairs for your delicious meal.

Trzy Rybki is a stylish and elegant restaurant located on Szczepanski Street in Krakow, within the luxurious Hotel Stary. The venue features exposed brick vaults, candle-lit tables, and dramatic flower arrangements, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. The menu, curated by Masterchef Krzysztof Zurek, offers modern interpretations of European classics with a focus on seafood and traditional seasonal Polish dishes. The restaurant's impressive wine collection includes Italian wines that complement the cuisine.
Had a lunchtime tasting menu which took about two hours - two relaxed, delicious hours. The food was sensational. Not overwhelming ie although portions were small I left feeling full. All dishes were absolutely packed with flavour. Friendly efficient service. Would recommend if you want to push the boat out on your trip to Krakow.

Absolutely stunning bar and restaurant. We couldn't have been happier to experience: the breathtaking roof top bar & restaurant, the friendly and highly competent staff, the great service and hospitality. And special thanks to Tomasz Pactwa & our amazing waiter Jakub. They supported us in a very special way. Dziekuje bardzo. 🙏🏽

What an absolutely stunning fine dinning establishment. We ordered two from each of the courses, starter, first course, main course, and desert paired with a glass of white wine. Each dish was gorgeously displayed, the food delicious, and the atmosphere refined. The dishes that stood out the most from each course were the Salmon Sashimi (starter), Ravioli (first course), Turbot fish (main course), and coffee tart (dessert). I’d like to add that there were three complimentary courses provided to us. A pre-starter salmon tartar which was excellent, an asparagus pre-main, and a pre-dessert (strawberries, tomato, red pepper, and cream— this was a stunning dish and should be on the menu!) Service was top-notch, with attention to detail. The pacing of the meal was perfect. Not too fast with dish after dish but just right with about 10-15min in between to enjoy the taste and digest. I can’t wait to return as I know we will. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience.

Best meal I had in Krakow! The tasting menu was a delight; every dish was memorable and Sofia curated a magnificent wine pairing which included a Polish sauvignon gris, also memorable. The historic setting with a modern intervention and spot on service completed the experience. Thank you Sofia and Nikolai!

The Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec is a centuries-old monastery situated on a cliff with stunning views of the Vistula River. The atmosphere exudes tranquility and offers an array of monastery-made products such as alcoholic beverages, organic cakes, cheeses, breads, and ice creams. The monks cultivate their own ingredients and sell their divine creations in an on-site shop.
We cycled from Krakow to this beautiful Abbey. Great cycle route along the river, easy ride (around 15km). The Abbey was a great place to visit, explore and have a drink before cycling back to Krakow. Lovely day trip
Rebecca W — Google review
This was my second time visiting. There was no renovation during my first visit, but now the outside of the church was under construction, with scaffolding at the entrance (in mid-August). Still, it’s such a peaceful spot surrounded by nature. I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in Krakow. If you visit, I’d also suggest a walk along the river. When you head down from the church, just take the stairs on the left, it’s an easy way down.
Esra G — Google review
Well worth the visit. The Benedictines at this Monastery are doing everything right. The 10:30 Latin mass is so reverent. Recommend stopping in the museum, bookstore and gift shop. Don't forget to take a gander of the lovely views from the west wall.

Fun place to ride a bike to from the downtown. It’s around 10k one way, straight paved bike lane, no traffic lights, no steep climbs, 99% paved and very picturesque. When you get there you can get fresh caught grilled fish Fri-Sun. Chill vibe, some tourists, mainly locals who biked there, some cars as well You can walk around the abbey and get a boat ride for fun

Such a beautiful place. If you want take a photo of the full view of the structure you have to go to the other side of the river.

Castle
Wawel Castle is a must-visit in Krakow, offering a rich historical experience. The State rooms and Royal apartments provide insight into the castle's past, while the Crown Treasury holds valuable artifacts. Despite some areas being affected by fire, they still hold historical significance. Visitors can explore the castle undercroft for free on Monday mornings, featuring Ottoman tents and an armor exhibition. The castle also offers stunning views of the river and city.

Arch S — Google review

Wawel Castle is one of Kraków’s most iconic sights - and for good reason. The entire area around the castle is beautiful to explore on foot, with lovely paths, stunning views over the river, and impressive architecture everywhere you look. You can see and enjoy a lot even without buying a ticket - walking around the courtyards and outer grounds is already a great experience. 👍🏼
Mariam A — Google review

House of Attractions in Krakow offers a variety of entertaining experiences for visitors of all ages. The venue features diverse attractions such as a mirror maze, butterfly house, infinity room, upside down room, laser maze, and 7D cinema. Visitors can expect friendly staff who provide helpful information in English and ensure a safe environment.
Had read a few reviews saying this isn't really for adults, but have to disagree. Me and my husband (both 50-somethings) bought the 14 attractions package and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Found them good value for money. The only downside was that we purchased our tickets online (10% discount), but didn't receive the QR code by email. Not a huge problem though, because we just showed our confirmation email to gain entry. Definitely recommend if you have an inner child !

Worth a look for a laugh but don't expect top attraction. It's all a gimmick and light hearted entertainment, did I regret paying? No, it's all a bit of fun and something different to free up spare time whilst in the city centre, expect to laugh at the quality.
Callum M — Google review
Me and my fiance went in on a Sunday as needed a few hours to kill and the weather wasn't the best. In the first place we did 7D cinema - very low budget and I we didn't enjoy it at all, then we had VR session - that was pretty cool, the next few rooms were again low budget and not as enjoyable. The staff looked very confused and wasn't very helpful. They should really wear some sort of indication that they do in fact work there. The room with butterflies, birds and rabbits was our favourite! Probably one of the few things I could recommend. Both staff in that building were friendly and the woman in the butterfly room had a big knoledge and new interesting facts. Overall, the whole thing is pretty poorly organised and you need to be walking to different buildings to do the rest of rooms which is fine if the staff could tell you where to go next!
Magdalena D — Google review
Horrid place. Looks completely abandoned, smells like hell. 7d cinema made me feel like I was going to die. The chairs just throw you around, very painful. Vr was okay. Ribbon maze nearly choked me, literally just walking in circles hitting buttons. Lazer maze was awful, smelled like rotting meat, buttons didn't work. Upside down house was underwhelming. Favourite part was looking at pigeons.
Izzy G — Google review
This is a tourist trap and a straight up scam. They talk you into paying an exorbitant amount for allegedly 16 exhibitions, but only 2-3 are worth any money at all. You have to go on a scavenger hunt around the city to find the other attractions (they’re at at least 4 different locations and the staff are unable to tell you how to get to the other ones). They are extremely disappointing. Cheap VR games you could play at home for free, all of the interactive games we played were completely broken and unsanitary and staff offered no refunds for nothing working. They’re keeping bunnies butterflies and birds in completely inhumane conditions. Someone who lives in this country needs to call and report this to whatever type of animal control is available, it was extremely sad and upsetting to see.
Alicia T — Google review
It is a realy nice place with a lot of fun to do. I had a lot of fun in the mirror maze, its nice beacuse you have to wear gloves and the mirrors are not dirty. The movie 7d movie is realy fun and the vr too. The only thing they could explain the vr better how to use.

Very nice attraction: easy and cute, my 11 years girl very much enjoyed: the opposite room : making pictures; and laser room is good, and the movie was very good too. Recommend as a light entertainment.. for half hour each place. We bought combi ticket for all attractions. Every day we went to another place. All of them in a radius of 500 meters. The adults can enjoy too

A bit tricky to find — you have to enter the business center and take the elevator up. Once you get there, there’s a large outdoor terrace, but since we visited in November, we sat inside. We would love to write something complex and elaborate our experience, but we can't find right words for this - Americans would probably call the food awesome, but that is still not enough. You just have to visit this place to understand! It's a little bit hidden away, so unless you know where are you going, you might miss this place - that makes it even better as it is not crowded by tourists like us 😆 Thank you for this lovely experience.

The restaurant with the most beautiful view on Krakow from it's terrace. It's located on the last floor of the building called HERBEWO. It used to be a factory of cigarette paper there until 1948. During warm seasons you can enjoy eating on the terrace. There are plenty of plants and flowers, the view on the old city of Krakow is absolutely stunning, especially during the golden hour. You can see Mariacki Cathedral, Wawel castle, old streets, you can even spot Polish Tatras. The menu has a lot of different options, also vege, good cocktails. Very tasty chocolate fondant 👍

We came for forum breakfast on Saturday morning, but it was all closed for renovation, and we decided to explore the Panorama offer. I liked the idea of the interior, it is split in two parts where one part is a cigar club and the second is some tropical vibes. The food , our two breakfasts were almost the tastiest breakfast in Krakow for a long time. The service was great, the waiter speaks very nice English and very attentive host. And of course, the view on a sunny morning was incredible and refreshing. We will come back for some dinner options soon to try it out at the evening.

We have had just an amazing dinner on the rooftop! The service was very caring and the food was …. It was ok, the combination of tastes wasn’t common.

The food was great. The view from the terrace is amazing and totally worth the visit. Although, if you want to sit outside, reservation is a must. What I did not enjoy was a service, that was strange. They almost did not notice me walk in, then it seemed like they were confused and surprised that I want a table. Then it took 3+ people to finally find me non-reserved table even though not all of them had a reserved tag. After theat it took again 2 different waiters to finally figure out that I did not make my order and no, I don't have a menu yet (nevertheless to all those people before helping me find the table), then it took some time to order, and then it seemed quite a long wait, until I finally got my meal. Overall: reservation is a must, but they need to have a better script to sit down a person who hasn't made one, it's not against the law to want to walk into the restaurant and have a meal there. 😉

Positives: The restaurant has a generous number of tables, ensuring you'll likely find a place to sit, even during busy periods. Tasty Food: The dishes we tried were enjoyable. Pleasant Service: The staff were generally friendly and attentive. Negatives: Accessibility Issues: The restaurant is unfortunately not very accessible for people with strollers or wheelchairs. Navigating the entrance and reaching the dining area involves several steps and may require assistance. Long Wait Times: We experienced an unusually long wait time for our breakfast order (1 hour 10 minutes), which was disappointing.

Lorf Hostel&Coffee is a pet-friendly 2-star accommodation conveniently located within walking distance of Wawel Royal Castle and Kazmierz The Former Jewish District. Guests have had mixed experiences, with some praising the peaceful environment while others encountered disturbances. Despite this, the staff were responsive and attentive to safety concerns. The hostel's central location in Krakow makes it convenient for exploring the city, and guests appreciated the affordable room rates without compromising on quality service.
Passable and great value for a short stay. I spent there three nights in May. Staff is available 0-24 via WhatsApp which was really helpful given the fact that I arrived at 1.00 am and they were online to assist me with getting in. Bed was comfortable, I managed to get good sleep even though I am very sensitive to every single move or even small noise. You can rent a towel and meals can be purchased. Location is great, just a 10 minutes of walk from the main square.

Nice place and location is great BUT there are only 2 showers that work in the hostel for lots of people. There are only 2 bathrooms for everyone also. The bathrooms are also not split between male and female so as solo female travellers it can be daunting. Also the rooms do not lock which is fine but again as female travellers again is scary! Would stay here again if needed to!

I don t really recomand it, i booked a room for 2, and for that money, was terrible, very small room, with less than 0,5m on a side of the bed, no table/closet, nothing, you can barely walk 2 person on the same time. I d say it was dirty and not pleasant. The location it s good
Emilia O — Google review
Good because they could have us last minute during the weekend of 15/08, when every possible hotel or airbnb in Krakow was fully booked (we called 34 places). Less good because even though it was a comfortable stay and we had our own room, we shared the bathroom and kitchen, which is totally fine in a hostel, but you don't make people pay €237,55 for that for one night.
Vinciane — Google review
It was OK. Close to everything. We had a doubleroom with bathroom. Small room, but it was OK. The entrance was a little difficult, special with suitcases, out of the hotel and down a very steep metal stairs into some kind of a backyard, and up a very steep stair to the room. No air conditioning so was pretty hot. And was ants in the bathroom. I don't think I would stay there again, but it was OK, all we did were sleep there anyway. 😊

We needed a room after an overnight bus arrival in Krakow at 6am. I contacted Loft and they said to just book the night before and request a late checkout at 1pm. I did this and got all the check in details in advance of our arrival. I didn't read them very well but was able to contact staff via WhatsApp at 6am on the day to clarify my confusion. We then were able to check in to the apartment around the corner without issue. The apartment was basic but perfect for what we needed. The place gets really bad reviews but I thought it was clean and comfortable and check in process was fine.
Lady T — Google review
The room was comfy but there are some smell from the bedsheets. Checkin process was smooth. My flight was 2 hour delayed and I got to my room around 3:30 am. I informed to the hostel via whatsapp for late night checkin so it went well. Room was overall good with this price.
Thinzar S — Google review
The place is quite (not too crowded), not far from the inner city, bus and train station. As a person who is using hijab. I feel really comfortable to choose share room with other women with bunk bed. They provide a new clean bed, blanket and pillow cover. The hostel have a loker for back pack and small bag. It also has kitchen. The bathroom and toilet are clean. We can find easily the toilet paper. Everything is acceptable and not too expensive. The hostel wifi is fast.

Hostel Deco is a stylish and art deco-inspired accommodation offering colorful dorms and private rooms. The interior boasts a balance of black-and-white furnishings, pops of color, plush sofas, and retro beds with a vintage edge, exuding charm. Guests can opt for private rooms accommodating up to four people or choose from dorms in various capacities. The hostel has undergone significant improvements during the pandemic, with enhanced cleanliness and brighter spaces.
The hostel is exactly as described. Very clean and organized, with the bathroom and kitchen always spotless. The reception is 24/7, and there is always someone available to assist when needed. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from the historic center and close to supermarkets and great restaurants. The cost-benefit ratio is great, everything is in line with expectations. Thank you for the experience.

honestly everything is great. If you need to stay here no longer than a few days I'd definitely recommend! For me though, the showers you are unable to take off the walls and that are on a timer make showering pretty annoying. The water pressure is so high it honestly hurts sometimes. The walls are also very thin, so you hear everything your neighbours are doing and saying. It's an OK place to stay, would stay again.
Nori N — Google review
I was there with students. And thus we were given breakfast in paper bags. My bag clearly said diabetic. And still, it had an apple in it. The gluten free meal had extra bread sticks in it and so on.
Daniel H — Google review
The place is not bad. But I am forced to give you this bad review because for 2 days in a row they had really loud construction noises from 6:00am, right next to my private room window (drilling, and even whistling..). They were supposed to start from 9:00am, as the receptionist told me, but they didnt care and disobeyed the rules starting at 6:00am anyway, even though she told them not to…she also said that no compensation was allowed..
Eduardo A — Google review
A little gem, unique art deco style. Basic but very clean, modern bathrooms with hot showers. Good for a base and only 10 mins to walk to the centre (old town).
S 2 — Google review
Affordable room if you want a cheaper place to crash. Since the hostel is next to the main road, it's difficult to sleep at night. Some receptionists were sweet but some were rude. The washroom and kitchen are clean and decent.
Kajal K — Google review
The hostel is in a convenient place, relatively close to the city center, but at night it is loud so you will most likely have to sleep with closed windows. The rooms are okay, the beds are a little too easy to "customize" (take apart). The toilets are good, but the shower's pressure is way too high. They gave us breakfast and dinner every day, the taste was OK but there were two instances of hair in our food. The walls and doors were really thin so you could hear everything.

Aparthotel Best View in Krakow offers a delightful stay just a short distance from key attractions like the Corpus Christi Church and Wawel Royal Castle. This modern establishment features well-appointed apartments that are both clean and spacious, providing guests with a comfortable retreat after exploring the vibrant city. The location is ideal, only a 10-minute stroll to the city center or a quick 3-minute walk to the riverside, making it easy to discover nearby restaurants and local culture.
We had a fantastic three night stay at this apartment hotel in Kraków! The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to the Old Town and Main Square, making it easy to explore the city’s main attractions. There were several food establishments under five minutes away, including bakeries, kebabs and Asian restaurants. Being directly above two supermarkets was a huge convenience, and we felt completely safe in the area. The rooms were spotless and equipped with modern, high-tech amenities. Each room had its own TV, and the kitchen and entertainment facilities were excellent, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The reception staff were wonderful—polite, attentive, and quick to handle any requests we had, which really enhanced our experience. Overall, the value for money here was exceptional. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Kraków!

Great rooms very well furnished to a high level. I would suggest getting the mezzanine rooms (310) if you are going with older children as this gives you more space. Some of the rooms have no windows just skylights but personally I wouldn't mind this, although some in our group did. No bar, but excellent breakfast bar called liberty's close by and hotel adjacent has bar for evenings. Also there is a very late opening supermarket attached to aparthotel. I would stay again- either in 2 rooms or the one big one !

Can't recommend this hotel enough. Staff were so helpful and organised taxis for us for trips. Rooms were beautiful and clean. Location is perfect. You can be in the castle or the centre in 10 minutes. Will definitely be staying again on our next trip to krakow

Dirty room with bed bugs, we had to leave immediately Our room was dirty and, to our horror, we found bed bugs. We immediately decided to leave and change hotels. The experience was extremely unpleasant and unacceptable for any accommodation. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I normally wouldn't bother writing a review, but in this case, we received no compensation.

Shalom Kazimierz is a charming hotel located in the heart of the eclectic Jewish district of Kazimierz. The hotel offers straightforward rooms, some with balconies, and stands out for its quality service despite its affordable prices. It is situated further away from the city center but boasts an excellent location close to major attractions. Guests have praised the clean, comfortable, and well-equipped rooms as well as the helpful and friendly staff.
Amazing room! So clean everyday, 20 minute walk from the main square which has plenty of stuff to see and do on the way. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting.
James R — Google review
I loved this hotel. It was really central so you could easy walk to any of the major sites or jump on a tram. There was a festival a street over when we were there and even with the windows open couldn't hear anything. The staff give you codes to get in and into your room via whatsapp, which means you don't waste time standing around to check in. You also get breakfast at the cafe next door which is so much nicer than a buffet.
Sabrina — Google review
This is a decent budget hotel and the location is really good - in the heart of Kazimierz (my fav part of Kraków) and close to every kind of transport. If you don't mind walking a bit, you get to the old town square in about 15 - 20 minutes. The hotel has a self check-in, so I did only meet the cleaning ladies who were warm and friendly. Check-in was really easy (first I got the numeric code to open the doors, then found a magnetic card in my room, no fuzz at all). I would suggest to book a standard apartment instead of economy if you prefer more space. My room was really big, the bathroom was big enough and had a good water pressure with better shower head than most cheap hotels. I found free toiletries that were replaced when I ran out. I also found bottled water, teabags, instant coffee, the kettle and I think there was a fridge although I did not need it. The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. The only minor issue: the stairs are old and worn out, so if you have slight mobility issues you should ask for a room on the lower floor. As I knew about this issue beforehand, so I did. If you like really quiet environment, then you should maybe look for another area as there are lots of bars and restaurants around, so there are loud noises late at night when the party people are going home.
Katrin P — Google review
A good value hotel, with rooms made up every day & clean towels. The location is fantastic, being right in the middle of the Jewish quarter with many traditional Polish restaurants & bars to choose from. All tourist attractions are within 30mins walking distance. This is a decent hotel @ a good price.
Ian M — Google review
The room was absolutely excellent, very clean, and incredibly affordable/great value for money. The neighbourhood is a major plus; it was peaceful and quiet at all hours of the day and night. The location is fantastic, only a 20-minute walk to the city centre. The surrounding area was vibrant, featuring many great bars and restaurants, as well as a beautiful square where we found some delicious traditional street food. I highly recommend this place!"
Chalikias C — Google review
We stayed at Shalom Kazmierz for three nights in the heart of Kazimierz. Our room was small, but keep in mind we booked the economy room so that was inevitable. The room was very clean, with the exception of the kettle which just needs a descaling. The bathroom and bedroom were spotless though. The cleaning staff are definitley meticulous. The building the room is in is also charming with a beautiful staircase which looks like it's part of the building's original structure. Staff are also very kind over Whatsapp, providing all the nessecary check in information. I personally love self check ins. When I'm arriving after a long travel, I don't want anyone to see me until I've had a shower. The only feedback I have is the volume of the cleaning staff in the mornings. We unfortunately couldn't sleep in late in the mornings due to the cleaning team, who were usually yelling at each other in the corridor or in the other rooms. That is the only reason I'm marking this place a 4 instead of a 5, but I would absolutely come back!
Dan I — Google review
This is a budget hotel so I guess this needs to be taken into account. But I have to say I was disappointed. The phots of the rooms in the website are misleading - showing spacious and well-lit rooms. Mine was dingy and run-down. They show people apparently eating breakfast which gives the impression the hotel does food. It doesn’t. If you’ve booked breakfast you take a voucher to the cafe next door. This is nice enough but provides one drink - if you want tea/coffee and juice there’s an extra charge. The service is rather grumpy too. There’s no reception and rooms are not maintained- beds are not made, towels replaced or bins emptied. It’s really more AB&B than hotel.
Larry J — Google review
This hotel was fine for what it was, totally misadvertised though. The reception wasn't manned, had to call for a code to access the front door and room door. Had none of the amenities it was meant to, no dining room, bar or room service which would have been nice as it was our anniversary

If you're looking for a stylish and cozy place to stay in Krakow, this is it! I stayed here during my conference and couldn’t have been more impressed. The atmosphere was beautifully designed and had such a welcoming, comfortable vibe, making it feel like a home away from home. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, which added to the overall experience. Whether you're in the city for business or leisure, I can’t recommend this place enough! It’s a hidden gem that I’d return to in a heartbeat. Highly recommended! :) P. S. Please note that the elevator is super tiny and it’s like 200 years old so most probably you’ll need to use the stairs.

Just far enough away not to have sleep disrupted at night. Highly recommend booking here. You won’t be disappointed.

Unfortunately we missed our flight due to chaos at the airport. These lovely people were very sympathetic and promised to try to resell the room (which they did not have to do under the policy) and gave us a partial refund. The communication from them since we booked has been excellent and we will definitely stay with them when we do eventually visit Krakow !

We spend 2 weeks in Krakow Poland and stayed at Avanti. We have stayed in many apartments before because we travel a lot. This is the best apartment we stayed in. The owner is a lovely lady and very helpful. We had a problem with the cooker , just different to what we were used to. One thing we missed was a microwave, just for heating a cup of tea or coffee. The apartment is beautiful, better than in the pictures. This apartment is class if you are lucky if they have a vacancy. Big thanks Brid and Uli Stanke

A few days ago I returned together with a group of eighteen students from the Gymnasium in Rokycany, Czech Republic, aged 16-18 from a five-day study stay in Krakow, Poland. During the whole stay we had the great honour to live in the AVANTI HOME apartments in Karmelitská Street. Anyone who has travelled with such a large group of students knows how difficult it is to find accommodation. Groups of teenage students are very reluctant to be accommodated by the owners of the hotel. And it doesn't matter if you are looking for accommodation in Krakow, Prague, Budapest, Vienna or Nuremberg. In AVANTI HOME it was completely different. The owners of these beautiful apartments, Iza and Lukasz, treated us like family friends from the very first contact. For what we considered a friendly price, they booked us the apartments we wanted, advised us on the details of our study stay, and recommended a reliable Krakow guide. Our stay itself then exceeded all expectations. The students really appreciated the accommodation in the apartments and all of them confirmed that they had never stayed in such a great hotel for a school event before. AVANTI HOME is a real tourist pearl hidden at the end of Karmelitska Street. Modern, superbly landscaped, thoughtfully equipped with everything you need and almost sterile clean apartments inside a historic house. A house standing in the very centre of the city, from where you can easily get absolutely anywhere, either on foot or by public transport. You can walk to the bus stop that will take you to Wawel Castle or to the salt mine in Wieliczka in 5 minutes. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the old town. I had the opportunity to travel almost the whole world in my life. I have stayed in many hotels including branded hotels that boast 5 stars. I am not afraid to say that AVANTI HOME apartments are equal to 5 star hotels in terms of comfort, amenities and impeccable cleanliness. And what makes AVANTI HOME unique? The many small, unobtrusive details that show that the owners want you to feel at home during your stay. And staying with someone who considers you their friends from the start is endlessly enjoyable. Thank you very much, Iza and Lukasz. On behalf of myself and my enthusiastic students.

More like Disgrace apartments. 0 stars really, awful customer service. We showed up by the door 2h too early, been asked to come back at 3pm. Fair ask, no problem. Came back at 3, called the contact number, last says they been double booked and they don't have a room for us anymore. All that within two hours? Tried to find out what happened- she hunged up on me within explanation!!!! Called multiple times from two different numbers- no answer. Called from my partner's phone, she answered and was ANNOYED WITH ME!!! The audacity was through the roof. We were kicked to the curb in middle of the season, horrific! Contacted Expedia- they knew nothing about any changes to my reservation. Expedia person tried to call her- no answer. She clearly knew why they are ringing. Absolut disgrace to the hospitality sector! Joke's on you though, Expedia covered us for a much nicer place after giving us a proper care. AVOID AT ALL COST

Was a good place to stay. Very close to the shopping mall. No lifts so you have to walk up the stairs and it's on the second floor. No wheelchair accessibility. Very clean and affordable but The room is very small, it is pictured quite bigger than what it actually is so there isn't much space and no wardrobe or closet. Also no microwave in the room and the fridge was turned off which made the place smell a bit weird.

I would give this apartment 3 C's,compact, clean and convenient. It may be small but it does the job for a 3 or 4 night stay, only 5 min walk to main square, thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! this apartment is a shambles! While looking online this looks like a lovely place to stay however in reality when you walk into your room you have paid £150 for you will find a broken bed that is held together with bright orange duck tap! Dirty bedding a toilet that isn't attached to a wall and someone's hair matted into your towel! There is Mark's on the wall and the light fitting are coming away from the wall. Dont try and plug your charger into the outlet as it crackles and only works when you wobble it into place but then your bedside light will go out due to the bad wiring! If this has not put you off so far please make sure you pack plenty of warm cloths if your travelling to Kraków when it's cold as the heating system doesnt work! When contacting the person who runs the place to see if we could change rooms we was told you have what you paid for! By all means of you want to get rid of someone you dis-like for a few days this will be at hit if you value your self worth I wouldn't even touch this place with a 10 foot barge pole riddled in gonorrhea.

Unfortunately, everything remained at a standstill like a window in winter without a handle. Despite several emails and phone calls, I received a quote – incomplete, without installation! Only on June 25. And here begins the best part: Mr. Leszek Wirski, who "serves" me, wrote in this quote that the installation would be determined after determining the scope of installation work. Except that the scope had already been determined... a month ago. With a person who was physically at my place, measuring, checking and taking notes. It seems that the problem is not with the measurement, but with processing the information. If someone does not care about time, nerves or knowing where they stand – I recommend them. Beautiful windows and doors, perfectly packed and delivered. Medal-winning assembly team. In 2 days they replaced windows and doors in my entire house without damaging ANYTHING. No losses during installation, although I was very afraid because our house is in the Canadian style. Plastering was done immediately and everything was left clean and without any holes. We only had to paint it. I recommend this company and these wonderful windows to everyone. They are perfect. (Original) Firma i obsługa na najwyższym poziomie. Kontakt fachowy i konkretny. Czas oczekiwania tak jak powiedziano na wstępie 5 tygodni. Okna i drzwi piękne idealnie zapakowane i dostarczone. Grupa monterska na medal. W 2 dni wymienili mi okna i drzwi w całym domu nie niszcząc NIC. Żadnych strat przy montażu choć bardzo się bałam bo nasz dom jest w stylu kanadyjskim. Zrobione zaraz obróbki tynkarskie i wszystko zostawione posprzątane i bez żadnych dziur. Tylko podmalowanie nam zostało. Polecam każdemu tą firmę i te wspaniałe okna. Są idealne.

(Translated by Google) I highly recommend Vidok! I ordered aluminum windows and patio doors for a newly built house – the workmanship was top-notch. Everything was solid, airtight, and aesthetically pleasing. Excellent communication with the sales consultant, who helped me choose the optimal solutions for thermal insulation and acoustics. The installation was efficient and clean, and the team was punctual and professional. It's clear this is a company with experience and a modern approach. A bonus is their punctuality and competitive pricing. I will definitely be using them again for future projects. (Original) Bardzo polecam firmę Vidok! Świetny kontakt z doradcą handlowym, który pomógł dobrać optymalne rozwiązania pod kątem termoizolacji i akustyki. Montaż przebiegł sprawnie i czysto, ekipa punktualna i profesjonalna. (Translated by Google) A very nice place where you can sit in peace, think and read. There is a music school under the restobar, so the place has the character of a canteen in a very pleasant place. The food here is okay, the prices are the same. I highly recommend going out to the observation deck and, if the temperature is not too high, ordering a delicious warming tea with a croissant :) (Original) Bardzo przyjemne miejsce, gdzie można w spokoju posiedzieć, pomyśleć, poczytać.

(Translated by Google) I was there twice with my girlfriend, the first time we had spaghetti carbonara which was barely lukewarm and for the girl we had some chicken which was tasty, the temperature of the chicken was fine. After about a month, my girlfriend and I decided that we would go again to see if anything had changed. What a surprise when an old lady approached the table, gave her cards and said "she takes orders at the counter, because it's more of a bar than a restaurant." I think it was the owner's wife, but the bottom line is the approach to the customer. The girl wanted to order a chicken leg in sauce with smoked plums from the menu, if my memory serves me right, so did I. It turned out that this dish was not available at the moment, so the lady suggested a cutlet with salads and fries. The girl said yes, and I ordered a classic burger. I don't understand what's the point of including a dish on the menu that isn't available, especially since the menu changes all the time. The dishes arrived, the cutlet was nice and tasty, and a rather large bouquet of salads was also large and tasty, and the fries were tasty. The burger was a tasty bun, the vegetables were ok, but the meat was too thick, too small and done like McDonald's. Half of the burger had no meat left, so I ate only the bun with vegetables and sauce. The restaurant/bar I don't know anymore :) quite large, but the toilet leaves much to be desired. Summary of restaurant prices bar service portions quite large is it tasty? "well, I would say average, yes, average" will I come back here again?

(Translated by Google) I regret to say that we will not see each other again. Where do such positive opinions come from? Broth of unknown origin, Chinese soup would be better. Pork chop with potatoes and salad, you can't go wrong here. The pulled pork burger is sweet as hell. The portions are large and the ingredients are fresh, but so what. Additionally, for the set of the day, a hamburger, water with juice (it definitely wasn't lemonade) and zero beer PLN 124??? I feel cheated and generally do not recommend it.
