Restauracja U Babci Maliny offers a cozy and authentic dining experience with a nostalgic old-world atmosphere in Krakow. Situated opposite the city's main theatre, this charming restaurant exudes the feeling of stepping into a grandmother's Polish kitchen. The menu features delicious Polish and European dishes, including homemade schnitzel and potato pancakes. The rustic basement setting adds to the enchanting ambiance, making it a must-visit for those seeking traditional flavors.
There’s no way this restaurant is a 4.1! I came here in 2019 while on my stag do with friends. It was fantastic. Just bought my wife on a 5 day break and it was again wonderful. Came in here twice and had the sirloin steak. This was a really big tasty piece of beef that was basically like a fillet. The potato’s and the pickles and stuff all went with the beef really well. I do think some other customers (Americans) were overly critical of the waiters because they expect perfect English. It is Poland! Ignore the star rating, you will really enjoy it. They have a fantastic piano player playing too in the evenings. Bravo! Will be back when we come to Krakow again.
Christopher B — Google review
We have been there for dinner. Generally busy after 19:00. The restaurant decor is authentic. We tasted dumpling and Schnitzel. Personally prefer the boiled one, instead fried one is served. Prices are completely touristic. Same taste can be found easily.
Huseyin Y — Google review
There was a time, back when Kraków’s culinary secrets lived in basements and not on influencer reels, when Babcia Malina meant something. The original location, tucked under PAN, was a local legend, no frescoes, no piano, just honest food and the quiet thrill of beating the system with a plate of pierogi. Now, it’s a different basement, and a different beast. The décor is undeniably charming, wallpapered walls, surprisingly elegant frescoes, and yes, a live piano that adds a touch of salon flair to your dumpling detour. But the food? It’s not great. It’s not even “fine.” It’s passable. The kind of meal that fills the stomach but leaves the soul untouched, like someone read about Polish cuisine in a textbook and decided to recreate it with a microwave and a Pinterest board. Service is polite, prices are inflated, and the ambiance is curated for tourists who want a taste of “authenticity” without the risk of encountering an actual babcia wielding a ladle and opinions. I miss the old Malina, the one that felt like a secret, not a set piece. This version is pretty, polished, and perfectly forgettable.

Food was amazing, tastes like real homemade food during my childhood. Environment was really enjoyable and warm. Also, the waiter recommended us a soap that was incredible.

Really friendly place ! We went there our first night in Krakow and we will repeat tomorrow before we leave , super cozy atmosphere! The service was a bit slow in the beginning but the food was great ! * The mushroom soup was top !!!

Gorgeous restaurant, the stunningly decorated. We ate in a private 2 people boot (didn't book in advance). Amazing food, really generous portions (we both left a pierogi) and everything tasted amazing. The server was also very nice and attentive. Really competitive prices (21£ each for 2 courses each plus water). Would definitely come back.

Pierogis were amazing, great quality food. The decor is mind blowing and quite nostalgic. Prices are decent. One of the best restaurants we visited in Krakow!

Kuchnia u Doroty is a charming restaurant in Krakow, known for its traditional Polish cuisine and rustic ambiance. It has gained a strong reputation among locals and visitors alike. The menu features classic dishes such as pierogi, beef goulash, potato pancakes, roast pork, beef stroganoff, Polish sausage, and traditional soups like beetroot and dumpling soup. The relaxed atmosphere and stripped-back decor add to the dining experience.
One of the culinary highlights of our five nights in Krakow! We came here on a whim for my birthday, and it did not disappoint. No, they don’t take reservations, and yes, you’ll likely have to wait a little while. It’s worth it for the delicious, home-cooked and comforting Polish food they serve. Can’t remember the exact names of what we ordered (it’s all on the receipt in the photo!), but we had a beet-based soup, kielbasa, stuffed cabbage, schnitzel with potato dumplings, trio of salads, an apple pie, cheesecake, and the most delicious 0% Polish beer. All of it was so good and so filling, we had to package some of it up to take home! Our waitress was incredible kind, and even put a candle in my cake. Not fancy or pretentious, extremely reasonable prices, and solid food. Highly recommend.

5/5 all across the board: Perfect food, varied menu of all Polish classics delivered swiftly and so, so good. Wide offering of beers, good seasonal specials. The service is super direct, friendly and effective. You can wait out front if it’s full, and they give you reasonable and honest waiting estimations. I would recommend reserving if possible. We had a slight mistake in our order but they set it right immediately and without hassle. There are children’s seats available is you need them.
Stefan B — Google review
Very good Polish home-type food. Giving the food five stars because while it could maybe be even better, the price/quality ratio is extremely hard to beat. Service was good for the most part, they just forgot one drink and we had to wait a bit for the main. Cute inside.

I was there in January, my first visit to Krakow but it won’t be the last time. I literally have fallen in love with this city. I just had a dinner here by accident, turned out great accident. The atmosphere was amazing, polish authentic. Food was tasty too. We ordered different dishes and all of them were delicious. The ladies which worked there were very nice and friendly. Love them. I definitely will be going back there soon and recommend them to everyone.
Niloofar B — Google review
Very nice restaurant and polite staff. Food was amazingly taste and big portions. Absolutely one of the best Polish restaurant.

The place is a cozy nook where locals go to eat at a very affordable prices and a reliable service. I was pleasantly impressed by the atmosphere and the waitress understood English very well and the food was good! Highly recommend if you want an authentic experience

What a discovery! On August 30, 2025, we had our first meal here and were so impressed. They use local, fresh ingredients to create a wide variety of delicious, traditional Polish dishes. The atmosphere is wonderful, too.

Pierogi MR Vincent is a charming pierogi restaurant located in Kazimierz, Krakow, with interiors inspired by Vincent Van Gough. The menu offers a wide variety of classic, vegetarian, and innovative pierogi options. Customers love the Christmas Eve pierogi with cabbage and mushrooms as well as the beef curry dumplings. For dessert, there are sweet pierogi with cottage cheese and vanilla. The compact yet soft dough is a standout feature of their delicious offerings.
Out of the 3 restaurants we tried in Krakow, hands down this had the best pierogis! We ordered the Ox with Umbrella which has Beef, Onion and Mushroom. The flavor of the meat was really tasty, the pierogi dough was nice because it was quite thin, some other places give you a ton of dough and not enough filling. We also got the Fried Onion Sauce which I think made a huge difference. We also got Zurek Soup which was nice too. Overall amazing place, quick service but also to not it's a bit small, about 7 tables total. Also it is possible to pay by cash or card.
Josh B — Google review
Cute little spot for homemade and fresh perogies. It is tiny so there might be a wait and you have to wait outside. It is brightly colored inside with lots of Van Gogh paintings and prints. I had the mushroom perogies with bacon and sour cream. I also tried the chorizo. Both were great and filling. Everything was tasty. Service was direct but friendly.
L S — Google review
Absolutely loved it here. My first try of Pierogi and i loved it. We walked in off the street, got a table straight away. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Food came quite quickly and was absolutely delicious. The place its self was small and cosy and quirky. Hope to go back before I go home.
Mr. B — Google review
Good variety of Pierogi in the heart of Krakow. They don’t take reservation. Could be quite busy and be prepared for a short queue. Service was alright but don’t expect to be super attentive.
Rachel A — Google review
Small place, big payoff. We stopped by Pierogi Mr Vincent on a Saturday night and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table (they don’t take reservations), but it was totally worth it. The place only seats around 20 people, so you just hang outside until something opens up. Once inside, the vibe is great—there’s a fun Vincent van Gogh theme throughout, with his art on the walls and little nods to him in the decor. It gives the place a cozy, creative feel without trying too hard. I ordered the Vincent pierogi—filled with beef, chorizo, and onion—and they were seriously good. You get ten on a plate, which was more than enough for a solid meal. We added three sauces: spicy mayo, sour cream, and one with pork rinds that actually came on top of the pierogi. The sour cream was just basic, but the spicy mayo and pork rind one were great and added a lot of flavor. Prices were fair, service was quick and friendly, and the whole experience just worked. Would definitely go back. Just maybe don’t show up starving—be ready to wait a bit and enjoy the quirky vibe while you do.
Michael B — Google review
I’ve spent 2 weeks traveling through 4 cities in Poland and these are the best pierogi I’ve had. I thoroughly enjoyed the Pielmieni option with beef, pork, onion, and garlic. The dough was perfect. The service was friendly and the ambiance was great with all the Van Gogh artwork. I highly recommend coming here and will absolutely be back next time I’m in Kraków.
Rick R — Google review
Very happy we found this place. The pierogi were delicious and very filling. It had just the correct amount of dough and the meat was very soft. We did not take soup but they looked good as well. The place has a nice deco and cozy atmosphere. Perfect for lunch with a good beer. Enjoy.
Alex G — Google review
First time in Kraków, and first thing i did was straight ahead with this one. Everything was absolutely amazing. I tried the croquette and piemieni pierogi. These are well seasoning especially the croquette: layer's crunchy, stuffed was good🫶. Btw, the service was so niccee (p/s : the kasa's girl with the BMO tatoo, you gonna love her energy). +1 for my list 🙌

Housed in a beautifully restored 13th-century building, the restaurant features distinct dining rooms with elegant interiors and a cozy courtyard garden. Known for its marinated grilled meats cooked over beech fire and other Polish classics like pierogi and zurek, Pod Aniołami provides a contemporary twist on authentic dishes.
Chose this to sample traditional Polish food and we weren’t disappointed. A beautiful restaurant with a fabulous menu. We had the tasting menu and the portions were huge, well presented and so tasty. The pork was so tender and cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when we were choosing the wine! They even provided a chair for my handbag! Great atmosphere and I would definitely return.

Lovely atmosphere for lunch, and delicious meal. We tasted several specialties (the wild board, the deer, the duck and the bigos), and the dumplings samplings. Everything was really very good and well presented. There were kids menu too. Highly recommended.
Juanita P — Google review
Ate in this special restaurant one week ago, and in the first minute we entered, we got struck by an amazing atmosphere, like going back in time. The restaurant has an amazing interior design, the service was perfect, and the food...oh, the food was excellent. We had a plate of the Old-Polish Bigos, and one of Anielska Maczanka, both accompanied by a good local red wine we took following the waiter recommendation. It was just perfect!!!
Zohar B — Google review
Pod Aniołami is an exceptional dining experience! The restaurant exudes elegance and sophistication, creating an atmosphere that is both warm and refined. The food is absolutely outstanding — I had the duck, which was by far the best I’ve ever tasted, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Negroni cocktail was a masterpiece, crafted with the finest gin and balanced beautifully. The vibes inside are unique and inviting, making it a truly memorable experience. We even brought our 8-month-old baby, who seemed to enjoy the ambiance as much as we did. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-tier cuisine and an unforgettable dining experience in Kraków. After our meal we were treated to a mini shot of “miętowa” which is mint vodka. It’s deliciously smooth and goes down very nicely. That was a very nice touch.
Martin M — Google review
It had been a long time since I've been to a place where the service was attentive and friendly as this. The food came out fast and was very delicious, and they also offered us a complimentary mint vodka which was the perfect way to end a nice meal. This place is probably catered to tourists since the prices are high, but it was definitely worth it.

This restaurant is truly excellent! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is outstanding — the waiters are attentive, kind, and very professional. I’d just recommend booking a few days in advance to make sure you get a table, because it’s really worth it. A unique and rare experience — if you’re in Krakow, you absolutely have to try it!

Fantastic food and delicious polish wine. We had the traditional mixed selection of pierogi which were the best we’ve had so far in Poland. The wild boar steak and blood sausage were delicious! Highly recommend, a highlight of our trip.

Perfect. What else to say? Came in specially for the pirogi, and it was worth it! Such a delicate beautiful thing. Perfect balance, great dough. Just, every little bite... Wow. Expensive in relation to others, but my goddess - it is worth it!

The setting is adorned with plants, creating a green oasis for diners to enjoy their meal. Additionally, the wine menu boasts an impressive selection of biodynamic wines.
Our first meal in Krakow did not disappoint! We were looking for something off of the main square and found this gem. The inside is very cute and the food was great. The drinks were also quite delicious! My wife said the burger was the best she’s had in a long time. I personally loved the fried goat cheese salad (and the plating itself was gorgeous). We also shared the vegan plate that had a very tasty mushroom (I think) spread. So so good. 10/10 recommend.

Incredible restaurant all around, I loved all the food and cocktails. An great find. I got the pork ribs and the fish. Both cooked to perfection and delicious. The portions are decent. I also had the vegan appetizer which was very good as well. And under a cloud was such a wonderful cocktail.

From start to finish, our visit was superb. The food was incredibly tasty, and the whole dining experience was elevated by the outstanding service. The staff is wonderful—very friendly and professional, but the real highlight is how welcoming and kind they are to children. It truly makes a difference for families. The restaurant has a beautiful and cozy atmosphere, making it perfect for any occasion. We left feeling happy and well-cared for. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the wonderful team!

My husband and I were visiting the Jewish Quarter, Kazimierz, and wanted to have lunch at a typical Polish restaurant, and the menu initially intrigued us. When we entered, we were greeted by Dominique'sh kindness and professionalism. He seated us in a space suitable for my mobility needs and even suggested we avoid two plates of ravioli, as their portions are quite generous, and that's exactly what we were offered. The dishes were beautifully presented, with delicious and unexpected flavors. For example, my Caesar salad had a special touch, I assure you!!! Reading the reviews, we realized we were in one of the best restaurants in Krakow, and we can confirm it! Thank you, Dominique, we had a wonderful lunch!!!!!

Love it! Very enjoyable traditional Polish cuisine restaurant. Beautiful setting, insanely fast and attentive waiters. And, of course fantastic lineup of dishes. Soups in the bread-bowls, bigos, dumplings, home sausage, pork-chop, trout, beef tartar, appetizer plate - and lovely beer lineup. Yes, there was a lot of us and we tried everyone’s food. Highly recommended. Thank you!!

We stumbled into this place by chance since it is not that visible from outside. We were very pleasantly surprised! You have to pass through a passage but then you reach the place. The garden is very small with 2-3 tables but the restaurant proper is large two stories down. The service is polite and very quick. The menu is short and to the point, Polish traditional dishes-hearty and delicious. We had the zur soup and dumplings mix which were good but the true star of the menu are the ribs. They were tender and so well seasoned that one just doesn't want to stop even if you are full halfway through. Give this place a chance-it will be worth it!
Kalina K — Google review
My daughter was very impressed with her potato and cheese pierogi’s and her side of kraut. She talked about them the whole meal and even after she finished. She would like the chef to know that they were delicious. My meat golabki was fantastic and had amazing flavor. For someone that typically never goes back to the same restaurant on a trip, we already plan to come back. My daughter has decided that I will get a different dish each time and she will get her pierogis and we will split our meals. Thank you for a great dinner and atmosphere that my daughter also loved.
Megan M — Google review
Service was very slow, it took a fair amount of time for soups with bread to come out. I had the ribs which were very tender, but the flavour profile was not great. It had an overpowering taste of nutmeg / cinnamon which honestly tastes like I'm eating ribs topped with a chai latte sauce, and the presentation and way it was served was very lazy, whacked a bit slab with some potatoes and vegetables. The atmosphere was great and cozy, but we did hear and see multiple people complaining about the food coming out slow which made sense in the end.

The place that saved and me and my friends from starvation! I wish more places in Krakow were open till 11 in the evening! But let’s focus on food. Despite the long wait for the table the food was really worth it. I ordered sauerkraut pancakes with beef stew. The portion was very generous and the taste lived up to the expectations. Would love to come back on next occasion and try different dishes! As a retired hospitality worker I would advice the management to hire more people for the busy periods of time! Certainly! Here’s that review in English: ⸻ A very traditional Polish restaurant with a beautiful ambiance. It’s recommended to reserve a table in advance, as the place is quite popular. We personally loved the atmosphere, and the food was outstanding. It was hard to choose because everything on the menu looked delicious, but we eventually went for the bigos, which was simply perfect. We’ve rarely had a better dish, and we’d go back anytime. If you’re in Krakow, we can only recommend stopping by and enjoying a meal there.

Nice restaurant, with a traditional and peaceful atmosphere. The soup served in bread was amazing! Highly recommended.

Near the city centre; accessible prices for tourist that search for somewhere to eat. A good experience if you are looking for a place to try typical dishes; also the atmosphere contributes to the experience: the music, the little statues, you know, it makes you feel the vibe! Also I had to say that I loved the “sauces” that they gently gave us to spread on the bread! They were amazing. Kind staff: even if the waiter was very busy he managed to make us feel really satisfied about our lunch experience there.

Gospoda Koko is a popular and casual dining spot in Krakow, known for its affordable and generous portions of classic Polish meals. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner at very reasonable prices. With a changing daily menu featuring homemade and fresh dishes, Gospoda Koko attracts both locals and tourists. The cozy underground cellar setting adds to the authentic Polish dining experience.
"Paradise of the poor". Watch out "cash only". The cheapest Polish restaurant in the Stare Miasto zone except some fast-food stores. Portions are very satisfying. But check your wallet before ordering!

Traditional polish food, served fast and hot. The atmosphere in the cellar restaurant bar was excellent, very old with tons of tradition. Good prices and excellent choices of beers and drinks... Recommended place by me
Quenton M — Google review
The food was genuinely tasty and plentiful, excellent value for the price. Downstairs, there is a basement area that also has a room that serves as an event space, in addition to the main floor. The reason it's not 5 stars: the restrooms are co-ed. This was quite surprising and unusual, and it might not be a comfortable setup for everyone. Aside from that, it's a recommended spot.

Real home food. The restaurant beats the others by the quality of food, size of portions and the prices. The pierogi were amazing.

food is amazing, but smaller portions than a few years ago. about average price and great atmosphere. the service isn’t as great as it used to be. nobody smiles and the waiters look very tired. cash only. overall, still nostalgic and a good meal

One of my favorite places to visit whenever I'm in Krakow. No frills Polish dishes that are authentic and priced right. Nice cellar atmosphere and nice selection of beers.

I went to this restaurant in 2016 when on holiday. And went again today 18/5/23 while on holiday again. And I must say I was never disappointed. It is a fantastic restaurant. Super delicious food, great value and the staff are awesome. The place has brilliant character. The food here is to die for. Highly recommended.

Delicious home made food. Very similar to polish bristo polish restaurants. Don't let the upstairs fool you, this place has large down stairs with multiple rooms and big bar. So upstairs may look empty, downstairs is booming with life. Highly recommend for food and drinks.

Kebab shop
If you're wandering through Krakow and craving a unique dining experience, look no further than Vegab. This charming eatery specializes in 100% plant-based cuisine, offering a delightful twist on the classic kebab. Located just a short stroll from the bustling main square in Old Town, Vegab is an ideal spot for dinner or lunch.
I stumbled across this after doing a very long 4 hour tour and was just happy to spot a vegan restaurant on the street. Hadn’t done any research or heard of them before but I was extremely happy with my food and the service. The employees were very friendly and helped me figure out the money to pay in cash. I ordered the Beirut wrap with spicy garlic sauce. The regular size kebab was huge and stuffed with the seitan and veggies. It has a very nice seasoning and the sauce is delicious.

This place serves HUGE vegan kebabs that are great value for money - glad we only ordered the classic size each, because that was almost big enough for two! Very tasty food which arrived quickly. Service was a bit lack lustre, with no smile from the guy who was at the counter when we entered, but for a good value and filling meal, I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Vegan Kebab Baby! 🤩 A fully vegan Kebab shop with multiple flavors available and a few extras. Good size portions, super tasty Kebab meat, stacked with veggies and different sauces. Amazing all around. Highly recommended 👌
Frank L — Google review
Dropped into Vegab for a quick bite and was really happy with the whole experience. The place is clean, the staff was super friendly, and everything moved fast—we ordered, sat down, and had food in front of us within a few minutes. I had the VEGAB CHEEZY with nachos, cheezy sauce, and spicy sauce. Solid combo—good flavor and just the right amount of heat. My wife went for the VEGAB LIMITED EDITION EGGLESS, which came with this vegan egg paste made from tofu, roasted onion, and a mild sauce. She liked hers too. We also split an order of sweet potato fries, which were crispy and not greasy at all. Prices were totally reasonable, and the portions were filling without going overboard. Definitely a spot we’d come back to, especially when we want something fast and plant-based that doesn’t feel like a compromise.
Michael B — Google review
Crazily delicious plant-based kebabs (and huge portions), accompanied by yummy hand-made chips, refreshing homemade lemonades, and amazing desserts! Soooooo good! Strongly recommend it!
Maura S — Google review
We love their food! Came here in August 2024 & August 2025 and missed it the moment we left Krakow. The staff was very nice and friendly last year - this year they were more standoffish and less friendly. They have plenty of seating, we’ve never seen it full, but we’d recommend getting Vegab as take away. It’s really close to Planty, so in good weather we’d walk around Planty/Old Town or sit on a bench and enjoy our Vegab. Our favourites are Cheesy and Aloha. They offer a savings card; you get a stamp for every kebab and the 11th is free. Definitely not high end or healthy dinner, but absolutely delicious fast food!
Sara A — Google review
Visit enough cities and maybe you can find a falafel joint that doesn't have a slab of lamb spinning on its rotisserie. But do you know what's even nicer, and rarer to the point of being something I've never previously encountered? Finding a kebab joint with its rotisserie loaded up with vegan meat! Portions are massive and the available options and sauces cover every possible taste. I don't care how many cities you have visited in your life, but if you are vegan and visiting Kraków and don't check this place out, you've let let a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity slip by! I've met the owner and this restaurant is his heart and soul, to the point that he even has the restaurant logo tattooed by his elbow. Everything here is good but the Vegab Cheezy wrap with spicy garlic sauce is off-the-hook delicious.

Nice little vegan place that sells kebabs. The portion size of the kebab is big, the regular sized one was bigger than the large where I live!

Kolanko No 6 in Krakow’s Jewish district Kazimierz was a lovely surprise. We visited around 1 PM and tried the daily menu – it was perfectly sized, very tasty, and cost only 39 PLN. The restaurant is spacious and cozy, with different seating options. Both the service and the food were excellent. Our menu included pea soup with vegetables and spaghetti carbonara. With each meal, you also get a free drink that tastes like a light fruit compote. Highly recommended – not only by us but also by many travel websites like TripAdvisor.

One standout item is their unique burger crafted from fluffy pancakes and crispy fried chicken topped with bacon—definitely a must-try!
American dinner in our home town is our favorite restaurant so we felt right at home walking in. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. We just chanced on this great bar. Only stopped for a beer and a coffee but we were made so welcome. Quirky decor (my husband loved the mona Lisa when she winked!) will definitely come back to this place when in Krakow again and will be eating here too looking at the lovely food reviews. 👌👏👏

I didn’t expect this!!! Well Done BBQ brings a real taste of America to Kraków—huge portions, bold flavors, and unbeatable value. I had the BBQ sandwich, and it was absolutely fantastic: juicy, smoky, and packed with flavor. Definitely not a place where you leave hungry. For anyone craving proper BBQ, this is a go-to spot, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

This restaurant has a very stylish full of great design. The portions are large and generous, but the food took way too long to be served😣 I ate alone, and it took me about an hour to finish my meal. The restaurant wasn’t crowded at all. only one other table besides me. I came around lunchtime, but I had to wait about 30 minutes just for the first dish to arrive. Honestly, that kind of wait felt really unreasonable. Other than that, it was quite good. If you plan to visit, I recommend trying the lunch menu first and then coming back in the evening for the more expensive dishes.

We found this place by chance and they were very accommodating finding us a table on a Saturday night. It had great atmosphere and music and the food was very tasty. We ordered the sharer starter and then I ordered a rib eye steak and my partner ordered the ribs The steak was cooked perfectly and ribs fell of the bone and full of flavour and big sized portions too for the price.

Youmiko Sushi is a quirky sushi restaurant in Kazimierz with anime-themed murals on the walls and a selection of creative sushi rolls. The restaurant is perfect for anyone looking for some unique Japanese cuisine before exploring the Jewish Quarter of Kazimierz.
Hands down one of the best sushi places in Kraków. Every bite was flavourful, the fish was fresh, practically melting in your mouth with a buttery texture. Love the concept and the creative bites I’ve tried here, looking forward to coming back!
Oana M — Google review
Lately, I’ve been in my sushi era and trying to discover good spots around the city. While I haven’t tried many yet, I think I’ve started on the right foot. My latest visit was to Youmiko, and it turned out to be a genuinely good experience. We ordered the omakase (9 portions, totaling 30 pieces), and I was impressed not only by the flavors but also by the pacing as each portion arrived roughly every 3–4 minutes, which was ideal. I liked every single portion, but my favorites were: -the one topped with onions, -the roll with a slightly longer nori wrap, and -the salmon piece with additional salmon on top. The place is quite small, with a few extra tables downstairs, so I highly recommend making a reservation through their website or by phone. Cleanliness was top notch for real that is probably the best I’ve seen in town, including the restroom. While I was very satisfied with the food, I want to be fair in my review and mention that I experienced a slight stomach discomfort later that evening (a bit of a heartburn). I'm not sure if it was caused by the meal or something else, so I plan to revisit to confirm. That said, based on this first visit, even though I don't consider myself an expert in Japanese cuisine or sushi, I can definitely recommend the place. Looking forward to updating this review after my next visit. Thanks to the team!
Kalyoner — Google review
Intimate place with absolutely delicious and clean tasting menu. Omakase is a must - brilliantly paced, directed by the attentive and knowledgeable waiting staff to take you through a journey of taste. It was our second time and equally great. Will be back and would recommend to anyone. It's small (and that just adds to the experience) so do book ahead and get carried away!
Kaska K — Google review
I had my first ever omakase here at Youmiko after hearing how it was the top sushi spot in Krakow and I had a wonderful time. It was a relaxed atmosphere and I had time to chat with Jakob, our sushi chef, and observe his techniques as he presented each creation. Every single one was delicious, but most of all the flame-grilled salmon - just buttery smooth. The quality didn't disappoint, and I could see why they'd earned their reputation as the best. A terrific meal all around and a great connection with the friendly master chef, who even gave me a few recommendations for other spots to try in town. Thanks for a great evening!
Glenn J — Google review
Definitely one of the best sushi in kraków. Highest quality ingredients, well balanced flavors. Interior doesn't match the quality of the food. Overall a great place. Recommend omakase
Zeni N — Google review
My second experience in here. Probably the best I had in whole Poland not only Cracow. Hands down for the chefs and the service. Everything was made fresh and an overall experience was extraordinary. Recommend to anyone who wants to experience closest to Japanese service
Mikołaj W — Google review
- Place: It is quite small, has two-set tables on the first floor where we can see the two chefs preparing the food, bigger tables at the underground. Somehow it feels that we sit too close to the next table and might be awkward at first 😅 Not so fancy but ok. - Service: The ladies are super nice, friendly. We order omakase, they bring each dish with clear description and full smile. - Food: We ordered omakase 9 sets for 30 pieces. Each and every bite is flavorful with fresh ingredients. They first come with two-piece sets of sashimi that melt in your mouth, around half round, then continue with some common sushi sets at the end. I kinda hoped the entire sets will be fancy, tho 🙃 The portion is just ok, price is reasonable for omakase and with such quality. Recommended!
Hardianti L — Google review
Highly recommend the omakase experience. We’ve tried many different vegan sushi spots in many countries (including Japan) and this place is truly the best. We sat at the counter because we didn’t make a reservation, but it just enhanced the experience. Each dish was explained and well crafted using seasonal ingredients. My partner has a whole new mindset towards beets! If I come back to Krakow, this will be my first stop.

Chłopskie Jadło, which translates to "Peasant Food," is a popular restaurant chain in Krakow. Despite being a bit hidden within a hotel and courtyard, it offers high-quality, authentic Polish cuisine with excellent service. The decor resembles an old Polish country house, complete with folk music playing in the background. The menu features traditional dishes like homemade dumplings, stuffed cabbage rolls, and various roasted meats. Meals come with complimentary bread and lard, adding to the rustic experience.
The food tastes exactly how my grandma used to make. It’s delicious and I recommend you try this place to experience traditional Polish flavor. What stood out is the warm hospitality from the staff which is regularly unusual for Polish restaurants in Poland which made it an incredible memory. I hope to come back soon!

This Polish restaurant is incredibly delicious, and I strongly recommend everyone to visit this place! The prices are quite inexpensive. Just a note for guests with strollers: the stairs inside make it a bit inconvenient to navigate with a baby carriage. However, in the summer, you can comfortably sit at the tables outside, and it's perfectly fine with a stroller.

Wiejskie Jadło ended up being one of my favorite discoveries in Kraków — my husband and I enjoyed it so much that we went two nights in a row. The food was hearty and consistently delicious, but what really stood out was the atmosphere and service. Both nights we were served by kind, welcoming waiters who made the experience feel warm and personal. The restaurant itself has a cozy, inviting feel and offers a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the Main Square, even though it’s located just steps away. The sweet atmosphere paired with lovely staff and excellent food makes this a perfect spot to enjoy a meal in Kraków. :)

With multiple outlets, Pizzatopia combines the concept of a classic pizza restaurant with fast-food efficiency. Customers praise the incredibly nice staff and the delicious, customizable pizzas that can be ready to eat in no time.
PIZZATOPIA in Krakow is great — I made my own pizza and it was fresh and tasty. The dough is fermented for 48 hours, so it’s super light and delicious. Freshly made with lots of toppings, sauces, cheeses, and proteins to choose from — whatever you pick, it’ll turn out great. Portion comes as 8 squares, perfect as a meal or to share as a snack. Quick service, inside and outside seating, and a clean bathroom. Highly recommended!

🍕 Pizzatopia Review – A Personalized and Tasty Experience 💡 General Impressions A truly brilliant concept: the ability to fully customize your own pizza is a winning idea. The logo, which resembles the “<3” symbol, represents not only a heart but also the promise of a wait time under three minutes—and that promise is kept! 🍽️ Food Quality The pizzas offered are well-balanced in flavor, tasty, and enticing. The preset combinations work very well. As Italians, one might raise an eyebrow at the use of an electric oven, but it must be said: the result is surprisingly good. ✅ Strengths • Wide variety of ingredients and combinations • Modern and appealing location • Clean environment • Fast service ❌ Areas for Improvement • Electric oven cooking (may be a drawback for purists) • Minimal interaction with staff, present only for ordering • Customer care could be improved 🎯 Final Thoughts An original and well-executed idea. The format works, the product is solid, and the experience is enjoyable. Keep it up!

Pizzatopia is a well-designed and well-organized restaurant, making it a comfortable choice for families, with various seating options to suit different preferences. The pizza is delicious and fresh, and I especially appreciated the option to fully customize it with a wide range of ingredients. Prices are a bit on the higher side, especially for drinks like Pepsi. The toilet was clean, though there’s only one shared for men and women, and the cover over the flush buttons was not functional. Overall, it’s a great spot for a tasty, personalized pizza experience, but a few improvements could make it even better.

The cafe is quiet with a nice atmosphere. However, if you are looking for good coffee like me, you might be disappointed. The coffee was bitter and I‘m left wondering if the machine needs cleaning. The breakfast was alright, but next time I‘d rather get the normal omelet with bread. The pancakes looked nice on the photo, but in reality they don’t go well with the eggs. The service was top-notch, and the menu offers a wide variety of dishes and drinks, so everyone can find something they’ll enjoy. Next time we’re in Kraków, we’ll definitely come back!
Anastasiya K — Google review
Mo-ja Café & Bistro is located close to Kazimierz and the Vistula River, in one of Kraków’s liveliest areas full of cafés and bistros. The place feels fresh yet cozy, combining modern urban design with a warm atmosphere perfect for long breakfasts or brunch. Food & Drinks: • Shakshuka with pumpkin, chanterelles, and hummus was creative, seasonal, and full of flavor. • Pancakes with bacon fluffy, rich, and served with real maple syrup. A true calorie bomb, easily enough for three hungry guys, but worth every bite. • Salads were fresh, well-balanced, and delicious. • Coffee was excellent – a must here. Ambience: A typical breakfast vibe with relaxed music and a very friendly staff. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcome and naturally want to stay longer. Mo-ja Café & Bistro is a spot that blends honest food, inventive combinations, and Kraków’s energy. Highly recommended for brunch with friends or a cozy weekend morning.

Love it! As a breakfast lover, I can say they have really good options. Definitely suggesting for people who wants to enjoy a slow breakfast with yummy food. Ps. Went there saturday around 10 am and got a table without waiting.

Thank you for your hospitality. It was great experience. The atmosphere was cozy. I have ordered vegan bowl and hot chocolate. The food was tasty, I would say it was delicious as much as it could be for this position. Would like to visit once more.

We came here on a Saturday late morning for breakfast. Unfortunately, we did not skip the morning que and had a 35ish min wait. You can skip the wait if you want to sit outside and the tabels are free. For drinks, we tried the homemade lemonade, which was very refreshing & ice latte was good. For breakfast, we went with the Turkish eggs with cherry tomatoes, which was an interesting and tasty take on the dish. We also tried the bagel with poached eggs and a salad . This was a good dish as well. All in all, it was a nice place for breakfast. The indoor seating is quite relaxed, good light and comfortable.

Bagelmama is a local gem in the center of Krakow, offering warm and delicious bagels at affordable prices. The menu includes scrumptious sandwiches like the New York-style cream cheese with chives and the classic reuben sandwich. The place is known for its great vibes and delicious coffee, making it a budget-friendly spot for lunch. Bagelmama also offers a variety of toppings for their soft, doughy bagels, from hummus to mozzarella-pepperoni.
Everything was amazing! The bagels were divinely delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Really really enjoyed the lunch and I recommend this place for everyone, even if you haven’t tried bagels before - you won’t be disappointed, I promise!

Great bagel shop. One of the better bagel places I have been to in Europe. The bagels were fluffy and tasted great. The egg and cheese were made fresh which I enjoyed. Wish I could go back!
Grace T — Google review
Great atmosphere and layout, allowing a lovely chilled out vibe. Unfortunately the same couldn’t be said about the food. It took a while to arrive, and when it did the bagels were painfully hard. It gave the impression of a frozen bagel that had been rushed together. Based on other reviews I’m sure this must have been an off day, but nevertheless it was disappointing.
Marek P — Google review
My friend and I stopped here for a quick bite to eat as we’d heard good things about Bagelmama from an old Lonely Planet guidebook on Krakow. The American owner was very sweet and talked to us about the history of the place which made for a lovely conversation. The bagels were delicious - especially the salmon and cream cheese. The coffee was also smooth. Highly recommend if you are visiting the Jewish quarter in Krakow.

Some of the best bagels we’ve ever had, and the two gentlemen working there were so sweet and nice to us. The bagels were fresh and the sandwich ingredients were top-notch!

Nice bagel shop with a decent variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. There is a selection of sweet and savory bagels and good coffee! Comfortable seating that is not too close to each other if you know what I mean. Super friendly staff!

Excellent bagels with great history, classic options and perfect size. The owner is really kind and the atmosphere is calm and homey :) Lovely spot for any time of day. Everything bagel with cream cheese and strawberry jam was my favourite, although the savory one with salmon was also better than any bagel i had.

The sandwiches were delicious but didn’t have the typical bagel taste I was looking for. It tasted like regular bread roll. The atmosphere is not that nice, there were lots of untidy corners.

Bhajan Cafe is a delightful Indian restaurant located conveniently between Wawel Castle and the Jewish Quarter in Krakow. The restaurant prides itself on offering nourishing, fresh, and hearty food made from high-quality ingredients. It has gained recognition as one of the best Indian restaurants in Krakow.
We were walking around the area and stumbled upon this place. It was impressive at first glance and yet not too loud. Pure Vegan/vegetarian Indian was not something I was expecting in Krakow and obviously we were excited and could not wait to get in. Menu had enough variety and food was very tasty. Mr. Raj was wonderful and welcoming. Made sure we were comfortable and checked on us multiple times about what we wanted and took our feedback. As a kind gesture to a fellow guest in the next table, he arranged for something sweet for the birthday of them along with the traditional wishes, something very Indian and it was heartwarming to see it so far from home. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that travels to Krakow.

Amazing food! I was really pleasantly surprised with how inclusive and tasty everything was. The whole menu is vegetarian and there are lots of vegan options too. Be aware that the portions are big so you may want to share! We had the Biryani, noodles and a couple of sides and ended up taking loads home with us.

Bhajan Cafe in Krakow was absolutely the best restaurant I have come across so far. The atmosphere is so relaxed & it’s clean and bright. Our waiter, Santa, was friendly, helpful and patient whilst choosing our menu. The food is quite generous & every dish that we had ordered to share amongst our little group was delicious. I couldn’t fault any of it. This is one place I will most definitely come again to and recommend to friends and family should they ever visit Krakow.

Very delicious! Each dish we tried was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked! The spices blends were perfect - so aromatic! We tried the Shahi paneer, jeera aloo and biryani. The portions were generously sized. Fantastic friendly and fast service and the waiter spoke good English. The decor is also very pretty. We very much enjoyed our meal here!

We were surprised that it’s a place where that they only offered vegan and vegetarian food. But we didn’t know that vegan/vegetarian dishes can be this delicious. I ate a vegan version of the avocado toast and enjoyed it quite a bit - just a tiny bit pricey and there was a bit too much of majo but otherwise a great dish! The oat milk cappuccino was just perfect. Best coffee I've got on my trip so far (Austria, Slovakia and now in Poland)

absolutely my FAVORITE café in Krakow. I visited during my trip and I LOVED this place. First of all I have to say the staff spoke perfect English so that made things easier. The coffee was pretty good, but the desserts were DELICIOUS. I’ve never had such tasty vegan cakes. Almost all of their desserts are vegan and plenty are gluten-free as well. Also this place is lgbt-friendly and felt like a safe space. 11/10!!

Really special restaurant, I highly recommend it. The food is really fresh and tasty plus the vibe here is very cool and hippie. I got the jackfruit and it was amazing. Also had a burger wrap thing which was mega tasty. Come for the food and you can enjoy a nice chat with friends in the cool atmosphere.

Very friendly place with amazing food. I tried Vegan special burger and it was really big juicy yummy piece of vegan heaven. Also Putin potatoes were astonishing, however I can't give a 5 stars because we waited for some time until somebody even noticed us but for their own good, when you work just in two people and 10 offers in one time appears it's hard I know but still some places are much more quciker even when capacity is overcrowded
Martin R — Google review
Found it accidentally and it was the best accident ever! Although they run out of pierogi (I'll be back!), I had grilled gyros open sandwich (zapiekanka) which was absolutely amazing! Food is fresh and delicious, staff very friendly, place very green (plenty of plants). Little gem worth to visit (more than one time to try everything!). Highly recommended!
Marta B — Google review
The Farma burger was the very first meal I've had in Krakow and it did not disappoint. I always come here to eat because of their fresh veggies, flavourful sauces, delicious buns and a varied menu. Also the service is quick. It is definitely one of my favourite vegan places to eat at! And last time I was here to pick up and order they were offering delicious hot tea with every meal. This is a small business that in my opinion deserves more recognition!
Oana M — Google review
It was very very hot inside but I was hungry so I decided to go in anyways. The service staff didn’t say much but maybe that was just because of language barriers. I got the gyros burger which didn’t take long to be made. In my opinion, the soy meat replacement has nothing to do with gyros and just wasn’t very flavorful at all. This would definitely still be more towards maybe 3 than 1 star though. Why one star then? At first I did not know why my burger tasted very weird. But picking it a bit apart and eating it more separated I quickly realized that it was the spicy sauce on it which simply tasted spoiled, as if it had turned over. The burger was edible after I did my best to completely scrape of the rotten sauce. One star is not only for serving rotten food though but for me telling them about this and then not reacting at all. Furthermore, they offered the same sauce to customers after me. This is truly horrendous and simply dangerous. I hope they will immediately fix their food hygiene policy, otherwise I don’t see why they should be allowed to sell food.

Small and very cozy atmosphere as for bigger companies, as for families or tables for couples. We have ordered polish dishes and didn’t get disappointed. The menu features delicious dishes such as crunchy fried chicken and Hawaiian chirashi (poke) with flavorful vegetarian tuna made from watermelon. The cocktails are fresh and delightful, complementing the exotic ambiance.
Incredible restaurant in Kazimierz. Delicious and interesting dishes. Huge portions for a reasonable price. Creative cocktails. We will definitely come back!

I got a burger (big hawaii) which was overall really good. Nicely served with interesting mix of tastes. The only thing which in my opinion did not work well was a barbecue sauce inside. The sauce itself wasn’t too good and there was too much of it. I also had a pear lemonade. It was tasty and worked well with the burger, however there was not much taste of pear. These are just my personal thoughts. Overall it was really good experiance and I can recommend the place. Good food and god service with nice atmosphere just to chill :)

This restaurant is a real delight as a whole. Filled with many tropical and exotic plants and decorations, especially perfect for Instagram photos :) As for the food part, I think it indeed deserves such a high rating. Their cheesecake was also worth a try!

If you find yourself in Plac Nowy, make sure to stop by Zapiekanki BarOko for a delightful taste of traditional Polish cuisine. This charming eatery specializes in the beloved zapiekanka, an open-faced sandwich that can be customized with a variety of toppings like vegetables, meats, and sauces.
Yep, my first experience of a zapiekanki was a good one! I say choose any toppings and I bet they will all be tasty.
Heidi B — Google review
Came here after some drinking to get some street food. The line was short and moved quickly. So many options for Zapiekanki but we ended up ordering the large Kazimierz Wielki or Casimirus the Great. This consisted of cheese, mushrooms, ham, bacon, chicken breast, pickles and mozzarella. This was one of the most expensive ones to order but it was totally worth it, the flavors of everything mixed really well and I would totally recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat. Also it is possible to pay with cash or card.

Be prepared to wait in line. But it's worth it. Delicious 'open sandwich'. Lots of choices. I went with the traditional small, which is cheese, tomato, mushrooms, and mozzarella. It's a good portion size. The large looks too big. It'd near the Jewish Quarter.

Had the small Traditional and small Gastro. It was delicious. The prices for these are fantastic. If you opt for the big, it's a meal, the small is like a sandwich. They had some pretty good options and so many more that I'd like to order.

Meanwhile, the BarOko is my standard restaurant for Zapiekanki in Krakow even though this is just my second time in Krakow. Already three years they had great sandwiches; this is still true today. BarOko offers a great variety of different Zapiekanki which are always freshly made and tasty. What I also like is that they have small and large portions (which is not true for the other shops at this place). I really recommend this place and sincerely hope that one time Zapiekanki will become a fast food dish in Germany as well.

Bar mleczny "Pod Temidą" is a popular milk bar in Krakow, offering an authentic Polish cafeteria experience. Originally established to provide affordable and nourishing meals under Communism, these milk bars continue to offer low-cost dining in a no-frills setting with partial government funding. Located in the Old Town near the Castle, it is frequented by locals and tourists alike for its budget-friendly menu and English-speaking staff.
This is the best milk bar in the city, period. Don't let the location fool you. Even though it’s near to the main square in the Old Town, it is not a tourist trap. It’s incredibly cheap and the food is absolutely delicious—the best we've had. You might think the better and more authentic milk bars are hidden away in backstreets, but you'd be wrong. This one is the top. They make it easy for visitors: everything is written in English, and the staff understands your order perfectly. Be prepared: because it’s so good and in such a prime spot, it gets very crowded. But it is 100% worth it, even if you have to wait for a table. A must-do for authentic, amazing food!
Peter K — Google review
Despite the name, it's a restaurant, not a bar. A simple, unpretentious restaurant, a kind of canteen, where you can eat traditional food at OK prices. Located on one of the main, touristy streets of Krakow. With a small signboard, without flashy advertising, it's easy to miss it if you don't know about it. Varied offer, tasty food. A perfect place!
Paul C — Google review
Bar Mleczny Pod Temidą is a simple, no-frills spot right in the heart of the Old Town. It has the same humble atmosphere as other milk bars, but with the advantage of being very central. It can get quite busy with tourists, but the service is still quick and efficient. The food is good, hearty Polish cooking at very fair prices, perfect if you want to try something authentic without walking far to find another milk bar. Definitely worth a stop for a traditional meal in the center of Kraków.
Luca B — Google review
This place is always busy. The food is tasty and affordable, with self-service. We visited twice — once for dinner and the next day for lunch. By the evening, many dishes on the menu were already sold out. The restroom was clean.
Natalia P — Google review
The only bad thing about this place is that can get packed because of its location right in the most touristic streets, but if you go before 2:00 p.m. you can get a table. Make sure you know what to order when I you are in the line. Big portions, good and tasty food. I recommend the polish Goulash

Ranny Ptaszek, also known as Early Bird, is a charming and colorful coffee shop in Krakow that offers a cozy and intimate setting with outdoor seating. It was created by Kasia and her daughter to celebrate breakfast all day while providing great working conditions for women. The menu features a variety of vegetarian and vegan comfort food options, including traditional Polish scrambled eggs, shakshuka with feta cheese, sandwiches, burgers, and bowls.

I was impressed by the attention to detail and beauty in the interior design, plant arrangements, and overall cafe atmosphere. It’s minimalistic yet everything feels perfectly curated, creating a very comfortable space. Although I was tempted by the shakshuka, this time I ordered the rose tahini latte and chocolate miso cake. If you’re Japanese, I definitely recommend these! The latte had a subtle spice that made it delicious, and the cake was rich with plenty of nuts. The honey drizzle wasn’t too sweet, and the miso aroma that lingered was absolutely amazing. One thing to note: there is no restroom here, so make sure to use one nearby before visiting. Overall, a high-quality and wonderful cafe experience!

If you're on the hunt for an authentic Polish dining experience, look no further than MIŁA bar mleczny. This charming hole-in-the-wall eatery offers a delightful taste of traditional cuisine, including their famous zurek, a sour rye soup that packs a unique flavor reminiscent of classic American hotdogs. Despite mixed feelings about the dish, it's clear that many locals adore it, as evidenced by the line often spilling onto the sidewalk.
Great food. Service and prices. Very local so not overpriced at all for food closely resembling Polish grandmas style

Very good traditional Polish food, with fantastic prices! Highly recommend for a quick good dinner after a long day.
Piotr R — Google review
Tasty traditional polish food, good alternative for home cooking if you don’t have time or for lunch. Expect 15+ minute waits on weekdays, but the quality is well worth the price.
Ivan B — Google review
Good place to eat a proper meal for a fair price. They don't speak English, but understand it, so we didn't have any issues with communication, also the staff was friendly and helpful.
Judit F — Google review
Definitely an experience! Somehow between the language barrier and few minutes before closing, we've had one of the heartiest meals of our lives. The amount of money we paid for the quantity we got is simply legendary. The place is as old school as it gets! Travel back to 1970s communist Poland to the last detail. Recommended for a truly authentic experience!
Kei G — Google review
The food is delicious, is difficult to order because the staff only speak polish

Bar mleczny "Bieńczyce" is a typical Polish milk bar known for its delicious soups like the thick and flavorful krupnik and the hearty sour rye soup called zurek. The place offers excellent service and tasty Polish food at affordable prices, all served in an original socialist/early democratic setting.
Typical polish bar mleczny restaurant. No pictures, just a menu and quick service. This place is top tier for this type of restaurant. Kids loved the bean soup, cheese pancakes, strawberry pierogi. They don't speak English :)
François A — Google review
Stopped off for a quick snack when visiting Nowa Huta because it looked very old school and real; we weren't disappointed! I had strawberry pierogi with cream and they were delicious, not seen those at a bar mleczny before! The queue moved fairly quickly, the menu is big (unlike some!) so you can read it and decide before you get to the till. I ordered in Polish but I'm guessing there will be little, if any, English spoken out here. A list of the classics, at good prices, and I'd certainly go back here again.

I haven't been in Poland since 2012 I came back recently to my favourite milk bar and even after such a long time I had chance to experience the same excellent service teasty polish food for less than 2£ and what I love the most is the fact that the place stack in original socialistic/early democratic outfit <3 Dziekuje

Jutrzenka is a popular eatery located in a community block near a lush park. The menu, adorned with Pepsi logos from the post-communism era, offers an array of dishes including eggy bread rolls for breakfast and homemade lunch specials at reasonable prices. Locals, particularly the elderly and budget-conscious individuals, frequent this spot for its generous portions and consistent flavors. Visitors praise the establishment for its delicious, affordably priced meals prepared with fresh ingredients.
Homemade lunch for a very reasonable price! They offer a changing daily deal, which you get for around 26-28zł incl. compote. A lot of locals, especially elderly and less affluent people visit this regularly for solid portions and solid tastes. I thinks it’s very hard to find such a tasty lunch for that money. I like to go here, because you always know what you will get and because I’m sick and tired of all these “pseudo-fancy” restaurants around Fabryczna Office Park. Come and see.
Tymoteusz M — Google review
It is a classic Polish Milk bar... cheap food, made well by Polish ladies who know how to make big portions of good food well. It is simple food, but very good and affordable. You are not coming for gourmet, you are coming for comfort. Enjoy! Oh and it does not matter that it looks like the place was last decorated in 1991...(probably was to be fair)... because the food seems to taste better then too :)
Michal S — Google review
Great tasting freshly made home cooked meals. Unbelievably inexpensive for the area. No English menu as to be expected but make a use of Google translate app and you'll be good to go. This is a typical Polish home style food, nothing fancy but just pure delicious comfort cuisine.

Last week’s food became less tasty - seem a person who cooked it changed . Absolutely different dish’s unfortunately. Before it was my favourite. Schabowy less testy and looks different than before , paryski at all taste like boiled meet , not good anymore for me . Missing food I ate here month or more ago .

It's my second time(was here few years ago) eating here, the food is like in primary school kitchen(it's ok), but second time something is undercooked, this time it was a bit of uncooked potato. Portion size is pretty reasonable for given price (27 pln for soup+main+compote)

Pierogowy Raj is a popular spot in Krakow known for its various handmade vegan options, including pierogi stuffed with potato, sauerkraut, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and spinach. While not a fully vegan restaurant, it offers six types of vegan pierogi, making it stand out among Polish eateries. Despite being located outside the city center and having limited seating, it's highly recommended by locals and visitors alike for its authentic and delicious vegan pierogies.
Awesome restaurant. The best Pierogi in the city. It was so good that we visit it two days in a row :) they have plenty vegan options and they are all delicious. But we enjoyed the mushroom ones the most. Do not hesitate and go visit this awesome restaurant.
Han D — Google review
Great selection of vegan pierogis. Service is fine, but not warm. Good prices. Very well made and fully stuffed pierogis. Best ones I’ve had in Poland. Very limited seating so may need to wait but it’s worth it.
Rachel Y — Google review
A place frequented by Polish who is specialized in dumplings (pierogi): you will find about thirty different flavours, everyone delicious. I suggest to opt for the mix of dumplings, choosing one or two of every kind! I recommend the onion-based condiment: really delicious with not-sweet dumplings!
Floriana C — Google review
Smaczne pierogi! Delicious pierogi, love that they offer vegan pierogi on their menu - it's why this place caught my eye in the first place. The space itself is rather small and cramped inside, no outdoor seating at the time of my visit. They have free WiFi and the wait is relatively short. The price is hard to beat - starting at 15 złoty for 10 pierogi! Our party of 4 got various pierogi flavors across the vegan, vegetarian, and meat menu sections - you can do 2 different flavors, 5 of each. The only flavor that wasn't great was the smoked salmon spinach - besides for that, amazing flavors! I loved the vegan mushroom and lentil pierogi. Some suggestions for the establishment - fry up the pierogi a bit more and offer beer.
Karolina N — Google review
Very nice place! Been there twice during my 7-day visit in Krakow. Nice service, tasty pierogi and very good prices! I liked the mix&taste specifically, because you can try out different flavours! (the only negative I can find is that there's no toilet for the customers)
Despina S — Google review
Super yummy pierogi! We first went over the road to another pierogi place but they didn't seem very welcoming, no customisation and also no mixed plates or fried pierogi. This place offered all of that and was so yummy! Quick and friendly service, and plenty of meat, veggie and vegan options - boiled or fried! I will miss this place a lot it was great - really recommend this for authentic polish pierogi.
Scarlett D — Google review
Oh my! So good, such a good value for money and the vegan options are amazing. You can also choose for 1 portion to have 2 seperate flavours.
Luci F — Google review
Such an excellent array of dumplings, you can even have one of each, boiled, or fried. It’s tight in there, but the food is worth it! They also do pancakes and waffles. My partner and I went here for food 4-5 times during our week’s holiday in Krakow. The staff are lovely too.

Uapami is a vegan fast food spot located in the heart of Kazimierz, Krakow. It's a take-out-only restaurant that offers a variety of veganized popular junk food favorites such as burgers, nuggets, wraps, and fries. The plant-based burgers are highly recommended with options like the 'Uapami Classic' made with a lentil and walnut patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, and vegan mayo. Customers also praise their delicious quesadillas and wraps.
We ordered via uber eats, so I can't speak on service or atmosphere, but the food was very tasty! We had quesadillas, and I wish we had time during our trip to go try more of their food as the quesadillas were amazing!
Nadja — Google review
This is a vegan stall in the plac Nowy, perfectly located for vegans who can't have any Zapiekanka being sold nearby! The menu is simple with the main component of all the dishes being their deep fried seitan strips in different combinations. I tried the wrap and had the seitan strips as a separate dish as well. These are a good mixture of soft and crunchy. The batter is tasty but is the main element to the flavour of the strips. The wrap was small but good value for money considering the price being so low. Overall this is a great stall to pick up something on the fly. The service was quite unfriendly and I would like to see slightly more variance on the menu with more salad or fresh veg in the dishes.
Tiarnán B — Google review
The pictures on their website were very inviting, I expected a cute clean place with vegan food. Instead, it's a booth in some square - half of which is a chicken nuggets booth. So I am not sure if the vegan stuff is even separated from the real flesh. Off to a great start, I've ordered a hot dog and some nuggets. The nuggets are not made on the spot, but are laying there on some heating tray - were barely warm, weird texture, solid 1 out of 5. The hot dog - the ladies behind the counter were talking between them how the hot dogs are as old as the dinosaurs. The bun was stale and the hot dog tasted like water. Honestly, it was very bad. It was also a bad day for the day after. 🫠🫠🫠
Valeria — Google review
Very interesting taste! Definitely worth trying, but I don’t need to have it again. It was quite cheap. It was very cold outside and since it is street food, we took it to our car. The bites are crunchy and the older they get, the better they taste 😄 they could use some more flavoring, since the only taste is the fried shell of the nugget. Burger was also with the nuggets, some vegetables and sauce.
Dominik P — Google review
We ordered a delivery, we did not imagine that the nuggets are so big! We couldn’t finish all of it. It was delicious, amazing work with seitan. Yummy.
Natalie S — Google review
Food was fresh and tasty as fast food should be . It’s hard to find something Vegan in Poland for fast bite but here we cannot complain . Of course food was good but not amazing ;) but still here that is something new and that is good change !!!!

Food was good but never got fries i ordered, they forgot them, i asked for the fries and got them 10 minutes later. Servise was bad, the old lady didn't even apologise for forgetting the fries

This might seem like an over exaggeration, but what I ate here was one of the best food I ever ate. During our stay in Krakow we visited here several times. Those seitan nuggets were addicting. I really recommend🌱

Delicious !! Tasty,Yummy and Healthy Polish traditional food. If you are a tourist and wanting to try some Polish food I really recommend this place as it is : Very good Price , Very tasty food, Large amount of food for the price ✅and the Ladies serving are sweet and kind. The prices are also very good compared to the Main town which will be 2x the price and 1/2 less food, the place doesn’t look as appealing, to be Honest looks pretty empty and poor but the food they make is EXCELLENT 👍🏻 AND DELICIOUS I very much recommend stopping by to try something from there.

(Translated by Google) I highly recommend this place!!!!! I ordered pierogi ruskie (Russian dumplings), and while I wasn't expecting much for a dish costing 9 złoty, I'm not exaggerating... Starting with the fact that the pierogi were simply not good and very greasy, the onion was truly disgusting (it didn't taste like onion at all), and I found a dead fly in the dish... I recommend giving this place a wide berth. The place itself isn't exactly inviting either, but it's still manageable. However, serving food in such a state is unacceptable!

(Translated by Google) Great place for everyday dinner 😊 really tasty dishes. My last visit ended with pork chop with potatoes and sauerkraut salad... The pork chop looked as if it had just been removed from the pan a second ago, which is a big plus... If someone prefers thinly beaten chops, they will not be disappointed, and the size of the hero of today's dinner is also satisfactory 😊 mashed potatoes and really fresh and tasty. The salad is also top-notch. For the price of PLN 23, it is hard to find fault with anything 😊 (Original) Świetne miejsce na codzienny obiad 😊 dania naprawdę smaczne.

(Translated by Google) A classic milk bar where you can eat a decent lunch at a good price. Due to the late hour of our visit, we didn't expect to get anything (we were there just before 5 p.m.). However, we could easily order a meal. Interestingly, after ordering pork chop, you could hear the meat being beaten with a mallet. The cutlet was tasty, soft, well beaten and seasoned. The young cabbage was well seasoned, tasty, not bland. We ended up having a tasty lunch. In an interesting place. Time seemed to have stopped here, tasty home-cooked food in a retro setting. Prices were affordable. Kotlet smaczny, miękki dobrze rozbity i doprawiony. Młoda kapusta dobrze przyprawiona, smaczna, nie była mdła. Trafiliśmy na smaczny obiad. W ciekawym miejscu. Czas jakby się tutaj zatrzymał, smaczne domowe jedzenie w retro scenerii. Ceny przystępne.

Nestled in the heart of Stare Miasto at Slawkowska 8, Krowarzywa Vegan Burger is a delightful haven for both vegans and those who typically lean towards meat. This vibrant eatery offers an impressive array of plant-based burgers that are bursting with flavor without attempting to mimic meat. Guests rave about unique options like seitan pastrami and chickpea creations, all crafted with care and served by friendly staff eager to guide newcomers through the vegan menu.
So surprised by this place! Was craving a kebab and stumbled upon this spot and we ended up going here twice in two days! We had the pastrami wrap and kimchi kebab with the coleslaw. Super flavorful and filling without feeling overstuffed. The coleslaw was fresh and tasty. We also got a green smoothie which was excellent. This is now our go to place for a kebab alternative!

Great, tasty vegan options. Beyond in a wrap with chipotle is savage. This newer branch has much more space than the Old Town branch, lots more seats indoors and out. It's a pity the outdoor seating feels like you're sitting in a car park.

Інна Н — Google review
Ordered to be delivered no more than 500 meters away from where I was staying. My food took over two hours to arrive, the fries were frozen cold and looked old (as in cooked a long time ago), the burger was only slightly warmer and the bun was obviously old bread with the texture of gum. I used to like this restaurant when I lived in Krakow but would stay away from now on.
Nicolas G — Google review
The Burger is ok despite being “done” in the place was not hot, I asked without pickles and they forgot and French fries are the worst I ever got, soft with some strange black things, I went to the girl and she re-baked instead of giving new ones, really disgusting. After that I asked how can be the solution and she couldn’t come up with any idea so I left the 2 portions of French fries right there and left. I would suggest to give a protocol of action to the employees in this kind of situations so the client doesn’t feel that they stole their money, and don’t leave the place dissatisfied.
Santiago B — Google review
A great place for vegan and non-vegan people who usually prefer meat burgers. Burgers taste amazing, they are not supposed to imitate the meat taste, however, they taste very well. We tried ones with seitan pastrami and chickpeas. Well-balanced, pleasant service, can advice if you are not familiar with vegan foods. To add up, they have nutritional information provided, which helps when you are interested in that. All in all, best recommendations.
Margo T — Google review
Ok fast food, could be better. I ordered a salad which looked great, but the woman who served it absolutely drenched it in a very pungent dressing so it ended up being really overpowering and the dressing pooled at the bottom of the bowl like soup. Note to staff: a little goes a long way On another day I had a “chicken” burger which was also just ok. I think the other burger options look better
_ — Google review
I have been many times in this place always ordering burgers which are quite good. But I remember them few years ago much more tasty than now. Anyway, this time I ordered hummus kebab and unfortunately I have to say, that I was so so much disappointed. The taste was really bad, there were too many soses inside, all of them mixed together and you couldn't feel the real taste of any of them. It had that many herbs that kebab lost its taste. After eating, my stomach was painful and I felt all this grease. The place in general is nice, the prices are ok. But I don't recommend ordering hummus kebab.
