The place is extremely clean, with ample parking, no plastics, and no littering. Entry along with a two-way cable car costs around ₹610 per person. The cable car ride is smooth and scenic, but you can also choose to climb the 826 steps. I recommend going up by stairs for the experience and taking the one-way cable car down while returning. There is also a small Shri Ram temple on top, and the panoramic views are breathtaking. That said, I did feel a bit disappointed with the way the actual Ramayana story is presented at the site. The inscriptions describe “a bird” without directly mentioning Jatayu, Sita, Ravana, or Rama. It feels like a purposeful dilution of the epic’s context, which is sad given the deep cultural and spiritual significance of this place.

We have 2 options to reach the top of the sculpture. Either by cable ride or by Walk. We took a cable ride and reached the top. The journey was fun though. The view was absolutely stunning and the another attraction on the top was the Ram mandir. The idol there was mesmerizing it was made up of pure gold. Everything was good expect the hot Sun.

Kollam Junction is a fairly busy railway station, especially during mornings and weekends. You’ll often find crowded platforms and long queues, particularly during festival seasons. The cleanliness is average—not spotless, but not too dirty either. Some platforms are maintained better than others. Location-wise, the station is centrally placed and easily reachable from most parts of the city, but the approach roads are narrow and traffic outside the station can get messy during peak hours. Facilities like lifts, escalators, and waiting rooms are available, but not always well-maintained. If you're traveling through Kollam, it's functional and historic, but don’t expect a modern or very organized station experience.

Such a great shopping complex. WE avail anything we need at negotiable prices here. Great organization of the building and premises which offer a satisfactory atmosphere. Also there is enough parking space and security guards who look around and ensure proper parking of the vehicles. also there is a cinema theatre "THE G-MAX". And "ROYAL ENFIELD" showroom is also a noticeable peculiarity. there is a food corner, ice cream parlour, "H&C" bookstall and many other mobile and gadget showrooms, which are also other attracting factors.

With more than 100 shops / establishments it's a very big shopping complex situated in the heart of Kollam. It has G-max cinemas, supermarkets, mobile / electronics /computer shops, jewellers, book store, saloon, cosmetics store and what not. U can get almost everything u want from here. There's good parking space between the complex and there are securities to assist you but felt it's not adequate to accomodate the increasing volume of visitors, also the lifts were not functioning well which makes it hard for the aged and specially abled. There are two main entrances which you can use.

Around more than 100 retail shops are available here . Inside the supermarket there are supermarkets, restaurant, theatres, mobile shops, book stalls, tailoring shops, Dress stores , Accessories shop, beauty parlour, bank of sbi etc... At the back side of Bishop jerome nagar there is vehicle washing centre is there. A lot of car parking facilities available inside this commercial centre. This complex is situated near the chinnakkada bus stand as well as ksrtc stand which is easily accessible.

Went there for lunch, peak time. Very hard to get seats at that time. Tried chicken and mutton biryani. Service was very fast. Biriyani was just average, mutton pieces were hard but chicken was soft. I visited this hotel after watching several positive reviews and vlogs about their mutton dishes, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I ordered porotta, aripathiri, mutton curry, and mutton fry. The porotta was smaller than expected,and don't have that much taste and texture 👎🏼 The aripathiri was average. However, the mutton dishes were a complete failure. The mutton curry lacked salt 😑and flavor, and the pricing didn’t justify the quality. The mutton fry was just average and didn’t carry the authentic taste of mutton. Both mutton dishes completely lacked that rich mutton flavor. On the positive side, the hotel has plenty of seating capacity, which is convenient. But overall, it was a poor experience, especially considering the hype around their mutton. Definitely not worth the expectation.

After a long gap, I tried the mutton biriyani from here and found it to be decent. The quantity was sufficient, the mutton was well cooked, and the masala was mild in flavor. It was served with pappadam, pickle, and salad. However, it took around 20 minutes to get the parcel.

The Appam was cooked to perfection, fluffy and delicate, while the accompanying Egg Roast had a rich and flavorful taste. The Beef Roast and Chicken Sandwich were also satisfying and lived up to their respective descriptions. It is evident that the culinary team possesses skill and expertise in preparing these dishes. However, the experience took a downturn when it came to the coffee we ordered. Sadly, it was overly sweet to the point that it felt like they were trying to compensate for something. It left a lingering artificial aftertaste that was quite off-putting. It would be beneficial for Chef King Restaurant to reevaluate their coffee preparation methods and adjust the sweetness level to cater to a wider range of preferences. Another aspect that requires attention is the language proficiency of the service staff. While it is understandable that not all staff members may be fluent in the local language, it would greatly enhance the dining experience if they could communicate effectively with the customers. The Bishop Jerome Nagar Shopping Complex in Kollam is where you can find Chef King. It has been operating here for more than 20 years. It was renovated recently. It is one of Kollam's top hotels. They include separate air-conditioned dining areas as well as indoor and outdoor seating options. I requested a coffee and a chicken burger, both of which were excellent. I tried the porotta here and it quickly became one of my all-time favourites. It takes a lot of time and effort to park, thus we have to propose one.

Went for a light bite here. They have renewed the old setup. The new place feels good in ambience. They have outside seating along with inside seating and separate ac dining area as well. Ordered chicken lollipop. It was ok. The chill garlic sauce that accompanied chicken lollipop was really good. The service was also decent. All the options on the menu were not available. Will give another review sometime when I taste more food from here

Disappointed with the Sharjah Shake! Visited this restaurant with friends and ordered Sharjah Shake for ₹80 each. After a long wait, we were shocked by the tiny serving. It brought together the best of different cuisines in one incredibly satisfying meal. The seasoning was bold and creative — blending spices and sauces you wouldn’t usually expect together, but they worked perfectly. ♥️ The chicken steak was absolutely fantastic — a true comfort dish with a gourmet touch. The chicken breast was perfectly grilled, tender and juicy on the inside with a nice golden sear on the outside. It was well-seasoned, letting the natural flavors shine without being overwhelmed by spices.

Extremely disappointing experience. We had ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, but what we were served was something entirely different — the chicken pieces were green and had a sour taste. On questioning, the staff casually informed us that since tikka chicken wasn’t available, they had used leftover Hariyali Tikka instead — and didn’t even bother to inform us beforehand. When we raised the issue, they reduced ₹110 from the bill — changing the ₹310 Chicken Tikka Masala into an "add-on" priced at ₹200, as seen in the attached bill. Apparently, this is a regular practice here, which makes it even more concerning. This kind of service is unacceptable. Customers come to dine and pay for what they order, not to be surprised with leftovers thrown into their dish without consent. The attitude of the staff was even more shocking — as if we were expected to accept and eat whatever they decide to serve. If you value transparency, quality, and basic customer respect — I would not recommend Fusion Table. They seriously need to rethink how they treat paying customers.

Holborn in Kollam has a beautiful atmosphere, making it one of the best-designed spots in the area, with a special space for celebrations. I tried the Jamaican Grilled Chicken—unique in flavor but just okay for me. The Flaming Grills were good, but the kuboos was below average. The rice had decent taste and came in good quantity. For drinks, the Strawberry Mango Blitz was decent, but the Blueberry drink was overly flavored and felt artificial. Overall, a mixed experience.

Nice place to spend quail time.. The view across Ashttamudi backwaters is mesmerising. It’s a very calm place, Plenty of rides for kids to enjoy. Boating facility is also available here. Tickets fair is only 25 rupees per person. We visited this place in the morning hours but it would be even more beautiful during sunset.

Visited this place after almost 21 years — my last visit was in 2004 during an adventure camp where I had injured my leg. Back then, it was a beautiful, lively spot filled with nature, activity and good memories. This time… honestly painful to see the decline. The water bodies are filled with debris and waste, structures stand without planning or maintenance, and the entire ecosystem feels neglected. A once-vibrant attraction in Kollam has been allowed to deteriorate right in front of us. It’s sad that such a potential tourist hot-spot in Kerala is poorly maintained while similar parks across the world are preserved with pride. Authorities don’t seem concerned, and waiting for political will is pointless. If a private entrepreneur could take over and set an example — the way well-managed parks abroad operate — this place could return to its former glory. Kollam deserves better. Kerala deserves better.

Adventure Park in Kollam is one of the best spots to hang out with children, but it seriously needs attention. Most play equipment is old and outdated. Earlier, there was beautiful buffalo grass, but now it's poorly maintained and almost gone. Toilets are in bad condition, with a strong smell reaching the entrance itself. The only enjoyable part is the boat service in Ashtamudi Lake, available every 20 minutes. The Tourism Department must take immediate action to renovate and revive this once-beautiful park.

A good place with lot of possiblitues for expansion. But due to bad maintenance must equipments for play and exercise are either not usable or only partially available. Boat service is cost effective for those who want a short trip though the lake. Kiosk serving food is not having many options. But still it's a place to sit comfortably with good air circulation and tree shades

Recently visited here, this park is a beautiful place with serene greenery, nearAshtamudi lake. The park has simple rides for kids, and a walk way that leads to some outdoor work out equipments. Ideal place to spend the mornings and evenings, entire park is set beneath a thick layer of tall trees. So it is always a cool and calm atmosphere inside. Nostalgic place. The great Indian coffee house , today (18/07/2023) visited after 18 years to eat the same combo which I had eaten when I was on 3rd Std ,to be Frank it's nostalgic but the taste is not up to the mark coffe and cutlet combo ❤️ if they improved the taste then this is a heavenly place .But not all times but atleast we can compromise on something which was soo special . Anyway thanks Indian coffe will come once again after 18 years 😂😂😂

I don't know what's happening to coffee houses. Once it was like the pride of Kerala. And the only one I liked is the one on the way to Alappuzha, I think near cherthala. And this one at kollam is a complete mess. Coming to the negatives 1. Cleanliness: The washroom and hand wash area are the worst. Please put some effort into cleaning the washroom. At least it's an Indian coffee house. The dining area looks like a local hotel, no lights. 2. Food: The food was average. Ordered porotta and beef roast, cutlets and tea. Porotta was good and beef curry was like beef mixed in chilli water. 3. Service: As like any other ICH, the service is pathetic. You have to wait for a year for someone to attend the table. 4. Parking and accessibility: ICH is somewhat inside and is situated right beside a theatre. So when the show is running in the theatre, parking becomes a problem. You can find better hotels at kollam, try those.

Reliable, just as every other Indian coffee house. Plenty of space on the wide road in front for parking. The wash and toilet area has a lot of room for improvement. Food was excellent.

The Thankassery (Thangassery) Lighthouse is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places to visit in Kollam. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking — you can see the long stretch of coastline, the sea, and the charming surroundings of the old port town. The place is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for photography and sunset views. It’s a great spot for both locals and tourists who want a calm, scenic experience away from the busy city. The staff here are very friendly, polite, and helpful.

A decent place to spend the evening in kollam. It is a bit difficult to reach this place by bus . Autos are the best way to reach this beach. There is an entry charge for this beach at Rs 10 per adult. The walkway in this beach was closed when i visited this because of repairs/maintenance. The lighthouse and Thangaseery fort is walking distance from this place. There is also a children's playing area at the entrance of this beach. They have a good choice of food, from continental to authentic Kerala menu. The staff is very helpful and always smiling. The food is also very tasty and must try out. As in the name, the chef really stopped at our table and explained about the dishes and their speciality. Maybe we were lucky to talk to him. The atmosphere is unique and good. Their waiter calling system is a unique as well; they have fixed the auto horn 😁 Nevertheless, their signature dish was fish wrapped in banana leaf. Their signature Biriyani was served in a rather splendid way, filled in banana flower. Would love to visit again whenever we are in this part of Kerala.

Most items weren’t available to order From the starters ‘Porotta Churutt’ was nice and from then on the standard took a deep dive - ‘kothporotta’ was below par, ghee rice and biryani were poor. Fish Dhamaka (which is named as something else in the menu) was a disaster. We were the only one in the restaurant at 7pm on a Friday night, had two other families joined in our time. Being served in broken plate is no fun at all. Over all, not a great experience. (If the restaurant wants more constructive feedback, I am all up)

My favourite in town. With good ambience and best chinese food available.. College students always prefer this. Cost is higher comparitively. But for that service and quality, its worth . Good parking is available.

Wonderful food. Good service. Burnt butter and garlic fried rice is my favourite. Honey chilli chicken is good. Chicken calimeri is variety. Beef in black pepper sauce is good. When it comes to seafood dynamite prawns is a must try. Also prawns in burnt garlic is a good one. For desserts there is choco burst, brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The place is situated in rp mall which happens to be the only mall in kollam town which is quite good for general standards .Even though there is a huge franchise of MacDonald s there it won't affect wok and grill , because mainly they are two genres. One of the best eateries in Kollam. Being a guy from the malabar area, its hard to find a restaurant that meets the taste standards I am exposed to. But this one is simply amazing. Have had lunch multiple times from here along with friends, and everytime we left with an intension to come back. Vegetarian - side dishes and the non veg stuff including various fish items are great. And all these come at a reasonable price too. After having food from here, you should cross to the opposite side of the road and taste the KALLU SODA (കല്ല് സോഡ) for completion. It will make lunch more awesome.

The mall offers several branded outlets like McDonald's, Trends, Arrow, Malabar Gold etc offering diverse shopping options. Its food court serves a range of cuisines, from Malabari and North Indian to American and Mexican, as well as traditional Kerala dishes... Additionally, the multiplex with two screens is also a major attraction. ✨🫶 However, the mall has poorly maintained toilets with bad smell and poor air conditioning 👎. Overall, RP Mall is an average shopping center - manage your expectations before visiting.

Lots of new buildings have come up around it, but this tower stands tall proudly amidst the new ones. The tower was built to commemorate a former chairman. If you pass through the city you can't miss it. You can see it close from the old overbridge in Chinnakada.

Mahatma Gandhi park is located at one of the most busiest beaches in Kerala. MG park is a good entertainment place for both kids and elders. There is fees for entry to Park. There is a swimming pool inside the park area and most or almost all the facilities inside the park area of pay and use. There are restrooms with in park area. Parking spaces available nearby and There is a food court with in the park.

Among the greatest places in Kollam to spend time with family and kids. It is located really close to the Kollam Beach. There are a tonne of fun rides and play spaces. This will be really enjoyed by our kids. Each entrance is really expensive, and we have to charge a separate fee for each ride. It's a great place to unwind by the lake because of the well-kept grounds and tasteful landscaping, which elevate the whole experience.

MG park is one of the few recreational spots available in Kollam for children. There are a few mechanisms rides such as train, dragon, battery operated cars, etc. Kids can also enjoy climbing structures, jumping on spring board (net), slides, seesaw, swing, etc. Parents and guardians have to pay extra care to kids while they play as chances of accidents are possible. The entrance fee and ride fee have gone up. Most rides are now charged 20 Rs per kid/session. Kids below 4 years old get free entry to the park. Toilet facility is there but it’s pay for use. There are a few shops that sells snacks, soft drinks, ice creams, etc. Outside by the beach, there are a few street vendors who sell toys. Be careful if you happen to go the beach side. There are lifeguards on duty but if you don't know swimming, be extra careful during rough sea conditions. Parking spaces are available and is controlled with parking fee. Please don't litter the public space.

We recently visited here on a working day and went around 11 am. It's a good experience and not very crowded. Even though it's noon, there is so much cool atmosphere at the top but you should go for evening time, it's pretty more good. The staff service is good, and they always maintain the premises. I think you can spend a decent amount of time here without any boredom. There are stairs and a lift available. If you have any health issues, then you should definitely go for the lift option because climbing too many steps makes you suffocate. They are charging an entry fee of र20 for adults, र10 for children(3-12) and senior citizens and र50 for foreign citizens. There is an extra fee of र10 for taking photos.You have to keep the footwear outside before entering the lighthouse & kindly remember that Monday is a holiday here. There is a children's park in the compound. There are washroom facilities provided in the corner.

Otherwise 10-15 is maximum allowed. Try to take the stairs instead of lift, if you want to burn some calories😜

I visited this Lighthouse yesterday, and overall, it was a pleasant outing, though it had its pros and cons. The view from the top is lovely, offering a nice glimpse of the coastline, which made the climb worthwhile. However, the surrounding area feels a bit confined, lacking the open, spacious vibe you get at Vizhinjam. The space around the lighthouse is limited, which makes it feel a bit crowded, especially if there are other visitors. The staff, unfortunately, weren’t the friendliest. They seemed disinterested and didn’t offer much in terms of guidance or warmth, which was a bit disappointing. Another inconvenience was the lack of dedicated parking. We had to park along the street, which felt a bit haphazard and added some hassle to the visit. Despite these drawbacks, the lighthouse itself is well maintained, and the experience of exploring it was enjoyable. It’s a nice spot for a quick visit, especially if you’re in the area, but don’t expect the grandeur or amenities of larger lighthouses like Vizhinjam. Overall, a solid experience worth checking out!

I had a great time at Kumbhavurutty Falls. The short walk through the forest was enjoyable, and the waterfall was worth it—calm, refreshing, and a lovely place to spend some time. The car parking fee is ₹75, which felt a little bit high, but overall, the experience was memorable.

A couple of weeks back, I had the chance to visit Khumavurity Waterfalls near Achankovil with my family, and it was an absolutely refreshing experience. Hidden amidst the lush greenery of the Western Ghats, this spot is still relatively untouched and offers a perfect escape from the busy routines of daily life. The journey itself was enjoyable—surrounded by thick forests, winding roads, and the cool mountain breeze. Once we reached the falls, the sight of water cascading down the rocky slopes into clear pools was truly mesmerizing. The sound of the rushing water combined with the chirping of birds created a soothing atmosphere. What made the experience even more special was the peaceful, less-crowded environment. It felt safe and comfortable to spend time with family, especially since children could enjoy the shallow areas under supervision. We even packed some snacks and sat by the rocks, enjoying nature at its best. If you are someone who loves nature, waterfalls, or simply wants a serene outing with family or friends, I would definitely recommend a trip to Khumavurity Waterfalls. It’s a hidden gem worth exploring, especially for those visiting Achankovil and nearby regions. Tips for visitors: • Carry drinking water and light snacks. • Wear comfortable footwear suitable for walking on rocks. • Best to visit during monsoon or just after, when the water flow is strong. • Keep the place clean and respect the natural surroundings.

I had a very disappointing experience at Chickeys. The staff was extremely rude and arrogant, behaving as if they were doing us a favor by taking the order. When we politely requested if the food could be delivered to our table right in front of the outlet, we were told in a very disrespectful tone to come back after 15 minutes, and that they “don’t deliver.” To top it off, when we mistakenly paid ₹3 less, instead of handling it kindly, the staff reacted very rudely and made a scene over it. Overall, it was a very unpleasant visit. Customer service needs serious improvement here. Not recommended.

One of the top restaurants in Kollam ,this place truly needs no introduction! The food is absolutely delicious, especially the Biryani which is a must try. We also had the chicken fry and another chicken dish (we had asked for honey-glazed chicken, though it was called something else on the menu can't recall the exact name). Regardless, it was juicy, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. The ambiance, food quality, and service are all top-notch. There's ample parking available, and the location is very convenient close to the city center. Definitely a must-visit spot in Kollam!

We recently visited Ramees and had a decent experience overall. The food was okay, but there were a few things worth noting. We tried both the chicken and mutton biriyani. The chicken biriyani was quite good—the meat was tender and flavorful, and the spices were balanced well. The mutton biriyani also had a nice flavor, but we were a bit disappointed to find a lot of small bones mixed throughout the rice. That made it harder to enjoy, especially if you’re dining with kids—definitely something they could improve on in terms of safety and presentation. One thing we really appreciated was the ambiance. The restaurant had a warm, inviting feel that reminded us of a typical Hyderabadi restaurant—from the decor to the music, it had a familiar charm that made the meal more enjoyable. The service at this restaurant was pretty good. We came on a rainy night and there was someone with an umbrella to take us inside so that we don't get wet. The waiters and the staff were very kind and they were super attentive, which was good. What I have to say, the biggest letdown was the food. I've eaten at a couple of places, a couple in Kollam, a couple in Parippally, and the best spot for me personally in terms of what I look at, which is quantity served, the quality of the food, and the price. The restaurant that has met all three of those expectations is Grandeur in Parippally, this Ramees restaurant, it was really a hit on all three. We also ordered chicken biriyani and not only was it pricey, the quantity served was so much lower compared to Grandeur and the taste was very bland. There wasn’t much flavor in the biriyani. The quantity of the curries was also low. We tried a couple of different curries and I think we got the chili chicken as well. It just didn't taste that good. It didn't taste bad, it just tasted a bit bland. It didn't have quite the flavor I was expecting that I've tasted from these other restaurants. Overall, it's more expensive, you get less food, and the food doesn't taste as good. It was really a letdown. The last time I ate at Ramees was like four years ago, and I remember it being better. I don't know what happened in those past four years for the overall quality to go down. Perhaps it's a different chef, I'm not sure on, but if you're really hungry and you just want to eat a spot, you can stop here, but if you really want tasty, high quality dishes that aren’t overpriced. I would go to Grandeur in Parippally. We go there as a family consistently, and we're not a family that eats out a lot, so you can really get an idea of how good the food is there. Also, the pricing for that particular dish felt slightly on the higher side considering the taste and portion. the service was polite and the overall atmosphere made the visit enjoyable. I liked the new location with ample parking space. The setup is interesting as they’ve combined a restaurant with a store that sells chocolates, biscuits, and other items – I even noticed fresh fish kept in a cooler, possibly for customers to choose and have it cooked (though I’m not entirely sure about that). I tried the Mutton Biriyani, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment for me – bland and lacking any distinct flavor. While I don’t doubt the quality, being a Supreme Restaurant, the taste just didn’t justify the price. Hoping to try other items in the future for a better experience.

Masala Square's is situated in the right place where people go for their beach rides or come back from their House boating, Ambience is Extremely Good, the Type of work done inside the restaurant is really catchy. The Food has Got their Delicious touch to the Ambience, the Pricing is Really Good, as well as the quantity. Happy Place for Munching :')

I got in at lunchtime and ordered chicken kuzhimanthi and fresh lime juice. Both items are good. They give a large plate full of kuzhimanthi rice which is excess for me. The one thing that I got a problem is with the FLIES in the restaurant. TOO MANY are there. One fly around, three comes back.......🐝 They have arranged a fly trap but not useful............😂😂 They got enough parking space also............👮🚙

Near bus stand.....food at reasonable rate.....interior was astonishing.... really superb....great ambience...... service was also good and satisfactory..... separate juice counter too... variety of Arabian foods available......

Near KSRTC bus stand Kollam.You can see Ashtamudi lake from this restaurant. They only serve two or three types of food items( like kuzhimanthi,biriyani..) and food is not that good. customer service is just ok..This restaurant has every facilities a good restaurant should have ,great interiors, Clean and cozy atmosphere,.. but they don't seems like utilizing it. I ordered fresh watermelon juice. It was not made from fresh fruit. And the kuzhimanthi didn't had any flavour at all. They should improve the quality of the food items they provide.

Nicely located near the bus and ferry station. Had a prayer hall. Had fresh juice while waiting for others to join. They prepared juices without sugar, ice and water. Good parking

First thing, very good service, all of them behaving quite well. Really liked the ambience. Tasted mutton masala square special, kuzhimandi, nd beef masala square special at differnet days. Satisfied with the kuzhumandi nd beef masala square special nd have to suggest others to taste that both. But am really unhappy with the special mutton masala square, it costs 350rs fr one plate, nd qauntity of pieces is too less, adding more grevy to the dish nd adding unwanted items doesnt satisfies the coustmer. Hope they will correct the neccesery, as i complied this to the one who served us.

Good for families. Food is good and tasty. Customer service is good. Good ambiance and neat and clean seating. Food is delicious,we ordered chicken soup, dragon chicken,roti, mushroom nawabi, chicken noodles and beef roast, all are good in taste. Price is reasonable and parking space is available.
