The caves are excellent, and unlike anything I’ve ever visited before. The audio tour is great and very informative. However the caves get very busy which really make moving around fairly difficult. The caves are also quite expensive and for a family of 6 cost over $100. Despite this the caves are a really unique and beautiful experience that I do recommend.

Amazing experience and a must do when in Nerja. We bought tickets just by Riu Monica hotel by the train stop. Train takes about 15 mins to get there. Had a drink at the cafe which has amazing views. Take headphones as can download tour guide when there.

It is an unforgettable experience.

Great place to visit. Audio guide is excellent. Make sure you bring your Bluetooth headphones for the audio guide because it's based on your cell phone. I do recommend getting tickets early if possible especially in the peak season because it can sell out. It's really nice and cool inside the caves and it's nice and hot outside. Don't forget to validate your parking and pay for it before you leave.

Enormously huge cave. 48h before your visit they release a limited 60 tickets for free. Definitely worth the visit. Temperature inside is the same or even warmer (visited in October). You can even download a free audioguide in many languages.

We went here with the kids and grandparents. Tickets were pretty expensive if u buy them at the register. 92 euro for 4 adults (2 seniors) and 2 kids. For a 30min walk through the cave seems a bit pricey. Parking was a few euro and was plenty of space. We also bought a few souvenirs from the gift shop, and of course also the photo taken at the start of the tour (8 euro). For the kids is a playground outside of the cave for a little entertainment. All in all a nice experience but relatively overpriced for an hours stay.

Excellent experience. Well worth the entry fee. Did the tour through hop on hop off. Canes are a great little adventure and the restaurant is very reasonable with its prices. Great day out

We stopped to picture this on the walk back down from the caves and also from the tourist train. Constructed in the 19th century, the aqueduct was built to transport water from the Maro River to the nearby San Joaquín sugar mill. It consists of four levels of arches, totalling 37 arches, and stands approximately 40 meters tall and 90 meters wide. The aqueduct is still in use today, supplying water for local irrigation.

We had a quick stop in one of the lay-by stops on either side of the adjacent bridge. This site is really easy to photograph and not an overcrowded tourist spot

It was worth a quick stop and a photo… I recommend seeing it from the bridge, not walking to it from the ground.

Nice to see, but it looks a little bit neglected

Worth a wander up from town if you don't have transport, about 20 mins easy walk, or stop by car if you do. Beautiful 200 year old aqueduct built for the nearby ruined sugar mill. Good photos from the road bridge but also it is good to walk down to it (and further on to the private beach if you have time). Yes a few homeless people have built tiny shacks nearby but they are friendly and will avoid you. It is 100 times worse walking through a British city centre so don't let that put you off.

Worthwhile stop if you are in the area but not worth going out of your way for. There is parking on either side of the bridge along N-340. You can also drive 5min to "Parking para Cala Barranco de Maro" along a rough paved road in order to make a 5min walk down to the base of the Aqueduct.

The best vantage point is from the parking 'mirador de acueducto': 36.7569287,-3.8502772. From here, there leads a little footpath to the top of the aquaeduct.

Beautiful seaside viewpoint with an absolutely stunning panorama. Unfortunately, it’s often extremely crowded, especially with groups of students everywhere. I’d recommend avoiding weekends if you really want to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of this amazing spot.

A beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea, from a less famous point in the city of Nerja. We had some free time, and we discovered the place on Google maps. Besides the "Mirador" there is a well-kept staircase that goes up to the small bathing beach. The place is well maintained with flowers and vegetation

Great food, large portions, good service.

Nice beach, a short check in for me, I just walked around to see the area in December month. The temperature was still 21 degrees, I think it's a good area to lay down in the summer 🙂.

Really good place. Basic seating, no frills service and great value paella gets my vote. It's not a posh place and it's not fine dining but it is decent tasty food at a good price and watching them cook the paellan for s an experience. Eat here

We stopped by this beach bar specifically to try the paella, as locals had recommended it as a popular spot for great paella. We were definitely not disappointed – the portions were generous, with both prawns and chicken. The atmosphere itself lacked a bit of coziness, but it’s understandable given the large number of guests and the goal of serving everyone as quickly as possible. It was interesting to watch the staff working so smoothly and as a team, with each person focused on their own tasks. I would definitely come back here again for the paella.

Beautiful place with amazing views. The staff were nice and friendly. The salmon and entrecote steak were nice but the 1kg steak in the bone was at first undercooked so it was taken back and cooked a little more but it was full of sinew and fat so we actually left more than we could eat and the only winner with that was the dog as we took the bone home for him.

Fresh Paella at the beach. The portions are big for what you pay. A plate of paella with chicken and shrimps is €10,- Wich it’s full of. The staff is friendly and you’re served quickly.

Loved seeing the huge paellas being made. Tasted very good too. A perfect place for lunch on a beach day.

Except for die-hard Ayo fans, with the nostalgy of cheap and good paella along with the show of Ayo cooking himself, we must admit today that the 10€ paella is good but not outstanding, and we can find better ones at same price at a 100-m distance with better taste and more loaded of sea fruits. The home wine is basic and not so cheap price-wise. I ❤️ paella yes, but now elsewhere

Pretty beach though gets quite busy. Google directions try to send you down a steep off road track from the top, but unnecessary as there’s a main road down and parking alongside.

Pretty beach! Good place for casual snorkelling and swimming. Beach can get crowded, but atmosphere is pleasant. Walk down is taxing but there is a reliable local bus service for €3 per person (cash only!)

This is a quiet beach given its location in the vicinity of Nerja. The water is clear, the bay is lovely to swim in and the walk from the car parking spaces up the hill is fine for even a moderately fit person. There’s a little beachside cafe and a kayak hire place. We didn’t use either but they seemed to be doing pretty well and people looked happy. The toilets are pretty grim, but at least they have them.

Beautiful small beach. We visited early October and no issues with parking. Very clear water, showers and toilet available and really nice scenery. Great place to bring your SUP for some exercise. If you have a snorkling set bring it too.

Food is very good and extremely filling, we could have easily gone with out starters. The male servers were very friendly but the lady at front of house has an air of arrogance about her which is unexplainable. Tried to make a reservation but told booked out for many days ahead, turned up on the night only to be seated. Witnessed others coming in to try make reservations for following days and immediately being told they were booked up. Either they are short staffed and trying to keep down the number of diners or else they base their decision on your appearance, what ever it was; it created a strange atmosphere. Would I return? Yes based on the quality of the food, but I wouldn’t rush when compared to the amount of extremely welcoming restaurants in Nerja.

Absolutely amazing experience all around. Went for my birthday dinner and the staff were absolutely fantastic. There were no seats left outside when reserving but they managed to get us one, we got a free aparatif of a delicious fish cake. The actual dinner was just fantastic. I got the duck and it was just an amazing mix of savoury from the duck with a sweeter sauce and sweet potato mash alongside. Drinks were cheep with a lot of varieties of wine to choose from. For dessert as well they came out with an icecream with a candle in it to celebrate. All the staff were just so lovely and really did their best to make it as fantastic of a night as possible. Not to mention the beautiful scenery and great opportunities for people watching. Could not recommend it more.

Lighting was austere. Service was sporadic but the male staff were friendly. Food was wonderful. Beef tetaki was amazing. We had an issue with flies/ bugs/ insects whatever you want to call them and unfortunately they staff didn't seem to care. Being from the UK , having to kill 23 bugs on my table during dinner, is an issue. Especially when no other tables seemed to be experiencing the same level of issues. Anyway, despite raising the issue 3 times, no resolution was sought and no one seemed to care.

Simply exceptional! The Service is 100/100; the ambiance of the restaurant is perfect, and most importantly, the food is possibly the nicest food we have ever experienced. My wife had a starter of scallops and a main of Turbot, both of which she loved. I had a starter of chicken, walnut and pear salad and main of fillet steak in teriyaki and black mushroom sauce. Both were stunning in taste and presentation. This is fine dining but at everyday prices. Amazing value for money. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Excellent food and service. Great sea views outside. Scallops were very nice. Sea bass & cod delicious. The caramelised fennel was divine. Vegetables cooked too hard for our liking, very crunchy. But maybe that’s personal preference? Brownie v nice, especially the praline ice cream. Complimentary cava at the end was a lovely touch.

We had the cod and the salmon and they didn’t disappoint. Super fresh ingredients and very tasty. Generous portions as well.

Fantastic restaurant. Great location. Great service. Super food. Sea bass was a generous portion. The mashed potato was highlight of the day for the kid. And the fillet was spot on. Every plate was clean.

I had a pizza here at about 17.00 today. The pizza was lovely and washed down with a nice pint of lager. Very well priced, a nice touch was the free olives and side salad. I was that impressed I marked it on my maps as a favourite, somewhere to come back to. However, things went awry when the bill came. It was exactly as I expected €12.5. I gave the waiter a €20 bill and was given €5.50 change ! I called the waiter over and pointed out this 'error'. I could immediately sense from his body language that this was, annoyingly, not a mistake. He took away the saucer of change and then returned with the correct change, saying it was now correct! I am sorry but this was not an accident, I am a seasoned traveller and I have never had such an experience ! A waiter that can not subtract 12.5 from 20 and arrive at 7.5 !

Ni una estrella , RUN AWAY !!!!!!! It was HORRIBLE , WE’VE WAITED FOR MORE THAN 1 HOUR AND IT WAS NOT EVEN GOOD . The waiter was very rude when we complained about it and told us that we should have gone to Burger King instead .

We've stayed right next door to Miralmar for the last two Summers. It is a cracking, family run spot with super friendly staff, great grub and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We' can't wait to go back in October

Great fresh food and polite welcoming experience, reasonably priced. Air conditioning inside and also used by Spaniards. Service was rather slow as lunch was busy, but all food freshly made, hot and all meals arrived together.

Mediocre to the core. Food, environment and service end to end. Avoid its trash. The service had no smile, no pace or anything resembling effort. Just utterly awefull, there are so many great places to eat within a few minutes please go there instead and avoid this tourist trap. Avoid.

Ended up paying for our drinks then leaving, only one person taking orders, no food seemed to come out of kitchen.

Pretty good beachside Restaurant, nice views of the Beach and Sea. Service is in the whole not bad, though when we asked for a Table near the front we were told by a miserable Waiter that the 4 or 5 tables were 'reserved' and he then directed us elsewhere 🫤 strangely we dined there for about 2hrs, nobody sat at the 4 or 5 'reserved tables'...🤔🫤 The food is pretty good, the Wagyu Beef Burger was very good, it also came with a huge piece of Cheese (a bit like Camembert 😎), Caesar Salad was good too. The Price was not too bad, I just wish the Waiters were a bit more 'customer focused' 😉 , that said, I'd still go back there again to ear👍

Rincón del Sol offers a modern beachside interior and a diverse menu, which creates an appealing atmosphere. However, there is significant room for improvement in the food quality. The gambas al pil pil could benefit from more seasoning, and the sea bream papillot was overly sweet and had some bones that detracted from the experience. The grilled squid was undercooked. There was also a large amount of flies, a common problem for beachside eateries but easily solved with anti fly candles in every table. On a positive note, the service at Rincón del Sol is commendable; the staff are attentive and hardworking, even during busy periods. With some adjustments to the menu, this restaurant has potential.

Absolutely one of the best places to eat in Nerja. Definitely our favorite restaurant. Food is so well prepared, and matches with the wine they serve. End the evening with well served Pornstar martini and martini espresdo Ricón del Sol is the place to be if you are looking for a perfekt experience

To be honest, I was sceptical at first that the food can be good in a fairly touristic area, at Burriana beach. I was wrong! The food was excellent and service very attentive. The location is perfect, beachfront with the nice view of the sea. The cherry on the cake was a mini ice cream served with the bill 😄 - excellent idea on a hot day

Excellent food by the beach! We had the famous tuna steak and we loved it. The desserts are also great and there are quite enough healthy alternatives as well.

We all really enjoyed our food: baked salmon with shrimp sauce, bacon-wrapped cod, goat cheese salad and hamburger. We also had two very unique and delicious desserts. Portion sizes are good. Everything beautifully presented. Priced as you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Service wasn’t bad. And even though it’s an outdoor restaurant, the temperature was very comfortable with the roof overhead. Will definitely repeat.

An incredible and must see spot in Nerja. The views from the balcon are breathtaking and a must see, especially at sunset. Its usually busy in high season so bare that in mind, but evening time/night time is a must. The area is bustling with people and sometimes has music and bands playing. There is always something going on in the town centre.

Don’t miss it if you’re in the area. Amazing views, restaurants close by and near the old town of Nerja. Bit too crowded though, in off season it should be much pleasant, with few people around 🤣

Nice pleasant experience walking down to the Balcon overlooking the sea. The paraquets can be heard around the area. Shared a very nice pizza and decent beer in the hotel bar closest to the Balcon edge.

Balcón de Europa is a nice viewpoint with a beautiful panorama of the coastline and the sea. It’s well maintained and easy to reach from the town center. The area around it is lively, with cafés, restaurants, and small shops. It can get quite crowded, especially during the day, so it’s best to visit early in the morning or later in the evening if you want a quieter experience. Overall, it’s worth a visit for the view and atmosphere, though it feels more like a quick stop than a place to spend much time

A wonderful, unique, and exceptional viewpoint in the town of Nerja – they say it offers the most beautiful views on this part of the coast. We stopped here on our way from Cartagena to Malaga – there's an underground car park in the centre. Nerja is one of those local, white coastal towns with an interesting attraction – caves with stalactites and stalagmites.

Fantastic little town, can be very busy at times, service is very slow in most bars, I personally feel the Spanish people are not very friendly, but is no denying it is a beautifulutiful place

What's not to love in a lookout viewing! It's beautiful. Plenty of shops and restaurants as well. We paid to park within 4 minutes to balcony. Well worth the visit if in the area.

Our favourite restaurant in Nerja. Tapas are absolutely delicious, the ones with the drinks and the main tapas. The veal is delicious 🤤 we went twice and we’ll definitely be back.

Pretty busy restaurant. Took a while to get seated, but if you think it’s full it probably isn’t. There’s lots of seats in the very back. There’s also a rooftop patio, but it was very hot. The service wasn’t great. All of the servers were running around like chickens with their heads cut off, going one place to another. Don’t expect five star fancy service. They were trying. We had to get our own forks and plates as they didn’t serve them to us. However, the lack of service was made up for by the incredible tapas. Everything was amazing, and so different (coming from Canada). The eggplant fries were something I’ve never tried before and were such a good idea. Grilled Squid was also awesome. Still would come back!

Our favourite tapas bar in Spain! We traveled for 7 days around and nowhere could beat this place. You order any drink (water included) and you get a free tapas! Drinks are cheap and they have a large selection of beer and wines to choose from. We had a variety of tapas and them all were delicious - really high quality. They range from seafood to pork and beef tapas. The experience is really nice! The service is also very good, attentive and kind waiters (even that they are absolutely busy). Also tapas come quite quickly- it is really good. We absolutely loved this place and can’t recommend enough!

Great tapas bar where you buy a drink and can choose a free tapas. All tapas we had were very tasty and of a high quality. We went almost everyday of our stay and had fast and efficient service.

What’s a wonderful tapas bar Great food lovely service, a very good choice of Tapas to order to come with your drink. There is also a larger menu if you would like a bigger meal. Some wonderful barrel tables outside on the pavement with stools around. Very friendly stuff a definite recommendation when visiting Nerja 🇪🇸 I have added more photos because we have returned to this fabulous tapas bar, We all definitely recommend the lasagna tapas with a glass of red 🍷

Had a very good meal at Bar El Pulguilla. There was a bit of confusion at the beginning—the staff initially didn’t want us sitting in the front section if we were only ordering tapas. Once that was clarified, we got seated and everything went smoothly from there. We ordered the fritura variada, grilled calamari, cod fish, langostinos, and a hamburger tapa. Every dish was delicious, especially the calamari and cod fish—we liked them so much we ordered both again. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The best local experience you can get! The service is amazing and super fast. They do speak English! Which is amazing. The menu is easy to read, there are food pics. This places serves many locals. We took beef, which was nothing special (we didn't expect anything facy for such price), but the food arrived fast and we did not have to wait long time for anything ar that spot.

A nice and lively place with great atmosphere. Feels authentic and the food was good. Not great but good. Service was good. But it is a place where you get the feeling of in and out.

Traditional restaurant in a touristic area. They have lots of table in the back of the restaurant so just come in. Dinner was nice we tried lots of half portion and all of them were tasty and good. Service was nice they are well organise. Almost no waiting. Prices were correct. I would recommend if you are looking for tradionnal Andalusian meals.

Nice place, good food, can take a full or half portion.

This place is off the hook busy with insane amounts of people. But the food is delicious and the service is prompt and polite. The price is reasonable. Tomatoes salad was good but the octopus and the calamari was some of the best I ever had. While this place is not particularly fancy and is definitely touristy, it gets 5 stars because it handles the crowds well, the food is delicious, the music is good, the price is right and the atmosphere is fun.

Great little museum. It's strength is the finds from the nerja cave. Some really nice stone arrowheads, pottery shards etc. the display panels offer an excellent overview of the Phoenician, Roman and arab periods.

Interesting museum and a decent price. Loved learning more about the Nerja Caves and the city of Nerja. I didn't know the Olympic torch was carried through the coty in 1992. The movie about the caves was ver educational. The exhibit on the music festival was fun to learn. Not a bad way to spend an hour.

Great museum, covering prehistory, Phoenicians, Romans, Islamic, Spanish reconquest, right up to the modern day. Not afraid to tackle the Spanish civil war and aftermath with the Maquis fight against the Franco regime till the 1950s. Then on to tourism,the caves, industrial age and up to date. A great place to escape the heat in summer mad the rain of winter. Always visit and support local museums

A very nice place to visit in conjunction with the Cave of Nerja. The kids audio game made the visit very interesting for my 8-year-old son. The exhibitions are very interesting and privide lots of information about the area. A must see!

It was a good visit after seeing the actual Nerja caves. The museum explains the history of Nerja town. It also explains the history of the Nerja caves. It has lot of artifacts from Nerja caves explaining everything. The audio guide was quite helpful to explain the artifacts.

Great little museum nice that there's no charge if you have retained your entry to the caves within 10 days. Very interesting artwork in exh. Staff lovely and very helpful.

Probably one of the best restaurants in Nerja currently. Great food and excellent service from the attentive staff who look after you very well. Small but menu, but a great selection of fine foods to choose from prepared and present well. Will definitely be making future visits.

This is the second time we visited this restaurant and it was amazing. We drove one hour to get here and it's worth it. The food is toplevel. We had entrees, main and desserts and everything was perfect. It's a must try in Nerja. Highly recommend restaurant in Nerja. Very good food and excellent service.

If you are planning to go to Nerja and want a fantastic meal please go to Unico. Service second to none waitress staff amazing and food is to die for. I've eaten in worse Mitchell star restaurants. So go we are going back again. Pasta first class, tuna starter unreal and duck main to die for!!!

Fried octopus was an amazing meal, one of the best starters I’ve had in a long while which I highly recommend to anyone. Then the main courses were all great with top tier pasta and fish and. Whit great staff and with excellent gluten-free options I highly recommend Unico. Need to book in advance during high season

Solid spot for a drink and a great atmosphere. Don't bother sitting against the balcony as it faces a parking lot. Vibes are fun. Why people go there. Watch out, you may wait for a bit for a seat to open. Drinks are OK. Their Mojito Volk's was fine. Best value was the Sangria cup, which even that was ok compared to the sangria at other places. They give you free snacks which is nice too.

We had are pre-wedding night party here on 08/05 with about 70 guests (can hold up to 90). Food was great, service was amazing and views were stunning. Its a really cool place, everyone loved it. Would recommend for a party.

Great bar. Entrance is via the elevator in the restaurant. Vast choice of drinks, not too expensive, and a great location in the middle of Nerja with excellent views of the surrounding area.

Amazing. The views are great, the staff are very friendly. The food is perfect but a little bit expensive. Don't be out off if there aren't many people inside, the food, drinks and service is perfect. The windows could do with being cleaned but other than that it's a great place.

We visited this place yesterday at 8 pm. There was a lot of space in the room, the waiter greeted us nicely. The waiter is a very polite man which is a huge plus for the restaurant. We love the instrumental music that was playing back then. And the food was delicious! (although the paella I ordered was a little burnt). We will be pleased to remember this place with a beautiful view

At 7pm on a Saturday night in September we were the only diners. However, the food and service were excellent. We had croquettas, which turned out to be stuffed with chicken, and then vegetable paella. This was really lovely, full of all kinds of vegetable. The bill for two with wine came to a little under 50 euros. The views over the sea are wonderful and we watched the sun set. An excellent experience all round.

The view is great. The service is perfect. The food is really great. We had the solomillo, it was super tender and well seasoned. The paella was one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Great view! Really good food, excellent service. It was empty when we were there, kind of sad, but I hope people keep coming to this restaurant to keep it afloat. We had our last dinner in Nerja here as a special occasion, well worth it. A little more expensive than the restaurants around Nerja but I think it was well worth it. Only complaint is that it was a little warm inside until the sun went down

Great recommendation by our local Spanish friend. We really enjoyed our lunch here. They did clever amuse-bouche bites. Make sure you get their crunch shrimp starter! The 2 seafood dishes (both fish) were the single 2 best prepared filets I’ve had in a very long time. We were most pleased with this formal lunch. Oh - and the olive butter is to die for.

Best restaurant in Nerja by a mile! I had two wonderful lunches there once trying the tasting menu (go with this) and normal menu (also food but not the best value) my server I think was from S Africa or Oz was awesome ! Super knowledgeable and kind, the food was wonderful each bite bursting with flavor and creativity. Hats off to the chef for using their skills with all ingredients available to them. The world needs more restaurants like this one! If you’re within at least an hour drive you must come here! Don’t be scared by it being city center (parking wise) there is an under ground park place as it’s next to a museum! 7 stars

We had lunch here and it was 11/10! The steak with foie gras and truffle was delicious, and the coulant de turrón dessert was the perfect finish. Great food, atmosphere and professional staff - totally worth it! 🍷

Fine dining isn’t something you may consider when in Nerja for some winter sun. It’s probably a toss up between Sollun and Oliva for the town’s best tasting menu style meal, and as Sollun was closed for holidays we punted for Oliva. We went for the €65 tasting menu and the €25 wine pairing (yes that’s €25 for 6 glasses of wine). The food was amazing, pretty surprisingly so. We were given 3 appetisers, a palate cleansing sorbet between plates of fish and meat, and finished with a brilliant dessert. The service was amazing, too, professional without being snobby and really took their time to explain each dish and wine. And the wine, it’s all interesting Spanish wine much of which we hadn’t heard of before, and was paired brilliantly. It’s not a cheap meal but amazing value for money for a special occasion.
