1Frigiliana

Mentioned on
10 lists
Frigiliana, a picturesque town in southern Spain, is famous for its Moorish old quarter and narrow streets adorned with ceramic mosaics. The 16th-century Renaissance palace, El Ingenio, now houses a sugar cane factory and the Archaeological Museum showcases Neolithic bones, Phoenician pottery, and a 16th-century dagger. The village is divided into an old original part and a newer section.

Beach
El Salón beach in Nerja, Spain is a relaxed and simple sandy beach with palm trees, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. It stretches over 200 meters along the Mediterranean Sea, offering a tranquil atmosphere away from the crowds. The access road may be challenging to find, making it a quiet place to enjoy the crashing waves. The beach provides standard amenities such as lifeguards, showers, and nearby restaurants and bars.
Small beach but the water quality is great especially on calm days. Almost transparent.
Matthäus R — Google review
It is a small beach surrounded by white buildings that exude the charm of a traditional Spanish seaside town. Amenities are relatively limited, but being located just below the Balcón de Europa offers great accessibility—though it can be a bit noisy.
Seokjin H — Google review
Great views, clean water, next to the hotel
Nik — Google review
A cute little beach under Balcon de Europa. The descent is quite long but worth the effort. The Mediterranean Sea in all its beauty and above the white houses of Nerja.
Mimi S — Google review
A small and cozy beach with plenty of space, with clear and clean water. Sunbeds must be reserved in advance, but it's extremely expensive compared to Playa Burriana (€22 for two beds vs €6 per bed at Burriana). Bring your own chairs or blankets, and parasol in stead. A small cafe is located there, with good food and cold refreshments at decent prices.
Daniel J — Google review
The captivating color of the water at this beach is remarkably more turquoise than that of any nearby beaches, presenting a breathtaking view that entices anyone to dive in from the overlooking plaza. Despite its limited size, which naturally leads to it being more crowded, the beach remains a must-visit destination. Its allure is undeniable, making the occasional hustle and bustle of the crowd worth navigating. The beach is particularly family-friendly, offering a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors of all ages. Adjacent to the beach, there is a high-quality hotel restaurant that adds to the overall experience, providing convenient access to delicious meals and refreshing drinks without having to stray far from the sand and sea. This combination of stunning natural beauty, convenience, and amenities makes the beach not just a place to visit, but a destination to experience fully. Whether it's lounging on the sand, swimming in the clear turquoise waters, or enjoying a meal with a view, the beach and its surroundings offer a complete package for a memorable day out or an extended stay.
Cecilia S — Google review
Nice beach just below hotels and restaurant. Chairs available but not sure if you rent it saved for hotel guests. Water was clear, clean and sandy to walk on. Beautiful!

Walking into Ayo Nerja, you are transported to a warm and inviting Mediterranean restaurant. The intimate setting allows for a more personal dining experience, with the option to eat right on the beachfront. The extensive menu offers a variety of regional seafood dishes as well as baked fideuà noodles. From paellas cooked over an open flame to more flavourful options, there is something for everyone at this popular Nerja restaurant.
The place was super busy but well organized. There was a line to get in but it moves quickly and all the food came super quick. Food was good quality and large portion. Paella is popular with chicken and seafood. Not much ambiance with plastic chairs but it's a chirringuito de playa so it's usually like this anyway.
Rodd G — Google review
Really good place. Basic seating, no frills service and great value paella gets my vote. It's not a posh place and it's not fine dining but it is decent tasty food at a good price and watching them cook the paellan for s an experience. Eat here
Frank L — Google review
We stopped by this beach bar specifically to try the paella, as locals had recommended it as a popular spot for great paella. We were definitely not disappointed – the portions were generous, with both prawns and chicken. The atmosphere itself lacked a bit of coziness, but it’s understandable given the large number of guests and the goal of serving everyone as quickly as possible. It was interesting to watch the staff working so smoothly and as a team, with each person focused on their own tasks. I would definitely come back here again for the paella.
Tomas — Google review
Beautiful place with amazing views. The staff were nice and friendly. The salmon and entrecote steak were nice but the 1kg steak in the bone was at first undercooked so it was taken back and cooked a little more but it was full of sinew and fat so we actually left more than we could eat and the only winner with that was the dog as we took the bone home for him.
Dennis A — Google review
Fresh Paella at the beach. The portions are big for what you pay. A plate of paella with chicken and shrimps is €10,- Wich it’s full of. The staff is friendly and you’re served quickly.
Xander — Google review
Loved seeing the huge paellas being made. Tasted very good too. A perfect place for lunch on a beach day.
Hegevdp — Google review
A nice place to eat and drink for a couple or a big family. Service is OK, there's no waiting for food, they bring dishes as thought it's a pits top in F1;) Fish and multiple salads is tasty, paella also good. Plates are enormous! Great value for money!
Andy B — Google review
Except for die-hard Ayo fans, with the nostalgy of cheap and good paella along with the show of Ayo cooking himself, we must admit today that the 10€ paella is good but not outstanding, and we can find better ones at same price at a 100-m distance with better taste and more loaded of sea fruits. The home wine is basic and not so cheap price-wise. I ❤️ paella yes, but now elsewhere

Beach
Playa de la Calahonda is a small, pebbly beach nestled between rocky cliffs, making it one of the most famous and iconic beaches in Nerja. Located next to Balcon de Europa, this 120-meter beach offers stunning views and easy accessibility from the town center. While it can get crowded due to its central location, visitors can explore nearby swimming caves like Playa El Chorrillo for a quieter experience.
I visited April 2025 so the beach during the week was very quiet and peaceful. I purchased a sun parasol from a local shop €13 and sat for hours peacefully reading a book listening to the waves crashing the shore. Toilets / showers were available and I found the beach to be clean. The sea water is clear but cold and I braved a swim. Access to beach is steep and no cafe/bar facilities so take drinking water etc...
APW 6 — Google review
The water might be good on a perfect day, but we’ve been there on a day after wavy sea, so the water was dirty and the beach was overcrowded. Wouldn’t go back.
Giuseppe L — Google review
Best beach in Nerja. Cozy and amazing water. Very beautiful
Anna — Google review
One of the paradise beaches of the Costa Del Sol. Surrounded by cliffs and with paths leading to it and to smaller beaches nearby. Of course, it can be popular, but a bit further you can find a piece of your own beach between the rocks.
Lukasz T — Google review
Small but beatiful beach. We enjoyed it at the beginning of October, when it was populated, but not crowded. Unfortunately there is no place / cabin to change into swimming clothes.
Noemi P — Google review
Beautiful little beach. It was a little busy after 1/2pm but pretty quiet (no music). The sand was mostly clean, and there were toilets and showers nearby as well as bins. Close proximity to the plaza which was great when we needed to escape the midday sun. Water was very clear and we even braved going for a swim.
JJ B — Google review
Great little beach in Nerja. The beach is half sand, half round pebbles. There are showers and a foot washing station available. Access to the beach is free. Great views of the balcony del Europa and the Mediterranean sea.
Beat S — Google review
It's pretty but busy and not very clean, understandably limited due to its location. Fine for a short visit but I wouldn't recommend for a day at the beach. The ice cream hut only accepts cash.

Beach
Playa de Burriana is the largest and most popular beach in the area, located just a 15-minute walk from the town center. During summer, this Blue Flag beach offers a wide range of activities such as water sports, seafront promenades, and play areas for children. It's known for its fine golden sand and has been featured on TV shows. Visitors can enjoy various water sports like jet skiing and sea kayaking or simply relax on sunbeds available for hire.
This beach in Nerja is clean, beautiful, the water is clear and it has plenty of restaurants and clean bathrooms. There is also plenty of free street parking. There are also plenty of services to rent kayaks, paddle boards, etc. is a very fun beach. A little rocky for sure, so I would recommend water shoes.
Carol L — Google review
Beautiful and silent beach to spend the day :) Instead of sand you’ll find little rocks, so it might be uncomfortable to walk without sandals.
Letícia L — Google review
Be careful with this guy…I reserved 2 sunbeds for my parents because they speak in our native language only.. and when he saw 4 of us (+me and bro) he sent us out…I told him that no need bed for me and bro beach we go directly from to the sea..he just said “no no no” and clear us out..hyena…unfriendly..disappointed in Spain Later: for sure he was arguing with others as well.. (We stayed just because my mom cannot sit down directly in the sand)
Péter F — Google review
amazing beach. one of the most beautiful beaches i’ve been to
Abina N — Google review
💦 Cristal clear water 🏖️ Beach sand is mixed with pebbles. Sunbeds are available for renting (6€ each) however most of them were already reserved at 11 am. Ski jets &  parassiling available for rent as well. Close by food opens around noon. All in all a beach worth of spending the day at.
Francisc S — Google review
Love the place Lots to do and explore Lovely Spanish bars and restaurants Lots of shops Water sports Sports Prem football in bars People are lovely Tuti Fruiti square for the younger ones (18+ Lively pubs etc ) Tapas Just everything
Jojo — Google review
Stunning part of the world, beautiful stretch of beach with swimmable water and lots of interesting areas. Good place to collect shells and sea glass.
Samantha R — Google review
One of the beaches I would highly recommend going to! If you're staying around Malaga main city, or the outskirts, this beach is only a 30-45min drive out and offers plenty once you are there! Views, Weather, beautiful sun, sand running through your toes and the water...oh super refreshing and can't be missed! The beach is massive and offers many beach areas to rent sunbeds, cabana's or even just a simple tent if needed right on the beach. Not to mention, tens of restaurants and bars offering you drinks, snacks, lunch and more while there to keep you hydrated throughout your morning and afternoon! When the weather is pleasant, would also recommend some kayaking, snorkeling or any of the water activities they offer there at super amazing prices, as low as 10 euros!

Bar El Pulguilla is a popular spot in Nerja known for its laid-back atmosphere and delicious fried fish specialties. Situated in a central street near the Balcony of Europe, it offers stunning views from its terrace. The bar is famous for its seafood tapas and fresh roast pepper salads. It's a favorite among locals, serving up some of the best tapas in Nerja.
The most local experience I've had in Nerja. Great simple authentic tapas. Order a drink, choose your free tapa. Prompt service as well, and they tolerated my butchered Spanish!
Scott M — Google review
Had a very good meal at Bar El Pulguilla. There was a bit of confusion at the beginning—the staff initially didn’t want us sitting in the front section if we were only ordering tapas. Once that was clarified, we got seated and everything went smoothly from there. We ordered the fritura variada, grilled calamari, cod fish, langostinos, and a hamburger tapa. Every dish was delicious, especially the calamari and cod fish—we liked them so much we ordered both again. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Tina ( — Google review
The best local experience you can get! The service is amazing and super fast. They do speak English! Which is amazing. The menu is easy to read, there are food pics. This places serves many locals. We took beef, which was nothing special (we didn't expect anything facy for such price), but the food arrived fast and we did not have to wait long time for anything ar that spot.
Ell L — Google review
A nice and lively place with great atmosphere. Feels authentic and the food was good. Not great but good. Service was good. But it is a place where you get the feeling of in and out.
Alexander A — Google review
Traditional restaurant in a touristic area. They have lots of table in the back of the restaurant so just come in. Dinner was nice we tried lots of half portion and all of them were tasty and good. Service was nice they are well organise. Almost no waiting. Prices were correct. I would recommend if you are looking for tradionnal Andalusian meals.
Nicolas B — Google review
Our favourite tapas bar. Free tapas with every drink. Did all the fish options today, 8 for €20, excellent! Back tomorrow for the meat options.
Sharon M — Google review
Nice place, good food, can take a full or half portion.
Rolandas N — Google review
This place is off the hook busy with insane amounts of people. But the food is delicious and the service is prompt and polite. The price is reasonable. Tomatoes salad was good but the octopus and the calamari was some of the best I ever had. While this place is not particularly fancy and is definitely touristy, it gets 5 stars because it handles the crowds well, the food is delicious, the music is good, the price is right and the atmosphere is fun.

The Museum of the village of Nerja, situated in the heart of Nerja's historical center near Balcon de Europa, offers an immersive journey through the history of the area from Paleolithic times to the 20th century. The exhibits showcase a diverse range of cultures that have influenced Nerja, including the Phoenicians and Moors. Visitors can explore themed areas detailing the origins and resources of the settlement, as well as learn about significant discoveries such as the Nerja caves.
Museum of the village of Nerja is a must see! We took a full tour of the museum which was so informative. The perfect place to learn about the culture and history of the municipality of Nerja and many secrets of the Nerja Cave. Then, we did a tour of the Nerja Cave: one of the most spectacular caves in Spain. Declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 2006. (:

Great little museum. It's strength is the finds from the nerja cave. Some really nice stone arrowheads, pottery shards etc. the display panels offer an excellent overview of the Phoenician, Roman and arab periods.
Jamie H — Google review
Great museum, covering prehistory, Phoenicians, Romans, Islamic, Spanish reconquest, right up to the modern day. Not afraid to tackle the Spanish civil war and aftermath with the Maquis fight against the Franco regime till the 1950s. Then on to tourism, the caves, industrial age and up to date. A great place to escape the heat in summer mad the rain of winter. Always visit and support local museums

Got a combined ticket to visit both cave and museum in town. Worth the visit! Easy access with elevators and ramps. Help you see how the cave was discovered and understand how this natures wonder is created.

The beach is lined with restaurants, tapas bars, and shops, making it a popular destination for visitors. Playa Burriana also features smooth sand and gentle surf, making it ideal for families and kids.
Nice beach, fun vibes. Lots of activities. Parking a bit difficult but doable. Lots of beds are reserved so apparently that's a thing. You can reserve a bed ahead of time. The water is nice and blue and clear. The surroundings are beautiful. Medium to high in terms of how busy it is
Jelmer — Google review
We visited twice. In the first day the water was very calm and the beach had pebbles - 2 days later the beach was sandy and the water cold and “angry”. The entrance in the water is pretty deep. At every 2 steps the difference is more than 50cm depth. After 2 meters I wasn’t touching the bottom anymore. The color is wonderful, a very clean turquoise. If you want sun-beds you have to come early and you still might have low chances because people do reservations in advance. But there is room on the beach for towels and own umbrella if you are inspired enough to bring one.
Andreea D — Google review
The beach is set in a stunning natural landscape, with soft sand and a very welcoming atmosphere. There is free parking available right next to the beach, though it’s best to arrive early as spaces fill up quickly. On-site, you’ll find public restrooms and free water stations, which is a great convenience. There are also plenty of options nearby to grab a meal or enjoy a refreshing drink. For those looking for activities, you can rent a kayak or simply relax under a parasol with sunbeds. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot and definitely a place worth returning to.
Jakub — Google review
Very nice beach, lots of people and umbrellas, but everyone can find a place. Lots of parking but very hard to find a free spot, but with pacience it can be done. The entrace in the sea water is kind of rough, water gets over your dead pretty fast from the shore. Lots of restaurants and shopping store near the beach.
Victor N — Google review
Fine gravel beach, that has public toilets close by. Nice clean beach and clear sea, good for snorkeling. Promenade is lined with shops, Bars & Restaurants
Cliff B — Google review
We arrived here at the beach around 1 PM and none of the beach clubs had any places left as they were already full and we couldn’t rent any sunbeds or umbrellas, so instead of leaving this beach, we decided to buy beach chairs and a umbrella from a store nearby which costed us around hundred euros for two people, but this allowed us to pick a spot that we would prefer a bit further from people. The water is very cold I would say but the beach is well organized with showers and many bars or restaurants around it so you could really enjoy your beach day but maybe if you’re really into swimming not really the best place to be.
Mert I — Google review
Lively and buzzing family beach. Great reasonably priced restaurants. Clean and free toilets. Definitely recommend the kayaking, which is great fun. Pedalos are great fun too…as long as a sudden squall does not appear. One of my favourite European family beaches.

The Cliffs of Maro-Cerro Gordo, located between Axarquia and Costa del Sol in Nerja, offer tranquil walks with picturesque views of mountains, beaches, and coves. This nature reserve spans 14 kilometers and features hidden coves beneath cliffs, creating a unique natural environment with small pebble beaches. The area is home to rich biodiversity including rock formations, caves, posidonia beds, sponges, corals, molluscs, and various fish species.
A gorgeous but challenging hike. Wear good hiking shoes and be ready for some uneven, rocky terrain with a good amount of elevation change. I would not recommend the hike for beginners. The views are incredible and the parking is free. Yes, it's worth it!
Ken W — Google review
Visited the Cliffs of Maro-Cerro Gordo and it was absolutely breathtaking! This 12-kilometer coastal trail offers some of the most spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean I've ever seen. The highlight was definitely the Torre de Maro viewpoint - on clear days you can even see the coast of Morocco The area is a UNESCO-protected nature reserve with amazing biodiversity. We spotted mountain goats along the trail and the crystal-clear waters are perfect for snorkeling The marine life here is incredible, including rare orange coral and groupers Worth spending a full day here if you love nature and don't mind moderate hiking difficulty. Bring sun protection and plenty of water! Perfect spot for anyone seeking tranquil beaches away from the crowds.

Clear water, great for snorkelling. If you don't fancy the walk down pay the 2.5Euro to get the bus down (and back at the end of the day) Get there early if you want a parking space, even earlier on the weekend as it's a popular spot.

Playa la Caletilla is a hidden gem located just below the iconic Balcon de Europa in Nerja, a charming coastal town on the Malaga province. This picturesque beach offers stunning views of flower-adorned cliffs and the sparkling blue sea, making it an ideal spot for families with young children. The journey to this lovely cove involves wandering through narrow streets lined with pristine white walls that evoke a Santorini vibe.
Indeed, this beach is Playa El Salon but unfortunatly I cannot change the name. It is a very beautiful, cozy, intimate free acces beach. Ypu can spend some time admiring the wavesand the silence. There are also very small pebbles everywhere. The toilet is free acces and pretty clean. The best part on this beach are the tiny houses, I guess they are private, but they look stunning. I could spend some time there.

La Caletilla is a very small beach (max around 50m long and 15m deep) to the right (west) of the Balcón de Europa in Nerja. At times, weather conditions result in the beach disappearing completely.
Rob G — Google review
Caletilla Beach is located just below the Balcón de Europa on the western side and is one of the smallest beaches in Nerja. Because it is so small many people believe it is a private beach as it’s located just below Hotel El Balcón, but it’s a public beach that anyone can visit.

Hiking area
El Cielo, also known as "Heaven," is the highest mountain in the region, standing at 1,500 meters above sea level. There are various accessible routes to reach its summit, offering stunning views of the Andalusian Coast and Costa del Sol. The trek begins near Nerja Caves and spans approximately 20km round-trip. While it's not a simple stroll, the journey is worth it for the legendary panoramic vistas from the peak.
Arduous and challenging terrain for much of the climb, particularly towards the peak. The access from near the caves car park is pretty easy, but only attempt the summit in your very best flipflops. Take a jacket and plenty of water. Begin as early as you can.
Andy G — Google review
We did half of the hike so 5h in total, but the view was still wonderful!
Théo B — Google review
Fantastic hike. This was my second time going up El Cielo. Started at 1:30pm (which was late) however I stocked up with 5litres if water. Although heavy, it was much needed in the heat. Ascent took 4 hours with several 1 minute rests. The last 200 m are tough and there is some scrambling required. Descent took 2 and 1/2 hours. Note of caution in descending from the peak - I confused a goat track with the trial and wondered quite a bit off the path requiring me to go back up. Word of advice - keep an eye out for the trees and use them as landmarks in case you do wander off the trail. Views are amazing and is your reward.

Restaurante Oliva offers a modern Mediterranean dining experience with its tasting menus and wine pairings, all set in a sleek and elegant ambiance. Located just a stone's throw away from the Balcon de Europa, this restaurant has garnered praise for its excellent food and service. The establishment opened its doors in 2011 under the leadership of Carlos Pardo and Kim Ranzaijin. Patrons can enjoy spectacular views along the coast while indulging in delicious cuisine at this highly acclaimed restaurant.
So delicious! Perfect combination of comfort tastes with experimental dishes. We loved it.

Great recommendation by our local Spanish friend. We really enjoyed our lunch here. They did clever amuse-bouche bites. Make sure you get their crunch shrimp starter! The 2 seafood dishes (both fish) were the single 2 best prepared filets I’ve had in a very long time. We were most pleased with this formal lunch. Oh - and the olive butter is to die for.

Best restaurant in Nerja by a mile! I had two wonderful lunches there once trying the tasting menu (go with this) and normal menu (also food but not the best value) my server I think was from S Africa or Oz was awesome ! Super knowledgeable and kind, the food was wonderful each bite bursting with flavor and creativity. Hats off to the chef for using their skills with all ingredients available to them. The world needs more restaurants like this one! If you’re within at least an hour drive you must come here! Don’t be scared by it being city center (parking wise) there is an under ground park place as it’s next to a museum! 7 stars

Fine dining isn’t something you may consider when in Nerja for some winter sun. It’s probably a toss up between Sollun and Oliva for the town’s best tasting menu style meal, and as Sollun was closed for holidays we punted for Oliva. We went for the €65 tasting menu and the €25 wine pairing (yes that’s €25 for 6 glasses of wine). The food was amazing, pretty surprisingly so. We were given 3 appetisers, a palate cleansing sorbet between plates of fish and meat, and finished with a brilliant dessert. The service was amazing, too, professional without being snobby and really took their time to explain each dish and wine. And the wine, it’s all interesting Spanish wine much of which we hadn’t heard of before, and was paired brilliantly. It’s not a cheap meal but amazing value for money for a special occasion.

Restaurante La Puntilla is a must-visit seafood restaurant in Nerja, offering freshly caught fish and made-to-order paella. Located on Bolivia Street, it's known for its superbly prepared gambas al pil-pil and a variety of tapas, but the fresh fried fish steals the show. The restaurant provides super fast service and is conveniently situated near parking and other local attractions like Caves at Nerja.
Delicious seafood, fast and friendly service, and great value for money. Everything was fresh and full of flavor, especially the sardines and Russian salad. Local vibe, no tourist trap. A real gem in Nerja!

We ordered a small portion of tuna salad, which turned out to be not so small — more than enough for two ladies. We also had baby squid and octopus legs. The baby squid were grilled, and it seemed the ends were slightly overcooked, as they tasted a bit bitter. Overall, not bad. Maybe there are tastier dishes on the menu. The waiter didn’t speak English, so placing the order was a bit difficult.
Elena F — Google review
I have choose this place as reviews were great, when I arrived only 1 person was present on the floor, who stretched himself between serving food, drinks, sitting new tables, taking orders, cleaning etc. Had to wait long for taking my order and paying my bill. I decided to try aubergine with honey-was not impressed and couldnt finish a small portion -its massive! Manchego cheese served just 6 slices of cheese, not jam or honey with it as you get used to it. Pil pil lagostinos-overpriced and doesn’t worth it, dirty inside and not so many for the price, you can try better pil pil somewhere else.

Where do I start? It’s a local, Spanish, simple amazing place to come to. We have the wonderful staff, one of them David (in the pic), what a kind, lively and sweet man! The feeling you get when you come here is incredible - it’s like coming home to your family! They have fresh fish, great tapas, actually anything you order is great. Please try the baby calamares, the pork skewers and the Pil-Pil! If you wanna feel the love of Spain - a visit here is a MUST. My family have been in Nerja several years - my mom says the calamares (not fried) is the best she ever eaten in Nerja. Do yourself a favor and visit Restaurante La Puntilla❤️❤️❤️

This was our first lunch at this restaurant, and honestly, I expected a bit more. The rejos were tasty and the tuna salad was fresh, which I appreciated. However, the Petits Calmars seemed overcooked — at least they looked a bit burnt and had a noticeable bitter aftertaste. All in all, not terrible, but I believe there are better options around.

Restaurante El Refugio is a highly regarded dining spot in Nerja, known for its charming outdoor terrace and multilingual service. The menu features delectable options such as mini chorizo and pil pil prawns, leading up to their renowned seafood paella. Established in 1970, this authentic restaurant prioritizes organic ingredients, many of which are grown on-site.
A true gem, hands down one of the best fillet steaks I have ever had. Cooked to perfection with amazing flavour and a mouthwatering sauce. We came back here after a previous amazing experiences several years ago and it hasn’t changed one bit! Just as memorable. The chap that runs the place is engaging and funny. He really tries with the guests which makes it have a special touch and all his staff follow suit with a lovely couple of ladies also serving us. Don’t hesitate, come here for a magical steak and wonderful evening.

Absolutely amazing. Went here for my last night in Nerja with my spouse and was not disappointed at all. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and me and my spouse shared lots of laughs with them throughout our night. Nestled in the heart of Nerja, Sollun Restaurante is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Despite its unassuming location within a bustling shopping area, Sollun's interior radiates sophistication and style. Guests are treated to meticulously crafted dishes that showcase the chef's extensive training in Michelin-starred establishments.
We had the most amazing meal last night. The flavors were absolutely divine, and the presentation was impeccable. We had a really nice Christmas dinner at Sollun. We picked the 5 course set menu "sol" with wine pairing. Nice atmosphere, good service. Food was very good, but not mind-blowing. Good price/quality though! Favorite course was the deer, paired with a cab sav from the North of Spain.

What an absolutely amazing restaurant, an absolutely must visit for all foodies whilst in Nerja. The atmosphere is great, very friendly staff and a beautiful venue. The food... WOW! Every course was a masterpiece, and to see the chef and his pure love for food made it a fantastic experience. Gracias desde el fondo de mi corazón.

My sister booked a table for us at Sollun. It was our first time there. The staff were super nice and friendly, they’re good with kids too. We looked through the menu and our waiter was more than helpful suggesting dishes and explaining everything. First the amuse-bouche was cream cheese cones with mackerel and crispy onion. The presentation as well as the taste were amazing. Later for our appetizers, we ordered beef tartare and scallops. They divided it into four portions for us (we were four). My sister ordered the pigeon in orange glaze something and she absolutely loved it. As for me and her kids, we all ordered the steak. Again the kids shared a dish, but the chef prepared it seoerately as of it was a single order, cutting the steak in half with all the garnish and sides. My steak was cooked to perfection! The chefs comes in with the staff to hand the dishes himself and to give mini explanations. For dessert we ordered the Lemon meringue dish, which is similar to deconstructed lemon pie, and the passion fruit one! Both were amazing, specially the passion fruit one! Definitely recommending it to friends and hopefully will be back there soon on my next trips to Nerja
Ansam A — Google review
Overall, food was excellent but the service let it down. I read a previous review straight after dining and it was if the reviewer had dined with us - it described our experience exactly. Food wise, the Iberian pork was exquisite. Wine pairings explained and complemented food perfectly. Issue was service, although I suspect it was due to getting all the tables that arrived at different times on to the same service cycles. Unfortunately this meant we had to wait 1 hour before we were served the first course (after bread) and first wine pairing. It's a shame - should be an overall 5 star experience!
Sam S — Google review
Very average experience. Perhaps the bar had been set too high following an exceptional meal the previous night at Restaurant Oliva but it got off to a disappointing start. As another reviewer below also experienced, the female waitress has absolutely no people skills and gives off the vibe that she doesn’t want to be there. The sommelier on the other hand has so much passion and knowledge and selects very interesting wines. We sat for a good 5 minutes without a menu, it’s basic service that a menu is the first thing you give someone as soon as they sit down, even though we knew we wanted the tasting menu. It all felt too slow to begin with that left a bitter taste in my mouth for the rest of the night. It took 30 minutes before we seen the ‘snack’, thankfully food came a little quicker after that! The pork cheek was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the dessert, starters were also good but the fish course was very bland. Overall the food was good not great and certainly not a patch on our previous nights experience. Lastly I felt the restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere, I can’t put my finger on exactly what it was. Maybe I would return in the future to give it a second chance but I won’t be rushing back sadly.
Amanda C — Google review
I'd give the food six stars if I could, it was that good. If you want to treat yourself in Nerja, this is the place I'd recommend. We tried a few of other higher end places to break up the tapas meals, but this was by far the best food and drink options.

This restaurant is exceptional. The taster menu was excellent as was the wine pairing under the wise selection of the amazing super Mario. His knowledge of Spanish wines and ability to pair them with delicious food is a masterclass for others to aspire to. The evening was superb and significantly enriched by Mario’s encyclopaedic knowledge and highly articulate descriptions. Best in Nerja ! PS you must try their superb limited edition Brandy, great value and amongst the best available.

The dramatic rock formations framing the cove create a picturesque backdrop, while the nearby Maro waterfall adds to its natural allure.
We visited Playa de Maro, a stunning beach near Málaga recommended by friends. After parking, a 10-min walk (or bus) leads you there. The crystal-clear water is calm with fish, perfect for SUP or kayaking. It gets busy at lunchtime, and the uphill walk back is tiring, but it is worth it.

Cala del Cañuelo is a remote sandy cove located to the east of Maro, offering clear waters and a great spot for snorkeling. This picturesque area boasts dramatic cliffs, lovely coves, and azure waters, making it an excellent destination for nature-loving beachgoers. While there are limited amenities available, visitors can find little restaurants along the roadside. The beach is known for its beautiful natural surroundings and a restaurant serving delicious seafood dishes at reasonable prices.
I’ve been to many beaches all over the world, but this one has to be the best one ever. Such a beautiful beach with nice water. 👍👍
Silverperon — Google review
Cala del Cañuelo is a quiet, pebbled beach hidden in the cliffs near Nerja, inside the Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Park. It has a calm, secluded feel, not too busy even in summer, and the water is strikingly clear. The beach itself is about half a mile long, edged with large rocks and backed by steep hills, giving it a more enclosed, peaceful atmosphere (it’s not a sandy beach). This is a place to explore, swim, snorkel, and enjoy the water. To get there, you’ll need to park at Aparcamiento Playa del Cañuelo, just off the N-340 road. From the car park, minivans take you down a steep, winding road to the beach for €2.30 per person (cash only). The ride is short, just under 10 minutes, and the views on the way down are worth paying attention to. The vans also have space for gear in the back, so you can bring chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards, or bags without issue. I recall that van shuttles will have space for about 12-14 people (so bear that in mind). It’s a beach that rewards being prepared. Water shoes are essential - not just for walking on the pebbles, but for climbing over rocks or navigating the shoreline, which can get slippery. A snorkel and mask are highly recommended. Visibility underwater is excellent, and there’s a surprising amount of sea life even close to shore: small fish, red fish attached to the rocks, jellyfish, crabs, and more. If you have a paddle board, bring it - the water is usually flat and calm, with barely any waves, making it perfect for paddling. There’s one Chiringuito restaurant right on the beach where you can get food, drinks, and ice cream (note there are sun beds too, I believe property of the restaurant, so you’d need to call and enquire). It has a nice view over the water and a relaxed vibe, but it gets busy, especially around lunchtime. If you’re planning to have a proper meal there, it’s best to book ahead. If not, just be ready to wait if you’re hoping to grab a quick coffee or snack - service can slow down during peak hours. The bar accepts cards. It’s a good idea to pack everything you’ll need for the day, plenty of water, snacks or lunch if you don’t want to rely on the restaurant, sun protection, towels, a chair or mat (the pebbles aren’t the most comfortable to lie on), and any gear you plan to use in the water. Cala del Cañuelo isn’t the easiest beach to reach, but that’s part of why it stays quiet. Once you’re there, it’s the kind of place you settle into, explore at your own pace, and leave only when the sun starts to dip.
Adrian P — Google review
Lovely beach, very quiet. Long walk down from the car park but a bus is available for 2 euro from 10am till 9pm. We hired sun loungers for €6 each and spent most of the day here. The sea was shallow enough for our 3 year to paddle and very clear for snorkeling. We walked down which was hard work with a toddler and I wouldn't advise the walk in sandals, We saw goats along the footpath tho which made it worth it.
Chris J — Google review
Best place to snorkel in Nerja. We go here often to snorkel, its a nice hike back and forth with stunning views. It takes about 30min to walk down to the beach and close to an hour back up (with a toddler walking) so probably less with only adults. You can take the bus that goes frequently for 6€ pr person. But if you do you will miss the sunset and the quiet this beach has to offer. Be awere this is not a sand beach though, it’s pebbels. Bring bathing shoes. I recomend going here on a weekday.
C B — Google review
When we have visited it was not great. Sea was very wavy and dirty with algae. It was impossible to get in the sea to take a bath. Cannot recommend.
Alex B — Google review
What a beautiful beach, warm crystal clear water. No access by car, you park on the top of the cliff, there are 2 shuttle buses take you down to the beach, at low price(cash). The road is narrow with lots of turns seems like you are in safari trip 😁, we loved the hole experience. Highly recommend.
Racha Z — Google review
Amazing beach with clear and clean water. We loved it. It’s a pebble beach and there are 2 chiringuitos. Secluded and far from everything (there’s nothing around and you can only get there with own transport), so you’re truly in the middle of nature. The beach was pretty full (end August) but it was still very calm and had a relaxing atmosphere. There were a few shuttle busses on the way down and 4 around 8:30-9:30PM when we were waiting in line to take it. It’s €2.25 per person round trip. Beware of jellyfishes at times. We also saw wild piggies :) Overall I don’t understand the complains. It was a great experience except when we waited 45 minutes for the shuttle bus, so if you don’t want to wait then make sure to leave earlier before 8PM.
Anastasia K — Google review
Amazing small beach with mixture of small rocks and sand. The shore is sandy and very seclude, so great to stay with the kids. We were in September and it was very quiet and not crowded. You need to take a shuttle bus (only during the high season and the price is 2 eur per person for a return ticket) or walk pretty long distance to reach this beach.

Castillo de Lizar, located on top of El Penon hill in Frigiliana, is a historical site with remnants dating back to Roman times. The castle ruins are a testament to the coexistence of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism during the Moorish era. The town celebrates this unity through various artworks and the Festival de Tres Culturas held annually in August. Visitors can explore the hidden sculptures that blend seamlessly into the landscape, reflecting the rich history and cultural significance of the area.
Hot walk up not for the faint hearted but well worth the visit. Very hot and humid when I went up but well worth it for the views

It is private villa and closed for visitors. But there is a nice view and good track down to the city. You just have to come back to the observation yard (you can actually park a car here) and go to the north east. You can also see the avocado trees!

It's an interesting shortcut walk straight from town (past restaurant El Jardin and then just up up up), or the long route coming from the back. The view is fantastic all around. There is not much left of the castle/fort itself, but you get the idea of how it must have been in the old days. The climb up is not for everyone, btw. But if you're lucky, you get a private guide cat, who takes cuddles as payment.

One of the best spots near Nerja! Almost perfect, but still missing a little something. It's not too crowded, the rocks are nice, and the views are fantastic. Lots of nude sunbathers, though, so brace yourself! The water's cold, but when it's 35°C outside, it's actually refreshing. Easy, free parking is a plus. No fish, though, so don't bother bringing your snorkeling gear.

It was a beautiful sea (sadly, I saw little trash in the sea). There were not many people. There were wild boars, too 🐗 it was good spot to watch the moonset around 2:30 a.m. in early July.

A little gem among the bathing coves around Nerja. Usually with fewer visitors than the most popular beaches nearby. There are small reefs to snorkel around and accessible cliffs to jump from for those who want. Decent parking facilities along the main road. Would recommend trainers or other comfortable shoes for the walk up and down.
Robert L — Google review
The most beautiful and peaceful place in this area i think. There is parking place and you need to go down the hill but it is easy and 5 min max. Crystal clear water with pebbles. There were jellyfish when i come, but they disappeared soon.
David K — Google review
Very chill vibe with a lovely clear water. Not much parking and a steep walk down but well worth it. Mainly stone but some sand. Local hippy community appear to live here so be prepared for some harmless nudity.

‼️‼️‼️THIEVES in the PARKING lot ‼️‼️‼️ I got my money, jewellery and cosmetics robbed from the car, while we were at the beach. Don't leave anything valuable inside the car, they were picky and had plenty of time to choose what to steal. Beautiful pebbles beach and crystal water though.
Noemi P — Google review
A great beach for sunbathing and snorkling. The beach is made of sand a small rocks and it’s not very crowded. However it takes som “climbing” to get there. You have to go down for 2-300 meters to get to the beach and use a narrow unofficial route walking on gravel and rocks. Some placed its a bit steep, so use appropriate shoes. Not a place for smaller kids or older people to go down and up again.

Carabeo Beach is a hidden gem in the heart of Nerja, known for its exclusivity and privacy. Accessible via a steep staircase from the Carabeo area, this small, secluded beach offers a sense of tranquility and natural beauty. Surrounded by cliffs, it provides a stunning backdrop and shade during hot summer months. With crystal clear waters and no amenities like sun loungers or restaurants, Carabeo Beach is appreciated for its simplicity and unspoiled charm.
Beautiful and quiet ! Great for swimming! Extremely clean and safe ! The couples beach ! Also there’s a grocery shop on the stairs ,got everything food wise .
Yuliya Y — Google review
Amazing small beach with showers and toilets but no sunbeds. It was very clean and relatively less crowded. You can buy an umbrella from the convenience store at the top of the stairs
Sena K — Google review
Personally I consider this beach to be the best in Nerja. Not too big, but the landscape is beautiful, showers and toilets are available. If the weather allows it,you should definitely swim near the rocks (balcon de Europa direction) for a pleasant surprise. If you are in Nerja and you love the sea, you need to try this.
Maximilian B — Google review
Enjoyed this beach, quite a few steps up and down, but fairly easy. No Sun loungers to rent, but clean each and easy to access the water.

Carabeo Beach is kind of hidden from view because of the cliffs that surround it, but you can easily find it walking down Calle Carabeo from the center of Nerja. To access the beach you will need to use a set of very steep steps to walk down into this cove surrounded by massive rocks on both sides.

Botanical garden
The Botanical Garden Detunda - Cueva de Nerja is a contemporary plant sanctuary showcasing native flora from the nearby coastal and mountain regions. While it may not have perfectly manicured borders due to its focus on conservation, visitors can still appreciate a leisurely stroll through the garden even during the dormant season. The garden offers insights into the unique floral and fauna of the area and is expected to be even more enchanting when spring brings forth vibrant flowers, bushes, and trees in full bloom.
Very good selection of native plants with ID labels. Good layout in an attractive accessible pathway.
Art G — Google review
Rather unfair to do a review on the Gardens as I just wandered round when visiting the Caves....in December..... Despite most of thousands of plants being dormant I still enjoyed my stroll and learning about the unique floral and fauna of the area. The gardens are part of a conservation programme so don't expect a formal layout with immaculately kept boarders! I can imagine it being far more enjoyable come the spring when all of the flowers, bushes and trees are in full bloom.
S A — Google review
Not much to see for a person that isn't a florist, but I've liked the vibe and the view to the sea
Leonknight C — Google review
I’ve been to these gardens three times this year. They are still in their infancy in that the plants and trees are yet to mature, but it’s a wonderful example of local species, all grouped in one place so that you don’t have to climb mountains to find them. The wildlife is impressive too: for a small area it was absolutely crammed with different species, often nectaring on the scrub/undergrowth in between the plants. Yesterday (a sunny day makes a huge difference) I saw 7 species of butterfly including European swallowtail, an eagle, two Hoopoes and lots of birds I have still to identify. There are also various lizards and frogs, plus (impressive for an October day) I counted at least five species of dragonflies. The signs have faded badly in places, but this is a delight and I’ll definitely be going back again.
Sarah B — Google review
Not much to see, just a small garden showing off some of Spain's endemic plant species. It's good for a little walk before entering the caves.
Akpa — Google review
The botanical garden is quite new I think, and most of the plants are young and small. The garden isn't very big either. Nice to have a stroll before or after the caves.

A great example of how not to do it. Nerja should be ashamed of this wasteland. I have seen better things growing in the bottom a teenagers laundry basket. The best part was the way out, and we couldn't get there soon enough. To call it a disgraceful eyesore would be unfair to disgraceful eyesores.

Public beach
Playa El Chucho in Nerja is a beautiful dark sand beach located between Torrecilla Beach and El Playazo Beach. It's perfect for families with its shallow waters, good accessibility, and fewer crowds compared to other beaches in the area. However, it's best to avoid visiting on a busy Sunday during the summer. While there are no bars or restaurants directly on the beach, visitors can enjoy amenities from nearby 4-star hotels like Perla Marina.
Absolutely love Nerja ,so much more activity and gorgeous town and fab beaches and plenty of restaurants

A nice beach for those who like it more quiet. It is not a sand beach, but it has regions with very fine stones that are comfortable to sit on. It would have been very good if the beached was cleaned better. It has a natural feeling.

A pleasant walk along the beach from Nerja to Punta Lara. Cascada de Maro is a stunning 15-meter waterfall that flows from the dramatic cliffs of Sierra de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama into the sea. The waterfall is best viewed from the water, either by kayaking or swimming. It's important to note that the waterfall only has water once every few years due to its usage for avocado cultivation in the area.
Absolutely stunning spot! The view is amazing and well worth the visit. It’s easily accessible by kayak and actually closer to Maro Beach than the main Nerja beach. The water is crystal clear with beautiful turquoise tones—perfect for a scenic and refreshing escape.

The waterfall only has water only once a few years, the water is used for the avocado cultures in the area. When it does, it looks amazing, you can reach it by water renting a kayak or SUP from playa de Maro or playa Burriana, it’s a great experience. From above, waterfall is visible only from a drone.

We took a guided kayak trip to Maro waterfalls from Burriana beach. As well as kayaking under the falls, we swam and snorkelled off the kayak in crystal clear water and explored little gorges and caves. Fabulous scenery. The company is on the beach (Educare) and the guides are great, giving instruction, taking good care of you, even providing free videos and photos. A great trip.

The waterfall is dry, but the turquoise water and caves are amazing. You can rent a kayak for 10e/hour. You need to park little bit far from the beach, because it's not possible to go all the way down, but later you can take a bus back to your car.

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurante 34, located in Nerja between Carabeo and Calahonda beach, is a multi-level dining spot offering seasonal Spanish-international dishes made with local ingredients. The restaurant features a large terrace with sea views and a candle-lit ambiance in the evenings, creating a unique dining experience. Guests can enjoy cocktails, Spanish wines, and outdoor dining during the summer months. Additionally, there's a tapas bar popular for raciones of ham, cheese, and prawns.
Highly recommended – but make sure to book in advance! We really wanted to enjoy our dinner around sunset, so I made a reservation a day in advance. Unfortunately, I missed their email reply (due to not having internet) where they let me know that there was no availability at 20:00. When we arrived, two servers greeted us very kindly – they were super friendly, relaxed, and spoke excellent English. They even offered us another table, but we preferred to sit closer to the sea. We decided to come back at 21:30 instead. Even at that time, it was still quite busy – a lot of tables were taken, which shows how popular the place is. When I came in, I saw a waitress walking by with a dish that looked amazing. I tried to explain to another waiter (not the one at the reception) that I’d like to order that dish, but he simply said they didn’t have it. He didn’t offer an explanation and suddenly walked away to another table, even though we were still in the middle of placing our order. That was quite disappointing and didn’t really add anything positive to our experience. That said, the food and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic! The prices were also very reasonable for the quality. I would definitely go back – but next time I’ll be sure to reserve even earlier!

We had a great lunch overall. Food is made with attention to high quality ingredients. The tomato salad, green salad and beetroot salads are a must, the fish dishes were good however both were overcooked and a bit dry. The server was super nice but she was the only one working the restaurant and had too many tables so the wait time was long. But we both would go again. Interior was super charming.
Emily G — Google review
Lovely restaurant with a can I say it? Not the requisite no personality Spanish waitress but a spunky happy expat Brit that made the meal order enjoyable. She actually smiled and gave great service. Stunning sea view and lovely garden setting with a pool behind us. Terraced and immaculately designed exterior as well as interior. I’m into design and this was what I had hoped to see in Spain (but sadly cannot be found). The appetizer of mushroom tart was fantastic. The chicken (impossible to find for some reason in Spain) was tender and tasty. After a month of meat and fried fish it was refreshing to have a more varied menu. The tuna tatami my partner had was seared correctly and good size. You receive a complimentary after lunch drink of your choice. Got a limoncello which came in a large snifter glass with ice. My only regret is that I did not know about the hotel portion, because it was way nicer than my overpriced 5 star hotel. Also drum roll! There is an actual large parking lot close by. Yes parking in Spain. Highly recommend this tasty restaurant!
Denisa R — Google review
Food was fantastic, can recommend the leg of lamb and the fillet steak! The service was great, very attentive and plenty of staff. The atmosphere could be improved a little, was a little too quiet, bit of background music would have helped. Overall fantastic though. Definitely plan ahead and book though as it does get busy. Lots of areas to pick from when booking so can be a bit confusing, we sat in the garden room. There is the pool area and then an upper and lower terrace. There is a kids menu and they are very family friendly.
Ian L — Google review
Stunning restaurant. Beautiful views, we were seated at the balcony overlooking the water. Staff were very friendly and so attentive. Definitely recommend if travelling to Nerja, probably the nicest meal we have had here. I would advise to book in advance too.

Exquisite Restaurant with fine dining that's very affordable. Reserved a table for 5 for my Wife's Birthday. The a la carte menu is great, with some lovely food choices. Views from the rear garden across the bay are to die for. Reservations are a must, as a very popular restaurant. Personally, I think the quality of the food is 1st class.
Cliff B — Google review
A hidden gem, the seating seems to fall away to the sea. The food was excellent, well cooked, presented well and served with excellence. The wine was delicious, the food was delicious. Enjoying the atmosphere whilst eating good food is always a great experience.
Mike L — Google review
I have walked past Restaurante 34 plenty of times on plenty of trips to Nerja because, I'll be honest, from the roadside, it looks appalling. Tourist-types in shorts and trainers scoffing tapas and gulping beer, all under what looks like an ancient wood awning. I am probably exaggerating - lets get past it. People kept telling me 34 was really swish inside, so I did some research, saw the photos and the portfolio and took the plunge. What a difference it makes walking through the door and ignoring my misgivings. There is elegance and refinery dripping out of every pore of this place, accepting perhaps the staff who are kitted in black t-shirts and jeans / leggings - 34 seems to cry out for collars, blouses and trousers. Clientele understandably as equally casual - it was a hot September - but I like to keep the British end up and wore a jacket. You can keep really cool in a jacket... go on try it - you can also look cool. The chic looking lady diners on their finery were almost all let down by men in cheap looking holiday gear. I digress, but it makes a point about expectations, I suppose, and I dressed well because my expectations had been raised very high. The setting is lovely, a wine bar, a salon, a lobby, all beautifully upholstered before you even get to the four tier light tinkled, flower bordered restaurant and the tumbling view into Nerja's coastal night. There's even a small swimming pool. Tables are hidden all over the place, offering discreet dining for those who want it. The lower terraces are more open plan, tighter packed but still private enough, although you do overhear those who can't keep thier voices down. Lovely place settings. Service itself was good, but occasionally distracted - I noted one floor waiter quietly admonish another when he noticed I had not received a menu while people seated after me had - an incident with spilt wine [not mine!!] was not noticed at all and was too slowly dealt with, although it was eventually dealt with well - and everyone was very polite and appeared to be bi- or tri- lingual. Food was excellent. A little amuse bouche, a fine starter of anchovies on a pulp tomato base, the salt from the fish tainting the sweet tomatoes just enough; a huge lamb rump which I asked for well done as I detest blood on my plate, with succulent vegetables. It perhaps needed a more robust sauce, but I couldn't fault what I ate. Wine was a superb crianza from David Moreno, recommended by 34 and a good recommendation. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. 34 is busy and you must book - you must also bring a healthy appetite. Very good indeed. Thank you.

Beach
Playa Carabeillo is a charming and secluded beach in Nerja, located near Burriana Beach. It is surrounded by cliffs and offers a less crowded alternative to its neighboring beach. The area is still frequented by local fishermen, adding to the authentic atmosphere of the place. Visitors can enjoy the clear waters and fine golden sand, as well as lush vegetation that surrounds the area.
What Makes This Beach Special: Crystal Clear Waters: The clarity of the sea is breathtaking, and you can easily see your feet as you wade in. If you swim further out, you can still see the sea floor 15 feet below. Smooth Pebbles: Although the beach has small pebbles instead of sand, they are surprisingly comfortable underfoot. Walking along the shore feels like a gentle foot massage—there’s no discomfort, just pure relaxation! Scenic Views: The coastline is dotted with picturesque cliffs and vibrant blue hues, making it the perfect spot for photos and lasting memories.

Unfortunately it was a very bad day for this beach. I trusted the reviews and we decided to go there but the water was so incredibly dirty: band aids, all kinds of foreign objects, weird brown residues on the surface of the water. We saw a strange looking man go in with his cigarette and throw it in the water. It just wasn’t the day to go to this beach unfortunately. I did not think to take any pictures. Small rocky beach. Crystal clear water. Park at parking lot on hill and walk down rough trail or take road down past paper mill and orchards to beach. Take a left to see where the Honey River meets the Alboran Sea! A rock dam was created so you can bath in clean, clear fresh water. The area is know for kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. But a sign suggests that the area is now closed to diving due to fish habitat protection.

Great little secluded, quiet, and out of the way place to stop for a swim in the crystal clear waters and nice scenery with beautiful hillsides but the beach itself is just a bunch of jagged rocks (not pebbles, mind you, but jagged rocks) so it's not ideal for sunbathing unless you bring a beach chair and if you're looking for a nice, long, wide sandy beach, you'll definitely need to look elsewhere.

The interior is very plainly furnished, even a bit boring. Since I couldn't see the sunset, it was a very unnecessary choice because the food was also bad. I had turbot, my friends had lamb and steak. No one left happy. The stuff under the turbot was overly salty. The fish was very bony. They wrote asparagus on the menu, but they put asparagus the size of my pinky finger. In short, it doesn't deserve a high score at all, it gives people the wrong expectations.
