Hostel
Nestled on Avenida Mediterraneo at the western edge of Nerja, Hostal Marazul By Fitzgeralds is a charming retreat just a short stroll from Torrecilla Beach. This cozy hostel boasts ten well-appointed double rooms, each equipped with essential amenities like air conditioning, heating, and flat-screen TVs. Guests can enjoy private balconies that offer stunning sea views. The on-site cafeteria has garnered quite a reputation for its generous portions and reasonable prices.
We visited for breakfast yesterday morning. My youngest son was having a bad morning and was completely overwhelming by the heat. Our lovely server brought him some colouring books and pencils to calm him down and the owner turned the big fan towards us. It things like this, when people just go out of their way to help, make you want to return. The food portions are huge and prices very reasonable. We had two kids meals, one small breakfast, a burger and lots of drinks and the bill was under €50. We will definitely be back ♥️
Louise P — Google review
Enjoyed breakfast here a couple of times, great value. The girl serving was very serious and didn't seem at all happy, I can only assume she probably had a lot to do. We also noticed that it didn't seem very clean. The food was good, the coffee undrinkable. A good choice for a traditional cooked breakfast.
Steve L — Google review
Good location but very basic.Room clean and bed comfortable.Shower hot but only able to use if held from the wall.TV not working. With a few improvements would be a good place to stay
Anita S — Google review
Great place. Good food. Great atmosphere and lovely staff.
Eithne C — Google review
Great Bar/Restaurant, it's a large, spacious place, with pool table and large t.v for any sport, Staff really look after you, and the food is excellent, with plenty of drinks to choose from. We had Salmon and Fish and chips, which we enjoyed and went back a second time, burgers are excellent too.
Terry M — Google review
We stayed at Marazul in early January and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spotless and the balcony had an amazing view. The breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning and is in a great location. Cannot recommend enough! We will definitely be staying again.
Alannagh O — Google review
We were here two different occasions and each time the meals were fantastic, the chips they make are the best in nerja. I would definitely recommend this gem of a place that we stumbled on by accident
Patrick H — Google review
I use this Bar Restaraunt as my meeting place for local walks and hikes. Its a great place to start off after a good breakfast and the way we are looked after for lunches after the walks is second to none. Theres a great kitchen here and a friendly lively bar.

Perched on a cliff with stunning sea views, Parador de Nerja in Nerja offers a laid-back retreat near the beach. The hotel features an outdoor pool, refined dining options, and beautiful gardens. Guests can enjoy recreational activities like tennis and take advantage of amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi and concierge services.
A fantastic hotel. The location is amazing, with beautiful gardens to escape the heat, and gorgeous views of the beach and ocean. Staff was great, in particular Luz and Antonio from reception. Sure the rooms are a bit dated (soundproofing could be better), but the 60s aesthetic is kind of pleasant too. Thanks for everything!
I D — Google review
Excellent location of this Parador, good size rooms with good beds and bedlinens, but the Parador itself and the rooms are not up to Parador standards and were below my expectations. Quality/Price ratio is poor.
Argelia F — Google review
We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. We loved everything about the Padador. We were greeted by Jose Louis when we arrived. He always had a smile and gave us great tips to the city. The staff, housekeeping to dining room all were friendly and attentive. The room was so big, it had everything we needed. Lots of drawers and closet space, large bathroom and big balcony overlooking the grounds and ocean. The breakfast buffet the BEST. We're hoping to end our vacations every year at the Parador. Hope remodeling does not change the charm of this wonderful hotel.
Zayda ( — Google review
This place is awesome. The rooms were nice, big bathroom and shower, a great little personal patio that opens to the lawn and lounge chairs and pool area. Nice pool, great service at the bar and restaurant, and the location is phenomenal. On top of the bluff overlooking the beach. An elevator to get you down to the beach and an easy walk into town. Great restaurants and bars a short walk away. Wish we could’ve stayed here longer.
Tracy B — Google review
Absolutely delicious food and great service in stunning surroundings. Being able to receive top notch service and enjoy eating an exquisite lunch overlooking the stunning sea views is a real dream.
Ria R — Google review
The EV chargers appear on the map and there is no sign saying they can’t be used. But a very rude member of the hotel staff out and pulled the cable out of the car without asking me first. It was the way he handled it - he could have been so much more polite.
Rio C — Google review
Great hotel - one of the best in Nerja overlooking the sea and beech with own private list to beech. Very good swimming pool and large grounds so not surrounded by crowds or tourists. Good traditional rooms that need updating. Breakfast also good with a variety of options.
Abdul U — Google review
Great hotel. We vidit here every couple of years. Consistently high standards. Closing today for a two year refurbishment. Can't wait to see the results

Best hotel with cheap rate.love that hotel !

This was my first time staying at the MB Boutique Hotel and it certainly won't be my last. The room was perfect and spotlessly clean. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It's ideally located about 3 mins from the heart of the Old Town. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Nerja.
Philip C — Google review
We have quite literally just got from stay 5 nights at this hotel celebrating my 30th birthday, and we were itching to leave a review! Rooms: Rooms were spotless! After the cleaners had cleaned the rooms in the during the day, the room smelt incredible. The rooms were extremely modern, with touch screens for the sink and shower. They had different lights with different colours you could choose as your preference. The TV had plenty of English channels to choose from, which was a first for us. The beds were EXTREMELY comfortable and spacious. We did not want to leave. The air con was a god send in the heatwave of Spain and saved us at the hottest point of the day. The rooms were quiet, you only heard people entering and leaving their rooms. All in all, a recipe for a great sleep. Service: They quite literally provided you with everything you needed. Waters in the fridge, beach towels, razors, shaving foam, and even a toothbrush. Staff were lovely and always happy to help with any questions. My friend even emailed to have a bottle of rose put in my room for my birthday, and they went above and beyond. Always greeting you with a smile and a hello. Location: Perfect location for us, away from the hussle and bussle but walking distance from all the main parts. 5 minutes from the square, 5 minutes to a beach at the bottom of the road, 15 minutes to the burriana. Very quiet but accessible to everything. Breakfast: Lovely breakfast of breads, hams, cheese, fruit and pastries. Cafeteria was always clean, and food quickly replenished. Parking: Safe and sufficient. All in all, we are delighted with our stay, and it quite literally couldn't be better. We honestly was so sad to leave and wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you 🙏
Alisha T — Google review
Wonderful place to stay. It's about 10 minutes away from the old town and 5 minutes away from the beach. The staff are so attentive, and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The beds are so comfortable, and the linen pillows are of great quality. The buffet breakfast is good, and the staff there are faultless. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for any visit to Nerja.
Elaine B — Google review
Beware! Blackmailing management! We stayed for 2 nights last August. On our second day the water in the sink stopped working and we were assured a plumber would come fix it immediately by the staff at Reception. A few hours Later, when we returned to our room to discover that nothing was fixed, we were told there was nothing they could do. We were not given a different room. We asked for some refund to compensate our loss. The manager sent a blackmailing email saying we Would only be compensated IF we posted a good review for the hotel!! Needless to say, did not lie to give a good review.
Live S — Google review
Lovely hotel and an absolute bargain price for what you get. Slept OK , did request a bigger bed when booking but got a small one , was OK for one night. We are travelling round so may return next week at the end of our travels for a couple of nights, only if I can get a bigger bed though. Shower was lovely. Room smelt nice. Bedding was great quality. Hot tubs on roof looked lovely. Full when went though. Would define return and will be recommending to friends.
D L — Google review
Loved our stay can’t wait to come back , the rooms were very comfortable and appreciated the high tech/green design.
Michelle D — Google review
I was surprised because it was a single room with toilet and shower in the same room, even though the bed was quite good

The rooms are nice but there was a lot of noise from other guests or neigbhours, even until 2 AM. I Hardly slept that night. Moreover it is extremely difficult to find a parking place for the car. Service and breakfast are very good
Geert V — Google review
A lovely, friendly, welcoming hostel which is literally yards from the bus station. Tatiana was really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Note there are quite a few steps up to the reception area but after that everything is on one level.

we really liked our stay here, very friendy two hosts. very good price/quality ratio.
Rene M — Google review
Great breakfast included, which was a pleasant surprise. Gorgeous internal patio for chilling out reading without getting sunburnt. Nice friendly atmosphere and staff. It’s a busy hostal and they always have a smile. Fresh towels everyday! Very close to the bus station so extremely convenient when arriving and leaving with luggage. However it’s a ten minute walk from the beaches, main restaurants and promenade. Room was a bit small but had a fridge, a TV and en-suite shower and toilet. Good value for money!
Gregor M — Google review
The place is always kept clean and the receptionist are helpful. We were allowed to drop off our luggage before check-in which we appreciate very much. We got a four female bed room and it was pretty and tidy. No noise apart from birds chirping. Breakfast was my favorite. It was always restocked with food and the location is perfect because it’s right in front of the bus stop. We will definitely come back!
Lupita D — Google review
Room is a bit on the small side but quite comfy and quiet , even though it's on the main street. Breakfast was included in our booking and it was really nice. The offerings were pretty good. The service staff was really friendly and attentive . Especially Russian/Ukrainian families who live there and run the place . If you are looking for something affordable and nice in Nerja, highly recommend this place.

MB Hostels Premium "ECO" Adults Recommended in Nerja offers a unique and comfortable accommodation experience. The hotel provides a straightforward check-in process with a friendly tone and additional upgrades available. Guests can enjoy spacious rooms with sea views, large TVs, and touch control for lights and room temperature. The hostel features amenities such as free electric bikes, an extensive library, sun terrace, solarium, and a slide from the roof offering excellent views.
Excellent location. A fun little hotel, packed with everything you could need and more. Amazing views from the terrace. Location is excellent for both the beach and the main streets of Nerja. We paid extra for the breakfast and it was well worth it. E-bikes were a great addition. Don't expect to see any staff, this is a hotel loaded with tech and easy communication at all times via WhatsApp - brilliant! This stay won't be for everyone - it's quite funky and uses tech for everything - however as a frequent traveller this stay was one of my best ever. Excellent shower, large tv, comfy beds, good fridge in the room, black out curtains, good towels and loads more. I will return! So so good.
Clare M — Google review
Enjoyed my stay here, nice location, very quiet at night as it's also close to residential flats and no main roads or bars so you get a really good night's sleep(beds very comfy too!) Lovely smell of Jasmine awaits you at night as you walk in, good communication via WhatsApp answered all my questions, quickly and promptly. Electric bikes were great, used them once. View from balcony was lovely. Tv nice amount of channels in different languages. Rooms cleaned each day to a very good standard. Mini bar is a god send and reasonably priced, 1 euro for a can of Spanish beer was terrific value, saves walking to the shops!! Only little downsides were breakfast, would've liked more variety and something hot to eat like an omelette or bacon, but that's just me, it's OK if you just want a continental and some toast, coffee was good though...notes please put a sign on toaster warning that it is hot 🔥!! In an area where everything is in a small space, it's quite easy just to put your finger, like I did, on edge of the toaster when your bread is ready, and it was scolding. I'm sure they're working on this but needs some kind of ventilation in the toilets in the bedrooms. But that's nothing to put me off writing a 5 star review and will definitely stay here again on my next trip next year. Thankyou for your help and a nice relaxing stay. I wish you all the best 👍
Ste A — Google review
Incredible hotel, super clean, great location, very nice breakfast, staff are super helpful and everything is eco friendly. We loved the slide, and it was amazing. They also offer free bikes, which we tried and again amazing. They have a very cool library which has lots of books in different languages and lots of games which we really enjoyed. 100% recommend, and we will be back again.
Maryam G — Google review
It was an incredible experience! The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. We loved the included breakfast, the stunning view from our room, and the complimentary bikes we could use as much as we wanted. The room was modern and beautifully designed - we loved every bit of it. This place doesn’t even feel like a hostel. It’s the best we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend!
Monica D — Google review
Great spot. We had a balcony with a sea view. Generous breakfast. Beautiful roof deck.
Rob G — Google review
Amazing accommodation here is definitely one of my top places to stay in Nerja. Continental breakfast was perfect. Room terrace has the best sunrise views
Stephen F — Google review
We've had a wonderful stay in Nerja, partly thanks to this hotel, that received us quite late still. We prolonged our stay cause the room and service are fantastic. The terrace is quite big, the bed comfortable, the shower great. Hygiëne perfect. Even the breakfast was wonderful. The staff went above and beyond for us. We couldn't have been happier to have stayed here.
Cindel D — Google review
Everything was great! I cant reccoment this hotel enough. Whatsapp support was super responsive, helpful and polite. Breakfast was great. In addtion to all that they have e-bikes for you to use. This saves you quite a few euros and time since people are waiting for taxies for ages in Nerja center. Thank you and we will definately be back.

Great location, great price but most importantly the people running the hostel are super hospitable and nice. My check in/check out was super easy even though it was at odd hours. The recommendation provided were super good. The rooms were more than nice considering the price for the stay.

Easy Hostel in Nerja is a fantastic place to stay – clean, cozy, and in a great location. The owners, Eduardo and Sol, are incredibly friendly and helpful – they truly go above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere!

The room was very clean and nice and the hotel is very near to the centre and the beach but at the same time not too loud. Also there is a small kitchen that you can use and a really great rooftop terrace where you can relax. Eduardo, the host and all the other staff are very friendly and welcomed us straight away. We felt very much at home.
Valentin G — Google review
Loved my stay at Easy Nerja Hostel in August of 2015. Stayed in the 4 Bed Mixed Dorm (however there were 5 beds). Super clean and bathroom right outside of the room. One downside was it was super hot and the fans didn't help much. Beautiful rooftop terrace to watch the sunset and loved that I could rent a SUP at the front desk. One member of the staff was even nice enough to help me carry it to the beach and teach me the basics! Quick walk from bus station and taxi stand!
Bridget S — Google review
Nice private room, large shower etc. Was in the basement, but the noise from the street wasn't too bad. Little dated in decor, and reception didn't seem to be manned very often, but when I checked in the lady I saw was helpful. Great location, Nerja is so beautiful, and all the beaches are 5-10mins away.
Becky C — Google review
Very cosy nice hostel in Nerja centre. Staff are lovely and very happy to show you around. Especially great place in winter in the off season. Wheel chair access on first floor only which is a dorm room with a bunk bed room offshoot with the main downstairs bathroom attached to that (access also through kitchen). 3 stars for wheel chair accessibility. Overall would definitely recommend and would easily stay there again

Beautiful hotel, advertised as a hostel which it certainly isn't. It spotless, classy, rooms are beautuful and it's situation is as central as you'll get. We didn't get a taxi for the week. It's in walking distance of restaurants , bars and the beach. Staff are very welcoming and polite. Would Definetly go back 100%.

Really bad experience and strongly recommend to avoid it. On booking there was an offer for a double bed room from 85 to 51 so I booked it. When I checked my bank account they've charged me 85 so I cancelled it straight away but never recoverd my money. They don't want to collaborate with booking to give me a room or to recover those money. I was explaining them the situation on the front desk and on emails but they don't want to collaborate in any way at all.
Nitura A — Google review
I’m really frustrated with how things went with my recent booking. I had to cancel my trip due to an emergency and let you know on Saturday, days before the booking on Wednesday. I didn’t hear back until the day of, and by then I was told the cancellation couldn’t be processed and was charged the full amount. I understand policies exist, but in this case, I reached out well in advance. It just doesn’t feel right to be charged because of a delayed reply. I hope you’ll reconsider this unfair charge.
Kone F — Google review
Lovely place to stay while in Nerja, very central location with friendly and helpful staff Rooms are great sizes with water, coffee and some snacks left in the room on arrival
Fitzgerald H — Google review
Location fine, only 5 minutes walk from the Balcon de Europa. Paid public parking available, 2 minutes walk. City center with bars, restaurants and shops les then a 10 minute walk away. Staff friendly. Well maintained, clean and modern hotel. Rooms are a little small. Overall a nice hotel to spend a couple of days.
L&R D — Google review
Awful experience and customer service! My partner and I had to cancel due to a family emergency and notified you on Saturday — well in advance of the scheduled check-in on Wednesday. He received no response until the day of the booking, at which point he was informed the cancellation couldn’t be processed and was charged the full amount. We both fully understand that policies are in place for a reason. However, in this case, he made a clear effort to communicate ahead of time, whilst handling sensitive personal matters and the lack of timely response directly impacted the outcome. It’s completely unreasonable for him to be penalised due to that delay. The charge does not reflect fair practice given the circumstances, and we both believe a resolution is warranted.

I recently spent a month at this hostel and I loved every second of it. I felt so at home here. The rooms and terrace/kitchen have everything you need and are all clean and tidy. It's in a great location as well, no more than a 5/10 minutes walk to the beach/shops/restaurants/bars/bus stop. The owner Cristian made me feel so welcomed and I miss being there already. I would highly recommend and I'll definitely be back

What a brilliant and lovely place! The owner is such a charming (…) funny and helpful man. He made our stay as brilliant as he could. He really does go over and beyond for you. Runs the place by himself, and does a fantastic job. Super friendly!! Good cooking facilities. The rooftop was great. Very well equipped. The rooms were good. The privacy curtain was much appreciated. Lockers not as useful. But it’s only the smallest things keeping this from a 5 star. Thank you!

Amazing hostel, genuinely one of the best I've stayed in - I'm soon going back for my third stay which says it all! Christian has thought of everything. Rooms are clean and comfortable - and if like me you don't fancy dorms any more but prefer hostels over hotels for the atmosphere, the private rooms are very comfortable and great value! The terrace and kitchen are fantastic and the atmosphere was great. Always a good mix of ages and types of travellers so even a 40 year old doesn't feel out of place in this hostel. Well done Christian!

Sadly, surprisingly different to other reviews, I was shocked at how bad this place is! Dirty, unknown hair all over the “freshly” made bed. Owner and overall atmosphere very weird.. the only good thing is the terrace. Wouldn’t recommend staying here at all. There will be better options available, don’t waist your time staying here. !!

The most beautiful hostel , the decoration is so pretty. The hostel is always clean and tidy in every room. There is a good amount of shared bathrooms and they work well and are cleaned very regularly, every day. I stayed here with my best friend alone , we are 16 and the hostel allowed us to stay which was so so amazing we stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom. The room was cleaned once for free which was done very well. The room had air con that was very very helpful , a wardrobe and a very pretty window. The hostel was very safe and felt very homely and secure. The location was perfect, close to the main center and smaller streets and very close to the beach. Overall my stay was as perfect as it could’ve been no faults at all and would definitely stay here again. The owner was so so lovely upon arrival super friendly and welcoming. Throughout our stay everyone we saw him he would greet us. Thankyou so much charming nerja hostel I had the most amazing time 🌺🌺🌺

Absolute horrible human of an owner. Showed up at 1 pm for a 2 check in and asked if we could put a bagged salad in the fridge. Guy kicked us out of the hostel, wouldn't share wifi or let us use the bathroom or sit on the rooftop terrace. While this was happening he let a lady with a private room check in early. We said okay left to get lunch and got a notice our room was cancelled 5 minutes before check in. It seems if he's having a bad day he will cancel your booking rather than risk a bad review. A savy move as a hotel owner but not an ethical way to conduct yourself. Found a beautiful air bnb for less money a 5 minutes walk away and they were lovely. Rooms looked okay in the brief time we were there. I have been travelling for 5 months now and have never experienced hotel staff like that before.

This hostel deserves 6 stars. A ‘charming’ hostel indeed. A great atmosphere here created by the lovely owner Cristian. The terrace is the best I have seen in a hostel. Clean, tidy and the curtains for the beds create a nice privacy. It’s in the perfect location only 5 minute walk to everything you’d ever need, including the beach!

Marinas de Nerja Beach & Spa Aparthotel is a modern beachfront apartment hotel with 2 pools, 2 restaurants, and a spa. The spa has received mixed reviews, but guests often praise the professional staff and exceptional massages provided by therapists like Bea and Lidia. The facilities are described as well-maintained and the services offered are considered a great value.
Just home from a weeks holiday here and we all loved it! Rooms spacious and cleaned everyday, staff are all so friendly and pool area is great with lots of loungers. We were half board but only ate dinner one night in the hotel but lots to choose from. Breakfast was amazing with everything you could think of and staff working hard to keep everything replenished, take dirty plates away etc. We walked into town along the beach every night which took about 20 mins and took a taxi back which was around €10. Lots of activities on through out the day if that’s what you like to do but also no pressure if you prefer to do your own thing. Different types of entertainment on in the evening which we could enjoy from our balcony. Do not let the bad reviews put you off as we could not see one thing wrong with the hotel. We will definitely be back!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could give this hotel zero stars! Further to a recent stay at Marinas de Nerja Beach & Spa Aparthotel. Myself and my partner booked a weeks all inclusive trip away for a friends wedding, little did we know this would end with severe disappointment, injury's and food poisoning. To elaborate on the issues we have experienced, my partner took a mouthful of chicken which he then looked at after digesting to discover the chicken was RAW resulting in him not being able to enjoy a quarter of our holiday. Regarding the "injury" I mentioned, there is a split tile in our room which to the naked eye looks harmless, little did I know I would end up cutting my foot open on this! These are two major points that I would like to raise, additionally to this, I have found numerous hairs in foods, every meal I have had has been cold, breakfast, lunch and dinner options are very poor for an "all inclusive" resort. I would like to add that the staff at this resort are extremely rude and unhelpful (apart from the entertainment team and receptionist) which again made our stay very un enjoyable. As someone who travels around the world for work & pleasure I can easily say this resort is the worst resort I have stayed in by far and cannot wait to return home, which shouldn't be the case when enjoying a break away. In addition to this, I would like to express my dissatisfaction in the maid service. As mentioned we stayed here for a week, and only had our big towels (body towels) changed TWICE! I would never usually leave a review following poor service, however, after speaking to the hotel staff to raise my concerns I was told to email them, which was done, however, I am still awaiting a response. If you are looking for a relaxing, enjoying holiday do not even think about booking this hotel.

This hotel was definitely not a 4 star, the hotel and rooms look run down and the furniture and decor needs redoing. Room smelt of damp and the hotels private beach area was filthy. The best thing about the hotel was there breakfast options were good however more vegetarian protein option would make it better

My wife and I had a great time. The water was beautiful, beach was clean, the food was delicious , all the staff were super friendly and helpful. Especially the receptionist Marivi, she was so kind to us and very helpful, felt like we were talking to a dear friend. She definitely made our stay that more special. This was our first time staying here and will not be the last.

We had our wedding at this hotel in May 2025. The location is absolutely beautiful, the ceremony takes place right at the edge of the beach and was gorgeously decorated. We had been to the hotel and met Eva and some of the team before the big day and it seemed like it would be perfect. Eva was so patient with my many, many messages to her full of questions and answered each one happily so we knew we were in good hands! I don't know exactly what we were expecting on the big day but it absolutely exceeded every expectation we could have had. It was AMAZING from start to finish. The staff were incredibly kind, efficient and so pleasant, you could just tell they wanted to do their absolute best for us and the guests which really showed. Right when I arrived I was introduced to a woman named Jennifer and informed she would be looking after me, and she really did. From minding my phone and perfume in her apron to ensuring we had absolutely everything we needed when we needed it, she was truly excellent. Eduardo, who also did our food tasting, was looking after the floor and staff it seemed and he was also exceptional, tables sang their praises about the never being without a drink and having plates cleared quickly after each course, etc. Both the canapes during the drinks hour and the meal itself were fabulous, we were delighted with how tasty it all was. There is a DJ that plays during dinner, something I had not seen done before. It is not too loud, just enough to keep the atmosphere going, our guests loved this, they thought he was a amazing as he played all the great songs us Irish love! The bartenders inside for the band/disco were also superstars, so good, everyone was having so much fun with them. All in all, we cannot compliment this hotel enough, if you're thinking of having your wedding here, just go for it, its amazing. 🥰

Spacious rooms, boring - no decoration and nothing to clean the dishes with - but for the rest good. Balcony with view at the pool and sea. The food was in general good (some things were ok, not great). Towel service at the pool. Small garden with grass and palm trees with sun beds, right by the beach. Good service. Entertainment. You can walk to Nerja (+/- 25 min) or by taxi (from €17,50).
Christel — Google review
First visited this hotel 10 years ago and when we came back this August, it lived up to our expectations. It's location right on the beach is ideal for a summer holiday and the pool is large enough to never get crowded. The staff are helpful, friendly and polite. We enjoyed both the day and evening entertainments (great job Leo!), but if this isn't your thing, it's easy enough to avoid. Great variety and quality of food In the restaurant and the service is excellent. In August, the large majority of guests were Spanish, which we liked, as it felt like Spain. Nice atmosphere. Too far to walk to Nerja centre in mid summer (in April it's a pleasant walk along the beach) but there's an hourly bus right outside the hotel for 1 euro. Recommend a trip to the pretty village of Frigiliana in the mountains and kayaking from Burriana Beach to the Maro waterfalls.

We wery happy here so much so that we upgraded to all inclusive. Bedrooms do need some updating. I really enjoyed the food here. All the staff are lovely and very obliging. Right on the beach. I was nervous coming here based on previous reviews but I couldn't fault either the hotel or the staff.

Hotel Balcón de Europa is a charming four-star hotel situated in the heart of Nerja, overlooking the Mediterranean sea from the iconic Balcon de Europa. The hotel offers an outdoor pool with heating for winter, providing stunning views of Caletilla Beach. Guests can enjoy various amenities including a gym, jacuzzi, free sunbeds on the beach, games area, library, WiFi and event spaces. Additionally, it features two restaurants and a bar.
I've been to Nerja many times and Hotel Balcon de Europa is the hotel with the best location in the area. My young kids can go out of the hotel running without fear because there are no cars, it's completely pedestrian. I love their restaurant that's right in front of the beach. They have amazing rooms, big beds and bathrooms. If you have the budget, go for the room with a terraza overlooking the beach! Buffet was also great, but the food in the Nautico restaurant, especially the paella, was amazing. We will come back!

Visited here just for drinks on the outside terrace. The location is great, and the Service is pretty good 👍 The only things that lets it down is their Cocktails aren't great 🫤 Some Cocktails contained too much alcohol, which whilst this is great 'value for money', it made them undrinkable🫤 Also the amount of Pigeons flying around and eating off dirty Tables is off-putting - I'm not sure what they do to get rid of them, but it isn't great when your sat there..🤢

We absolutely loved this hotel. We have just had a 3 night stay and really can't fault it. We were both surprised and delighted on arrival to find our sea view room had been upgraded to a Junior Suite. The room was very comfortable with a amazing view. The buffet style breakfast had plenty of choice, the staff were all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be making a return visit.

The staff at Hotel Balcon, are among the nicest I've ever met. Nothing was too much trouble, all so polite and friendly. We had paid for Bed and Breakfast, and that breakfast did not disappoint. Everything you could think of was supplied. A fabulous was to start you day. The hotel is spotlessly clean too. And the private beach on your door step, couldnt ask for anymore. I'll definitely be returning to stay here

Booked a twin room through Booking.com, arrived late evening to be given a tiny, dark, double not twin room. No pictures of this room on website. Staff rude and very unaccommodating on 3 or 4 times during our 5 night stay. They did eventually move us to a slightly better room!! I'm 60yrs of age and have stayed in countless hotels all over Europe but this is the first time I have ever reviewed a hotel. So disappointed.

We are currently on our 5th day of 7 at the Hotel. ....its simply fabulous, cannot fault it in any way, ..yes it is old fashioned, but to try and modernise it would be a travesty, It oozes class and personality, I'd come back in a Heartbeat

Hotel Riu Monica is a sophisticated hotel located in Nerja, offering both indoor and outdoor pools, fitness facilities, and a restaurant. Situated on the boardwalk, it's just a short drive from popular attractions like Balcon de Europa and Burriana Beach. The hotel provides various recreational amenities including an outdoor pool, indoor pool, and fitness center. Additionally, guests can enjoy complimentary wireless internet access and bike storage.
Just come home after 11 nights in this hotel. A lovely clean hotel. Rooms very clean & comfortable. Excellent food choices for breakfast & evening meal. Air conditioning excellent in indoor restaurant and rooms. Beautiful outdoor seating area to eat and for evening entertainment. Perfect location for getting around Nerja and a nice quiet area at night. Great to have 1 hour entertainment every night. A good mixture of music to please everyone. A good choice of sunbeds in the shade or sun. A very nice outdoor bar area for drinks & snacks throughout the day. Thoroughly recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel.
Yvonne G — Google review
My stay at the Riu Monica Hotel in Nerja was unfortunately a mixed experience. The reception was fine and the staff there were okay, but overall, the service left much to be desired. The restaurant staff came across as unfriendly and lacked both smiles and a sense of service. It was rare to see any of them greet guests warmly or make an effort to create a pleasant atmosphere. Another major downside was the noise level in the restaurant – it was very loud and disturbing. Staff would scrape plates and handle dishes in a way that created constant clattering, making it hard to sit and enjoy a meal in peace. The food was okay, but nothing remarkable. A real disappointment with the half-board option was that no drinks were included with dinner – not even water. To get a glass of water, you had to pay about 3 euros, which felt stingy for a hotel in this price range. Additionally, even keeping your bill or receipt from the cashier could cost you money, which felt unnecessarily petty. In summary, the hotel’s location and reception were fine, but the lack of friendly service, the high noise level in the restaurant, the stingy drink policy, and the extra charges for small things significantly lowered the overall impression.

We were staying for 6 nights in Hotel Riu Monica. Staff is friendly, it's very clean and reception was super quick, too. All processes seem pretty smooth here. Also the location is great as it's central and right next to the beach. Hotel buffet was good, quite ordinary in my opinion. It also has plenty vegetarian options, which is labelled. The coffee from the machine is pretty bad though, I recommend the pot instead as it's much better. As other reviews have mentioned before, the hotel has many guests aged 50+. As a younger couple we'd prefer a younger clientele, but it was alright and there was also still a mix of people. Even though the pool area is big it's almost full during the day and people here are quick with reserving loungers before breakfast and not using them for hours. Usually we were able to find an unoccupied one further in the back in the afternoon though. Overall I think it's a good choice and we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful hotel on the fringe of Nerja, with access to the beach via a private secure entrance to the front, lovely distance into Nerja for a pleasant stroll and within easy walking distance to the bus station and trolley train to caves and centre. The food in the hotel is excellent quality with a great choice to suit every palate. There is also entertainment of an evening which was very enjoyable. We had great information from Tui reps in the Hotel on our arrival which allowed us to plan our 6 days wisely. Cleanliness of the hotel was immaculate and all staff were friendly and helpful. All in all i would definitely choose to return here in future and well recommended.
Helen J — Google review
The hotel has a great location which is right on the smallish beach which is “ shelving “ as you go into the sea. There are two supermarkets just across the road and a number of small restaurants . As you turn right when you come out of the hotel there is a very good selection of restaurants to choose from - about 500 mtrs away and access to the promenade and beach. The hotel is quite smart having been built in the late 80’s . Our room was large & comfortable with great views to Nerja ; mountains and beach so really enjoyed that. Great beds! The pool area is very crowded with sun beds packed together - did not like that although did find a quiet spot on the grass area: the sun beds are uncomfortable as they do not lie flat. Food: This was wide ranging and generally of good quality - breakfast was particularly good. It’s all self service. I was not a fan of the restaurant it self - it was perfectly clean & tidy with very friendly & professional staff but like the pool area I found it very “ crowded “ with tables very close together and it is lacking in any atmosphere. All the public areas area are of very high quality . It’s a short 15/20 minute walk to Nerja town - depending on your fitness levels. Overall this a very good ADULTS ONLY hotel and we both enjoyed a very comfortable stay . The best bits: The staff were all very friendly & professional. Breakfast with very good range of hot & cold foods. East facing room on 3 rd floor was quite lovely. Not enjoyed: Uncomfortable sun beds Crowded pool area. My verdict: Stylish hotel with great staff and an overall 8.5 out of 10 !!

Our first time visit and would happily return. The facilities are very good. The food is excellent. The staff are very friendly, efficient and will go that extra mile to help. I can't fault them from reception, housekeeping and restaurant staff. Our room was great, lots of space and well equipped. It's worth noting its adults only, minimum age 16.

First time at the Riu Monica, so far, it has been an excellent experience. Rooms are very good and well appointed. It has a very good main restaurant, which is buffet style. There is another smaller restaurant which has to be booked near the pool area. Would I come back, probably? Yes, we tend not to repeat visit hotels but would consider here.

Our favourite place to stay in Nerja. Tanya is the perfect host and her hotel is beautifully designed with a wonderful attention to detail. Beautiful rooms, super comfy beds, spotlessly clean, wonderful location and the roof terrace is the cherry on the cake! Can't wait to come back!

Absolutely amazing accommodation. Tanya is lovely to deal with and will answer any questions you have. The rooms although small were spotless and equipped with free air conditioning and safe along with a small Juliet balcony. There is also a fabulous roof terrace where you can sunbathe with access to a fridge to store any food and drinks. I would highly recommend this accommodation. We will be back in the future.

Stayed 9 nights at Hostal Boutique Plaza Cantarero in a beautiful deluxe room and can't recommend it enough. As good as any 3 or 4 star hotels- and better than many! French vintage chic decor, super king-size bed, quality pillows and thoughtful details like picnic baskets on arrival. Fabulous location and easy walk to everything. Gorgeous roof terrace, and the entire guest house is kept immaculate by cleaners who work very hard. Didn't miss a pool as we prefer beaches and found some stunning coves within a very easy walking distance. We loved the fact that this charming guesthouse had hotel services but allowed us to do self-catering too. Large fridge up in roof-terrace. Tania, the owner thinks of all the little details to make a stay practical and enjoyable. Definitely recommend!

Situated close to several popular beaches and attractions, this hostal features shared facilities including a kitchen and lounge area. Cozy place located in the center of Nerja. The rooms were small but super clean, and were cleaned every day! Even beach towels were provided. The owners, one lady and her daughter, were very friendly and supportive, they made us feel welcomed and at home. I can only recommend staying at this hostel, you get a lot for your money.

Good location near plenty of good restaurants & bars, and mostly quiet after 11pm. Rooms are very good for the price. Tiny shower but otherwise good bathroom. Comfortable bed. English TV channels AC unit in bedrooms, good but a little noisy Pretty balconette Breakfast & check- in was a tad chaotic but entertaining, borderline fawlty towers, everything eventually happens but not necessarily in the correct order. Can recommend for price & location 👍 But not the coffee or tea at breakfast 👎 Nice bread rolls, ham, fresh banana & oranges, yoghurts & random boiled eggs later included in breakfast.

Had a room booked and on the day we were due to arrive they messaged asking what time we would be roughly due to arrive. Messaged back and when we got there we were told our room was triple booked and no longer available. They tried to find alternative accommodation but it would have been an extra 40 euro compared to what we were meant to pay with them. Ended up booking somewhere ourselves. Would not recommend

Excellent Hostal great value Staff very pleasant and friendly rooms and passageways clean and tidy room was a little tight on space (but your only sleeping there) With the exception of the bathroom door which squeecked when you opened & closed it the bathroom was great breakfast in the morning was very good , good selection to start your day Location fabulus within a few hundred meters of the Balcon 1 star deducted for sqeaky bathroom door (really annoying during the night) and there is a step at the bottom of the stairs as you enter the dinning area which is not sufficiently highlighted enough (the wife twisted her ankle because she didnt see it) instead of dull looking hazard tape perhaps a light with sensor would we come back absolutely
James D — Google review
Ok normally you start writing about the hotel/hostel but that comes later, because first I like to express myself about the owners Tina & Jon, those two are awesome, we can ask anything and if we don’t ask the impossible, they make it happen. Also their son, what a great kid. Yep absolutely couldn’t ask for nicer people then these guys. The hostel is what you would expect, it has everything you need. We first had a room on the street side, which is nice cause we had a little French balcony where you can watch the people go by. Later we moved to a room in the back as it was a little bit bigger and had a lovely little patio/terrace in the back. Also it’s quieter then the front room. The Hostel itself is also located on a perfect spot, you are right in the centre of Nerja, with shops and bars just a footstep away. Seriously if you ever want to go to Nerja just book your room at Luna de Nerja, it’s cheap, it’s clean but most of all, the owners/staff are amazing.

When we booked at the last minute we were unshore as it said hostel but the thoughts on this certainly changed once we arrived. It was superb the room was excellent and cleanest I have stayed in. Modern room with juliet balcony. The hosts John and Tina couldn't of been more helpful. We even borrowed beach towels and brollies. It is in the middle of town above shops but this was not a problem either as you are out with everyone else on an evening. The airconditiong was a god send for a lovely nights sleep. Well done John and Tina x

We have stayed here so many times and there is honestly nowhere better to stay in Nerja. Mercedes, Daniel and Christina are the most excellent hosts and so welcoming. The rooms are fabulous with so much attention to detail and the breakfast is outstanding with so much fresh produce. We will never stay anywhere else in Nerja

Really good place with very friendly staff. The hotel is only a short walk from the beach and lots of small bars and restaurants as well as only being a 20 min amble into town. Most of the rooms have lovely views and there is also a large terrace and a hot tub. To top it all off there is an amazing breakfast, with fresh eggs to order and lots of fruit.

Just a five-minute walk from Playa la Caletilla, the hotel also features a rooftop Jacuzzi with sea views for relaxation. The three-floor hostel offers various room configurations, including king-size beds and multiple beds in each room.
Family run hotel. Had the pleasure of meeting the father, son and daughter. If you do a late check-in, call the number to get the entrance code to the building Service: 5/5. Warm welcoming family. The son Hugo suggests good recommendations of restaurants, pubs, activities Breakfast: 5/5. The homemade yogurt and jams are exceptional. You enjoy the sunkissed breakfast on the open terrace, with a beautiful overview of sea and mountains. Do not expect a breakfast buffet. The breakfast is actually well curated: some cheese with sliced meat, yogurt, jams, toasted bread, cake, coffee/ tea leaves you more than satisfied. Room: 4/5. bath area is a little small and can get a little smelly because of the lack of ventilation. The room itself is pleasant amd air-conditioned with a balcony My wife and I would surely comeback again. I certainly recommend this place right in the heart of bustling Nerja

Staff were very friendly and helpful, minor issue with room (fridge) fixed quickly. Felt like being at home. Quiet, central and clean.

Great laid back accommodation in Neja with a very nice and super friendly French family who make a fabulous breakfast every morning. I stayed in room 305 - a double rm with a balcony with sea views. The room is nicely decorated with tasteful furnishings. The bathroom was spotless clean. It's a 2 minute walk to the Balcony of Europe, shops and restaurants. The only downside was there is no lift in the building so if you want the sea views on the 3rd floor, you have to walk up the stairs but is well worth the effort.

The room was nice, the service was great the receptionist was so kind. Definitely recommend going there, and I would book there again.

Modestly priced and yet very delightful. The balcony came with a little table and chair that made for a nice place to have a coffee. The rooms had interesting art and were comfortable. The rooftop has an amazing view and we spent some time in the evening relaxing up there. The hotel had towels that we could rent for the day and everything was run very efficiently.

Excellent location , clean and modern rooms, amazing service I highly recommend it. Good value for the price. Above standard in my opinion. Good breakfast also and cute little balcony.

We booked the Casual Rooms last minute for a night before our flight home from Malaga. It was brilliant- the location was ideal, right in the old town and really close to the beaches but on a relatively quiet street. Check-in was easy and our twin room was really nice- spotless, newly decorated in a beachy style with a great shower, Nespresso coffee machine and really comfy beds. The roof terrace was small but a nice spot for sun bathing, although the beach is so close we opted to go there instead. Parking is tricky in Nerja but we found a space within a couple of minutes walk. Great find and we’ll stay again.

(Translated by Google) A nice hostel attached to the Hotel Plaza Cavana. There's a small fridge, a TV with a wide range of channels (in Spanish), and a free safe. Unfortunately, my room only had a small window in the corner, so I could barely get any fresh air in. On the day of departure, you have to vacate the room by 11 a.m., but you can still use the hotel's amenities. (Original) Hübsches Hostel dem Hotel Plaza Cavana angegliedert. The spacious villa boasts an outdoor pool, various terraces, and a hot tub with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. The communal lounge features a wood-burning fireplace and free Wi-Fi. Most suites are beautifully decorated with floral motifs and offer balconies or terraces overlooking the sea and mountains. Guests can enjoy delicious daily breakfasts made from local organic produce.
Had the best stay here, the most loving family. So attentive and helpful from the moment you enter their beautiful house. The B&B is up a hill so taxi is recommended especially for going back up. But the views are breathtaking and completely worth it. The breakfasts in the morning are delicious and are different everyday. With a freshly made slice of cake. The beds are unbelievably comfortable with memory foam. So a good nights sleep is no problem. I honestly cannot recommend this B&B enough.! I will definitely be back to see more of the island.!

I can only recommend Welcome Inn Nerja. The hosts are very very kind and aware and informative. The location is great - close to Nerja Centre and the beach. The house has a great sea view and the rooms are very nice, cozy and clean. The breakfast area is so nice and you are looking forward to this delicious meal every morning with Spanish specialties. Simple but great quality and taste. The pool area is fantastic as well and everything is nice and quiet. Go there!! ;-)

My husband and I have had wonderful 5 star hotel experiences globally but nowhere did we experience the care and love of Kiki and Natalya at Welcome Inn Nerja. As a small business owner ,I know well the attention to detail that makes such a business unique and memorable, and they bring this in spades to every aspect of the welcome, the space, breakfasts, morning chats and ensuring we had the best possible experience. We cant wait to return and send friends and family for this rarely found true hospitality, Andalusia style. One review here had an issue with its " luxury " description : luxury to us is not a robe or a welcome drink its the quality of human connection and care we so valued with Kiki and Natalya, priceless !

Hostal Bronce offers quaint rooms with free Wi-Fi, simple yet lovingly furnished with functioning bathrooms and ceiling fans for a fresh breeze. The daily cleaning ensures a comfortable stay. The rooftop terrace provides a small kitchen for all guests to use. The family-friendly atmosphere makes it an ideal place for those who appreciate local simplicity. The newly equipped rooms now feature AC, and the attentive staff is always ready to assist.
The owners were lovely, friendly and accommodating. For personal reasons, I needed a late checkout and they managed to get me that. We accidentally left some belongings in the room, so they kindly and quickly contacted us so we could get them back. The location is great, the beds were comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly. I’d totally stay there again!
Sacha Z — Google review
The hostal is ideally situated near the bus stop as well as the town centre while being located in a relatively quiet street. It features two roof terraces with sun loungers, tables and chairs as well as small kitchen to prepare and cook food ( although one of the two hot plates didn't work most of the time I was there but I am sure it's going to be fixed shortly ). Hostal Bronce is very well and efficiently run by manageress Cristina who provided excellent answers to all my questions and seems entirely unflappable, her house keeper Carmen who knows how to make beds like no one else and cannot do enough for you, and the lovely Valentina, the manager's second in command who brings her wonderful flair and kind touch to the proceedings. Not to be forgotten are the volunteers, Markus and Violeta. Markus is one of the most courteous people I have come across and will always go the extra mile to make guests comfortable, whereas Violeta has a wonderful sense of the esthetic and will bring even the most neglected plants back to life. Moreover, she is in charge of considerable amounts of laundry and will ensure that everything is spotless, a great comfort to any guest. The hostal is made by this team, in my view. I was enquiring about staying here a few months ago and received pretty short shrift, but I am glad I gave Hostal Bronce another chance! I will be back... And I hope I will encounter the same excellent team. Let me mention, too, how much I loved the view of the sunset and the stars at night on the roof terraces, I really appreciated being able to cook my own food since I have a couple of dietary intolerances, I enjoyed talking to guests and staff alike and even share some meals (particularly as a solo traveler), I like the simple rustic decor of the rooms as well as the common spaces and adore the hot showers, and the price for a room - particularly out of season - is very affordable. The only thing I would say is that I felt conscious of the amount of rubbish being generated by us all that wasn't going to be recycled (apparently it's not compulsory). I hope some bins will be provided in the future to make this possible however. Overall though it's definitely "Well done, Hostal Bronce", and a big thank you to all the staff!
Anna W — Google review
We are a family of three who like simple local places and Hostal Bronce is a great place to stay for us. Rooms are small, but clean and cozy, newly equipped with AC too. There is a nice roof terrace there, with good views and a small common kitchen that includes a fridge. Hostel staff is great, always attentive and helpful. The location in the old part of Nerja, 10 mins from the beaches and a Mercadona supermarket nearby cannot be better, from our point of view. Stayed there four times and hope to come back.

(Translated by Google) I stayed four nights at the HOSTEL. The service was good, I complained that the window blinds did not work and the next day they came and fixed it. Cleaning is only once a day, in my opinion they should reinforce it (at least in the bathrooms)... the location is perfect, they have everything nearby. I would tell them that the electric kettle that is in the kitchen, change it or clean it... has limescale and from there everyone is supposed to get the hot water and the refrigerators, to my taste, are quite dirty inside.

Me and my partner stayed here for 3/4 nights, we travelled from England for a mini holiday/get away, this place is great location for nerja if you don’t plan on hiring transport, being in town and close to beaches with great view spots and amazing clean oceans that you don’t get in England, Mackenzie and Andrea were great hosts and really lovely people, they had some great suggestions on eating places and activities, Andrea’s English was great for my partner to understand yet Mackenzie being English yet fluent in spanish if Andrea did not understand a sentence so they go together like peas in a pod. The room themselves were great, clean and tidy, having the essentials if not more for a hostal, having a balcony was great also saves having to go up and down stairs to go for a cigarette. I have stayed in many travel lodges/hostals (as when I go to a country I like to visit the country not to see a hotel) this was one top notch hostal with hosts that know the area very well for the price. All in all would definitely recommend and thank you for a lovely stay, even got the meat the mascot himself Monty.

It's known for its energetic atmosphere, with options for boat rentals, kiosks, and lifeguards available. The beach is lined with restaurants, tapas bars, and shops, making it a popular destination for visitors. Playa Burriana also features smooth sand and gentle surf, making it ideal for families and kids.
Nice beach, fun vibes. Lots of activities. Parking a bit difficult but doable. Lots of beds are reserved so apparently that's a thing. You can reserve a bed ahead of time. The water is nice and blue and clear. The surroundings are beautiful. Medium to high in terms of how busy it is
Jelmer — Google review
We visited twice. In the first day the water was very calm and the beach had pebbles - 2 days later the beach was sandy and the water cold and “angry”. The entrance in the water is pretty deep. At every 2 steps the difference is more than 50cm depth. After 2 meters I wasn’t touching the bottom anymore. The color is wonderful, a very clean turquoise. If you want sun-beds you have to come early and you still might have low chances because people do reservations in advance. But there is room on the beach for towels and own umbrella if you are inspired enough to bring one.
Andreea D — Google review
The beach is set in a stunning natural landscape, with soft sand and a very welcoming atmosphere. There is free parking available right next to the beach, though it’s best to arrive early as spaces fill up quickly. On-site, you’ll find public restrooms and free water stations, which is a great convenience. There are also plenty of options nearby to grab a meal or enjoy a refreshing drink. For those looking for activities, you can rent a kayak or simply relax under a parasol with sunbeds. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot and definitely a place worth returning to.
Jakub — Google review
Very nice beach, lots of people and umbrellas, but everyone can find a place. Lots of parking but very hard to find a free spot, but with pacience it can be done. The entrace in the sea water is kind of rough, water gets over your dead pretty fast from the shore. Lots of restaurants and shopping store near the beach.
Victor N — Google review
Fine gravel beach, that has public toilets close by. Nice clean beach and clear sea, good for snorkeling. Promenade is lined with shops, Bars & Restaurants
Cliff B — Google review
We arrived here at the beach around 1 PM and none of the beach clubs had any places left as they were already full and we couldn’t rent any sunbeds or umbrellas, so instead of leaving this beach, we decided to buy beach chairs and a umbrella from a store nearby which costed us around hundred euros for two people, but this allowed us to pick a spot that we would prefer a bit further from people. The water is very cold I would say but the beach is well organized with showers and many bars or restaurants around it so you could really enjoy your beach day but maybe if you’re really into swimming not really the best place to be.
Mert I — Google review
Lively and buzzing family beach. Great reasonably priced restaurants. Clean and free toilets. Definitely recommend the kayaking, which is great fun. Pedalos are great fun too…as long as a sudden squall does not appear. One of my favourite European family beaches.

Absolutely lovely beach. Nice shops and restaurants. Crushed stone like sand but beautiful crystal clear water when calm.

The hotel provides 34 well-appointed guestrooms with amenities such as satellite TV, wireless internet, and lounge areas for a comfortable stay. Conveniently located near popular attractions like Balcon de Europa and Plaza de Espana, the hotel also features an outdoor swimming pool, sunbathing terrace, and rooftop pool.
Stayed 6 nights as attended a wedding in the area. The hotel is wonderfully clean and comfortable in a central location. It has a lovely rooftop pool with a snack bar. The cafe downstairs serves extremely reasonable food and drinks. Highly recommend!!

Great location and wonderful staff. However, minor details let it down. No Tea/Coffee in room. Air con not working, soap dispenser not working. Pool out of action for 2 days for maintenance. Buffet has a nice selection but left our too long! Eggs are like rubber.
AAHCroydon C — Google review
Disappointed. We booked a room. We became room 101. I got sick in the morning of the smell and terrible air(oxygen). We left early, I couldn’t sleep, once outside it was much better. I think the mold or so. It’s really out of date.

Count not ask for a better location, couple of hundred feet to balcon area, small but nice rooftop pool, with snack bar..any encounter with staff has been very positive, this is our 5/6 time and already looking to book again for next year

Great location, yards from centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice having a fridge in the room, but would prefer a walk in shower.

This place is the epitome of a hidden gem. The location can't be beaten - 1 min walk to the Balcon and overlooking a lovely square that comes alive with locals & had a market on a Saturday. The rooms are a great size, there's a rooftop pool & a café on the plaza. For the money it's an absolute steal. Highly recommend!

Nice central spot, good service. The parking is a little tricky. There is parking underneath the central square that the hotel is on but you ha e to get a remote from the hotel to open a separate door in the public parking, a little weird, I just paid the extra money to park in the regular lot, didn't seem worth the hassle. But it is 10 euros cheaper and something you'd wa t to do if you are staying for a few days.

Carabeo Beach is a hidden gem in the heart of Nerja, known for its exclusivity and privacy. Accessible via a steep staircase from the Carabeo area, this small, secluded beach offers a sense of tranquility and natural beauty. Surrounded by cliffs, it provides a stunning backdrop and shade during hot summer months. With crystal clear waters and no amenities like sun loungers or restaurants, Carabeo Beach is appreciated for its simplicity and unspoiled charm.
Beautiful and quiet ! Great for swimming! Extremely clean and safe ! The couples beach ! Also there’s a grocery shop on the stairs ,got everything food wise .
Yuliya Y — Google review
Amazing small beach with showers and toilets but no sunbeds. It was very clean and relatively less crowded. You can buy an umbrella from the convenience store at the top of the stairs
Sena K — Google review
Personally I consider this beach to be the best in Nerja. Not too big, but the landscape is beautiful, showers and toilets are available. If the weather allows it,you should definitely swim near the rocks (balcon de Europa direction) for a pleasant surprise. If you are in Nerja and you love the sea, you need to try this.
Maximilian B — Google review
Enjoyed this beach, quite a few steps up and down, but fairly easy. No Sun loungers to rent, but clean each and easy to access the water.
Debbie R — Google review
Carabeo Beach is kind of hidden from view because of the cliffs that surround it, but you can easily find it walking down Calle Carabeo from the center of Nerja. To access the beach you will need to use a set of very steep steps to walk down into this cove surrounded by massive rocks on both sides.

With 38 rooms, a garden, and conference facilities, it caters to both leisure and business travelers. The venue also provides free WiFi and complimentary private parking.
We enjoyed a day menu consisting of 3 courses and drinks for under euros! My chicken was tender and juicy and the chocolate mousse was rich and creamy- definitely a good place to go and very close to nerja caves
Ria R — Google review
The location is nice for the price, 5mins drive to Nerja. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We travelled with our 1 year old and they provided us with a crib. The rooms need a refresher and could use a good cleaning. The bedding was clean and the room smelled good, but the AC was full of dust, and we found spider webs in different spots in the room. The AC works, but it’s the same temperature for the whole hotel. We only stayed one night, and I wouldn’t have stayed longer than that. I would suggest it if you go for short period of time.
Catherine E — Google review
I stayed at this hotel and unfortunately my experience wasn’t very positive. The place feels more like a motel than a proper hotel. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, which made the stay uncomfortable. The staff service could be much better. With the exception of one gentleman who was kind and helpful, the rest of the (female) staff were quite dismissive when I asked for assistance. Also, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families with children. The pool area is treated as a quiet space and swimming is actually forbidden, which defeats the purpose if you’re traveling with kids. Overall, I would only recommend this hotel for a quick overnight stop, but definitely not for a weekend stay.
Mary C — Google review
Air conditioner didn't work properly, so it was difficult to stay and especially sleep when the weather was 40°C in August. There are no windows in the bedroom ((( Poor cleaning, the floor and shower were dirty. Breakfast was not bad

I had reserved a room which I had paid in advance, and on the day of departure I paid for the breakfast. When I check my credit card account later, I see that the hotel has carried out two transactions on my card this day, they have correctly charged me for the breakfast, but they have also charged me for the room once more. When I contact the hotel by e-mail, they first reply that it is now the tourist season and that I cannot expect to get the same price every time. When I once again clarify that they have taken payment twice, they stop answering. Stay far away from this hotel, they are scamming you.

Scenic spot
Balcón de Europa is a stunning overlook located in Nerja, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea, nearby beaches, and distant mountains. Situated on a rocky cliff facing the sea, this picturesque area features typical Andalusian coastal town architecture with whitewashed houses adorned with flowers and narrow pedestrian streets leading to terraces with impressive coastline vistas.
What a gem of a place! Buzzing with people from all corners of the globe, surrounded by shops you didn’t know you needed, and restaurants that might just ruin your diet (in the best way). The main square is charming, there’s an adorable little church, and the whole place has this cozy, “welcome home” vibe—with a balcony view over Europe that makes you feel like you’re in a postcard. It’s busy, yes, but not in that “help, I’m in a tourist stampede” kind of way like Málaga can be. Definitely worth a visit for a day or two—your camera will thank you.
Aci V — Google review
An incredible and must see spot in Nerja. The views from the balcon are breathtaking and a must see, especially at sunset. Its usually busy in high season so bare that in mind, but evening time/night time is a must. The area is bustling with people and sometimes has music and bands playing. There is always something going on in the town centre.
Olivia B — Google review
Don’t miss it if you’re in the area. Amazing views, restaurants close by and near the old town of Nerja. Bit too crowded though, in off season it should be much pleasant, with few people around 🤣
Marius R — Google review
Nice pleasant experience walking down to the Balcon overlooking the sea. The paraquets can be heard around the area. Shared a very nice pizza and decent beer in the hotel bar closest to the Balcon edge.
Derek S — Google review
Balcón de Europa is a nice viewpoint with a beautiful panorama of the coastline and the sea. It’s well maintained and easy to reach from the town center. The area around it is lively, with cafés, restaurants, and small shops. It can get quite crowded, especially during the day, so it’s best to visit early in the morning or later in the evening if you want a quieter experience. Overall, it’s worth a visit for the view and atmosphere, though it feels more like a quick stop than a place to spend much time

Guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, rooftop terrace with sunbeds and hot tub. The hotel also provides complimentary Wi-Fi and airport transfer services.
I've stayed in Hotel Villa Flamenca a few times now. I always have a wonderful stay. It is spotlessly clean, the hotel staff from reception, bar and restaurant are so helpful and so so friendly. They’re always happy to go above and beyond. Pizzas are great for a pool snack, great selection for breakfast. It’s a very short walk to the beach and between 5-10 min walk to the main town. I will definitely go back to the Flamenca again.

A really great hotel. Our room wasn't large but it was enough, the beds were really comfy and the room was cleaned each day. The staff were friendly and attentive and arranged some excursions for us. The pool bar and restaurant were great and the food was delicious. There is a short walk into town, about 15 minutes. There is a supermarket 5 minutes away and has all you might need. I would definitely recommend staying here

A last minute booking was a treat. Clean hotel, great room with a pool view on the top floor so could even see the sea. Great happy hour every day, bar service did get a little busy. There is a great little bar a short walk away. It is down hill to the beach but you could stop off half way at a bar. 15 minute walk into the town was great to walk up an appetite. All in all a great recommendation.

Just got back from 9 nine night stay at hotel villa flamenca, fabulous hotel, in the perfect location for beach holiday and also experience of an old Spanish town. Have stayed in this hotel 3 times now and each time I leave, I can't wait to go back. The friendly disposition of all staff is unlike anywhere else I've stayed - with a special mention to the lady who cooks the eggs freshly at breakfast and to the bar staff at the pool bar. They all made our stay one to remember. The quality of the breakfast is amazing, with everything you could possibly want to eat and drink. No request has ever been too much for the hotel. On the day of check out they offer a courtesy room where you can shower if you have a later flight. The food in the pool bar and restaurant is of a really high quality too. All in, couldn't recommend more. Thank you again for a fantastic holiday.

Faultless Would definitely stay again

The hotel is very good. It's very clean and the facilities are great. The staff are so friendly and helpful, from reception to the the cleaners. Only had breakfast and lunch there so can't comment on the restaurant. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice; cold meats, plenty cooked food with eggs cooked as you want, cheeses, fruit, a selection of bread and pastries and the usual fruit juices and hot drinks. Had lunch at the pool bar and loved the food there as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel but be prepared for a bit of walking as the hotel is on a residential area.

Great sitting-off place - sun trap and view. I found this the best place to descend (a lot of) steps, as a shortcut and easier way to access Burriana beach. Took my time getting back up, and nobody objected. Medium knee mobility issues.

Excellent value for money 3 star hotel. A little tired in places but they are slowly refurbishing and it is getting there. The majority of staff are friendly and obliging. Just be aware that you need to take a piece of paper with your information on to the restaurant for every meal or you will be refused entry. They need to tell you how important this is when you arrive otherwise you will have to go back up to your room and get it! Happy hour half price 4pm until 6pm. Sports bar and entertainment on certain days. Neil is hilarious and a great entertainer, our kids loved him. Food is good, plenty of salads, choice of meat, fish or vegetarian/vegan. Breakfast also has plenty of variety. I think some people must be super fussy. Short walk down hill to the beach. Thirty minutes to the town or you can catch a bus. Taxis are reasonable. Supermarket nearby. Fridge and kettle in the room. We had a sea view which was lovely. Nice pool and plenty of sunbeds. Nerja is a beautiful place. Weather at the end of April was perfect for me, around 25 degrees. Rooms cleaned every day. Reception staff are very informative and happy to help. All staff are very hardworking and hats off to them all for serving us an evening meal in the face of adversity when we had a major blackout 💡⚡👍🏻👏👏 I would definitely recommend this hotel as it offers great value for money and is in a beautiful location.

Four stars for a three star hotel. Rooms were basic and in need of a face-lift, but very good value for what we paid. Food was typical for this type of hotel, and the kitchen did their best to vary the menu each night. No complaints for quantity or quality. Located one mile from the beach and town centre, it was ideal for our purpose. It was the reason we chose this hotel. Supermarkets on either side of the road and only 3/4 miles from the main bus station. It was quieter than most other hotels closer to the beach, and the pool area was always accessible.
John N — Google review
The beach is 1k away - down the side of mount everest! Its the steepest hills. If you want indoor pool you have to book it & pay for a hair cap and judging by reviews its not worth it. Reception are supposed to help with car hire, they just directed us to Nerja (again the walk down mount everest). We travelled all day to get here & were tired so were ONE minute late for breakfast and were turned away by the rude staff. My husband was literally standing at the door to get in but I'd forgotten our PAPER room number for breakfast so i ran to retrieve it, and was ONE minute late back and the extremely rude and abrupt waiter turned us away, despite there still being food and people in the room. Despicable! Our patio door is like moving bricks to get onto our patio which is infested with ants which are now in our room and all over our belongings. Its not a 'garden room' its a stinking basement with a tiny strip of grass and a brick wall view. This 'garden' basement room smells of damp and is terribly run down, and the steep narrow stairs down are treacherous when wet. The breakfast is awful, the food was really terrible selection and not cooked very good and the juices? we are in a country that grows oranges and they give you watered down juice from a machine. We once lived in Spain and I can assure readers, if you visit Spain, this hotel is not Spain! Spanish are wonderful people, this hotel is the equivalent of a hostel and with no facilities you can walk to - you're their hostage. Unhelpful miserable staff, smelly run down rooms, not even ambient music by the outside pool, just people sitting around looking miserable! Absolutely awful place that I can wholeheartedly say I'd give zero stars if I could. And dont expect to find anything close by, its a very steep long walk to anything, if you dont bus or taxi you're stuck in this dire hotel. I've travelled all of Spain and stayed in many cheap & cheerful places - this is the exception. This morning we've encountered strangers telling us they've been complaining to their Rep every day since arriving, and we're not surprised. The latest reviews show cockroaches! If your goal is to sit at a lifeless pool all day with a few miserable staff around, this hotel is for you. There's no scenery, nothing to look at except each other - and the ants eating your pills (photo) 😂😡 Absolutely and totally 100% ruined our holiday, I'll never use this hotel again or book through OnTheBeach who think this is a 3 star hotel. I'd say 1-2 star max!

A lovely smallish hotel on outskirts of Nerjah, very nice staff, very clean and relaxing. The food however lacked quality and choice of meats, very nice salads, but chicken drumsticks, fish, ham & cheese fryits(well done)was on for most nights with very little change. hot dog sausages for breakfast and what was leftover put out for the evening dining. Scrambled eggs were very watery, and the eggs, bacon etc were swimming in oil. Not a pleasure to dine here. But that is the only down side.

Lovely place stayed for 4 nights, staff are very hard working & kind, rooms are fab and clean with air con. Right on the beach, location is great near the town and the balcon. Will stay here again would just add that there was construction that woke me two mornings so maybe a heads up should have been given regarding this and the roof top pool unavailable, the other pool was available next to the cafe, would definitely add a mirror for the dressing tables for all us ladies getting ready, all in all lovely stay, will be back.

Beachfront location (playa chucho), sea view rooms are really worth it, sunsets are beautiful! The staff is welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is OK, a bit too much oriented towards visitors from the UK though. A disappointment for me was a smell in the bathroom, this really needs attention. Otherwise the rooms are clean and comfortable

This was our first time in Spain. This hotel was under construction without previous notification. There were cranes in front of our balcony for days. The rooftop, pool and Terrace were unavailable because of construction. Monday through Friday there was hammering drilling diesel fumes from 8 am in the morning, lasting all day. We tried to contact management and we were not contacted until after we left the property. They did show us a room option that was a view of the side of the building and a sliver of the ocean. We were reassured that the cranes were only going to be there for three hours on the first day that was not true There were multiple cranes on multiple days, loading bricks, loading concrete and hammering constantly. It is a beautiful property. The staff was really helpful and amazing but the management isn’t taking responsibility for the fact that it’s false advertisement, and we should’ve been informed that this property was under construction.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Perla Marina! From the second I walked on the property, the receptionist (Gloria) was incredibly kind and helpful! I was nervous to book a hotel that wasn’t in the city center but in hindsight I am so glad I did!!!! The hotel was so quiet, had its own beach apart from the craziness of the downtown area, and was an easy / quick walk to the city’s center. Parking was a breeze (I traveled in May when the town wasn’t too busy)… the hotel has a parking garage and there were open street parking as well. The room had all I needed and it also had a kettle (in case you want to bring your own coffee / tea). I will definitely stay here again!

Rooms were quite good and clean. AC was great! Roof top pool is perfect to cool down. Only small issues would be there is no iron in the room. Also people leaving their towels on sun loungers all day without coming back, leaving none for others. Staff informed but told nothing they can do….

Great location, staff were nice but the hotel building across the road - our ac was on full blast of cold but did little to nothing.. We had two staff members come up and check. After the first we were told it would be perfect in 2 hrs (it was not). Second time no air was pumping out at all, staff member noticed that the sensors on doors were loose so had to squeeze together as won't work of it thinks the doors are open. Only offered room swap on second last day which was pointless due to youngest asleep and going in a day. Was cooler leaving both doors open, the hallway was colder than our room. Paid extra from apartments to have access to pool. Won't be doing it again..

Worst expensive hotel ever! Be aware !First day we had hundrends of ants in our room on second floor! The reception says its normal and can not do anything about it because we brought food in our room. For the first time of our life, this should not be a problem. Second l, the pool is not child friendly. The pool is too small and most people are couples standing in the pool cuddling, hugging and kissing all day while my children tries to play. I think its inappropriate for let them play between those people. Breakfast buffet starts too late from 8am and only untill 10.30 am. Location is disaster because there are simply no parking space so I have to park 20 minutes walking distance away. The interior is not 4 star worthy. It looks like it hasn't been changed since the sixties and the gameroom has still even non working desktop for internet and bridge table where nobody plays. They should make a modern playroom facility for children where they can play. We paid almost €1000 for 3 nights and we hardly used the pool and the facilities. This was such a lousy experience in Nerja and we expected so much more as our last days of our holiday. Thats why we have to give 1 star. I recommend this hotel to nobody.

This charming bed and breakfast features simply furnished rooms that prioritize comfort and cleanliness, ensuring an enjoyable stay for all visitors. We stayed in the apartments next door to the restaurant. They are beautiful and have everything you need for your stay. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very nice and served great food. The pool area could do with opening earlier than 11am, but it was very nice and the staff were very helpful. I loved our visit to Nerja and will be back.

It is located near the centre of town. Rooms are adequate and clean. Very good service and good food. Pool area is great and peaceful. Lot of traffic outside, and parking tricky.

Nice clean and cheap hostal with super good food at the restaurant at the bottom flor, located in centrum of Nerja. The beer was so delicious that it was impossible to take a foto of it, I tried several times always the same result, empty beer glass. Sopa de gaspatso and grilled swordfish 😋

Stayed for few nights. It's a bit of a mixed bag to be honest. Food staff and pool very good. However the storage space in the room a bit challenging for 3 people. Simply not enough drawers. However overall would recommend. Fabulous full breakfast for less than a fiver.
Maurice O — Google review
The rooms are very clean and what you expect for the price. Only downside are thin walls. Good choice of breakfast for 4 euros. Hostal is close to the main attractions. Five minutes walk. I would definitely stay again but not in high season. I imagine it would be very noisy.

My wife and I, plus two friends have eaten in the restaurant on two occasions this week. We enjoyed immensely the 10 euro menú del día on the first occasion, this is 3 coarses with drink and bread included. The second occasion we tried the 15 euro menú del día, this is 3 coarses with bread included, drinks are extra, this was also very enjoyable food. The service was excellent and the decor and ambience is delightful. I would recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment, especially if there is a large group. My wife and I returned today, 24/02/2022, for lunch, the menú del día is now 11 Euros for a 3 coarse meal including, bread and drink, if you wish you can have a coffee or tea instead of dessert. We both ordered tinto de verano (red wine mixed with caseras/ lemonade) as our drink, for our first coarse we both had Vegetable Paella, for our second coarse my wife had the chicken and I had the pork fillets in a beer sauce and finally we both had coffee instead of the dessert. The food and service was excellent.

We love this local place. I stayed here when looking for.our apartment. The food and portions of the family owned hostal is amazing. However , we went for a little dessert. Found the Chocolate Tart to be very dry .. and the white wine not at the optimal temp. .. could have been the time of day

Great lunch place, nice drinks as well. This hostel feels more than it is. There's also a huge restaurant downstairs with a new pool area and an outdoor bar just built. The owners are very accommodating to your requests. Simply with it wether it's food or overnight accommodating you're looking for

Beach
Playa de Burriana is the largest and most popular beach in the area, located just a 15-minute walk from the town center. During summer, this Blue Flag beach offers a wide range of activities such as water sports, seafront promenades, and play areas for children. It's known for its fine golden sand and has been featured on TV shows. Visitors can enjoy various water sports like jet skiing and sea kayaking or simply relax on sunbeds available for hire.
This beach in Nerja is clean, beautiful, the water is clear and it has plenty of restaurants and clean bathrooms. There is also plenty of free street parking. There are also plenty of services to rent kayaks, paddle boards, etc. is a very fun beach. A little rocky for sure, so I would recommend water shoes.
Carol L — Google review
Beautiful and silent beach to spend the day :) Instead of sand you’ll find little rocks, so it might be uncomfortable to walk without sandals.

Be careful with this guy…I reserved 2 sunbeds for my parents because they speak in our native language only.. and when he saw 4 of us (+me and bro) he sent us out…I told him that no need bed for me and bro beach we go directly from to the sea..he just said “no no no” and clear us out..hyena…unfriendly..disappointed in Spain Later: for sure he was arguing with others as well.. (We stayed just because my mom cannot sit down directly in the sand)

One of the beaches I would highly recommend going to! If you're staying around Malaga main city, or the outskirts, this beach is only a 30-45min drive out and offers plenty once you are there! Views, Weather, beautiful sun, sand running through your toes and the water...oh super refreshing and can't be missed! The beach is massive and offers many beach areas to rent sunbeds, cabana's or even just a simple tent if needed right on the beach. Not to mention, tens of restaurants and bars offering you drinks, snacks, lunch and more while there to keep you hydrated throughout your morning and afternoon! When the weather is pleasant, would also recommend some kayaking, snorkeling or any of the water activities they offer there at super amazing prices, as low as 10 euros!

The Parque Natural de Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama is a rugged and mountainous national park that offers a range of outdoor activities. It surrounds the city of Nerja, providing a stunning backdrop of limestone mountain ranges overlooking the Mediterranean. The park features various hiking trails, waterfalls, and natural wonders to explore.
While staying in Spain on an extended vacation, I rented a motor scooter for two days. Being on the southern coast there were plenty of mountains available. It took a little getting used to the small scooter as I ride a Honda Goldwing back in the States. I thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous scenery both days. It didn't take long to get out of the busy coastal area and start enjoying the curves and switchbacks. The weather cooperated both days with plenty of sunshine and wonderful temperatures.

Hotel
Hotel Toboso Chaparil is a laid-back accommodation option located in the center of Nerja, offering a quiet and friendly atmosphere. The hotel provides functional rooms, some with balconies and views, as well as amenities such as an outdoor pool and a restaurant. Its central location allows for easy access to attractions like Burriana Beach and Balcon de Europa.
My mum and I stayed 27th Dec - 3rd Jan. Our overall experience here was really good. Our rooms were spotless with maid service every day. The beds were comfortable. There was ample wardrobe space, which also housed a free-to-use safe. There was a large TV with plenty of English channels and a large and modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. We both had balconies overlooking the square at the rear of the hotel. My mum was on the second floor and had a better view than me, as being on the first floor meant my view was slightly obscured by trees. The breakfast room was bright and clean with a good selection of breakfast goods. Cereals, fruits, cheese, ham, bacon, eggs, etc. Fresh breads and jams, There was a coffee machine and a selection of fruit juices and even a selection of doughnuts and cakes. There was also a toaster and a microwave. The reception staff were really helpful and friendly, always smiling and ready to help. The cleaning staff, too, we cheerful and always greeted you with a smile. Being winter, the rooftop pool was closed, but access to the rooftop terrace was permitted, and several people used the sun loungers to soak up the afternoon sun. The view of the mountains was breathtaking. It was my first visit to Nerja and I was really pleased with the location of the hotel. Within minutes, there was a great choice of tapas bars and restaurants. The Balcon de Europe was a pleasant ten minute stroll, the beach even nearer. The only improvement I would ask for would be a small fridge and tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

Wonderfully clean 3 star hotel. Upgrade to a balcony if possible. Extremely comfortable beds and efficient heating when required. Breakfasts adequate but eating in town much better and not Marbella prices! The addition of a kettle might have pushed me to a 5 * . Fantastic location: Balcony de Europa only Few minutes’ walk.

Ideal location, bus stop across the road. Bus station 10min walk.

We booked through booking.com, the photos showed the Toboso in the heart of the town. So we thought, what a great location. When we arrived we were told we were in the wrong hotel and we were directed here to the chaparil. Upon arriving we were instantly disappointed, not only was it a good 10 minute walk in the wrong direction, the room was appalling, the view was of another apartment window about 15 feet away, no fridge, just a total disappointment. Ultimately the hotel accepted no responsibility for this and blamed booking.com So we are here, destined for 5 days of staying in a cheap nasty room !!! I think this will sadly be the last time we visit Nerja, there are much better parts of Spain where we don't get ripped off. Booking.com, Toboso. you should be ashamed of the way you do business.
Andrew D — Google review
We have stayed here 3 times and we really love it. It's reasonably priced, it's in a nice area and the rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is very good, there is a wide choice. Two small criticisms are that the hot food isn't always exactly hot but it's a buffet so to be expected, and it would be nice to have coffee making facilities in your room but to be honest everything else is fine and everyone working here is so polite and helpful it's a pleasure to stay here. I would recommend it.
Carol C — Google review

Excellent location, close to beaches and to the town centre. Small room, but it is spotlessly clean. With small tv, comfortable bed, powerful shower, and air conditioning. Rooftop pool with great views. Sunbeds are available, but there are no umbrellas. No irons were available during the duration of our stay. Ideally, the room could do with a refrigerator, especially in the sunmer months. Overall, I would say good value for money.
Sarah O — Google review
I probably would have given this hotel a 4 or even a 5 given its location, its cleanliness, the reception staff and the stunning view from my third floor room. However, unfortunately, halfway through my trip, on Wednesday 2 April, I came back to discover that someone had gone through my luggage, which was locked with a padlock, and an envelope containing Euros had disappeared. In the interests of fairness it does say on the door of the room that the hotel is not responsible if you do not put valuables in the room safety deposit box and that is what I was told when I reported it. Fair enough, although they are not foolproof as staff can access them with master keys or codes – after all, how do they re-set it after a guest has used it and have it ready for the next one. I was a little surprised at the lack of reaction/empathy, just that it is your fault and tough, rather than look at the bigger picture that someone had been into my room, looked for my luggage which was kept under the bed and locked with a padlock. I would have thought that this should have at least raised a few alarm bells with them – could happen to someone else. This individual(s) had taken the time to look around for the key, which was hidden under a pillow on the top shelf of the wardrobe, unlocked the case, rifled through my belongings and then took the envelope with money in it, locked the case back up and put it under the bed – so clearly in there for a while. Also to note that this hotel does not have CCTV, at least not on the third floor anyway. Whilst the views were excellent from the balcony, given my experience obviously not somewhere I would ever stay again and left feeling very disappointed and upset. I have been fortunate to stay in many places (including a few in Nerja) and something like this has never, ever happened to me before – it has certainly left a very bitter taste in my mouth. In fact, it is the first time (and hopefully the last!) I have ever had to write a bad review about somewhere I have stayed.

Excellent for the price, small rooms for US standards but normal for European hotels, very clean and they do have a nice terrace with a table and seats to enjoy the nice weather. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the woman we dealt more with at the front desk (I think her name is Ana). Breakfast or meals were not included but prices at the attached cafeteria are very very cheap. Very well located. Highly recommended. No complain at all.

The rooftop pool area is unreal with panoramic views of the sea and the mountains, food and drink is available from a little rooftop kitchen. The bedrooms are spotless with everything you need but my advice is pay extra to have a room at the front overlooking the bustling square. We did not know that this restaurant had several rooms, and none of the staff suggested that we may sit in any of the rooms we choose to. Unfortunately, where we sat, we were pretty uncomfortable . However, the service was great, the food was so good. Not the vegetables, though. They were bitter and overcooked. The fish, however, was spectacular. For the 1st course, we had the sardines, and for the main course, we had the Sea Bass. Compliments to the chef.

Very nice hotel Super central in Nerja. Staff is very friendly and super helpful! There is no parking available, but there are 3 around the city center ( suggested Parking Balcon de Europa, since it's a 2 minutes walking distance, that costs 23 euro a day ). Rooms are clean and with all the nécessaire for your stay. Pool is small but nice; blanket can be taken from the front desk ( minus here is that a lot of people are leaving the blanket and then are leaving for hours ). Overall the stay was positive; the cons is that you hear everything from the outside of the room and from the outside of the Building , so if you have loudy people around or on the street, like happened to us, It can be a bit of a nightmare sometime!

The staff are amazing, especially the girl with blond hair. The hotel itself is kept clean. The rooms are decent. You have plenty of selection in terms of TV channels. The only criticism I have is the people who reserve sunbeds without returning for hours, maybe a sign to say you can only reserve for max up to an hour without return and theirs a lack of umbrellas for the percentage of beds overall I would recommend this hotel to others and I will most certainly be returning.

Hotel Puerta del Mar may be the very best option to stay at the heart of Nerja. The hotel is freshly decorated, clean and well kept. I would say what sets it apart aside from any other hotel in the area is it's location at the very center of Nerja, and what I can only describe as an underrated terrace that we had almost to ourselves the one afternoon we decided to lounge there.

Exceptional! The room exceeded our expectations and everything was super clean and new. Breakfast was okay. It is about a one minute walk to the Balcony of Europa. We drove in trying to get a free parking spot as suggested by the hotel - chaos! There is a municipal parking garage near the Balcony and next to the hotel and this may be your best option even though it is a little pricey.

Just the perfect location for a break in the centre of Nerja. The staff are amazing, and very helpful with my limited Spanish. Breakfast was efficient, clean and constantly refilled. I stayed in a non-refurbished room that was very comfortable, tasteful and had everything I needed, including a fridge! The roof terrace is fantastic - modern and with plenty of areas to sunbathe relatively privately. The saltwater pool is perfect for a cool down dip. A highly recommended hotel.

Plaza Balcon De Europa is a long, tree-lined plaza located behind the Balcony of Europe. It features street musicians and performers, making it a lively and entertaining spot for visitors. The square is adorned with unique white archways with beautiful blue flowerpots attached to them, adding to its charm. Visitors can enjoy the central area of the plaza, surrounded by palm trees, while sipping on a glass of sangria.
When you first hear the name Balcon de Europa, you think of an attraction from the last century. In reality this is a very worthwhile attraction. A unique and stunning place. There is an atmosphere of luxury from old Europe. A few ancient cannons and a ship's rudder from several hundred years ago. The special marble flooring is undoubtedly contemporary. The view is amazing, at any time of the day. In the meantime I happened to come in the morning. I'm sure that at sunset the view from here is magical. It is especially worth coming here.

Unfortunately we chose a very wet day to visit the plaza at Nerja as can be seen by the video. On a warm dry day it would a great place to take a stroll look out over the water and have an ice cream.

We visited Plaza Balcón de Europa in Nerja with our family during Easter week. Although we didn’t get to see any special events or parades during our stay, our day at this beautiful spot was more than enough to create unforgettable memories. The plaza is famous for its breathtaking views over the Mediterranean Sea. Perched on a cliff, it offers sweeping vistas of the coastline and distant mountains—so stunning that no photo could truly capture their beauty. Our whole family was amazed, and we took countless photos while the kids happily ran around the spacious plaza. Plaza Balcón de Europa is truly a fantastic destination for families. The area feels safe and open, allowing children to play freely. There are plenty of cozy cafés and ice cream shops nearby, perfect for taking a break. Simply sitting on a bench, gazing out over the sea with my family, was a wonderfully relaxing experience. The old town of Nerja, just steps from the plaza, is also a must-see. Strolling through its whitewashed, flower-lined streets felt like walking through a storybook village. We enjoyed delicious local food at nearby restaurants and discovered the charming, laid-back atmosphere of the area. Even though we didn’t witness any special Easter events, our day at Plaza Balcón de Europa became a cherished memory for our whole family. With its stunning scenery, peaceful atmosphere, and the warmth of the local people, I can confidently give this destination a full five stars!

Wow just wow, what a beautiful place to see. A very busy place with loads of authentic shops to look round as well
Jamie B — Google review
Probably the highlight of Nerja and well worth taking the time to visit. The Plaza is picturesque and lively with plenty of places to sit and enjoy a cold drink or an ice cream. It is the beginning point of the Balcon de Europa which affords great views of the local beaches, the coastline and the mountains beyond.

Beautiful view and a very nice place. It can get quite windy in the evenings, so make sure to bring a jacket.

Nestled at the top of Calle San Miguel, Hostal San Miguel is a charming retreat adjacent to the picturesque Plaza Cantarero, affectionately known as Orange Square. This modern establishment features 12 well-appointed double or twin rooms, with nine offering delightful amenities such as en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, heating, and small balconies that provide lovely views. The hostel's prime location places it just a short stroll from Parque Verano Azul and near the iconic Church of El Salvador.
Good quality hostel with great location. Close to center! The staff were so helpful. When I called them, they sent a google pin of where to park for free not too far from the hostel.
Montana F — Google review
A small establishment on Calle San Miguel, only a dozen rooms or so. Check in slightly awkward as the reception was closed when I arrived. Shower a little past its best. There was a breakfast buffet but I never used it. TV, air con, fan, a plunge pool on the roof, in room safe, fridge, all expected facilities on a budget. Very good.
Christoph J — Google review
Have used 3 times. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Local TV, but hey!,! It's a hostel not The Hilton! Besides, if you want UK TV, stay in the UK!. Free parking close by and within easy reach of The Balcon. Will deffo use again.
Andy M — Google review
Exceptionally clean rooms & corridors. Safe and fridge in the room which is a bonus. Rooftop needed a clean and some of the furniture replacing. Lighting in bathroom is very dim.
Anne B — Google review
Room great but no satellite tv for english people and the bathroom quite smelly avoid rooms 205 and 206 as it is very noisy as the apartment above has a washing machine and tumble dryer going all night sorry san Miguel but this is our experience

Good hostal, very kind owners, the beds are not firm, terrace with a small swimming pool and a mini bar area, good location

Playa la Caletilla is a hidden gem located just below the iconic Balcon de Europa in Nerja, a charming coastal town on the Malaga province. This picturesque beach offers stunning views of flower-adorned cliffs and the sparkling blue sea, making it an ideal spot for families with young children. The journey to this lovely cove involves wandering through narrow streets lined with pristine white walls that evoke a Santorini vibe.
Indeed, this beach is Playa El Salon but unfortunatly I cannot change the name. It is a very beautiful, cozy, intimate free acces beach. Ypu can spend some time admiring the wavesand the silence. There are also very small pebbles everywhere. The toilet is free acces and pretty clean. The best part on this beach are the tiny houses, I guess they are private, but they look stunning. I could spend some time there.
Alice V — Google review
Very nice beach with a cozy drinks and snack bar. There are also toilets but the showers weren’t working.

Really a nice Sandy beach for kids. Shower also available!! Nice waves!!

Really cozy and sort of hidden in plain sight. Good size and with some amenities.
Lucas M — Google review
La Caletilla is a very small beach (max around 50m long and 15m deep) to the right (west) of the Balcón de Europa in Nerja. At times, weather conditions result in the beach disappearing completely.
Rob G — Google review
Caletilla Beach is located just below the Balcón de Europa on the western side and is one of the smallest beaches in Nerja. Because it is so small many people believe it is a private beach as it’s located just below Hotel El Balcón, but it’s a public beach that anyone can visit.

The accommodation is praised for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and efficient air conditioning. While parking in the narrow streets can be challenging, there is nearby public parking available.
Really nice little hotel. The room was very nice, big and very clean. And Francisco is a super nice guy, made us be very confortable
Teleport W — Google review
This is a house with multiple rooms. You can rent a room. We had to sleep without AC when it was almost 40 degrees outside. The owner has set up something when the doors are open, the air conditioner will not work. And the owner did not bother to tell this in instruction. The only way to contact the owner was through whatsapp. Messaged the owner several times from 12 to 6 am to no avail. Finally responded at 7 am about the instruction to close the window. We waited the whole night and couldn't sleep at all as it was really hot. Really bad service. We finally got some sleep and they did not have the courtesy to offer a late check-out. The checkout was at 11 and at 11.15 they came knocking on our door asking to leave despite having such a rough night. The room itself is very small and the washroom is tiny. But it's tidy. But better to stay somewhere with a better support or service.
Fathima B — Google review
You can't get a better location than this guesthouse. Our host, very graciously, came out to take our bags in, as we had arrived early. Also the streets are extremely narrow, so if arriving in a vehicle, offloading has to be done quickly :). Public (free) parking is close by, but figuring out how to get there with all the one way streets, can be a lot of fun...NOT!...LOL. The rooms were very clean as well as the bathroom. Basic room, but all that was needed. A/C worked well. Beds comfy. Everything is well within walking distance. Very affordable and highly recommend.
Linda N — Google review
We stayed at Armijo Rooms for 4 nights and Francisco the host was great. He gave us a warm welcome and showed us everything we needed as well as letting me have use of a hairdryer and said he would supply any extra towels or toiletries if we ran out. The room was immaculate and so was our bathroom. Kitchen was immaculate and everything we needed was there. Roof top terrace was lovely to sit on in mornings with our cup of tea. Location is perfect for walking into town. Definitely recommend staying here and not expensive either
Rachael H — Google review
Excellent service, rooms, and location. Owner was very helpful on Whatsapp. We were able to store our luggage before check-in, and that is always appreciated.
George Y — Google review
(Translated by Google) Perfect stay! The room was tastefully decorated with air conditioning. The impeccable cleanliness and kindness of the owner made everything even more pleasant. The shared kitchen is very well equipped and always clean, we used it to make breakfast and for a quick dinner. The location is excellent with less than 10' you are in the city centre. Quiet and close to there are various bar services, supermarkets. The parking, free of charge, is a 5-minute walk away. Only one thing missing is the hairdryer. I repeat everything perfect. (Original) Soggiorno perfetto! Ripeto tutto perfetto.

(Translated by Google) A friend and I went there for a weekend, and the service was unbeatable. You might find other, slightly cheaper options in Nerja, but nothing with this quality. The service is top-notch, and everything is new and clean… it's a pleasure to stay there. They have a sort of rooftop terrace with chairs and armchairs, and the rooms look recently renovated… you really can't find a better choice. Really nice staff. Location wise.. perfect, you can park your car at the hotel, and a few blocks from it ( 5min walking) you have the beach. The room was nice and clean, working ac, beds were comfy. the bathroom big, hot water, hair dryer and plenty of space to hang your wet clothes ... The balcony was the best part. Awesome view of the town. The breakfast was delicious, everything fresh.. They also have a pool and a tanning area, lots of books (different languages) for you to relax
Valeria E — Google review
Would have given this a 5 star if they hadnt had the air con on timer. Every two hours need to click for another 2 hours and that spoilt my sleep as it would get hot and not be at a stable temp. The pillow was one long one which doesn't make sense. The ac hits directly on the face and that was very unpleasant. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities and a good balcony to chill on. All moveable furniture need the soft pad put on so when cleaning rooms it doesn't make a loud screeching noise which disturbs someone who wants to sleep in.
Dinesh ( — Google review
A good choice if you want to visit Nerja. Staff very kind and professional. The room was very spacious and whith a super cool "terraza". One of the cleanest hotels I ever visit. It is quite close to Burriana beach and 15 min walk to the center (it is a steep slope at the beginning).

This is my third vist to Hotel Nerja Princ and I would come back again. A very friendly family hotel with lovely clean rooms . Every morning there is a great breakfast laid out with so many choices . The swimming pool is a good size and there are a lot of sunbeds.

Amazing room, fabulous breakfast and very affordable. Location is perfect. Everything is an easy walk. Easy to find. Only big problem is our street facing room is very noisy. It's a small street but you hear everything (people, mopeds, dog barking and horse & carriage). A pool facing room would be a lot quieter I'm sure. Other small gripes would be that the WiFi is intermittent and there is no shower curtain so the bathroom gets soaked every time (even though it's definitely not a wet room). We have 5 more days of our stay and I'm sure I'll be just as happy then as I am now. Would definitely recommend.
