Food is very good and extremely filling, we could have easily gone with out starters. The male servers were very friendly but the lady at front of house has an air of arrogance about her which is unexplainable. Tried to make a reservation but told booked out for many days ahead, turned up on the night only to be seated. Witnessed others coming in to try make reservations for following days and immediately being told they were booked up. Either they are short staffed and trying to keep down the number of diners or else they base their decision on your appearance, what ever it was; it created a strange atmosphere. Would I return? Yes based on the quality of the food, but I wouldn’t rush when compared to the amount of extremely welcoming restaurants in Nerja.

Absolutely amazing experience all around. Went for my birthday dinner and the staff were absolutely fantastic. There were no seats left outside when reserving but they managed to get us one, we got a free aparatif of a delicious fish cake. The actual dinner was just fantastic. I got the duck and it was just an amazing mix of savoury from the duck with a sweeter sauce and sweet potato mash alongside. Drinks were cheep with a lot of varieties of wine to choose from. For dessert as well they came out with an icecream with a candle in it to celebrate. All the staff were just so lovely and really did their best to make it as fantastic of a night as possible. Not to mention the beautiful scenery and great opportunities for people watching. Could not recommend it more.

Lighting was austere. Service was sporadic but the male staff were friendly. Food was wonderful. Beef tetaki was amazing. We had an issue with flies/ bugs/ insects whatever you want to call them and unfortunately they staff didn't seem to care. Being from the UK , having to kill 23 bugs on my table during dinner, is an issue. Especially when no other tables seemed to be experiencing the same level of issues. Anyway, despite raising the issue 3 times, no resolution was sought and no one seemed to care.

Simply exceptional! The Service is 100/100; the ambiance of the restaurant is perfect, and most importantly, the food is possibly the nicest food we have ever experienced. My wife had a starter of scallops and a main of Turbot, both of which she loved. I had a starter of chicken, walnut and pear salad and main of fillet steak in teriyaki and black mushroom sauce. Both were stunning in taste and presentation. This is fine dining but at everyday prices. Amazing value for money. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Excellent food and service. Great sea views outside. Scallops were very nice. Sea bass & cod delicious. The caramelised fennel was divine. Vegetables cooked too hard for our liking, very crunchy. But maybe that’s personal preference? Brownie v nice, especially the praline ice cream. Complimentary cava at the end was a lovely touch.

We had the cod and the salmon and they didn’t disappoint. Super fresh ingredients and very tasty. Generous portions as well.

Fantastic restaurant. Great location. Great service. Super food. Sea bass was a generous portion. The mashed potato was highlight of the day for the kid. And the fillet was spot on. Every plate was clean.

Really good place. Basic seating, no frills service and great value paella gets my vote. It's not a posh place and it's not fine dining but it is decent tasty food at a good price and watching them cook the paellan for s an experience. Eat here

We stopped by this beach bar specifically to try the paella, as locals had recommended it as a popular spot for great paella. We were definitely not disappointed – the portions were generous, with both prawns and chicken. The atmosphere itself lacked a bit of coziness, but it’s understandable given the large number of guests and the goal of serving everyone as quickly as possible. It was interesting to watch the staff working so smoothly and as a team, with each person focused on their own tasks. I would definitely come back here again for the paella.

Beautiful place with amazing views. The staff were nice and friendly. The salmon and entrecote steak were nice but the 1kg steak in the bone was at first undercooked so it was taken back and cooked a little more but it was full of sinew and fat so we actually left more than we could eat and the only winner with that was the dog as we took the bone home for him.

Fresh Paella at the beach. The portions are big for what you pay. A plate of paella with chicken and shrimps is €10,- Wich it’s full of. The staff is friendly and you’re served quickly.

Loved seeing the huge paellas being made. Tasted very good too. A perfect place for lunch on a beach day.

A nice place to eat and drink for a couple or a big family. Service is OK, there's no waiting for food, they bring dishes as thought it's a pits top in F1;) Fish and multiple salads is tasty, paella also good. Plates are enormous! Great value for money!

We were tempted to try this restaurant because of the idea of paella being cooked over a fire, but don’t be fooled – avoid this place. The sangria was watered down, and the medium-sized juice was only 200ml. That wasn’t even the worst part. The paella itself was a huge disappointment – no vegetables at all, and the shrimp were undercooked. The décor was terrible – or rather, completely absent. Plastic chairs and tables just placed on sand, and the entire restaurant was extremely dark because of the covering they use. The atmosphere felt dirty and unpleasant. After receiving our drinks, we waited 30–40 minutes for food without being informed about the waiting time. In the meantime, another waiter took our condiments and gave them to a different table that arrived later but got their food earlier. Finally, when paying the bill (30.40 EUR), we gave 50.40 EUR. The bill was taken away without a word, and no change was returned. My husband had to chase the waiter to get the money back. Overall, a terrible experience. Definitely not recommended.

The menú del día is hard to beat. €12.50 for a huge amount of food: an appetizer, three curries, rice or naan, and a dessert. We tried the samosas and the onion bhaji as appetizers. Both are very generous portions (2 large samosas, 4 onion bhaji) and both were quite good. For the main, you choose two of the three curries. The two curries I ordered were alright: the shrimp madras, which was tasty, and the paneer tikka masala, which was far too sweet for my taste (but I like my Indian food savory and spicy, unlike the sweet version you often find in Spain). The 3rd curry (no choice) was a lentil soup which was mostly water and a large piece of zucchini. Nothing was spicy in the least, which was disappointing for me. By far the worst part was the “dessert”, which was just a bowl of semolina. It was flavorless and sat untouched. Unfortunately, the server brought it to the table without asking if we wanted it or telling us what it was. If we’d known it was going to be a bowl of semolina, we would’ve just passed on the dessert since we were both so full already from the appetizers and main course. Overall, it’s a cheap, decent place to eat a large quantity of food. But it’s far from the best Indian restaurant in the area.

when we arrived (without a booking during quite a busy period of 9-10pm) we were greeted with enthusiasm and accommodation. they easily seated our party of 6 and the service for us all throughout the night was impeccable. I would recommend this restaurant not only for the fantastic food but for the humorous staff and calming atmosphere. Additionally, at the end of my evening they graciously gifted us 6 free shots of limoncello. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here and would recommend to others 🩷

Brilliant change in taste when you get bored of tapas upon tapas, which we did. Super friendly staff and great food. If this restaurant was local to me I’d be using it on a regular basis.

Delicious! I highly recommend, all the dishes we had were really tasty, great flavours and each was unique. The nan bread and roti were fresh and very good. Great service, attentive but not rushed. Best curry in ages, thank you Mum!

Got to say that was one of the best Prawn Bhunas we have ever had. The sauce was so so good. Nothing to do with how hot all about the flavour. Garlic Chilli Chicken was also right up there. Again, great flavours, nice kick but comfortable. Great service, excellent staff. Beats all the ones in Leeds and Bradford. Controversial, I know 🙂

This was classic case of review traps, I went there looking at reviews and turnout to be a disaster 1. Samsosa , chiken pakora , were extremely oily ( fried dishes do hv oil but it was ozzing oil ) 2. Food colouring : the red colour used in food was artificial 3. They offer 12 euro thali which is great value for money but there has to be some quality in it. 4 jeera rice had so much jeera which can be used to make 6 serving of jeera rice Overall not a how u represent indian restaurant abroad.

Lovely restaurant with a good menu selection. Burger was very tasty and perfectly cooked - I chose medium so if you don’t like pink meat then go for well done. Minor criticism in that we weren’t asked if we would like water or bread with the meal. Would recommend a visit but advised to book as incredibly busy.

Ate here last year whilst on holiday in Nerja. Such a great experience. We still talk about how great the food was even now. We both had the steak and it's still the best steak we have ever had. If we find ourselves back in Nerja we will for sure be returning here. The atmosphere was great, the staff were lovely too. A great place for a dinner.

Superb food, perfect service and beautiful location. Been coming here yearly since 2018 - minus the 2 covid years - and the service and the food has never waned, just got better. Tagliatelle with wild boar ragu brings tears to my eyes. This year I'll be enjoying my 3rd visit in 2 weeks, on the night before I leave. Reservations a must!

We would highly recommend this excellent restaurant. really invented cuisine and the staff are so helpful and knowledgeable and the food is delightful. If you sit outside you can also gaze at the sea. We enjoyed it so much we went twice in a week. you will need to book, especially during high season.

In our holiday to Nerja, we visited this place two times, as we really enjoyed the food and the hospitality. We got there without reservation, and the waiters, each time figured it out how we can find some time to eat. This is with Italian specific, however you will enjoy each bite! Don’t miss it!

Unbelievable staff and the food is incredible, standards like this are very hard to get to let alone maintain. The beating heart for this restaurant is the kitchen with attention to detail on every plate you get. So pleased we discovered this restaurant, it’s an absolute gem.

It doesn't look much from the street, but the Reviews convinced me to try it and I was so glad I did - what an excellent Indian restaurant this is 👍 The restaurant looks small and pokey from the street, but it's actually really big, with a large outdoor seating area out the back. It has a very nice relaxed atmosphere 😎 Service is very good, friendly and efficient 👍 The Menu has a great selection of dishes, something for all tastes 👍 The food was delivered at a nice pace, not too short/long between Courses 👍 and what was delivered was EXCELLENT 😎 Usually when holidaying abroad, Indian Restaurants can be a bit of a hit-n-miss, usually delivering crappy food. Not here, their food was REALLY good 👍👍 The taste of the spices, the quality of the Meat, awesome Roti's - all of it was delicious 😎 (and they sell Bottled Cobra just like back in the UK 👍🤣) The Bill was also very reasonable 👍 If you fancy a nice Curry, you should definitely consider going here, you won't be disappointed 👍

We wanted to have some nice indian food while we spent our time in Nerja. We ended up going to this restaurant 2 nights in a row. When we ordered our drinks, they arrived accompanying a complementary starter dish, which was some kind of crispy condiment with different kinds of sauces. The sauces were very flavorful. There was a wide variety of dishes on the menu, so we decided on having different dishes on each day. Both meals we had were delicious. Also I would like to point out that the service was quick, even though there were only two people serving the terrace. Nothing but respect for the work they put in, serving the many people that visit this restaurant every day. When we asked for the bill, we received a shot of liqour on the house of our choice. Definitely visit this restaurant if you like Indian food and like to be served with outstanding hospitality. I recommend their chicken vindaloo if you like your food spicy!

In the center of Nerja it is not easy to find restaurants that are not too touristic. How happy we were to find this nice restaurant on our way. The facade is not the most commercial one in the street, but the food is just fantastic. For lovers of Indian or Nepalese food we can certainly recommend this place. If you are not known with the menu, the very friendly staff will certainly help you with some suggestions. When back in Nerja, we certainly will return to this restaurant. Also the prices are very reasonable !!

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC QUALITY! Quality and delicious food with the most attentive and knowledgeable staff I’ve ever seen. Throughly enjoyed my dinner here with my family and cannot recommend this spot more- a real hidden gem!

On a recent trip to Nerja I visited Namaste twice and could not recommend it enough. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. On both occasions we had around 10 people in our party and this was no problem. Our food came promptly and everything was incredible, some of the best Indian/Nepalese food I’ve ever had. Our evening was even topped off with free limoncello shots. Reasonably priced, great food and incredible service!

Dropped in for lunch after visiting the Nerja weekly market, attentive service & very tasty food, would recommend highly and are all ready thinking about when we will return🤗

One of my favorite treats in Nerja is Good Stuff Café for a late breakfast or early lunch. The fresh food and wonderful hot drinks are beyond delicious. The propieters and staff deliver warm, fun and friendly service. I had the amazing salmon quiche today with the trio of salads. The coleslaw is the best I’ve had. If there was a café like the “CHEERS” bar, this would be it.

The best place to start your day, with only good stuff. Good food, good atmosphere, good prices, good taken care of with personality in service, taste & interior. This cafe is absolutely fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. The coleslaw was the best I’ve ever had. It’s a bit off the beaten track but it’s well worth !!

A great little spot . We had been recommended here by friends who are regular visitors when visiting Nerja . We only went for coffee and cake on the way back from a morning trip to Frigliana where we had eaten already Having seen all the food being served to other diners I wish I had waited and eaten here instead as it all looked amazing . I was too late for the highly recommended Raspberry Cheesecake but on the advice of the extremely friendly young waitress I opted for the Carrot cake which along with the coffee was superb . Great service , great value and great food .

Easily the best place I have eaten in for a very long time. The quality of the food is exceptional, staff are friendly. There's a little corner with plenty of toys for kids, so an easy spot to visit for parents. Coffee is amazing here. I struggle with finding food that I really enjoy abroad and this place is my new safe haven. 100% recommend

Cozy Irish café with amazing food (in big portions, too), friendly staff and a great selection of teas. I was here for breakfast and surprised by the quality of the breakfast muffins and scones - and the cakes, salads and burgers looked great. Bit sad I only discovered this place on my last day here!

Everything was perfect. Me and my partner went for breakfast. Really great food and it was lovely to see some tasty vegan options as well. Very friendly atmosphere from cooks to waiters. Highly recommend!

The starter was good, but the main course was really disappointing. The Argentine beef was tough and lacked flavor. I think they sliced it too early, because all the juices ended up pooling on the plate, almost like a soup. They should have let the meat rest longer.

Lively atmosphere, great food, and the excellent service made me have to give this place 5 stars! You’ll love it if you can find a table and even if it’s a long wait, go shopping around for a bit, because it’s so worth the wait:)

Outstanding food in Nerja. Best meal that we had in our 4 days here. Friendly staff, lots of great wine by the glass, cava sangria was amazing. Ravioli, beet salad, truffle penne, and beef lion were all perfection. Definitely a must for anyone visiting. We had a table for 5 and they were able to fit us inside around 8 pm on a Monday.

Amazing!! Delicious food and great ambiance. So nice to meet Michael and the rest of the very friendly staff. Would recommend everything we ate. The oxtail, the cod, the beet salad and the ravioli were to die for. So perfect. We were recommended a perfect wine to pair with it all and was so happy. Will definitely return!

First visit to this great little.wine bar/bistro in Nerja. Small but excellent menu with superbly coaoked food. Great staff and intersting wine list within wide price range.

We visited twice. In the first day the water was very calm and the beach had pebbles - 2 days later the beach was sandy and the water cold and “angry”. The entrance in the water is pretty deep. At every 2 steps the difference is more than 50cm depth. After 2 meters I wasn’t touching the bottom anymore. The color is wonderful, a very clean turquoise. If you want sun-beds you have to come early and you still might have low chances because people do reservations in advance. But there is room on the beach for towels and own umbrella if you are inspired enough to bring one.

The beach is set in a stunning natural landscape, with soft sand and a very welcoming atmosphere. There is free parking available right next to the beach, though it’s best to arrive early as spaces fill up quickly. On-site, you’ll find public restrooms and free water stations, which is a great convenience. There are also plenty of options nearby to grab a meal or enjoy a refreshing drink. For those looking for activities, you can rent a kayak or simply relax under a parasol with sunbeds. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot and definitely a place worth returning to.

Very nice beach, lots of people and umbrellas, but everyone can find a place. Lots of parking but very hard to find a free spot, but with pacience it can be done. The entrace in the sea water is kind of rough, water gets over your dead pretty fast from the shore. Lots of restaurants and shopping store near the beach.

Fine gravel beach, that has public toilets close by. Nice clean beach and clear sea, good for snorkeling. Promenade is lined with shops, Bars & Restaurants

We arrived here at the beach around 1 PM and none of the beach clubs had any places left as they were already full and we couldn’t rent any sunbeds or umbrellas, so instead of leaving this beach, we decided to buy beach chairs and a umbrella from a store nearby which costed us around hundred euros for two people, but this allowed us to pick a spot that we would prefer a bit further from people. The water is very cold I would say but the beach is well organized with showers and many bars or restaurants around it so you could really enjoy your beach day but maybe if you’re really into swimming not really the best place to be.

Lively and buzzing family beach. Great reasonably priced restaurants. Clean and free toilets. Definitely recommend the kayaking, which is great fun. Pedalos are great fun too…as long as a sudden squall does not appear. One of my favourite European family beaches.

Absolutely lovely beach. Nice shops and restaurants. Crushed stone like sand but beautiful crystal clear water when calm.

Great recommendation by our local Spanish friend. We really enjoyed our lunch here. They did clever amuse-bouche bites. Make sure you get their crunch shrimp starter! The 2 seafood dishes (both fish) were the single 2 best prepared filets I’ve had in a very long time. We were most pleased with this formal lunch. Oh - and the olive butter is to die for.

Best restaurant in Nerja by a mile! I had two wonderful lunches there once trying the tasting menu (go with this) and normal menu (also food but not the best value) my server I think was from S Africa or Oz was awesome ! Super knowledgeable and kind, the food was wonderful each bite bursting with flavor and creativity. Hats off to the chef for using their skills with all ingredients available to them. The world needs more restaurants like this one! If you’re within at least an hour drive you must come here! Don’t be scared by it being city center (parking wise) there is an under ground park place as it’s next to a museum! 7 stars

We had lunch here and it was 11/10! The steak with foie gras and truffle was delicious, and the coulant de turrón dessert was the perfect finish. Great food, atmosphere and professional staff - totally worth it! 🍷

Fine dining isn’t something you may consider when in Nerja for some winter sun. It’s probably a toss up between Sollun and Oliva for the town’s best tasting menu style meal, and as Sollun was closed for holidays we punted for Oliva. We went for the €65 tasting menu and the €25 wine pairing (yes that’s €25 for 6 glasses of wine). The food was amazing, pretty surprisingly so. We were given 3 appetisers, a palate cleansing sorbet between plates of fish and meat, and finished with a brilliant dessert. The service was amazing, too, professional without being snobby and really took their time to explain each dish and wine. And the wine, it’s all interesting Spanish wine much of which we hadn’t heard of before, and was paired brilliantly. It’s not a cheap meal but amazing value for money for a special occasion.

For me an average pizza. It wasn't busy,but they still managed to get our order wrong. The staff are young and I don't think they understand service fully as for example the server was stood by us and didn't notice we had empty glasses,so needed a prompt after several minutes. More work needed for me in service and attention to detail.Notice the prawns aren't de vained either, never good.

We ate here last year whilst on holiday in Nerja. The food we found was absolutely delicious, the service however. We made a reservation and inquired as we walked past whether we could come and dine earlier as we were hungry. They told us that the wait would be long as they only had one chef, this was at 7pm. We went inside earlier anyway. The staff were quite rude, they didn't seem to care about their customers. They rushed us, had bad attitudes and it felt like they didn't want to be there. The food was great and it didn't take too long for our food to come out. Not sure if I'd eat here again.

I felt compelled to leave a review as I was genuinely baffled by the high rating on here. I was even more confused by the huge queue waiting outside as I left the restaurant. The service is incredibly unwelcoming. The waiting staff look miserable and uninterested, likely a result of the rude owner. Menus are thrown at you and grabbed back off you just as quickly. We were never asked if we wanted refills for our drinks and the waiters quickly dumped plates on the table and left without any grace. The general vibe was that they were ready for us to leave not long after we had just sat down. The food is nothing special. My Ravioli was slopped up and spewed out onto a plate, looking as appetising as my dog's regurgitations after getting into the cat's litter box. The taste was bland but edible, however the presentation was completely careless. (This is one of their recommended dishes mind you). I was given a fork but a spoon or perhaps even a straw would have been a better utensil for this meal. My girlfriend ordered the shrimp risotto which looked better but again tasted 'meh'. As mentioned in another review, the shrimp hadn't been deveined which surprised me. Even after living in South East Asia for 2 years I hadn't been served prawns full of faeces before. Overall, I can't recommend this place at all. Admittedly, the interior decoration is very unique, but given that I'm not a child or a blithering Disney adult, it wasn't enough to salvage a dire evening at this restaurant.

Stopped at 3pm and it was still open for lunch, had some nice and fresh food and price was reasonable for the portion served. 50 euro for two with drinks, mains and starter. It was very quiet in the garden at the back but I can imagine getting very busy in the evening.

I went here last night with a group of five friends and I had an awful experience. We were sat for over 20minutes before we were able to order despite politely asking to on several occasions. I understand that kitchens get busy etc but there was no explanation given for the delay. The staff were not friendly and the food was poor. I would not recommend going here.

We went early afternoon for a quick bite before a flight. We sat in the lovely outside area, the food was lovely & fresh and was out very quick. Would recommend for a meal.

Man, this place has a long way to go to live up to what it was with the previous owner. We always go to Mo's when we come to Nerja but we won't be rushing back next time. Our kids were served raw chicken and to be honest our own food wasn't great. Some things were nice but certain things weren't. For example the tropical salad doesn't even compare to what it was before. Currently its way overpriced for the quality of what you get......sorry folks, but a big disappointment from a long term customer.

Myself, husband and two children (13 &8) had the most beautiful meal here ! We ordered a selection of dishes to share each one we were equally impressed with ranging from black pudding and apple, musssles , prawns and duck ( plus some others). The food was exceptional alongside the service !! Honestly and must when visiting nerja ♥️

Disappointed disappointing. Small plates we had were pretty low quality. The mini spice burgers were awful. Absolutely mush / paste with no spice about them and only 1 tiny bread bun between 3 pates. The spicy prawns were overcooked and the padron peppers were also poor, overcooked as was the egg. Service was pleasant and they took the burgers off the bill. To top it off they were unable to take card payment which they did not disclose until asking for the bill . Ironically the best thing about the experience was the free avocado and prawn taster. We hoped for so much better.

Gorgeous food, great service, food prices. Duck breast with berry sauce was amazing. Lots of choice on the menu and good advice on how much to order etc. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in a nearby hotel and numerous guests told us we absolutely had to try Mo's. Well, what can I say, what an amazing experience - really intimate restaurant, lots of selection on the menu, great recommendations provided to us as well as a complimentary dish. Everything was so fresh and tasty and the wine was to die for. Highly recommend a visit here.

If you’re looking for traditional Spanish fair… this is not the place. However, if you want something delicious, quirky, and modern- this is the perfect spot! I loved eating here, it was so welcoming and fun, the food seemed high end, well prepared and had culinary style. I didn’t catch the name of the waiter but he was super helpful and kind- made the whole experience better (which is saying a lot because the duck speaks volumes) All in all, make a reservation or wander in, you won’t regret it.

We were really impressed and very happy with our meal. We went for the menu called Sensation (58 euro per person) which included one hors d’oevre, two appetisers, three starters a choice between two mains and two desserts and also our drinks (water, wine and coffee/tea! All really delicious and definitely value for money.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner, with outstanding food and service. It was one of the best meals I have ever had! Desert was an apple filo pie with cinnamon ice cream which was sublime- sadly no photo of this. Prices are higher than a standard restaurant but it was worth every cent. We had a cocktail each plus a bottle of wine to share.

Always book here when in Nerja, amazing food, staff and experience. Perfect

Every single dish was delifull!!! The “Pastel de Pato with passion fruits” (was a courtesy of the restaurant) and the “Creamy Rice with Marine Plancton, Scallops and Carabinero Prawns” are a must! But everything else was just delicious as well! 👌🏼

Upmarket steak and fish restaurant with a great range of wines. Really happy to recommend. Accommodating to children, the chef put a lovely little burger for my little one together. Great for lunch or evening meal. Well serviced by very knowledgeable staff and great decor.

Great find in Nerja. We had a light lunch outside. Food was really great, especially the "crispy duck" and the cherry soup!

We had a really nice Christmas dinner at Sollun. We picked the 5 course set menu "sol" with wine pairing. Nice atmosphere, good service. Food was very good, but not mind-blowing. Good price/quality though! Favorite course was the deer, paired with a cab sav from the North of Spain.

What an absolutely amazing restaurant, an absolutely must visit for all foodies whilst in Nerja. The atmosphere is great, very friendly staff and a beautiful venue. The food... WOW! Every course was a masterpiece, and to see the chef and his pure love for food made it a fantastic experience. Gracias desde el fondo de mi corazón.

My sister booked a table for us at Sollun. It was our first time there. The staff were super nice and friendly, they’re good with kids too. We looked through the menu and our waiter was more than helpful suggesting dishes and explaining everything. First the amuse-bouche was cream cheese cones with mackerel and crispy onion. The presentation as well as the taste were amazing. Later for our appetizers, we ordered beef tartare and scallops. They divided it into four portions for us (we were four). My sister ordered the pigeon in orange glaze something and she absolutely loved it. As for me and her kids, we all ordered the steak. Again the kids shared a dish, but the chef prepared it seoerately as of it was a single order, cutting the steak in half with all the garnish and sides. My steak was cooked to perfection! The chefs comes in with the staff to hand the dishes himself and to give mini explanations. For dessert we ordered the Lemon meringue dish, which is similar to deconstructed lemon pie, and the passion fruit one! Both were amazing, specially the passion fruit one! Definitely recommending it to friends and hopefully will be back there soon on my next trips to Nerja

Overall, food was excellent but the service let it down. I read a previous review straight after dining and it was if the reviewer had dined with us - it described our experience exactly. Food wise, the Iberian pork was exquisite. Wine pairings explained and complemented food perfectly. Issue was service, although I suspect it was due to getting all the tables that arrived at different times on to the same service cycles. Unfortunately this meant we had to wait 1 hour before we were served the first course (after bread) and first wine pairing. It's a shame - should be an overall 5 star experience!

Very average experience. Perhaps the bar had been set too high following an exceptional meal the previous night at Restaurant Oliva but it got off to a disappointing start. As another reviewer below also experienced, the female waitress has absolutely no people skills and gives off the vibe that she doesn’t want to be there. The sommelier on the other hand has so much passion and knowledge and selects very interesting wines. We sat for a good 5 minutes without a menu, it’s basic service that a menu is the first thing you give someone as soon as they sit down, even though we knew we wanted the tasting menu. It all felt too slow to begin with that left a bitter taste in my mouth for the rest of the night. It took 30 minutes before we seen the ‘snack’, thankfully food came a little quicker after that! The pork cheek was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the dessert, starters were also good but the fish course was very bland. Overall the food was good not great and certainly not a patch on our previous nights experience. Lastly I felt the restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere, I can’t put my finger on exactly what it was. Maybe I would return in the future to give it a second chance but I won’t be rushing back sadly.

I'd give the food six stars if I could, it was that good. If you want to treat yourself in Nerja, this is the place I'd recommend. We tried a few of other higher end places to break up the tapas meals, but this was by far the best food and drink options.

This restaurant is exceptional. The taster menu was excellent as was the wine pairing under the wise selection of the amazing super Mario. His knowledge of Spanish wines and ability to pair them with delicious food is a masterclass for others to aspire to. The evening was superb and significantly enriched by Mario’s encyclopaedic knowledge and highly articulate descriptions. Best in Nerja ! PS you must try their superb limited edition Brandy, great value and amongst the best available.

The most beautiful cafe in nerja...and perhaps my life! 😁...an oasis of calm in their gorgeous, homely garden - with happy plants, birds and a little water feature - as well as several cozy indoor spaces. Lovely service every visit, fresh and homemade food/drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere created. I wish it was close to my home! We absolutely loved this place for it's great coffee and chai and a great selection of breakfasts. We had fruit bowls and yoghurt, and pancakes with fruit. The chai was the best! Great service, relaxing garden area vibe. Would highly recommend.

This place was amazing - beautiful little patio outside and some of the best food we had in Nerja. We got the verde sandwich and the goat cheese salad plus some tea to share, and everything was delicious and affordable. Everyone working there was really friendly, as well. Overall great atmosphere. Just be aware it is cash only!

Popped in for a coffee, juice and cake. Service is SLOW- so be prepared. Ordered 2 cakes and only 1 arrived which was tasty. However Nothing was served at the same time and took an hour from time we arrived to when the 1st cake arrived. By the time my oh has polished off his cake mine has still not arrived so we paid our bill (had to chase waitress down) and left. Food was tasty but service was painfully slow. Other people left as well due to this.

Amazing! Kind workers, affordable and amazing food. The place is so pretty and my friends and I absolutely loved it. Good vegan/vegetarian options as well. I got the sandwich but I recommend getting a baguette, more filling and cheap, around €4. I also got a strawberry and banana smoothie, so yum!

Absolutely the best spot in Nerja. If you are looking for a quick sandwich with beer/coffee this is your place!! Very magical atmosphere and welcoming staff. Only disadvantage is that you can only pay in cash.

Despite the recent bad reviews, we thought we would give them a try! We've walked past the last few days and saw how good everyones food looked! The food was lovely! My partner had the pork skewers and i had the beef tenderloin! Very nice indeed! The wait wasn't bad either! The waiter was lovely. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and the food! A bit pricey but not as pricey as it would have been in the UK! 😋 and sometimes the price to pay is worht it!

Food was quite bad, ribs were a very bad cut… extremely fatty and tough. Honestly I’d avoid restaurant next door much nicer. Staff are kind though so that’s why it’s 3 stars.

The best pealla in my mind ! I have tasted a lot of pealla around Spain but most of them are too salty. Not this one. The prawn is also good.

Took the fried fish and got no carbs and fried fish scales with bones with a few tasteless fried fish bits that tasted like nothing. No kids menu either. The pizza was bland and tasteless aswell. Probably the worst food i've ever eaten.

The restaurant was absolutely amazing!!! I really recommend people to come here for food. The chicken breast inside the meet plate was really tender. I highly recommend this. The owner was really friendly. We ordered the octopus with French fries but the owner gives us stewed potato. The owner gives us a plate of fries for free.

Waiters were friendly, not pushy. The food was great, we had the chicken and chorizo paella with garlic bread and a couple of beers. Can’t complain at all. Reasonably busy there so they must be doing something right 😎

Absolutely amazing! We went for a Paella and wanted one but adding extra on and it was not a problem from the staff. They were very accommodating and kept checking if we wanted anything else. The young English waiter was very patient and incredibly good at his job! Thank you so much. Also the food was incredible, very fresh and not sparse on the meat!

Excellent food. The service was friendly, fast, and attentive. The mixed fried seafood plate tasted so good. The best pil pil shrimp we had in the city. The pork secreto was tender and very flavorful. The melon was sweet and the ham was quality. I can not stress enough how friendly the service was. They make you feel at home, which is what a restaurant is all about.

Absolutely the best restaurant in town! We went there on the first day and kept coming back for dinner until the end of our stay. Fantastic service, such an atmosphere that you feel like you are staying with friends who serve you the best they have. The food was delicious. I had read some good reviews so we walked across town to try this restaurant. We ordered two drinks which arrived pretty quickly but we weren't sure whether we should expect some tapas. Two people near us ordered drinks and also got tapas. We waited about 15 minutes with no tapas so I went to the bar and was told I could choose two tapas. I chose a couple and then we waited some more. After another ten minutes I returned to the bar and finally the tapas was delivered to our table. It was warm in places. We were going to order some food but we decided to pay the bill and left.

It very nice food, the atmosphere was really good,relaxing and there was a shade so there was no sun was shining at us. They also let us seat here to eat, although there was reserve seats. They also took a while at serving us. Overall, I think it is a good place to eat.

We just love this place. We have been in Nerja, 3 weeks this time and have eaten here more than any other restaurant. Superb fresh fish of the day. Nothing is too much trouble Always happy to help. On family holiday, Miguel sat 11 of us with no reservation and provided the most amazing service we experienced in Nerja. Very accommodating to our children and the entire staff was lovely. The food was an absolute 11/10 from fresh bread, to appetizers and the chicken skewers were amazing. Highly recommend! Thank you Miguel!

Such a festive place. Lots of groups of locals here. Sometimes live music. You do worry the first time coming here, but yes there is a restaurant behind the boat yard. The owner is bbq -ing all the lovely fish they have to offer and he is apparently the master of the pallella. Service is friendly but could be a little faster

When you are in Nerja definitely visit this restaurant. It is so nice and quiet, outside the touristic area. The food is beautiful. The first night we went there the waiter/owner told us we had ordered too much! And he was right, even after cutting down on our meal we still were not able to finish it. The food is lovely home cooked(to perfection) food. We went there twice and both times we had a wonderful meal. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend the octopus and pork knuckle (slow cooked for 18 hrs, juicy tender meat that falls of the bone)

We visited this restaurant after seeing its impressive 4.9 rating on Google and were excited to try it, especially since it was participating in the Ruta de Tapas. We had already enjoyed two wonderful local experiences at other restaurants on the route and were looking forward to another. Unfortunately, this visit fell well below expectations. At first, the waiter was welcoming and friendly, but as soon as we mentioned we were there for the tapas, his attitude noticeably changed—he became cold and distant, which left us feeling quite unwelcome. We ordered the cheese platter, expecting a selection of Spanish cheeses, but were disappointed to receive four cheeses, two of which were clearly the same, just sliced differently. The quality didn’t match the price point, especially considering how reasonably priced and generous other restaurants in the area have been. What left the worst impression, however, was the unpleasant treatment we received when asking for the bill. Despite remaining polite and friendly throughout, the woman who served us at the end was curt and dismissive, which really dampened the experience. We came hoping for a warm, local atmosphere and were left feeling quite disheartened. Sadly, this did not reflect the 4.9-star experience we had hoped for.

Very good food in general, the salad with fruits is amazing, and the veal carpaccio. The only surprise is they only accept cash.

Just walked in without booking which was not a problem given it was off-season and slightly rainy. Lovely little coast side venue with comfortably spaced seating; there wasn’t really anything to set it apart ...except the food was truly excellent! The Sangria is the best I’ve ever tasted and the meal was well proportioned. We were served promptly and politely and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Recommended.

Had googled 'best paella' and this popped up. We weren't that impressed and found better at Playa Burriana the next day. On the plus side it did have lots of seafood in so I suppose it is a matter of taste.

Been going to Maria Bonita's since 2011, (used to be my favourite place to eat and I recommended it to everyone going to Nerja, not now) so sad to see how it has gone down. Menu has been cut beyond belief. In the meats, there is nothing I now like. Gone are the many delicious pieces of fruit that used to come with your main (now only a couple, if you are lucky and order the right thing) that worked so well with your meal. (Sangria is still good) Gone is Angie's happy, personal greeting. Gone is the door so you sit with a very cold draught on your legs, whilst eating, very uncomfortable. Disappointed in so many ways, so sad. Another good restaurant ruined. Food is now as mediocre as the other restaurants in that row. People used to take photos of the food as it came out. certainly, what we had, and there were 3 different dishes, you wouldn't think of taking photos. Sad, I am now on the lookout for another restaurant.

This is a great place to pick up some fresh bread in the morning. The pastries are also very delicious.

Fantastic service but the food really let us down. My wife had a great goats cheese soufflé but my starter was poor. We both had the steak tartare which was vinegary and sweet... Like a posh, expensive Macdonald's. Expected better.
