The Dead Dog Saloon is a popular waterfront tavern known for its live music, outdoor seating, and delicious bar food and seafood favorites. After being rebuilt following a fire in 2012, it has become a go-to spot on the Marsh Walk. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes from simple fare like burgers and sandwiches to seafood and steak specialties.
I love love this place. Love all the cute dog photos and memorials. Very sweet idea. Food is always amazing! We come here every time we come to the beach, multiple times a year! The Cobb salad is huge and a nice surprise. I added blackened shrimp. Also, the hush puppies are delicious!

My favorite place at Murrells inlet. Where else can you go that family/kid friendly plus have a bar atmosphere, live bands, quick service. I mean this place runs like a well oiled machine. Ate here several times. Wait times can vary. We were told 35 minutes but got seated in just 10 minutes. Watched live music while we waited. It is loud but you can still talk. Every waiter/waitress is spot on. Great attitude. Food is great. I’ve tried just about everything. Pulled pork was a little dry to my liking but chopped brisket is very good. They do serve breakfast on early hours. Truly if you are in or near this place stop in 1,2, or 3 times. Worth it.
Paul M — Google review
Food and atmosphere were really great. Would recommend the brisket and burgers but truthfully all of our food was very good. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

I have no idea what went wrong here, but we had a very bad experience. Out of fairness, there was nothing wrong with the staff. The service, the cleanliness, and the attitude were all great. We even came early, ordered a beer, walked out on the pier, came back, sat down, and ordered two pounds of chilled peel-and-eat shrimp for $20. That is an outstanding value compared to where I live. When the shrimp arrived, my wife tried the first one and immediately said, "I can't eat these, they're mushy." I had eaten a couple myself, and while they were definitely mushy, I finished them all, being the glutton that I am. Could I have said something to the staff or sent them back to the kitchen? Absolutely. However, I didn't want to turn into one of those "quote-unquote" customers, and they just asked "need anything?"No, "How is the food?" (I know, nite picking) As far as I could tell, the shrimp had been frozen, thawed, and were simply not fresh. Then, halfway through the meal, my wife said she was going to order some hush puppies. She asked the waitress, who replied, "Oh, you get free hush puppies, I'll just go get 'em." It seemed like one misstep after another. Would I go back? I'm not sure, especially since there are so many other locations right next door. The reason for the negative review is that your business is advertised primarily as a **seafood** restaurant. This means there should be only good-quality food coming out of the kitchen at all times. If it were strictly a bar that served food, I might almost expect a quality issue.
Ken B — Google review
Great atmosphere and food. We ordered the Smokey pig burger which was cooked perfectly. We also got the 2 meat combo meal which was great as well. The complementary hush puppies are also SO good!
JW — Google review
This place is awesome! Lots of parking and a fun oversized beach chair for pictures out front. Our server was friendly and the food was fast and delicious! I'd definitely go there again!!
Gregory R — Google review
Great food and portions. Quick service. Paul Grimshaw Band did not disappoint. We can only come once a year when we visit from Ontario but always come back.
Linda G — Google review
Hush puppies were the star of the show. Cajun shrimp alfredo was delicious, and I really enjoyed the Cuban. Nachos were good, too. The chips were very light and had a nice flavor. I was a little disappointed in my cocktail. I really couldn't taste the alcohol in it. It really just tasted like juice with some gingerale.

Drunken Jack's Restaurant & Lounge is a lively seafood grill and bar with a pirate-themed ambiance and a patio offering picturesque views. The restaurant boasts nautical decor and serves hand-selected fresh seafood by Chef Casey Blake. Guests can enjoy panoramic water and marsh island views from the patio while sipping on tropical drinks. The menu includes fried seafood platters featuring scallops, shrimp, triggerfish, flounder, and oysters served with hush puppies and whipped honey butter.
We had an incredible dining experience at Drunken Jack’s! The salmon was absolutely phenomenal — it literally melted in my mouth. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The hush puppies were amazing as well, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We also tried one of their dinner specials, which did not disappoint — everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. There was live guitar music during our visit, which added a really nice touch to the atmosphere without being too loud. The restaurant offers plenty of seating, including an upstairs area, indoor seating, and a spacious outdoor patio. It’s very family-friendly, which made it a great choice for dining with our child. For two adults and one child, including appetizers, our total bill was under $115 — a great value considering the quality of the food and service. Highly recommend Drunken Jack’s if you're looking for delicious seafood, a relaxing vibe, and a family-friendly environment.

We were told Marsh Walk was the place to go for a good time so we ventured down there for a nice meal. We waited about 30 minutes out of our 1 hour expected wait without a reservation on a Friday night. We got to walk the marsh while waiting. I expected more but it was simply a walk on a boardwalk. Our server was Danielle. I ordered the Drunken Jacks Sampler and the Casey Risotto. The Sampler was a bit heavy for an appetizer. The Risotto was pretty good. It had blackened fish and scallops. The scallops were incredible. The complimentary Hushpuppies here were much heavier than previous locations. I was able to eat about 6-8 and started to feel full.

If your anywhere near Murrells Inlet, SC. You MUST stop at Drunken Jacks. This restaurant is awesome. Been here twice and cannot say enough about how great the food is, the service and the view of the inlet. The hush puppies are the best! For those of you that are gluten free, there are many options.

I0 out of 10, would recommend! After coming to this area my whole life, we finally decided to try Drunken Jacks. The outside has always thrown me off, but the inside is classy, and elegant, beautiful. The food was perfectly cooked! Very light and fresh tasting. Awesome view of the Inlet and fun to watch boats and wildlife soaking in the day. Great service from Mandy, and tasty cocktails. Inside bar area looks super cozy and a nice place to watch a storm roll in. We have a new fav and will definitely be back, making this a permanent part of our rotation! Made new friends also, which was fun!
Amy R — Google review
Drunken Jack's exudes the perfect atmosphere with a hometown comfort and vacation vibe, accommodating everyone from young groups to families without hindering the experience of either. The service was impeccable, and each server was more than accommodating and perfectly amiable. The food is practically indescribable... THAT good! There is something for even the pickiest eaters, but the menu definitely targets seafood lovers, to which I recommend trying this absolute dream of a destination. The only problem with this sublime restaurant is that everyone else also knows that it's amazing, so there may be a minor wait for a table. But I promise, it's worth it ;)

Had such a delicious meal here got the baked stuffed sole I will say their veggies have way too much salt but I powered through as we were very hungry after driving , husband and I came to myrtle beach a few weeks ago for our honeymoon from Cincinnati, OH and Drunken Jack's was amazing service, beyond delicious food and such a fun memorable vibe!! We will definitely visit this place again our next trip down!!

Everytime my wife and I go to Myrtle Beach,SC we go to Drunken Jack's for a seafood dinner. My go to is the stuffed flounder and my wife loves the scallops. Our service was really good this time, from being seated,to being served. Our server was on top of taking care of us,from drink refills to checking often to see if everything was alright. The atmosphere is always pleasant and we are left feeling that the staff appreciated our choosing their restaurant for our dinner.

Express Watersports is a retail store in Myrtle Beach that offers water sports rentals for tourists. The store is popular with teenage boys, who have ablast on the banana boat with the tour guide, and adults, who enjoy jet skiing with Chase. The staff are very friendly and the location can't be beat - it's right near the heart of Myrtle Beach.
We went on the 1.5 hour sunset cruise ride and it was lovely. The crew, Rocco and Bailey, were super friendly, informative and helpful. The views were gorgeous and the music was a nice touch. We started at Murrell’s Inlet and then went out into the open ocean where we got to see a pod of dolphins. You have the option to choose from a rum punch, white wine or sodas. They also provide cheese, crackers, grapes and strawberries. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing sunset cruise.
Adriana L — Google review
Took the family out for the dolphin cruise and was not disappointed. It got a little discouraging as it was sunny when we left then went cloudy. But turned was the best showing of the year. We got to see the most dolphins of all the cruises in the season so far. It was a lot of fun. It was one of the better priced cruises and you will not be disappointed.

My son and I had a wonderful time! Everyone was friendly and professional. The views were amazing and I’d DEFINITELY recommend going. One of the best deals in the area.

FUN! Crew was lots of fun, super helpful, friendly and attentive. Felt like they were very safety oriented and went out of the way to make it a great experience. Delayed leaving a bit because of conditions, but I appreciated that they weren't just sending people out regardless of conditions. Was a great time and would definitely recommend.

Such a romantic lovely evening. Just wasn't a night for sunset but still such a great experience. Our Captain and hostess were absolutely amazing and can't wait to do it again next year. Good price for time we were out, cheese tray and unlimited alcohol.

I’ve lived in South Carolina for 30 years and I have spent 25 years living on the coast. It’s rare that my “family “ has the same day off, between 7 of us we work about 350 hours a week. Renting a boat for the afternoon was the best function we enjoyed all summer. This company is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, professional and affordable. I was so impressed by how quickly we were able to access a boat reservation and receive a quick response. We will be back and we have already referred vacationers that visit our establishments. Thank you! Express Watersports!!!

We had a wonderful time on our dolphin cruise. We saw lots of dolphins. We had a family with ages 3-86. The crew members were so nice and helpful and prices were very reasonable. We even purchased the family picture for about $10. We would definitely use this company again!

We did the banana boat ride. The staff were friendly and timely. We had an unexpected urgent care visit and they very generously allowed us to move our time back when I called. Will was our driver he tossed us a few times and took us for a fun ride. Kids loved this to kick off our vacation.

Wicked Tuna Grill, Sushi, Bar is a vibrant waterfront restaurant and bar that offers a diverse menu featuring creative seafood, sushi, and steaks in a relaxed and colorful setting. Situated at the Crazy Sister Marina on the south end of the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk, it provides an ideal spot to enjoy drinks while watching boats return from fishing trips.
My partner and I are on vacation and decided to venture away from myrtle beach and check this area out. Mind you it’s crazy since it’s bike week and so far today has been beautiful. Silly me paid $30 for parking out of confusion which isn’t the restaurants fault. The roof top outside dining was beautiful. Our server was so sweet and I wish I remembered her name. Our bloody Mary’s were so tasty. We got the dragon egg appetizer and omg was it delicious! My boyfriend got some risotto special with the catch of the day and I got the crab cake sandwich. They both were so tasty! We wish we would’ve found this place sooner vs on our last day vacationing. We will be coming back next time we’re in the area. Thank you for such a lovely dining experience. We unfortunately have had a lot of bad luck so far on our trip and yall made that up be being kind and providing great service with wonderful food and drinks!

Absolutely phenomenal experience! The valet parking employees were quite courteous, and our waitress named Chloe was so nice and well-informed about the dishes. Speaking of, I ordered the Wicked Tuna Roll, which was amazing! The price point was also decent for the area, and filling for sushi. Though we did not get dessert here, the evening options included strawberry shortcake, triple chocolate layer cake, and a Dulce De Leche cake. In other words, this restaurant is really good, and you should visit it!

Great location, great atmosphere, great service and spectacular food! Started with Shrimp Cocktail... large delicious shrimp! I had the special, which was fresh caught red snapper topped with shrimp, crab and scallops in a cream sauce with a balsamic drizzle, paired with pureed cauliflower and roasted veggies... wow! It was amazing! Husband had the ribeye with fried Mac & Cheese and veggies, delicious!! Also had a refreshing cocktail from the menu which was a blueberry basil lemonade. 100% would recommend! And we will return for sure:)

We came last year and my son hasnt stopped talking about it. So we returned this year again. Food was just as good. The atmosphere is awesome, views are great. Just an overall wonderful experience. My son got the lobster trio. I got a spicy margarita.

If you’re ever in the Murrells Inlet marsh walk area, you should definitely try Wicked Tuna! As a local, I have gone plenty of times with friends and family, and the food and atmosphere never disappoint. They offer fresh catch of the day, and their grilled salmon is my favorite. The last time I went with friends, we sat at the patio bar (lovely view) had two delicious espresso martinis, and we shared a dragon egg appetizer which was delicious! Highly recommend coming here for dinner and a nice view!

Great place for food and drinks. Also to gather with friends plenty of space. The band was awesome last night called Shore Thing Myrtle Beach . Sushi was great, dragon egg, mozzarella sticks and pork gyoza. Had a blast, nice scenery right on the ocean.

I ate there the night of 6/30/25. We have been coming to this restaurant every year for the last 5 years. This trip was by far the worst experience I have ever had. My order came out was very misleading to what was on the menu however, it was good. My husband food on the other hand was an atrocious & made very poor. My husband got the sushi and it fell apart and the portion size were not as it should be. I was unable to speak to the serve right away because he avoided our table like the plague. I believe it’s because I could be a challenging customer and did ask a lot of questions about their menu. He gave me the impression he did not want to deal with me. He didn’t return back to the table for at least 20 minutes after our food was served to us. At that time he did ask us how was everything and if we needed anything. By then my husband had ate most of his food because he was starving. When I was explaining to the server about the food, he seemed very uninterested in my complaints nor did you try to rectify it by any means. All he did was offered to remake the sushi, but at that point it was pointless. I did ask for a free dessert for compensation for the less than desirable portion sizes of the sushi and that was denied. The restaurant made no attempt or effort to satisfy my disappointment. I didn’t ask to speak to a manager because my husband didn’t want to make a big deal out of everything because he said the food was still OK and he ate most of it. So I let it be, but I’m writing this review to warn everybody DONT ORDER THE SUSHI at this place. It is not worth the money. See pictures below.
Jaime C — Google review
The r of us, our couple friend, my wife & I walked around the area & decided to dine there. We had grilled seafood platter, fish & chips, Maryland crab cakes with asparagus for substitution (original comes with Mac & cheese). Our friends had Winyah Bay Blueberry Wheat beer & red sangria. My wife & I shared the latter. They shared a single triple chocolate mousse cake. All dishes are great. The fish & chips are better than those I have had in London. It was a surprise. It's not a fair comparison as London mostly uses pollack & Wicked used the freshest catch of the day. This time around, they had groupers. I think groupers taste better than pollack or cods. Yes, this place you can visit as many times as you want as the fish will be different each time. The waiter, Grayson, is very knowledgeable about all the fish. He said to come back for hogwash, which is March or later in the summer.

The Claw House is a lively lobster house and raw bar located in Murrells Inlet, SC. Situated along the Murrells Inlet Boardwalk, it offers stunning water views and a large deck for guests to enjoy. The restaurant is known for serving fresh, local seafood including lobster, oysters, and shrimp cocktails.
Went for the first time to enjoy their happy hour appetizers and drinks. We had the mini crab balls, fried calamari and fried cod bites, a few oysters and some fries. We definitely were not disappointed. Everything was delicious, service was great, atmosphere m, prices were amazing and the view perfect. Best raw oysters I’ve had in a long time. Portions for happy hour appetizers were huge. We took food home. I’m only sad we haven’t come here before since we only live 5 minutes away. My wife and I do a date night once a week, at least. This will be our new go to place. Thank you.

It was an awful experience. They have 3 different charges they add to the bill and then include them in the recommended tipping % as well. So you are tipping on tax, tipping on county fee and tipping on the “destination fee”. The food was not good. This was the worst mussels we have had. The broth was bland to a point it was basically water. Everything on the skewers were overcooked, especially the steak. Was chewy and dry. The crab sandwich was dry too. The chowder bowl was the best thing but still not that good. Would not recommend the food and would also not recommend coming here due to all the charges.
H B — Google review
This seafood restaurant is pretty great, but the reason that it got a 4 is because some of the food isn’t the best, but most of the food is amazing though. First the parking looks very small, but if you happen to read the sign in the parking lot, you actually park for free across the street next to the neighbor restaurant. Inside the place is nice, huge aquarium with many numerous fish and sea life. And the food is mainly good, the appetizers aren’t great, but the food really shines in the main courses. We had a fish with some spices in it, which was pretty good, also had the crab cakes which was amazing, fish and chips, and a steak which was kinda bland. Overall this is a great restaurant, most of the food is amazing, some of it, is kinda ehhh, but definitely worth going here regardless.

Definitely sit outside. Beautiful coastal breeze comes straight off the water. Food was FANTASTIC! We did the all you can eat Crab Legs on a Monday. So worth the money! The staff were all very friendly and the view and atmosphere is great!

Very nice place to go eat if you are in the area visiting! We went around 4pm and were immediately sat down and did not have to wait very long on food for a table of 6! Our waitress was very nice and did a good job! Food was very good and nobody had any complaints. I personally got the Redfish and grits which was top notch, some of the best grits I've ate. They have a very large fish tank in the lobby filled with all sorts of saltwater fish for people of all ages to enjoy! Average price of seafood was $25-30 with sandwiches and other options around $16-20

Great spot for lunch when visiting the marsh walk. Our server, Ethan, was absolutely wonderful! He made our son feel like he'd made a new best friend! The food and atmosphere were also fantastic. We ordered lobster rolls and fish & chips....some of the best we've ever had.

Restaurant
Nestled along the picturesque Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, Bubba's Love Shak is a vibrant and rustic eatery that captures the essence of coastal dining. With its colorful decor and inviting patio, this lively spot serves up delicious fried seafood alongside classic American fare, all complemented by inventive cocktails. The atmosphere here is ultra-casual, making it perfect for unwinding after a long day or dancing the night away during their late-night parties.
What a surprise! We have been coming to the marshwalk area since I was a child, and I’m now almost 60. We have our favorites, and we tend to get into a groove. But, last week we were in Garden City Beach and it snowed! Not a little bit of snow. Actual New-England-type-snow. But, since we have lived in New England at some point in our lives, we knew how to drive in the white stuff. The problem was finding anything open. We were surprised and thrilled to see the Bubba‘s Love Shak red ‘open’ sign was lit! We were also surprised that when we entered, there was a roaring fire. I pulled up a chair next to the fire and never left. The server came and delivered our drinks and our food, and I just ate my shrimp on my lap. The final surprise was in the quality of the food. Wow! The house salad, which comes with a house dressing that is equal parts honey mustard and a hot bacon, was outstanding. It was really large, and when I poured both dressings on and mixed them together it was one of the best salads I have had in years! I ordered the fried shrimp special which came with the house salad and a side, and I chose the mashed potatoes. They were “OK” and were the only little bit of disappointment in the meal, because I’ve had more flavorful mashed potatoes. But the salad and the shrimp more than made up for it! Next time I’ll just choose a different side. My husband had a fish sandwich. He also found it flavorful and it was a nice-sized portion. And our server… Our server was attentive, funny, always looking to see if we needed another drink or anything else. I really wish I remember her name, as she was just delightful. Bottom line, we will be back! We have an entire list of places we go on the marshwalk, and this will now be at the top. Cannot wait to introduce our friends to this restaurant, because we have been basically stuck in a loop of going to the same ones year over year. The only other disappointment was that they had to close the bar, and I was craving one more wonderful rum punch next to the fireside, but it was getting slick outside, and I am just so thankful that they opened at all and allowed a few of the locals to come in and enjoy a respite from the snow and weather. Also, I had never seen the Marshwalk in the snow, so there are some photos attached here. It was lovely!

10/10 recommend Bubbas! The atmosphere is fantastic, the food was great, that band was awesome, and Ava our waitress was the best! She was so sweet and attentive even with it being a very busy Friday night.

Such a cute little spot, with some pretty views. It’s quite interesting, as they use the grill & menu from the restaurant next to em (currently J Peter’s Grill & Bar), but either way, it was a great experience, great food, & pretty views to help the mood.

Great view on the MarshWalk! Super cute little place. Kinda pricey - 1 coke & 2 mich ultra drafts was $14.50. Second round was half of that since it was happy hour! Didn’t eat, was just a quick stop, but the food looked great. Service was quick & the Bartender was nice.

We stopped here for lunch on a Friday and sat at the outside picnic tables because our dog was with us. The waitress was super friendly and even brought our dog a styrofoam container full of fresh water! The service was great, and the food was delicious. We ordered a J Peters salad (comes with a croissant that seemed to be drizzled with light honey, so good!), a grilled chicken sandwich with seasoned fries, and a fried grouper sandwich with fries. Everything was very good. Per the waitress, there are no longer goats on Goat Island. LOL Also, Bubba's and the J Peters restaurant next door are owned by the same people, so you get the J Peters' menu when you order. That really didn't matter though because the prices were reasonable, and the menu offered quite a few food choices.

It really is not much more than a shack on the Marshwalk. The kitchen is in J Peters and it is a part of that restaurant group. Food is always exceptional and the atmosphere is tough to beat. There's live music most everyday.

American restaurant
J Peters Grill & Bar - On the MarshWalk is an upscale-publike establishment that offers a wide range of American cuisine and cocktails. Their menu includes various options, from salads to prime rib, all served in a stylish setting. This restaurant stands out among others in the area due to its emphasis on fresh and locally-sourced seafood, which has been a tradition since its family ownership began in 1974.
It was very good. The grouper sandwich was HUGE and so tender and flaky. Just exquisite! The spicy shrimp app was so good and the salmon was wonderful. Next visit we will certainly come again.

The early bird menu is where it is at! You get a salad, croissant, and dinner - most items around $20! You'll be full and satisfied in no time. We got sat right away, but there was a decent wait for our food to come out. Baked potato was dry and although I saw a different plate with chives and greens on theirs, our group didn't get that element included. Staff were definitely busy, may have appreciated a bit more attention for a refill on our drinks.

My mother and I were in the mood for a great meal and needed to relax so we went to J Peter’s. Even though we ate inside you still have a great view of the water. The booth was comfortable and the food was fabulous! Our server was attentive and personable. We both got the grilled chicken with loaded mash and a side salad. The salad was so good and I loved everything they put on it, not to mention the croissant. The chicken was beyond moist, and heated up well as did the potatoes, because it was so much food we had to take most of it home.

Absolutely Incredible Experience! Six of us came in as first-timers, and you would’ve thought we had never been to a restaurant before. The food was phenomenal and at an amazing price. Every single dish we tried was a hit—the croissants, salads, POTATO SOUP, steaks, crab cakes, mashed potatoes, JALAPENO SHRIMP…all I can say is OH MY GOD. The service was top-tier. Everyone was kind, patient, and genuinely happy to guide us through the menu. We are coming back tomorrow night and bringing more friends and family. Highly, highly recommend!

The food was great and this location has an awesome atmosphere overlooking the inlet. The thing that stood out the most was the service. The manager, Sherrie (sp?), was extremely attentive and active throughout our dining experience. She was constantly checking on tables, carrying dishes, and doing everything she could to help employees while ensuring customers were taken care of. Once I finished my salad, I slid the plate to the edge of the table. Sherrie was walking by and literally grabbed the plate two seconds after I slid it over (never breaking her stride). It was nice to see a manager so engaged. Samuel also did a great job as our waiter. Our drinks, appetizer and main course came out quickly and hot. He checked on us several times and was very prompt with refilling our drinks or anything else we asked. Fantastic dining experience!

We went here for my son’s birthday, hoping to have a great meal. Oh, but tit was far from that. The tender steak they advertised was tough, no flavor. My son had steak and shrimp, he was sick all night afterwards. It was a terrible meal at a very high price. Sickness and the price of the food. The service was fine but they were not busy so I guess that was a given. I would not recommend this place at all. *****Update thanks to this restaurant my son was sick our entire trip. ********

Have now eaten at 3 different J. Peters in Myrtle Beach. The food and service were excellent at all of them. Prices are very reasonable which is important for families in today's world. First class restaurant for great prices! Everyone in our party was impressed with their food. I had the Shrimp & Flounder Platter.

We took a walk on the MarshWalk and took a chance on J. Peters. Best stop we made! We arrived shortly before the dinner crowd, and we timed it perfectly. The croissants were the bomb...so good we took 2 orders home! The ambiance, service, and food far exceeded our expectations! Will be our "Go Too" on our future trips!

Neptune Bistro & Raw Bar, formerly known as Mojo's, is a newcomer to the MarshWalk area. It offers an extensive raw bar and a diverse menu with a Mediterranean influence. The restaurant overlooks Crazy Sister Marina and the Murrells Inlet boat launch, providing beautiful outdoor and indoor dining spaces. Guests can enjoy fresh oysters, flatbreads for sharing, unique sandwiches, Southern favorites like blue crab grilled cheese with tomato bisque, and craft cocktails.
Food was great but the atmosphere and service were even better! Kayla was our server and she was phenomenal. So kind and made sure we had everything we needed. She was so sweet to our little ones. The DJ was playing great music. The pirate ship playground was a hit with our little ones along with the music and Kayla!

Great location right at the end of the marsh walk, but the service was all over the place. I’m not convinced the waiter was trained fully. Took forever to get anything, they forgot one of the dishes, and simple things like extra napkins or basic things like a crab cracker took a long time to arrive at the table. Shrimp tacos came with 1 shrimp in each! Crab pot was actually good. Really chock-full of crab and shrimp, and would want to be at almost $40. Not going back.
Seamus M — Google review
The views are gorgeous! Had a nice breeze off the water, sitting on the back porch, watching the kids play on the pirate ship playground! Shrimp pasta with sausage was amazing! Kids loved the pizza, tacos and chicken tenders! The waitress was very nice and checked in a lot. The cutlery and place settings are very pretty. The margaritas were very good too! Will definitely come back!

Before our trip, I had somehow found about Neptune Bistro & Raw Bar. I made reservations for happy hour on Friday to ensure we had a spot. Dad had Lemonade, Hubby had the Blueberry Mojito, and I had the Watermelon Mojito. We got the East Coast oysters (Mama Mia and Blue Point) at half off during happy hour and tried the Fish Ceviche. So fresh and sooo good! We shared the Cobb Salad and Fried Fish Sandwich. The fresh catch of the day is Mahi Mahi and it was cooked to perfection. I’m not really sure why this place had bad reviews. We had an excellent experience. I highly encourage visiting early. The parking lot was full by the time we left. This restaurant is at the one end of the Murrells Inlet boardwalk and a great place to walk and see the area.

We had so much fun for Sunday brunch! Our server Ben was the best and had a great personality and delivered amazing service! The presentation of the food was so pretty and well thought out they didn’t miss any details. The food and drinks were delicious we will definitely be back!

WOW! I can't say enough great things about this place. We came for lunch. The atmosphere feels more refined than the other local restaurants. We were seated outside under the covered patio which has a great view of the bay. I ordered the mushroom salad with no additional proteins and my wife ordered the margarita flat bread. Salad was amazing and very satisfying. The flatbread was one of the best pizzas I've seen outside of NY. I also want to give praise to our server Suzy. She was there for us even before we knew we needed her. The bar and cocktails are also a level up. This is a must for all foodies looking for a great new place. I will be back again and again until I try the whole menu. Here's an update. The place still has issues from reservations to servers or kitchen staff, if you listen to the whiny waiter. The selection is great but getting the starter course and the entrees at the same time diminishes the quality. I wish them luck but I won't be itching to go there anymore.

I am not usually writing Rey, but What a great place! I just had to… Amazing unique flavor in every dish! We ordered a variety of items and each was better than the other! Great quality, good atmosphere and awesome view. Service was wonderful. Really, I can go on and on about how great everything was, highly recommended.

I haven’t been there in forever. The outside seating area is absolutely great on sunny days. The service was more than excellent. Our waitress made a coffee especially for us, even though they don’t have coffee on the menu. We had the lobster risotto and the fish and chips. The risotto was super creamy and delicious! The fish and chips was good as well. I recommend this restaurant if you wanna hangout with a view of the Marshwalk and enjoy delicious food.

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Huntington Beach State Park. Not quite as popular as Brookgreen Gardens, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Nature & Parks

Huntington Beach State Park is a serene haven for nature enthusiasts, boasting a secluded beach and campground. Visitors can partake in tours of the Moorish-style mansion on-site. The park offers plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors, including walking along the jetty during low tide and biking through its scenic areas. After sundown, only resident campers are allowed on the beach, providing an exclusive experience for those who stay overnight. Families with children can enjoy educational activities at the nature center.
A great beach experience. They really cover all the needs of beach day. Outside showers for feet and for the body. They made a nice new cement walkway leading from the park area out to the sand (replaced the older wooden walkway). It's always been easy to find a spot that is not a far walk from the pathway. The waves are usually gentle enough that it's safe for small children to enjoy the shallow surf area. The bathrooms are the best beach bathrooms I've ever seen, very useful for kids who need to go to the bathroom at any time. Playground is well kept and fairly new. The ice cream place by the playground, Spoonbills, was shockingly well priced (I fully expected 2x what it was just for the "premium" of being on the beach) and very delicious. Several shelters are present near the playground and useful if a storm rolls by to have some shelter. Our only con experience is that a few times the parking lot is half or mostly reserved for special events/site rentals regardless of how many people are actually attending an event. Leading to half the lot being packed and half being fairly empty.

This place is so beautiful. The sites are gorgeous and the one we got was very private (125). It is a little pricey but it is worth it; the staff are so friendly, the sites are well maintained and flat . The beach was gorgeous; there is a double red flag for swimming due to the offshore hurricane but the views were really pretty and so were the waves. The sand is so soft and white. We will definitely be returning.
Caley W — Google review
There's an $8 per adult charge to enter and for a family of 4 ( 2 adults, a 1 year old and a 4 year old) it was $16, so not too bad. Very beautiful and well maintained place. The parking foe the beach access was very spacious. There's a large playground area near the beach access as well for the kids. A very nice clean beach here as well. We will probably use this area again in the future when we are in the area.

We stayed in our camper in the North campground for a week in August 2025. The campground was well maintained, with clean restrooms and showers. The camp store had a few RV supplies, lots of souvenirs, ice, firewood, and an ice cream chest. The paid public access area has its own ice cream shop called Spoonbill's and they serve Wholly Cow ice cream in healthy portions! It was delicious! We used beach access 6 from the north campground and it was really nice, with a wide concrete sidewalk and a really great rinse station for leaving the sand behind when you come back into the campground. The park rangers offer a lot of scheduled activities for the kids, and we also enjoyed a guided tour of Atalaya for $2/person (can't beat that!) All in all, I'd say this is a pretty great place to camp or day trip. Kudos to the rangers and store staff for being so awesome and accommodating!
Robert M — Google review
This is my favorite beach in SC. Love that it also has camping, nature trails and the path to see wild birds and alligators. Also has a great ice cream shop and a terrific gift shop. Oh, and I can't forget to recommend the tour of Atalaya's castle! So much to do here! Make sure you make time to relax on the beach!
T S — Google review
Beautiful beach area. Enjoyed the self guided tour of Atalaya. Friendly staff member working at the gift shop had some interesting historical information he shared with us. It would be nice to see photos of what it looked like while the Huntington's lived there, its sort of hard to imagine and looks rather institutional in its current state. Very interesting state park.

This was a cool place! The beach was clean and beautiful. The wildlife was beautiful! We saw alligators, spoonbills, herons and more. I look forward to returning.
Judi R — Google review
This is only a review of the north beach. In early August, I arrived around 13:00, and it was low tide. There was a wide stretch of sand. The water was warm. The weather was great. If you walk about a mile north, there is a jetty. The beach felt very clean because there were no kelp or shells strewn around. I didn't see many trash cans, but it seems like people here respect nature well. To enter the park, you pay admission per person. Adults are $8. There are plenty of parking lots around. At the north parking lot, there was a bathroom and water refill station. There was even a covered area with picnic tables. I wish I had more time here. They offer daily activities/tours. I would be interested to see and learn more about alligators!

Nestled in the picturesque Murrells Inlet, Brookgreen Gardens is a captivating blend of nature and artistry. Renowned as America's largest sculpture garden since its opening in 1931, this enchanting public space features not only stunning botanical displays but also an impressive array of outdoor sculptures and wildlife exhibits. Visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of meticulously curated gardens while enjoying a variety of live music events throughout the year, including summer concerts and festive gatherings like Brew at the Zoo.
Beautiful gardens with very helpful volunteers peppered through the gardens. The sculptures are both breathtaking and thought provoking. We had lunch at Harvest, and the selection was lovely and the food delicious. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Hands down one of our very favorite parts of our entire trip! We could have easily spent 3 days here. There is so much to see and admire. Had a few bug bites, so I would recommend bug spray before heading in, but all in all, amazing experience. There are plenty of benches to sit on and just soak up the peace of the grounds. Will definitely be returning!

We went during the week and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Spent two half days there. The pontoon boat ride was well worth it. Educational. I never knew wild rice smelled like buttered popcorn until that trip. It was quite appetizing. The animal habitats were enjoyable. Sorry we missed the butterfly exhibit that they said blew away during a storm earlier.

This place was magical! We came specifically to see the ‘Live Oak Allée’, but got much more than we anticipated! The giant oaks were absolutely amazing and the rest of the gardens were beautiful as well! The staff that we encountered on our walk were very friendly and knowledgeable! They were setting up all their Christmas lights while we were there, and it really made me want to fly back down just to see it, because it will be BREATHTAKING!

I have seen this place posted all over TikTok and I had to go. It was wonderful, super relaxing. The staff very attentive and ready to help and provide guidance to new visitors. Without thinking about the time we spent 3-4 hours enjoying the place and taking so many pictures. I love the fact that the ticket is valid for 6 consecutive days so makes what you pay totally worth it.

Beautiful gardens filled with sculptures. Can drive through most of the gardens. Some areas you will need to walk through. Comfortable, accessible pathways throughout the gardens. A few café spots for a quick bite. They are preparing the gardens for the winter holidays. The Iive oaks are magnificent!

Graham's Landing is a family-friendly spot located in Murrells Inlet, just outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It offers a casual dining experience with a menu featuring seafood, burgers, and pasta. The restaurant provides stunning views of Murrell's Inlet and Huntington Beach State Park at no extra charge. Visitors can enjoy dishes such as fried green tomato BLT, shrimp and grits, and smoked prime rib - all made from scratch.
We ordered 2 shrimp baskets, a shrimp boil, fried pickles and fried tomatoes. Everything was good and served hot. Service was a tad slow but they were super friendly so the slowness didn’t bother any of us. We went around 1:30 and we were seated right away. Would definitely go back. Not sure if reservations are needed for prime dining time. Cute atmosphere too.

This place was so amazingly good and I'm not even a seafood person so that should tell you something! And if you're not a seafood person like me, I highly recommend the Fried Green Tomato BLT. It was so yummy. The hubby had scallops, oysters and some buffalo shrimp which he enjoyed his as well. We will definitely be back! Also that pimento cheese is the best I've ever had. They could literally set up a shop to sell just that. There's also outdoor seating with some decent views. This pic is from the parking in the back.

9/22/25: “Croton-on-Hudson Rob” was the ideal server for bringing the friendly, laidback beach vibe along with our seafood baskets. We ordered the flounder basket (with zesty cocktail sauce) and scallops basket (with melted butter). We both loved their generous portion of crispy tater tots. The coleslaw was more vinegary than sweet (not my favorite). We enjoyed our meals on the back patio at low tide with a refreshing breeze. Lots of white egrets dotting the marsh. Good old easy-listening rock was our background music while we enjoyed our delicious first visit to Graham’s Landing. Ciao Roberto!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Laura & Marco Van (Cortlandt) Valkenburg, The Bluffs on the Waterway, Carolina Forest.

Our recent visit on June 3, 2025 was unfortunately marred by a noticeably inattentive service experienced. Despite the dining room having many empty tables on a Tuesday night, service was slow. It took about 10 minutes just to get water, and while a few associates acknowledged us in passing, they only said, “We’ll be with you,” without following through. The oysters were good, but when we requested horseradish, we were given a sauce with a mayo-like consistency that didn’t taste like true horseradish—more bland than bold, and not what we expected to pair with oysters. The She-Crab soup was rich and flavorful, with generous lumps of tender crab. The shrimp and grits had solid flavor, but the grits had an odd texture, more like rice than the creamy, smooth consistency the dish typically calls for. We also tried the coconut mango mojitos, which were underwhelming. They tasted mostly like club soda with a hint of basil—none of the bright, tropical flavors you'd expect. It felt more like a bland bar drink than something crafted with care. After we finished eating, it took 15 minutes just to get the check, and then an additional 20 minutes for our server to pick up and run the card—with an apology and an excuse for the delay. Overall, the lack of engagement from our server made it difficult to fully enjoy the evening. We will not be returning.

We had the fried mushrooms, grit cake, mozzarella bites, ahi tuna and the fried green tomatoes. All of them were fried perfectly and so delicious!! For dinner we had the combo fried flounder and scallops, Alfredo and chicken, cheese steak with pimento cheese, seafood combo platter, clams, and a flounder po boy. Hands down all perfectly seasoned and cooked! The breading is light on all the fried foods, and not bland, excellent! Service was knowledgeable and very pleasant! The views are spectacular!! This was a wonderful dinner!!

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. It was a 20 minutes drive. Worth every second. Our server, Jacob was one of the best servers I've ever had. We had crab stuffed flounder with Alfredo sauce. It was absolutely phenomenal. My wife had the scallops and shrimp basket. It was fantastic. As I'm literally sitting at the table in the middle of this review, Jacob brought over a bourbon pecan pound cake made by the owner's mother. This maybe the single greatest dining experience I've ever had. I would drive 4 hours to eat here again.

Scenic spot
The Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk is a charming waterfront boardwalk that meanders along an estuary, creating the perfect setting for a delightful evening out. This vibrant destination features a half-mile stretch connecting eleven unique eateries and bars, each offering its own flavor of Lowcountry cuisine. Since its inception in the late 1990s, community leaders envisioned this area as a lively restaurant hub where visitors could enjoy not only delicious food but also live music year-round.
Living in the area i tend to avoid the marsh walk during tourist season. We were lucky on a Saturday afternoon to find the area not busy. Probably due to thunderstorms coming in and out during the day. I love to walk along the marsh. I wish the walkway was longer. Relaxing just to take the sights in. If you are coming for music and drinks, this is your place. You can go from bar to bar and listen to all sorts of music. If you are not into motorcycles, check the calendar. Bike week 2x a year. The marsh wall area is extremely busy.

I kept seeing and hearing how amazing it was here, especially with the Wonderland of Lights at Christmas. I honestly see more lights driving around the streets of North Myrtle Beach. There’s a lot of restaurants but none looked very good. The smell coming from the marsh was unbearable, I can’t imagine how it would be in warm weather. It smelled like raw sewage/port a potties. The pictures I saw promoting the Christmas lights made it look like it would be similar to other holiday light walkthroughs I’ve done before. This just seemed like normal holiday decorations on the restaurants. There’s not anything to do here so I wouldn’t recommend it. My pictures actually make it look more appealing than it was in real life.

Love the vibe here. Food is decent at the restaurants I've tried (but I go for the atmosphere and view more than the food). Live music at almost every other restaurant. Pier to walk, and a nice walkway on the water side of a strip restaurants.

The Marsh Walk was a great little stop! There a several restaurants adjacent to the boardwalk. There are also jet ski and boat rentals in the small marina. The pier reaches out to a 180* view of the marsh. We went across the street and enjoyed a sundae at Twisters Soft Serve!

Crazy Sister Marina is a popular entertainment hub located at the southern end of the renowned marsh walk in Murrells Inlet. It offers a variety of activities including private fishing charters, public head boat trips, dolphin watching, parasailing, paddle board tours, and saltwater marsh cruises. Additionally, visitors can rent jet skis, boats, and kayaks to explore the area's waterways.
Been here in Myrtle Beach for almost three years and have talked about going on a gulfstream trip but never made it until my wife bought my son and I tickets for Father’s Day. I can’t believe what I was missing. Crazy Sisters crew were absolutely amazing. Alex, David, Brian, and Rodger were amazing and fun. They worked extremely hard to keep everyone in the water and fishing. Big kudos to Captain Robert for keeping us on the fish the entire trip. Non stop action. I have been on many head boat and was very impressed. This hands down was probably the best fishing I have ever experienced. I want to give a special thanks to Alex and David for guiding my son and landing a 5 foot barracuda. You were by his side the whole time he reeled it in. An experience of a lifetime for him. If you guys see this yes he did out fish me again. I will get him next time. Thanks again and we will see you soon.

First time fishing the ocean and I was losing my interest in fishing lakes and creeks maybe because of the gnatts or heat ... Being from Texas you'd figure I'd be accustomed to the blistering sun ....I am ... But not the wet heat not like here and gnats on top of it .... Anyways no gnats out their or mosquitoes only problem at all that me and the 7 guys from our company had was one guy trying to cut his way in the line we were waiting in over an hour ...by choice ... To pick our seats ... Then same guy got the captain in loved acting like I didn't sit in front of the pole I chose in front of the seats we all waited to get so we could all sit together ...dude seriously tried his crap again and the captain told him to find another spot and stop messing w us before he gets tossed of the boat by one of us ... The trip itself with out this drunk wanting to start crap dude was amazing and I bet everyone of the 40 people on this boat caught 60 plus fish each... In 4 hours I never seen anything like it ... 2 at a time as soon as it hits the bottom I had no idea how different it could be ... We took our entire family- group of 12. This was the best part of our trip! Captain Scott should definitely have his own comedy show! We did not get to see any dolphins this trip but we had a close sighting of a sea turtle which is very rare! Even though we couldn’t find any dolphins- this trip was absolutely amazing! The adults and the kids (3,5,7,10) loved it! We were able to create core memories with them!

We took the Dolphin tour. It was an awesome time. Small/mid sized boat, the cruise was about 2 hours total, leaving from the harbor, down the channel, to the ocean, and back. The boat was not overcrowded, but the tour was full. They ran air conditioner in the cabin, that was nice, and there were seats with tables in there and a snack bar with *very* reasonably priced sodas, beer, snacks. Seats on the roof dec and could stand or sit along deck level rails. Free to move about during tour. We saw several dolphins and cool birds. We were actually quite close to the dolphins, around 100 - 300 ft. The operators were friendly. A great experience. (Not sure how many dolphins I caught on camera as I was having too much fun watching them in person!)

My family of 5 did the sunset dolphin cruise. We didn't see any dolphins which upset my youngest. But we did have a perfect view. The gentlemen were very polite. We got to see a blue crab and several other ocean animals they had on board.

We definitely give Crazy Sis Marina 5 Big Stars. We did the Dolphin cruise with Captain Mark and Lexi on Blue Wave Adventures. This crew knows where the dolphins are. My wife and I have been on many dolphin tours over the years in Georgia, Florida and here in South Carolina. This tour was the best out of all of them.o highly recommend Blue Wave Adventures and Crazy Sister Marina for your next dolphin tour. Thank you for giving us a great tour.

We did the dolphin watching tour and it was so awesome! Captain Mark was very knowledgeable and fun! We saw a ton of dolphins and the lady with him was great also! Sorry I forgot her name!! Well worth the price, even if we didn’t see any dolphins.

What a fun cruise with a great captain and wonderful narration! Would definitely recommend for friends and/or families. Went with a group from work and we had a great time! They were even very patient with us when we had the occasional bout of giggles... a big 5 stars for sure!!

One of the best oyster po boys I've had. It was packed with oysters. Our server was great too. We will definitely go back next time we are done here.

Our family went here for lunch. These lady that was our waitress was very polite. My wife and I got the fish taco's. They were amazing. The fried version was exactly what you would expect, the boom boom sauce was fantastic and just right! The blackened versiin was 🔥!!! It wakes your taste buds up with a nice smack of spice with some amazing flavor from the fish. Our son ordered the kids pizza, which he loved. Our daughter got the fish nuggets and couldn't eat them fast enough. The sweet potato fries are AWESOME!! We will definitely be making Creek Ratz a staple stop when we visit the area again!!

Overall, I had a really pleasant experience at this establishment. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was great! However, I did have one issue that I feel is worth mentioning. Our server, Addie, while seemingly a nice person, came across as a bit rude during our service. Simple courtesies, like acknowledging our 'thank yous,' were missed, which detracted slightly from the overall experience. I believe with a little more attention to customer service manners I would have a great experience.

If you're looking for the quintessential Murrells Inlet Marshwalk experience, look no further than Creek Ratz. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a true laid-back haven where good times and great company are always on the menu. From the moment you step in, you're not just a customer, you're family. The staff at Creek Ratz truly embody southern hospitality, making you feel right at home with their friendly banter and attentive service. They've mastered that perfect balance of being present without being overbearing, ensuring your glass is never empty and your needs are always met. And speaking of never empty glasses, let's talk about the bartenders. Creek Ratz boasts some of the best in the business. A good bartender, like those at Creek Ratz, isn't just about mixing drinks; they're about enhancing your entire experience. They possess an uncanny ability to read the room, knowing when to offer a friendly chat, a witty remark, or simply a refreshing beverage. They remember your order, anticipate your needs, and always serve with a smile, making you feel like a valued regular even on your first visit. And without a doubt, Brooke stands out as an absolute gem. Her skill behind the bar is matched only by her warm personality and genuine care for her patrons – she truly is one of the best! But the good vibes don't stop there. Creek Ratz keeps the energy high with a live band every single night. Whether you're looking to tap your toes, sing along, or even hit the dance floor, the live music adds another layer of fun to an already fantastic atmosphere. So, if you're in Murrells Inlet and craving delicious food, refreshing drinks, amazing live music, and a place where you're treated like kin, make your way to Creek Ratz on the Marshwalk. You won't be disappointed!

What a great little spot on the inlet. The hush puppies are fabulous, great cocktails and a fun atmosphere! A wonderful low-key spot to have lunch dinner or enjoy the Inlet in the evening. This is not a fast food restaurant, it’s a place to come and relax and enjoy the experience. Fabulous service!

Calamari was bland, no seasoning. Grilled flounder didn't taste grilled at all however it wasn't bad. The grilled shrimp were great but the fried oysters were way over cooked. Overall the food was just "okay" but our waitress was great.

We had a great time! The atmosphere and food were awesome and our service was even better. Kenzie was very fun and helpful and made the experience that much better. One of the best servers I’ve ever had. Highly recommended. If you’re in the area, it is a must stop!

Oysters were muddy and had a bug in it. The server was supposedly “unable” to take the oysters off or even void a transaction in order to not charge me for the oysters that I did not eat due to the fact that they were disgusting. I also then had to still go get dinner and pay for that since I could not eat the food here. I called to speak to a manager and they were too busy to speak to me. As a server myself, I give leeway with this kind of stuff, but I will never be coming back here knowing that she could have voided the transaction because that is a very simple thing to do. I have never been anything but disappointed with this place and will absolutely tell people to steer clear of it.

Lowcountry Zoo

Zoo
Nestled within the picturesque Brookgreen Gardens, Lowcountry Zoo is a delightful attraction showcasing local wildlife in a stunning natural setting. Visitors can immerse themselves in the charm of the zoo and gardens, where they can observe a variety of animals, including otters playing and splashing in their enclosure. The zoo also features farm animals and exhibits on Lowcountry history. With friendly staff members ready to assist, guests can explore paved and dirt trails while taking in the beauty of nature that surrounds them.
Nice little zoo in Brookgreen Gardens. They have a short nature program at 2:30 pm. When we were there they had a screech owl they were showing and teaching about. They also had 1 week old baby goats in the farm area. So cute! The duck enclosure is also fun to walk through. The only thing we missed were the otters which we love. They didn't seem to be out the day we were there.
Sarah B — Google review
This was a pleasant walk around to see birds including sea birds, an alligator, and a small variety of other animals to include the red wolves. The setting was very nice. An added bonus is the farm animal exhibit with the baby goats acting playfully with the parent goats, the horses and cows.
Teresa V — Google review
Its very clean and awesome to see all the animals. Nice walking path. My only issue was two eagles being in a small cage (I'd be guessing, but maybe 40' x 60' and 15' tall?). There wasn't any information about them being rehabilitated or plans to release them after a certain time. I'd of felt better about if I knew there was a cause other than look at these two beautiful eagles.
Brett W — Google review
Incredible! Beautiful scenery and animals. The zoo and garden were very clean. Friendly staff. This place is so charming and it is also massive. Plan to spend a lot of time here. Note that your ticket grants re-admission for a week! I can't wait to visit again!
Dhara P — Google review
Great fun for the whole family! All of the animals look well cared for and they were all either injured and rehabilitated or captive bred. Nice variety of animals and they're mostly native species, so that was neat.
Zac S — Google review
Great way to enjoy being outdoors and seeing some low country animal life that you may not see in the wild. Many of the birds are rehabbed and unable to be safely returned to their natural habitat. They appear healthy and in large enclosures where they can be seen and still have their own space. There are owls, hawks, eagles, ducks, spoonbills, sandhill cranes to name a few. There are alligators, turtles, otters and some d farm animals. The paths allow easy access through the park. There's plenty of parking.
Kathy B — Google review
Small but great zoo. The otter enclosure is unique and I loved it. Otters are my favorite, so I've been to every exhibit I can, including Monterey Bay. This enclosure is intimate and I could have stayed all day watching. It's an easy loop with up close views of the animals.
Brianna S — Google review
The Lowcountry Zoo is honestly such a hidden gem 🦓🌴. It’s part of Brookgreen Gardens, so you’re already in this gorgeous setting, but the zoo itself is such a cool surprise. Unlike your typical giant zoo, this one feels super personal and laid-back — you’re way closer to the animals, and you can actually take your time without fighting huge crowds. They’ve got a really unique mix of native animals — think otters, alligators, foxes, eagles, owls, even a black bear 🐻. Seeing them in these natural, shaded habitats feels so different compared to concrete city zoos. The enclosures are well cared for, the animals look healthy and active, and the whole vibe feels more like you’re walking through nature than just looking at cages. The staff is super friendly too 🙌. You can tell they actually care about the animals and love answering questions. There are signs everywhere with fun facts, so you actually learn a lot while you’re exploring. 💡 Insider tip: Go earlier in the day when it’s cooler — the animals are way more active then. And definitely wear comfy shoes, because you’ll want to wander through the zoo and the gardens afterwards. Overall, the Lowcountry Zoo is a perfect stop if you’re in the area. It’s smaller, but that’s what makes it so special — chill vibes, cool animals, and gorgeous surroundings. 10/10 recommend if you want something fun, educational, and super Instagram-worthy 📸🌿.

After your meal, you can transition to the lively tiki hut next door, where live music fills the air every night, creating an enjoyable ambiance for all visitors.
Excellently prepared fresh and well flavored food. We were seated in 10 minutes rather than 45 minutes as initially told for a party of 10 during dinner hours. Our sweet waitress Victoria provided us attentive service throughout our meal. We also had perfect lemon drop shots made with real lemon! We will definitely visit again when we are in town, thank you for an excellent experience.

Had a very nice time here. Food was delicious and the view was very pretty. Couldn’t give it a full 5 stars just because the prices were a tad high. There’s a million fish restaurants in the area it’s not that much better than the rest. We ate inside which was more upscale. Patio had music and looked very fun. Would def recommend!

Excellent food, service with unbeatable view to the marsh water. Server was prompt, polite and attentive. Got here for lunch and were seated right away ( Monday week prior to 4th of July ) Oysters PO boy was great and blackened flounder was tasty. The fries were delicious Nice background music and overall decent price in lunch menu items

Absolutely amazing! The fish was cooked perfectly and was delicious! Definitely 1 of the best flounders , if not the best ive ever had and the portions are huge! The restaurant has an amazing view of the waterway and just has a cozy feel. Really enjoyed our visit here and will definitely be back in the future.

Overall, a pretty good meal. The highlight was the crab dip appetizer. The she crab soup is excellent. I wish they would offer it in a cup. Unfortunately, they only offered in a bowl for $15 which is a little bit ridiculous for any soup. My daughter got the shrimp Poboy it's enough for two people for sure. Crabcake sandwich is kind of a bit overpriced. The bourbon fish over potatoes is probably the overall best item that we ordered. It was expensive but plenty for two people. Spot on flavor and well done. Overall, really know true disappointments. Just get ready to spend over $100 if you come here for lunch for five people. All good.

Fun, fun, fun area of town with a fabulous board walk along the water. Outside open air with live music and inside seating with beautiful views. BEAUTIFUL. Each side has their own wait list. No call ahead. Our meals: Edemame: 10/10 - large portion! Shrimp and grits: 5/10 - shrimp were cooked perfectly and nice size, nice sausage, good flavor, I'm not used to orange color grits though. And, WAY too much sauce. It's a very wet dish. It's not how I like grits. Crab Cake Dinner: 5/10 - disappointing. To much breading in the recipe. French fries: FAB! Steak fry style, crunchy and soft in the center. Yum! Grits: great flavor, but were orange, too dry and are course ground. So, that means a little lumpy. Wedge Salad: 8/10 - nice cold, healthy and green lettuce. Fresh tomatoes and nice chunky blue cheese. Delish! Beautiful presentation. Sautéed spinach - cooked perfectly and nice texture with nice baby spinach. Good portion. Too much garlic. You have to really love garlic to enjoy this dish. Wait Staff - Kaitlyn was wonderful and honest about bar wait. She was kind enough to recommended we order a second drink when 1/2 through our first. I appreciate honesty over disappointment. Good job Kaitlyn.

We visited this place twice during our 5-day vacation, and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent — our favorites were the Firecracker Shrimps and the local must-try dish, Shrimps and Grits. The fish was very fresh and perfectly cooked, and all the sides tasted just like homemade. The view of the creek is stunning, and the interior design is charming overall. We truly enjoyed our experience and would definitely recommend it!

Our first time here… and wont be the last. Simple and comfortable restaurant. We had appetizers and soups. Hush puppies are awesome. She crab soup yummy and low country red clam chowder really tasty. Both soups had lots of seafood in them. Coconut shrimp -some of the best I’ve had! And then we ordered grouper bites. Delicious!!!!!!!

We were seated outside and it was a lovely evening. The waitress was knowledgeable about specials and menu. She was bringing out everything very timely. we had appetizers as well. I’m not used to restaurants/servers having food prepared so great and still hot off grill!! Our table never lacked food. It has a nice atmosphere and I like that it’s like climbing to a “Treehouse” . That’s my impression when I first saw Russell’s. I highly recommend Russell’s Seafood Grill” to enjoy a great meal out. Also, as most restaurants are doing, there is a 4% fee to use Charge cards - I recommend paying cash.

We loved it so much that we have decided to go back next weekend. A must eat while on your family vacation at the beach!!!! By the way, tarter and cocktail sauce was homemade!!! Fabulous place!!! You can always get it to go too!!!

Good place if you're looking for variety, but there are do many better options if you're after seafood. Portions are reasonable. Quality is not stellar, but ok. It's pretty greasy if you get anything fried. The inlet is across the road.

Happy hour margaritas are large for the price! Their complimentary hush puppies are the best I’ve ever had. The “Whole Dang Pot” is phenomenal. So much food. Definitely enough to share between 2-4 people depending how hungry you are. Only complaint is the flies when sitting outdoors in June/July.

Wow! All I can say is Wow! I would never have guessed that this level of culinary experience was available at a place that l ooks like a run of the mill grill and bar. I was wrong.... Our server, Kennedy, was incredibly helpful. In a town filled with servers... she stands above them all. She was friendly and welcoming... swift with refills and had excellent suggestions when we hit a decision roadblock. The food, wow.... the food. It was unbelievable. Everything, and I mean everything was perfect. Lunch service on a Wednesday, and you would have thought it was a Saturday night... they cooks bring their absolutely A game. The raw oysters were so fresh they still smelled of the sea. The appetizers were other worldly good... the hushpuppies... oh my, the hushpuppies... As a southerner, I know my way around a hushpuppy. I've seen a thing or two... I've been there, done that... until I had their hushpuppies. It was a religious experience. It was a world altering event. My taste buds have been forever changed and I will now be forced to mourn the absence of these hushpuppies from my day to day life. What I'm saying is, they are divine. I will absolutely be back here upon all future return trips. I'm now, officially a life long fan. I will dream of those hushpuppies.

Our first time at Russell's and we were not disappointed. Old time seafood restaurant feel and smell is what I first noticed. I had the Sea Scallop basket grilled and the taste was fantastic(ate a couple before the pic)...add on a house salad with ranch and awesome green beans, so tasty. My wife and granddaughter had the creek shrimp basket with fries that were delicious...thick cut fries better than the shoestring and slaw was just great too. Topped it off with the best key lime pie we have ever had. Last our server Kennedy was the best, great personality and just a genuinely nice person. 7-27-25: return visit and the food may have been better than last year. Fish and chips was great, very light breading on cod and the hand cut fries. Granddaughter had the same shrimp basket as last year and my wife had blackened shrimp basket with fries. Shrimp tasted fresh and were decent sized. We sat outside (outside the plastic curtains) and even at 90 degrees we were comfortable with the shade and breeze. The service however was not the best, Richard left us waiting for our 2nd beer at least 15 minutes, a no show quite often.....then forgot our tarter and cocktail sauce and had to be reminded mm. The key lime pie for dessert tasted kinda store bought.

Overall Impression Russell’s Seafood Grill in Murrells Inlet, SC, is the kind of place that instantly makes you feel like you’ve uncovered a local treasure. From the moment you step onto the property, the classic coastal-cottage architecture, with its weathered wood siding, welcoming front porch, and gabled roof line sets the stage for an authentic Lowcountry dining experience. Food & Flavor Fresh-Caught Seafood: Every dish I tried—from the perfectly fried shrimp to the buttery, melt-in-your-mouth flounder—tasted as if it had been pulled straight from the inlet that morning. Generous Portions: You definitely won’t leave hungry. Even the side dishes (think creamy grits and tangy coleslaw) feel thoughtfully prepared. Signature Specials: Don’t miss the she-crab soup; its rich, sherry-laced broth is a testament to why Russell’s has such a devoted following. Ambience & Design Classic Building Design: The restaurant’s vintage exterior isn’t just for show. Inside, nautical décor, warm wood paneling, and a collection of local memorabilia create a cozy, lived-in charm that transports you to an earlier era of the Grand Strand. Waterfront Views: Large windows and an elevated deck overlook Murrells Inlet, giving you a sunset backdrop that’s nothing short of postcard-worthy. Practical Perks Free Parking Nearby: In a town where parking can sometimes feel like a scavenger hunt, Russell’s offers ample complimentary parking just steps from the entrance, making your visit stress-free from the start. Easy Access: Located right off U.S. 17 Business, the restaurant is simple to find whether you’re a local or a traveler on a seafood quest. Service & Hospitality The staff embodies genuine Southern hospitality, friendly, attentive, and eager to share menu tips or a quick story about Murrells Inlet history. Owner Russell himself often circulates the dining room, adding a personal touch that makes you feel like part of the family. Final Takeaway If you’re searching for fresh seafood, classic Lowcountry ambiance, and the convenience of free parking, Russell’s Seafood Grill is a must-visit. It’s the perfect blend of tradition, flavor, and warm hospitality, a dining experience that captures the heart of Murrells Inlet.

I went to see JACKYL during Myrtle Beach Bike Week. It was great! The venue was fantastic for this event. I’m not sure what it’s like the rest of the year, but it was custom made for bike events with customers riding right into the venue and parking wherever they could fit you in. They have a burn out pit for people with more money than they know what to do with. There were vendors everywhere as well as little bars all over the place. There is a balcony around two sides of the place and it’s all open air. It’s like a party on the patio! I did not rate the food, as I didn’t have any, but the drinks were perfect!😂

If you're planning a trip to Murrells Inlet, make sure to include Inlet Adventure Mini Golf on your itinerary! This delightful 18-hole mini-golf course promises an unforgettable experience for families and friends alike. As you navigate through the course, you'll encounter enchanting dark caves, rolling hills, and stunning waterfalls that add a magical touch to your game.
So fun and VERY kid-friendly. The distance and slope of the holes were perfect for little ones. My 4 year old daughter had a hole-in-one and it made her day! It was very affordable. We went around 5:30 on a Tuesday the week of July 4th, and we seemed to beat the crowds. Kids asked to go back before we were even out of the parking lot!

A great time for the whole family! We had an absolute blast at Inlet Adventure Mini Golf! The course is shaded, which is a huge win on a hot day, and the layout kept things fun and interesting. There are caves, bridges, and unique twists that kept our kids excited at every hole. It's a great mix of challenge and fun for all ages, even our little ones. About halfway through, we stopped for an ice cream break, which was the perfect mid-game treat. There is plenty of parking, so it was easy to get in and out. Big shoutout to Mike, who was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. He was super friendly and helpful and really made the experience special. His sweet dog Bella was there too, and our kids loved getting a few puppy pets before teeing off. Highly recommend this spot for families looking for a fun and relaxed outing. We'll definitely be back!

Just got back from a wonderful experience here! (8/23/23) The woman at the front was immediately EXTREMELY friendly & helpful. It’s a little smaller than expected but it’s super cute, not too tiring, pretty easy for kids, lots of places to sit and take a break (even a cute little ice cream shop halfway through) We will definitely be back! Ps.. i hope to see the super sweet woman again but if not, I hope she’s enjoying her new adventures in life that she spoke about. 💕

Horrible experience. Tiny half hidden no refunds signed sealed the deal. Handed over $25 for a round for two people. And as soon as I touched the door handle to go outside boom heavy rain. "Best we can do is a rain check" the money left my hands seconds ago and I get checked by a policy that is not clearly displayed nor conveyed. Do not waste your money at a place that doesn't respect it. This strip has 14 mini-golf places that all do a better job at respecting your time and money. I settled for the most convenient one and I paid the price. To the owners, be better.

This place was great!! The holes were creative and super fun. The woman who checked us out was super super nice, informative, and overall good to us! $9 per person which is really good for the area, and there’s an attatched ice cream shop at hole 9 if you get hot or need a break. AND if you play before 6, you can play unlimited games:) 100% recommend!
Kristi S — Google review
We’ve played here off and on for years. Very friendly staff. Course is decent. One step is a little higher than the others in one spot and I fell but did not get hurt. We always stop for ice cream while playing as well. I highly recommend this course over some of the other in Murrells Inlet.
Beth C — Google review
First a caveat-- though we love mini-golf and the course looked appealing and challenging, we did not play today. We just went for ice cream! Very cute ice cream shoppe with tables indoors and outside on deck. Excellent Gelato and ice cream flavors and variety of cone options including customized with jimmies, etc. And an unbelievable price for generous scoops-- 2 for $5! Go to play and eat ice cream OR eat ice and then play OR just eat ice cream! It's all good!

Seven Seas Seafood Market is a haven for food enthusiasts and aspiring chefs looking to explore Lowcountry seafood recipes. The market offers locally-sourced seafood products, including fish, crab, oysters, mussels, shrimp, and lobster fresh from the Atlantic. Visitors can find favorite recipes and prepping tips on their website to kickstart their culinary adventure. Additionally, the market supplies oysters for events in the area and is known for its popular options like yellow-fin tuna and Carolina black grouper.
We bought a box of James River oysters that had come just the day prior to our purchase date. They were fresh and delicious. Also picked up some grouper. It was top quality. Great selection of fresh fish and shellfish.

Great little local seafood market. Fresh shrimp, lobster, fresh fish, crab, oysters, and clams. Seasonings also on hand. Coolers with desserts, sauces. And dips also there. They will put ice in your cooler to transport your purchases.
Ann H — Google review
Absolutely outstanding! I had the grouper grilled and seasoned with Everglades chicken & fish seasoning—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. I also grabbed some of their smoked salmon, and WOW… hands down the BEST I’ve ever had in my life. Rich, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Fresh, flavorful, and worth every penny. Seven Seas Seafood Market has definitely earned a repeat customer! So good, I literally forgot to take pics ...got a head back for sure, now!!

Delicious steamed blue crab and the large shrimp were so sweet! Plus the oysters! Definitely worth it!
Erin S — Google review
Vacationed in Myrtle Beach and drove myself crazy trying to find fresh steamed blue crabs before I found this establishment. Customer service was great. Ordered half dozen of crabs and due to the wait (which I had no problem with) got some extra. Crabs were huge and meaty.
Belinda S — Google review
I read about this roadside seafood shop. I read the reviews and decided we're going to stop here and get some of the crab cakes that people were talking about. The friendly people who came in lots of selection. Everything looked fresh. We talked about the local shrimp and we decided just to get the crab cakes. The young lady is talked about the recipes that we should use to cook them and they told us that she had personally made them earlier that day so they were definitely fresh. So unlike some other review here, we really enjoyed our visit. Talking to the staff getting some pointers on cooking. It's great visit. Another note I got home. We cooked the crab cakes and I'll attach a picture how good they looked which doesn't even compare to how great they tasted. We really enjoyed them. If you don't stop here and buy something you are missing out on some fresh seafood.
Tom W — Google review
It was a nice little local market and very strong smelling. I paid $12.99 for medium shrimp that cooked down to extra small. I found better deals on jumbo shrimp at another location. So I probably wouldn’t make the 30min drive next time I’m in town. But if you’re in the area give it a try.

Went on to get some fresh whole local fish to cook and the staff were pleasant enough. They told us which were local and cleaned them for us, which was super helpful. Had a good selection of seafood boil spiced and also baking mixes. Prices were fair and the fish were delicious!

Lazy Gator Gifts

Gift shop
When exploring the charming coastal town of Murrells Inlet, SC, a visit to Lazy Gator Gifts is an absolute must for anyone looking to take home a piece of their adventure. This delightful shop stands out with its quirky and humorous souvenirs that are sure to bring a smile. Spanning over 12,000 square feet, Lazy Gator Gifts boasts an impressive selection of unique items and collectibles that reflect the local culture and charm.
Touristy? Yes. But still fun. It’s a beautifully designed shop and is surprisingly large! Plus, the rocking chairs and porch swing ore a lovely way to spend some time while others are inside shopping. This is a well-lit, spacious shop that we have been going to for years that contains lots of beach-themed items as well as the usual touristy things like T-shirts, etc. They have a great selection of Christmas ornaments as well. My only complaint is that we used to come in every year and get a big metal fish for our wall, and now they have stopped, carrying the big metal fish hangings. Bring back the fish!!!
Lockie H — Google review
Lazy Gator Gifts located in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina is a very large store. Everything was very clean. The employees were nice. Everything in this store seemed to be overpriced. It’s a good place to walk around. I doubt that we will be returning to this store.

Love this place. Usually stop here for small gifts for people back home, prices are not ridiculous, surprisingly large store. Plenty of parking

Are you looking for a unique gift or souvenir? They have home goods, clothing, accessories, handbags, jewelry and so much more. So if you want to walk around a look or pick out a special souvenir, this is the place. Happy 4th of July!

Well , young dark hair girl working at register needs a better job, she obviously is way to good for that position. Most unpleasant person i have met in sc. but hell everyone has a bad hair day. Ill stick to other novelty stores to avoid inconveniencing her again.

GREAT tshirt selection. Probably the best around. Big, bright, friendly, bathrooms and try on room. We go for the tshirts! but theres all kinds of stuff, candy, fudge.
Ellen D — Google review
Generally disappointed. We always made it a point to go to Lazy Gator every single vacation, but I have seen a significant decline in their offerings, and seeming almost empty now. We were turned away at the door one evening because their system was down and not even allowed to enter to browse (with the understanding we couldn't check out, but could have returned if there was something we wanted). Wishing we had not wasted the time to return a day or so later to shop, nothing here that isn't offered at every single other big souvenir shop in the area now. The Lazy Gator of 10 years ago was a destination shopping experience, definitely not now though.

Blue Wave Adventures offers a beautiful sightseeing dolphin tour that is sure to be enjoyed by many. The tour provides visitors with an opportunity to watch majestic dolphins at close range, and learn about their behavior and ecology in the process. Visitors are given plenty of time to enjoy the experience, without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. This tour is perfect for those looking for a unique way to experience Murrels Inlet and its surroundings.
Scott and Awesome lady ( sorry forgot your name!) of Blue wave dolphin tour was amazing! Super down to earth, knowledgeable and down right fun. They made us feel comfortable and can tell they really care about the ocean and what they do. The took us right to a dolphin pod and we watched for an hour as they danced in the water for us. We took the Osprey tour, smaller and much more fun in my opinion. Thank you Blue Wave! Highly recommend!
Pamela B — Google review
We had such a great time on the Osprey Premium Dolphin Cruise with Captain Mike and Susan! They were both fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and full of interesting facts about the area and wildlife. The smaller boat (holds up to 15 people) made the experience feel more personal and comfortable. We saw plenty of dolphins and learned so much along the way. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a more intimate and informative dolphin-watching experience.
Kimberly L — Google review
We took this midday boat tour for my birthday on the Osprey and it would be the understatement of the year to say it far exceeded our expectations. Captain Scott, who was funny and amazing and loves his local community, put us next to a part of 300 to 400 dolphins for 30 minutes As we watch them play and jump and do what adult dolphins do. Lol. His assistant Cody was great This was definitely a highlight of the day and even the year. Being on the Osprey boat is a special boat and it’s very limited to how many passengers and you get to sit on the edges being right next to the water Highly recommend if ever in the Myrtle Beach area even Charleston The photo simply can’t do it justice

Another perfect adventure! Once wasn’t enough for this trip! This was our second time with Blue Wave as our first trip last year was so enjoyable. This time we chose the Osprey, their smaller vessel, on which you can ride the side tubes if you’d like, you are much closer to the dolphins and get a fantastic view. We saw tons of dolphins frolicking and playing almost immediately off shore. Captain Mark and Lexi were excellent at not only navigating to find the dolphins, but to ensure each side of the boat was able to see and experience these amazing creatures. We hung with the dolphins for the solid majority of the trip while Mark and Lexi told us fascinating information about the dolphins and the surrounding areas. A personal favorite of mine is the focus on preservation of the species and an ecological standpoint. We very much appreciate their dedication to these remarkable animals. Likewise, they made sure all guests were comfortable, safe and felt at ease both while riding as well as getting on and off the boat. Lexi and Mark make the trip, fun, enjoyable and most clearly love what they do. How could this not be infectious?? Truly a great trip for the whole family.

Thanks Captain Scott & Cody! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Experience! An Unforgettable Experience with Blue Wave Adventures! Our dolphin cruise with Blue Wave Adventures was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Located right in the beautiful Murrells Inlet, this tour was the perfect blend of adventure, education, and pure joy. The captain and crew were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about marine life, especially the local dolphin population. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and we learned so much about the ecosystem, the dolphins’ behaviors, and the unique beauty of the South Carolina coast. Within minutes of heading out, we spotted a pod of dolphins playing in the surf—not just one or two, but several! The crew made sure everyone had a great view and took the time to explain what we were seeing in a way that was both fun and informative. They were also very respectful of the wildlife, never crowding or disturbing the dolphins, which we really appreciated. The boat itself was clean, comfortable, and perfectly sized—large enough for safety and comfort but small enough to feel personal. The entire experience felt safe, well-organized, and tailored to ensure we had a memorable time. Whether you’re a local or visiting the Grand Strand, I can’t recommend Blue Wave Adventures enough. It’s a must-do in Murrells Inlet and a perfect outing for families, couples, or solo travelers looking to connect with nature. We’ll definitely be back!
Bradley S — Google review
It was the perfect day for boating. We didn't get to see dolphins but learned so much about the history of the area. Capt. Scott and Cody were wonderful to all the passengers. We all could have ridden the boat all day! Just perfect!
Elaine R — Google review
If you are going on a boat tour I highly recommend Blue Wave Adventures. Captain Scott and first mate Cody were a blast. The boat ride itself is an adventure filled with laughter, music, and historical facts about the area. While we were not guaranteed to see dolphins. We did end up seeing them and it was awesome. I would go on this boat tour again regardless if I saw dolphins or not. P:s - If you see a piece of plastic laying on the ground today. Do the marine life a favor and pick it up. 😉

Captain Scott and Miss Lexie were amazing. They were both so nice and told us all about the dolphins and the lands around us. Definitely recommend taking your family on this dolphin tour. We got to see a good bit of dolphins while we were out! It was such a great experience!

Bovines is a waterfront restaurant located at the northern tip of the MarshWalk, offering stunning views of the marshland and water communities. The menu features cooked-to-order steaks, brick-oven-fired pizzas, seafood, and other delectable dishes. Guests can enjoy watching the open kitchen in action as they prepare mouthwatering meals.
I liked this place and I believe it deserves better google score. The food was good, they served complementary bread and butter. Even during rush hour, they were kind and responsive with any thing we needed. They also have nice outside space. This place is recommended.

Been coming here for a few years now and it's still one of my favorites among the marsh walk. We got the chefs special (lobster ravioli and steak) and a crab cake sandwiche. Everything tasted great. The chefs special was a little smaller portioned than expected. But still it looked amazing and tasted so good.

We’ve been coming to the inlet for 8 years on vacation, this is the first trip we have tried Bovines The drinks were spot on ! In a deep Eddys lemon vodka gal and was so happy they had it ! I ordered the short ribs on risotto and it was FANFLIPPINtastic! My hubby ordered the shrimp n grits , we were let down with those as they were a bit on the bland side. We will definitely be back , service was great , beautiful view and I enjoyed my dish! Happy wife - happy life (haha)

This place has gluten free pizza making it one of the only places I can eat at the inlet. And it is really good. So, right off the bat, 5 stars. On top of that the bartenders are really nice and efficient. The place has a good vibe- it's bright and open inside - and everything runs smoothly. Great place to go for dinner and a drink.

Great outdoor atmosphere. My steak was charred beautifully and cooked perfectly. My wife's tomahawk pork chop was tender & tasty. Our waitress was Fran Dreschler incarnate. A great spot to take a stroll on the boardwalk that's a highlight of Murrell's Inlet. Overall, a vacation highlight. Parking will be difficult at a cost of $10+. Bovine's will give you a $5 credit but remind your server BEFORE you pay your bill.

As a new comer to SC I was invited to this amazing restaurant for a birthday party and I cant say anything less then the food was amazing! I had the saute shrimp alfredo and a piece of there incredible chocolate peanut butter pie. Hands down a great place to dine.

Went here for my birthday dinner. Walked in and seated quickly with a view of the water. Our sever provided good service. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza which was just okay, I wouldn’t order it again because the pizza crust wasn’t great. The BBQ chicken quarters and sautéed veggies that my husband ordered was good but my daughter didn’t like her cheese pizza. The brownie dessert was also good. We drove from Myrtle Beach to dine here but I probably won’t return.

Outback Steakhouse is a lively Australian-themed chain that specializes in hearty steakhouse cuisine, including steaks and seafood. During the Christmas to New Year vacation in Myrtle Beach, one customer had a delightful experience dining with their family at Outback. They ordered the classic prime rib steak cooked medium well and specifically requested leaner cuts of beef. The meal exceeded expectations as the cut was tender and perfectly prepared to medium well.
Had a gift card so we went for late lunch. Sat at the bar, served by Zach, nice young man did a great job Went in fully intending yo get a steak but got the all you can eat soup and salad. Great choice. The chili is full of steak pieces and has a little fire but not too bad. I also had a wedge salad that was incredibly fresh and excellent. In addition I had the pecan blue cheese salad also very good. At $9.99 this is the deal ofca lifetime. My wife had the appetizer shrimp and because my chili was so good she ordered a cup. Excellent service and food very satisfied. The gift card was from Firestone for doing an oil change, not bad.

Our DoorDash order was not packaged correctly or sealed. The steaks were so salty we could not eat them. The mushrooms were not even cleaned or stemmed and still covered in dirt!

The service at the bar was spectacular! I had Salmon with a shrimp creole sauce. Loved it. My husband had prime rib that was quite dry, but the management handled it very graciously. Thank you! Drinks were great! We'll be back. Thank you for your hospitality and friendly service.

I've never had a good experience at this location. This will be my last time trying. We sat for a solid ten minutes before anyone stopped by to take our drink order. We had to ask for a drink refill multiple times before we finally got our refills. No less than 3 times. I asked for my steak medium and it was beyond well done. The server never asked if it looked right or if it was cooked right. Adding a photo of what they call a "medium" steak. It was dry and overdone.

The Beaver Bar Murrells Inlet is a popular spot known for its buffet breakfast on Sundays, with all profits going to local charities. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with friendly people and a jukebox playing tunes. The food offerings are diverse and delicious, including shrimp, wings, nachos, hamburgers, fries, slaw, fish bites, fried pickles and chicken tenders.
I had the absolute pleasure of spending 10 unforgettable days with the Beaver Bar family at the outside bar—and what an experience it was. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like part of the crew. Their hospitality, energy, and good vibes were unmatched. EVERYONE should be incredibly proud of the team they've built. The atmosphere is laid-back, welcoming, and filled with character. Whether you're a local or just passing through, the Beaver Bar is more than a stop—it's an experience. I truly had the time of my life and can’t recommend this national icon enough. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit—you won’t regret it.

We stopped in here during fall bike rally on multiple occasions throughout our five days. Always love coming here and sitting in the rocking chairs, crowd watching. Service is okay, it's a biker bar, and when it's crowded, it takes a little bit longer to get a service. Beer is cold and drinks are strong.
Kimberly M — Google review
The service stunk … as I was the server it was my own fault that I spilled my coffee.. lol… seriously this was a wonderful buffet breakfast for an unbelievable price. They have eggs, fries, grits , biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, corn beef hash, breads, French toast and more that I am probably forgetting. The bacon lady(server) has an amazing attitude and made it more enjoyable. All for $7.00 will definitely return for another visit before we leave.

The Beaver Bar in Murrells Inlet is the greatest place ever to go for Sunday morning breakfast. There is a wonderful buffet and the server, who comes around with bacon is exceptionally nice and friendly. All you can eat, eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, potatoes, pancakes, toast, biscuits, fruit, as well as other sweet tasties and includes coffee and refills. This is a wonderful buffet and friendly people. Some may not care for paper plates and plastic forks, as well as serve yourself and get your own refills; however, I understand the money they take in from this breakfast is going to a local charity or someone needy. For the Sunday morning breakfast it’s cash ONLY($7.00) but that’s fine by me because you know the $ is going to a good cause. The Beaver Bar is known to be a biker bar, but on a Sunday morning, you see couples, young and old, you see grandmothers, you see children and some friendly bike riders. It’s a wonderful place for Sunday breakfast. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the owner Leslye Beaver is there sometimes and quite often when she’s at their business in Florida, her daughter Allyson does a wonderful job of keeping things going.

Great place to hang out. Lots of vendors and they will be open before the rally kicks off because of being just over the county line. It's where I spend most of my bike week and there's lots of parking available for both bikes and cars.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store offers American comfort food and gracious service, making it a favorite spot for tourists and locals. The restaurant has assistants who welcome guests and direct traffic, and waitress Laura was awesome - very helpful and kind. The food was hot and delicious, making it a perfect dinner choice. This wonderful American restaurant may soon become a family tradition!
A young man named Payton O was my server. Apparently he's only been working there for a few weeks but he was excellent. Had a fantastic personality, he was polite, professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and a delight. A delight. He definitely made my dining experience even better. The food was good but when you have an excellent server that just adds to the entire experience. They have a real treasure in Payton. I hope they appreciate him.

The restaurant was not really busy at 9:00 am. We were seated and noticed people at 4 tables. We were asked if we would like something to drink just short of 15 minutes and the server was not very engaging at all. The dining area had a strange mildew type smell to it, not horrible but noticeable. I could go on but am not really a complainer at heart.

We came here for dinner. Plenty of parking around the building. We looked around the store for a few minutes because there was no wait to get in. The store and restaurant were clean and the staff was friendly. Our waitress was not on top of things. She came quickly to greet us and take our drink order. She came back 10 minutes later without the drinks to tell us there was no lemonade as she apologized. She took our food order and got distracted by someone that walked into the restaurant as she shouted “Here comes trouble” three times before remembering she was taking our order. Once she came back to reality she finished our orders and said she would be back in a minute with our drinks. Twenty minutes later we got our drinks almost thirty minutes after ordering them. Luckily, the food came out a few minutes after the drinks so we didn’t wait long to eat. The food was great. It’s the reason I rated 4 stars and not 3. I got the Country Fried Steak with dumplings and hash brown casserole. The steak was battered and fried beautifully. I enjoyed every bite with the country gravy on top. Dumplings were great as usual. The hash brown casserole was fantastic. I didn’t think I was going to enjoy it as much as I did. I guess when you fry cheese and potatoes there is no way for it to be bad. I also sampled my daughter’s Buffalo Mac and cheese. Really creamy mac with a kick from the buffalo sauce. Overall good visit minus the bad waitress.

My family and I travel a lot and have eaten at many Cracker Barrel’s. This has been the worst one we’ve been to. We came for dinner. Food was okay. Mashed potatoes were disappointing and could not eat them. There were about two good employees when we went. The hostess was a very kind lady who sat us and our waitress was okay. Not sure if it was a manager, didn’t get her name, she had dark hair. Extremely rude. When we ordered we were asked which two bread sides would we like: corn bread or biscuits. We are a party of 8 so that would be 16 in total. Did not receive 16. The dark haired lady said they were out of biscuits but could give us three. Then we had about eight pieces of corn bread. Not everyone at the table was able to get the two pieces like we were offered. We asked the waitress, she said she would double check. Here comes the dark haired girl again, she gives us four more corn bread and said if we want more she will have to charge us. We started with 11, received 4 more. Still short a corn bread. We just left it at that. As I said, overall the food was pretty good besides the mashed potatoes were obviously very old. I now wish I had taken pictures. Sad that the experience wasn’t great due to a rude staff member/manager that doesn’t actually fix anything. Will not come back here. We will happily enjoy other Cracker Barrel’s that have kind staff. I read old reviews and lots of great ones. Unfortunately I can’t say our experience was great like others on here. If you go, good luck and I hope you have a better experience.

Was seated quickly, had a young man as my waiter, opened the menu and pointed to the picture of the old timers breakfast w/ beef tips and Hash brown casserole, the menu stated it came with biscuits/gravy and apples. My meal came and i requested Heinz 57. He brought me a near empty bottle. Everything was cold except the restaurant. Kid had 3 tables, never refilled my water until i asked for my check. Lucky i didn't chip a tooth on the biscuits. Gravy wouldn't melt butter. Never again!

Usually very good service at a reasonable price. The price is comparable to all of the fast food chains but there are many more diverse choices with much healthier options. The decor is charming; so glad they didn't change it.
Edward G — Google review
Such a well-maintained Cracker Barrel! Our server Juli took excellent care of us. The environment was clean, the wait times were short and reasonable, and the staff was friendly and professional.

This used to be my absolute favorite place to eat. Sadly it isn't anymore. The biscuits taste they they are pre-made and frozen. The mac and cheese had absolutely no flavor. I wish I could say I'll be back but honestly I don't know.

Live music venue
Hot Fish Club, located in Murrells Inlet, is a historic establishment dating back to 1792. Originally a social club for epicureans, it now houses a seafood restaurant and Gazebo bar with live music. The place is adorned with a cool mural and nearby Lost at Sea Memorial at Morse Landing Park. It has become a go-to spot for seafood enthusiasts due to its diverse menu offering an extensive selection of delectable options.
We had a fantastic dinner here with excellent food and service. Our waiter Sully was patient, charismatic and helpful. We ordered two soups, the chowder and she crab (we preferred the she crab). For entrees we had the lobster pot pie, huge portion and unreal in the best way. Also the Chilean sea bass with risotto which was a little salty but cook on the fish was absolutely perfect. We would totally return again since there is so many great things on the menu.

In the last few years, my family has stumbled upon the Hot Fish Club and it has become a regular part of our vacation dinner spots. Luckily, my wife and I were able to go twice while being in town this summer. With Hot Fish being a hot spot for both visitors and locals, it is best to reserve a table in advanced. We reserved our tables two weeks prior to our vacation. In the past, my wife and I have walked in and decided to sit at the bar and the food, atmosphere and service is still top notch. Since we have been coming for a while, we have collectively tried a good amount of food off their menu (sushi, specials, apps, wine, you name it) and it is all excellent. Considering our most recent trips, 7/9 and 7/16, collectively my wife and I got entrees off of their specials menu and were blown away by the quality and portion. As far as apps go, you can’t go wrong with the Korean fried chicken and the crab & shrimp pinwheels. Another favorite is the fried creek shrimp platter. I don’t know what they do to it but oh man, I dream about the next time we can get there so I can order more! Overall, Hot Fish is worth the wait or week long plan ahead for a table. I have yet to utilize their Gazebo so I can’t speak to that, but I am sure I would enjoy it knowing the product they produce. If you’re seated in the dining room, enjoy the view of the inlet from just about every table.

First visit but will definitely return. Enjoyed seats at the bar on a Monday evening. Bam Bam Shrimp appetizer, Sautéed Scallop Platter, Fried Flounder Platter, Key Lime Pie were delicious. Staff was great. Recommended and discussed many of the local crafters. Also an outside cabana area with live music.
Chris W — Google review
Fantastic food! We got several appetizers - the pears, pinwheels, calamari, okra... All phenomenal! I ordered a Hawaiian roll and nagiri- awesome! My friends got the crab legs, lobster Mac, grouper... All wonderful!
Brittany B — Google review
Relaxing restaurant with mellow local atmosphere and people. Jaime was our fantastic server and provide some great recommendations including the calamari which was different than most which created the most tender version I have ever had, so highly recommended. Hubby and o had wonderful food it my ribeye was a bit tough although cooked medium.
CCV N — Google review
GREAT food! Much more reasonably priced than other seafood restaurants in the area. My group had the blackened scallops, lobster pot pie, char-grilled cobia, and pan-seared red snapper. Every single dish was wonderful. We will definitely return if we're in the area. The parking lot is definitely bumpy with potholes, and it can be difficult to find a spot when the restaurant is full, which it often is.
Wenzhu S — Google review
Was crazy busy so it was hard for our server to stay on top of things though he really made up for it with his witty and fun personality. I had a huge group too, so try to keep that in perspective. Though we were here for over 2 hours. The drinks were good and based on server recommendation, I went with the lobster pot pie which was INCREDIBLE. I had several other items I had planned to get this not being one but he sold me on it and I dont not regret it one bit. I tried other dishes, like the grilled grouper, and cobia. Both were solid but something about the pot pie was just spot on. Had several desserts for the table, really enjoyed the peanut butter pie. Still thinking about it!
Michael D — Google review
Was brought here by my girl friend who is a local. I really relied on her recommendations since the menu was so large and felt almost impossible to choose from as everything sounded so tasty. I settled on a classic thinking if this place is as good as she claims this dish will be simply delicious. I was definitely not disappointed, the flavor profile was so deep, smokey, a sense of heat, and the shrimps were cooked to a perfect bite. The portion size was enough for two large meals which, the leftovers the next day tasted even better than the first! We didn’t experience any of the nightlife or live music that goes on here but I could tell by the location that it would be a really fun place to kick back and let loose a little. Overall great experience.

Nestled along the serene waters of Murrells Inlet, Morse Park Landing is a hidden gem that beckons those seeking tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This charming park features a touching fishermen's memorial, honoring the lives of fisherfolk and sailors who have passed on. Visitors can enjoy stunning marsh views while taking advantage of amenities like a crabbing dock and boat launch.
The playground is nice for children, the park is relaxed and quiet most of the times we've gone, and the water access is great for kayaks if the tide is up. Great experience out on the water. I do wish they would get a few loads of gravel and smooth the parking lot out some.

Seafood restaurant
Inlet Provision Company is a delightful dining gem that opened its doors in 2019, conveniently located next to the renowned Hot Fish Club. This charming restaurant stands out as one of Murrells Inlet's most budget-friendly spots, with a menu featuring an array of dishes priced under $15. The interior boasts rustic decor that creates a cozy bar atmosphere, while the expansive waterfront deck offers breathtaking views of the shoreline—perfect for enjoying your meal al fresco.
The food was delicious! The vibe was peaceful and calm. They had a young guy singing at the bar, he was fantastic also! We had been out all day and were starving. I saw this place on Google and had to try it. It was the favorite meal while we were at the beach. The waitress was awesome, we ate it all.

Great food served in a fun atmosphere. My salmon and salad and my husband's fried flounder with fries & coleslaw were excellent. The place is very large and it's decorated great and it has great views of the inlet and a boardwalk out back. It's in an area south of the Marsh Walk where there are a few more restaurants. They have two large bars (one inside & one outside) and large windows throughout the restaurant, so you can take in the views. Our server was very nice & attentive. The restrooms were clean. We'll definitely return.
V M — Google review
Craft beer was $6.50. I had the Blackened Mahi-mahi served with a creamy Edisto Island yellow grit cake, lump crab meat & lemon butter sauce and Brussels sprouts ($24.95). She had the Pick 2 (Shrimp & Crab Cake) with the Edisto Island yellow grit cake and Brussels sprouts ($31.95.) My Mahi-mahi was nicely seared and with the crab and butter sauce it was delicious. Her shrimp and crab cake were delicious too. I liked the grit cake but she didn’t care for it. The Brussels sprouts were pan fried but many still had the stringy stalk end attached. Samantha N. was helpful and attentive.

We stumbled upon this place completely by accident—and thank goodness we did! It was so good, we came back two nights in a row during our beach trip. Hands down 110/10. The first night (Wednesday), we had Taylor as our server, and they were absolutely fantastic—super friendly, attentive without hovering, and just had great energy. The food, the vibe, everything felt like we hit the jackpot. So of course… we had to come back the next night (Thursday) for our final dinner of the trip. That second night, Kristen (praying I have her name right) took care of us, and once again, it was stellar service. The whole place had this chill, relaxing atmosphere, with zero wait both nights (how?!), and the view over the marsh? Unreal. Peaceful, scenic, and just the perfect wind-down spot. Taylor even came out and said “hey” which made us feel a little special. And now… the food. Let’s just say if I could hug a side dish, I would. The skillet honey butter cornbread was absolute chef’s kiss perfection—crispy edges, warm center, that melty butter magic. And don’t even get me started on the lobster mac… rich, creamy, generous on the lobster, and dangerously addictive. We were shameless about ordering the cornbread two nights in a row. We even got to enjoy taking a few cute photos of the kids out back on the marsh walk! It truly felt like we found a secret local favorite, and we’re honestly a little jealous of anyone who lives close enough to go all the time! This has easily knocked some of the big competitors down the street completely off our list and have now been replaced with Inlet Prohibition.

This place has a very relaxed and fun atmosphere. We had drinks and then dinner at the bar. Food was great. The back opens to a small board walk that gives you the opportunity to walk around a bit and look out at the Marsh. The fries specifically are great - not your regular French fries but big crispy potato wedge twists. Updated menu attached in photos. Would come back!

Jacob was amazing, he knew what to suggest, knew the menu & a great vibe! The food was 5 star, best $40 meal I have ever bought. My steak was cooked perfectly & everything came out super fast from drinks , appetizer & our meal. Portion sizes were large !!

What a view right on the marsh! Our server was friendly and fast, the food was hot and fresh. Highly recommend the grouper bites! Cocktails were fun! Just a fabulous place. I’m absolutely returning.

Scallop appetizer was absolutely excellent. Catfish and fries were awesome. Crabcake was the best I've eaten. Shrimp was a little more spiced than I personally prefer, but perfectly cooked and fresh. The service was attentive, and the view was beautiful.

We stopped by yesterday to get fish for our friday lunch. They were very helpeful despite the fact that we only had a small order for 2. The fish was very fresh and tasty. I made it portuguese style. We' ll definetely go back for more and recomend it to our friends and family. Thank you

We ordered a seafood boil for 5 people when we were there during Labor Day weekend,8/31/24. The restaurant smells like a dead meat. The seafood boil was bland and half cooked. We ended up throwing the food out and going out to eat at another restaurant. We wasted $160 and our time.
Allen G — Google review
Spent almost $400 on crabs and shrimp only to get back to our house and find out that 1.5 dozen of crab are dead and all the shrimp (6) lbs smell like week old bait. Was looking forward to a fun family dinner but instead we’re left with disappointment and empty bellies. Now off to try to find a back up plan for a family of 9

We shop here several timers per year. Always fresh seafoid and fantastic in house made soups! Crabs are always perfect & packed well & the shrimp is the best on the strand. We highly recommend Murrell's Inlet Seafood! Can't wait to stop back by!

We purchased 5 dozen blue crabs today, 8/27, of the 5 dozen 1 1/2 dozen where dead before we could steam them an hour later. Spoke to Rick, the owner, who was extremely condensending, his comment was " you must of killed them", they were alive when they left here" and refused to offer any solution. We are from Maryland and eat steamed crabsall summer and know the sign of old crabs. Extremely disappointing, don't use this place...horrible experience.

Visited last July recommendation from a local resident recommended the crabcakes and they were good went back this year 2024 July. Not sure if it’s new owners or Make it management. The fish was not fresh crabcakes had a peculiar odor after they were cooked still had the same strange odor, lots of other alternatives that are much better

Amazing shop! We picked up some shrimp to grill while camping, and it tasted like "it was swimming today"! The folks here are wonderful and will exceed your customer service expectations. It was so great that we went back and purchased lots of things to bring home. One was the lump crab, I have always checked my lump crab for shells before cooking and this was the cleanest, tastiest crab I have ever eaten! Definitely make crab cakes and top with their Zesty Crab Dip...if there is any left after you have it on Ritz as an appetizer! Can't wait to try the Blue Crab soup. This place is fantastic!

Update: The original post below was 5 years ago. I was in the store yesterday and it's even bigger and better than before. They've expanded to the building next door and it has filled up as well. LOVE THIS PLACE!! Best little treasure shop ever. We love all the variety of the different vendors and ALWAYS something exciting here! Some vendors have a theme and others are a mix of old and new. If you love consignment or antiques shops, this one is a MUST!

It's still a great consignment store and I rarely leave empty handed. 😂

Seafood restaurant
Nance's Creekfront Restaurant is a down-to-earth seafood restaurant with a sports bar vibe serving oysters and other seafood dishes at affordable prices. The restaurant has panoramic views of Murrells Inlet and is known for its Local Oyster Roasts, which many customers come back to year after year.
This was our first visit to Nance's and we'll be going back! My wife had the shrimp/scallops and I had the whole baby flounder. That was crispy and I loved it. Our server Corinne took good care of us. And the guitarist performing was loud enough to hear, but not overwhelming like most of the Marshwalk.
Doug D — Google review
First time here in several years. Used to be my favorite oyster shack. Oysters were good, but all very small. Service was nonexistent. Waitress took our order and didn't come back except to bring us a bill, when she then noticed we didn't get a large portion of our order. Good was brought out by kitchen staff. No check ins, no drink refills, etc. Our appetizer was comped due to one entree never being brought out to us. This is unacceptable. We never even saw our waitress, to tell her we were missing a meal. For an hour, no one asked, checked in or noticed.
Heath W — Google review
Came for the live music..was a wash out unfortunately… but the view was amazing! The drinks from our bartender Jared were amazing and suggestions were on par. The Ghost Margarita is a MUST HAVE! Local oysters not to much of a brine, not to sweet, and massive. Although our table touches were scattered on a slow rainy Friday, the drinks and food will have you coming back for more.

Marylander here. 2nd time here for my fiance-Its been over ten years though. First time for Me, my mother and my daughter. Our waitress was amazing. Hush puppies were really good but not what we are used to bc they were sweet. We all liked the crab dip, my daughter finished it off. I had Alaskan crab legs with potatoe & corn, I loved it. My mom & daughter had fried soft crab sandwich with potato salad, my kid wasn't a fan but my mom liked it. My mom LOVED the oysters they had. My fiance hasn't seafood plater with shrimp, fish, scallops and potato salad..I tried a bite of his food and it was good, just a little fisher tasting than im used to. Potato salad was different than im used to but I took it home and and it later. Would definitely come back again next time im in the state.

The view was stunning, the waitress was nice, and the food was okay. I went early and had no trouble parking or waiting to be seated. I thought the manager's parking spot in front was tacky and the staff looked sad.
Cyndi B — Google review
Spectacular views of the Inlet. I highly recommend visiting during sunset. Thick white cut of fish. Batter is on the heavier side. Clam strips were some of the smallest I've had. Tasty fried food overall. Crab cake pictured I believe was ~ $12 Hushpuppies are some of the best I've had! Compared to the other marshwalk area restaurants I would say it's alright. I definitely enjoyed my meal though.
Caleb — Google review
This was our second time. If been looking forward to going back because our first visit was 5- star. Not this time. Over 2.5 hours for drinks, appetizer and meal. Our poor server was running inside, outside, up and down stairs. The food took forever to come out of the kitchen. What was a great place for us has been changed to cater to people outside for the music. We were told "she's changing a lot of things" by one of the staff. Changing not for the better. I went to the ladies room and the toilet seat was hanging off the toilet in the miniature toilet stall labeled handicapped. We were so disappointed!! Time to find a new favorite place.
Lisa F — Google review
Walked in and sat at the bar—place was slammed, but the bartender was working solo and absolutely nailed it. Service was fast, friendly, and spot-on, even under pressure. The fresh oysters from the coast of Virginia were some of the best I’ve had in a long time—perfectly chilled and super fresh. I also ordered a pound of boiled hot shrimp, and they were delicious—seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was an upper-end beach vibe with an amazing view—exactly what you want when you’re by the coast. Will definitely be back!
