Grapevine

Grapevine is a city in Texas. It's known for its restored 19th- and 20th-century buildings. Many of these are on downtown's Main Street, which is lined with restaurants, galleries and shops. The Cotton Belt Railroad District is home to artisans’ workshops, including a glass-blowing studio, a blacksmith and a bronze foundry. The 1888 Cotton Belt Railroad Depot is the starting point of the Grapevine Vintage Railroad.

What an amazing experience! We were there yesterday. It is called the Christmas capital for a reason. Beautiful Christmas atmosphere with dancing lights, snow showers ( not real but felt real!) , Christmas music, pictires with Santa, yummy holiday food samples and so much more! A must visit arpund Christmas time.
These are some of the photos of 38th Annual Main Street Festival. The Festival lasts for May 20, 21 and 22 2022. There are a lot of people at this festival and there are bands, varieties of foods and rides for children. There are also different things that you can buy as well. There's also wine tasting, jewelry that you can buy and more. The booths are scattered throughout the festival and each both offers something different. This particular event is kid friendly and has something for everyone in it.
Perfect place for a nice walk, full of history, shops, restaurants, and lots of spots for great pictures. It has the perfect small town vibe but within minutes of Dallas and Fort Worth.
Rocky & I love visiting historic Downtown Grapevine! Especially during Christmas. Rocky is the 2020 & 2021 Dog Days of Denton SpokesDog and he loves walking main street and meeting so many nice people.
Grapevine is often called the "Christmas Capital of Texas", and going off their downtown you can definitely see why. A majority of the buildings are elaborately decorated, and there is an abundance of photo opportunities if you need to create last-minute Christmas cards. There are plenty of interactive elements, including a model train exhibit in the visitor center, a live blacksmith, and snowman which come to life to sing a "Can't Stop the Feeling" parody at night. I will say a high percentage of the shops fall under the "tourist trap" category: I'm a big fan of weird socks, but once you see the same designs for the dozenth time it starts to get a bit tiring. There seemed to be an outsized focus on small businesses, so that's nice. It gets very crowded during the Christmas season. I first arrived at a Sunday around 5, and the adjacent parking garage was completely full, leading to a 20 minute wait to find a parking spot. It got ridicously slammed by 7. On a Tuesday I arrived at 11am to low crowds but it got a bit busy by 1 and started to really pick up by when I left at 3. The rate for the garage is thankfully very reasonable. If you are in the DFW area, I definitely recommend visiting. Even beyond Christmas, downtown Grapevine has a lot of interesting historical landmarks throughout as one of the oldest incorporated communities in the metroplex, and although I complained about the shopping options, there are some real gems here. Grapevine is right next to the DFW airport and within a 30 minute drive of most major cities in the area, so travel should not be a big issue.
‘‘Twas the night before Christmas in downtown Grapevine. We had a blast walking and enjoying the lights.
Downtown Grapevine is beautiful during Christmas! Great place to see lots of lights and take fun pictures!
So much to see during the holidays, but a joy to experience year round. The restaurants, shops, and weekend farmers markets are beyond adorable and unique. Great for brunch, gifting, or just a change if scenery.

Fantastic time! Very knowledgeable staff. Shout out to Greenlee for taking the time to talk about the animals in the tank. Interactive kiosks were cool with English and Spanish options. Great experience overall! Will visit again!
We here a couple weeks ago. My friend had his kids birthday party there. We had a private room to celebrate and have fun activities for kids and everyone. It was pretty nice just make sure you know the rules first we wasn’t aware we couldn’t separate to go to the aquarium until we were done with the birthday but it all worked out anyway. The people there were nice and helpful. When we went to the aquarium, it was pretty nice and bigger than expected. Just know there are other kids there so it can get crowded at times but in the end, it was still fun. In case you looking for it it’s next to the Lego place.
I had a wonderful time here! We celebrated my granddaughter’s 1st birthday party here. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We loved the atmosphere and aquatic attraction they have here. You don’t expect it to be as big as it is by the way it looks from the photos. We were shocked by how big it was and talk about beautiful, you can tell that they take care of there fishes and other species. I give it a 10 out of 10.
Was okay. Was super crowded, so we couldn't get to see well or enjoy the exhibitions. But they have the tunel, with sharks and etc...that was a +A and the sea turtles..."I love love, love them ". Kids had fun,so my goal was completed. We found a dead cockroach!! -100 on that Gift shop was okay as well and the staff was nice. Nothing bad for a aquarium inside the mall.
It was amazing. The only thing that I would say is I think it's a little overpriced but it blows away the one in Dallas. My daughter went to the one in Dallas when she saw these pictures she said wow where's this one! I really liked when you're walking What looks like through the water that was really awesome and my grandson loved it. I just think it should be a little bit cheaper but it's beautiful
First time to visit and would definitely do it again. The kids had so much fun. Since I do have a special needs daughter, I look out for our community. Sea Life Grapevine is wheelchair friendly. Everything is open inside for all to see. The peak through tunnels are the only issue inside, as the child has to be removed from their chair if possible to look through, but you can the fish without doing the peek bubble. Handicap bathroom is large, but only has a changing table for babies. I added the $7 tour behind the scenes. Our tour guide was amazing and what we saw was worth the price; however I wouldn't buy it again it. Tickets were less on their website compared to Groupon. We had 3 adults, 3 kids, 1yr old who was free. I ONLY paid $179 and this included behind the scenes. It was a fun-filled day with my kids.
Sea Life is an amazing place to visit! There’s a wide variety of fish and sea creatures to see, and you can tell they take really good care of them. The ticket price is quite reasonable for the experience you get. The staff are passionate and happy to explain things, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Loved going to this place with my family. We bought tickets the day before, and you can't take food or drink in the aquarium, but it is inside the mall, so you can go eat at the nearby food court. They also have VR section, but that is an additional thing to pay for when you buy your tickets. You do have the option to print the tickets out, or just show them on your phone.

Very huge outlet with many brands. Lot of varieties are available. Has top brands as well. Good food joints. Very large parking areas. Parking lot is free. There is parking for accessible. The premises are wheelchair friendly. Also premises are kids friendly.
Nice mall, great variety of stores and restaurants. Great prices and finds. Extra security but better safe than sorry. Great places for hanging out and fun.
I haven't been here in years. It has changed so much! It's so easy to spend 2+ hours in here. There's a little bit of everything for everyone and highly recommend coming here on a free day! ☺️
Great mall, excellent food court and a lot of stores. It has a lot of outlet stores too. They also have a place that can duplicate keys and program key fobs for cars. This mall is just like the Katy Mills Mall in Houston.
Grapevine Mills Mall is my second favorite Mall in the DFW area. I have been there numerous times. But my favorite is still The Stonebriar Mall, I just don't live close enough to the Stonebriar, to make it there more often. Anyway I like the numerous Cologne and Perfume stores that they have there and have purchased a few different colognes in the past few months. Recently I visited the Aquarium with my sister and that was fun. So it has a lot to see, a decent food court of course lots of parking space etc. It's visited by both locals and a lot of people that you can tell have just arrived from the nearby DFW airport. So it's definitely one of the hot spots for the DFW area.
Grapevine Mills in Dallas-Fort Worth is a premier shopping destination featuring over 180 stores, outlet boutiques, and a massive food court. Visitors enjoy entertainment options like a movie theater, Legoland Discovery Center, and Sea Life Aquarium. With scheduled events, ample parking, and proximity to DFW Airport, it’s ideal for family outings.
Grapevine Mills shopping mall is a gigantic, better than average brand name discount outlet center. It offers a nearly complete set of top fashion brands, as well as a few European ones, but not Vitton, of course. Discounts vary from brand to brand, store to store, but generally can be 30% to 50% in some cases. Some brands, like Ralph Lauran, are usually only 10% except for "special sales." These are augmented with some American discount retailers like Ross's and Marshalls, along with specialty fast food take away restaurants in the large food court, and a couple of sit down ones like Chili's. We have shopped there countless times and found some very good buys over the years. It has TWO full length full store aisleways. It can be quite crowded on weekends and holidays. It is about one half miles+ long and takes about 20 minutes to walk end to end. There are good restroom and baby changing facilities throughout. There is more than substantial parking, but you may have to write your parking spot down, because the parking is equal to, or exceeds Disneyland in size with NO trolly to ferry you back and forth. Customer service is generally quite good, but varies from store to store. We do recommend it if you prefer name brand clothing. I highly recommend you review it online before you go to see what brands are there and what clothing models or retail items are being offered.
The mall was ok….clean! But the atmosphere was very dull and not enough good stores! I’m from So. California and more specifically the “Inland Empire” where they have the Ontario Mills Mall and it’s probably twice the size of Grapevine Mills….more exciting atmosphere! It took me less than an hour to walk the entire mall!! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Came from Idaho, the room wasn’t ready right at 4 but they let us do late check out the next day and threw in the buffet for dinner. The water slide area is AWESOME! They have life jackets for the little kids. There’s a million other fun things for the kids to do besides the water park too. The rooms are really clean. We like how the floors in the room, at least the one we were in, doesn’t have carpet so the floors can actually be cleaned well unlike hotels with carpet.
Great Wolf Lodge Review Our recent stay at Great Wolf Lodge was a fun-filled family adventure with a few areas for improvement. Water Park & Safety: The lifeguards were absolutely amazing — incredibly attentive and quick to act. We even saw them step in multiple times to help kids who needed assistance, which made us feel very safe. The water park itself is great, but next time I’ll definitely bring water shoes — the floors can feel a little icky at times. Staff & Service: We had a couple of moments where kids got separated from their families, but the staff handled it swiftly and professionally. Overall, the employees are friendly, though they could use more help during peak times. Lines at the attractions can get long, and service at the restaurants is noticeably slow. Food prices are a bit steep if it’s not part of your package. Breakfast was definitely better than dinner, so I’d recommend going with a breakfast-inclusive deal if possible. Facilities & Amenities: The elevators are pretty slow, so if you’re able, it’s faster to take the stairs. The MagiQuest game is a big hit with kids, but parents should pack patience — and comfy shoes! There’s also a full Starbucks on site, which is a lifesaver for early mornings. Tips for Your Stay: Bring hand sanitizer (there aren’t enough stations around the resort) and water shoes for the park. Overall: Despite some slow service and long waits, Great Wolf Lodge offers a safe, family-friendly environment packed with activities. The staff’s attentiveness and the fun atmosphere make it worth the visit — just go prepared and plan ahead for the crowds.
This is a big, impressive facility. I normally go to the Webster location, so I was curious to see how Grapevine compared. Right away you notice it has more dining options and a couple of outdoor slides, which should make it more fun. But despite the warm Thanksgiving weather, all the outdoor areas were closed, which was a bit disappointing. Inside, the water park feels very similar to Webster — plenty to do, and the kids don’t really notice the difference anyway. We stayed from Sunday to Tuesday, so yes, it was busy. But to be fair, the place handled the crowds pretty well. The only real frustration was check-in. The kiosks weren’t working properly and it took much longer than expected. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and family-friendly. I also liked that you can bring your own food and drinks — a lifesaver if you don’t want to buy every meal onsite. It’s not exactly a cheap weekend, but my 5-year-old had a great time, which is really what matters. Overall, a good experience and not much to complain about
We had a great experience. I read a lot of horrible reviews before I left and was prepared for a disappointing experience but it was the opposite. Cleanliness: the rooms, resort, main areas, and water park were all clean. I saw mutlple workers cleaning throughout the day. No concerns in this area, rarely saw trash or debris anywhere. Food: yes overpriced, convenient not to leave the resort though. We did breakfast buffet, pizza and salad for lunch and dinner buffet. We also brought snacks and sanswhich stuff. Disappointed in the meal plan only because I thought I waa saving money but turns out the breakfast buffet for the kids was only 12.99 so plus the 30 a day dining credit, I saved 0 dollars (42.99 a person a day). Mediocre food but was not expecting a fine dining experience. Skip the dinner buffet and just get a couple pizzas. Food credits work as a balance on your account, they only expire when you leave but not at midnight like other posts I read. Waterpark: go early in the am and the last 2 hours of ope ingredients 6-8 if you want to ride the slides, all other times were 30 plus minute wait. The tornado and green tube slide were our favorite. There was enough seating even on Saturday. The outside pool waa open too which was great to get some air. Activities: kids loved magiquest, halloween events and Luna story. We got the wolf pass and 2nights/3 days struggled to complete all the activities. We did it though! This place is a whole experience, its expensive. They try to upgrade you on everything (the wand, candy, etc). I knew this going in so it waa no big deal, this was one and done for us bucket list item. Probably won't be back unless we can get rooms super cheap. 2 nights, 2 wolf passes, late check out, upgraded patio, wolf den, and dining plan for 3, parking etc our bill was 1400. Pricey but worth it for a quick get away. Try it out but level set expectations. Other things to note, they dont check bags going into water park, people brought coolers etc, they have towels no need to bring them. A back pack is a must, goggles, snacks, water cups, enjoy your time!
Here’s a more emotional, heartfelt version — warm, grateful, and expressive, without being over the top: ⸻ I can’t say enough about how the Build-A-Bear team completely saved our day. What started as a tough, emotional birthday turned into something magical because of the kindness and heart your staff showed. They didn’t just help the kids build bears — they saw them, listened to them, and made them feel important in a moment when they really needed it. The extra time, the gentle conversations, the patience, the excitement they shared… it all meant more than they’ll ever know. We walked in with heavy hearts and walked out with smiles, memories, and so much gratitude. Thank you for hiring people who lead with love, who understand children, and who treat every family like they matter. You gave us back a special day, and we’ll never forget it.
: Checking in was super easy and fast Rosy was very helpful with answering questions and offering us the adventure pass for the family we were there just for one day but we made use of it. she pointed out that a lot of the attractions close at 10pm. so gave us time to use it. We were able to purchase the Halloween bag as well good deal on it. Just in all was like we knew each other and wished my son a wonderful time and to go get his ears. She was able to relate on how excited he was since she told us she has grand children and they love it there for story time.. once again thank you so much..
Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine is an incredible family destination, especially for younger kids. The indoor water park is massive and well-designed, featuring slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, and splash areas that provide hours of fun. Beyond the water attractions, the lodge offers a variety of kid-friendly activities like scavenger hunts, arcades, interactive games, and story time, which make the experience feel immersive and engaging. The rooms are spacious and family-oriented, often with themed décor that adds to the excitement for children. Staff are generally helpful and friendly, and the property is clean and well-maintained. For a birthday or special outing, the lodge adds little touches — character appearances, themed events, and birthday packages — that make the visit feel extra special. Overall, it’s a magical, dream-like experience for kids, combining adventure, fun, and memorable moments in a way that keeps the whole family entertained. also here is a fast food close by: In-N-Out Burger, 1303 William D Tate Ave, Grapevine, TX 76051
A fun time was had by all. We rented a cabana to really enjoy the visit. This is our 7th time here, I think. But the first time with grandkids and the first time since our children were younger. We stayed visiting this location the first month it opened and have watched it grow and expand. The rooms were always really nice but this visit they seemed a little dilapidated. The shower handle was not screwed on and came off in my hand. This was on one of the largest suites, as well. Oddly, the bedrooms had televisions but the sitting area did not. The park itself was much the same and a whole lot of fun. The bottom level with the activities had changed a lot but the Oliver's Mining Company was a fun time sifting for rocks and whatnot. Be sure to go to the 8pm or 930pm story times of you have little ones, it's way more interactive now. It used to be someone just reading and now it's a full on show.

A great value for the money. 6 hours of entertainment for under $30. The train and cars are fantastic! Vintage (100 years old) but in great shape. During the summer months choose an air conditioned car. Not much more money. The view along the way isn’t much to brag about, but they have a team of entertainers who do a fantastic job making the time pass. You spend 2 hours at the Ft. Worth Stockyards (the perfect amount of time). The timing works out for you to see the longhorns parade through the street. This train ride is the real deal! You should go.
It's been a few years since we've taken this Train it was an incredible journey then and now. We had company in from out of state and we wanteted to do something special. However if you are looking for a quick trip down to Fort Worth and back to Grapevine. it's not so fast. Be prepared for a potentially longer yet rewarding journey to Fort Worth it used to be like 45 minutes now there's several stops because they are sharing that train track. It's a truly uplifting change of pace to bring out-of-town guests to do something extraordinary such as ride this vintage train. The Vintage train hires actors who reenact a train robbery with humor. It is really a wonderful comfortable way to see the city sights and let someone else do the driving. From Grapevine to Fort Worth we were able to see the Stockyards and the cattle run. We also saw one reenactment of a gunfight. It was definitely reminiscent of the old west of the turn of the century.
A Fun and Nostalgic Ride with a Wild West Twist! The Grapevine Vintage Railroad is an unforgettable experience! From the moment you step into the beautifully restored train cars, you’re immersed in a journey through time. The vintage interiors, scenic ride, and friendly staff make it perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a fun day out. The best part? They had a live “train robbery” performance during the ride, complete with actors, cowboy hats, and a playful storyline. It was absolutely entertaining and added a fun Wild West twist to the whole trip—kids and adults alike were loving it! The journey from Grapevine to the Fort Worth Stockyards was smooth and scenic, with lots of great photo opportunities and a chance to explore the Stockyards before heading back. Highlights: 🚂 Vintage train cars with old-school charm 🤠 Live “train robbery” skit—super fun and interactive 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family-friendly & great staff 📸 Tons of photo ops and memories Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area—this is a classic Texas experience you don’t want to miss!
Who doesn’t like an old vintage railroad train ride? The train cars (at least First Class) are air conditioned, the seats are old and squishy which only adds to the charm. Popcorn and beverages are available for a small purchase price, the staff is accommodating and friendly. It brings out the golden age of train travel.
Wowza!😯 This is great fun! It might be the best of the train rides I've had so far. 🙌🏻 The cars are beautifully it restored.👨🏻‍🔧 There is entertainment on board.🎭 Also food and drinks, and a bar! It's a long train ride! Unlike some of the smaller scenic railroads I've been on this train shares tracks with the commuter and freight trains. The price is reasonable, the food and drink on board is reasonably priced too. This is nice because when you get to the yesteryear of the stockades,🤠 reasonable pricing is the thing of the past....🤑😣🫢
I’ve done two different ride experiences with them, and both were cute. This is an activity that allows you to experience vintage trains, do something different, and enjoy the ride. They ride on tracks used by other working trains, so you may have to stop and wait sometimes - that’s not a big deal, though, because you’re still on the train! 🙂 I recommend the 45 minute ride for families with small children - it’s just enough time for the fun experience without becoming monotonous for them. If you want an activity that’s going to last about half a day, get the ride from Grapevine that drops you off at the Stockyards for a couple of hours. In general, it’s a cute thing to do with visiting family and friends.
Review: Grapevine Vintage Railroad to the Fort Worth Stockyards Our experience on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad was a memorable one, with both highs and a few small hiccups. We started off with about a 45-minute late departure, but the staff made up for it by offering free refreshments, which was a nice gesture. The train itself runs at a slow pace, and honestly, there isn’t too much scenery to see along the way. That said, my 3-year-old grandson—who is completely obsessed with trains—absolutely loved every second of it, which made the ride more than worth it. One of the highlights was the cast of characters, who stayed in role from the waiting area in Grapevine all the way through the ride. They interacted with guests and kept things fun and lighthearted, making the experience feel more immersive. Onboard, they even served beer and wine, which was a pleasant surprise. When we arrived at the Stockyards, the timing worked out perfectly—we got there just in time for the cattle roundup. Even though we left late, the railway gave us our full two hours at the Stockyards, which showed real thoughtfulness. The train ride back departed and arrived right on time. The only negative note came on the return trip, where a sewage odor from the restroom in our first-class car was noticeable. The crew did their best to manage it by spraying it down, which helped some, but it was still unpleasant. Thankfully, the cast continued entertaining us the whole way back, keeping the mood upbeat. A few tips for future riders: • Legroom is tight. If you’re tall, you’ll want to spread out or buy two rows and sit diagonally (cadi-cornered). Sitting 3–4 adults knee-to-knee in a row isn’t very comfortable. • Bring snacks and entertainment for little ones, but don’t overdo it—time goes by faster than you think. • You have the option of taking the train one way and Ubering back if that works better for your plans. Overall, for my group of four, it was a great experience. Despite some negative reviews I’ve seen online, I found it well worth the trip. It’s a fun outing for families, a group of friends, or even a date, and my grandson’s excitement made it especially memorable.
This was a Great experience to take a quick trip back in time. We felt like we re-lived the railroad days. Great for families and new experiences to explore. We would definantley do this agian. The have different excursions and themes.

What a beautiful lake. It's super busy in weekends. Week days are not so bad. Their are lots of covered areas for shade. I saw several boat ramps in just the area I was in. The wildlife was abundant. The sunset was gorgeous. The water was warm.
Peaceful. They have tables, grills. Take your food, drinks and enjoy the day. Water looks clean. Fresh air and water sound makes it feel peaceful. Best sunset views.
Nice area to have a picnic, but I couldn’t see anything else to do. I saw some people taking their own kayaks.
Such a beautiful place to watch the Sunrise and Sunset. Very special place it is a blessing
Clean...beautiful scenery and weather. So cool to watch the planes fly in from different directions. Biggest bonus is the wildlife. Watching them interact is so funny but also very insightful.
The lake is huge. Good place to visit during sunset and relaxing. Airplanes keep flying every few minutes and could be a good sight to see as well.
That's one HUGE and AMAZING lake!!! Pay a visit during the sunset, sit alone, listen to the sound of waves, gaze at the sunset and occasionally the sky that's always filled with flying planes... Observe your soul healing, and mental peace getting straight. And of course, a wonderful place to hang out with friends, to go boating or shore swim.
This has been one of the best surprises I’ve had when in Dallas. I went there for a run but many parts were flooded so I was not able to run all the way along the lake. Even so, the views, the atmosphere and the place is beautiful. Lots of people enjoying summer, having picnics and just contemplating. LOVE!
