To be fair the rooms are clean and the towels and sheets are perfectly clean, it is only those 2 observations. In regards to maintenance the desk lamp had a broken switch, the front door had a broken bolt and frame where the security chain used to be. The bathroom had a leaky hose by the toilet and the hose wall mount was not mounted it was falling off the wall. A little bit of maintenance is required. This is not an isolated thing because we had 2 rooms for the family and some of the above items were repeated in the other room as well.

On campus accommodation for students and faculty is top notched. There is high end gym facilities on campus as well - 50m swimming lanes and running circuits are all just at door step. Great for adults and kids. Skip the heritage village instead- waste of time (sorry :-/). Allocate enough time to visit the fort, the palace and the house of artisans. The palace is not air conditioned so it might be a bit challenging but it gives you a great sense of the past and how the people lived here, how Abu Dhabi evolved, etc. really loved it and wish had more time to explore every bit of it. The coffee preparation experience was a bit rushed and not overly pleasant - not like a Japanese tea ceremony hahaha. Some staff members might be giving conflicting information- but I guess it is just a matter of getting used to it in places like this where you have lots of international staff. Nevertheless everyone is very lovely and helpful. I would not invest much time in the cultural foundation. Once again - a must visit! Well prepared and delivered and beats many other attractions in the city.
