The dark, speakeasy vibe with the pianist playing softly in the background accomplishes the vibe the owners envisioned. The service was excellent with the server being very knowledgeable about the menu and staff working as a team. The food was okay with some fishes being superb and others being average. That may have been my fault, a Louisiana girl ordering begniets in Nashville! Overall it was definitely a cool experience. I would definitely be back for dinner rather than brunch on our next trip.

The line dance teachers were absolutely amazing & I spent half the time just whirling in circles trying to keep up with them & of course failing. The free lessons were great, so at least I came away knowing one line dance. Overall the night was a success! The food was ok, (I would echo a previous review here & say fries were pretty salty). But keep in mind you are paying for atmosphere, not fine dining. Our server was great & the food came out quickly. I also loved that the place has so much space to spread out & same goes for the dance floor. I would definitely go back & attempt to learn some more of the line dances!

If you are ever in Nashville then take a chance on this east Nashville venue. All kinds of genres are played here. The bartenders were very friendly which is a welcome change from some places I've been where the bitter old bartender does not have any personality at all. While there are many places to choose one the reason I liked this is the proximity to a couple other spots you can walk to like lakeside lounge next door. After the show ended they were fairly relaxed about letting you linger and didn't try to rush everyone out the door. Drink prices are what you would expect to pay maybe a tad higher.

Cool, expansive, wrap around bar as you enter, with a big stage. We attended a radio event where one band was finishing up, and one performer was about to go on. I had the combo enchiladas beef/chicken, with rice and beans. Every morsel of food we put in our mouths here was outstanding. The chef really knocks it out of the park. We were REALLY looking forward to coming here specifically on our trip to Nashville because as a queer couple this was recommended highly to us. We were under the impression that this was a woman centered (lesbian) queer bar, and the decor felt inlined with that, so we thought this would be the safest place we felt in Nashville. When we walk in around 1pm, the tables were all full so we decided to go to the bar to order drinks. When we’re at the bar the woman behind the bar completely ignores us and continues to talk to her customer at the bar. Okay no worries wasn’t trying to interrupt. Another woman yells from the back shell be there in a moment, we wait 5 minutes and then a man comes to help us out. My wife and I order a drink each, it was $30 for two amaretto sours. If I had known that those were going to be $15 each we probably would have gotten a speciality cocktail instead. By the time we received our drinks some tables had opened up and we were able to take a booth. The atmosphere and the decorations were very nice and fun, exactly what we were looking for ! A few groups came in shortly after we sat down and were immediately greeted and given menus, so I asked one of the servers for a menu as well (as we had planned for brunch here!) and was told to scan a QR code, okay again no problem. The two other tables were taken care of, able to order and get their food, while no one came back over to our table. Sure we could have gone to the bar to order again, but the bartender was serving the other tables so we felt if they could be served, why couldn’t we? We finished our drinks and sat for another 15 minutes before we decided to leave, as we were getting up and grabbing the glasses to take back to the bar, the bartender asked us if we were doing ok/needed anything. Then she says “he doesn’t have it” and asks for the drink back claiming he’s not gonna pay. She puts her hand out as if I’m some child and asks for the drink back. I said to her “you didn’t do anyone else this way” she said “what do u mean” in a very angry tone. I said ma’am every else here who ordered a drink u just gave it to them and they payed after now all of a sudden you need our money first before we can’t get our drinks , and mind you she didn’t give my friend what he ask for either she’s waiting on payment which she didn’t do anyone else like that as we were the only 2 blacks in the bar area. So I finally said you know what it’s all good just take my card it is no problem at all i’ll pay for it. She then takes my card snatched it from my hand winds back and threw it across the bar!!!! She also slams the drink in the trash can and began to yell at me saying get out get out now. I responded asking what is wrong with you why would you throw my debit card across the bar she claims “I will not be talked to that way” get out now. We were both extremely respectful to her to whole time and just question why were the only ones who had to pay before we were giving the drink unlike everyone else who she jus swiped there card after there drinks had been open and sipped and all before they paid. A little old man who works there then comes up to me saying she never has any problems so if you guys wanna bring trouble we can and call the police and told me to walk away from the bar. I told the man you have seen me come in here for years i’ve caused no problems in here. He still was telling me to move away from the bar that’s when I explained to him it was shoulder to shoulder and there was no room Id love to move but can’t. He said he doesn’t care and figure it out. At that point I said you know what Im leaving , they also were not gonna let me look for my card lucky a guy saw what happened brought it to me and asked if I was alright and asked what the bartenders problem was. I went somewhere else and had a better night somewhere else anyways! Lonnie’s hires racist staff and I will never be back. The bartender was an older later 40s-50s not the usual younger lady who works the bar. Regardless of what ever happens in service you never throw sometimes debit card !!! That’s common sense and who acts like that especially at 50 years old! She was clearly racist and got called out on it and threw a tantrum. Lonnie’s will never get another penny from me!
