However as it was summer holidays there was free face painting and kids characters walking about for photo opportunities so I guess this paid for itself. The water was so much fun. I'd say the temperature of the water was tepid- definitely not as cold as I expected it to be. The ground was colourful and a great fun experience for myself and my daughter. I couldn't wait to get stuck in as an adult! There's an ice cream hut and a small cafe. We got some hot chocolate when we were there which was tasty. I can imagine it's very popular in the summer. It has a great location; right opposite the sea front, and with Melrose Car Park right next door.

We had such an amazing time at Puxton Park! We went with a group of adults and kids, and there was so much to do that everyone was entertained. From the moment we arrived, the kids were off on an adventure. The range of things to do is incredible—the massive indoor play barn, the high ropes course, and the pedal go-karts were huge hits. Uphill nature reserve. I recently did the walk here which i recommend. I started at Folly lane in the village. There isnt a car park at this end but plenty of street parking or as i did i parked near the boat yard and walked back to folly lane. The path goes past a static caravan park and leads into a woodland. Its sign posted well. I went through a gate on the right and continued up through the woodland. Its not a very steep climb. leading me through the trees and then what looked like a lovely meadow scattered with bluebells. at the point theres an opening in the trees and i walked out onto the Uphill hill. Here the field is full of buttercup flowers. the bright yellow against the green hill is a picture. I could see the Uphill beacon in the distance so i headed for that. its a stone tower on the hill top. legend has it. it was used to spot invaders way back in history and they would light Beacon to warn the locals. i also heard the Beacon is one of many with line of sight that reach all the way to Glastonbury. From the Beacon i could see the Church of St Nicholas. So i headed there. This Church is very old and located just off the Cliff top. I left the Church and headed back towards the Beacon going past it keeping it to my left. and headed down the hill towards the new coastal path Route 33. This path here is smooth tarmac. When i reached the path i turned right heading down towards the old Boat yard. This path took me along side of the rocky cliffs to my right. Uphill marine lake on my left and the old Church high on the hill top. Theres benches around here to sit. A litle further on and i could hear the clanging of bells or wires from the boat yard. and found a little cafe called Uphill Warf Cafe Bar. Theres seating outside and rails to lock up bicycles. theres toilets here but only for customers. I found a public toilet just outside the entrance to the boat yard as you leave turn left towards the beach and its about 100 yards on the right. I found a small car park on the loose ground just past the cafe. and another small car park at the entrance to the boat yard. Theres always plenty of near by street parking in the village. A real nice walk offering stunning views and full of bits of History.

Took about 1 hr 20 with some kessing around at the top. Muddy after some rain so recommend wellies ot walking shoes. I really enjoyed exploring the hill fort at the top and taking in the views of both Weston piers. There is also something magical about the iron fort itself with the twisty trees and iron age storage pits. Apparently a lot of the pits had human remains in them. Believe the Belgae were once here before the Romans arrived! We were able to park for free outside of a car park.

Uphill nature reserve. I recently did the walk here which i recommend. I started at Folly lane in the village. There isnt a car park at this end but plenty of street parking or as i did i parked near the boat yard and walked back to folly lane. The path goes past a static caravan park and leads into a woodland. Its sign posted well. I went through a gate on the right and continued up through the woodland. Its not a very steep climb. leading me through the trees and then what looked like a lovely meadow scattered with bluebells. at the point theres an opening in the trees and i walked out onto the Uphill hill. Here the field is full of buttercup flowers. the bright yellow against the green hill is a picture. I could see the Uphill beacon in the distance so i headed for that. its a stone tower on the hill top. legend has it. it was used to spot invaders way back in history and they would light Beacon to warn the locals. i also heard the Beacon is one of many with line of sight that reach all the way to Glastonbury. From the Beacon i could see the Church of St Nicholas. So i headed there. This Church is very old and located just off the Cliff top. I left the Church and headed back towards the Beacon going past it keeping it to my left. and headed down the hill towards the new coastal path Route 33. This path here is smooth tarmac. When i reached the path i turned right heading down towards the old Boat yard. This path took me along side of the rocky cliffs to my right. Uphill marine lake on my left and the old Church high on the hill top. Theres benches around here to sit. A litle further on and i could hear the clanging of bells or wires from the boat yard. and found a little cafe called Uphill Warf Cafe Bar. Theres seating outside and rails to lock up bicycles. theres toilets here but only for customers. I found a public toilet just outside the entrance to the boat yard as you leave turn left towards the beach and its about 100 yards on the right. I found a small car park on the loose ground just past the cafe. and another small car park at the entrance to the boat yard. Theres always plenty of near by street parking in the village. A real nice walk offering stunning views and full of bits of History.

They had stopped taking bookings but after 10 weeks they were bored and now have 2-3 of the five rooms occupied, minimum two nights and, with our first night, we were the only guests as others had checked out. Mike did apologise whilst we eat when he said he hope he didn't mind the recent news of "the sexism diseases having no cure" (eek!) I recommend the fried egg, perfectly cooked, one of the best ever. No local independent ales at the pub next door alas. The decor was nice but the rooms and the sign need a lick of paint and repairing. The mattress was thin, it was like sleeping on a cushioned wire mat Happy to try there again. Mike has declining eye sight so don't delay.

Big by London standards, small by Countryside standards. Kept nice and clean and for the price got 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a kitchen/diner. Slept well and got a decent shower. Would have given 5 stars, but considering the bathroom had a bizarre movement sensor that turned the light out mid-shower 😂 meaning showering in the dark. Also the outside of the building was a bit shabby. Other than that I was quite happy to stay here. Plenty of walks along the beach. Not far for town centre and the pier. Plenty of good quality tea and coffee, good kitchen/dining room area. Access to balcony was through the main double bedroom. Great view of the pier & seafront and in the early evening we sat outside drinking tea and watching the sea come in which was a first at Weston for us. Comfortable outdoor table and chairs. Informed by text when room was ready and given access codes. There is a balcony next door and if people were using it you would meet them as the partition isn’t very high this wouldn’t bother us. Apartment was exceptionally clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Our only issue with the apartment was that there was no living area. We had a 3 bed with a bathroom and kitchen/diner. It did miss the sofa... especially after a long day out. Apart from that though it was wonderful. It was well decorated, clean and it was quiet. No lift, so if your likely to struggle with suitcases or pushchairs it may not be the place for you.

Very well presented holiday accomodation with a smartly decorated interior that was very clean. The apartment was reasonably clean, but things needed washing before use. Our apartment didn't have a lounge, so nowhere to relax, apart from the bedrooms, and minimal kitchen ware.
