Ordered a chicken wrap. I literally took the chicken out and fed it to the dog — threw the rest away. It was disgusting. The lettuce looked like it was 5 days old. It was gooey and slimy. The chicken, the wrap, and what was remaining of the lettuce was extremely soggy. This is the worst food I’ve ever ordered… The chicken was probably fine, but was coated in that lettuce. But I literally just threw it all out (our puppy enjoyed the chicken… but he’s a dog LOL) because it was disgusting.

Wings Over Madison absolutely blew me away! The chicken wings were some of the best I’ve ever had – perfectly cooked, juicy inside with just the right amount of crisp on the outside, and the flavors were spot on. You can tell they really care about quality here. On top of that, the service was excellent – fast, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. It’s rare to find a place that nails both food and service like this. I’ll definitely be coming back again (and again)!

This place is amazing. I don't eat wings so I never thought I'd like it. They have tenders , wraps and tender sandwiches and 12 sauces. The first night we ordered a 8 piece honey bbq, loaded tender sandwich, and two tender sandwich with Cajun fries. They charged us for Ranch but so worth it. Every bite was fresh and we got a free drink for the wait. The next night our nonnos pasta was so bad we ordered here again the tender sandwiches with Carolina gold 🥇. Love it here can't wait to try everything on the menu.

This place was a staple when I was in college I go back 2 madison many times a year for shows concerts games etc and will always get wings over late nite .everytime I'm back . I got a letter attached 2 my bag last nite stating they apologized for slipping . I don't know what has happened . Every time I've gone there . Rather it he High drunk or sober as an adult as a student any time . It's been 10 out of 10 like legit no lie im talking 100s of visits over the years I don't have 1 bad thing 2 say and can't see myself ever saying anything bad . I used to go to Wings Over Madison years ago and it was sooo good. Tried a few years back and was disappointed. Thought I’d give it another go and had a carry out of tenders and wings. There was little sauce on the wings the skin was flabby and meat pretty dry. It was really hard to chew. The tenders were also very dry and totally unseasoned. Tossed a $50 order. Never again.

Had been hearing about this place in the Madison foodie group and decided to stop. BEST wings ever! We tried the dry rub with the house made blue cheese. Of course we had to spice it up with some buffalo sauce! 10/10. I’m usually not much of a wing person. We also ordered the onion ring and Cole slaw (not pictured) yummmmmmm.. I was excited to try their wings, there's so many good reviews..Here's the thing about good reviews in Wisconsin, don't trust them. Most people in this state haven't ventured outside of a 20 mile radius, that's apparent here. Your sauce is unlike any buffalo sauce I've ever had, and not in a good way.
From the dry rub to your buffalo they both had a lingering sweet taste and smell along with some kind of floral note. Let me help you with a better sauce recipe.
Buffalo sauce - melt some butter, put garlic in it and warm on low until it's fragrant, remove from heat. Add Frank's, dash of celery salt and hit it with an immersion blender until bright orange and emulsified. If you want a touch of sweet then add honey but not too much.
Blue cheese sauce - take 3/4 of your blue cheese, add buttermilk, add chives, cream, mayo, blend on low until smooth. Crumble your remaining blue cheese in and stir. Salt to taste. Don't you dare sweeten this.
Ranch - hidden valley powder seasoning, buttermilk, sour cream, mayo, whisk together.
More issues: your men's restroom soap dispenser was out of soap so you have patrons and your cook spreading God knows what. The soap dispenser is your responsibility, this can make your patrons sick.
People of Wisconsin, try venturing out a bit more so you have some kind of general idea about how certain foods are supposed to taste.

I have probably had their wings 100 times and for years said they had the best ones in a 50 mile radius. The last several times I have not been impressed. Wings get smaller every time along with the price going up. They are cooked so long that they are dried out. The last three or four times I have said i'm not going back. Yesterday was the last time I will go there unless there is a function. I would have gave 1 star but their blue cheese and dry rub pub chips are still good. Wings are not good and the price is outrageous. Most places have all-you-can-eat for less money and you only get a small handful of dried out wings here. I think they are living on a reputation.

The boneless wings are incredibly crunchy and sooo good! We tried Caribbean jerk and Korean BBQ (sauce on side). Korean BBQ- best flavors!
Cheese curds. Wow that sauce was delish!
Southwest Burger- grilled perfectly medium, so much flavor in the burger alone- toppings were added bonus.
House salad with ranch- the best salad toppings and the ranch is excellent.

A couple of my friends and I stopped in for a late dinner as we were passing through the area. I got the Korean rice bowl and a side of cheese curds. My food was delicious. The rice bowl was bursting with flavor and everything in it was cooked to perfection. The cheese curds were decent, but the chimichurri ranch dressing was what really made them amazing. We dined in on a Monday evening and wasn’t expecting for this place to be so busy and noisy. Nothing bad about that necessarily, it just wasn’t what we were expecting on a weekday evening. Seems like a great hangout spot for college students, as that was who was mostly there. This just made for a very occupied server resulting in less attention to our needs and longer wait times. My overall take on the place is still a positive one. Cute restaurant and a decent sized one, at that.

I was frequent business traveler this summer. I stayed at the Embassy Suites around the corner. This was my go to spot 1-2 times each week. The food was delicious and in summer time I really enjoyed the Strawberry tart beer and the pretzel board appetizer. Once summer was over I enjoyed the German Pilsner since I’m not much of an IPA drinker. I highly recommend you order the full size Liter since you’re likely to order more than one pint. I always had friendly hosts and servers. Once college started there were a couple servers that were less than par but I took it in stride as we all were new at our jobs at one point. I dined on the patio garden area twice. I brought my English Cream Golden once and he really loved it too! I highly recommend this place.

We headed here with the intention of having lunch before the beer festival and take their comp bus.
So we had lunch here around 11am ish and I had their Baja Fish Tacos. I added an extra 1 for a 3 pack and what a great call I made! They were fresh and delicious! I passed on the beans and some of the rice but the salsas they provided were straight fire!
Time for the shuttle after lunch but whoops, too crowded! So we did a cab and that was fine.
Our server was friendly and did forget a few things but they were crowded but y'all still get a 5 star rating.
We'd def come back next time we are in the Capitol city.

I tried the Beer-Braised Salmon at The Great Dane in Madison, and it blew me away. The salmon was perfectly seared — tender and full of flavor — and the Peck’s Pilsner cream sauce tied everything together beautifully. We were in Madison for the day only for work and wanted to try a local place - Alchemy not only fit the bill for local, helped us discover a new funky area away from the capitol building worth visiting, and we had a delicious lunch. Put this on your must visit list!
We had read the reviews so had an idea of what to order, but we had the sweetest waitress and she was really helpful as well. Service was very quick, incredibly attentive. Food came very quickly. I took the interior photos at the end of our meal and after the lunch crowd had left, but it was packed when we first sat down.
Boho vibe, lots of seating indoors and outside blocked off patio, and a bar area that looked like it could be fun at night.
We ordered the sweet potato fries to start. Neither my husband nor I are big sweet potato fans, so we were completely blown away by how tasty these were and how much the flavor was enhanced by dipping them into the blackberry jam - we would go back for this combo alone! Do yourself a favor and make sure you try these! Both of the side sauces are delicious:) For our main meal, we had the Maíz salad, tomato bisque and The House Boat grilled chicken sandwich. Everything was incredibly fresh and packed with unique flavors. Just a head’s up, the Maíz salad has a red pepper kick, for those of us that are wimps when it comes to spicy food - it will make your nose run! The tomato bisque was as good as any I’ve had anywhere… delicious and well priced! My husband enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich and ordered the deviled egg potato salad as his side, which was a good combo and as well packed with flavor! We are definitely looking forward to returning to try some other things that looked fantastic on the menu. We ended up taking home enough leftovers that we had a full meal for the next day.
It is street parking and that can be a little bit tricky, but totally worth having to circle once or twice. This place has a casual, boho vibe with a creative menu. We definitely will be returning!

The food here was incredible! We got the stuffed grilled cheese with the veggie soup and the coconut curry. Both were full of flavor and perfect for a chilly evening. No usually the type to leave a negative review but this place has left a terrible taste in my mouth. I'd say it was the food but you'd have to actually get the food to taste it which I did not. This location has given me the run around for weeks regarding a refund for food that never arrived. No help from corporate and you are either left on hold indefinitely or they ignore your calls OR have you call back multiple times a day saying the manager will be here later. And after you've spent all day calling at the specific times they tell you to do they finally say "oh the manager is off today".
And this is not the end of the horrible experience. If I could leave a negative star review I would.

We first sat down in the bar to wait for a table. The bar tender ignored us for about 5 minutes.
Its incredibly loud inside so if weather permits sit outside if u want to hear the people you are having dinner with.

Great post game spot for food and Drinks on a less busy section of town. They features tons of great shareable and sandwiches. The cheese curds were incredible, melt in your mouth and even some great cheese pulls. The Memphis Tots were perfectly seasoned with a great dipping sauce. Typsy Cow is a fantastic spot located right next to the Capitol building. The atmosphere is super nice and cozy, and they offer outdoor seating, which is where I chose to sit — perfect for enjoying the view and people-watching.
The menu has a wide variety of options, especially if you’re a burger lover. They even had a lamb burger! I went with the mushroom burger and fries, and it was absolutely delicious. HOWEVER! Shelby was incredible. Walked me and my group through the entire process of how they raise the buffalo for their boneless wings, harvesting season (the wings grow back), how they milk them for their sauces, and the massive buffalo aviary where they're all kept. I had one of the worst dining experiences at this location yesterday. My friend and I walked in and had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was nearly empty and there were plenty of open tables. The staff seemed indifferent and unmotivated. Went here on a Sunday, host was semi friendly, she did grab the food quickly. We all got wraps to go. Everyone else got sidewinder fries, i got a side salad. Wraps were well packed and fresh. All of them tasted great! Fries were crispy and hot. My side house salad was fresh. The extra dressing we asked for was all accounted for. Parking was a little tricky but wasnt bad. We will be back!

If you love bottomless mimosas, this is the place to go. The brunch menu is a great accompaniment. All interesting but still comfortable choices. Great service and very vibrant wall art.
Our favorite things to start off with are the pretzel appetizer and the Rip Rip chicken. We personally prefer garlic parmesan. the pretzels are fresh, soft, and hot, while the Rip Rip fried chicken thigh bits are juicy and delicious.
We stopped in for Fathers day and ordered chimichurri steak and eggs. It was very disappointing, the eggs were covered in oil and the steak was over done. We let our server know and they were so kind and exchanged our dish for something else. Also they didn’t charge us for either of the dishes and also gave us one of drinks on the house. We have never had a problem there before that and they were very accommodating when we did.
The replacement dish(ham, egg and cheese panini) was perfect.
Also their Nashville chicken sandwich is delicious and juicy.

We were visiting from Colorado and walked here from our hotel. We had the bruchetta which was delicious. I had a flight of beers. They had a great variety. We ate the turkey melt and the Cuban sandwiches and they were great. The best part was the service! From the hostess to our bar tenders, all were super friendly and very attentive. I was visiting from out of state and had to give this place a try because of the awesome reviews and let me tell you— I am so glad I did! The staff were really sweet and recommended the fried chicken and fried catfish- I’ve never had fried catfish so that’s what I went with. The catfish was delicious! Very crispy!! I also ordered the Mac n Cheese and collard greens— overall the food was AMAZING! So flavorful and it all went so well together, there were no leftovers. When in Madison stop by Marie’s Soul Food!!!

First Time at Marie’s Soul Food – Worth the Trip from Illinois!
I visited Madison from Illinois and decided to try Marie’s Soul Food for the first time. I ordered the pork chop meal with collard greens, mac & cheese, and yams, and every bite was pure comfort.
The pork chop was tender, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The collard greens had just the right amount of seasoning and a nice kick of flavor. The mac & cheese was creamy, cheesy, and exactly what I was hoping for. And the yams? Sweet, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and the service was warm and friendly. You can tell the food here is made with love. Definitely a must-try when in Madison. I’ll be back!

I didn’t go directly into the restaurant, but I did order from Uber eats arrived on time. Reviews were good and I thought everything would be great. Turns out everything was practically terrible. The fried pork chop and chicken was still red and Undercooked and soggy Not even crispy! I paid $.79 for ranch packets that were offbrand and tasted like literal mayonnaise! Dispite that all the Food literally did not have no flavor or seasoning! . The only thing worth having was the collard greens. Mac and cheese was like shiny and slimey didn’t seem baked at all tasted like it can from the microwave just not good potatoes salad was ok! 2/10 only because the only thing Edible was the greens! Worst soul food I ever had in my 29 years of life traveling all over the entire US and abroad! corn bread was definitely from a box as well no flavor and DRY like a Popeyes biscuit. If this is what soul food is in Wisconsin I feel so bad for yall! Never will try any sort of soul food in this state again! Literally worst ever experience

The only restaurant in Madison I could never get tired of. My favorite meal is the 2 piece catfish with greens and mac and cheese as my sides. The catfish is fried perfectly, the greens are very flavorful with a slight kick. The ribs are also one of my favorites. They’re so tender they literally fall off the bone when you bite them. No matter what I order I’m never disappointed. The atmosphere is chill and welcoming. Customer service is always remarkable.
