The staff was very nice and the cabin was clean. The beds were comfy and it was mostly what we expected. We were thinking the cabins would be a little more secluded but you are right on top of your neighbors at this city park. The primitive campers were loud but did quite down after 10. The mini cabins share a porta potty, but at least its a larger ADA compliant one. The bathhouse is very small for the number of sites they have. The women's has 3 showers and 2 toilets and the men's just has one toilet and 2 showers. I got clean, but it was not the best laid out space for sure. It would help a lot to have shelves or somewhere to place things inside and outside the shower stalls. The lake is pretty small; it will take 30 mins to make it all the way around by kayak. It is great they do kayak rentals for those who don't have their own and the price was affordable. We did hike some trails while there and it was fun but we added on an extra 5 miles or so when we took a wrong turn so having the trails clearly marked would help a lot with that. Would be a great day trip but not really a destination if you are looking for a more secluded camping adventure.

My husband enjoyed the pizza, I could not eat much due to the before mentioned issue with the toppings. Other tables which arrived after us and left before us- seemingly enjoying their food. The silver lining was that we sat on the balcony for so long, we were able to enjoy the sunset. We ended up paying the bill around 7:30 pm. Ultimately, the view was amazing and I do think that we just happened to have an 'off' experience. The beauty and history of hotel itself, along with the views, was worth the waiting.

You may want to see the passion play that takes place there live. Don’t forget to get the tickets if you’re in town and interested! We dropped in to see if we could get a cheese board to go because we wanted to drive out to a winery and take a snack. My husband and I each wanted something a little different and they were very sweet about accommodating our request. The gates were locked. There were a couple of planes sitting out in a field. I didn't see much of anything else. There are static displays of several well known aircraft on site. They have an American F105 Thunderchief and a Russian Mig from the Vietnam era as well as several other aircraft. A small museum, lots of interesting history and displays for aviation enthusiasts. The lady I spoke with was very friendly and assured me that the website was safe. We did book for a Wed. we tried to reschedule and it was possible. We just picked a bad week. We had a tour of the aviation museum of pictures and items. Very educational. The simulator was not up and running, which was what my boys looked forward to the most. I think it was probably awesome when it was maintained or when the musical art instruments were first put in. But we just went and the only thing you can actually play are some of the wind chimes (the ones that aren't missing or broken, that is). ALL of the other instruments seem to require something to hit them with and there are no drum sticks there anymore. There are hooks where you can tell the percussion sticks used to be, but they're gone. In other words, not really anything to do here except look at the sculptures? Kind of a disappointment for the kids I brought because this is such a cool concept and it looks like the older pictures people posted, the ones with all the colorful art on the trees, are old photos because none of that stuff was even there when we just went. It's too bad all the money Eureka Springs receives as a tourist town that they wouldn't simply maintain this music park. (Or maybe it's not a public park? Well, whoever owns it then it's too bad it's not maintained!) There is a public bathroom but NO light inside. So definitely go when it's light outside so you can get a little smidge of light coming through the cracks. Can the city not at least replace the lightbulb?! A very small gravel parking lot that can only fit a few cars. Free parking! No buses, campers, RVs or other trailers, allowed, and they wouldn't fit anyway because the lot is so small.

Now we are sitting and waiting for our appointment to begin. I guess they don't have a shower room where you can take a relaxing shower and change into a fluffy robe before your service. That's too bad. Or at least, if they do offer that amenity, we were not offered an opportunity to enjoy a shower or a fluffy road before a service. The staff are pretty matter of fact in their demeanor and dressed very casually in blue jeans, leggings, t-shirts, etc. The lavender smell when you walk into this spa is amazing in my opinion. The furniture and decor is a bit shabby and dated in my opinion. I really liked the clever use of a giant crystal in lieu of logs in the fireplace. I love all of the beautiful details in the architecture of the old building. I thought the choice of loud rock music was odd for a spa lobby. With the lavender in the air, I would have thought maybe they would be playing spa relaxation music. The noisy music is a bit jarring rather than relaxing or soothing, in my opinion. The lobby has lots of candles and cosmetics and other items for sale. It's nice that you can kind of browse around while you're waiting for your appointment. I think there is also an area with tea and water to drink. None of the staff invited us to have a drink though, so I feel a little hesitant to go over and check out the drink area. As of now, I think I would probably update my rating to 3 stars. I would give five stars for the customer service I received from Kimberly and two stars for the ambiance and customer service I've received in the lobby so far. Hopefully the services we receive will be great though! We enjoyed the reflexology massage and both of our therapists were very friendly. My therapist, lexi, carefully explained what to expect and what to do and I thought she did a nice job on the massage. I'm glad that I got the massage because I've never experienced a reflexology massage before. July/August, 2022 After spending lots of time reviewing the website for spas in Eureka Springs, I decided to book 4 spa treatments at New Moon Spa, because it seemed to have the best amenities in town. I called yesterday, July 31st, during regular business hours to book my appointment for my first wedding anniversary next month. A person answered the phone. I said I was calling to book some spa treatments for the weekend of September 25th. The person asked my name and phone number. The person promised to call me back later. I still have not received a call back. I noticed some negative reviews for the New Moon Spa. I wanted to give the spa a chance anyway. I was on waitlists in 3 counties when my lease ended. FIVE sheriff cars with deputies arrived & they beat on my door to throw me & my possessions out. I panicked, & took all the pills to end it. I'm now facing 6 years in prison & a $10,000 fine. They had filed a false affidavit after court, claiming I said I'd "burn my house down to commit suicide", a 1st degree felony terroristic threat. I was pulled over 3 months later for a broken headlight & learned about this. I spent 22 hours in jail, & most of the month's income to get out. Uber's background check company reported the charge to them, & they deactivated me until it's over. My car was eventually repossessed. When I went to get my car & dog after hospital they said "you can't be here without police", but DIDN'T say it was because they had filed an affidavit claiming this lie. It was early February, & I drove Uber riders for 3 more months unaware there was a warrant. I could have had riders in my car when stopped for the broken headlight & arrested, stranding riders somewhere. Suzie was likely counting on it. If I took a 2 year "diversion offer" they were hoping I would from my first hearing to this day, I couldn't petition to get it off my record for ANOTHER year, & wouldn't be able to work for Uber again for 3 more years, IF it goes off my record. Five hearings later, they're still hoping I take the offer. It's pure abuse of the justice system by people with the wealth, lawyers & connections to do it. I'm dealing with a very busy public defender. I've said all along I want my day in court to clear my name, restore my record & try to get on with my life. It's not fair that they can do this to someone with no truth behind the accusation. It's a felony to lie to law enforcement. It has ruined my life as I knew it. They may take away my freedom if I'm convicted. They can't take away my integrity or my First Amendment right to talk about it, although their store review has issues staying on Maps. Bullies don't like opposition or exposure. Consider which one to spend your money supporting. It's not about how fancy & big the store is. It's not about the creation of a 501(c)3 & what kind of philanthropic reputation that can afford, using a Christian platform to do it. It's certainly not about where to then spend even more money buying their coffee. It's about integrity, morals & ethics that Good Shepherd has, & the other store's owners do not. Spend based on that criteria. Update: March 2025, new public defender found the accusation to police from Suzie was said to be based on a text. We've learned that was untrue. Also, ESPD misquoted the ex-manager who they called, recorded on body cam which my attorney got & I looked at. I finally got a chance to check out this museum of Eurekan art and let me tell you it did not disappoint!
