Came across BonBons and so glad we went in. I always love places that provide jacket potato's, sandwiches, toasties and a choice of cake etc. The service was amazing so polite and chatty with us. We had chicken sweet Chilli panini and came with side of crisps and salad. When I say salad it isn't just what looks like a load of leaves and grass added to your plate. It included lettuce, tomato, Cucumber and peppers (this is a salad 🙌) I enjoyed it and wanted more. We didn't have any other food but looking around the afternoon tea looked super cute and the waffles and sandwiches too. We skipped past the massive cakes on offer, would have them all and thought about them all night. I would recommend this place and will come again.

Had the good fortune to visit unplanned today with my hubbie for Saturday lunch. What a relaxing treat it was too. We were seated in the bar area on comfy leather sofa chairs, There was also further separate room with seating internally and also externally to the front of the cafe. lovely attentive staff but not intrusive which added to the relaxing atmosphere and happy vibe. Baristo area was lit with twinkle lights which is a nice touch. Food resonabley priced with good portion sizes, and varied menu choices. I had the Club sandwich and my hubby had the Spanish eggs benadict with halopenos and chorizo, definitely recommend. It was lovely to chat over lunch. Will definitely be calling again. The menu looked interesting and the place clean and inviting. Meatball baguette, side salad and chips and a Banana milkshake for my daughter and for a first try of a chimichanga. I know the food was freshly made on site because he brought me the ingredients to set our mind at rest. He knew the menu inside and out. He was fantastic. As for cleanliness it's a 10. Value I think was brilliant. I would highly recommend. We also looked at the tables around us and they seemed equally as impressed. At 12 noon it filled up quickly so if you want lunch get there promptly. Two delighted customers.

Prices have gone up (understandably) however the lunch quality is poor and not value for money. This cheese sandwich really showed the lack of care being taken in the kitchen. Milkshake was weirdly warm considering it was made with ice cream - it was more like melted ice cream than a nice blended milkshake. The place feels dirty too - there is a lot of fruit flies (about 10 just around my table). These were landing on our food and ended our stay early - one or two is understandable but there was far too many for this to be anything other than poor cleaning. It used to be difficult to get a seat in here but it has been notably quiet the last few visits - maybe a reflection of the issues that seem to have piled up here. This was my favourite place to go in Preston because of its original vibe, amazing food and service. It still retains a lot of that charm however the food seems lower quality for money. The empanadas used to be big, covered in sugar and really flavoursome. They have now been replaced by risoles which are a quarter of the size and not as tasty. I understand budget cuts have had to be made but I wish they could’ve retained the original menu items and simply increased the price. As many products as they can are sourced from the surrounding market stalls and local area and this shows in the quality of the food that is served. I had a jacket with cheese and beans which came with a lovely little side salad and coleslaw. The dressing that came on the salad was the chefs own secret recipe and tasted amazing. Nice to have a jacket cooked just right too. Other half had a large breakfast which he thoroughly enjoyed, the sausages were nice and juicy, the grilled tomato was cooked through and you get a good wedge of toast with it. What an excellent place. The cafe was quite busy when we first got there, which is a good sign. We managed to get a table easily. The different flavours of ice cream is incredible. The desserts menu is amazing. I had the strawberry delight and you can chose which the three scoops of ice cream you want. My partner had the knickerbocker glory again with three scoops of his choice of ice cream. Both came with loads of fruit. Strawberries for me, strawberry sauce, crispy fan wafer and a biscuit curl. Lime green seating outside. Inside is nice, cosy & calm. It was lunch time and I didn’t fancy the usual formula cafes. Anyway, went in and stared at the menu boards on the wall when it was politely suggested I find a table and someone will take my order. My husband had the breakfast wrap and said that it wasn’t worth it and that the ingredients tasted cheap (not tasty overall) the two iced coffees was made with icecream (some icecream isn’t vegitarian) and i am , we wasn’t made aware it was going to be made with ice-cream , a usual ice latte would have been better. The women that worked there was very friendly and the younger one was the one trying to rectify things and seemed the most switched on. They was also closing and so the hoovering and moving of tables etc didn’t make for a nice atmosphere, I’d rather them have just said they was closing and couldn’t do it as nothing seemed to be going well. My husband and I wouldn’t recommend this ( might be better for other food and not on a bank holiday but it did seem cheap ingredients was used. Food is reasonably priced and the portions are amazing .. always piping hot . The omelette is the size of your head if not bigger and plenty of fillings. The drinks come with a cute biscuit and plenty of cream and marshmallows on the hot choc. The staff are super nice and tables inside and out . The ones outside have heaters so you're definitely not cold even though it might be miserable weather . You're kept toasty as warm. Lunch was rather nice, we took a variety of options and nobody complained. It is simple food which you probably already prepare at home. Nothing extraordinary but tasted good and was filling. However, the experience was let down by the service flow. Despite seeing at least ten staff members on the floor, it felt disjointed as the staff seemed more focused on cleaning and tidying behind the bar. While we were welcomed warmly and seated by a lovely lady upon arrival, there was a clear lack of table focus. We repeatedly had to seek out staff attention: we went to the bar to ask to order (and were told it was table service), had to ask to order dessert and then for our main plates to be cleared as desserts arrived. We also noticed the water bottles were filthy, they are notoriously hard to clean being the style they are, without proper cleaning they were full of bits and grime.
