This was our first time visiting this cafe and it was enjoyable. Good home cooked style food, we both had a roast dinner, one beef and one chicken (the chicken meal doesn't come with Yorkshire pudding unless you request it), both big plates full but more importantly tasted good. Very popular with the local elderly which is always a good sign and was very busy when we arrived (pics taken when it quietened down). We purchased scones to go and they were excellent too. Good prices, good food and good service.

We were not disappointed. The portions were generous, the price was reasonable, and everything was well cooked. Just right. The owner made us feel at home. She learned that we were staying in Blackpool to watch the World Matchplay of darts. She mentioned that a former player , Wes Newton, sometimes eats here — he would never remember us but we met him years ago at the Desert Classic. All I can say is that if Wes eats here, it is all the more reason to trust this cafe. My only regret was that we left the area the next day and couldn’t return.

We could tell it was popular as there were quite a few people seated inside and out, even though the outlet was very quiet. Really lovely food. We were all hungry and craving a good old English breakfast. We were certainly not disappointed.and the toast was to die for. Well cooked food. Happy friendly staff. Lovely clean cafe. Just across the road from the market entrance, it looked small and unassuming on the outside, but inside it was homely and inviting, with comfortable chairs and some lovely decorative plaques and pictures of bygone Fleetwood on the walls. It was also very clean. The lady who served me (Carol I believe her name is) was so cheerful, chatty and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for her. The café is obviously a favourite with locals, who go there regularly for lunch (always a good sign!). The extensive menu (displayed under glass on the tables) includes breakfasts, sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes, and good old-fashioned cooked dinners. They also do pensioners' specials. I ordered the liver and onions with potatoes and veg. It was cooked to perfection, with ample portions. Both food and plate were hot. No fewer than six different vegetables on the plate, and lovely rich gravy. The pot of tea was nice and hot. They also do a great selection of traditional puddings and ice-cream. Tried their homemade apple crumble with custard, and it was really good! Delicious strong coffee to finish. Payment was cash only. At £15.10 for the entire meal, including drinks, it was excellent value for money. If you're looking for good traditional homemade food and warm, friendly hospitality, you can't go wrong here. I pointed out that actually, the other people in the queue had also already ordered and were in the same position as me, which seemed to infuriate him further. We were then told to put our food on the bin to prepare it (with the sauce) which I pointed out was not the most hygienic and that we’d only be a minute and we were not blocking anyone. He said he didn’t care and kept picking up our food and thrusting the tray at us aggressively. I had my young children with me who were getting distressed at the way this man spoke to me, so I just moved off. In all of this items were also missing from our order, but at this point I get threatened and wanted to leave. I did then hear him speak to the customers behind us in a similar manner when they said they didn’t think his attitude was called for, he then got into an argument with them and ended up refunding their money (but not ours). Truly awful staff and with very basic, poor to low average food quality and minimal facilities I would not advise anyone only visit.

We were not disappointed. My partner and I had full English breakfasts, which to me were as close to perfect as possible without cooking it myself. The young man who took our order was very polite and patient as we do take forever to decide. He kept coming back to check on us being ready to order. We bought ice creams and crabbing gear from the ice cream kiosk and hot food from the food kiosk. Both kiosks serving great quality and reasonable prices. The rum and raisin ice cream is to die for 😍 The crabbing kit provided all we needed and the staff members (two ladies) were more than happy to instruct us how to use it. Was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness of the place (saw plenty of hand washing going on) and the pleasantness off the staff - the seasonal teen staff that work there are super personable, friendly and professional also. There’s lots of room at the Boating Lake when crabbing and nearby bins to dispose of your rubbish plus toilets facilities also. Fabulous atmosphere with all the families that we saw having a wonderful time. We met a family from Manchester and ended up having a bit of a competition with them on who could catch the most - the kids were loving it 😅 Would highly recommend anyone to come here for a day out 😊 When finished there, head for a walk down the beach which is ideally located just over the bridge behind. As the toilets appeared locked 15 minutes before closing time, a member of staff went to get a key. Whilst I was waiting I noticed they weren’t actually locked and the gate was just closed as the cleaner was in there mopping the floors. I let myself into the toilets as I am heavily pregnant and was under the impression it was ok to use them as a member of staff was getting the key for me. I was immediately confronted by the cleaner who tried to shove me out and started shouting in my face that I was unable to use the toilets “NO NO NO! NO ONE IS COMING IN THESE TOILETS” absolutely stunned I mentioned the fact a staff member was getting the key and the cleaners response was to make out I was lying and told me that they weren’t. She was extremely intimidating, stood there mop in hand acting aggressively and did not once try to explain the reason why I couldn’t use the toilet was because she didn’t have the appropriate wet floor signage. I have never been so shocked to be spoken to the way I was without any attempt to explain in a calm and friendly manner, if she had I would’ve left calmly and got on with the rest of my day stress free. After this awful experience I then called the number provided to make a complaint only for the call to be answered by the cleaner who turns out to be the owner. It was only on this call I was told the reason I couldn’t use the toilets was due to public liability and the floors being wet, again with a complete lack of respect and customer care and then I was hung up on. I decided to take my complaint to the Facebook page, where the owner responded with complete lies about her conduct and tried to make me out to be the aggressor, also lied about being a volunteer when she told me she was the owner, then ended up blocking me and my partner from commenting further. I think that says it all. There was not once an attempt from this woman to treat her paying customers with respect and when questioned about her behaviour she acted aggressively, lied to try and cover her own back and prevented us from being able to make a valid complaint. I am a respectful woman who can understand why there might be certain reasons I am refused things and all it would’ve taken was for her to say no politely, explained clearly and maybe even directed me to the nearest public toilet, however when I am spoken to aggressively and made to feel intimidated I do not respond well and will give back what I receive especially when heavily pregnant. This woman single handedly ruined what was a lovely family day out and caused me extreme stress and anxiety. I will not be returning to Fleetwood let alone Dollys and definitely do not recommend attending this business.

Was told "We're full at the moment" by staff. Felt as though all the other customers were staring at me when I went in (probably weren't but felt like it).
