This is a short drive outside the Medina walls and very much worth it. The dedication of the artists is realized here and you can see them making incredible art in every step of the process. It was a hidden away Riad restored into palacial quality. My room was possibly the smaller of the rooms but was enormous and such decor and attention to detail. My stay was spectacular. The owners shared the history of the place and organised taxis and restaurant bookings during the stay. The gentleman who served breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a diamond! We were lead here by a local named Hischam who grew up in our hometown of NZ and befriended us. I can't speak for the actual quality of these things but any place that uses such dishonest tactics to try and drum up a profit are the worst kind of scum in the world. Worse than the massive amount money we lost was the realisation that the friendship and connection we formed with these people was all just to sell us some crappy rugs. The whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth and unfortunately soured my opinion of Morocco as a whole.
