Ideally, you get a spot in the day when the tour groups are not around, but you don't have to queue to get tickets or go in, and you can wander around the courtyard and admire the beautiful carving and archways. Ce bar restaurant est une institution. Il y a aussi des cours de cuisine et des animations musicales en soirée. Il faut faire l'effort de grimper sur les terrasses pour un repas avec une belle vue sur la medina. Le plat le plus connu est le hamburger de chameau. Having visited another one of their locations, we decided to go there again and this time try something more traditional. The setting is really nice, and service is great. They also had live music, which wasn't too loud and made for an even nicer experience.
We ordered the avocado citrus salad, which was well dressed and had a lot of avocado. We also ordered their sweet potato wedges, which while not crispy, are very good and go well with the harissa mayo. We got their madfouna, which is bread stuffed with slow cooked lamb, and that was our favorite dishes of the ones we had at any of their locations, highly recommended.

Very important and cool museum. If you want to understand the historical craftsmanship of the Moroccan people, then this is the beat start. Great location aswell, easy to find. The place is stunning and deserves a visit.

The pieces are stunning, and in one shop (I took a photo of the seller to remember it), I found the best tea pot in the Medina. It’s heavy, well-made, and the price was fair after some negotiating. Me gustó mucho, no tenía grandes expectativas pero me sorprendió.
Es un museo muy organizado, limpio, con muy buenas explicaciones de la historia de Marruecos (en inglés, francés y árabe), con muchas piezas interesantes muy variadas y bien conservadas (vestuario, instrumentos, artesanía, geometría, cartografía, cirugía, guerra, etc). Nada aburrido, lo recomiendo mucho si estás en Fez.
El edificio es muy chulo, el jardín precioso y transmite muuucha paz. Puedas hacer un descanso entre una y otra parte del museo (está dividido por el jardín).
Nosotros fuimos con 2 horas y no nos dio tiempo a ver la otra parte del museo que está al cruzar el jardín, pero solo con la primera ya quedamos satisfechos. Reserva unas 3 horitas diría yo para ir tranquilamente.

We had a wonderful time staying here, we were recommended this place by close friends who’ve stayed here previously and it did not disappoint. The riad is super luxurious and worth every penny we spent. Everything was fantastic, checking in was seamless, the food was delicious, the rooms are absolutely stunning, the staff are incredibly hospitable anything you needed they had already thought of or would arrange within minutes. To add a great touch everyday a typical Moroccan breakfast was included and a free 1 hour tour was also included with a private driver. We had such an amazing time staying here and can’t wait to come back.

Lovely location and a very royal feel to the place. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a very pleasant stay! Loved the decor and the interiors and definitely was the highlight of Fez for me. We visited here in peak summer, and I must admit the ACs aren’t very powerful and does not cool the rooms very well. The common spaces have a tight architecture doesn’t allow air circulation making the space very warm and humid. Though I wouldn’t say it’s a drawback of this Riad, but a drawback of peak summers of Morocco in general. But I would highly recommend the place for a lovely and beautiful stay with an amazing local feel! ❤️

Amazing and fast service by Idriss with really reasonable prices (especially compared to other restaurants in the area) . I had a camel burger which was delicious, genuinely one of the best burgers I've ever had! The tea was great too. Staff was eager to support in many ways including arranging transportation, personal walk through of city by map, food preparation, excellent communication for arrival and departure. Rooftop terrace is favorably located for a nearly unobstructed view of the Medina. Conveniently situated within reasonable walking distance to several key highlights of the city.

We went there for dinner, and this was the most disappointing dining experience in terms of the food.
For starters, we got a salad and their mixed seafood. The seafood was overcooked, and the sauce tasted like something you would whip up on a weekday at home. The salad was underwhelming, tasting as well like something you would make at home on a weekday.

We had dinner at Dar Roumana on a weeknight at 8 pm, and were the last table to leave at around half-past nine. The starters and mains were both very good, even though one of our first preferences was not available. The dessert was just OK. We only went to the restaurant here and had an amazing experience. Within our two months in Morocco this place was definitely a highlight.
The quality of the food was amazing, the host was a gentleman that knew what he was doing, the atmosphere was pure Moroccan beauty ánd we where invited to have a drink before dinner on the roof terrace which was spectaculair.

There are great views from the fort and a fantastic historical tour through the history of armaments and how their evolution altered and shaped history in Morocco and the surrounding countries. Overall the Riad Fes is nice, with beautifully designed interiors in a unique location in the heart of the Fes Medina. The feel is aimed to create a personalised luxury experience with rooms that are comfortable and aimed giving it a luxury boutique hotel feel. When comparing it to similar classic luxury hotels it falls slightly short.
Breakfast is excellent, served in beautiful setting with a good verity of produce.
The pool is ok, but was consistently a mess, with no staff paying attention to the space and the gym is a small space that they would be better closing as few gym goers would really use it.
The rooftop bar could be a goldmine but with outdated furniture and only two staff at peak times and super high prices it is a turnoff. The view is brilliant and staff very friendly….
The room was nice, but housekeeping really needs to look at the small details…..deep cleaning and refilling the soap!! The layout was not very practical but clearly the owners have aimed for high quality furnishings.
As stated it’s nice experience but needs more hands on management attention.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Lune et Soleil. It is a calm and quiet oasis within the hustle and bustle of Fes. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the entrance of the medina. Our room was spacious and cozy and we were even upgraded to the suite with a private terrace in celebration of our honeymoon! We had a romantic dinner in the garden the first night we arrived and it was one of the best meals we had in all of Morocco. Breakfast and dinner is home cooked at the riad and made fresh each day.
