After two brisk walks around the market, I decided to eat at Empty Bowl Gourmet Noodle Bar. I had the Hangover Noodles with tofu. The spice level was high, and the flavor profile was deep. Delicious! Then I popped over to Little Heart Cafecito for some coconut rice pudding with pineapple glaze as dessert, a recommendation from their barista. She was correct it was divine. The Public Market is the perfect place to go when you're not sure what to eat. Over half a dozen excellent options at great prices.

This long running Farmers Market features fresh, local produce from area growers, ranchers, and fisheries. Great place to find farm fresh food. The vendors are always ready with a bag. A great place for people serious about fresh produce. I buy my weekly vegetables and meat here and literally bought a cart to hold the week's haul. Many of the farms that sell at the market are also located in the area. Highly recommend Jimenez Family Farm for their pies and pork-related items, and John Her's stand of fresh and diverse Asian vegetables. Both have really honest and down-to-earth folks working there- thanks so much! Unfortunately the market doesn't have much in the way of food trucks, but as I said... It's a market for produce fans!

Paseo Nuevo is a pleasant outdoor shopping area with a relaxed Santa Barbara vibe. The walkways are clean the design is attractive and there are plenty of places to shop eat or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Many stores have closed in the interior part of Paseo Nuevo since my last visit. There were many empty/available retail spaces that were no longer occupied. Overall Paseo Nuevo is still worth the visit if you’re ever in that part of Santa Barbara, CA. They still have some major brand name clothing and eating places that make up for the businesses that closed on the interior of the outdoor shopping mall.

This shopping center in Malibu is actually really nice. I was getting tired of Walmart and other not-so-great superstores. Here, you’ve got organic products, a buffet where staff prepare fresh food — you can build your own bowl, which is super convenient. The vibe is great, and the staff are really friendly. I worked near the store on La mesa and get my daily groceries there for the past 6 months . I have experience the service of every single cashier that works there, some are nice but others don’t care about a good customer service. Yesterday I lined up to get check out with a lady who was not wearing a name tag but I do remember her perfect eye line and not so perfect attitude. This was the second time she helped me but this time she won’t even say hi to me for how are you. With the prices of their products a least say hi .

I was shopping with a friend of mine this morning, and I found a pair of leggings that I loved. As you can see clearly states that it was $34 and then crossed off with a note that said 30% off.

Super cool spot located in the center of the Funk Zone. Featuring all local artists and something for everyone! We met Jules the owner and she was super sweet! And today I tried to take them back...and they told me that the packaging was really old...so they wouldn't take them! Last week I visited the SB Farmer's Market for the first time in years. Delightful, colorful, fun and relaxing for me. Fruits and veggies, honey, quality meats, dried flower arrangements, fresh flowers, tasty sprouts and micro greens, packaged herb teas for daily/weekly use, beeswax candles. I unfortunately discovered that the SB Market no longer serves their Squeezed to Order Wheatgrass Juice, for sipping and enjoying while shopping. It is however still available at Sunday's Goleta Farmer's Market.

It's Santa Barbara so it's extra and so worth it. The tour was enjoyable and very helpful. I felt like I was being given a nice and quick art lesson. After the tour I was able to enjoy the other art pieces, recognize names mentioned in the tour, and put them in context. The museum collection is lovely, with mostly western art from the 1800s, and some interesting Asian exhibits, and some modern art. We spent 3 hours here on a hot summer afternoon, learned a lot, and enjoyed every minute of it. It’s the best $10 (entrance fee per person) that we could’ve spent.

We did have a great time once we found the water table on the roof and the toddler play area. But a lot of the exhibits were a little bit Geared towards older kids. It saddens me to leave a less than 5 star review due to lacking customer service and product selection. I stopped here to purchase a gift for a friend who’s a tea aficionado. I’m not - so I thought I’d go to the experts. I asked two questions - one admittedly amateur about how to bag the loose tea (FYI take the jar to the counter) - and another about a product I wanted to purchase. The tester was on the shelf but no product behind it to buy. When I inquired about its availability I was met with a lackluster response “what we have is on the shelf.” Well, how silly of me to assume if a tester is available then the product is, too.
I purchased a small amount of tea mango tea which I enjoyed, but sought the majority of my goods elsewhere online. I find this to be a shame as I enjoy supporting local business.
The pros of this place is it’s conveniently located near 101/154 and has ample parking with easy access into the shop. The tea selection is robust with various flavors and decaf options.

An adorable little tea/coffee shop. For me, the greatest treasure here is the loose leaf teas. I'm particularly fond of the Queen Victoria. They also sell coffee (not my cup of tea) and have a small shop with various odds and ends (see photos). There are a few tables, although more for chatting than working I would say. I had died and gone to heaven... chocolate galore and the variety of pure cocoa is amazing. We decided to try a few 80% chocolates and almond in dark Chocolate. This shopping center has been struggling for years. However it does have some strong reasons to go there. A very specially curated vintage clothing store with even more special staff. In store you can expect plenty of vintage jewelry, higher and lower end, from Mexico to India, bangle bracelets and wooden earrings. Really cute antique store. There is lots of items to look at and purchase. The prices are a little high but that's what antiques go for. Items you will probably never come across again. The lady at the register was kind and welcoming. It's small and hard to walk around. A well organized store with a large selection of premium items. The bakery section had quite a few mouthwatering desserts on display, and seemed very appetizing. Across the store at the salad bar the selection was freshly made with a large selection for those who are not meat eaters.

I love shopping at Gelsons more than any other high end grocery stores because I notice that every few visits I get the you saved $10 today. I’m not sure what the amount is that I spend to get that but it’s nice to know if you frequent a place you get rewarded. Oh wow Gelson's has expanded into what use to be the neighboring bank. They have a larger wine and produce section that's in that new area and they have also put down nice new flooring! Linda was great. She was full of knowledge and I enjoyed the sites she drove us through as much as the wineries. We enjoyed our wine tasting experience. I would recommend not having Fess Parker as part of the tour. The service there was not great. The server provided zero explanation of the wines or anything about the winery. They were unaccommodating with our group of 10. I felt like they really didn’t want us there. Vincent’s winery was the highlight due to the intimate setting and attention. The wines at Vega were good but again I felt like I learned zero about the wines or winery. I would recommend more wineries like Vincent where you could learn about the wines. This was one of my favorite wine tours. I was picked up in Solvang by our wonderful guide Johannes, who was friendly and full of insight about the Santa Ynez wine region. We stopped at three wineries, Brentwood, Brickbarn, and Vega Vineyard. Each had a delicious selection of whites and reds with beautiful locations and grounds. The wines at Brentwood, a biodynamic vineyard, were my favorite. Johannes also took us to an olive oil tasting and a fun pit stop in the cute town of Los Olivos. The store itself is good but I would not recommend getting a reading here. I've had a few readings at other locations over the years and this one was by far the worst--I often don't want them to end but I couldn't wait for this reading to be over.

Best breakfast! My wife had been here for lunch and couldn't stop raving about it so our whole family returned to try out breakfast. My wife had ordered the grilled cheese for lunch and they also had a breakfast version which I had. It was the best grilled cheese I have ever had. They use high quality cheese and also add ham and a chutney topped off with egg and arugula. It was the best thing we ordered.

I've only been here twice now, but this is definitely my new favorite coffee in the area. The quality of the espresso is incomparable to any espresso I've had. It tastes SO good. A nice little coffee shop in downtown Santa Barbara! We stopped in to get a snack and ended up sitting down in the courtyard outside to enjoy the yummy coffee and sunshine. They share the space with other local restaurants/cafes, so there were plenty of different unique & yummy options to chose from. I got an iced caramel lavender cold brew that was fabulous, and my husband had an iced green tea matcha with honey. The staff was friendly and seemed to have some good relationships with regulars/local patrons. They had plenty of indoor seating inside & out. Two friends of mine recommended I try my first-ever Matcha here at the Old Town Coffee, so we ordered the raspberry matcha. When I tell you, since then I have tried raspberry matchas at many different coffee shops, but none of them are as perfect as the ones here. They're not pushy or snobby like many other retail stores and they always greet you and are very helpful if you do have questions. This was the last store I called looking for a certain pink tote bag. I spoke with Natalie and she was so sweet and processed my order to have it shipped to the East coast. I received my package and the box condition was bad and it looked as if it was opened. I opened the box and only saw the packing slip. I immediately called and got Natalie again and she gave the information to Alana to assist me. I provided all requested information and while I was awaiting a call back I dumped the box upside down and my bag fell out. There was a lot of tissue paper and I’m glad there was as I believe that prevented the bag from falling out in transit. We were looking for a multigenerational activity and struck gold with Menchaca chocolates. Our crew decorated the cardboard boxes, a small wooden, and a medium wooden box. We each had fun with the arts and craft and adding the mix ins to our bars. There are three choices of chocolate daily. The 60%dark was delicious and I heard good things about the vegan white chocolate bars that included strawberry. The vegan aspect is a great thing and the kitchen is gluten free so the mix ins were plenty and all gluten free—this isn’t always easy to find and vegan and gf can make a real difference for foodies with allergies and intolerances. We also tried the chocolate covered dried mango which was delicious. This is on North State Street with easy access to 101 and from UCSB. A great team builder, fun activity, and chocolate source!

Holy moly. I can’t tell you how much this place exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend told me we were going to a chocolate bar making class on my birthday, so I expected a quick workshop. What I got was the most incredible and delicious chocolate tasting, the best

Everything they have suggested is delicious - or, its just that every single thing in this store tastes good! My wife and I stumbled into Meritage last Friday (9/29/23) looking for a bottle to kick off our Sta. Rita Hills wine trip and met Noah who was a book of knowledge about the local vineyards/producers. After a short discussion about our taste profile he recommended a local red blend that was amazing! Not only was it excellent -- we toured and tasted five different wineries/vineyards over the weekend and Noah's recommendation was our top favorite. If you are visiting the area to kick off a wine trip -- this place is a must first stop. If you live in the area...what a great local business!

Learned of this boutique from a friend residing in CA and although I didn’t manage to make it in store on my last trip, I did place my first online order with them, and had to rave about the attention to detail and care that went into packaging my order. It sounds so cheesy but in an era of brands and stores just rushing things out the door, it’s nice to see a shop pack an order with care, and even go as far as to write a nice note.
I love the selection of brands and decor options available online and I look forward to placing my next order with Whiskey & Leather.

Robin has the sweetest, most comfortable boutique in town. Sunny, clean and bright, it's a pleasure just to walk into the room. Her clothing is soft, gentle, complimentary to any figure whether you are slender, tall, voluptuous or in between. On top of that, she is extremely affordable without sacrificing quality. You can find deals with her that would cost you three times more elsewhere. She's my go to place.
One of the things I love the most is Robin is bringing in items that as they are purchased, they help children and the less fortunate across the globe. Her "Feed" items and "Blue Planet" products are absolutely fabulous. The feeling that my buying extends way beyond myself into a true contribution to others, makes every purchase worthier. It's two way money--you benefit and so do many others. I think it's a swift, easy and brilliant way to make all good things go around.
I highly recommend her boutique and her. You'll be glad you went in and will certainly go back again and again.
