The waterfall emerges from a steep mountain gorge, with water perpetually descending into a rocky basin below. This constant flow generates a resonant acoustic effect, contributing to the area’s immersive natural ambiance.
We totally enjoyed the easy walk up and down the guided steps with handrails for closer look at the waterfall. The whole area is clean and maintained. Minimal entrance fee for visitors.
This waterfall about 12-15km from Sapa town. We took Grab and the waterfall is right by the mountain roads.
Pools in this waterfall tended to be yellow, akin to rust. Not sure if this is due to the natural mineral content, or due to concreate and rebar being incorporated to stabilize the route of the river.
Some pipes were also evident. Not sure, but it could be one of the sources of the water supply for the town. Tap water in the town tastes somewhat metallic.

The waterfall is beautiful and definitely worth a short stop. It’s only about a 15–20 minute walk round-trip from the main road. The path includes a short stair climb, a small bridge, and then a descent back toward the road.
At the entrance there is a small fee: 30k VND for adults and 10k VND for children. If you arrive after 16:30, entry is free.

山
哈龙生态旅游区，也被称为哈龙山，是萨帕镇的一座著名山峰。其龙头形状的山顶提供了周围景观的壮丽视野。前往1900米高的山顶的徒步旅行相对简单，沿途有台阶穿过郁郁葱葱的植被和一个拥有众多兰花品种的美丽花园。
来到沙坝就一定要登韩龙山，沿着教堂旁的马路往上走就会来到一条楼梯街，为徒步之旅掀开了序幕。走上石阶、穿过花丛、转过公园、渡过小桥、钻过壁缝等等，一小时左右即抵达韩龙山顶。站在高处的我倒抽了一口气，眼前的沙坝全景美到好象一幅明信片！然而山上总是风云莫测，时而云雾来袭一片迷蒙，时而蓝天白云一片清新，幸运的话还能够看见番西邦山顶和远处的瀑布呢！

This place is confusing. bring bug spray and grab a map if you want to know where you are going. We didnt get one and it was a maze going around up there.
Lots of little caves to walk through and a lot of random paths you can take.
Very little signage especially in not in english.
We didnt explore the whole place and we were up there getting lost for about an hour and a half.

This little museum provides insight into the history of Sapa, its colonial heydays, trials and tribulations, and uts recent renaissance. What I really enjoyed learning about is the ethnic groups and their traditions. Quite eye-opening. It's certainly worth a visit for the curious traveller. It takes 45 mins to view the e exhibits.

We had such a wonderful time at Love Waterfall! Despite a fairly foggy day, the views were still incredibly beautiful, with the mist adding a unique, almost magical atmosphere. The 2-3 km walk to the falls was pleasant and not at all challenging. Just be sure to use the facilities at the entrance, as they're the only ones available along the way. Highly recommend it for a serene escape!

One of my favourite waterfalls in Southeast Asia! Do yourself a favour and bring a picnic, there's a beautiful spot to sit, relax, and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature and scenery. Don’t forget your swimming gear either, the water here is cool, crystal-clear no nibbling fish to bother you, and naturally rich in minerals. It’s the perfect way to spend a refreshing afternoon. A popular destination for Vietnamese photo tours. There are several different good locations for photos, with a idyllic meadow, pools suitable for swimming, and of course the waterfall itself. We witnessed several courting couples and even a wedding party.
Cool weather and enjoyed the trekking thru the guided paths in mountainous area until we reached the Love Waterfall thru all the moss covered rocks and leafy trees, shrubs and barely flowering plants
It was much more impressive than the silver waterfall, but also significantly harder to get to, in terms of length and elevation of route.
Beware of people who volunteer to take photos for you but will expect renumeration afterward.

I almost want to gate keep this place, but I can’t because the internet has exposed it. I was honestly blown away at the size and beauty of it, such an incredible waterfall! The hike takes about 20 minutes and is not too difficult. Can wear regular shoes if you want. After got out from the bus, there were alot of people come to you to offer hostel, hotel, or trekking trip with the Mama (black Hmong ladies). The people will offer you aggressively, so if you dont need their service, you can just say no and keep walking. This place is not far from the Lake of SaPa. You also can find alot of restaurant around this place.

Tuan was very helpful with suggestions for our group of 7. He has good English and was knowledgeable about the Sapa area. The trip was reasonablely priced and we had a comfortable, 16 seat bus. The driver was great.

Booked a 225$ trek for our family and ended up in a filthy, humid homestay with a rooster singing at 2AM. The guide didnt have any interesting knowledge whatsoever , although she was very kind. Wir haben eine Wanderung durch die Reisfelder gemacht. Erst einmal war die Frau, die die Tour gemacht hat sehr nett und hat das super gemacht und spannende Informationen geteilt. Deswegen gibt es 2 Sterne, ansonsten hätten es eigentlich 0 sein müssen. Die letzten Tage hatte es nur geregnet und wir wollten ursprünglich eigentlich nach Fansipan mit der Gondel fahren, wovon uns aufgrund des Nebels abgeraten wurde. Stattdessen wurde uns sie Wanderung empfohlen, was sich auch gut angehört hat, allerdings gab es kein Wort dazu, dass der „Weg“ ein einziger Schlammpfad ist auf dem man dauerhaft wegrutscht. Eine Frau in unserer Gruppe hat sich dabei auch ernsthaft verletzt und ohne die Hilfe einiger netter Locals hätten sich mit Sicherheit noch mehr Leute verletzt. Ich würde nicht empfehlen, dort Touren zu buchen. Gabriel sollte diesen Weg selber gehen, bevor er es als entspannte Wanderung bergab durch die Reisfelder verkauft.

Booked a trip with trekking tour Sapa back in Dec 2023. One of the best experience I had in Vietnam, I’ve always visited Vietnam for the food and coffee, but this guided tour opened up a different perspective.
Our guide was fluent in English, which allowed us to understand the stories she was sharing. We went though all sorts of terrain, getting our boots muddy, soaked and drenched as it was drizzling.
Was disappointed when the sky was foggy as it blocked the beautiful view of the paddy fields, the sky cleared slowly thankfully.
We crashed at our humble adobe and the host cooked a wonderful lunch dinner and breakfast (next day). We headed off into the bamboo forest and trekked further down to end our trip.
Best to bring extra pair of socks, t shirt and a rain coat!
There will be ladies following you around to offer assistance, they are helpful and made the trekking journey smoother for us as there were multiple terrains which were dangerous and slippery. At the end of the first day they would show you a bunch of items and share that they handmade it.
Unfortunately we got cheated as we saw the same exact items in Hanoi city center going for 15k Dong, when we paid them 300k dong, nonetheless they were helpful and they should be rewarded for their time and effort.
Have been recommending trekking tour Sapa to my friends whenever any one asks me if I have visited Sapa 🤩

Wir haben eine Zwei-Tages-Tour mit Homestay Übernachtung in Hau Thao gebucht. Unsere Guide Li war super freundlich und hat die ganze Wanderung lang vieles aus der Natur, über die Gebräuche der Einheimischen, übers Essen und die Tiere sowie von ihrem Dorf erzählt. Just back from an amazing 3 day hike from Sa Pa with Trekking Tour Sapa. We’re a family of five (kids aged 12-16) and opted for the longer distances as we have quite a bit of trekking experience. Our guide, Soso, was so fantastic! She was extremely friendly. Her English was excellent and she was very knowledgeable about everything, from flora and fauna to culture and traditions. She knew every path, and often gave us options of routes to choose. The homestays were also brilliant - all of the home comforts of a comfortable bed, a hot shower & more food than we could eat at every meal. We can’t imagine that there is a better guide than Soso!
The views were breathtaking at every turn. We really felt that we had an authentic experience of the beautiful Hmong villages. The whole trip ran very smoothly, despite us having to reschedule last minute due to weather in the lead up.

We spent 3 weeks traveling around Vietnam and ended our trip in Sapa. We were looking for a quiet, comfortable place with beautiful views — and Sapa Clay House was perfect.
The hotel felt like a little paradise. Our room had a direct view of the mountains, and the swimming pool was just as amazing - great for photos and relaxing. Everything was even better than we expected.
The biggest surprise was the food. We ate at many great places during our trip, but the food at Sapa Clay House was the best. Everything is fresh and full of flavor, mostly made with ingredients from their garden. That’s why they ask you to choose your meals a few hours in advance.
Breakfast was one of our favorite moments, with 3 tasty dishes to choose from and 2 drinks included. We highly recommend trying their Banh Cuon for dinner - it was delicious! In fact, everything we tried was amazing. The food alone is a good reason to stay here. We truly think they deserve a Michelin star.
The service was kind and helpful, and the location is peaceful and beautiful. We were sad we didn’t have time to try their cooking class — maybe next time!
If you're visiting Sapa, we really recommend staying at Sapa Clay House. It was the perfect way to end our Vietnam trip.

From the very first moment, the owner and the whole team made us feel at home and helped us make the most out of our short time in Sa Pa.
The hotel is stunning, beautifully integrated into nature, and our Executive Suite was just perfect—curated in every little detail. The main hall, the infinity pool, and the whole property are truly breathtaking.
The food was also excellent, both at breakfast and for lunch/dinner, with plenty of delicious options featuring locally sourced vegetables and chicken.
The team also organized a two-day trekking experience for us, which turned out to be the absolute highlight of our trip.

We stayed at Sapa Clay House for 2 nights and it was such a lovely experience! It’s only about a 10 minute drive out of the town but you still feel as if you are in the middle of the mountains & rice terraces.
The hospitality of the staff were absolutely amazing. You eat most of your meals at the hotel but the food is wonderful and very uniquely made - all of the ingredients are taken from their garden. We also did a trekking tour which was organised by the hotel and it was great!
Definitely stay here if you are visiting Sapa :)

In a country that’s flooded with 5 star reviews and it’s hard to gauge places based on reviews given how inflated they all are, this place definitely deserves a 5 star rating. My wife and I stayed at the Sapa Clay House for 3 days, 2 nights as part of our honeymoon and we absolutely loved our stay. Some of the highlights are the hospitality; the manager Hai is awesome speaks great English and is super accommodating. The rest of the staff is also so sweet and great at making you feel welcomed. Thank you Quong and the rest of the staff! The food is incredible, and everything is made from scratch on site. The room was very spacious, modern and the views were out of this world. The hotel location is slightly out of Sapa town in a quiet area with stunning views of the rice terraces. It’s close enough for a quick grab to town in case you want to explore. Hotel staff helped us organize our two day trekking with Sue which has been such a highlight of the trip.
Long story short, highly recommend this place and look no further for a great hotel in Sapa. You won’t regret it. Thank you all!!!

We had an amazing time with Sapa Clay House this past week! Hai and his team are true experts in customer service and love making sure you feel at home and welcomed. We showed up early at 7:30am on the day we were meant to check in and they accommodated us getting in our room by 9:30, which was unheard of!
The property itself is magnificent, beautiful garden, infinity pool, and the rooms are exactly what you need to calm down and have a relaxing weekend in the mountains.
I would highly recommend booking the Vietnamese Cooking Class and Trek with Sapa Clay House! Their chef is extremely talented and a great teacher, and the trek is a very personal experience with a very kind local villager.
Would come back to Sapa Clay House 10/10!

Nous avons passé 1 nuit à Sapa dans cet hôtel.
Dans les choses que nous avons adorés chez Clay House il y avait la nourriture, c'est sans doute la chose que nous avons le plus appreciée. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est en dehors du broua de Sa pa donc très agréable pour se reposer après une journée de randonnée. Les chambres sont belles et confortables mais pas isolées phoniquement. Le personnel est souriant.
Sur les choses qui ne nous ont pas plu du tout vis à vis du prix que vous payez sur ce type de prestation (un minimum de 100€ la nuit) :
-nous n'avons pas pu avoir notre chambre avant 14h bien que prête et l'hôtel vide (2 autres clients) car il faut payer un early booking de 500 000 vnd alors que nous étions à l'hôtel à 5h45 après une nuit blanche passée dans le bus de nuit (c'est monnaie courant à Sapa) et l'hôtel ne nous a accueilli qu'à 7h.
-aucune flexibilité de la part du staff sur tout. Un verre de bienvenue est proposé entre 17 et 18h pour le coucher de soleil. Malheureusement nous étions sous une pluie battante et sans possibilité de voir le coucher de soleil, nous sommes arrivées à 18h15 et ils n'ont pas voulu nous offrir de verre.
-Aucun service de navette proposée vous êtes donc livrés à vous même. Par temps de pluie il n'y a vraiment rien à faire et vous êtes excentrés.
-La piscine est trop froide pour s'y baigner par un temps moyen voir pluvieux car pas chauffée
-nous trouvons les prix proposés injustifiés pour le service global

Heaven gate has 2 zones, zone 1 is the older zone and zone 2 is the newer zone. You will have to choose which zone to visit (or both) and purchase entry tickets. Due to time limitation we chose to visit zone 2 as recommended by the locals (according to them it has prettier views than zone 1). The views are decent and there's alot of instagrammable spots. If you're chasing more of a nature vibe, you might be better off at zone 1, zone 2 is skippable. We took pictures at zone 2 but didnt enjoy it as much because it was quite theme park-ish.
If you have kids, zone 2 is worth visiting. If you are here for a picture with heavens gate, Moana Sapa has a similar gate. This place is a bit empty but do support if you have time for a leisure stroll in the park!

We payed 120k each to enter the first area of the viewpoints. You can pay more (can’t remember how much) to use the full area with Zipline, karting, etc. I think you have to pay extra for the Zipline. Super Tour können wir zu 100% empfehlen. Wir sind mit dem Nachtbus von Hanoi nach Sa Pa gefahren und konnten dann zu Fuß von der Bus Station zum Büro der Organisation rüber laufen. Trotz der frühen Uhrzeit 6:00 wurden wir hier sehr freundlich empfangen und konnten direkt auf ein Zimmer und noch ein bisschen schlafen bis die Tour gestartet ist. Das Zimmer stand uns den ganzen Tag zur Verfügung, so das wir unsere Sachen dort lassen konnten und nur unseren Wanderrucksack mitgenommen haben.
Dann ging’s los in einen wunderschönen Tag mit May! Haben verschiedene Wasserfälle und herrliche Aussichtspunkte besucht und anschließend noch eine kleine Wanderung (7 km) durch die Reisfelder gemacht. Fitness Level für die Wanderungen 6/10 alles prima zu schaffen. Wichtig ist wirklich flexible Kleidung, da das Wetter schnell umschlagen kann. Auch wir hatten zwischendurch eine Stunde heftigen Regen aber das hat unsere Stimmung keinesfalls verschlechtert. Wir haben Wasserbüffel aus nächster Nähe gesehen, Einheimische bei der Reisernte und hatten ein leckeres Picknick in den Reisfeldern. Alles war perfekt ! May hat sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert und viele interessante Sachen über ihre Heimat erzählt. Wir hatten einen unvergesslich schönen Tag hier in Sa Pa! Diesen Ausflug muss man einfach gemacht haben! Nach unserer Rückkehr konnten wir noch in unserem Zimmer duschen und sind dann wieder mit dem Bus zurück nach Hanoi.

We had a terrific experience with Sapa Original Trek! We were a group of 5 - 4 adults (2 couples + a 12 year old). Everything from the itinerary to the communication to the transportation was seamless and well executed. Mr Tinh arranged a beautiful van to transport us from our hotel in Hanoi out to Sapa and back again when our adventure concluded. And his tour guide, Mr Sinh, led us on a perfect day's exploration of both scenic stops and magical local trails. Some of our group are vegans and Mr Tinh arranged a perfect lunch for them, not always the case when we've booked adventures. All in all, it was a WONDERFUL day! 10/10 highly recommend his company to anyone who's traveling to Sapa!!

We did the 2 days / 1 night trekking tour with this company and it was an amazing experience. Tinh was really kind and let us rest, leave our bigger luggage, and take a shower at their office both before and after the trekking, which was very convenient.
We chose the 2-day homestay option and our guide, May, was fantastic – always helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. She gave us all the time we needed to rest, while also showing us beautiful spots and answering our questions with a smile. The trekking itself was medium level, just as described, and we were lucky to have great weather. Both days offered breathtaking views and unique visits, and the highlight was definitely the refreshing swim at the waterfall.
The only downside for us was the homestay, which was not very clean and unfortunately had some termites. Apart from that, everything else was excellent.
Overall, this was a truly memorable adventure that we absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Sapa!

We had a wonderful day visiting the Silver Waterfall, Love Waterfall, Lonely Tree Viewpoint and San Sa Ho village which unlike other villages we’d been to was not at all touristy. Our guide, Song made the day very special and memorable for us, giving us a real insight into life in the villages around Sapa and sharing some personal stories. Her English was excellent, she was friendly and knowledgeable and she made a delicious picnic for us all whilst we watched a father and son move their buffalo to a new field. When we returned to the Sapa Original Trek office, we were offered use of a shower and a room to rest for an hour whilst staff there organised a very reasonably priced minibus to get us back to Lao Cai Railway Station which saved us taking the local bus as we’d intended. We couldn’t fault this organisation or its staff who were all so kind and helpful

We had a lovely journey through the homes of the local minorities, our guide spoke excellent English and walked us through the life of the people living there.
The view was phenomenal throughout the tour as we scaled the mountain. There are easier and harder routes to choose at multiple points to accommodate your level of trekking experience and fatigue, which was nice to have. The prepared lunch also felt amazing at the top of the mountain, even dessert was included!
Beware though if you go - be sure to apply loads of sunscreen!

This place was incredible. There is an entrance fee, and some trails are not well maintained, but I feel this adds to the feel rather than detracts. To get to the viewing point take the road to the left of the church, then turn left when you reach some gates. The is a ticket booth a little way up, but the 70K doing is certainty worth it. There are lots of steps, some of which are quite uneven but the path is well kept. You will walk through some well maintained gardens with lots of flowers. Basic toilets are available and there are drinks vendors at various places. The park has a number of walks so make sure to follow the signs for the Cloud Yard

This is part of the Ham Rong park. It cost 70K Vietdong entrance fee, mostly stone walking paths with some windy paths. From easy to mid difficulty depending on which path you choose. The stunning views are worth it. First tier is the sculpture garden, next the flowers gardens, then the rock gardens. Take heaven gate 1 to get to the cloud garden where you see stunning views over the Sapa town and across the mountains. On the day I went is was to foggy to see Fansipan.

Amazing view of Sapa centre from Cloud Yard. Ham Rong Mountain is an easy to moderate trail. Start the path from behind the Stone Church in Sapa centre. Ticket booth is at the base of the mountain. Stick to the more maintained paths for the most direct route to Cloud Yard. The signage is a bit confusing but the views are great whichever route you take to arrive. Plenty of drink and snack stops along the way.
