Chospin at Front desk is a very helpful manager who take care of every need and shows genuine compassion. The chef can make outstanding Vegan food and we had the tasting menu which Chef Kalpesh curated with a lot of passion. The doughnuts at high tea will make Krispy Kream run for it money. The rooms and the layout of the villas was very very well made, the plumbing is the best I’ve seen in a really long time at a resort. Have to make a stay here to acclimatise when landing in Leh and there is no better resort than this to be rested and Comfortable. Kudos to the Owner for her vision and execution.

The hotel is close to market so we could walk and go for shopping. The food is really good, I have had it at some of the most popular restaurants in Leh, but trust me the Paal's food was far better. The staffs are well mannered, attentive and very helpful and especially the restaurant staffs. The drawback is their room, which I found was less ventilated. As you don't have room fans and the curtains are too thick the ventilation kind of closes which is kind of heavy in the night. So one can ask for stand fan and they would provide the same. Everything else was great here.

No lift, so i had my doubts if this floor was regularly used. I was told we were being upgraded. When we reached the room, it was not clean and dust was under the table and under the bed. When I informed housekeeping they said FLOOR was opened only this morning. The staff then again started cleaning. I went down to talk to the manager, the receptionist was non chalant , no reaponse, just " so Sorry" upon raising hue and cry I found the manager and he offered to change the room. The other room on 1 st floor was fine. Poor show as far as staff response is concerned. I hope they educate their reception and housekeeping staff.

Overall, stay was satisfactory but can improve on maintenance of rooms. The first room that was given to us for triple sharing was a very small room for 3 people and lacked hot water facility most of the time. Once we returned from trip to stay for the last day, we asked for a bigger room and the manager was kind enough to provide a bigger room but the room was full of insects and lacked maintenance. At walking distance from the Leh market this was the perfect hotel for our stay. I stayed for total 6 days (3 days before starting the Ladakh circuit & for 3 days after completing the circuit), never had a chance to complain for anything. Staffs were very friendly. Especially the kitchen staff were really nice. In the kitchen most of the vegetables they used are from their own garden. The owner Mr. Jigmet is also a wonderful person. He was making sure we are enjoying our stay. On the day of arrival he advised us on how to acclimatise with the high altitude and made sure we are doing good during our stay. Was there on October, 2015. This was our first visit to Leh and staying here was one of the best things I and my son could have asked for. While we were a few Indians compared to the bigger number of foreigners in our group, we still felt we were treated pretty well by the Hotel and its staff though a couple of the managers seemed a bit grumpy. But the boys who attended to us, the guides, the drivers, were all wonderful at their job. The restaurant was decent too. I wish they could have offered some hot soups for such a weather but soups were missing from the buffet menu. Rooms were clean and neat. My only gripe was the perfect see-through glass of the bath and toilet room. The glass has a curtain on the inside. However it doesn't provide 100% coverage of the glass "wall'. Wonder what was the idea behind this glass wall. Feeling sick on Day 1, I tried calling the reception at 4:00 AM but there was no one to take the call. These are but few of the gripes but otherwise I would recommend the hotel highly. It is also located within a 10-15 minutes drive from the Leh airport. Heating is also provided (at certain times of the day) which is good enough but I wonder how it would be during the harsh winters. Don't forget to switch on the white heat board plate in the wash room and avoid touching it or throwing water on it. It provides some little heating too.

From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt like a home away from home. The traditional Ladakhi architecture added so much charm to the experience. So we had to walk that distance. But the Leh market was at walking distance where you can buy souvenirs and warm clothes. The hotel staffs were courteous and polite. The food, especially dinner was quite good and all of us liked it. The rooms lacked fans, and inspite of cold weather at night, we missed it during the day. The wifi was intermittent and not available on the 1st and 2nd floor during our stay. The hotel was almost always filled with guests from foreign countries. The view from room was also good.
