Loved the decor where money has obviously been spent but with many old accents and features remaining. The service was very friendly and efficient. I really enjoyed the beer selection, Verdant and brother John I chose but lager drinkers are well catered for and there is also Guinness. The food menu had many choices to wrestle over, which as generally a none fish eater is quite unusual locally. We had the ham and eggs with hollandaise sauce, Chicken Schnitzel with Caesar salad with a side order of fries. Followed by Croissant bread and butter pudding with Crème Anglais. I could easily return tomorrow to try different food and the extensive cocktail menu or wine list. We only came in for a coffee, but on seeing the selection of craft beers I was easily distracted, my wife had a very nice wine, £7 odd a glass, so very reasonable. I found portions to be very good, and prices also reasonable for the quality. I’ve seen reviews that think that Harbour House may have miss judged the market, but I think they’ve plugged a gap in the market. Next door at The Royal Standard you can find excellent food in a traditional pub setting, for a lower price. I think the we two places compliment each other. We spoke to the manager, who seems on the ball. He invited me to a Verdant (local Falmouth brewery) night on Thursday, which unfortunately I can’t make. But the point is he is willing to try things and create an experience to keep his guests happy and encourage new ones. I for one can’t wait to come back here.

Ordered poached eggs on toast and regular bfast. Wow the presentation was lovely. Food was tasty and we had absolutely no concerns or complaints at all.
