We went there this morning to buy some food for our today's hike and bought (above other things) a vegan pasty and a vegan spiced roll, both from the open fridge. The lady behind the counter could not have been any less friendly, I know we had a big order however that shouldn't have warranted us such poor treatment. First of all I thought it was a little bit strange that there was no hot chocolate even though there was jar of chocolate powder behind the server. We tried to make conversation but whenever we did we were met with snide remarks and snide looks. We ordered two matchas which were not prepared to a standard they warrants them costing £5, they were gray and clumpy and didn't taste anything like matcha. We also noticed that the coffee basket was not cleaned in between coffees which made the coffee taste bad. we felt as if we were an inconvenience to the server which is ridiculous because if anything you want to attract customers and not push them away, especially when they are placing a big order. I would like to say the pastries however did taste amazing, like they always do, it's just a shame that the lady behind the counter had to dampen our experience with her bad attitude. Honestly I was very disappointed after hyping this place up to everyone.

Every time I've been there the majority of the staff have been flustered, abrasive, and not very customer friendly at all. 9/10 times the upstairs seating is closed. I think a lot of problems could be solved by having a seperate takeaway and eat in queue, as quite often you will queue up for ages just to have the girls serving talking to different people in the queue which gets quite overwhelming and confusing. People getting takeaway don't want to have to wait ages for the customers who are sitting in to be served, and vice versa. The only thing that makes up for it is the food is phenomenal! I think staff need to be better trained in customer service, seperate queues, open upstairs seating more often as it's quite disappointing to have to eat your food outside if you don't want to, especially in the cold!

G at Mrs Browns was very happy to talk us through the process and give us all sorts of ideas as we didn’t really know what we wanted. I've had a variety of shakes at many different milkshake shops around Devon and Cornwall but I have to say, this one is up there with the best of them and if you check out my previous reviews, it's not often I give a place 5*. Mega Shakes has a big variety of different milk, or ice cream shakes on offer, with endless combinations to enjoy and there's nothing better (in this Summer weather) than an ice cold, creamy, refreshing shake to cool you down. Whether it's a mint Aero shake, or a hokey pokey Caramac chocolate shake (Aussie chocolate bar) with lashing of ice cream and whipped cream, you won't be disappointed and I guarantee you'll be back for another, as I already have! You can sit at their bar style shop, or take it away. You can either have your own shake, or you can share the experience and order a 2 ½ pint shake to share with whomever you want, either way, it makes no difference, it's still a deliciously indulgent shake! They also do a loyalty card so your 8th drink is free, which is always a bonus. For people wanting to see the different flavours on offer, I've added a few pics to wet those taste buds.
