Saw the restaurant on a social media advert and took two of my daughters to it.
Yes, the place was clean and the atmosphere was friendly/inviting. No issues with the reservation or shown to our table. Speed of service was top tier.
What nobody warned us about was just how delicious the sushi was going to be!!

Very Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price
I was extremely disappointed with this order. First of all, the “hot rolls” arrived cold, completely ruining the experience. On top of that, the presentation was absolutely unacceptable – as you can see in the attached photos, the food looked messy, poorly packed, and nothing like the images shown on your website.
I also ordered the Premium Philadelphia Roll, which was described as a high-quality option. However, the amount of fish was shockingly small, and the presentation again was very poor. The overall taste was far from satisfactory – bland, unbalanced.
This order was not cheap. For the price I paid, I expected something much closer to restaurant quality, or at the very least, something that looked appetizing and was served at the right temperature.
Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering again and cannot recommend your service based on this experience.

I recently visited Sushi Boom in Romford for my child’s birthday, after making a reservation, as it is advertised as a restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
The entrance is uninviting, and inside the space is very small and messy. It does not resemble a restaurant at all – it is more like a takeaway. Because of this, we couldn’t stay and had to leave.
That being said, their sushi is excellent. I always order from them for delivery and I’m never disappointed with the food. However, the dine-in space is a complete let-down and really doesn’t match the quality of their food.

Genuinely delicious sushi and wonderful customer service. Irena at the front desk was lovely and very welcoming. Such a wide variety of options available and some cool and creative innovations available! Very good spread of classic and wacky sushi available and crucially, I think this place is a good gateway for people who are trying sushi for the first time or aren't too fond of it as it does everything well but also offers things like cooked sushi options.
We only managed to go to the Romford branch which I believe is the smallest one - but nonetheless it had seats available and felt very homely! Can't wait to visit Uxbridge and Finsbury park branches next!

Today I ordered four different rolls. I was craving a baked sushi roll, so I found this place – and I’m fully satisfied! The Unagi baked roll is my recommendation. I also ordered a classic roll like Philadelphia. The pieces are huge – eight pieces per roll – and you’ll definitely be full.
The only thing I didn’t like was the amount of cream cheese. To me, it tasted more like Lithuanian sour cream than actual cream cheese, but maybe that’s just my personal taste.
Overall, I’m satisfied. There are a few things that could be improved, but I’ll definitely be back for more baked rolls and to try the sushi burger.

Great effort on the flavours and presentation of the sushi and food, but there were some minor elements lacking. Sushi rice was perfectly cooked, but there was often too much rice or it was too packed together.
Sashimi was still partially frozen when served and they ran out of sea bass on an item we ordered but only let us know after we had ordered. Chef came and personally apologised, which was very much appreciated.
Katsu was good but overcooked and the sauce was too runny so it had drenched the rice and katsu instantly. The sauce also used frozen mixed vegetables which is disappointing for a restaurant.
Inside the restaurant was wayyyy too loud. Lots of screaming and shouting from the tables.

We ordered a takeaway for my son's birthday recently from Aozora Sushi. The sushi was delicious! The ingredients used were fresh and the portion size was generous. My husband ordered the chicken Katsu curry which he said was the best he'd ever eaten. I ordered the seafood rice. Mussels were a bit overcooked unfortunately but overall it was really tasty. It was delivered within half an hour too so not too long to wait for food freshly made. Would definitely order from here again.

Gorgeous, freshly made sushi. The sushi rice had a perfect consistency and the seafood toppings were quality. We also went for a tuna poke that was super fresh, varied and flavoursome. Good portion sizes and that saying "you pay for what you get" certainly rings true here. Top that all off with a very friendly (and competent) sushi chef. A most welcome addition to Hornchurch. Ordered £45 worth of food, advocado was brown, all the rice was over cooked and hard, the cooked salmon was also brown and made me heave, the salmon nigiri was actually ok. We ordered vegetable dumpling miso soup which had meat in and they tried to tell us it was tofu but it had Gristle init and tasted like pork, other than the nigiri it all went in the bin, it’s a shame these restaurants are able to send food out like this and get away with it, Deliveroo and the restaurant wouldn’t issue a refund, will never use either again. Order at your own risk… cooked salmon was old and brown, avocado was black inside, ordered veg dumplings and they had meat in them… the food is not fresh and it tasted like it had been left for days, the miso soup tasted like old water and was revolting, everything went in the bin. Total neglect for somewhere that prepares and sells raw fish! I would give 0 stars if I could! Sushi was full of Sharp Bones or Plastic in the Cooked Salmon, ended up cutting my mouth open, extremely dangerous considering you eat sushi whole, they then say I didn't order fish in my order (A Photo of the order can be added here) guess Salmon doesn't count as fish to them? which is concerning on its own... I've have contacted the relevant authorities as this could of ended badly.
Absolutely lovely food never had a problem ordering from here prices are decent for the size of the food, okay delivery speed, drinks however are extremely overpriced but there's a £1 shop & Asda next door so get drinks from there, but overall a decent little Sushi place.

After previously ordering from here we expected the food to be decent although this time the food was disgusting. The rice was overcooked and mushy the chicken and prawn tempura was undercooked, chewy and not nice at all. A really nice place to go to during lunch. The food is at a great value £5 (a bowl) and is very flavoursome. The food isn't oily either and is served by friendly staff! The decor is cool too adding authenticity to eating in. I have eaten in and out and is a great option. I tried a Sushi platter from Miyabi Sushi and I can confidently say it was a five-star experience. The presentation was great and the platter had great variety.

At 9.55pm I rang up to check on the status and he tells me one oft he items on my order (vegan option) is out of stock, with such bad attitude! 1. I ordered a duck donburi but received a chicken donburi, the bao buns were hard and had nothing in them except few strips of beef and 1 slice of cucumber no taste at all went in the bin. The yaki soba was way too spicy and the prawns had the shells on it so had to peel each prawn and didn't understand why there was cherry tomatoes. I'm not sure whether Gourmet Japanese & Bento have changed management or not but they share the same address. While Tilia & Etsu is a new profile on Google, Gourmet Japanese & Bento is established seem to have very poor reviews.
They don't seem to have a shop, just a premises to cook from and provide a delivery service.
Anyway, to my review...
The delivery came on time.
I ordered the Sea Lover Sashimi Box at £15.95 and the Shichimi Chili Calamari £5.95.
Sea Lover Sashimi Box - The Salmon, Tuna and Eel Sashimi were good and fresh but the Prawn Sashimi was the weirdest I've tried before. It looked raw but it was rubbery, chewy and tasted of pickle, it wasn't very nice at all.
Shichimi Chili Calamari - Not really nice, the batter was too thick and the calamari was rubbery.
Edit: I made another delivery order, this time, we ordered a meal deal for 2 (see images), which comes with 2 Donbury Rice Bowls with 4 pieces of Vegetable Gyoza, 12 pieces of Vegetable Maki and 2 selection of Drinks. We chose the chicken and beef rice bowls.
The flavours were great and a very good portion of food that will definitely fill you up. The only problem is that the beef (see image) was tasteless, hard, chewy and dry. It was like chewing on cardboard so it was not prepped/cooked properly and/or used cheapest cuts of meat which was very disappointing.
