When we got there we waited in the queue which in itself isn't unusual but when 70% of the tables are empty begs the issues. We were told that we couldn't be seated while the kitchen catch up with the current orders. All this time the queue was getting bigger. Previous occasion there were no chicken on the bone available and we asked if that was the case on this visit, it wasn't but instead there was a 40 min wait for chicken on the bone. We asked why and it was because the machine doesn't tell them the stock is low, so why don't they check manually??? We ordered food not on the bone and that took a very long time to arrive, we waited over half hr so could have had chicken on the bone considering how long we waited. Tables next to us were all complaining about time taken for food to arrive and a couple tables complained about food not arriving. The experience was poor and in all fairness to the waiting staff they were still providing a good service to customers and were all so lovely and understanding of our complaints. These staff were taking the brunt from angry customers when the management should have stepped up but instead casually going about their day as if there wasn't any problems. If it weren't for the waiting staff, my 3 star for this review would have been a 1. Management need to wake up and realize it is not fair on customers to wait this long and not fair on the staff who were having to deal with all the issues and complaints. Nando's reputation is very important for the brand but this specific restaurant has put it in jeopardy

My experience there was nothing short of terrible. The food was cold ,tasted stale and uncleaned. The chicken was not cleaned properly it was having feathers and skin with hair soggy and greasy. The hygiene standards were appalling, with dirty tables and floors that hadn’t been cleaned in what seemed like ages. The staff were unprofessional and rude, showing no interest in providing decent service. To top it off, my order was messed up, and when I pointed it out, the staff seemed indifferent and didn’t bother correcting it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I asked him to calm down once more. He said he was calm and I would not want to see him angry. He then started to tearfully fill up, when I said I wanted to make a complaint to the head office. He stormed off to get me a number and he then shouted my complaint was not going to be taken seriously whatever and he would not serve me and I was to get out of the shop. The young girl working alongside him was clearly shaken by his behaviour and apologised, when he went out the serving area, she said do not worry I will take your order which she did without issue it came to £18.40 she told me she see's me there all the time and had served me several times before. I was handed the head office number by the disgruntled Michael who then started to help her process my order. I won't be going back any time soon.

Starting with the food, I got a big mo burger meal with an Oreo shake. The burger is very much a Big Mac dupe even down to the sauce. The lettuce, pickles and sauce are all nice and fresh, really uplifting the burger as a whole but the actual burger patties are on par with something you'd get at a car boot, very thin and reasonably tasteless. With that in mind and the price point, I don't see why most people wouldn't just go to McDonalds for a cheaper meal with a better quality actual burger. Chips were pretty good too, reasonably crispy. The shake was very thick and tasty too. The server felt like he'd rather have been anywhere else. When I asked for the shake, he upgraded my meal drink to a shake without mentioning it. The cheese was alright but sadly it was all overpowered by the thick béchamel my box was soggy by the end by all the béchamel I had to scrape off. and sadly the garlic sauce was too liquidy and didn’t contain enough garlic. it just tasted bland and had no flavour on what I was pairing it with. I don’t think I’ll go here again and it definitely isn’t the best chippy in the area by any stretch of the imagination.
