I had requested an early check-in as we had to leave home early due to the storm, and although I wasn’t sure if the message got through, the hotel accommodated us. We had drinks at the bar in the evening and the service wasn’t great, as the bar staff seemed more focused on personal conversations. However, the restaurant staff were excellent the whole time — absolutely faultless. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic — genuinely the best hotel breakfast we’ve had this year. Ordered nachos with beef & a burger for main course. The nachos were a staggering £8.99 with the beef. I had great expectations especially given the price. Well I was clearly wrong, the nachos were terrible. Not only where they tiny in portion size and came with 3 little pots of virtually hardly any sauce, but they were very poor quality nachos. They look like a handful (and I mean handful) of them were put on a plate and put some cheese on top and thrown into microwave. My colleague had the non-meat version which was also a staggering £7.99 for the same (minus the beef). They were all clumped together when trying to eat. It's a 1/10 for me on this starter, the most I've ever paid for nachos and they were terrible. £8.99!! Get real, its a few crisps on a plate with cheese! The Big Dipper Burger was thankfully excellent, although there could have been a few more fries. No complaints with the staff or service, it is just the nachos! Was told waiting time is 30 minutes, was sat down a little less than that. Their Menu has changed since the last time we dined at a TGIF. We had our usual potato skins, chicken wings, and mushroom strips. We dine at TGIF quite often and on different locations and we noticed that the potato skins have less toppings than usual. The steak hubby ordered was too salty but the server replaced it with no problems. They did not have takeaway bags, only boxes which are awkward to carry... All staff were nice, we had some staff on training who served us and service was below what is expected like she just gave us the take away box to put the chips for take away, when the other older staff offered to put them away himself. They also give birthday celebrants a twisted balloon crown which is not done by some TGIFs. Easily a 5 star review. The pub is lovely, located in the countryside just outside of Windsor. The staff were welcoming. I was completely blown away by my room. The rooms are out back and quiet, away from the main pub. My room was beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The underfloor heating was a treat! The shower was beautiful. Loved the complimentary home baked shortbread. To my delight, in the morning I realised that I had access to my own little garden, where I had a cuppa and listened to the birds chirping. We stayed at The Winning post after a trip to Legoland. Location was perfect. Food excellent and the majority of staff were lovely. The decor was eclectic and interesting and surrounded by beautiful countryside. However, First staff member we encountered was surely and unfriendly, he showed us to room 11 (although pre check-in allocated us room 1) no information or communication about the room was provided. We had asked for a twin room as we are friends not partners and would rather not share a bed. The bed was a king size. When we questioned this we were told it could be split to 2 singles while we had our meal. When we returned to the room it had indeed been split. But by someone who clearly resented (my opinion) the job as sheets were not tucked in. The king-sized duvet left on one bed and a double duvet hastily shoved in a single cover, neither ideal when on a single beds. Also beds either did not have brakes or had not been put on as they slide across the room as soon as sat on. The bathroom design means there is no door on the shower so no privacy, again this was an issue for us. This room is not suitable for a non couples. There was also a persistent "drain" (unpleasant) smell which ruined our enjoyment of the room. Without the smell, with a door on the shower and had the beds been as requested this would have been a great stay. I would still recommend as a place to stay if visiting Windsor.

We have been to the Winning Post before and like the ambience and quality of the food - although usually we are at the back. However our experience on Saturday was simply dreadful. My 14 year old son got a headache from the noise and we couldn't wait to pay our £264 bill and leave. What should have been a special occasion for my daughter will instead be memorable for how awful the whole experience was and although the food was good we just wanted to get out. Moral of the tale is if you want to have a quiet special dinner here give it a miss if there is racing at Ascot.

Great location, less than ten minutes drive from Heathrow with ample car parking. It was saturated into the burger bun. A fresh burger was bought out fairly promptly. The food eventually was brilliant, starters and main and the manager took 50% off the bill for the burger issue. Would eat here again, because food was perfect eventually and the restaurant resolved the issues.

They were delicious but the portions were entirely too small for the price tag. For main, we had Pan Fried Sea Bass, Asian BBQ Ribs, Sirloin, Duck Pie, and Fish Pie. All of us were satisfied with our meal. We did not try the cocktails, beer, or wine. From the look of it, service for that was slow too. We watch as a beer go flat on the bar counter before it was taken to the customer. As a visitor to UK, I have way too much to try to warrant another visit. Unless a place is really good, I would not return during the same trip.

Approximately 5 other tables were being served. Firstly the decor is beautiful. The cutlery and wine glasses are also elegant and well chosen. This is a place that you should ever go if your celebrating something special as it would out complement the day. I went in for a Friends 40th birthday and we were not disappointed at all. I had the ribeye steak for the main meal. This is the first restaurant where they give you a whole bulb of garlic roasted as a side and if you like garlic it was amazing. I had a clove of soft amazing garlic with every bit of steak and it almost took away needing a pepper cream sauce that I had with it. The steak was cooked just the way I asked and that was medium rare. They had a sticky toffee pudding on the menu and well that was it. It was a really good sticky toffee pudding as well as you could see and tast then dates in the sponge and the toffee sauce was just the right balance of sweet and buttery. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves a good steak as they also had some other amazing cuts in a fridge when you come in like a tomahawk that looked amazing.

Arrived here and was expecting Robins Nest, which to my surprise it was a different cafe. All the tables in the restaurant had dirty plates and glasses so in order to get a table we had to move it as no staff came over to seat us or clear tables. When going to order I was told there were no jacket potatoes so went for the english breakfast and my friend went for the pesto and mozzarella panini. About 20 mins later our drinks arrived at different times and then my friend was told they had ran out of pesto so she had to change her panini, my friend chose the ham and cheese panini however the waitress returned and said they had ran out of panini bread… It had been a while since the order and i noticed there are jacket potatoes coming out when this cafe had supposedly ran out. My breakfast finally arrived and was cold. The egg was solid and was like it had been sat there solidifying, the bread was stale, the sausage was the worst thing i’ve tasted and was questionable texture, the hash brown was horrid, bacon was ok and overall everything was cheap tasting and unpleasant. When bringing this up to the older lady who worked there she did not care and was extremely rude with attitude and could not even apologise about the food, a sorry would of been better then terrible customer service. At least the drinks were average.

The service was extremely slow and our waitress didn’t check on us at all and I had to look at her multiple times to finally get her over to take away the plates so I could get dessert which she asked if we had ordered when she should’ve seen on the order. It took 30-45 mins for a chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream to arrive which isn’t exactly a big dessert and for her to tell us where the ice cream factory was and how it worked. On top of this where I was sat you could see the waitress I had was to busy on her phone to check on her section and at the time we were the only table in her section and the table before us which was a party they had left about half an hour after we sat down and when we left that table hadn’t been wiped down at all as well as the other tables around us hadn’t been cleaned. The table I was sat at was sticky too. It’s obvious that the online QR is so they don’t have to hire staff and the restaurant in it’s self is run down even after a refurbishment. And if you think this isn’t bad the toilets are vile my dad told me that the guys bathrooms had no toilet roll in the holder and it was all over the floor and the girls where even worse as I experienced that first hand. There was piss all over the toilet so I had to squat and the toilets weren’t flushed and just like the guys toilets the toilet roll issue is the same. It’s obvious these toilets don’t get checked or cleaned at all. I’ll put pictures below. Let’s just say Pizza Hut Bracknell need to step up there game and if they can’t then there time has come to an end.
