Our guides, Ross and Heather, were absolutely amazing — so friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. They brought the history of the mill to life and were happy to answer every question we had. We learned so much about milling and food heritage, and their enthusiasm made it all so interesting and fun. You can really tell they love what they do! Old pub situated in a pretty village. Pleased that we arrived fairly early because it soon became busy despite being a weekday. I was very pleased to find that they had a separate vegan menu - a nice touch. We both ordered faiirly light meals ; starters in fact & enjoyed our drinks whilst waiting for them to arrive. Very friendly & attentive staff. The pub has been quite tastefully modernised & still retains a mass of heavy beams. Like most country pubs The Crown obviously has to rely on it's restaurant trade & seems very popular. My friends prawn sandwich was liberally filled . We both enjoyed our visit. Garden to the far end of the pub. Car park not huge & may become full at times.

We waited over 40 minutes for the food to arrive, when it did I had to ask if it was a main meal - the serving was so small I would guess less than a whole potatoe per person on the plate. We both had the same and ate within about 5 minutes there was so little food. Considering the meal was just under £19 each, while the flavours were good the amount of food was no way a main meal and enough to warrant the price. Given potatoe is so cheap, it seems simple to me to bulk out the meal a little more with roast potatoe and a decent serving of cabbage. Definitely not a main meal, we came away hungry and would advise ordering something different if you want to be full!

On arrival lovely polite welcome by the staff. Shown through to the restaurant which was very cozy, and seated next to the xmas tree. We ordered 3 x Sunday roasts and I had the sea bass. Think there was a bike meet. Outside area is great for kids. We had reserved a table on a Saturday 5pm. The inside restaurant seating area is a couple of smaller rooms. Wheelchair users will have difficulty as the rooms are on different levels. Service wasn't great considering we were the only customers in the indoor seated area. We had to go to the bar to order drinks and again get up to to say we're ready to order food. We asked for the kids food to be served first. Considering the restaurant was quiet we had to wait over 30mins for anything to arrive. The kids food was served after the adults so didn't get that right. The food and overall experience wasn't great and I'd give it a 3/10 and wouldn't go back tbh.

There’s not much parking outside the establishment but once you find a parking it is free. One of my friends made a booking for us to go there and when we went there was also a birthday celebration going on. For food I ordered one of their Beef burgers - the Canadian. The burger was very dry, but the maple bacon and chips were nice. I didn’t like the coleslaw. We ignored the noise and ordered food and drinks the lemonade tasted watered down and was more like lemon juice, the Pepsi was flat. The food arrived I ordered the overload burger with beef patty and buttermilk chicken. The salad was tired and was on the verge of being off as picture shows lettuce. The burger patty was over cooked and the chicken had been cooked in so much oil all you could taste was oil. The bacon Mac and cheese was tasteless you could only taste the crispy bacon bits. The onion rings were frozen as they to were tasteless. Potato salad was just potatoes with sauce on it they wasn't cut up and just had sauce poured over. All in all half the burger was left over as was the onion rings and coleslaw. I'm very disappointed I know it's the weekend and the place was busyish but they should know better.

It's probably one of the best places to go in Biggleswade. Big garden, live music, fun events, street food. Book a table to avoid disappointment. However, sometimes they don't get it right. My xmas meal had burnt potatoes. No alternative, just told not to eat them. One of my party today had rotten lettuce in her salad. Staff member said it was half eaten, didn't want to swap it, didn't apologise. And that is why it makes it on the review, we could have got over the bad lettuce. Update 2025. Steph was amazing as our waitress and worth updating a review for. Chicken didnt hit the spot on flavour but would still return just for the great service! The feast for 4 is very good value.

Having moved up to Biggleswade over a year ago we have tried pretty much all the chinese takeaways in Biggleswade, Potton and Sandy etc. China express at Sandy seemed to be the best and the rest, not sure who has been writing the reviews, but they were terrible....dont even bother! It was a Monday and we fancied a chinese knowing China Express in Sandy was closed so thought we would give this chinese a go. We were a bit fearful admittedly seeing as there were some bad reviews but they seem to be to do with deliery (maybe impacted by Covid at the time?). Anyway, tried it, and glad we did. Prawn balls, banging! Special chow mein, pretty good. Crispy shredded beef, as good as I have had round here. Sweet and aour sauce, lovely, it didnt taste like dish water, which most do round here! Chinese curry sauce - could have been a little better but nothing wrong with it. I love bigging up a good takeaway and this one deserves a good review 👍🏻 This one and China express sandy are the 2 best I have round here.

Arrived just before the booked time and we were met by a member of staff that checked us in and took us to our table which was clean and laid ready. Gravy needs to be thicker other than that good. Dessert was good too although no fresh raspberries on the cheesecake as described on menu my guess is they forgot. It didn’t disappoint. Typical pub menu, main meals and light bites, good selection. The chicken burger was tasty as evidently was the gammon steak. For dessert we plumped for the mini chocolate brownie with a hot drink, just finished off the meal nicely without filling us up too much. Staff all very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was overall okay but the bacon looked like it was on the turn and was quite tough. The place is pretty run down and tired and has a pungent aroma of bleach. Opened up the food, looked lovely however when taking our first bite the chicken was very undercooked, tried calling your restaurant in regards to this and it was constantly busy. We ordered the periasta tower burger meal one regular and one in pitta bread also and spicy rice, the chips were dry and had seemed to be left overs from god knows how long. Spent £21 altogether Inc delivery cost and what a total waste of money. Not impressed at all.
