The only negative (and this sounds ridiculous) the service was too fast. We had barely touched the appetizer when our entrees were placed in front of us. They didn’t rush us at all. I would not recommend this place and I stopped going there a long time ago. I reluctantly went with a friend on Sunday September 21st, 2025. The first thing that was lacking was the coffee, it was not hot and when served, no silverware (apparently they don't know how to set a table) was given, no cream, no sweetener nothing, we had to ask for each item one at a time, and it was like that through the course of the meal. The napkins were the fast food type like you get at certain restaurants that you drive up to. The place was so hot and when we mentioned about that they said the air conditioning is on, oh well I guess it doesn't work. I won't be going back. I thought it was pretty pricey for what we got. I also thought the waitress was dressed inappropriaty for a server. The main door where you walk in was closed and you had to walk up the street to a common entrance with several options after walking up the stairs.

Until just this last two visits the server Alex is awful, and when I say awful, he never even offered us drinks on either occasion. as a manager I know drinks are some of the highest profit margin items in your restaurant how do you not even offer your diners drinks? Just pour them some water and ask what they want to eat? Obvisouly being a regular diner here I saw the dinner menus had been updated online and asked for a second with the menu. when he returned, I ordered the steak and potato bowl that I have had a half dozen times before. Alex informed my wife and I the kitchen staff was "too busy" to mash the potatoes today and would be substituted for roasted red potatoes... Seeing only three other tables with customers and seeing the kitchen staff and Alex standing around chit chatting, I knew it was not a over busy issue it was a staff issue, and just opted to go someplace else for lunch. If the staff is too busy to make what's on the menu. Perhaps the menu should be revamped or the staff should be revamped. My next visit if Chef Brian isn't in the kitchen and Alex is at the host booth I wont even bother coming inside.

We read the positive reviews & we were looking forward to celebrating his birthday here. The water girl was very friendly & attentive. She was the only positive aspect of the entire dinner. FOOD: - Two of the drinks we ordered were wrong. We ordered two sangrias & there was no fruit in them. We mentioned this to the waiter & instead of bringing the correct drinks, he brought over a tiny bowl with a small amount of fruit for the two drinks. We should have known at this point. - I never received my soft drink. - Ordered wings as an appetizer, they came burnt & only received 5 small wings instead of 6. - The bacon on one of the burgers ordered was burnt. - The French fries that came with the two orders were cold & tasted exactly like McDonalds fries. - All the food was brought out & everyone was almost done eating while my sister & I were still waiting on our tiny Margherita pizza. The waiter then came over & said it was done wrong & a new pie had to be cooked & it would take less than 5 minutes, yet we waited almost another 15 minutes. - Finally got the Margherita pie & it is nothing like a true Margherita. Absolutely zero tomato sauce, the cheese tasted very strange & had a strange texture, the crust was very salty. It tasted worse than a grocery store frozen pizza & was $16. - We originally planned on having desert & possibly sing happy birthday but it was such an awful experience & the food was terrible so we decided not to even attempt it. SERVICE: The waiter seemed rushed the entire time although there was just a few people dining. He tried to be friendly & make jokes, but it all seemed very forced & awkward. He never once asked how the food was, if he did we likely would have mentioned all of this. COST: It was over $100 & of course we left a tip. We left so disappointed that this is how my nephews birthday dinner went. I really do not like to leave negative reviews, but cannot comprehend how this place has nearly 5 stars and want to share our experience with others who read reviews so can then decide if they want to eat here.

Crisp cold with the right enough of fruit. Also I ordered a Watermelon cocktail. Since it was my birthday the bonus was a huge cocktail which came in a very cool souvenir plastic bucket.Thank you LA Parilla! Entree of choice( highly reccomed) was the signature chicken Riggies. Which you have a preference on how spicy the dish will be made for you. I chose a level 3. This is the best chicken Reggie I ever had! Lots of chicken with the right amount of pepper and mushroom along with cheese. Taste compared to a chicken wing! Lots of leftovers to bring home and enjoy! Entree came with a large fresh salad. Entree did not include bread. Which I requested. Nice assortment of artisian bread nice and warm. We were not charged for the bread. Good prices for the meal along with a phenomenal atmosphere and server. I only wish I lived much closer so I could enjoy the dining experience LA Parilla offers!

I was not super impressed with the food. The chili tasted like uncooked paprika and chili powder, the meat in the burger was not seasoned and relied on the sauce to make up for it, and the daily pizza special had no sauce and the toppings just fell off the thin crust. A fine dining "like" experience, without too much glitz, glam and outrageous pricing. Our group of 5 had a great experience. Our reservation had us seated immediately and their team went to work. It's really nice inside, small, clean and elegant. There is some nice space outside as well overlooking the city, but too cold to thoroughly enjoy the night we were there. An impromptu early dinner date turned into a beautiful experience. We showed up early on a weekday with no reservations and was lucky enough to still grab a seat outside. I love that this place is just small plates and really great drinks. I'm always a fan of trying lots of things when I go out because I just love food so a few small plates to share was perfect. They didn't seem put off by a deer spirit crashing their restaurant so that in itself is worthy of a 10 in my book. The atmosphere is very laid back and gives a comfortable place to hang ones stiff adventure sore feet. The staff is very kind and quick to assist you if you need anything. The stum of the bard's guitar, and the sound of his voice echoed off the walls and I found myself swaying a long to melodic classics like "Rihanna" from Fleetwood Mac. For dinner we shared the fried chicken with the jalapeno glaze and the crab cakes. The fried chicken was extra crispy, tender, and well balanced. The glaze gave a spicy, sweet deliciousness to the dish. The crab cake was delicious but probably my least favorite thing just missing that wow factor like the other dishes. We also could have used some paper napkins or wet napkins to go with the chicken. To end the night we had the pink panther and the city of gold drinks. Both drinks were absolutely amazing. Both drinks were spicy but complemented by additional flavors that made for a perfect ending to put dinner. If we are in the area again and Justin is working we will definitely be back. They have a nice spicy flavor that's also salty and sweet. Some are hotter than others, some are too soggy, some are just breading, and some the chicken is too dry. They're almost always covered in pickles and served on a plain white bun. The sandwich here was perfectly cooked, inside and out. The breading wasn't thin like these sandwiches have a lot of times. When it comes to a Nashville hot chicken the glaze will so often moisten it and makes the breast a little soggy. Some places combat this with a breading thick enough to make it crispy throughout, but they end up being overly breaded like a lot of chicken strips often are. The thickness of the breadding on this bird was better than I have had anywhere else that was what made this sandwich. It was perfectly crispy with a nice thin glaze, not too hot, but still some heat, and a juicy breast. The layer of pickles were perfectly covering it all. And the soft white bun added to the sweetness of the sandwich. Loved this sandwich and will be back here a lot definitely for harborfest.

We had a long wait just to get food during our last visit here in June 2024, but we decided to give Rudy's another try on this trip. We arrived a bit before 4 PM and had less than a 10 minute wait to place our orders as the restaurant wasn't very busy. We ordered two fish sandwiches and one order of sweet potato fries. Once we'd placed our orders, we had less than a 10 minute wait for our food. The weather was perfect that day, so ate our meals at one of the covered picnic tables outdoors. The fish sandwiches and fries were just as good as they were during our last visit here, although both fish portions were smaller than during our last visit. Our food bill including tax totaled a bit less than $30. All together, our second visit here was a bit more enjoyable due to a wait time for food of less than 20 minutes total start to finish, significantly less than during our first visit here. We'd definitely recommend Rudy's if you're in the area. I'd also recommend arriving early to beat the crowd, especially if the weather is nice. 6/16/24: Rudy's Drive-In restaurant had been on our bucket list after reading the good reviews, so we made a stop here for lunch in mid-June. There's some limited parking roadside in front of the restaurant, and a parking area across the road, but both of those areas can fill up quickly. Beyond that, parking continues along the roadside a little further down. The restaurant was very busy when we got there just before 3 PM on a Sunday afternoon. The ordering process is a little different here. You decide what to order from the menu boards on the walls inside. Then you wait in line to place your order at the counter. They give you a buzzer when you pay, and then you wait for the buzzer to buzz when your food is ready. On the day we visited, we ended up waiting 20 minutes in line just to place our orders at the counter, and then another 25 minutes waiting for our food to be ready for pick up. That may not be the norm. There are plenty of tables in the seating area outside, plus an almost unlimited number of tables located in back of the restaurant, so seating shouldn't be an issue. These flies are mature drain flies, very large and all over the place. I would suggest an infestation! After the server came back to the table, we assumed she would have spoken to the manager.. however she just took the entrees off and apologized. Believe me, this was and is no way shape or form her fault. This falls on the management of this establishment. This place shouldn’t even be open! Someone should really contact the health department, their food brand auditor etc….. oh and stay away from the bathrooms and salad bar! The salad bar is filed it black flies and the food looks as if it sits there all day! The bathrooms are sticky and filed with flies! The owner and managers shud be ashamed to say they work or run this place. Absolutely disgusting! This clearly seems to be an ongoing issue of you read through the google reviews, which the “owner” responds too… but what is actually being done? Clearly nothing because the first review complaining of flies was over 3 months ago! Clean your restaurant or close your doors! The main issue is that she doesn’t follow her own menu as far as what goes on what because, in her own words, she uses what she has on hand. So don’t be surprised when you get a breakfast burrito that is missing 2 of the main ingredients but is packed with a handful of banana peppers instead because she ran out of the other stuff. Wouldn’t be a problem if she let people know when they ordered instead of surprising them when they take a bite. I feel bad for people with allergies and food sensitivities who have to experience this because it’s honestly dangerous to put stuff in peoples food that they did not order just because it’s a “vegetable”.
