We had 27 guests which can be challenging as some people first choice would not have been an Indian meal. Apart from the food service and atmosphere all being excellent the other lovely positive was the incredibly positive comments from the slightly more sceptical guests. We pre ordered and everything was so well organised. Betty looked after us from the pre booking stage. She was wonderful and made sure that everything was as we wanted it to be. A shout out to a staff member who was fantastic with the not small number of children. That helped make it a good experience for everyone. We have been to Dabawal many times but this was the first time in such a large group. I can highly recommend this restaurant to people wanting to celebrate something in large numbers. Food was nice but they didn't have all the ingredients so the two of us basically got the same thing, even though one was supposed to be cheesey (but they ran out of brie) and one was supposed to be spicy (but they ran out of habaneros) and didn't tell us this until they'd cooked it and offered no alternatives. Also didn't offer us sauces until halfway through the meal. I also reckon if you have an open kitchen, it's never a vote of confidence if you drop something out the oven then just bend over and pick it up in front of customers. Nice idea and would go again.
