Always clean and usually busy but it was not when we went this evening. Was nice to get in and have a choice of tables.

I got the double bacon jalapeño cheeseburger with tator tots and a strawberry malt. The malt I didn’t get a picture of because that quickly bring that out to you first so you can enjoy while you wait! I firmly believe in dessert first because you never know when Christ is coming back! I love the atmosphere which is a very old school vibe. The quality of the food was great. Definitely was not the over processed normal fast food joints. The service was quick and very friendly. Quick to accommodate! Pretty good spot! They had half off appetizers and margaritas which allowed us to try s few things! We got the pimento cheese (very good and I enjoyed the homemade crackers), the brussel sprouts were also quite good. my husband got the burger and I ordered the steak lettuce wraps. The burger and fries were very fresh and flavorful. maybe it was supposed to be this way, but the steak for my entree was cooked so much it was crunchy.... The flavor was good, but I found that odd. This was my second visit to Milo and I love the farm to table mission and ambiance! Even though they advertise the brussels as crispy, ours were severely overcooked which made them unenjoyable. They also came out suspiciously fast but weren’t overly hot which made them feel like maybe they were old? The lemon chicken bowl was really good; the chicken was super juicy and all of the flavors worked well together. My friend ordered the egg white frittata and the portion was a bit small, so if you’re hungry you’d definitely need more than just that for your main. It’s weird it doesn’t come with a side of toast, potatoes, or something else.

I like what they are doing here in Waco. Clean and bright interior, fun atmosphere with 2010s alt rock playing in the background. Creative farm to table menu. Nashville hot chicken tacos were a hit in my book, amazing flavor, balanced.

Overall I wanted to love it but man the food just isn't there for me. If you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese food, I wouldn’t recommend coming here. The bread on the Tofu Bahn Mi we ordered was a Ciabatta bread that was stale, cold and dry. I am used to a French baguette that’s crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The tofu was cold and not seasoned or cooked (grilled or sautéed) thoroughly. There was white American mayo inside instead of yellow Vietnamese mayo and the pickled veggies did not have very much flavor. Sadly, the fried rice we ordered was dry and seemed like it had been reheated. I also asked for extra veggies and didn’t receive it. The staff I placed the order with over the phone seemed very abrasive and rude as well. Overall, a disappointing service and food experience.

I really really wanted to like this place. As a Khmer, it's a rare treat to find a place that serves up Khmer cuisine. So traditionally, most really tasty Khmer dishes take a while to prepare and I get that this isn't the place for that (think food truck) so instead of a rural country side dish a khmer grandma made, it's more of a Phnom Penh fast food variety. Again, it's fine but I was missing what my mother, aunt and grandma would make. The dishes, which I included for you to see, were on the dry side and my particular dish was on the salty side. The other 2 said their dishes were on the sweet spectrum and the slices of carrots were dry. Overall, the consensus was that it tastes like generic Chinese take out. Again, you don't see many Khmer, or Cambodian restaurants in the wild and my hopes were high but I was let down. Plus the prices were on the high side...and that's without drinks. So many white people will think Khmer food tastes like generic Chinese take out...please don't!

We have eaten here since it opened. Tonight I got the yellow noodles spice level 2 and my daughter had fried rice with chicken spice level 4. This is what we always order. I was really looking forward to this - in my head I was thinking it was going to be super super cheesy based on their slogan but I was wrong. The pizza was good. Not a big fan of New York style pizza, but this one wasn't too bad. The wings were not that good though, the chicken was almost rubbery, and the skin was not really crispy. They tasted like store bought, frozen wings. They also only really had one worker taking orders. They had a bunch of workers standing around the front counter though. I’ve called orders ahead and had them picked up for me and I wouldn’t be writing a review if it were a one time thing. However at this point it’s now been a constant issue with my orders. Most recently I ordered an agua fresca de limón. When my order arrives to my job and I’m handed my drink I immediately notice the color is off. I give it a sip and well it simply tasted like sugar no crisp citrus notes like natural homemade lemonade or limón would have. I then call to ask about how they make the agua de limón and YES indeed it’s just powdered flavoring. It’s frustrating that online and in store they announce to sell aguas frescas when in reality it’s just powder Kool-Aid/Klass brand etc….. and yet charge as if it were truly a fresh made beverage. If I wanted a processed beverage I would go to any corner store or gas station and even then it would be cheaper. Not to mention that when I call to place my order the lady taking the order seems to be in a rush continuously asking anything else, when I’m not even finish with my sentence. If you don’t have time to take an order it’s okay to communicate that as well, simply say it’s best if you call back or place the order online. I call because it’s quicker but if calling is going to cause communication issues to the point where my orders are being delivered incorrectly every time than I would rather not call, I order from here because it’s closer to my job and convenient but the service and food isn’t what it’s supposed to be.

I was in town for work and decided on something “light” for dinner. This restaurant gives a food truck feel but with a dine in option. I ordered the fajita chicken quesadilla and two beef fajita tacos on corn. Order took about 10 minutes or so. It smelled great! The quesadilla was okay. Very cheesy if you like more cheese than chicken. I prefer an even ratio so I give the quesadilla three stars. But five stars go for the tacos! I can get that all day everyday! Delicious, flavorful, and full of meat. It was so good and I wished I would have gotten more. But it’s a great gem in the city of Waco so I definitely recommend. It gives authentic Mexican food that’s not Tex mex.

This food truck has many positives and the food is definitely one of them. We so appreciate the gluten free nature and how the items are made FRESH and in real time. You can taste that difference. The food is a 10/10 for sure. Our only hiccup was the wait time and availability of items. Magnolia Market on a Saturday is notoriously busy and by 12.15pm there were no kids meals, water, or specialty drinks. Our wait time was over 45 minutes, much longer than the 15 we had been told. Overall they are a small business and luckily their food made up for any other issues and I would still recommend them.

Stopped in Waco on the way through TX and found the Waffle Chic’s food truck. These ladies were so nice and really care about the food they are serving you! Just had the "Spicy Mama" and all I can say is DAMN! Perfect blend of crunch, heat, sweet and savory. The portion sizes are perfect as is but add in a second piece of chicken if you dare. I'm not one to look for gluten free or non-dairy normally but this is "No Compromise" taste. We were visiting from out of town and were recommended this place, so we were looking forward to our experience. That said, I believe this restaurant may be better suited for smaller parties—perhaps four or fewer—based on our visit as a group of ten.
When we arrived, the hostess seemed visibly irritated when we mentioned our party size, even though we were polite and patient. Once we were seated, it took quite a while for our server to greet us and take our drink orders. Unfortunately, the service throughout the meal continued to be slow and inattentive. The server appeared overwhelmed and seemed frustrated when we made standard requests such as refills or additional items. At times, she expressed that she was too busy and had other tables to attend to, which made us feel like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests.

Food is great, parking is tough for husband who is handicap and has to walk from the paid parking behind the hippodrome or when there is event traffic, you have to park even further away. The staff is small so be patient, sometimes it takes a minute to get to you. We love the salsa and black beans with delicious chips. I’m born and and raised in Waco. Used to go to the daycare that was down the street so believe me when I say this place is something. I’ve had really great memories from here and the food was great. Today was not it. But let me tell you why…. If you’re not Hispanic they will try to get over on you. Eat your food there. Do not take it home. Check your receipts as well. The meat will be old and dry because they assume that you don’t know what type of meat you ordered or they think you are too drunk to tell the difference. Honestly there are a lot of tacos trucks that will do this. I would say to still try them out but be vigilant about every detail cause they will cover it up with hella onions. And if this is not true then their meat is just horrible and it is best to just eat it there just in case you need a refund or a remake.

Very disappointing visit. Drove to it because it was late, they were still open, and I wanted REAL tacos. Maybe it was the time of night, I don't know. We ordered chicken tacos and when we got home, they literally FELL APART. The tortillas were soggy and split at the bottom so the contents plopped onto the foil they were wrapped in. I wish I had taken a photo of them after I picked them up so you could see what they became: a chicken and tortilla meal that looked like a meal a homeless person would dig out the dumpster. They were also rather flavorless. I won't be back.

The atmosphere and decor was beautiful and enough to recommend to others. However, our server didn’t come to take our drink order for roughly 20 minutes. The portion and appearance of the cowboy caviar was quite the let down. I ordered a non alcoholic drink that was brought to me with alcohol and it took our server another 20 minutes or so to make her way back to our table in order for me to inform her of the mix up. She stated that the bartender was new. Understandable. After being seated an hour our entrees finally arrived. We ordered the french toast and it came cold. We also ordered the crab cake benedict and the crab cakes were awful and overwhelmingly fishy while lacking any other flavor. Our shrimp and grits were quite tasty and about the only thing we enjoyed. Given the atmosphere of a gorgeous hotel we expected the culinary experience to match. Artistically, it leaves much to be desired. The quality of our dishes were the most disappointing.

The outside of the building had a lot of character and was fascinated by the overall industrial architecture. Once you stepped inside and turned into The Brasserie, you would almost have to do a double take that you entered the right building. The interior was decorated really nicely, and it gave a Gatsby-like glamour.
Service:
The moment we stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by the main lobby host, and once I told him I had reservations for brunch, he notified me of The Brasserie location. Once introduced to the host of The Brasserie, I was asked if I was waiting for the rest of the party and then had another hostess walk us to our table. Throughout our entire brunch, the waitress was helpful in recommendations and was really attentive to us.
Quality:
I was really in the mood for a latte, and the waitress mentioned that I wouldn't be disappointed with the Maple Pecan Latte. I went ahead and ordered it, but soon after, I noticed a cinnamon roll on the menu (I ALWAYS order a cinnamon roll if it's on the menu) and put in an order of that as well. That cinnamon roll was by far one of the BEST cinnamon rolls I've had. It was really warm, and the icing really complimented the bread. The Maple Pecan Latte had a lot of flavor and enjoyed seeing the latte art. For my entree, I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and the portions were more than enough. The eggs were made perfectly, and they were not joking about the breakfast potatoes. A couple of mine looked like a quarter of a potatoe, and I enjoyed both the seasoning and crispyness on them.

If you haven't already guessed it, my recommendation is going to have to be a cinnamon roll. You will NOT be disappointed!
