A stunning white sand beach that truly lives up to its name. Plenty of cafés and restaurants to enjoy your lunch or dinner or a quick bite as well. However, was quite crowded when I was here. The water is crystal clear. Perfect beach!
Beautiful white sand beach, the longest and most busy on Koh Samet. Many choices for restaurants and beach sports.
Nice resort connecting 2 beaches, one is famous long white sand beach 'Sai Keaw' and rocky beach (for sunrise).. Stayed at Deluxe Premier room (some will have ocean view.. mine is 207)
STOP WITH THE 5 STARS REVIEWS!!! Biggest let down of my life! I will never suggest the beach! Full of people! Small beach... Tourist trap
Beach hosted by army. Nice clean calm beautiful Beach. Must visit during your stay in pattaya. Family friendly. Restaurants & Toilets are available at Beach
White Sand Beach, beatiful and a lot of places to eat. You can take a boat from Rayong Pier.
Stunning white sand beach that lives up to its name. Plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants with the odd Papaya salad/grilled chicken seller setting up in the middle of the beach. The water is crystal clear and you can see fish when the tide isn't so rough. Perfect beach!
NICE BEACH, SUNBEDS 100 BAHT, SUNCHEERS 50 BAHT OR CONSUMATION DRINK AFTER FREE mostly on Beach!

This beach is a fairly quiet beach and not crowded by tourists. There is a few big resorts here in the upper price range. The water here is beautiful and clear and great for snorkeling and swimming and you can rent snorkels here. It is abit away from the major tourist area so maybe hire a motorbike to get here like we did. Beautiful area overall.
On April 16th, I had the chance to visit Ao Phrao with my family. We traveled there by motorcycle. Although the sunlight around 10 a.m. was quite intense, the cool breeze made everything feel more refreshing. The atmosphere at Ao Phrao was peaceful and serene. The sea water was clear, allowing us to see the sandy bottom. The blue of the ocean contrasted beautifully with the green of the surrounding trees. We took a stroll along the beach for a while. This bay is perfect for relaxing or swimming in the sea. We also had time to capture some lovely shots of the sea and sky, which looked bright and vivid at that time of day. If you're planning to visit in the late morning or during the day, it’s best to bring a hat and sunscreen, as the sun can be quite strong. But if you prefer a more pleasant and cooler atmosphere, early morning or late afternoon would be more suitable. Since there aren't many shops around Ao Phrao, it's a good idea to bring your own drinking water or snacks.
The perfect beache to enjoy a beautiful sunset. The water was crystal clear and the beach clean. Less crowded than a few others I was at. Also, walk on the ramp to go a bit further into the sea for a better experience as well.
Went there for the sunset. Nice beach with many people but not too crowded. Clear sea and white sand but be careful when walking in the sea as there are many rocks and I got cut on my toes. But overall, it was great!
Very nice beach on the west side of Koh Samed where you can enjoy a nice sunset. Shame the high tide brings many plastic debris on the shore. As this is a natural park island I think they could keep it beeter. Maybe they could use part of the entrance fees (200 thb per tourist) to do some more regular beaches cleaning up. There's also some wild life around. A monitor lizard passed by whilst we were enjoying our time on the beach
Spent the day here, beach lovey and clean and water cycstal clear. All the sunbeds on the beach belong to hotels, so take a towel. We spent the day at the mid point restaurant, and they did not complain. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and romantic, this beach is ideal.
Lovely place to just relax with a drink. Oh coconut ice-cream with mango was to die forb
Fantastic little bay, restaurants and bars available , beach not taken over by resort only sun beds.

The great entry to Koh samed
Entrance fee is 40 baht per person for Thai, non Thai is 200 baht. This is the national park fee.
Ok facility, a bit run down and in need of maintenance. The for the entry to the park was pretty quick.
During COVID-19, all passengers can only enter Samed island through this pier. And because Samed island is a National Park, so need to pay entry fee when enter. Foreigners: 200 baht Thai: 40 baht
Samet Island is good for one-night stay 超级重点:租摩托车一定要拍照,特别是划痕!!! 摩托车一天250-300THB. 1, usually the public ferry departs from Sri Ban Phe pier near Ekkamai bus station, 60 THB one-way ticket, and arrive in the main pier koh Samet Na Dan Pier, you can rent a motorcycle, usually 250-300THB/day, remember to take photos of the motorcycle before you leave, even Scratch!!!!!!otherwise there may be dispute when you return it. 2,when you arrive and take local taxi, green car, you will be charged 200THB for national park entrance fee for foreigners... so, it is better to rent a motorcycle and just go directly through the wide gate. 3,you can see fire show on the beach where restaurant ploy Talay is, usually starts at 8:20-30pm,you don't have to dine in the restaurant. 4, there is mosquito on the beach, just bring some mosquito spray. 5,there is local restaurant and 7-11 near entrance of National Park gate and main pier, too. enjoy your trip!
a warning about paid entry is required
Good pier but the Mermaid was a bit scary 😨 took 200 bath tax to enter the pier.
"nice surprise" 20 bath to pay after arrive on the pier. Mafia style!

Most Thai people like to come here the beach is reasonable long clean and quite many activities food is reasonably priced. In the evening you can relax on the beach platform have a beer and dinner and below you the tide splashes against the beach. This place is cool.
The beach is beautiful and perfect if you want to do nothing very much, you can walk about hundreds of yards and still just be up to your waist in warm water, and there''s nothing to see, dead coral, a few unexceptional fish and that''s it. There is paragliding and ski jets if that''s your thing, and a couple of decent restaurants
CHANGED A LOT!! We used to come here the last few years and now it changed. They built a speed boat terminal to bring more tourists like this. What a shame we came here for the beautiful quiet beach and now it’s noisy almost all day! They rent as well jet skis which make it even worse. Some speed boats don’t even stop at the terminal, they drive straight to the beach for the spoiled tourists. So you have the smell of gasoline and burned fuel while sitting on the beach or having dinner. Too bad, for us it was the last time here I will have to tell my friends as well.
In Koh Samed. Ao Wong Duean is the best place for me and I recommended for western Family. The Beach clean for kids, there are restaurants, drinks and nice music for parents, especially not so crowded.
Must be one of the top beaches on the island
Lovely and quiet place (when I went there).
The beach here was really nice and not crowded. A few resorts around but not many. You'd have to go further up the island for more of a night life scene.
Superb beach and resorts. Quieter than other areas which suited us. Great choice of restaurants at good prices. Recommended 😊

Great beach to relax. It's not a private beach but access via a resort so you might have to buy some drinks or food from them, which is fine. Toilet and shower are clean and again if yoi don't stay there, just have to pay 20 baht for toilet and 50 for shower. It's worth visiting for sure!
Just stunning, what a beautiful beach to visit. Clean sands, clear beautiful water. A very well kept private resort. Restaurants, live music, calm and polite staff to great at every facility. I went there just to enjoy some lunch and a walk on the beach. So so beautiful and very well priced for the outlook and feel. Highly recommend to explore the island when staying on Koh Samed as there some hidden treasures. A little hard to find but Google maps will get you there.
One of the most beautiful beaches on the island – peaceful, cosy, and truly paradise-like. Very few tourists, which makes it even more special. From here, you can spot amazing fish while snorkeling near the rocks, as there are endless corals. The coral beach is simply stunning!
Wow this beach is divine!!! Crystal clear water, white sand, like taken from a movie, getting there by a “Songram”, there is a “restaurant” in the beach - pricey then usual, going back is a bit hard since no timetable known for the songram.
Beautiful place, lovely to swim and relax. There were more facilities then I had expected including inviting Restaurants. I would love to come back here and spend more time.
Great beach - some of the cleanest water I’ve swum in in Thailand and that includes islands like Koh Tao and Koh Kood. Water was great temperature and sand buttery soft. There is a resort attached to the beach which knocks out a relatively decent meal and isn’t too badly priced.
Good beach but the stupidity of other tourists is amazing for example it's a 100m long beach and other tourist screaming when talking will park up 5m away from you
Very nice and quite beach. There is a resort on the beach and one restaurant managed by the resort. No sunbeds but enough shade under trees.

Safe swim with kids, soft sand, warm water, the rocks makes more adventure on the beach. Afternoon till dinner time is the best with many restaurants and bars along the beach
The beach is polluted severely, this island is amazing but local infrastructures are very bad. Thailand is a great country, they need to rebuild the environment first and to make tourists feel better, which can also benefit the local residents a lot If EV motorbikes become prominent in Thailand, I think this country will return to a quiet, clean and beautiful country again
Beautiful view. Not for easily seasick
Another small beach bay with fine white sand, but with more bars and a party vibe compared to Samet Beach. Not many dogs and no public toilets but plenty of restaurants and bars around. Good for swimming or relaxing as shallow and not deep gradient.
Awesome beach to spend relaxed time. It's small and does not have any restaurants around to disturb you. Clean water. Pretty good for natural photography without any construction around.
Small but quiet not much tourist. And very nice the tree gate.
Beautiful beach with a lot of chairs to rent, get massages or eat and drink. Great spot for kiddos too.
Very cozy and authentic island. Silver sand resort I liked very much. Very friendly staff, tasty food, good beverages, amazing fire show, romantic atmosphere. Room also good, you can find everything needed. Unfortunately it was wavy that's why water wasnt clear but this is out of human control.

Very awesome place, the beach is great with clear water, breakfast buffet was filling and delicious. Restaurant in the evening was first class and not crazy prices albeit more expensive than the town on the island. The staff are excellent, very friendly and polite always smiling 😁😁😁. The rooms are fair, comfortable and clean. I had a TV which had YT but I know some rooms don't have smart TV. My big grizzle would be the constant music which I personally didn't find relaxing. There was also noise from a Reggae bar on the beach which to me is utterly emetic. However others like it apparently. At 7.30 on the two nights I was here the restaurant turned the speakers up to max volume. I've no idea why. It was dreadful. This lasted an hour on both occasions. Please, management have you checked this is really what your guests want? I still give 5 stars as it's a really good place. The restaurant permits smoking.
We stayed in an Ocean Suite (room 105) and the view was five star. Room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and great bath. Breakfast was good for Samed- choices available and decent quality. Small things with the room would have made a difference if looked after- a few light bulbs were missing, no table beside the bath made it awkward to use plus bath plug didn’t work, and the sun lounge bit underneath was dirty (we didn’t use it but beach had great spaces to chill). We would go back for the room and view if the price was okay- it’s not 5000THB place as I’ve seen it advertised at but that room for 3,000 was fair value.
Mixed one, definatley the dissapointment of our trip but not a bad hotel per se. The location is a bit painful but the beach is probably one of the best, if not the best on the island as the water is clear as there is little water traffic and it has a long shallow slope with no rocks. The room was a dissapointment I did think that for the price it would be bigger and I had opted for the pool option with a garden view. The garden view was more electrical substation that garden and the plunge pool was freezing cold and never used. The breakfast at the hotel was dissapointing compared to others in Thailand, not much friut or wester options. The restaurant otherwise was good and I did feel a bit sorry for them as it was always empty as there are other restaurants along the beach for a fraction of the price so everyone seemed to go there. One big annoyance was the watersports as they dont really do any. I had read that we could borrow kayacs etc for free but when I tried they told us that it is only available to people who book direct (we had bookd through booking . com) so I paid my 600 bahts and got a kayak that sunk as there was a hole in it.. which was a pain in the butt! Overall, it was OK but I woudl not go back.
We've had a good time here. Spent five nights in total. We booked the garden view bungalow and it was as expected regarding the fair price. Clean place, free water daily, had no issues. Breakfast is fine too. There's plenty of stuff to choose from, including freshly made egg varieties and such. It's located at one of the best beaches on the island and there's no noise from bars like on other beaches. It's actually more of a hideaway than a party resort and this is what we were looking for. Don't let the negative reviews spook you, the staff is really friendly and they organize tours and taxis for you if you like.
We had a great time here. We were in one of the beach front rooms. The staff helped us in many ways. Thank you too all the friendly, hardworking staff, we had a great time. Just a heads-up: the floors are slicker than they have any right to be. We removed the doormats because they were basically traps. You're welcome.
Had a great stay! The beach is lovely. Hotel restaurant is nice! Bar is brilliant. Hotel is really well looked after. This is a really nice place to stay. V relaxing holiday and not loud. Beach cabins are great. You can walk to beaches north or south of this so exploring is possible too. Breakfast is fine, nothing special, but it’s okay. Fire show and live music too.
They don't inform on the occasion there are for example no water to the showers and sink, and it appears there are full facilities. The water came back later during the evening, the shower then started by itself and flooded the bathroom. This is normally no problem since it's so close to the sea and it's vacation, however they must inform about it, so its possible to plan accordingly. They did the opposite, and tried to conceal it as long as possible. We went to our dinner without shower or toilet working, and it was very sweatty, not fresh. They also promised discount because of this lack of water, and asked us to come down to the reception, but when we were there they just turned us down again, and we got no compensation whatsoever. Not ok. Not even any excuse. So its because of this a low rating. The room was otherwise pretty decent, but very easy to overhear, and the morning moped, for cleaning, was rather loud and wake you up around 8. It worked for us but, the hygiene and watersupply drags it down. The breakfast personel doesn't greet you, and this is one of two very important things. The first thing you hear in the morning is "Hello", or "Good morning". And when arriving they were actually nicer. But in the morning they were really dull, there were supervision-cameras at every table(!), and overall they didn't really made our day. They have to work on all those things in my regard, probably one meeting with clear instructions for all personell is enough to lift it two or three steps !
"Scammed from Start to Finish – Worst Hotel Experience Ever!" Problem 1: Transportation to the Accommodation I called the accommodation to ask if there was a boat that goes directly to Ao Cho. They said, “Yes, there is. You just need to pay 399 baht per person.” So we parked our car at the café, where the staff would take us to the boat. Reality: They put us on a speedboat, dropped us off at the main pier, and left us to carry our luggage off the boat ourselves. Then they directed us to talk to a songthaew (shared pickup truck) driver and pay an extra 250 baht separately. When the driver asked us for payment, we called the accommodation again because we were confused. Why did we have to pay more? The staff responded, “The boat only drops off at the main pier. You have to pay for your own ride from there.” We were shocked — this felt like a scam. The boat ride was actually much more expensive than booking from any other pier. Problem 2: Wrong Order My partner and I ordered strawberry and kiwi smoothies, but the staff made blueberry and strawberry instead. It was confusing — especially since we were the only customers on the beach at the time, and they still got the order wrong 😵‍💫 Problem 3: Drinking Water Not Sealed When we checked in, the staff showed us the room and pointed out that there were two complimentary water bottles. We noticed that the bottles could be opened easily. Upon closer inspection, we saw a label saying the bottles are reused, so we assumed the hotel follows a sustainable practice. But the next day, we came back and found new bottles with plastic seals — so we were left wondering, what exactly did we drink yesterday? Was it clean? Contaminated? This was extremely unsettling. Personally, this was the worst part of the entire stay 😡 Hotel’s Solution: They upgraded us to a more expensive Ocean Suite as an apology. But the room was old, the door didn’t shut properly, and there were lots of bugs coming in. Problem 4: Missed the Boat We Booked On the morning of checkout, we booked the 12:30 boat with reception. We asked what time we should check out, and the staff told us “12:10” and said they would have the boat wait for us. We followed their instructions and left at the recommended time, but when we got to the pier, the boat had already left. We called to ask why it didn’t wait, and the staff raised their voice at us, saying we were late. They even brought up the fact that they had already upgraded our room, as if to say, “What more do you want?” I was baffled by the response. This was the worst service management I’ve ever experienced in my life. 😭

This should be the most beautiful beach on the island; the view is so nice & the sea is quiet. There is a cozy resort here. We even had the chance to meet the couple of hornbill birds on that day. So lovely.
It's amazing how much garbage there is around, I would have thought that it was brought by the waves, but on the rocks you can see old refrigerators and construction waste.
Not sure if those rocks are human-made or nature-made but they look amazing the way they are there. Nice view to see the sunrise/set. The walking bridge is great but slippery. Be careful when walking especially when it rains.
A place with stunning views but sadly lacking care. The natural setting is truly breathtaking—but it’s disappointing to see plastic waste scattered around. For a place labeled a “reserve,” cleanliness and upkeep fall short. It’s worth a quick 10-minute stop for the view and a photo, but not much more. There’s a small bar with a few drinks and snacks, plus convenient parking. With more attention, this spot could really shine.
Kinda private beach from the resort but open for public. Had lunch at the resorts restaurant, food and price pretty ok. Make it official with coconut drink
Just another beach to relax on at Koh Samet. Very peaceful with not a lot of people around. Lounging chairs set up along the beach in the shade of the trees which made it even more relaxing. Food and drinks are available here and the views are amazing. Only visited during a beach hopping tour of the island but would love to come back to stay for a few days.
Nice place 👌 private resort, wish the beach was better, too rocky for me but my girlfriend liked it. Bed was best yet, I'm finding beds too hard for my liking, but the bed here was softa, wish they run something like a taxi to inland and back
At the end of Koh Samed far away from the pier...this is a fantastic place to walk around. To reach one can walk 7+ Kms, use a tuk tuk or use a motorcycle. It has 2 viewing sides ...both wonderful to explore. We spent about 2 hrs here.

Nice, clean and quiet private beach in front of a resort. Water quality is good and clear. There are toilets in the resort but you have to buy something here to use the beach or facilities. Parking is behind the resort. Toilets inside the resort.
My favorite place on this island. Few people, white beaches and beautiful scenery. By some reason very few people come here, instead the clump together at the main beach by the main road. The resorts here are very cheap and "basic", still I got my gf to agree to move here a few days just to fall asleep from the sound of the waves and to wake up with the ocean right outside our balcony. If you can survive simple accomadations this is a hidden gem!
Beautiful and quiet beach BUT BE CAREFUL if you stay outside of the main area. From 3/4 pm you might encounter some sunflies there (like a bunch), I stayed there 20 mins and I was bitten on the whole body. It is extremely itchy for several days - nearly a week. Avoid this part at this hour.
Very beutiful and quiet
Beautiful, peaceful and quiet beach
Nice place to relax with clear sea and blue sky.
Nice view over the island of Koh Samet
Clean and calm ! Relaxation at it best 👍
